5/3/2002 Update: Chris was outstanding and provided some great detailed information for me to consider regarding re-routing the a/c condensation drain. Much appreciated!Excellent and dependable. Luke went the extra mile to solve my emergency problem and then look into other plumbing issues that he could take care of while he was at my house, all after 5:00pm (I was his last stop of the day). Will definitely use again.
I wanted my water heater up to specs no issues with the system.I wasnt present but my tenant was and Brian originally quoted $511 but can do it for $430 using PFC.It took 24 minutes to complete the job. I was notify immediately of the completion by my tenant.I was upset and spoke to dispatch about the amount and shortly Sean Wagner told me he wasnt going to work with me and informed me the police with come today as well. WOW the unprofessionalism and rudeness I have not seen before!
I recieved a message prior to when they were to come out. Which was very helpful and not having to wait so much. Brandon came on time and I discussed my issues. He did a routine check and found a few other issues I wasnt even aware of and suggested what I should do with everything. I was so worried about having to clean up a huge mess when he left but surprisingly it was super neat and clean even when he was done. Id definitely recommend Economy Plumbing Services again.
Very professional company. Brandon our technical helped troubleshoot and provide options for pipes in rental that was affected by the deep freeze. We opted for new pipes instead of trying to chase potential leaks in the future. The office admins are very nice and courteous. Overall excellent communication; text notifications prior to the appt date and text and phone call prior to arrival the day of. Very satisfied with the responsiveness and professionalism.
Mathew was a really great guy. He showed me my options and took the time to explain services I could do and how much it would all cost when done. He didnt loose patience with me and finished his job in a fast manner. I only wish he could have fixed my water meter but that apparently is my managers responsibility. I will definitely be calling these people in a year when I decide to replace a part in my water heater that he suggested I get replaced every 4-5 years of use in my water heater.
They under-promised on availability but over-delivered when they called 5 days early. That was awesome. Their estimates were very high... one was for more than $2000. I can re-decorate a whole bathroom for that much vs. just make repairs. They did do a good job at the end and repaired everything. But, the most mis-leading thing was in the title of the company -- economy. This is not an economy plumbing to do business with.
Needed help replacing a diverter tub spout that was not diverting water from tub to shower. Bought the replacement spout but could not remove the old one. I was able to call and make a same day appointment. The technician arrived on time, accessed the job, gave me a quote, and completed the job all within the hour. Would recommend!
I called Economy Plumbing after the hard freeze because we werent getting hot water in the washing machine, and to get a free 1-year inspection on a hot water heater. Scheduling was a headache; they had a backlog of customers naturally but they kept refusing to tell me even how many there were and when I might get an appointment. Then suddenly they were available that day. I forgot to ask what the diagnostic fee was. Stans charges $89 and they could give me an appointment, but it was 2 weeks out, so I said yes to Economy. Once Matthew was here he told me the diagnostic fee was $300. I asked what the hourly rate was, and he said $380. Full time, that would come to $760,000 per year. I said Id get someone else. He came down to $225 so I said OK. He found the problem--sediment in the pipe--in about 5 minutes. Then he drained and inspected the water heater, told me Id have hot water in the back addition where the unit is in about 6 hours, and left. I started a load of clothes in the washing machine and when the wash cycle ended, I heard a flood of water. Hed failed to re-attach the drain pipe. I mopped up the floor, then noticed the rinse cycle wasnt starting; hed failed to turn the cold water back on. The next morning we had no hot water in the back addition. I got a ladder and climbed into the attic to inspect it. No power to the unit. He had failed to turn the fuse back on after draining it. Terrible service! Never again! And I only wrote this review because they asked me FIVE times for a review. Never again.
Great service. I had a new washer/dryer tandem delivered and the water connections were corroded and could not be removed from the older set. This is a second home for my wife and I, and we were intending to return home after the new units were delivered so we needed immediate service. I called Economy Plumbing and a plumber arrived at my condo within 90 minutes (our condo is in Horseshoe Bay and the plumber was assigned from Austin). One hour after the plumber arrived everything was working perfectly. Our plumber was Brandon and he was very knowledgeable and courteous. I will certainly use this company again for plumbing repairs and would highly recommend them!
Our plumber is so professional and knowledgable. He understood that i was on a budget and didnt make me feel bad for not being able to complete the project. Much appreciated and i will definitely keep his quote and call back when I am ready for the bathroom redo. Thanks again for being so kind.
We had a faucet installed. It was 800$ for an installation only (we provided the faucet) and the water pressure was gone when he was finished. We mentioned this and the plumber shrugged and said he didn’t know. The prices felt too high, and the experience was not good. I will say we have used Economy Plumbing in the past and had a better experience.
A+, five stars, two thumbs up! Our experience began with a friendly, efficient, and highly competent person who answered our questions on the phone and set up our appointment. The plumber, Grant, arrived right on time and managed our long list of tasks with expertise and attention to detail. He followed the Center for Disease Control public safety guidelines (as did we) at all times. We are extremely satisfied and will definitely continue to use Economy Plumbing Services whenever the need arises.
Ive used Economy Plumbing Services in the past for preventive maintenance on my water heater. The technician, Talmage, provided exceptional customer service the couple of times he came out. It was obvious that he cares about customers and wants them to be completely satisfied. He also took the time to answer my questions thoroughly and to give me tips about future maintenance I could do on my own. I cant speak to the cost since I didnt get any other quotes; however, in general, ALL plumbing companies charge more than I would like to pay. :)
Matthew the technician, was very knowledgeable of my electric hot water heater system. After doing the diagnostic test and fixing the problem, he assured me that everything is now working properly, and gave me some tips on what I can do to make sure that it is always maintain. I will always recommend Economy Plumbing Services to all my friends who may have a plumbing problem.
