Had my daughters 13th birthday dinner there - party of 12. They were very accommodating, and the food was good. Lots of choices on how we wanted to have the dinner. We opted to pick a couple of dishes and appetizers and have our own little buffet. Pricing was great! Would definitely use them again for a get together!!
Fellow foodies - We had lunch here one appetizer and two dishes. Food was good.Coming to the bad part and the reason for 1 star — check came and it was reflective of what we ordered but when they charged the credit card it was $20 more. We pointed to the server and she acknowledged the mistake. She said they will adjust it later on. When we called back same evening, they said no one in the restaurant can refund to the card and the owners were out of country (pretty weird no one in restaurant can process the refund) so it will another 4 days for refund. 3 weeks passed no refund of excess charge that was made on the card and when we called again multiple times, the response is manager will call back but they never do.This is not anywhere close to Texas hospitality. Pretty shady business and do not recommend to anyone.I usually don’t write reviews but because it is unacceptably bad I wanted to share
Went here on Thursday 8/18 to have a small birthday lunch for my son going back to college. Seemed nice, but they had no lunch menu and the prices seemed to be dinner prices. When we asked the server, she told us they were changing the lunch menu and didnt have separate prices at this time. Okay, seemed reasonable except when we got our orders they all looked like lunch sizes at dinner prices. My Chicken Parmagiana didnt have enough spaghetti for a side dish on a kids meal and the chicken was so over-cooked it was like chewing fiber. My wife ordered Spaghetti w/ marinara sauce and she NEVER complains about anything but I could see her looking at the small bowl wondering what else she would need to order to fill her stomach since there was no soup or salad to help. Ditto with my sons spaghetti and meatballs, could have been a kids meal. The service was decent when the waitress came by, but she sat on her phone in another part of the dining room far too much....and get this/it is an Italian place and we had to ask for parmesan cheese twice, shouldnt that be a staple? Overall, a disappointing experience and I wont care to go again. No one complained, because it was a family get together with our adult boys and one of them had to get on the road. Thought with the good reviews they had, it would be better but if you look online the recent reviews are tending towards more complaints. Maybe there are new owners? Mediocre food and too high a price for the product .....maybe that was why there were only two tables with customers for lunch? Oh yeah, the thermostat was set on the wall to 81, when I hugged my son to go he was sweating. No way to enjoy a meal....81?
Ordered a drink was never delivered. Had to ask a different wait staff person to deliver. Ordered a menu item with a slight variation, wrong meal delivered. Asked 5 minutes after returning the meal it o wanted the plate I returned or have a new meal prepared. Asked for the original meal to be prepared and placed in a to go box as my husband was finished with his meal at this point. Food brought to me on a play to eat dining in. 1 star rating. Food mediocre and service, well just read my comments above.
Honestly no complaints. I enjoyed every bit of it. the food was amazing and so was the service. I got their combo plate and my fiance got their alfredo. Definitely will be going back there again. The only thing to keep in mind is if you are short your legs might dangle in the booth.
Recommended by a friend. Poor service. Party of three. Took ten minutes from time first two entrees were served for the third entree to arrive. Calamari appetizer was tasteless. Food was heavy on salt. (Salty Marsala sauce?) Veal was fatty and chewy.Pasta was mushy. An Italian restaurant that doesnt serve Italian bread? We ordered Italian cream cake for dessert. It was dry. Almost $100 for three with tip for bad food and bad service. First time in years I didnt leave a 20% tip.
ADDENDUM TO JOSEPH EGER REVIEW:Spoke to Rina from the restaurant. She offered to give us the refund we were promised. This is in writing in response to our first review. Now she decided she will not give us a refund, only a store credit. Promises, promises. Poor customer service and poor delivery with an order that was spilled all over the bag due to poor packaging.LOOK AT YOUR RESPONSE. YOU CONFIRMED GIVING A REFUND. A CREDIT AT YOUR RESTAURANT IS NOT A REFUND. FINDING ANOTHER RESTAURANT WOULD NOT BE HARD CONSIDERING THE LOW QUALITY SERVICE YOU OFFER.
Ordered food for 5 people. Order was missing an item (got a credit through door dash for missing item). Was packed terribly. When received the bag was all wet and torn on the bottom because trays were sideways. The order should have been separated into two bags instead of being piled up on top of each other. Called the restaurant to let them know that food was leaking all over the bag. Spoke to the manager who promised me a partial refund for this. Refund was never received. Won’t order from here again because of their dishonesty and carelessness.Addendum: it was the way YOU packed it. 6 tin foil trays stacked in one shopping bag. And two of the trays weren’t sealed properly. That has nothing to do with the driver.
I’m so so disappointed. I just ordered 2 shrimp and chicken alfredo pasta and what I got is a “non taste alfredo sauce” with only 4 mini overcooked shrimps. I had to put salt, black pepper and extra Parmesan cheese but nothing.. it was just like a heavy cream on it and that’s it. Non flavor at all. .. BTW, there’s no chicken anywhere neither. Very sad and very disappointing.. I won’t order here again.
