Dairy Queen in other cities:
I grew up eating at this DQ and I usually stop in (or drive thru) at least once a week. Ive never seen it as bad as it is now. The food has improved lately, MOST of the staff is friendly, but if you stop by thinking youre going to cool off, just keep on going. The AC doesnt work. I stopped in today and it was hotter inside than outside. Also, the flies are bad. And speaking of, last week I stopped in to pick up a go lunch and the idiot manager was walking around with bug spray trying to spray each individual fly. I feel bad for the employees at this location. Their employers obviously dont care about their work environment, and that manager obviously cant handle the responsibility.
$50 dollars worth of food and we got half full fries the burgers were falling apart and they failed to add veggies to all of our burgers, although we said all the way. They seemed nice but I guess their real feelings came out on how they put the food together. Smashed together, opened burgers and 5 fries per fry holder. Its sad, this place used to be good. Now its worked by trashy kids and adults who just want a pay check and dont feel the need to work hard for it.
Havent been to a DQ in quite some time. Unfortunately this visit reminded me why. Only a couple of other people in restaurant and they already had their food. Took longer than it should have to get our order and then mine was wrong 😕 If there was a plus side the fries were fresh and hot
3:00P.M. not really busy, but waited 30 minutes for a cheeseburger, fries, and 4 blizzards for the family. Asked for a refund . The manager offered me 6 dollars and change. Showed her on my reciept where it was 19 dollars. She still shorted me almost a dollar. I shook my head and walked out. Floors were filthy. Trash, and French fries everywhere. Also my daughter put napkins down where the table was sticky. The date was 1-20-18. In case any area manager would like to see who was working.
This place should be a historical landmark, not a hysterical mess! I went there one day not so long ago for a late lunch and there were only 2 girls working the afternoon rush. I asked the lady where her help was and she said were short staffed and my manager had to run an errand for the store. Well, I know what the manager drives and it was parked out front. When I left, I looked in her car and she was in there, asleep. Really? Theres nothing wrong with this location that getting an actual manager wouldnt fix.
Negative 10. I thought I would give it another chance with new mgmt. Bad idea!! I Ordered 6 tacos it took over 30 mins. After they made me pull around in the hot sun and wait. Oh! Speaker is still not being utilized. Thats a wait. They bring me my tacos, stone cold. Ok! The wait. I get not fast food but fresh food so I whip back around and tell them the tacos are mushy and cold. The girl told a lady I guess a key employee. So, the girl comes back to me, & says she told her there not cold. Really! 2 mins later I had 6 tacos in only new shells, the meat was still cold. I dont know how the employees are treated, put as a company what you put in, is what you get!!Clifton is a small town. That store could be making money hand over fist. You guys just have to regain the citys TRUST. thank you for listening. #nevernobananas# Jackie Brown
It all depends on who is working, I guess. One day the patty melt has American cheese, the next it has pepper jack. By the way, I cant eat anything remotely spicey, so the pepper jack was a horrible idea. One day the burgers are put together right, the next you have half your veggies on one side and half on the other. Nothing like having to break down and reassemble your own burger. Oh, and sometimes the meat is like trying to eat burnt shoe leather. Im trying to find that one thing that never gets messed up...
Dirty restaurant- we skeed around instead of walking from the grease caked on the floors all the way throughout into the bathrooms, tables and chairs were not cleaned, trash piled up. Food took about 45 mins dine in, drive thru was taking 20 mins or more. My son broke out in an entire body allergic reaction lasting 6 weeks, scarring his body permanently, from this. Will not be returning.
I love to stop at Dairy Queens when we travel. They are all fairly consistent in quality and they always have Sweet Tea. When we stopped at the DQ in Clifton last week, I ordered Sweet Tea. I paid the ticket and was given a drink glass. I had finished off the Sweet Tea I bought in Houston and was ready for a fresh glass. When I went to get the Sweet Tea I ordered, there was none. In its place was artificially sweetened tea, Sweet Tea is made with sugar, period. I was very upset that I wasnt told We do not have Sweet Tea when I placed my order instead of taking my money and leading me to believe I would get what I ordered, silly me! I asked for a refund which they gave and we drove on to the DQ in Glen Rose where I was served delicious Sweet Tea and we enjoyed our meal.
If you ever pass through Clifton, Tx. Stop on by the DQ there. The hospitality & food is on point. Next time I am there, I will upload the amazing Hunger Buster picture that will have your taste buds ready to explode. I have been to other DQ places and the service and food was very poor but, not in Clifton, Tx. They take the cake on this one, with quality service, food and a smile.
Bad service! Young, dark-headed guy (didnt get his name) was rude, acted like he didnt want to be there, and like it was killing him to take our order. It was Mothers Day for petes sake!! I was traveling with my mother & father, and we wanted to stop for ice cream. What better place than DQ, right? WRONG if you stop at this place. My mom wanted a waffle cone and this guy said we dont have waffle cones... mom said oh, I saw it on your menu, so I thought you had them, and she was quickly answered with an abrupt WE ARE OUT. As we ate our ice cream, I noticed a girl making waffle cones. So, the appropriate thing for this guy to have said was we are out at the moment, but it will only take about 5 minutes if you would like to wait for one. He continued to look at us as if we had two heads for asking such a thing! Then he kept getting on his cell phone. I really doubt that is what DQ is paying you for, SIR! Sad that one person can ruin an entire restaurant, but it did. Manager, you might want to talk to the kids you have working at your store because they are the face of your establishment, and their lack of professionalism can turn customers away. Youve lost us. We will not return to this DQ.
Sat in line at the menu for several minutes nobody ever came on and took my order so I drove up to the window for several minutes still no service i even called before in arrived to order ahead no answer sat and watched 3 cars pull away and they werent that busy this place needs help