A+++ Simply amazing service. Water heater installed next day, quality product and quality workmanship. Technician was very punctual, professional, and just top rated. Ive had the pleasure to work with this company more than a few times in a commercial setting and now in a residential setting, they continued to shine. HIGHLY recommended. Icing on the cake -- their services are 20% cheaper than the big name companies and the same exactly quality service and product warranty. Go with these guys, you wont regret it!
I had a garbage disposal installed among a few other services a little over a year ago.The technician suggested he replace angle valves on all my sinks and toilets as a precaution because the old ones can fail at any time. Sounds great. Come to find out they charged over $70 a piece for something that costs $5 at home depot and installation is as easy as screwing in a light bulb.I guess the tech was so worried about angle valves that he forgot to inspect the condition of the sink mount before installing the new garbage disposal. It had been leaking a little ever since and gradually getting worse. I just put a bucket down there and didnt think too much about it until today. Here are the pics:No they will not be back to my house.
Economy Plumbing saves the day again! This time our tankless was backed up with sediment from the snowpocalypse recently. Matthew came in, ran some diagnostics which rules out an issue with our pressure relieving valve, and then narrowed the issue down to likely sediment build up.These folks are really nice, have straightforward pricing at understandable tiers so you feel as though youre making an informed decision throughout. Keep it up!
We provided ladder, cut out ceiling sheet rock, for Mathew to see bathtub piping in second floor. I assisted by turning on the upstairs shower for Mathew to determin where leakage came from. Very quickly Mathew knew the source of issue and provided a quote of $ 472.89 for repair he stated that repair would take several hours. Thinking of a big repair, we agreed and Mathew left . He did send us a picture of a Nissan car with part as repair support. Sheetrock people at our home remodeling for a last day, were eager to close the ceiling. After 1 1/2 hours Mathew still had not returned and I was not able to telephone him either. After calling the company Mathew returned. I didnt see any plumbing parts, after asking he showed me a small rubber ring and some putty. The bath tub overflow had a lose screw and was repaired together with a bathtub drain rubber ring which did not take more than 5 Minutes. Parts at Lowes 25$. We paid $ 472.89 and consider it as highway robbery.
The employee showed up at my house on time and was very polite. He did an inspection of my home and then went to the problem area. He did multiple quotes with different degrees of service. It was great! To see the service options I could have done with the price was fantastic. The employee went above and beyond my expectations. He was even able to assist with an ongoing problem with finding my sprinkler system. Hi five on that one. I will definitely use again should I need plumbing service again. Five star recommendation.Your local Marble Falls resident.Thank you
Communications with Economy Plumbing are great. They are definitely a customer service oriented team, very amicable and professional and kept me posted every step of the way. Their technician was here early at the beginning of the time window and provided utmost service. He took care of my drain issue quickly and offered great advice in prevention of future clogging and in other areas of my house. I will definitely use them again.
Requested an appointment online which was very convenient and simple to do. Our plumber Luke arrived on time and repaired all my problems. He was very thorough, answered all my questions and cleaned up the work area when finished in a timely manner. The price was reasonable and I would definitely use Economy Plumbing in the future.
I had a great experience with Economy Plumbing Services. Luke stayed in contact with me when his previous job was running late and still made the visit in the late evening. He was able to fix our shower with friendly service and detailed breakdowns of the process. We will definitely use them again!
I highly recommend Economy Plumbing Services. Mike diagnosed the problem and gave us practical solutions that did not cost an arm and a leg. He took a real no non-sense approach and did not try to sell us on procedures that we didnt need.Communication was also good. I had no problems getting ahold of someone in the office to set up an appointment, and I always got a heads up text when the technician was on the way.
Grant was awesome and finished the job well. He repaired two outdoor garden spigots(which used to leak and spray water everywhere whenever I used them.) and fixed a slow filling toilet and faucet leak! He was very patient and explained everything to us. Economy Plumbing company has great communications and fair price. Will definitely use them again for future plumbing needs. Thanks!
***HIGHLY RECOMMEND***From beginning to end I was taken care of. I had called multiple (five) companies (going down Googles list - they really should put Economy at the top) and they each told me No, we dont service mobile homes. But not Economy. Shay (sp?) was immediately accommodating. Very sweet, very reassuring, and managed to squeeze me in somehow. SOMEHOW, I have no idea, but she moved mountains for me. Then there was the technician, Grant. He is legit an angel sent down from the plumbing heavens. Good news is, I can have you up and running in 20 min. It was an emergency, I was super frustrated, and they literally saved my day. 1000/10, will definitely use again.
I have no reservations recommending Economy Plumbing. I called at 10am on a Monday with a water leak in my garage and they said they can send someone between noon and 2pm the same day (other plumbing companies were telling me to wait 2 days with my garage being flooded). Luke showed up the same day, was absolutely amazing and was determined to do the best job to fix my water leak. The leak was under my house which was very stressful for me but Luke was very re-assuring and told me that it can be fixed. During the whole process of figuring out which line is leaking, disconnecting it and reconnecting it over-ground, Luke was a pleasure to work with: he was very respectful of my house and made to sure to completely clean up. He also went out of his way to make sure that I dont have any other lingering water problems in my house. Luke did not leave my house until he was sure that I was satisfied with all the work that he did. Brendan was very helpful as well, working with Luke to make sure the repairs are done as fast and smooth as possible. The work was very professional and the finished product met my needs exactly.Overall, a great experience and will definitely contact Economy Plumbing for any future plumbing needs.