The young guy waiting on us gets 5 stars, the host was extremely attentive with good wine recommendations. The restaurant itself smells like smoke and the food was not even edible. The calamari was soggy and rubbery, I had to have my frozen chicken patty aka chicken parm taken off the bill because it was soggy on 1 side and burnt under the cheese. My hubbys marsala was also frozen chicken. The fresh bread was very yeasty and tasted reheated. I will not be back. Tough crown when your a real Italian from NY!
Truly fresh Italian food. Everything is made in house. Freshly made pasta, not dried. Tomato sauce that comes from fresh tomatoes, not a can. Everything that I have had so far (and my husband and I have eaten there four times, three times as take out, once in the restaurant) has been delicious. When we ate in the restaurant, the server recommended a lovely Italian wine that I had never heard of. Im picky about wine, and it was a perfect complement to the meal. The server, an older woman whose kids had grown up and moved away, also talked about how she enjoyed working there because it was like being surrounded by family again. They obviously treat their employees well.A fantastic restaurant that my husband and I will be eating at (or bringing take out home from) often.
Absolutely love this place...not only for the food but for the charming people that own and run this place! They welcome us like family and treat us even better! Love the drinks, calamari, homemade bread, salads, pasta....all of it! If you want a down home Italian meal...put this place on your radar!
Well.... ok... the 1st time we ordered, we had it delivered... it was not bad. Tonight, we picked it up. When we walked in, there were 8 people standing around. NONE of them were polite. NO ONE said hi. We were the first to speak and said We placed an order for pick up and they were either confused or worried. Still, no one was polite. We paid. We drove home. The calamari was frozen. We unwrapped our sandwiches... 1 was dry. The other was wrapped upside down, so it fell apart completely when we opened it. The garlic bread was a joke... imagine stale garlic bread that fell off the Wal-Mart truck and then was heated up in the microwave until it became a soggy slop. We were appalled. Yes, we got a refund. But, we will never be back. We agree that it was in the top 5 worst meals in our lives.
This quaint restaurant has a clear following. It was busy but not crowded--seemed like everyone was at home eating there. Service was aloof, we waited for about 7-10 mins once seated before anyone acknowledged us...but once they engaged they were very friendly. Food was good. Not remarkable but good. My wife loved that her dish had lots of vegetables. If you are looking for a quiet place with a Mom and Pop feel, this is your restaurant.
Bad food! Don’t go!Chicken in the Chicken Parmigiana sandwich was Thin strips, seemingly burnt, definitely tough.Explains why they were no customers. I was the only one. I should have left. Friendly guy who greeted me was cheery but didn’t know prices. He sat at the bar with another worker, both with their backs to me while I ate. Server was a nice lady. Salad was lettuce, cheese and tomato wedge. They didn’t have Italian dressing LOL so I had house dressing. I ate just under half of my sandwich, didn’t ask for a discount or anything and left as quickly as I could to go eat some real food. Sad. I wanted to support a local while I was in the area and the reviews were good...🙄
Great find, we will have to go back!!!!Heard about this from a neighbor and it did not disappoint at all!!! Plenty of seating and the staff was all very polite. One of the owners (wife) actually stopped by the table to see how we were doing - very friendly!Food was delicious and it didn’t take a long time either - we are again, very happy to find a new place to try out (we WILL absolutely go back there again)…..The prices were very reasonable and they even had several Cabernets for us to choose from to have with our meal.Again, VERY happy our neighbor put us onto this place….I hope whoever tries this after us enjoys it as much as we did!
We usually love this restaurant. The service and the food is always good, but not today! We had a server whose name was Lauren and either she was in a bad mood or she just wasn’t feeling her job today. She left out some crucial parts of our order and therefore we were not able to enjoy it as we usually do.
Amazing Italian food. I try something new every time we go and each dish is fresh, cooked to perfection. Theres no Ragu here--there sauces are tasty and rich. Service was attentive and helpful. You gotta try their tiramisu!! OMG its the best Ive had and thats saying something!I dont know if they did it for the holidays, but in our last visit they had a vocalist sing some Rat Pack tunes. Dude could really sing! So it added to the ambiance. Try their Chicken Sorrentino. Youll thank me later!
I went here for the first time a few weeks ago during lunch. The restaurant was not busy at all, only one other table of customers and my party of two. The young lady waiting tables took a long time to notice that we were there and then even longer to come take our order. The food took 30 minuets to come out and it was cold. Our food did not taste good at all, even the tea tasted bad. The waitress had disappeared to the kitchen again, so finally after another 15 minuets she emerge from the back and we informed her that we were unsatisfied with the food and couldn’t even eat it. She was nice and did not charge us for the meal, we were charged for our tea though. I won’t be returning to this restaurant ever again. I don’t understand why this place has so many good reviews when the service is bad and the food is horrible.
Had the shrimp Alfredo it was to soupy for my taste it would have been much better if it wasn’t watered down the bread was excellent I forgot to ask if they could give me some olive oil that would have made the bread el supremo . I will try revisiting again to try other things such as pizza , Lasagna , or maybe Spaghetti just hope they don’t make the sauce soupy like my Shrimp Alfredo was served .
