Okay, the SMOKED PORK. have you ever tried it without the BBQ sauce? You dont know what you are missing if you havent! The pork in this particular branch is incredible, so moist. Everything is FRESH. I love that they play worship music. It is a calm and friendly environment. Landry and Pedro are the best! Excellent customer service
Nice little Dickeys location. New items surprised to see, that are good, such as the cucumber salad. I went with my faves, pulled pork with baked potato casserole and green beans. Very good and good sized portions.All employees were nice. Landry in particular was extremely friendly, welcoming and engaging. Helped me feel appreciated as a guest.All of the staff were generous and accommodating and seems to get along with each other as a team.
By far the best experience I and my family have had in years. Food was absolutely on point according to my 9 year old daughter. The reception and warming customer service was over the top and I am my family highly recommend this place and branch to any and everyone.

Food is not as good as it once was. What happened to management here? There once was a really nice man who always had a smile on his face. Our kids enjoyed him passing out free ice cream. No other Dickeys use to compare to this location. Soon as we would walk in we felt the positive energy. We dont feel that good vibe like we use to. If he is still with Dickeys can someone tell us what location?

Definitely will not be returning. Kitchen need to have some deep cleaning done .The presentation of the food was not appetizing. I usually walk back out but I was not filling to well I had to get some food in me. Food had some flavor but was cold by the time I sat down to eat. My bun was so hard . Very disappointed.
Best tasting brisket I have ever had. My family and I were craving BBQ after church so we went to Dickeys. I have had my fair share of BBQ and Dickeys. By far this location has the best tasting beef brisket I have ever had. Great employees everyone was so nice and very happy, you really could feel the good vibe. We will definitely be back. We also loved that they had Christian music playing.
We have been coming to this Dickeys Barbecue for years now! Incredible service, and great food!! Our last particular visit Cavin was so friendly and really made our experience dining here so much better. We will be Dickeys Barbecue fans for life!!!
We were driving home from a mini excursion and decided to stop by this Dickey’s location. Ordering was fast. The woman at the window was incredibly kind, fun, and just a real down to earth person. My wife ordered the brisket sandwich, and said it’s “exactly what I was craving! It’s moist, flavorful and easy to eat. Basically, everything you could ever want in a bbq sandwich.” We are leaving with the conclusion that every Dickey’s should have a drive through like this location. Top notch!
Great food. Very clean location. The 2 servers were super nice. I asked for okra and He made up an order just for me. I had turkey and lean sliced brisket dinner. I will definitely return and recommend it to everyone.

I liked that even though it was close to close the meat was still hot and fresh along with sides unlike other places that are half closed up they actually stay open with ALL options untill close unless of course they run out due to demand
These folks are real nice. The big kid forgot his name young guy but real big he is a 5 star kind of guy. I wish there were more folks in the world like this kid his parents raised him right. This location never disappoints when I am looking for something quick, fresh and tasty. My son is a picky eater and he enjoyed his meal thoroughly. The chicken was tender and the sides were very fresh. Ive also tried the peach cobbler which was surprisingly good and the best Ive had outside of homemade cobbler. The drive thru is quick and Im always greeted with a smile and great service. I love this Dickeys location!
1 Chopped Beef Sandwich, 1 small backed potatoe casserole, 1 large unsweetened ice tea. (Large because they were out of Medium)$14.32!!!!!! Omg, I just wish it tasted like $14.32. Tasted more like 3.99$. Never again.
I thought Rudys had the best BBQ, but this particular location of Dickeys in Allen TX beats it hands down! The sliced brisket is perfect! Its like in between moist and lean. Always friendly staff, fantastic BBQ and the price is even right!
Sometimes its nice just to be able to walk in and get your food immediately. The baked potato was fresh and warm, the brisket was very good, the only issue I can think of, was my girlfriend mac and cheese was very cold, like refrigerated cold, which is strange because everything else was nice and warm; nonetheless, the manager was more than kind and he warmed some up for and continued to check on us. Overall, we were treated well and I would recommend this location based on quality of food and the kindness of the staff/management.

This place was great! The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Portion sizes were adequate and, though it is a bit pricey, its well worth it for what you get. Also, they have free soft serve ice cream and kids eat free every day. Great for large groups or just for 3 like ours. Ill be back as soon as I can!!!
The food was really good and the atmosphere is always pleasant. My family likes to meet up with members of our church after services. Theres always plenty of room even though its usually busy. The only thing I saw that I dont like is that when I ordered, the meat was cut on the same cutting board as the order before me which was chicken. Im allergic to chicken so that could have been a problem. It didnt seem to affect me thankfully, but it made me think that it could be a problem for some.
We live Dickie’s and have eaten in for years with no issue. Since Covid we have used the Drive Thru and have issues every time we drive thru. Missing items, wrong items, cold food etc. each time we speak to Lanny, Allen the managers, contacted corporate and they offer free food and tell us they have new management but nothing changes. This has been ongoing for more than 4 months. This last Sat we went through and asked for order to be repeated and Still missing order of wings, Caesar salad brown etc. this location fails to train and have any desire to actually improve. I have used the location for catering and at least 4 meals a month and am now searching for another option. Be sure to check your order before you leave.