Brandon was a great technician (so far only great technicians have ever been sent my way by Economy Plumbing)! He was so very nice and polite. He took time to show me what was wrong with my clogged drain as well as point out some future things we may want to consider taking care of.I like their VIP membership program that saves us money in the long run since we have to flush our tankless water heater every year. The only negative is that they generally dont have emergency service on nights and weekends, but for 95% of our plumbing needs, it ends up being ok. I wish they partnered with another company for emergency service.Other than that, they are a great company with superb communication. I refer them to everyone I know that asks for a plumbing recommendation.
Thursday afternoon I came home from work to find water leaking from a light fixture in our master bedroom ceiling. Our water heater is in the attic, directly above the leak. Over the phone, my husband walked me through getting to the water heater and shutting off the water supply line. Water was spraying from a copper line and When I called Economy Plumbing, the dispatcher was wonderfully understanding and helpful, and got us an 8-10am appointment window for Friday. I called the restoration company about the water damage and they agreed to show up at the same time. Economy texted back to let me know they could make it earlier—Thursday night. This was at about 5pm.Luke sent a text notification along with a photo, and was over here quickly. The restoration company was able to show up at about the same time. Within an hour, Luke had diagnosed the problem and ran through all the options for repairing components or replacing the water heater. We decided it would be most cost effective to replace it.Luke came out again first thing in the morning to install the new water heater.Less than 24 hours after I discovered the leak, we had hot water again. We couldn’t be happier with the service from Economy Plumbing. We will most definitely rely on them going forward.
I had an issue with low water pressure to my kitchen faucet. I called economy plumbing and they were very accommodating. Luke came out to my house the next day and got straight to work diagnosing the problem. He found the issue and was finished up in about an hour! Very straightforward experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.
My experience with Economy Plumbing and Brandon were superb. I will use them again. There were a few too many texts and emails from them, but I guess thats better than too few. Brandon took about 40 minutes to write an estimate, that seemed a bit excessive. However his work was great and he completed what I asked him to do; which is the bottom line.
Just had an excellent experience with Economy Plumbing. A drain line was clogged somewhere between kitchen and main sewer line. Called Economy Plumbing on Friday morning and was scheduled with an afternoon window for Friday afternoon. Luke arrived within the scheduled window and was very professional, courteous, and answered all questions. He provided a reasonable quote before beginning the task of clearing the clog. He took great care getting equipment in and out of the house. Luke was very thorough snaking the line. He made sure the clog was completely cleared by having us run washing machine and sink water simultaneously as a max condition test on the drain line before packing up his gear. I would highly recommend Economy Plumbing.
I called about a leaking tub pipe after the freeze. They charged me 500 for a diagnostic which involved cutting a hole in the drywall. Then said it would cost 900 for the fix. Another of the employees came out and said it would be 2200. We got a second opinion. The job was done for $700.
I had two experiences with Economy Plumbing and both times I was struck by their professionalism and expertise. One issue they fixed was a leak, and the other was a dishwasher install. Fast, professional, clean and knowledgeable. I had an excellent experience, and furthermore I found their prices to be quite reasonable. Keep up the good work guys.
This was our second experience with Economy Plumbing & once again we were very satisfied. They arrived on time and even though we had a late afternoon appointment, they were able to replace our hot water heater that same evening. Both times we’ve used them, they were prompt and efficient. I will definitely use them next time.
Brandon with Economy Plumbing was very polite and very capable-our plumbing problem was challenging to say the least, and Brandon fixed it beautifully. We have finally found a plumbing company and technician we can trust for their promptness and ability! Becca was so helpful settling our appointment. Thanks, Economy!
Update. Another great job!!! Mike came out again and replaced some shutoff valves faucet and disposal. I Highly recommend Mike with economy.Mike with Economy repaired a busted water main for us. He was courteous and communicated throughout the process. The price was very competitive. I would call economy again.
Absolutely disgusted with these thieves.Never use them.I did not ask for a price thinking they were honest. They did not need any parts. The sink was already installed. All we needed was to connect the faucets and insinkerator. Also They screwed in a garden faucet that cost & 7.60 at home depot and charged me over $ 170.00 for less than 5 minutes work for the garden faucet. The total was over $ 880.00. I am still waiting for a receipt with total breakdown. They dont even give you a receipt with details.NEVER USE THESE Economy Plumbing Services LLCGOOGLE SHOULD REMOVE THEM FROM THEIR LIST ASAP
I couldnt be more pleased with the referral to Michael Moody of Economy plumbing. Michael is expert, thorough, responsive, communicative, and very friendly. The plumbing installation following new kitchen hardware installation was completed July 20, 2019 with almost no notice, just in time for the new tenant.I highly recommend and Many thanks Michael!:) A
I am in the middle of updating/remodeling my kitchen and bathrooms. Mike does excellent work! This company is fast, friendly and efficient. Excellent communication regarding appointments and time of arrival. Your given options for different price levels for all budgets, each level is explained without any pressure. Work is guaranteed. Highly recommend.