If you have the chance PLEASE try this place out. Great prices and AWESOME service!! The owner and is the sweetest woman ever! This will be the new go to for my date nights with my boyfriend. Every single time I go in there I’m always feeling welcomed. The owners have done an amazing job of keeping the place open and running during covid. NO WONDER??!!?!?!?! The food ROCKS. Thank you so much again to the owners and to anyone reading this give this place a shot😀
Ive never sat at a Italian family table but if this is the food being served I need too. Omg... the food was fantastic! They make sure you dont leave hungry with the servings. The salmon special and garlic bread will have you slapping the nearest momma. The Italian cream cake is to die for. Fresh food made with good olive oil. Very pleased. I will be back!
My mom and I came to try this place out while we were in the area. Absolutely loved the inside, the owners did a good job designing the place. I have never finished a full plate of lasagna and I did today lol. Absolutely enjoyed how the food here tasted and felt like it was cooked with love. I would come back again!
Good food, bad service. The food is really tasty but not for the price! We ordered the lobster ravioli and it only comes with 3 ravioli for 15$. They do not tell you how small the portions are and only gave us a half order of the stuffed mushrooms. We called to ask about the ravioli (we should have asked when we ordered so that is on us) and the mushrooms but when we called the lady who answered hung up on us!! We will not be going back.
My daughter absolutely LOVES this restaurant. Every time we walk into the place, they greet us with a happy wave and smile (we come here a lot.) My family gets the calamari, and let me tell you. It is so good, I’m not even overreacting! It is delicious!! We have no complaints whatsoever. This is a family friendly restaurant, cozy feel to it. Love it!
Ordered the Chicken Parmigiana to go.. it was TERRIBLE!Way overpriced for such low quality food. The chicken was overcooked and dry as can be. Also, I asked for extra cheese and received less than what should have been on there to begin with. Honestly, I have had better chicken parm at DENNYS. Dont waste your $17 on this elementary school cafeteria food.
I would definitely recommend this place the garlic bread is incredible. Ive tried a few different dishes and each one has been great, they have a nice wine list, if you havent been here you should definitely go. Has the family atmosphere to it while also being romantic.
The mussels in lemon garlic butter sauce appetizer authentic Italian as was the Eggplant Parmigiana. The eggplant was gently floured and then sautéed, not the typical overbreading and deep frying that ruins the eggplant which should be the star. Service was 10 out of 10. Lunch pricing extremely affordable, especially considering the quality.
WOW!!! Really, really authentic Italian cuisine. I havent had such good Italian food since I left NYC 50 years ago. The veal parmigiana was other worldly. Its not easy to cook a thin veal cutlet and have it turn out so just right, tender, juicy and tasty. There is absolutely NO REASON to go to Olive Garden ever again! Fantastic home cooking at its best. Atmosphere, personnel, cleanliness, etc. all great, but we go for the FOOD!
Service was prompt and courteous, but the shrimp was overcooked and very fishy tasting, the mussels were not cleaned out (purged) and one was unopened on the mussel appetizer plate, meaning it was likely dead and/or rotten when it was cooked and frozen. One of the mussels I bit into in the Damianos special had chunky grit inside it. The sauce tasted ok and my husband thought the combo plate was tasty enough, but we will likely not be back.
This restraunt is a oddity, the owners work there and you can tell they take pride in what they do and are extremely friendly. The service is nothing to scoff at(we ended up getting the new hire that was being trained on us), but the reason i am only giving it 3 stars due to how bland the food I ordered was. I had a lasagna with italian sausage and my girlfriend ordered chicken alfredo that had a great cream sauce, alright chicken to accompany it but not a big enough portion. The specials werent mentioned when we ordered, nor were their any reccomendations I could find before coming here.
For those that never have had authentic Italian food this place may be sufficient. After having two popular dishes, ziti and chicken Parmesan, I would give it a “meh”. The meal left me unsatisfied and uninterested in going back for more over priced menu items. If you’ve spent anytime in cities like Boston, NY, the west coast or even the Midwest and have dined at authentic Italian restaurants you’ll quickly discover all of ingredients used here are low grade and they have a long way to go to claim they are traditional Italian. The ricotta cheese was runny and the mozzarella slices melted on top of both the chicken Parmesan and Ziti seemed like they were bought from Sysco. The pasta seemed like it was grocery store brand and the sauce tasted like it had too much sugar in it. Romano or Parmesan cheese wasn’t included as an option to sprinkle on the pasta. The only good thing with the meal was free - the bread roles. I’d go back for those. If the pizza crust and calzones use the same dough recipe this place could be worth another stop.
Stay away from this place! I just ordered delivery of 3 pasta dishes. Have an egg allergy and we are vegan. I called the restaurant prior to ordering to confirm there was no egg in their pastas. The worker I spoke with said with confidence there was not. When the order showed up, I noticed they included bread as a side. I called them back to ask if there was egg in the bread. The worker said let me ask. Then the worker said, there is no egg in our bread but there might be egg in the pastas you ordered.Might? What?! When I shared with her just an hour earlier they confirmed the opposite of what she was now telling me, she said let me ask my manager. She then said she asked the manager and they said there is no way to know if there is egg in our pastas, because we order it from someone else. Hmmmm I thought their pastas were homemade? Absurd answer on all fronts. When I shared that was unacceptable answer, the manger came on the phone and emphatically said there is egg in their pasta. I told her one of my family members could have ended up in the hospital tonight based on their unawareness, lack of training, whatever you want to call it, regarding knowing food allergens in their own food. She was unapologetic and said we cant expect our staff to know food allergens in our food when people call. Told her Im calling the health department and I will. Way better options all over the area than this place.
