Honestly blown away! Went to Caliber on Alamo Ranch Pkwy and they had an hour wait, Midas on Culebra was the same, hooked a right to Express. Stephen got me in and out in less than 3 minutes and thats not an exaggeration. Theyre right behind Target and didnt miss. Best inspection experience Ive ever had. Ive waited longer in a drive-thru. Tell Stephen the guy with the white Grand Cherokee sent you. He will not disappoint guaranteed!
Highly recommend this place! After a bad experience at Big O tires and them messing up my car, I took it here to Isaiah and he was able to figure out the problem and fix it. Customer service was excellent and the staff didnt try to scam me for being a girl like other places do. Will definitely be my go to place from now on!
My first time getting my oil changed here and I could not be more happy with the service I received from Stephen. He was so primed and answered all my questions. He even showed me how I could tell if I needed new tires. Something no other tech has ever done. I’ll be coming here every time for my oil changed. Please give him a raise or promotion! He deserves it!
If you want to spend all day waiting for your car to be fixed,come to this shop.I went in,in the mid morning for a simple AC check and it took 4 hours. I was not happy because I unable to be at the bus stop for my daughter and she was scared. I couldnt drive my car because it was back in the shop with the hood up. I was so hungry and sick from not eating waiting there practically day!!I called the customer service number and a lady called me back and said that it was not the customer service number and she would have the manager call me back. That was a week ago and I havent heard from them.They have no concern for others or their time.DONT GO HERE!
They were very nice and detailed with the work needed for my vehicle. There prices are reasonable. I waited 4 hours for my vehicle to be finished so its recommended to drop it off if possible. Once I was finished, I paid and left. By the time I got home I realized they forgot to put something back in my car. I called them and had to drive back there which was annoying. Recommend to check your car for everything before leaving. Hopefully this was a one time thing but I normally like going to Express oil change locations since your information stays in there system and their services are normally excellent.
Since we move to San Antonio we started coming to this place to change oil in all our vehicles and we love it. Especially the one of the gentleman(color man) sorry donor his name but he is so awesome very helpful and so seeet does a lot of extra as clean the windshield and put air in our tires. We always notice he is very kind and helpful great customer service we love it wouldn’t take our vehicles no where else. Keep up the great job guys we will definitely pass the word around with friends and family
I came to this location a few months ago for a state inspection and had such a great experience. Fast forward to now… I normally get my oil changed at the dealership but didn’t have the time to drop it off or wait for a few hours. I remembered this place because of the great customer service back in July. When I pulled up, the same guy that had performed my state inspection was there to greet me and see what he could help with today. Robert Martinez is awesome and is the reason why I came back today. He changed the oil in my car, helped me reset the “change oil” indicator on my dash, and put air in my tires. Thank you again.
Trusted to change oil and rotate tires on our automobiles. Always friendly and great service. Appointments online are useless however. Had a 9am oil & tire rotation, did not start working on the car until 09:36. Once they got working on it though, done by 11. Fairly busy Monday mornings.
From the moment I pulled up the staff was very attentive, informative, and friendly. They made you feel welcomed and confident in the work they were performing. I went in for an oil change and a tire leak repair, and as they were working on that I realized they perform state inspections here...so I went ahead and got that done also! I will be taking my wifes car in for the same thing. I have some more major repairs/maintenance scheduled for this weekend with them and I am hoping the consistency of quality service and quality work will stay on par, I am confident it will. I will be following up with an updated review after we see how the major repairs go. Robert and all of the crew there run a great and reputable shop. For now, my 5 star review is theirs to lose or keep!
I had an Oil change today with Stephen. He was amazing. He also added air to my tires! He was professional, quick, and made a loyal customer out of me. You dont see that kind of customer service everyday- he didnt seem like he was there for a check, but instead to serve the people who come through. Worth a mention for sure!
Im in San Antonio for the summer & needed an oil change.. this place was the closest to the house. I LOVED it.. they changed my car’s oil, check if all my lights worked they even checked the tires :) i will definitely come back whenever im in town in need of an oil change.. the person who helped me was Mathew
Called this location to see if they could patch up a tire. They said they could so I drove over at 5 and when I showed the tire to them. An older bigger gentleman with a gray goatee and glasses comes to me and looks at the tire and says he could not fix it. I asked if he could at least fill up the tire with air and im surprised he did. As he was filling up the air I noticed two workers coming from the back of the shop where they work on tires and engines..wondering what they were doing there?? So I had to put my spare on the car. My wife works on the southeast side and went to a tire shop over there and was able to patch up the tire no problem. If you work at a tire shop be expected to fix a simple patch that could have only take 15 minutes instead of this bad review.
I took my car here last week for a diagnostic because my windshield wipers stopped working. I knew it was the fuse because of the events that took place prior to the wipers shutting off. I explained this to them. I was told my windshield wiper motors were not working. I was also told there is a motor for each side so both of them needed replacing. Very odd they would go out at the same time. I was already skeptical of this and in the back of my mind knew they would tell me this is what was wrong in order to get more money out of me. I was charged almost $800 for the replacements. I said no thank you and left. My husband decided to change the fuse and windshield wipers now work perfectly. I am appalled this was not looked into when I took my car in. They threw this enormous bill at me as if anyone can come up with that amount of money for a car last minute. I will not be taking my car back here for any reason due to the lack of thoroughness. I almost unnecessarily put a dent in my bank account because of their carelessness. Stop playing around with people’s money. Some of us have families to take care of. Very upsetting.