Im giving this company 5 stars because their technition Brandon is awesome! Super sweet and knowledgeable. However, I do not recommend this company due to their high prices! Their prices DO NOT reflect the name of the company! $478 to switch out a pre purchased kitchen faucet??!! Took him an hour and a half. Thankfully Brandon gave us a couple discounts but still??
Have dealt with Economy Plumbing as a contractor and as a consumer. Very friendly and helpful. Im a carpenter, not a plumber, and they still treated me fairly. Discovered them when shopping for a tankless water heater, and couldnt beat the price anywhere. The service was just a bonus!
We were very impressed with the professionalism, competence and thoroughness of Michael Moody who came to review, quote and fix our problems ! We were also impressed with their reasonable quote ! We had never used this plumbing service before, but will certainly use them again. Thank you, Economy Plumbing !!
Economy Plumbing is who I always call and Ive never been disappointed with their work. Howard installed a new garbage disposal for me and did an excellent job. He was quick, saw that a longer pipe was needed and installed it. I definitely recommend using Economy Plumbing!
Economy Plumbing was great. They were very communicative about when they would arrive, calling and sending text with arrival times, which helped me manage my time. Once the technician, Howard, arrived, he patiently listened to my non-technical and conspiracy theories. Then he proceeded to diagnose the real problem. He said he hoped the water wouldn’t be off long. I never noticed it was. It was quick and painless like all plumbing repairs should be when left to professionals.
Mr. Talmadge from Economy Plumbing was on time and fixed the garbage disposal system right away. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We’ve called on them 3 times in the past and we’re always very happy with their service and price fees. Will call on them again.
Had H from economy plumbing install a new kitchen sink and fix a leak in the bathtub. He was extremely courteous and professional. The company was quick to send him back after I wanted him to check on the fix the next day, no charges. He made recommendations on things I could change but didn’t push for any “fixes”. Very satisfied overall with the work and with the company.
This is our second time using Economy Plumbing Services and again we are satisfied with the results. I called and booked an appointment on the same day which is a huge bonus! We worked with Talmage who’s genuine kindness is rare to find in the customer service business. He fixed a major leak in our garage quickly and effectively. He was extremely patient with me and took the time to explain the issue and the remedy to me fully so I understood what needed to be done and why. I hope the company rewards employees like Talmage for his impressive skill and service. We will continue to use Economy Plumbing Services if any other issues arise in our home. I will update my review in the future if necessary but I highly recommend this company, if you’re looking for honest, fast, and affordable service.
Wasn’t able to get anyone out to fix my issue through home warranty due to the holiday but called economy plumbing services and they helped walk me through what was going to happen and had someone out within the hour. Their pricing was upfront and had many options which was great! Would definitely recommend.
After years of service, these folks just don’t disappoint. Contacted Economy Plumbing Services to schedule a pipe repair after TX winter storm. Samera was very helpful & understanding of my situation and helped schedule the needed repair. Professional, Quick, and Reliable from beginning to end. Thank you.
Given the state of the world, and the state of our toilet, we were thrilled to get an appointment scheduled for the day after we called - I called at 3 pm on a Monday and our appointment got scheduled for 2 pm the next day. We received the tech tracker text as promised about half an hour before the tech would arrive. And Brandon pulled up right at 2 pm. A simple auger was called for. But our blockage must have been more robust than usual - its new construction so my guess is it was some construction litter. Brandon got a hard work out with the auger and 15 minutes later - voila. A full, quick, thorough flush. Thanks Brandon. Its a true relief! Well call Economy Plumbing for future needs, too.
Be careful of this company!!! They dont guarantee any work, they well prepared to ask you pay them endless add-on fee until you realize and stop to work with them but you already lose a lot money. And they must get full payment at the same second when they tell you the services is complete although the complete includes they tell you they could not find the problem. They can not even wait 1 day to get full payment otherwise they would threaten you they would file police report for theft of service against you !!! Thats my experience with them. I paid money to them without getting any results but some threatening. Worst company I ever seen !update:I see owner of Economy Plumbing replied that I refused to pay. He is lying ! The time order is this: first day morning that guy spent about half hour mainly by visual detect and told me water leakage was either in yard or in house and this service was complete(I dont give comments here if their service is joke or if they fooled me!) , then around same day noon I received their email of invoice, then same day afternoon they called me and I told them I would send check within 2 weeks. Then second day early morning they threatened that they must get money today otherwise they would file police report for theft of service. Then same day afternoon I talked with owner of Economy Plumbing and he continued threatening me , then on the phone I gave him credit card number and paid that money. Are they FOOLING customers? Is their service JOKE ? Since they send email for review , here is the review.
I sought plumbing assistance on a Wednesday after determining an issue with one of our toilets was beyond my scope. I contacted Economy 1st as their reviews were best in my city/area. The soonest Economy had available was the following Monday so I went ahead & made the appt. The receptionist was very kind & said they’d call if anything earlier opened up.Preferring the issue be tended to sooner, I tried another local company - with 2nd best reviews - & they said they were available the next day & would arrive between 8-12.The next morning (Thu), before I got a chance to cancel the Mon appt. with Economy as it was no longer needed, the same kind receptionist called saying they had a slot open up (as she promised she would) between 3-5 that day. I kindly declined as we were expecting the other company between 8-12. Long story short, the “other” company showed up 10 minutes *after* noon with no call prior. I turned them away at the door, disgruntled with the service & called Economy back immediately. They told me the 3-5 slot was still open & that Michael would be dispatched. He was 30 min EARLY & was able to get started sooner than planned. He was very thorough, transparent, & went above the call of duty. Our toilet is good as new! He even fixed the low water pressure in our bathroom sink just because. My company & I will certainly be using Economy Plumbing for any issues moving forward. Many thanks!