I have come back 3 times this is our favorite Italian place in all of texas and that is saying a lot.The food is great, the atmosphere is awesome ! Frank Sinatra music all day long, family owned. The pricing and selection is great.I have yet to have something i didn’t like !
Fantastic restaurant! Weve been looking for a favorite go-to Italian restaurant and Damianos fit the bill on every level. Great ambiance, exceptional staff, clean, quick service and the food is other-worldly. Their marinara is house-made and you can taste it. It is simply the BEST marinara Ive ever had. We fed a family of five on a Friday night for $75; that was an entree each for myself and my husband, a pizza for the boys, the fresh baked bread appetizer, two beers, a shared dessert and an $11 tip. We all left happy with full bellies and lunch for the next day. Definitely recommend. Would give 10 stars if I could.
Server did not know the menu well enough to guide for dietary needs and did not seek help from staff or management. Food delivered was not as discussed. What should have been broccoli and carrots, came with onions, mushrooms and some kind of sauce. Shrimp scampi came mixed with capellini, a hand full of capers and enough lemon in the sauce to make you pucker. Very disappointing!!!
Me and my family of 7 Waited for 45 min just to get our drinks out. Staff had no clue what they where doing. Waited to take our order and waited another hour for our food. And let me tell you this when they brought our food out there was one dish that was brought to the table. Then the manager came to our table and ask if we ordered anything else and we told them yes the waiter even repeated our order back. So 6 of my family members didn’t even get food. What kind of restaurant handles they’re customers like that. Worse experience ever and I will never recommend this place.
Fantastic food and service! The people here knew us after only our second visit, and now treat us like old friends each time we come here. Highly recommend the mussels or stuffed mushrooms for appetizers, and the pizzas and lobster ravioli are indescribably delicious! Little by little we are trying different items but have yet to try anything we did not like. Very family-oriented atmosphere.
Im giving them three stars. I would have liked to have given them more, but I never got to eat their food. Four of us went on 3/12. I went in to check on the wait, And I stood there for almost 15 minutes and not one employee said a word to me. I even walked up to where I was about 5 ft from the counter and the register. Employees walked around me, employees looked at me, but nobody said a word. Nobody asked me what I wanted. If I was there to pick up food. If I wanted to get a seat. Nothing nobody said a word to me standing in the middle of the restaurant 5 ft from their cash register for almost 15 minutes. It would have been our first time to eat there. when I went outside to tell the family what I just experienced, all of them said that if thats how it was before we even sat down, they didnt want to take a chance. I guess well never know if their food is good or not.
Food was cold in 10 min , all metal containers, lasagna was probably the worst Ive ever had , tasted frozen ones better . Fetacinni was bland and no seasonings at all . Calamari was cold and definitely frozen at one point . The bread was the best part . Im not a picky person by all means , spent $90 and was embarrassed .
Everything we ordered was fantastic! Best calamari weve ever had! The shrimp scampi was absolutely amazing! The pizza was delicious! And the tiramisu was decadent! We will definitely be back, and were bringing friends. My only regret is that I wish wed come here sooner!
Having just moved to Texas from New England we quickly got used to seeing only Mexican restaurants or steak houses around here, which can get Very old. We dined in tonight. The chicken picatta was AMAZING and cooked the correct Italian way. (not like Olive Garden). The girls ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and it looked hearty. They both enjoyed it and ate it all! They also serve homemade dinner swirled bread w olive oil and parm on top. So good! The manager and perhaps wife(?), were very accommodating and kind especially to my children which means a lot. Definitely worth dining in or take out!
Went for dinner at about 7:00, and was seated quickly. The place is pretty nice casual. I wouldnt wear shorts, but some wear shorts to church here. Frist, the staff is FABULOUS. Pamela was our server, and she was great, Then, there was a very sweet Italian mother type who patted you and thanked you over again for coming. VERY friendly family types. The food was pretty good, especially for the price. Four of us ate, one glass of wine, 2 desserts, for about $100, with tip. Altogether, we will definitely go back.
If you have ever been into a real Italian kitchen, wether it was visiting Italian friends or going to Italy, that’s what you’re going to find over here. A flooding Italian flavor all around, and I don’t mean “Italian” chain restaurant flavor, I mean real deal Italian.Their pizza crust is absolutely wonderful, I had one slice for my kid, and after giving it a bite, I felt like I wanted a whole pizza for myself. My wife had the Damiano’s Special, which is a pasta dish with seafood all over and there’s plenty of seafood meat on that plate. Deep intense fresh sea flavor.I had the combo plate, manicotti, shell and lasagna with the meat sauce. Simply beautiful. It was like seating back again at my best friend house while his nonna was serving us pasta with meat sauce. To my opinion, this place should be packed left and right all day long. Probably being a family owned and local is what is not giving them the advertising that they should have.Hope to see it as crowed as it should be on my next visit.Sorry for not posting photos, was too hungry to do that. hahahahaha
Always enjoyable!!! We just love this Italian restaurant. It has a small town feel to it with great customer service. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. We have never been disappointed! Great wine selection and 4 beers on tap. Different sports on each of the TVs in the background but its not the focus of the restaurant.Weve been going for years and plan to continue the tradition.