My husband and I have been taking our cars here for regular oil changes since the location opened. The managers and technicians are always honest & offering options to make repairs as affordable as possible. My most recent visit the Technician assisting me was Jose. Jose did an amazing job answering all my questions, I had quite a few because the check engine light was on in my car. Jose worked with the store Manager Marcus to help me get the prices affordable for me on the repairs I needed. Marcus also allowed me to use some of the coupons I saved from my visits even that expired a month ago to help with the cost of the engine light diagnostic. Thank Jose for all your help, and thank you Marcus for easing the stress of having to pay for repairs, & trying to push me into other services I was not ready to pay for yet😊.
We’ve been coming to this location for a few years now and have always been happy with the service and the friendliness of the employees. They get us in and out in a timely manner. It’s really convenient to be able to stay in your vehicle while they do the oil change. Today I had Marcus and his team complete my overdue oil change and everything went great!
The service I received here at Express Oil Change as been one of the best experiences I have had in awhile in getting my car serviced. They provided me with plenty of options for what I needed, they were quick, and very helpful. Marcus the manager and Jose the tech were very kind and professional. I will definitely be coming back and recommending my daughter to them.

So, I didnt end up getting my oil changed here, because they didnt have any filters for my car. I rated it 5 Stars, because they were honest about it before they did anything. You always hear about shady lube shops, but at least in my experience I was treated with integrity and respect.
Pulled up nobody even paid attention to me everybody was laughing joking a bunch of clowns if you ask me why name for oil change charge me $100 stephen told me I had a leak in my oil pan I paid $20 to have it looked at took all day they told me they can repair everything for 500 they came back and said it was some more stuff ended up spending 1500 I don’t even think there was anything wrong with my car in the first place be careful with these guys they’ll take you for all you got
Oil changes are always quick and painless, and youre in and out in fifteen minutes or less. Additional services take a little more time, but its worth the wait. A great value for the price--an oil change, AC filter change, fuel system cleaning and wheel alignment for around $200 and I only waited for about 45 minutes.
I drive a 2000 F350, perform most all the maintenance myself. That said there are a few items I just don’t have the tools to perform, front end ball joints are one of those jobs. The price was fair, the job was performed within the time specified. I honestly plan to use them for all my front end alignment as the price and quality of work is well worth it!
My husband and I have been coming to this oil change location for over 2 years and love it! We drive up and the oil change is complete within 10 minutes! The staff is extremely kind and the pricing is wonderful as well! The store manager was Marcus and the rest of the crew was Jose and carols! Thanks guys!!
Love this place! I service all three of my vehicles here whenever I need to get any maintenance done on them. Junior offered exceptional service under Marcus (manager) while I got an oil change and a tire rotation and balance. They check all of the fluids in your vehicle, top everything off, and check that all safety features (ie. lights, signals, horn) are in working order. They also gave me a printout of all the required maintenance thatll be coming up on my vehicle so I know what to save towards on my next visit. Top notch service and professionalism. I highly recommend this place. This is also the only place I come to get my vehicles inspected when the time comes up.
I took my car here to get everything fixed with it after a long road trip. They looked at my car and told me $1,800 would fix everything for me. I paid that $1,800 and that was just the tip of the iceberg. I have been bringing my car back every week since, because now my car has death wobbles... I have NOW spend OVER $3,000 in total at this place and MY CAR IS STILL DOING IT... They just guess on what the issue is on YOUR PENNY.. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE THEY WILL ONLY CAUSE MORE ISSUES WITH YOUR CAR...
I visited this location based solely off the reviews on Google. The reviews were accurate! This establishment is quick and has excellent customer service. I went in for a oil change and tire rotation/balance. They were done in a hour. They were also thorough and completed a courtesy check on my lights, horn and topped off my fluids. They also give 25% off for veterans! They are worth a visit.
Had to get a oil change and service was amazing and quick! Marcus checked me in and was very polite and friendly. Trenton did my oil change and was very friendly and helpful with every question I had. Very professional staff and helpful! I will be a retuning customer.
I have been here twice in the past month to get oil changes on both my vehicles and have had Kat help me both times. She is so incredible and professional and just makes the process so much better. I recommend this place to all my friends because the service is great and the prices are much lower than the businesses around here. I can always come in during my lunch break and make it back to work in time. Highly recommend!
I had a nail in my tire and had to get back to work, stopped in to see if it could be repaired. Brandon and the staff put my spare on and got me back to work and had my repaired tire waiting for me after I finished work! They went out of their way to help. I really appreciate it! I highly recommend you give them a try. You wont be disappointed!!
Kevin was great, explained all my options on the oil viscosity and recommendations on mileage. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Topped off all fluids, didn’t over sell anything and provided excellent service and got me in and out. Even offered a discount for the oil change and I didn’t even have to get out of the car!!! Great place will be coming back my next oil change and I will definitely recommend to anyone.