My wife absutley loves dickeys Barbecue. Except the one in allen , TX every time we eat there they give us problems. Most of the time we do use a yellow cup coupon get a pulled pork sandwich free. We always buy something with it. The employees are always rude & makes snide comments and puts the food together sloppy greasy. If you dont want people using them,dont give them out
We used to like to go to Dickey’s in Allen. Unfortunately the owner/management has obviously changed and both the service and food quality have suffered. Tonight was our last “benefit of the doubt” attempt. Took 8-10 minutes to get service and we were the only ones in line. The person serving the meat was on the phone. Maybe with a call in order but he wasn’t writing anything down. It was about 6:15 and they were out of pork. They were out of rolls as well. The green beans were cold and the amount of chicken I got was like a child’s portion. The brisket was good but cut a bit on the thick side. The hot links, potato salad and beans were good as well. The okra was not hot and soggy. They used to fry the okra to order but now it sits in a warming tray like the rest of the vegetables. On to find another mid-priced bbq go to joint.
Absolutely the best Barbecue I’ve ever had, me and my wife aren’t even huge fans of Barbecues but thanks to this place we’re constantly craving it, the meat is so tender cooked perfectly, seasoned to perfection, the side dishes are even perfect, I’ve never in my life had food at a restaurant made that well, The GM is one of thee most outstanding guys I’ve ever met very friendly and you can tell he has a passion and love for his job and the people who works for him and the customers, and it didn’t stop with him all the staff I interacted with there I could tell how amazing they were and that they cared, I went to another dickeys and it was over seasoned the okra should of been advertised as salt instead from there but this dickeys in Allen I mean wow I can’t really find the words to describe it even though I tried in this review but it’s a little slice of heaven here on hearth.. Thank you guys keep up the good work, Texas Barbecues are a State Treasure and you guys do this state a honorable service! Yeehaw! You guys have a blessed work year!Edit: the best way to sum it up, is they captured a Texas barbecue with the family in your backyard and got that experience and put it in their restaurant.
This is our family’s favorite restaurant. The kids eat free promotion is what brought us in and now we are hooked on the quality of the food. We like the pulled pork and chopped beef. It’s always tender and cooked just right. This is a great stop when you need the speed of fast food with the quality of a full fledged restaurant.
Food was great. Place was very clean. I liked that you could get your own side dishes instead of waiting for them to get them for you. I just wouldnt recommend the pie, I got the coconut and it didnt taste at all like it should have!
Honestly, this is one of the best Dickeys locations I have ever been to. I love this location so much, that I try to only go to this location. The ribs are some of the juiciest and most tender I have had in any of the locations. The staff is very friendly and respectful. Kids (12 and under) eat free with the purchase of an adult purchse of $10 on Sundays. The decor is very nice as well. This is the type of restaurant where you can come in your Sundays best after church, or on a regular weekday just for lunch. Complementarity ice cream when you eat in the restaurant! Who doesnt like free ice cream? 😉

Asked for 7 extra lean beef sandwiches. The line guy said their may be some fat and I said no. I had to tell him 3 times. We started to walk out.They have gotten smaller buns and let meat fir the price. I was disappointed in how much meat was provided when we got our sandwiches home.It tasted good but Dickeys has gotten cheap. Less meat higher price and I dont expect back talk from the worker. Just give me what I am paying for.

Nothing too exciting I wanted a loaded baked potato and they delivered. I ate thete and it was wonderful to eat in peace and quite. My potato was Hugh and delish!
No impressed. Low flavor brisket, non flavorful creamed spinach. Asked for sliced brisket in the picture on the menu, but it felt more like pulled pork: soggy and without smoked, charred flavored. It left me highly unimpressed... The only thing that was the saving grace was that kids eat free.
Got a pulled pork sandwich and side. It was delicious! Meat tender and seasoned just right. All their food was fresh.
So Google says they close at 9:00pm and I walk in the door at 8:30pm. I walk up to the counter to make a order and a lady comes out and says theyre closed. I said but the door is open, she said it should have been closed already but yes we are closed. Theres too many places to buy BBQ and Ive been coming to Dickys all my life. Im headed to Rudys Im done with Dickys.
Great food, and employees very nice. This Allen location has free kid meal with purchase of adult meal everyday so feeding a large group is very affordable. They have a large seating area with booths and tables with chairs of varied sizes.
You get what you pay for. Granted I went on a Tuesday night about 6pm but the meats were dry. I got brisket, turkey, and polish sausage.Didnt really have any kind of Smokey BBQ taste, and the apple crisp was dry and old. First time experience was not good at all so I wont be going here again.
This is by far the best Dickeys around. The BBQ is always high quality. Yes it is a franchise chain and youre probably not going to get the unique experience that you would at a side of the road BBQ joint in the Texas Hill Country. But if youre itching for some pretty good BBQ and have realistic expectations then this place will definitely satisfy your craving.
We have gone to Dickeys in Allen on numerous occasions and have always been pleased with service and portions. This time was absolutely ridiculous! I ordered the two meat plate and received maybe 3 teaspoons of pork and four small slices of fatty beef. My son ordered the wagonneer and there was barely enough meat to cover the bread. So disappointed! I guess we will be looking for another BBQ place in Allen.
Ordered through door dash. We got the wrong meats and one of the wrong meats was grossly undercooked. We called to tell them this and the person we talked to did not care in the least bit. Terrible service and apparently terrible cooks. There’s other options with better quality everywhere. Just lost my business.