Delicious! The stuffed mushroom appetizer is outstanding. Pizza is perfection. Lasagna, lovely. The cheese tortellini with Alfredo sauce was terrific. Their fresh made bread tastes delicious and the texture is amazing. We have been several times and have always enjoyed what we had. We will be back!
2-13-3021 - My wife and I were going to Mandolas for dinner, but we thought we would try Damianos, this was our first time there. Nice looking place inside. They sat us at a table, we would have preferred a booth, but we were told they were reserved, though only 2 other couples were seated at the booths after we were sat at our table. On a 1 to 10 scale, i would give the food a 6.5 or 7. The ceasar salad had an odd flavor to it, like it had too much mayo, but ceasar doesnt have mayo. What we had a problem with was the service level. There were 3 waitresses. A blonde girl with a pleasant disposition named Laura or Lauren was back and forth taking great care of her tables the whole time we were there, but she wasnt our waitress. One other brunette girl with glasses took our order and we interacted with her a couple of times, then she never attended to us again. Another brunette girl brought us our food and gave us refills once, then we didnt interact with her until she brought us our ticket. From the girl with glasses, I felt like she wanted to be somewhere else, which is actually what happened, i saw her at a tablet doing something for quite some time. The other brunette had a quiet/shy anti-social vibe to her, kinda like let me take care of what you need so i can go be somewhere else not near customers. They had 3 TVs going, all of them showing the Time/Life Sonny and Cher 30 minute sales ad. Yuck. Would i go back there, probably not, we will probably stick to Mandolas.
The food was great the service was amazing. Wife ordered a combo plate to see what she would like for future trips. I went with a Stromboli because thats how I judge an Italian restaurant. This place did not disappoint at all. Everything taste homemade and was fresh. So happy to find a place like this near us. Conversation with waitresses was amazing. They asked us what we liked and pointed us to great choices. We will be back bringing friends!!!
Very nice family Italian restaurant. I enjoyed the Combo Plate (Manicotti/Stuffed Shell/Lasagna). I particularly enjoyed the stuffed shell. I think I will try the Stuffed Shells entre next time. It looked like they were doing a lively take out business so I hope they will be able to make it through these trying times.
Family owned, family values, great food, and of course the staff is super friendly and is always there when you need them. The food is served cook to perfection and served quickly. I definitely felt like family when I ate here. Its a very nice and convenient place to eat, with decently priced dishes. I will definitely be back when I am in town!
If I could give zero, I would. After a long day of driving to Round Rock from almost 4 hours away, we wanted to enjoy a meal. Our service dogs (2), accompanied us as they usually do.We were not greeted, at least not in a welcoming sort of way; though, we didnt think much of it.We were sat down at a booth directly to the right, against the farthest wall, near the back. Soon, we were approached by a lady (who turned out to be the manager), who was clearly uncomfortable and did not get very close. The mannerisms she used whilst conversing with us were very telling. She let us know that although the building was not marked with any signs saying so, dogs were not allowed in the building, but she could make an exception this time so long as we provided paperwork showing the dogs registration and that they are well-behaved.We let her know they were service dogs (she acknowledged this earlier having seen their vests, which are also not required per ADA guidelines), and that paperwork was not legally required for them. In fact, I let her know that she wasnt actually ALLOWED to ask any questions. There are only two questions that may be asked only if it is not OBVIOUS as to why the dogs are present. She didnt have much to say after that, except what we wanted to drink (which was asked in a rather monotone voice). We didnt feel the want to give them our money, we so left after thanking our waitress for her service. It was an unfortunate experience as we felt singled-out in front of the restaurant and its patrons. Not to mention, the staff just isnt well-versed in the federal laws, and it shows.**all this information can be found on ada.gov for anyone who is curious**
If you havent tried Damianos yet, I highly recommend you do. I just ate there for the second time and this is becoming my new favorite Italian restaurant. The first time, my wife and I had the Veal Parmesan and Eggplant Parmesan, and both were fantastic. Tonight I wanted to see how they covered one of the basics, so I had the Lasagna and it was was also very good. My son had the Ninas Special... unique and tasty. For dessert, my wife and I shared the Italian Cream Cake. It was the best we have ever had, even better than the one we had at our wedding. They said it comes from an Italian bakery in New Jersey. Tonight we had the Tiramisu, made in house, and it was on par with the Italian Cream Cake.Friendly & welcoming, family-owned restaurant. They seemed genuinely thankful that we were there. Good portions. Great food. Glad to have a restaurant like this in our area.
I had really high hopes for this location but the experience fell a little flat for me. The ravioli itself was okay but the marinara was SO sweet. The salad was fine. The service was either too much or not at all. All in all, it wasnt a bad experience but it wasnt great either. Maybe we caught them on an off night.