2022-04-27Marilyn had a bunch of stuff thrown at her at once. She remained calm, polite and did an out of this world job! The kitchen staff got our food out quickly and accurately!! Good job!

2022-05-26I gave them two stars, because the facilities were comfortable and clean. First of all I waited 20 minutes for my food, and I was the only customers there. When I finally got my hamburger, it was not right. By the time the mistakes were corrected it was cold. I will not go back!

2022-03-29This Dairy Queen is in a very small town, so I get it’s probably regularly understaffed. However, the store was fairly slow to get things out. I staff was a little disorganized, but I feel that was a result of only three people working. The manager on duty was running as fast as she could, but bless her heart, things were definitely getting back logged. I originally planned to go through the drive through, but this parking lot had the really bad drive through design common to small Texas towns. The one with a block off single lane off the highway with the intercom immediately on turn in. No more than two vehicles can occupy the lane at a time… one if they have a trailer.

2022-04-02It isnt often customers give 5 stars when your order doesnt come out to your table, but instead goes to a different table that ordered after you. Today that happened to our family, but Amanda went above and beyond our expectations to rectify the situation. We will continue to be Clifton DQ customers thanks to her!

2022-06-23Not the best food. Service was ok, young kiddo at window was trying. Blizzards were good. Sea salt toffee brownie blizzard thing tastes cheap. Avoid it.

2022-04-05We entered and was greeted. Only thing was the manager who was loud and rude to the workers. I thought they did great for only 3 workers there but the Manger was very rude. The food was great.

2021-10-01I want to send a very Big, Thank You SO Much, to the crew that worked on this night. By all reason it looked as if they were closed. But because they took the cops order in front of me.I had actually followed the cop into Dairy Queen, I was hungry as well and was looking for some place to eat and I followed him in.So He orders and as I pulled up to order myself thinking in the back of my mind that they may turn me away, they very pleasantly surprised me and took my order; Talk about customer friendly and going OUT of their way, This place hit the nail right on the head. Way to go.