I will give a 5 stars to Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers. I been getting services to my 2004 BMW here at this shop since the year of 2016 and I have received nothing but quality services from this place. The staff is very nice and technicians are top of the line. The Shop Manager Robert is very proffessional and respectfully person that has always received me with a greetings, and a smile on his face and has always provided me with maintenance course of actions and solutions for my vehicle to keep it up in the best conditions possible. The maintenance service charge is very reasonable and if you are military service member or a veteran you will always enjoy of a military discount.
The staff was very professional and helpful with my request . I was in and out in a very reasonable time. They also took their time to give me advice how to help maintain my truck and it’s suggested maintenance . Their pure knowledge and professionalism was amazing . This locations staff worked so well as a team . It was very nice to see their teamwork . Helping one other when called upon proved to me why they were able to have me in and out so fast .
Wasted my entire afternoon. All i asked for was an estimate and Im left for 4 hours until they are literally closing the garage doors around my truck, just to find out no one even bothered trying to get one. And they had the audacity to still charge me $20 for an inspection i didnt ask for where they even falsified on the report that the TPMS light was off, when it in fact, has been on the past 20K miles. Beyond dissapointed.
*1 Yr Later Update* 12/7/20 Still top notch service! Went during lunch for an oil change, inspection, tire check and engine light check. The young lady performing the services was quick, professional and had a great attitude.Went in for oil change and inspection. Adrian, was very professional, constant clear communication with coworker below bay and myself. Offered air filter replacement didn’t pressure me to purchase. At the end of oil change he came to my window with dip stick to show full clean oil. Clean facility and great service.
Mia was wonderful very informative and professional. Not to mention I love her nails ! I mean really she did my oil change , checked all my filters, fluids and tires with ease and profession. We ( my husband and I) visited Express Oil Change ( Tire Engineers) randomly and it was the best random choice we’ve made in a long time! Conveniently placed next to the shopping center and our home. We decided to try this place out to get our oil and transmission fluids changed. DB was absolutely EXCEPTIONAL in his service! His acute knowledge was keen and appreciated when we asked questions. Never have we had such great, absolutely amazing service. We left feeling full and happy with money well spent. And with our wallet not completely empty and our Honda riding on out smoothly we are happy! So, Thank you! We appreciate ya!
I have heard mixed reviews about this place and yet I’ve never had an issue myself as of yet. Usually I get my basic needs for my vehicle done here and just recently I had an oil change performed by Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers. My experience was quite pleasant having brought in my own desired oil and oil filter and I was in and out within a reasonable time frame. During the entire time I never once felt pushed or pressured to purchase a product that I did not need as other shops tend to do. The customer service was friendly and I was asked about my vehicles basic information to ensure the service I was being provided was accurate based on my vehicle. This of course was so that the employees could ensure that my vehicle would be taken care of properly and without any issues. Great job to everyone over at Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers.
I was so grateful for Rene taking the time to explain everything that was happening at each step of the process. I dont know a lot about cars (she even had to help me open the hood!), but she was always respectful and kind. The service was comprehensive and well done!
After calling 5 different oil change companies for prices, these are the only guys who answered. I originally went to Jiffy lube but after being ignored for 10 min, I came here and dont regret it. I was greeted within seconds even though I was way in the back of the line which was impressive. The man doing the oil change was very polite and professional. It cost me $70 for a full synthetic oil change which is cheaper than jiffy lube($100) and service was impeccable. Good job guys.
Made an appointment on the website to get my differential serviced. When I got my car in the bay they told me Id have to wait 45 minutes before they could get to it and an hour for the service. Again I made an appointment. So I asked them if they wanted to do it? It seemed to me like they didnt want to do it and were trying to get rid of me. So the mechanic took a look and said they could do it there in the bay. Then the technician takes a look and said it was bone dry and showed me a picture of a possible fuel leak. Now Im thinking my differential has no fluid and that I may also have a fuel leak. So the mechanic takes a second look and says its condensation or something and asks me if I added anything to my fuel cause the consistency was funny. Said theyd clean it all up and check the fluid level in my differential. I dont feel confident that they did anything so I will probably have to take it somewhere else to get it looked at for my own peace of mind. Ridiculous.
I got my car inspected. I was greeted promptly by one of the managers. I waited in my car in a line for my turn. It took about 10 minutes per car. Mathew, the young man who worked on my car, was very sweet and kind. The service was done quickly and in a professional manner. Im very happy I chose to go there. Mathew even told me to go get my sticker at an HEB, which saved me a lot of time at the Tax office.
I went on Tuesday for an oil change in my daughter’s car. They were very quick to get get started on our oil change and the lady that helped us was very friendly and thorough. She explained everything well and even let us know there was a ladies day discount on Tuesday’s. Great service!
July 3rd was a very busy, hot, and hectic day for the Express Oil Change crew. It seemed like everyone in San Antonio was trying to get their oil changed before the holiday weekend. Even with the complete congestion of so many customers, the Express crew was highly motivated and professional in their work. I would like to send a shot out to Mr Bass the Express Oil change manager. He not only kept his crew motivated during this onslaught of work, but he personally would check on the well being of members and ensured they all stayed hydrated. With observing the crews you can tell they are high efficient and skilled in their craft. I can honestly say for all the times I have gotten oil changes this has been the best experience I have ever had. That is all owed to Mr. Bass and his crew. Thank you for the quick and awesome work.