We used Economy Plumbing Services for fixing low water pressure at our house (sprinklers didnt function properly because of low pressure). Talmage went above and beyond to provide the best service possible. He fixed our problem the same day, he had to work after hours but he didnt leave until everything was fixed. Now everything works great, our lawn is getting back to normal!
Luke was on time, knowledgeable, friendly, thoughtful and straight forward. He replaced part of my toilet, fixed the unusual sink stopper, (also, a bathtub clot but it turned out to be an easy fix) and recommended other things that he sees needing updates. Im happy with the service and look forward to seeing him to fulfill the VIP service once a year.I booked my appointment online on Sunday night and the only spot available was on Wednesday morning, but thankfully they called on Monday to see if Im available right away around Monday noon. It was perfect. Im very thankful for the open spot.I thought about using ABC but I wanted to choose a company who treats their employees fair (not overwork them.) Since my issues can wait, I didnt want to rush any workers.
We had them out for our tub to shower conversion. Completely satisfied from appointment set up to project clean up. The whole team understands customer service and our service tech was nothing short of phenomenal. Talmage clearly knows his stuff and definitely set my expectations higher for all services, let alone plumbers. I hope we don’t need any other plumbing in near future but glad the part of figuring out who to call is settled.
John and Brandon were both very pleasant and knowledgeable. They were both prompt and courteous and helped me get my garbage disposal fixed. They have a great free inspection service and helped inform me about certain things that I needed to get fixed and didnt press or pressure me into doing anything that I didnt want/feel comfortable with (unlike most companies/services these days..). Would highly recommend them! Thanks!
The tech that came out to diagnose & estimate my pressure issue was absolutely terrific about going through all the options, being thorough & helpful in explaining things, & considering potential factors. When he said I may not even have a pressure reducing valve on the line, he did a smart thing & checked neighboring yards , noticing none of them had one, ruling that out as an issue
Luke was a pleasure to work with on my plumbing issues. I had a very poorly installed shower drain where the drain spout was glued directly to the drain line. Luke figured out a great solution, took a little time to figure out the best approach, and produced a great result. Luke also found and fixed minor problems while replacing shut-off valves for connections through the house. I highly recommend his service.
We had to have an old cast iron sewer line under our slab replaced. Mike came out several times before, during & after the tunnel crew dug the tunnel to make sure everything was done right. He took pictures before & after, & communicated well. He was in the tunnel all day & did a great job. We are relieved it is done & very happy with the service.
After working w/ Talmage from Economy Plumbing I wouldnt even consider hiring another plumber. My fiance and I just bought our first house and have been fumbling our way through some repairs and Talmage was by FAR the most trustworthy, hard-working, friendly contractor weve worked with. AND budget friendly! His apprentice (Peter? I cant believe I forgot his name 🤦) was fantastic, too.Seriously 👍👍👍
I was told there was no charge to go out unless they performed some work. Great, I thought. Then the tech arrived and said it would be $408.00 dollars to diagnose the problem. I had to ask him to repeat; I thought I heard wrong! $408.00 dollars to diagnose, then he would tell me the problem and the cost to repair, which was separate from the diagnose cost. If the cost to diagnose a bad thermostat on a regular water heater costs $408 dollars, what was the repair going to cost? I didnt bother to find out.
I’ve used this company several times and I love that they are super communicators. They always respond for service immediately and everyone I’ve dealt with has been beyond courteous, professional and competent and their fees/service charges are very competitive. They have repaired clogged drains and a mystery leak for me.
We actually went searching for Talmage after we discovered who it was that had come to our home 4 years ago. Walker plumbing, who we also love, had referred us to him. He is so knowledgeable and is very, very helpful. He is now with Economy Plumbing and they are so efficient. Its a very impressive operation. I have friends already wanting contact information just because I couldnt quit talking about Talmage. I always have a problem with plumbing prices. It always surprises me, so I did call back to the office to get a better handle on where the total charges came from. They are on a par with other plumbing services. We will certainly use them again. Hopefully well never need to call a plumber ever again!!! Riiiight!
Terrible service. Hired them to repair a sticky gas regulator valve. Once onsite, the technician said a diagnostic service fee would result in one of two actions - either an immediate repair of the gas regulator valve, or he would order a new valve and apply the pre-paid fee to the replacement service. After a few minutes he claimed to have fixed the problem, but shortly after he left it quit working again. I phoned to ask about next steps and was suddenly told they were “not allowed” to replace the gas regulator valve. They suggested I purchase a whole new appliance at which point they would give me a discount on the installation. The tech straight up assured me it was a simple fix though, and didn’t change his story until after my $200+ check was cashed. I called back several times and found the phone to suddenly be out of order. When I finally got through I was told management call me, but no one ever did. I’m feeling pretty scammed at this point. The valve still sticks, I’m out over $200, and the tech left behind some gnarly gouges in my hardwood floor. Save yourself a headache and hire someone else for your plumbing needs.
Plumber that came out was professional and friendly. I feel that costs were competitive based on the industry, but had buyers remorse after seeing how simple the problem was and knowing I could have fixed it for $10 instead of $300. Overall I would use them again though and I do recommend them.
