Not sure of the name of the cashier who helped my husband since she had no name tag and the receipt was under Nicholas. Older white woman, brown hair, red mask....didnt appreciate how you followed my husband around while he shopped and rude upon checkout. First encounter with horrible customer service. You dont want to help people, find a different job.
I love Eddie Bauer, but I can’t give them a five star because occasionally I do you have to return an item that was not well-made. That happens. The staff is incredible and the products are very high-quality for the most part. Having to return products occasionally does not stop me from going. The quality is worth the inconvenience of an occasional return.
I love Eddie Bauer but truly dread every time I walk in the door and see Patricia. She’s quite possibly one of the coldest people I have ever encountered. She is always right and the customer is always wrong. I truly might not go back to this location. Interesting to read other reviews with the same thoughts. Wonderful store, but one employee who is tarnishing it.
The worst online experience. Ordered on black Friday (which was a nightmare) and here it is a HALF MONTH later and I still have not received my full order. I emailed and got a response that it is on back order. It was NOT on back order when I ordered online. Why would you sell items online that you do not have stock of. I hope you fade into obscurity like all the other businesses that cant keep up.
I came in with my parents because my mom needed to return something and unfortunately got attended by a very rude manager named Heidi . We have shopped at Eddie Bauer before and never had an issue returning something or being mistreated . I believe that someone needs to teach Heidi about how to speak to a customer and she needs to learn what customer service is . I don’t write bad reviews unless it is really truly a very bad experience . Hopefully someone higher up at Eddie Bauer can speak to their staff and teach them how not to be rude and disrespectful to their paying customers .
First off, love Eddie Bauer. I have never been in an Eddie Bauer store with such an awful rude employee (or possibly manager) Patricia. Not only have I never been in an Eddie Bauer store with such a rude employee, Ive never been in any store with such a rude employee. She wasnt just incredibly condescending to us, she was training someone and I wanted to tell the girl she was training to run!! She was also awful to her trainee in front of us!! Great store, however Patricia has made us never want to walk back in there.
I have to agree with all of the other reviewers below who had a negative experience with Patricia. My wife and I visited this store last night to purchase a backpack for my college bound brother. After he picked a backpack, with more interference that what I would consider help by Patricia, we went to check out. Upon checking out, my wife asked to use her educator discount (which we have enjoyed several times at this store before) and Patricia infomored us that since the backpack was for my brother she wouldn’t honor the educator discount. It’s not a huge deal breaker for us, but it was very disappointing that my wife couldn’t use her discount on an item that she was paying for. We then asked if my brother could use his student discount to which she responded in a sarcastic tone “Now that’s a much more appropriate discount”.It’s a shame that this one employee is giving this otherwise good store a bad name. I would recommend employment elsewhere with minimal much human contact, because clearly she lacks the skills for face-to-face communication with customers.
I really like Eddie Bauer, but the employee who helped us was incredibly rude and arrogant. The website clearly says if you are not happy with a product you can return them. Patricia doesnt agree with that. She says its only manufacturing defects, but the website says that no where. She told my husband to just throw away one pair of pants, because they didnt qualify. She needs to work somewhere else if she is not committed to holding the standards of Eddie Bauer.

2021-06-15The merchandise is of high quality and the prices are good; however, the customer service I experienced was extremely poor. I had purchased several items online which did not fit. I took them in to the Allen location to return them and possibly find other clothing that would fit properly. The sales clerk (Heidi is the name on the receipt)had a bad attitude about taking the items back. After she scanned an item for return, she literally threw each one over on a counter top creating a wadded down pile. (Note: I had been very careful to fold each one properly and include the proper shipping information.) After she made the return back onto my EB card, I started looking around the store for additional clothing that I might purchase there in the store. She never assisted me and was rude when I would ask her a question or make a comment. I became so uncomfortable I simply purchased a belt and left. I would have purchased much more, but not under the circumstances. This low score is for the poor customer service I received; it has nothing to do with the quality of the merchandise or pricing.

2021-05-04I’ve been shopping at Eddie Bauer for well over a decade and for the most part I have no complaints: the clothes are good quality and the fit is consistent with the sizing. The one and only complaint I do have is with this store in Allen, Texas. For years now, I have dreaded having to go to this store because of the employees; they are rude, condescending, and complain about having to do functions of their job like accepting online order returns. It’s not just one employee, it’s the whole store. There is a culture of disrespect to customers that has been pervasive for a long time now. I don’t know how or if it’ll ever change if it hasn’t improved by now. I’ve contemplated driving to a store further away just to avoid the employees at this store.

2021-10-15Great selection and quality, but poor customer service - just like other reviewers mentioned. Most of Allen store employees are rude and arrogant. I always have a completely different experience at their Dallas store, which has friendly and helpful staff; I just wish that store was closer to home.

2021-12-22When I was returning one child jacket, the ladies there were extremely rude to me. This is the first time that I got scolded for returning something because the quality is bad. Unbelievable! I will never come back to this store again!

2019-03-24Enjoyed my visit today for jeans. They are cut to fit me really well. The sizes are constant so I could immediately pick ones that fit, without trying different ones. The store is beautiful. The best fitting rooms I have been in. They have opposing movable mirrors so you can see all around. Many things were on sale today at really decent prices. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, but not overbearing. Overall one of the best clothing purchase experiences I have had. The last jeans I purchased there several years ago have served me well.

2020-08-24First , I want to say we love Eddie Bauer products and have frequented many of their stores. Saturday we stopped in this location looking for hiking boots and the woman who was working could have cared less about helping us(actually, she didnt even offer). Shewas very rude and unprofessional and of no help when we asked her several questions about the boots. If you dont like helping customers find another job!

2020-01-23Staff could be friendlier and more helpful.The signage wasnt clear and the short sleeves were mixed with the long sleeves.Went back 2 weeks later to do an exchange and the staff was super helpful. It was like a 180 degree difference. Plus they rearranged the clothes and everything was labeled correctly and accurate signage.

2019-07-11We had a positive shopping experience today at Eddie Bauer. Marsha was our sales associate. She does such a great job at offering options for us to look at and try. She knows the product lines and made it a rewarding experience. She could offer lessons on good customer service!

2021-01-09Came in today with my grandmother to make a return and I usually never write reviews but the way the clerk spoke to my grandmother really upset me. It seemed as if we were a bother and we both walked out of the store in awe of the treatment.