I have never been so wowed by customer service ever, anywhere. I only came for an oil change, which was cheap for my older vehicle, but when my battery died while in line, I was taken care of very well! Brandon and the General Manager (didn’t catch his name) were very kind and funny, which was much needed in this stressful situation. They worked hard and quick to find me a good battery and a cheap one too! I’m definitely bringing my business back
The young man assisting us said he was the assistant manager and his overall customer service was great. I didnt have any problems while there, I asked for an oil change and had the air filter changed as well. Went home everything was fine. Next day my husband noticed the car was leaking oil. We called our mechanic to have it looked at and he said that the flange had been tightened to much and needed to be replaced. Dropped another $70 bucks on the repair, I had already spent $86 on the services initially requested from Express. I do feel very conflicted about this experience because had the leak not happened this would have been a 5 star review and Id be able to reccomend their service. I cant imagine this always happens, maybe it was just a one off, I probably wont go back though.Edit- I received a call from the shop manager, was at work so I didnt answer. He left a voicemail letting me know that all of there work is guaranteed, you just have to take it back to their shop to have it looked at. He offered a free oil change and was very polite. I never called back because Im not looking for free money or services, I dont like that kind of customer and thats not the impression I was trying to make. I just wanted to share my experience so that you can make your own educated decisions. It seems like this was probably just a one off type of deal. Again, the customer service was impeccable throughout my time there and even in his voicemails that followed.
One of my tires ran over a razor blade just right to embed itself into my tire. The closest place was express oil. They were very welcoming even though they were close to closing. They brought in the car and helped me within 30 minutes. Very reliable and helpful place.
Change my front tire and the alignment was bad, went back the guy said that was fine and had to go back again to have IT alaign my stirring wheel vibrantes after 60 km. I dont like when you take your car to get fix and comes out with another bad thing IT did not have
Oil changes shouldn’t be hard. But a technician muttering under his breath about how much he hates changing oil on Volkswagens in front of a customer isn’t professional. He failed to remove the rain tray from underneath the vehicle before he drained the oil which resulted in a massive puddle of oil in my driveway. I took it back so they could clean the residue off so it would stop leaking everywhere and they did that. Or at least I thought they did. Come the next morning there was another leak making another massive stain in my driveway. I took it back again and asked to speak with the service manager so we could work this out and make it right. The same technician said he was the manager and didn’t give a single care in the world. I normally change my own oil but have been busy and did not want to deal with it, so I got charged 95 dollars for a bootleg service that a ten year old could do with more pride than express oil showed me. Will never be going back and don’t want other people to not be taken seriously when they come back with an issue. Upon further inspection and removal of the train tray, there was about half a quart of oil in the grooves which were slowly leaking out as my car sat in the driveway at an angle overnight. Considerably frustrated at the unprofessionalism and failure to service a vehicle correctly, the first time.
Update 7/20/19:No one ever reached out to contact me. Seems as though the goal is to look good on your Google reviews, but this place doesnt want to put in the work of fixing or mending a bad experience. No excuses, you all have my phone number, email address, and my mailing address. The customer should not have to email YOU first when it was your mistake.10 minute oil change took an hour. Technician got oil all over my light beige cloth panel. When I told another technician about it, he laughed. They couldnt figure out how to turn off my maintenance overdue light. They were going to get another mechanic to try to figure it out but I was tired of waiting there. Bathroom had dead cockroaches on the ground. Not a pleasant experience. I tried to clean my cloth panel and it is still visible. That panel is expensive to replace.
Update. Decided to try them out again; this time was much better. Staff was very helpful and did a great job.Took my car here for a number of services only to find out they charged me for rotating my tires but never actually performed the service. One of my tires had a mark on it and that tire was not rotated. Yet they did charge me for the service.