Luke was incredible. We are remodeling our house and of all the contractors weve hired hes the best. He came early for a single quote/task and ended up spending all day as I added things to his list. He even stayed late. The gas company came out and found some issues so he was able to fix those while he was here as well. From installing shower drains, toilets, shower fixtures, vanity/faucet, gas lines, etc. he was able to do it all. His pricing came in cheaper than expected (based on another quote) which was also a big bonus.
Economy Plumbing (and our technician Luke) provided customer service that I am not accustomed to receiving in Kingsland. They answered the phone every time I called and provided a written quote by email within minutes of coming to my home. He was able to do the job that week and the company provided text message reminders and alerts to his arrival time.We had Luke install a tankless hot water heater with a propane conversion, a job that our original plumber told me that they didnt know how to do and wouldnt attempt. Luke did a fantastic job at a fair price. So glad to know about Economy Plumbing... just wish I had known about them from the start of my project.
We were very impressed with the work done! Talmadge was awesome - he explained step by step what he was doing, was careful with our property, and worked willingly and cheerfully in a tight space, and saved us a lot of money by rebuilding our water heater (which wasn’t a walk in the park). We can’t recommend this company highly enough!
I had my sewer repaired today by a licensed plumber named Talmadge who works for Economy Plumbing. He gave the lowest quote, explained the work ahead of time and did exactly what he said he was going to do. The pipe was actually broken in two places. He fixed everything and left the site looking better than it did when he arrived.
Best customer service I have received in a long time from a company. Took the time to explain to me my situation and options and provided me time to make a decision. The technician was not out to make a buck like the previous company that morning. Aaron, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the great customer service. Will definitely use this company again and will pass the word to use this company for all plumbing needs.
Talmadge replaced our hot water heater that had become so full of hard water minerals that we could barely finish a shower before the hot water ran out. (We are on a well in the Hill Country, not city water.) He arrived during the time range promised, removed the old unit, and installed a new Rheem model including the emergency leak pan and shutoff valve. He answered my questions about the electronic controller for the shutoff, cleaned up the installation debris, and hauled off the old unit. We could not be happier with the results and no worries of not enough hot water! I’ve used this company for several different problems and always received great service.
After my husband decided he wasnt as skilled at plumbing issues as he thought, I called Economy Plumbing for help. The gentleman that came quickly fixed the problem, patiently answered all of my questions, even some that werent related to the issue at hand. I would call again if any new plumbing issues occur.
This local company is a gem, highly recommended. Talmage was very professional, on time and completed the job with efficiency. Weve used Economy Plumbing several times & service has been great. Customer service is also excellent. Plus expect funny beige attire (lol), fast and clear scheduling and checkout using ipads.
Howards the best! He showed up at the scheduled time, quickly assessed the situation with my water heater, which was in dire need of repair in order to bring it up to code. He surmised that for what it would cost to make the updates to an almost twenty year old heater, he could replace it with a brand new one and threw in a nice discount. He left to get the parts, returned in about an hour, changed out the old water heater and installed the new one along with some fancy add-ons within another hour. I truly wish I had taken before and after photos, to show the radical renewed reality...just amazing...thanks, Howard...yall need to give him a big raise!!!
I had a great experience with economy plumbing. My issue was a broken sewer line that was filled with roots. I rented a sewer auger that got stuck in the pipe... I called Economy plumbing and Sean was out within 2 hours. He came out a 8 oclock at night and gave me a estimate on the job.. I hired him on the spot. The next day he dug up the broken pipe, freed the auger and fixed the broken sewer line. He also helped me clean up the auger; untangle it and loaded it on my truck. I thank Sean for his help in-resolving my issue.
The office told me there was no charge to get a bid for possible work needed under house. The plumber arrived and said Id have to pay $200.00. When I protested, he said the office didnt know because theyre not plumbers. He did a small job (capped a gas line) which took about 15 mins. and then refused to apply the $200 to the work, and added an additional $130.00. I called the office to let them know what transpired and to request that they rectify this situation. Was told the accountant would call me back. Never got a call back. Bad way to do business. Go elsewhere! Other companies are more honest and do not charge for bids or tell you upfront that they do, and it is nowhere near $200.00.
If you are looking for Fast, Professional, and Curious service, youve found the right place to do business with!! Larry came out to my home yesterday, and from start to finish, I could not have asked, or expected, anything more!! Not only did he call before he arrived to let me know about how long before he would be, but he explained everything with me from start to finish on the job also!! AWESOME!! And while, for some, it might have been a(n) easy-repair, things tend to get very complex in a huge hurry!! Not only did he fix what others in the past had done, but I had leak-free, running water restored to my home!! QUALITY craftsman and craftsmanship!! If you have plumbing issues, call here, and seek out Larry!! Ill definitely be dealing with him, and this company, for all my needs thats for sure!!
Courteous. Prompt. Efficient. We have a home weve flipped, in Austin, were trying to get on the market quickly. It was all set to go, then noticed hot water wasnt getting to the bathrooms.I called Economy Plumbing (theyre the third and now final plumbers well use for this and our future projects.)Howard, diagnosed the issue (it wasnt as severe as we were thinking it might be) and quickly resolved it.Could not be happier with our experience, from beginning to end, with Economy Plumbing Services.