My chicken parmigiana was burned and inedible. They burned the chicken and it was dry. They covered it with sauce and cheese and burned the cheese. It was disgusting. Then trying to call them, they dont answer the phone. I tried calling over 15 times getting only a recording and no way to leave a message or talk to anyone. Very disappointing birthday dinner. Will not go there or recommend ever again. I understand things happen but there was no way to contact anyone to fix it. Very poor customer service and food
The food is really good and the service quick. However they are located next to a smoke shop and when you walk in youre hit with the stench of cigar smoke. The smell is being sucked through their air conditioning system right into the restaurant. That ruins the whole dining experience.
Got pasta and pizza here for pickup. Besides the hostess and employees that are awkward and no social skills the food was poor on every level. I expect a fridge full of premade stuff from days ago and cost cutting ingredients. It’s super hard to find good Italian food in Texas. So maybe native Texans think this is the standard. Trust me You’re missing out.
Sadly me and my fiancé got food poisoning from there. We have gotten it many times and it was great. This last time we went there, the food took forever, it was not cooked as well as usual, smaller portion then usual, more cost then usual - and calamari are now frozen? That’s disappointing for hole made.
Here I thought I was supporting a local family business, only to get the guilt trip when I asked them to deliver the food curbside during a PANDEMIC!! I used to really like this place, but now I will be bringing my business elsewhere.Details: the owner came out with my food, asked me why I didnt come inside. I replied, pandemic, social distancing, to which he told me I have to come inside. Super cold. No thank you!
I wanted to give a 4.5 rather than a 5, but thats not an option, so I chose 5. My reasoning being, most of the time this place is great. However, out of the 15+ times weve been, a couple of visits have been duds. But most of the time its fantastic. I highly recommend the stuffed mushroom appetizer, so good! The $20 pinot grigio is good too, if youre looking for a reasonably priced bottle of wine. Overall, good neighborhood Italian place.
I ordered from Damiano’s through DoorDash for the first time this evening. The spaghetti with meat sauce was piping hot & fresh and both the small garlic bread loaf and garlic “knots” were warm and tasty. The mozzarella sticks were a little hardened but I’d chalk that up to the drive from the restaurant to the house. I definitely plan to visit the restaurant in the future.
I really wanted to see a very good Italian restaurant in the Cedar Park area. Unfortunately this place does not meet that criteria. The place is very clean and the staff is very nice. The ambiance is one of a simple homey place. Unfortunately the food is lacking. Lacking in taste. The cook does seem to use fresh ingredients and the food is cooked properly. However, the cook doesnt seem to know what spices are. The spaghetti sauce, the marinara sauce is simply crushed stewed tomatoes. Always lacking in salt ( a personal thing I admit) but no oregano, garlic, thyme, fennel or any other spices. Ive eaten there several times beginning when the place first opened. The food has always been that way. I really want this place to succeed, the owners/staff deserve it, but unfortunately, after giving them more than a few chances, I can say I wont be back.
As soon as you walk in you’re greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke. The food was below average. The garlic bread is just a toasted hoagie with some seasons, butter and giant cloves of garlic. The baked ziti I got was okay. It probably would’ve been equivalent to going to HEB, getting pasta, sauce and cheese and throwing it together. Would’ve been more enjoyable and cheaper! The other people I was with ordered a pizza and Don’s special. The pizza was $14 and admittedly pretty large for a small. Clearly, though, they don’t go for the best ingredients. The Don’s special pasta was AMAZING! The noodles-great! The sauce, even better! On top of the delicious noodles was the hardest piece of chicken anyone has ever encountered. It was very thin, breaded COLD and impossible to cut. Overall, not a good experience. I would not recommend anyone go here.
I write this only having been there once. The food was very fresh and great tasting. It really tasted authentic and the prices were very reasonable.I have some suggestions though atmospherically. The music needs to stick with the Italian theme probably. Sports on the TV wasnt that appealing. The lighting should be softer and lower in intensity. The very bright Coke Cooler at the bar really should be in the back, kind of an eyesore. Highly suggest if you love Italian food. This could be a really more romantic style restaurant if some slight changes were made. With the closing of Bellinis Texas Grill, this place is a great alternative.
Food was pretty food. We ordered lasagna, eggplant parmesan, and veal parmesan. The lasagna was amazing. I liked the veal more than the eggplant, only because it is my preference. My daughter gobbled it up quickly. We also had garlic cheese bread. There is ample seating, with good service. This restaurant is located in North Parmer just before you get to 1431 in Cedar Park. The only draw back was the bathroom lighting system. It is motion engaged. Someone went in and it didnt quite last as long as they were in there, so the lights went out. Easy fix.
It is mind blowing how this place has 4.6 customer rating!! Either you have no taste buds or the restaurant staff has made up these reviews. This place is a far cry from authentic Italian cuisine. I ordered veal parmigiana and calamari, and the kitchen staff managed to butcher both dishes. Calamari was over cooked and rubbery and my veal dish was swimming in marinara sauce. If you want to experience truly authentic and wonderful Italian cooking, try Juliet Italian Kitchen instead and you wont be disappointed!!