Update on this review- my husband received a call from the owner, Rick. He had reviewed the store tapes and the Honda emblem was present from the time his car entered the shop and when it left the shop. This means it was taken at Walmart’s parking lot. We are grateful that Rick called is back. He was very nice and acknowledged that my original call should have been handled better. I am glad to hear that these companies are on top of providing good customer service by responding to the customer. Knowing that they have the technology and take our concern seriously helped us track down where the emblem was taken from. Now we are not assuming or wondering if we can trust Express Oil change and know that they are trustworthy. Thanks again to Rick for returning our call and for caring about the customers concern, we will gladly continue to do business with you.My husband got his oil changed this past Thursday and on Friday evening he noticed his Honda emblem in his front bumper was missing. Normally it would be hard to place when it would have gone missing but he had recently washed his car and it was still there, he also smokes in the garage when it is cold and sits staring at his cars grill, which he had on Wednesday night and did not see it missing. The only place he had gone on Thursday and Friday before he noticed it missing was to get his oil changed and Walmart. So we cannot say where it was taken from. I suggested we call the oil place so that the manager would know in the case of some other customer complaining about a missing emblem. I called Jiffy Lube at Alamo Ranch and asked to speak the the manager. I explained to Joseph and to my surprise he immediately started scanning his video surveillance, he asked for make and model of my husband’s car and when he could not see my husband’s Honda he asked for his name to look at his records. He stated how they take theses types of complaint seriously. He could not find any cars on the Thursday that matched my husbands vehicle. I told him I would get the time he went because I was positive my husband would have his receipt. Joseph, asked me to call him back, he showed genuine concern about even the possibility that something like this could happen at his shop. Well, when my husband showed me the receipt, it was not Jiffy Lube but Express Oil Change. I called Jiffy Lube back but Joseph was out to lunch and spoke with Shane, who had been filled in on the situation. I must say I was very impressed with the proactive and positive attitude of both Joseph and Shane they gave great customer service because they went beyond what I was expecting. I cannot say the same for Express Oil Change, which when I explained the reason for my called I was told that they would look to see if there was any Honda emblems laying around. I had to bring up video surveillance and they finally said they would review it, I felt like I was left hanging. I had to ask if I should call them back to find out if they discovered anything. At the end I suggested they could learn from Jiffy Lube’s customer service. I had to tell them that they should have asked for my name and phone number so they could contact me, instead of me call them. Needless to say, we didn’t hear back from them. We will now be going to Jiffy Lube for our oil changes.
I just want to give notice to the manager Marcus. He went above and beyond his expectations. He saw I was in a need of help and he took control of the situation and I commend him for that. He was very professional and he did an outstanding job taking care of me ; so thank you again Marcus.
Ive always had good service from this establishment. From inspections to oil changes to replacing tires. All good services and fast. Ive been going here for all my automotive needs rather than Walmart or Jiffy Lube.For example: called Walmart because I had a nail in my tire. The said it would be hours before getting it fixed. Went to express and it was almost instantly. They could not repair it but had the tires I needed to replace them. All within a couple of hours to complete.
I took a 2018 Tucson in with a stripped Oil Drain Plug. Still took care of me in a timely manner. Every single person I spoke to treated me with dignity and respect. I usually do oil changes myself, but the experience was so pleasant and fast that I might just start coming here regularly.
I went in to get an oil change on my fathers truck. The price was fair and I told them I did not want full service since I had a bad experience in the past with a different company. All I wanted was the oil change and nothing else. They agreed. Half way through the visit I felt a lot more comfortable with the technician and his knowledge so I agreed to the full service. They also told me of a possible leaky radiator cap and the problems it could cause if I didnt replace it soon. They were right. I had a bad radiator cap and replaced it. No more leaking. I also read that types of problems associated with a bad radiator cap with that truck and the mechanic wasnt exaggerating. Great experience and knowledge. I will return in the future with my vehicles. Good crew they have there and it was fast.
I came in today for an oil change on a vehicle I just bought yesterday. Kat was awesome , she checked all the fluids and filters. My ac filter was horribly dirty she showed me how the new one looks and I was sold. I got estimates for regular maintenance on vehicle to keep it running good. I look forward to coming back. Service was excellent! Also whoever was under the suv doing my oil change thank you!
Ive brought my car here for oil changes and state inspections several times and I like the location (super close to where I live) and most people who work here are friendly. I cant see myself going back though.Last week I took my car in for another oil change and my state inspection. Both procedures shouldnt take long but I was there for over 2 hours. My oil change was done quickly and I paid for both procedures within 20 minutes. The first portion of my inspection (lights, horn, blinker, etc.) was done by one technician, then I was asked to pull forward to let another vehicle in the bay. and proceed to wait about an hour to be asked to bring my car back around to do my inspection.The second technician then started to have me do the first portion of my inspection *again* and had me fill out the form with my info even though I was already in the system. When I told him Id already done all of that and was in the system he pretty much just shrugged it off and said he didnt see the paper from the other technician lying around so he had to do it again. If Id known you were in the system I wouldnt have had you fill that out again. Well, he didnt ask so thats that.I do my best to be very patient with people who work in a customer service type job but I really did not appreciate the tone in which I was spoken to by this technician. He came off condescending rather than helpful when it came to what needed to be done to pass my inspection. Then, after being there for an hour and a half, the location closed but he was staying behind just for you to make sure youre finished up. as if he was doing me a *favor* by staying late rather than just doing his job. I cant help but think if theyd attended to me in a timely manner neither of us wouldve had to stay past closing time.I also had to wait a while for license plate bulbs to be brought from another location since I needed them to pass my inspection (and the inspection HAD to be completed that day). Not a huge deal, but then again, Id already been there for about 2 hours so Ive waiting around longer...Maybe this wouldve been taken care of sooner if...whatever.I wish I could say this was a one time thing but Ive waiting a loooong time at this location several times for very routine things. There are other places Ive gone to where theyve taken care of me right away, didnt talk down to me, and didnt make it sound like it was *my* pleasure to be helped there after waiting for hours. I think there are some miscommunications between technicians that maybe caused the delay and the misunderstanding regarding what had and had not been done regarding my inspection.Ive come here due to convenience but after this last experience I dont think Ill be back. There are plenty of other places in the same vicinity that can serve my needs.