When our hot water heater burst out and flooded half of our house, Economy is the first one came over saved my day and of course my house. Talmage is the plumber who assianed to work here. He is working hard gave us good advices and very professional. We appreciate their hard work. Now we enjoyed our hot water every day. Thanks Economy plumbing services.
Brandon did an excellent job to help me understand my system. He was very knowledgeable, curteous, and willing to share his experience with my issue so i could make an informed decision as to how to proceed. I highly recommend EPS and Brandon specifically for assessing home wastewater issues!
We hired them to install a new cartridge in our shower. We paid over 200$ just for replacing the cartridge (just labor, I already bought the cartridge). When I turned on the shower the whole pluming partly came out of the wall, the plate was loose and there was no caulking. I called and they send someone else who tightened the shower plumbing back to the stud and who screwed the plate to the wall and caulked everything. They also inspected and flushed two water heaters and replaced one rod. All together it was close to 1K. what a rip off.
I cannot recommend Economy Plumbing—I found their plumbers to be neither knowledgable nor solution-oriented nor customer-friendly. Here’s what happened:I hired Economy Plumbing to eliminate a sewer odor emanating from my bathroom—I wasn’t exactly sure what was causing the foul smell, but clearly it came from the toilet/shower area. Two plumbers showed up on the day of the appointment—one “lead” plumber, and I presume the second was an apprentice. After looking around, they told me the only way to diagnose the problem was by conducting a smoke test through my pipes, which would cost me close to $1,000!I challenged them: why should I test the entire house, and incur an unnecessary $1,000 expense, when clearly the smell was coming from one particular area of the bathroom?. Why not just examine the toilet & the shower specifically? The plumber doubled-down on the whole-house smoke test, not offering any other suggestions or potential solutions. He was even unwilling to remove the shower faucet, as I’d asked him to do, to look & see if a pipe had accidentally broken when a recent plumber drilled into my shower tile to replace the faucet—he just sniffed the faucet & said that wasn’t where the smell was coming from. While the plumbers were peeking in the attic, I conducted a google search for ‘foul sewer smell in bathroom’. I learned that what needed to be done was to have the toilet re-set .... so I instructed the plumber to re-set my toilet. He reluctantly did so ... and low and behold, that solved the problem!I was further displeased when I got the invoice by email. It was bad enough that they added an unexplained $64 “miscellaneous charge” to my bill. But to add insult to injury, there were two different price points on the bill—the regular customer price that I was charged, and a VIP price, which was lower. A not-very-subtle way of telling me that I was NOT one of their preferred customers, I got that loud & clear! Here’s a tip Economy Plumbing: insulting your customers makes for very poor marketing!I will never know if the plumber thought he could get away with overcharging me for the $1,000 diagnostic test because I am a woman living alone & therefore easy prey, or whether he really did nor know how fix the plumbing problem. Either way, it’s unacceptable.
Michael Moody visited my home twice to help me with a gas leak to my stove, all after the carbon monoxide alarm went off and the fire department came. Michael was incredibly knowledgeable, took the time to explain what was wrong, and shared other general plumbing advice that was very helpful for a first-time homeowner. Thank you, Michael!
Michael came to us in our time of need after dusk, when our landscapers had accidentally run over (& broken) our main water line connection—on a Friday night. We were panicked that we would be without water over the weekend but Michael kept at it, digging down deep to replace the crushed pvc pipes to get everything back working properly. He’s our new hero!
Here is my story, I called them to come and detect a leak during the working hour. Their plumber stopped by for 30 mins and told me that the leak maybe on the yard or under the slab. They charged me $190 for basically telling me nothing. And they asked for another $500 or more for further detection. I dont know if they are incompetent or lack of professional at all. They even didnt tell me there were some soft spots on my yard, which another plumbing company immediately noticed when they came to take a free estimation. Please stay away from this company. This company is very dishonest and will rip-off you at any chance.
Luke was punctual, very professional and friendly. Luke got the job done efficiently and thoroughly and explained the issues and solutions clearly. It was a great experience for a stressful situation (serious clogging of A/C drain pipe leading to back flow and leaks). Thank you.
Luke Tousain , Master Plumber for Economy Plumbing, tackled a difficult problem at my moms Duplex and was able to finish the job within a timely manner and stay within the estimate. They also were kind enough to repair a few other plumbing related problems before they left..I would highly recommend Luke and Economy Plumbing. I am so glad we found this company on Angies List. The person who came to my home was on time, friendly, very knowledgeable and went straight to work. He even took the time to explain to me what happened and how to stop it from happening again. The price was so reasonable that I will definitely use them again. Thanks, I appreciate the help
Sean came out asap (fitting me into his full scheduled day) to check out a backup in my bathtub and toilet which originated from my washing machine. Sean assessed the situation quickly, took care of the washing machine and contacted a restoration company who came out directly to begin the cleanup process. Everyone was calm and efficient which made the situation that much easier to deal with. Sean came up with a coupon to help defray his charge; the cleanup should be covered by my insurance.
We had a water leak in the foundation. It was a challenging job to locate the leak, to figure out where to apply the fix and reroute the hot water pipe to by pass the leak in the concrete. Sean was able to fix the problem where a couple of other companies failed to do. Each time Sean and his helper came, they made great efforts to clean after themselves. Extremely professional! Highly recommended!
