We have been going to Dr McLendon for years. As a matter of fact, I cant believe how many years its been. She and her staff are always friendly and professional. Special shout out to Pam who is so sweet. This last visit she asked me if I knew what I was having for dinner. I said no and then asked her why she was asking me that, thinking that she was going to tell me I shouldnt eat this or that and also thinking I didnt think my teeth were that bad! She said she was looking for suggestions because she was headed to HEB after work. Talk about laugh! Thanks for a great finish to my exam!

I was referred to Dr. Fulbright by an acquaintance, but she was unavailable. As this was a bit of an emergency (broken tooth, but didnt know that at the time), I was scheduled with Dr. McLendon. From the moment I walked in until the appointment was over and I started home, I was treated more like family than a patient. The staff is absolutely fantastic here. They had an in-room x-ray done within five minutes of taking me back and had it on the screen in front of me so I could see everything they were seeing.Dr. McLendon came in, introduced herself, and could immediately tell that I had a horrible fear of being at the dentist. Her bedside manner calmed me immediately, and I actually enjoyed my time there. However, due to the damage to my tooth, she referred me to an oral surgeon (Alamo Maxillofacial, whom I have reviewed as well). But she took an interest in me and my history, which really was one of the main factors in how at home I felt.I will be back to see her for all my dental needs - even as much as I dread going to the dentist - because I know they care and are great at what they do.I cannot recommend Dr. McLendon highly enough. I just wish I had found her sooner.
I know it’s difficult to find a great dentist that actually cares about their patients but, luckily I found Dr. Erin McLendon. She provides excellent work! She also put together the best and friendliest staff!! You’ll have a pleasant experience from beginning to end!! I recommend her to all my family and friends!!

Dr. McLendon and her staff are wonderful at everything: courteousness; diligence and their ability to explain conditions are all top-notch. They made my two root canals painless, and they assuaged my fears regarding my teeth. They were empathetic, yet realistic about what I needed to make them better.Dr. McLendon is so knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. She explains her treatments in great detail, and it is very apparent that she cares about her patient.Brittany, the Dental Assistant, is great. She can do my mouth X-rays without making me gag, she has a good sense of humor and shes always on top of her game. Brittany, the Office Manager, is incredibly friendly and willing to work with patients when it comes to payment plans. Monica did my cleaning - she is good-natured and showed me a technique for brushing the back of my teeth. Ray is great, as well!I know Im rambling and sound like a sycophant, but I have nothing but positive things to say about the office. I will continue to go to Dr. McLendon for as long as I remain in San Antonio.

Of course no one likes going to the dentist but whats worse then going and getting a horrible experience! thats the case i had with the last practice i went to. I was in need of more work so my co-worker recommended i try Dr. Eric McLendon since she was a regular there and told me that they were awesome! When i arrived i was greeted with smiles and i was seen pretty quickly considering i was a new patient! I was taken care of by Monsty who was very informative on what she was doing which made me feel SUPER comfortable. We chatted the whole time! The Doctor (Erin) then walked in to assure me that i was in great hands and explained to me what we were going to be doing that day. I really do appreciate the staff they have as they were very attentive and made me feel super comfortable and cared for! I usually dont write reviews but i thought everyone should know that when they go to this practice they will be treated awesome! i have another scheduled follow up in about 3 months and needless to say im pretty excited! lol :) Definitely will be coming back for any other procedures i may need!
I avoided the dentist as much as possible, because of some bad experiences in my past. Well I needed a dentist for one of my older children & asked for suggestions from my Facebook friends. Someone suggested Dr. Mclendon & I tried her. After his treatment, I made an appointment to see her myself. She completely put me at ease. After checking out my x-rays & checking my teeth, she explained everything I needed to have done. She didnt scold me for not coming to the dentist regularly. I have never had such a good experience with a dentist in my whole life going back to childhood. I have taken more of my children there, even my 6 & 8 year olds and she was great with them too. Her whole staff is awesome as is she. Getting an appointment is easy. When I go to set one up it is usually when would you like to come in. I cant say enough about this office. I found the best dentist! I am a patient for life.

Dr McLendon and her staff are outstanding; so personable, professional and sensitive to your fears. They are responsive and thorough in their work. I needed them for an emergency and they had someone come in ON A SATURDAY EVENING! Their state of the art office identified root canals that I needed and they worked well with my Endodontist. My teeth are in great shape for a 60+ years old woman. And now... Im getting them whitened!

I went here because of how great the reviews were, let me tell you words cannot describe how great they are! Everyone is very passionate about there job and you can tell its a wonderful place to work at. The staff are amazing and had me laughing a lot! I was assisted by Veronica who took my xrays, Pam who cleaned my teeth and Erin reviewed what work needs to be done. My teeth have never felt cleaner. By far the best dentist I have been too throughout my life thus far. Thank you for being so kind and taking the time to take care of me! And... For cleaning the heck out of my teeth .. ;-)