I took 2 cars here for 100,000 maintenance work...the customer service I received from Lance went way beyond my expectations. He constantly kept me informed since other work was needed, was extremely polite and patient. He offered to stay late and continue working on the car after hours! Who does that?!? An employee that put my concerns and needs first. He made me feel that he knew added expenses aren’t what anyone wants to hear but that he would take personal responsibility to ensure I would be extremely satisfied. His confidence was at a managerial level. I will spread the word to family and friends to bring their cars here for their needs. Thank you Lance!!
My wife and I have been going to Express oil change for a couple of years. They are pretty good for your basic services. I have had good experiences and bad experiences here. Today was a bad day. I showed up with four new tires to be mounted with my wife and two kids. They weren’t too busy, but they said they were under staffed. They asked if we could drop off and pick up by the end of the day. So we drove home and got a second vehicle so we could do that. We returned and dropped off the vehicle. When we got home and unloaded or children they called us back to tell us that they in fact could not get to our vehicle today. They requested we return and get the vehicle again with no service to the vehicle. This is not probably the workers fault for wasting our time and constant run around of our children during nap time, but poor management. I hope this feedback helps. Sad to say we had to go somewhere else due to this. I hope they get better, but I would have to give them an an average rating. I will return for service so hopefully they improve.
I have been bringing my vehicles to Express Oil Change &Tire Engineers since we moved to San Antonio about 2 1/2 years ago. We will not go anywhere else. Everyone is always very professional helpful and honest. This last visit I realized that I needed to leave a 5 STARS review ASAP. Thank you Kevin for your professionalism.
This is the only place I’ll go for an oil change. The staff is friendly and they do not work on commission. They simply make recommendations and let you make the choice if you want to buy additional services; there is no pressure at all. I like it because you just drive in and sit in your car while they do the oil change. They offer other mechanic services, but I have only ever needed oil changes. I would highly recommend this place.
Dmarion is the definition of how great customer service u.s to be performed. He went through everything that was being done or checked on my vehicle. He also had a great attitude and was very friendly. The staff working on my car were very quick and efficient. That kind of service is what is going to keep me going back to have my vehicles serviced. Ill recommend the same to my friends and family.
Absolutely love this place. Staff is always friendly, and goes above and beyond to take care of you. They clean the windshield everytime, and today I even got the hinges of my doors oiled up. I went early enough to make sure I had time since its Saturday and I figured they would be busy. The staff apologized for the wait and offered me a discount even though I was okay with waiting. They safety check your car, ask you how your day is going, and are just overall nice people! I hate going to do stuff like this but truly do not dread going here!
This place totally ruined my car. They did a diagnostic on my vehicle and stated the valve covers needed to be replaced due to the car leaking oil. I agreed to pay for the service and once the car was ready went to pick it up and when I drove it for 3 minutes the engine was shaking and idling really bad. I immediately returned the car same day within 5-6 minutes. I explained to the manager the issue he stated they forgot to connect something and they would get it taken care of. I kept calling to check on the car and they stated they would return my calls but never did. After 10 days had passed I went up there and they stated the valve on the car was hanging and that would cost 4000.00 to repair. Keep in mind the valve was not hanging prior to being in the care of Oil Express and the car was not shaking and idling when the car was dropped off. They ruined my car and left me with a 4000.00 worth of damages!! This is not the proper way to do business and I would not recommend this place at all. They may be good for oil changes but as far as repairs are concerned I would not trust them.
I never thought that oil changes could be any different than what I had experienced in the past. But oh my word this is a game changer Express oil is the fastest smoothest easiest process Ive ever had in my life. Adrian is the guy I worked with who worked on my car and we chatted for a minute about books and he rocked it out like I cannot tell you how much this process it was so nice so nice if you need an oil change you need to come here. Full stop. dont even look at other places. No need to read any of the reviews I am telling you this place is the best oil change place youll ever go to in your life.I feel spoiled now I feel like Im ruined if I dont find another place like this when we move in a few years, because you just stay in your car and are in and out within 30 minutes (depending on car line up) Im looking forward to going back, Ill go back for any car needs.
I made an appointment to get my tires rotated and balanced before taking a road trip. Waited over an hour for my car to be started, despite having an appointment. Afterwards, I quickly discovered that my tires were never balanced and had to find somewhere to balance them myself. I also started having problems stopping and had to find a shop to see my car, where they told me that my tires were put on unevenly causing the safety hazard and damaging my car. I’ll never go back to Express. The only positive thing about the whole experience was the friendly attitude of the representative that checked me out. Otherwise, save yourself the hassle, go somewhere else.
Assistant manager needs to be promoted to manager. The current manager, Robert McClure, was rude to my husband after they did the complete incorrect service on his truck. Not only was it the not the service we asked for, but they did it incorrectly by overfilling the freon . When confronted about the issue, Mr. McClure asked my husband, “well what do you want us to do?” Ideally, we would’ve liked for it to be done correctly the first time. The assistant manager seems like he is the only one who knows what he is doing and had great customer service consistently.Edit*** the owner’s response to this review represents the type of customer service at this establishment. What he states in his response is not what happened.