I am the owner of 4th Demention construction and a local guide. This place is absolutely amazing please try the stuffed mushrooms its absolutely wonderful also theyre special is a great seafood platter you have to try it also I ordered the calamari and it was fresh and light absolutely amazing I will be returning to this restaurant as often as possible please dont forget their wonderful craft beers especially their imported I also ordered the manicotti and spinach with alfredo that was my absolute best dish and favorite so far
This is a marvelous family owned restaurant! Tonight my husband had the lobster stuffed ravioli with a creamy mushroom sauce and I had the spinach and ricotta stuffed shells and both were fabulous. The bread they make is out of this world - best bread we have had at any Italian restaurant in Texas.
Im honestly upset with myself for not knowing about this place sooner. The food was great, the staff was friendly, and the place had a well-kept vibe. Our food really hit the spot. In particular the chicken marsala had a nice grilled flavor, in addition to the wonderfully aromatic sauce. The cheese sticks were warm and stretchy but not lava-hot. The tiramisu was smooth, sweet, and well balanced with its coffee flavor. This is my new go-to for Italian food in the area.Pictures below: Tiramisu, mozzarella sticks, chicken marsala, and garlic bread.
Delicious quality authentic Italian food in a nice atmosphere with quick, friendly service and reasonable prices. In this family owned restaurant you will find exquisite food made to order, served by the most friendly owners and staff, the portions are bigger than most places, and the price is super affordable, you could gladly pay the triple for such flavor and quality.
Great service and delicious food. We had the Shrimp and Crab Alfredo and Eggplant Parmigiana. Alfredo was creamy and shrimp perfectly cooked. The eggplant was baked in a dish with marinara sauce and topped with baked cheese. A bowl of spaghetti is served with it. The bread they serve is delicious and served with marinara sauce. House merlot is ok, especially for 5.00. This will be our new go to Italian restaurant. The staff really is gracious and helpful.
Ordered the Veal Parm through door dash. Gave me food poisoning is the best way I can describe it. What started as feeling like a hot ball of lead in my stomach in less than an hour after I ate it, turned into one of the worst nights. I will never eat here again and advise other patrons to avoid if you don’t want to get sick. I’m curious what the health inspectors might find if they stopped by there tmrw....
The food was very good. Clearly everything we had was made from scratch. We got the baked ziti and dons special. Really tasty. The rolls they brought out were very good too. Its nice to have a good Italian restaurant here in Cedar Park. Will be going again to try other things on the menu.
Six of us went tonight & we were all pleased. Restaurant is cozy, wait staff is awesome. We all had something different & were pleased. I had the linguini with red clam sauce. Generous portion with lots of clams & tasty sauce..Love to support family owned businesses. Will definitely be going back
First time coming here was December 20th. Came in and got food to go. Person who took our order was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. We got the Stuffed Mushrooms, Calamari, Mannacotti, Cheese tortellini. I loved the sauce on the mushrooms and the bread that came with it. Will be going again.
This is a locally owned Mom and Pop Style Italian restaurant. Unfortunately the major takeaway from this restaurant was there homemade marinara it was great. With that said, the rest of the food was a little lackluster and missed the traditional flavors you would expect in a quality Italian meal.
Food was great. My wife had the tortellini past with pink sauce and I had the veggie Stromboli. Both items were delicious. The stromboli was big. I highly recommend the pink sauce. Josh was served our table very nicely and everything was perfect. This is our new goto Italian place.
The food was terrible. The server was very nice. When we told the server that one of our dishes was not edible. It was dry and the pasta wasn’t cooked enough. He took our complaint to the manager, who was standing one table away from us. The manager looked at us and shook his head. The server brought the check with all of the entrees still on it. We asked if anyone was going to do something about the food we weren’t able to eat, he said, “ no, I’m sorry”. I confronted the manager on the way out. He acted like he didn’t speak English, them tried to blame the confusion on the server. Weird and incredibly annoying.
Very nice atmosphere. greeted by a very friendly young man. took our order and the food was there in under 20 minutes ! and it was DELIOUS !!! my wife and i split an entree( it was our 1st time at Damianos ) and that was a good thing because the entree was HUGE ! the menu is reasonably priced and several food selections to choose from.......
The food and service are good, but the stale tobacco smell smacks you in the face and persists throughout the meal.I thought we had mistakenly walked into a bar at first. I read that the stench came from a tobacco store next door, but I didnt see one there, so maybe this problem will abate over time.
Sat at table 10 minutes never saw waiter.5 minutes for drinks, left before we could ask for appetizers.10 minutes appetizers finally come. I attempted to ask a question about the lasagna for the 5th time, waitress leaves again. Party of 4 and 2 babies, 25 minutes at restaurant, have been ready to order since ordering drinks. Finally asked manager about lasagna, he said I can choose all 3 toppings. Menu does not say this is extra.Ordered 9 topping pizza with no olives or mushrooms but wanted half jalapenos.Charged $8 extra on top of 18.99 for pizza.Comes out with all toppings, wet, sloppy, undercooked, no flavor disgusting pizza worse than any frozen pizza.Lasagna comes out disgustingChicken pasta ordered no mushrooms or olives comes out with both.Zero refills in first 30 minutes, had to get waiter for them finally.Worst restaurant experience ever. Will not est here again if it was free.