I love the food at Dickeys. Its smokey and flavorful without being too spicy or too sweet. The onion tangles are the best onion rings/strings that I have ever gotten from a restaurant with a drive-thru.
The Dickeys here in Allen is set off of U.S. 75 by about half a block. They have a drive thru window as well as a decent sized seating area. They offer a variety of meats and vegetables. Its a nice place to eat good food, especially if youre in a hurry. They also have complimentary vanilla ice cream cones. They do catering and lots of people use them because of their quality and service.

I usually patronize this location for lunch with several tennis friends after playing tennis at Celebration Park. Dickeys has a very good baked potato with a side of brisket. They also offer free soft serve ice cream for dessert. Good eating.
I went there and ordered a brisket sandwich, meat was super dry and seemed old, I havent been asked for toppings like cheese or whatever. Poor experience on my side, wouldnt recommend to go there if you want to enjoy pure Texan BBQ.

Owning a daycare, I try and find food that children love. Dickeys has a cooking option, where I can bring them meats, and they smoke them for me! How awesome!!!! The kids have Dickeys Day, every Friday now. I thank CJ and the staff for making it affordable my my daycare children to eat good food.

2022-06-02Good BBQ, mac and cheese not great not cheesy, mashed potatoes was ok and the peach cobbler wasnt very good. Try different sides but the brisket was good

2022-03-21Like this location. Dickeys probably has some of the best turkey around. The brisket was moist and tasty. The jalapeño beans were too spicy for some reason. I typically like them but today there was something odd about them . Bread was soft and good. I like their rolls, much better than plain white bread.

2021-01-185 stars to service and value for money. Jalapeño cheddar sausage was pretty decent. Ribs was ok. Brisket was meh. Please try to work on getting the brisket to taste better.

2022-06-22One guy suggested a sandwich drink and 1 side combo for a certain price. My mom decided on that. The guy at the register charged her ala-carte for everything. I had a loaded potato with brisket. I had to pay ala-carte for my 1 side and a drink. We both had a small drink thinking it would save a little money. You know inflation. Later to be told any size didnt matter they were all the same price. I got 2 little butter packets, 1 ketchup type squeeze packet of sour cream, small cup of cheese and bacon bits, and to be honest I think if I ordered a sandwich I would have received more meat. By the time I opened everything and mixed it up you couldnt even tell anything was there. I ended up only eating maybe 1/8 of it there. I brought it home and added my own to my standards. The thing Im complaining about is I had to serve up my own sides, but the didnt have to potato bar options available to serve yourself. Oh and being told my mom didnt order right thats why she was overcharged. We did get our money back and were able to get a larger cup at no additional cost. A/C was cold which was fine because it was a hot Texas day so we enjoyed sitting in there and relaxing. We did have all the pickles, onions, and additional 3 choices of BBQ sauce by the drink station we could eat. Restaurant was slow but there were others. I think next time well go to Spring Creek BBQ.

2022-05-23We used drive thru at the Allen, Texas restaurant tonight. When we arrived home the ribs were so dry that you could not eat them without the extra bbq sauce. Additionally, neither one of us received the proper sides. I had ordered Mac and Cheese and Okra. I was given 2 Mac and Cheese. My friend ordered Potato Salad and Cole Slaw. She was given Mac and Cheese and Cole Slaw.

2021-04-10My family ate here for the first time today and the smell was amazing as soon as you walk in. Children eat free here everyday!Big, delicious portions, creamy mac, the potato mash is seasoned perfectly.Waffle fries made to order.The smoked wings... (no words can describe).Very friendly and patient staff.

2022-02-13For BBQ it is ok. I had the room meat plate.Now I know it is smokedBut the brisket taste like pot roast.The ribs were pretty good. I think, if they could change the brisket a little it would be better.

2022-02-20Great food and amazing service! We were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in and checked on multiple times! And offered ice cream! Who doesnt love free dessert!? I would definitely come back to this location!
