They have a good variety of needs and wants . Theyre very convenient and not as crowded as some of the other stores . You can find their stores very easily they are everywhere..
Someone needs to instruct the person responsible for the mask mandate to watch her camera and see that it is not being enforced for the safety of the customer I will not be going back here because of that
Very pricey for the amount of food you get. Souffle was cold, looked like it had been sitting awhile. Ordered a cup of soup, it was luke warm and bread was too hard to eat. Very disappointed.
This location is always great and Mrs. Willie shes a very kind lady. I look forward to seeing her each time.
Poor customer service, you have to look for check out or help most times.I have tried to call for hours the line was continuously ringing and it eventually, sounds a busy signal then cuts off and hangs up, a few times it was disconnected by the 3rd or 4th ring, meaning someone intentionally hung it up, I tried to call many, many times and was unable to get an answer all afternoon, I tried to call from 1:04 pm until 3:00pm.Would not recommend this store.:
They have some clothes marked(1/2) Off Outside the doors yet after the few things We bought for a Total of $37.00The Male Cashier told Us that the Shirt I ( was) gonna buy had a $10.00 tag on it and It ( Wasnt ) Marked Down !!! What??¿¿¿¿!!!😤😩💜😪😣😭😭😭

Good sales but hard to find items at times and even harder to find employee help. Usually only 1 worker at the register and long lines if busy. Very cluttered aisles.
Easy access to highway, staff is friendly, grab & go essentials. The stored is really full of stuff so a little crowded feeling.
Like to pick up a few things often, alway find myself moving the merchandise cart, each time im there to get to whatever you need, they need stocker!!
The store is an organized mess. There is more product at this store than the other Dollar Generals that are around.
Unlike the Grandview location, the products were on the shelves not in boxes on the floor or on carts. The isles were clear where you could walk down them and not over boxes or around carts. I am disabled and use a cane and I fear falling down because if the clutter.The cash registers are easily accessible and checkout is quick and efficient. Grandview store you cannot get to but one register, the other is nowhere near the door and isnt accessible with a cart ( when they arent ALL outside). I wonder if a field manager of any sort ever sets foot in the Grandview location and if they do ....why are they not reprimanded for letting this store be as poor as it is. I will continue to travel the 16 mile round trip to the Alvarado location when I use Dollar General . Thank You

I 💓 DG stores but this one is NOT my favorite. It doesnt seem as clean & is ALWAYS packed w their stocking carts everywhere making it very inconvenient.
Found all I went to buy. Only issue, as usual, merchandise to be put up sitting in aisles. Hard to get to where you want to go. Then, blocked by cases of merchandise. Nine times out of ten this is the issue.
Love this store in the people that work there. The Isles were stacked and it was hard to get through today, but other than that it was a good experience.
Nice employees and they have done a good job trying to keep this place up to par compared to a year ago.
As with most Dollar General stores its a mess. I usually find what I need but its a experience trying to climb over all the junk sitting in the white all over these stores

2022-03-26I come to store and was doing my grocery/ ask if bathroom was open / a lady rachel manager told me is broke / they had a card full of bottles of water in front of the door so customers will not go in / she was standing there looking at me / I ask. Another employee after 1 hour waiting and doing grocery shopping/ she said sorry bathroom broke, I ask when is it going to be fixed/ she said is been like that for supposedly weeks/ / I went to pay and cashier ask me how are you doing / after spending 3 hrs there doing grocery shopping, not so well ,I wanted to use the bathroom/ and they keep saying is broke,she said Im sorry, the manager comes and said it out loud is not a city code to have a bathroom working / so is not our priority/ I see how the manager of this business did not care and I said I will make sure everyone know before they come/ because what if you have a customer that has Health problems and need s to use the bathroom/ but I can see she doesnt care.

2018-07-06This store didnt even rate one star the first time I went.No friendly greeting lots of product strewn about to trip over never orderly and dirty.Now, it has improved a lot and seems to get better every time I go there. They still have some work to do but I will probably go here if I dont feel up for the drive to the 917 or Venus store.I hope for it to be my go to Dollar general since I live 3 minutes away. :)

2018-06-02This is always a great place to go. Theyre prices are very readable and the staff is always helpful and very polite. You can get everything from toilet paper to hygiene products and even tools and vehicle accessories. You really cant go wrong when going to a dollar genera. The one here in Alvarado is always a good shopping experience.When I couldnt find a particular product I was looking for, they even called the Dollar General in Cleburne Texas to see if they had what I was looking for. The staff here went above and beyond to assist me with my purchase.I would recommend this Dollar General to anyone looking to make purchases on simple everyday items at reasonable prices. Also, with the helpful staff, that alone is reason enough to drop by this store and check it out.

2020-01-20Love coming here for the 1 liter Dr Pepper. My husband and I have found them a lot cheaper here ($1.08) then the convince stores($2.39ish). We save about $20 bucks a week.

2019-08-29Clean and organized . Friendly staff. If They would get the 1$ Dill Pickle Chips, Big Blue Sodas and keep the italian ice in stock year round they would be getting my money instead of the competitor down the street. Keep things off the clearance shelves if its not on sale. Just about everything I picked up wasnt priced as clearance at all and when it was priced for clearance it wasnt a good price.

2018-10-06They too much stuff in aisles very difficult to get around. Need desperate organizations skills applied here like 2 years ago because it has not changed. The family dollar is do much better to shop at.

2018-08-23You have to find an employee willing to check the customers out. They are more concerned wirh talking amongst themselves or in the aisles stocking then helping customers. The debit .machine tries to trick you into getting cash back so they can charge you an extra $1 for it. Store a mess and not very organized.

2016-08-17Great for quick shopping trips and usually cheaper than the one grocery store in town, plus I like the digital coupons as they save me money almost every time I am there. Just a little cluttered in some aisles.