I tried to ignore the negative reviews. Went to treat my son and I was craving lasagna. Not a good choice. I make lasagna so was hoping for one close to mine. Not so much. The Alfredo sauce for tortellini was kinda like elmers glue and a let down for my son. Best part of the meal was the tiramisu.
If youve ever complained that Italian food is too flavorful and delicious, this is the place for you. Everything is extremely bland, and tastes like it was prepared in some factory then frozen to be reheated at the restaurant. If you want actual flavor and freshness I recommend Cedro.
Best Italian food Ive tasted in +25 years!Growing up, my Italian friends dad, Enrico, would regularly cook the most exquisite delicacies as his form of gift and tradition to his daughters.Today, I relived all those fond memories with this extremely authentic Italian cuisine which is clearly operated by someone with a touch of old Italian tradition.I wish this family unbound success, for which I will do my part by visiting them as often as I can.
We tried the Garlic Bread, Baked Ziti and Chicken Carciofi all of which was good. We especially liked the Carciofi which had a very good and creamy pink sauce. We will definitely try other menu items as everything I saw brought out while waiting on the take-out order looked good... This appears to be a good addition to this area Cedar Park!
When here a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it its a nice family atmosphere the family who owns it was all working there the service was great it was so quiet it was so refreshing its what restaurants used to be. We were really happy with the quality of food we had garlic bread I had the chicken parmesan the kids had pasta my wife had the manicotti and it was all good hope they can stay busy enough definitely a change from the franchise and chain stores that were used to going to his restaurants we were actually able to talk and visit as a family we had a table of 4 and I saw one party there and we had a party of 16 they were able to accommodate us all give it a try
I ordered the damiano special my wife ordered lobster ravioli and we ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. The damiano special which should have shrimp crab meat baby clams mussels with cream sauce over linguini. What a got was a few picees of shrimp, artichoke hearts ,bell peppers, onions and a fish or chicken like substance on the bottom. The sauce was completely tasteless. The lobster ravioli had cheese ravioli in a vodka sauce with no Lobster. As per the waitress the sauce contain crab meat and there was no Lobster in it at all.The the only decent part of the meal was the stuffed mushrooms. The red sauce that they brought with the bread also tasted like it came straight out of the can.
First time going to this restaurant. Ordered a pizza for take out around 9pm. Got it home and it was tasteless. Lots of cheese and no flavor. My family ate one slice and the rest of the pizza is just sitting here on the table. Wont be going back. I love Italian and I am so disappointed.

2022-01-28I had the Damiano’s special. It’s very tasty and the rosy creamy sauce is perfect. Right amount of pasta, not overwhelming. The pizza, tiramisu and Italian cream cake are amazing as well. I had a great gastronomic experience at this restaurant.

2022-02-18I have visited this restaurant 2 times, my family and I love Italian food, and it is our preferred type of food. The first time we went the food was amazing, and given that experience, great service and a delicious meal that was affordable, we decided to try it a second time. The second time we had some issues with service and commutation, the food was not as good as the first time. When I communicated with the restaurant manager, my concerns were appropriately addressed and I was given the opportunity to openly express our concerns and I felt that she handled the matter respectfully and professionally.Riña provided the common courtesy to listen and understand what went wrong with our second visit and responded empathetically while also providing an apology. I think that her genuine approach and ability to listen will allow us to put this behind and give this locally and family owned establishment a third chance in the future. Thank you.

2021-10-19I had high hopes of this place and was very disappointed. I ordered the $10/11 calamari appetizer- no flavor definitely NOT fresh made, it was just frozen calamari rings. I had the lobster ravioli with mushrooms. I was expecting a bigger portion than just 3 raviolis and a bunch of sauce, plus they were just barely warm. My fiance got the Alfredo with shrimp and chicken, his was better than mine but Alfredo sauce was definitely lacking flavor. Shrimp was over cooked. Overall just disappointed. Staff was nice so Ill leave 2 stars for that. :(

2022-08-19This is the worst lasagna I have ever had. It is dry and flavorless. Even adding salt and cheese didnt make it edible. The photo shows the only little bit of sauce it has. It also shows the chunks of carrot. Why?

2022-05-20Damiano’s Italian Restaurant was underwhelming. The service was very slow and the quality wasn’t that good. I drive by Damiano’s all the time and finally stopped in. I got the calzone and it had too much ricotta. Good thing I wasn’t in a hurry at lunch.

2022-03-31We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here, as well as eat there when were in the area. From starting emails about 6 months ago for the rehearsal dinner with the manager to the minute the dinner was over was exceptional service. We had about 22 people there, was there probably an hr after they closed, and never felt rushed by any staff. Everyone had a great time, and the food was delicious, like normal! Thank yall for making it a stress free night before our big day!

2021-09-04This time it was disappointing. Lasagna w meat sauce was a single layer with some dried up pasta.Eggplant parmigiana was two thin slices of eggplant ? on a bed of regular pasta.Garlic bread and dessert were fine.Almost $50 after t&t