This is a great place to receive service for generalized work on all makes of cars such as oil change, topping off liquids, checking tires, putting air in tires, sale of tires, some maintenance, State Inspections, or the like. Please call to see if they provide service for what is not listed above. The prices are reasonable and the customer service is very professional. I love driving in for routine tire checks.
Zero stars. Botched my AC. I came in with no AC and left with no AC. For some reason I paid for the parts $$$ anyway. The manager and mechanic are full of BS! Told me to sit down and look pretty... And pay up of course. sexual harassment and of theft of service... I politely asked for a refund and they blew me off saying they would call me. They didnt.They are so shady and incompetent theres no use in talking to them.Response to the owner:They should not have started the process of my AC if their knowledge and experience was limited. Own up to your mistakes and lack of expertise. The next place had to go repair what Express botched. I did end up paying triple because of Express mistakes having to be supplemented. I cannot believe I paid so much for someone to not know what to do and to not get results.The shop around the corner was able to get my AC going after cleaning up the mess Express left me with.
They did the Job very quick, but we have been waiting 45+ min to be checked out, I am more than sure it does not take more than a minute to take my money and give me my keys. I have asked multiple times and I have been told to continue to wait, I am a very patient person, I worked in service industry and understand some things but when I am being ignored and my truck is parked right in front of me, for more then 45 minutes I can become very irritated. I should have been home along time ago. I am currently writing this reveiw while I wait to be cashed out. Also they claim to be adhereing to sanitation regulations but there are dead bugs and candy scattered all over the floor. It literally takes 2 minutes of your time to do these things. I was told they were under staffed not under qualified employees. Pretty upset about this experience. I wish I could talk to a manager or something but Like I said I am still waiting for someone to come into contact with me. I have had time to write this review, go back and edit grammer and punctuation, and go back and knock it down from a 2 star to a 1 star and still finish this before any one has talked to me.
I been here a couple of times and these guys are always on it. The gentleman I believe name Demoreay super helpful professional down yo earth.The assistant manager gave me a ride while my car was being worked on. Pulled in and was met by a staff member. I noticed the 3 oil change bays were full and asked how long the wait was for an oil change. He told me 10 minutes for the car in bay two to finish, then 10 minutes to do my oil change. I agreed and they directed me to queue for bay 2. 25 minutes later they were still working on the previous car, meanwhile 2 other bays had finished and they gave those slots to customers that arrived after me. At the 30 minute point I complained and they moved the car out of bat 2 and instructed me to drive in. At this point I expected to be out in 10 minutes as that was what I was told, and on the building, in huge letters they advertised 10 minute oil changes. It took them 30 minutes to do my car as well. I got no other services, there were no irregularities, it just took them 30 minutes to change my oil. When they were done, and I had paid, they brought me the bill and said we just need you to sign and we are all set...and the technician walked away for almost 5 minutes leaving me sitting there. The bay door was closed so I couldnt even leave the bill and drive off. Huge waste of time. I wont be back. I chose this place because I was nearby. Valvoline on Culebra does it much quicker.
My alert in my car was showing that I needed air in my tires. I was on my way home from picking groceries, I stopped and asked if they could put air in my tires, and how long would it take because I had groceries. He told told me sure, he directed me where to go. They took care of my problem in a flash.I will be returning for all my car needs.I would recommend them for you auto needs.
Id love to rate these guys higher, but I have had 2 oil leaks in my RV from pinched o-rings immediately after oil changes. Once this caused me to have to do another oil change 900 miles away while on vacation. They failed to tighten a turbo hose after replacing a fuel filter which then blew off going down the highway in the same RV. This ruined a trip to the beach.Most recently I asked them to check the air in the tires. They lied, said they did, and told me the light would go off after driving. I know my vehicle. They never touched the tires. Of recommended 32 psi, I had a max of 28 in one and 22 in the rears which I found after getting gas 30 minutes later. I am done with them, and this after having all of my vehicles (4) serviced there since they opened their doors a few years ago.The issue seems to be solely in the oil change bay. I have not had any issues with the service bay.
Ok it’s my first time taking my car here for an oil change. I needed it done before I drive from Fredericksburg for a Pillow Talk Party and I happened to be house sitting on this side of town. Didn’t even show me the oil or oil filter. Just did the change and charged me $90+. I get in and turn my car on. All the lights were still on that were on before. The oil change light. The tire pressure light and the washer fluid light. All of which should have been checked and the lights reset. I’m very glad the lights were still on as I might have just left.I spoke to another (older) person and the things were not done properly. Oil looked clean but other things not so much. They had to take it back in and recheck everything. I’m glad they did that - but I’m still unhappy that it happened in the first place. I wonder how many people just leave and trust that the service was done properly and that they are taking good care of their vehicles. Ugh
So I get to the store asking for a wheel tire balancing and they guys there told me I had to buy new tires because otherwise my prublem will not be resolved. No way ! When in life on a shop do they tell you that in order to get your tires balanced you have to get new tires? That is stupid !Poor serviceBad customer serviceDon’t spend your money on this place !