I am trying to make an appointment and her 4011 phone # is a non-working number--I cannot get through. Not a good 1st impression! I hope there is a good explanation and this is not a reflection of Dr. Mcs business practices.
Both my wife and I have been Dr. McLendon’s patients for over 10 years and appreciate her warm and welcoming demeanor and outstanding clinical skills. She listens attentively and provides thoughtful and well thought-out solutions.
Update 5 years later since the office just responded to this review: We went to the office one more time after my initial review - it wasnt the same experience. It was more difficult scheduling appointments the second time, and the office visit did not go as smoothly. While I wouldnt call it awful, it was enough for me to try another dentist referred by a friend of a friend. I eventually found a third dentist just outside of Stone Oak who we felt super comfortable seeing for the remainder of our time in San Antonio (military family). I would not tell you not to go to McLendon, I liked her. If you want to stay in Stone Oak, go to her. The second experience just didnt make the 5 stars on customer service experience for me. Docking one star from my original 5. My one complaint now is that they still send us appointment reminders when we havent been in years...and they send them to our address in South Carolina. Thats a little silly if you ask me, and wasteful.Original 5 Stars Review below...Ill start with the bottom line in case you dont want to read the whole review - if you are looking for a dentist in San Antonio (especially in the Stone Oak area), go to Dr. McLendon.I procrastinate and have had schedule dentist appointments on my to do list for a year. I finally decided on Dr. McLendon after looking at reviews on Angies List and dentists who accept my insurance (through tricare). I was able to request an appointment online (so much easier for me than calling). Within a day, our appointments were scheduled and confirmed for the following week (the time I requested). Our office visits could not have gone better. The office runs on schedule = no waiting. We saw almost no other patients while we were there (ie, they were not double booked). We will definitely be back in 6 months and will recommend Dr. McLendon to anyone looking for a dentist. All of the staff were friendly and helpful (including Dr. McLendon herself). The office was clean. They accept (and file) my insurance (a must for me). They were great with my 5 year old.I had a previous dental experience in SA several years ago and they scheduled my comprehensive exam (x-rays & all), but had me come back for a cleaning. I thought that was so ridiculous. I was happy that Dr. McLendons office did NOT do that. The previous dentist also required my daughter (not even 2 at the time) to have an appointment just to get a referral to a pediatric dentist. We had to wait 3 weeks for an available appointment for them to sign a referral (took all of 10 seconds), for us to be able to schedule the appointment with the pediatric dentist (which took another 3 weeks to get in). Dr. McLendons office was a far superior experience.We have found our dental home in SA for our WHOLE family - what a relief! Again, the bottom line = if you are looking for a dentist in San Antonio (especially in the Stone Oak area), go to Dr. McLendon.

Yes, the last name is the same because Dr. Erin McLendon is my daughter-in-law. That notwithstanding, she is an outstanding dentist who has literally rebuilt all my teeth. I was a grinder and had little left to work with, but she did it and did it beautifully. Im not only proud to have her as my daughter-in-law, but Im also proud to have her as my dentist.

The highest compliment I can give is I keep going there even after moving to the other side of town. Dr. McLendons work on my mouth is great. They provide excellent service and you are always greeted with a smile. Even the billing department is reasonable and looks to bill your insurer correctly the first time.
I have hated going to a dentist all my life and I usually procrastinate until the pain says hello. Now, after Dr. McLendon and her fabulous team treated 4 of my teeth, all fear is gone. Best dentist in town. She is one of the few dentists who uses the Prophy-Jet machine to clean teeth. During the first appointment she takes care of you the whole time, she even cleans your teeth. She has a soft and smoothhand, something that I appreciate a lot (she does not hurt you while cleaning).
Dr. McLendons entire outfit is first-rate! She has taken care of Bob and me for several years now, and is so kind and gentle that we forget she is thorough and highly skilled and knows what kinds of problems to look for and solve. We are very happy we have found her.
Been to many Dentist in my 70 years, Dr. McLendon is the best. I had the dreaded root canal followed by a crown. I walked in was greeted by a smile, taken right back put into a chair and made comfortable. Dr. McLendon came in to numb me up I never felt the needles, then she started drilling and I never felt a thing. She deadened the nerve drilled and put three pins in and topped it off with crown. The whole procedure was absolutely painless!! If your searching not for just a good Dentist, but the best Dentist go to Dr. McLendon, shes the real deal.

Seriously, this place is amazing. The x-ray tech was pleasant and comforting. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was meticulous. She spent almost an hour making sure my teeth sparkled. And the doctor was very sweet. Id definitely recommend this place!!!

2022-03-31I love this office and the service here. The one think I hate most is waiting especially when I have an appointment. This have been the issue at all my previous dentist. I went the other day here and I was in and out of the chair in 15 minutes! This was of a procedure I have been waiting for some time. Here at Erin McLendo, DDS, they provided excellent service and the front office girls were on point. It makes me feel confident to say I recommend this dentist office.

2022-05-11Erin and her whole staff are a delight to know, they are very caring as to your needs, and explains in full detail the treatments outlined, i had a cracked tooth that sadly will be will have to be removed. I am having full deep cleaning done and highly recommend her hygienist for doing a super thorough job on that part of my future procedures They are the very best i have experienced up to now, and would highly recommend to everyone...

I have had appointments with both Dr. McLendon and Dr. Fullbright and both are excellent as well as the hygienists. I will never go anywhere else, even if they stop taking my insurance!

2022-07-19I took my special needs granddaughter to Dr McLendon for an exam, cleaning, and fluoride. I was very nervous because my granddaughter is deaf, blind, has CP, and I thought she would NEVER cooperate. Well, Dr McLendon has the most gentle, reassuring approach to her patients that my granddaughter was relaxed and cooperative through the whole process!! I was amazed and thrilled!! And we were treated with such respect and caring by the entire staff that there is no doubt we have found our new dental “home” with Dr MCLendon and her associates!!