Nothing wrong with the service but just know that if all you need is a garbage disposal reset/clean up the fee is $189(took literally 10 secs, by using an Allen wrench and pocking the disposal from the bottom, thats it) , which they wont let you know on the phone until the technician is on site already. They told me technician will call me 30 mins prior to arrival, did not receive the call at all. Technician took forever to generate an invoice, which I didnt think too much about it then but now everything seems shady because I never received a copy of the invoice either. NOT economical whatsoever. If that is the true cost standard set by the company, this business has failed the name it stands for. Im going to fix my own problem going forward.
This company is very unprofessional and rude. I made an appointment, plumber came over gave me an estimate from his head then next day sent me a written estimate 2 times more than what he quoted. Estimate was poorly written, they lumped a lot of items together and gave grand total of $ 8,499. As if that wasnt enough I have been waiting for 3 days now to get a call back to discuss estimate and see if the job will get done. The sad part of this, they were highly recommended on Angies List which I paid $9.99Disappointed
I walked into my garage on a Sunday morning, to see my car covered in splashed water. My garage attic water heater joint was leaking badly.I phoned Economy at mid day, and received a call back from Sean. He was busy but was able to come by around 5 pm, assess and fix the leak. In addition to fixing the leak, Sean let me know what needed to be brought up to code, and said to keep in mind that one of my water heaters was 22 years old. I asked for a replacement estimate. The charge was more than reasonable for the work. Sean called professionals to come dry the sheet rock, who arrived before Sean left. Everything was so well organized, explained, and addressed. Dependable, polite, thorough, and fair priced.
Contacted EPS to replace an existing hot water heater and to bring to the current codes. Talmage provided a quote when he came to do the estimate. Placed the call a few days later to schedule the replacement and EPS was able to come out same day to do the install. Talmage did a thorough job with the installation.
Talmage is the best. Honest, dependable, fast and hard working. He went well out of his way to help me and my family. He didnt take our money and leave, but instead stayed late and did the job right the first time and with that he earned our trust and business for life. He is a man of God and walks the talk. Thanks for everything Talmage and God bless you and your family.

2022-07-16Economy Plumbing Services staff and professional plumber did an awesome job setting up and being on time with my appointment. The plumber who arrived at my house was Michael and he was awesome. He took the time to listen to what had been tried so far by ourselves and another company before accessing what the best route to take might be.The plumbing in this old house appears to be strangely laid out which caused some head scratching and problem solving. He also explained all of the options and why, which was very helpful because the other company had suggested a different route. It helped me also feel confident in my decision to move forward with his suggestion. I felt he was very professional, courteous, and honest. And best of all, It worked when nothing else had. I have found my go to company for any plumbing issues. Thanks again, Jeannie Deaton and Don Rapp.

2022-05-19The company stayed in touch with me as me tech was running late. When Brandon arrived, he had had a long day yet was such a professional, staying positive and patient. He worked diligently through setbacks with a tool that wouldnt start, stayed late to finish the work, and cleaned up his entire work area when he was done. I really appreciated his diligence and care, and would highly recommend him to anyone. The team continued to deliver as they finished the job. Sean was amazing, going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were back up and running as quickly as possible, and giving us a fantastic finished product. Super professional, diligent, honest and personable. If I could leave them 6 stars out of 5, I would.

2022-04-25Economy Plumbing came out exactly when they said they would. Brandon did an excellent job providing a thorough detailed plumbing repair estimate which was submitted to the insurer. The estimate was at np charge. I would recommend Economy Plumbing again.

2022-03-02Chris was amazing. First, he tried to repair our Luxart faucets in the master bath, but they were beyond salvaging. Then, he counseled me on why I should NOT install Glacier Bay (as my husband had already purchased replacement faucets). He was absolutely right—the faucets we had were basically all plastic and wouldn’t match the level of the other finishes in the bathroom. My husband and I had no idea what we were purchasing, because we were focused only on the price. I am very thankful for Chris’ guidance, and I love the new Moen faucets he picked out; truly, it was uncanny how he knew exactly what I would like. So, not only was he professional and honest, he was also very artistic and creative. I had such a good experience, I signed up for their preferred customer program!

2022-04-08We had water leaking from the upstairs bathroom onto the ceiling below. From the initial call to schedule an appointment to the service technician who visited our home, they were friendly and helpful. There was no service charge for the investigation and they determined the cause of the leak was something I was able to fix myself. I will call them again if I ever need plumbing services.

2022-05-31From the initial contact in the office with Samera to when our service rep Brandon showed up, my experience has been over the top! Samera listened to my issue and made sure that I was scheduled for an estimate the same day. The next day Brandon came to do the work. He was thorough and although he was unable to repair the piping issue that day, he made sure and cleaned up everything and would let the dispatcher know that we needed more extensive work ASAP. He said that due to scheduling, he might not be able to make it back for a few days. Samera called me the next day and said they would be out the following day. for clarification, my issue was a hot water line busted under our slab and due to the way the plumbing was run Brandon was unable to locate it without causing wall damage to our house (we just completely remodeled it 2 months ago). we decided that the best route was to re-plumb the whole hot water system.

2022-02-17I received a quote from a very nice guy that was over $1000 for repairs. I was having drainage issues with 2 sinks and a toilet. I thought that was pretty high so I got a 2nd quote from a different company. It was $107 to fix everything.... definitely get a 2nd and 3rd opinion before going with this place. They are charging a ridiculous amount.

2022-05-12Plumber was out very quickly to look at leak; charged $350 for the dig job to identify the leak but left with the wrong assessment. Had to bring out other plumber the day after.