I went in for an oil change and was told I was going to be charged anywhere from $20-$25 for the oil change. Pretty standard I had thought, but when it came time to pay, I was told that now I would be paying $40+ for the services... Reason why was to pay for the labor.I would have had no issue had I been told before I agreed to the transaction. Pretty shady if you ask me.
Went yesterday, and was sent to lane 4 for my oil change service. And sat and waited for 40 minutes in my lane, while I watched 4 other cars in other lanes, go ahead of me. Now I get that timing can be off, but for that many cars to go in front of me, 2 from one lane were moved quicker. The worst part, the gentleman working that bay, did not come talk to me at all. The gentleman working Bay 3, after realizing what was going on, came to talk to me, had the next person in line in bay 3, move and he moved me to his bay. He is what saved this review from a 1 star. I come here for all my work. Ive never had this experience and was honestly floored at it. The lack of communication is what really bothered me most. Unfortunately I never got the gentlemans name in Bay 4. In Bay 3, his name is currently escaping me, but begins with an S, was absolutely amazing. Again, he saved this review. I was highly disappointed in the service yesterday.
Just had a great experience at Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers. After being turned away by another tire shop... NTB... because they didnt feel comfortable rotating my [bigger than normal] tires, I went over to EOC&TE and they got me right in without a problem. Rob, one of the Managers, even gave me a ride back to my office AND brought my Jeep back to me because I didnt have a ride back to the shop! He was so polite and helpful and because of their amazing service, I have no plans to go anywhere else from now on! Thanks guys!
Had car inspected. Found a “hard spot” on my windshield wiper. Wanted to charge me 20-40 dollars to change it. This is the first time I used them and last. Looking for minutia to use to charge you more hoping you will do it because you don’t have time to run down to Wal Mart. If they do this for an inspection no telling what they do for other work. Last time for me.
First time here, Kevin was fantastic helped me with my oil choice and explained why he chose something different from my usual. As well he didn’t try to sell me any extra service and instead let me know what would be recommend on my next serviceWill be coming back here for future services.
Wow. My most recent interaction with this so called shop has completely changed my opinion. I had gotten 3 major repairs done exactly 1 year and 2 months ago (all of them addressing oil leaks) and thought all was good. All was not good. I noticed oil dropping from my truck 2 weeks ago, from a spot that had previously been repaired by Express, upon further inspection of my engine I noticed more oil seeping from the valve cover gasket, intake manifold gasket, and oil pan gasket. All of these repairs had been done from this shop and had costed me a total exceeding $1,100. I then drive to the shop this morning thinking that they would be able to work with me, long story short they did not. The manager George who appeared to have just rolled out of bed tells me that there is nothing that they can do because it has been two months past the warranty (by the way he was extremely rude in doing so). I understand this but I suggested that maybe they could work with me on the prices for the repairs since after 1 year all of the repairs that were completed failed and started leaking oil. The manager Georges response to this was well I can ask the owner but I already know the answer (I didnt know they hired psychics here). I still have not gotten a phone call and dont expect to. Please do not spend your hard earned money at this shop they will gladly take your money but that is about it, go down the street to MD Automotive off of 1560, at least they take there time and make quality repairs unlike Express Oil Change.
Went for a oil change and tire rotation. They destroyed my entire hub assembly and rim. It took about 3 weeks to have the parts replaced. Speed of service is extremely slow. Manager is overwhelmed and difficult to speak to. The oil change team is always extremely friendly though.
This is my second time bringing my car here and I must say that you dont find a lot of express oil locations that are as honest as these guys. They accidentally charged me for an oil change but quickly called me to let me know of the mistake and refunded me the money right away. Ill definitely be coming back for my future car services. Thanks again for the awesome service!
Been coming here for 4 yrs and lately the service here has been terrible. Guys shouting out all unprofessional. Waited 1 hr because the manager Dave Pera wanted to flirt with the girl in the car in front of me. Then when I finally was able to drive my car in for service most of the guys flocked to the car in the next lane trying the flirt with that girl.. i also saw one of the guys vaping (Kenneth or James).. this will be the last time i take my vehicles there!!!!
Usually a good experience but not today.Crew seemed distracted by a previous employee visiting and that caused delays.I knew my tires were low and asked that they be checked. When I got my receipt, there was no note of the tire pressure. When I asked about it, the crew scrambled to even find the tire pressure gauge, so obviously no one had bothered to do it before.Been going here for three years but not sure if I’ll be back.
Great experience today. Prepping my car for son to take to college, so putting new tires on because my sweet, sweet Hyundai Elantras so quick off the jump, the tires are near bald.OK. The Elantra is just an Elantra thats good for 0-60 in 60 seconds, but I did need tires.Made an appt online. Demaiea B. calls me shortly thereafter and tells me he can get the tires and get me in next day. Very cool, but needed to hold off till scheduled appt due to work.Was out and about early today and stopped by the shop on the off-chance I could get in early. Demaiea comes out, big smile on his face. Hey, you must be John. Tires right? Wanna get em on early? Lets do it!Fantastic service! To the Express Oil and Tire management team... Demaiea B. was awesome. Very customer oriented. Despite me dying in San Antonio heat and humidity, Demaiea was there working in it, all day, and his professionalism and great attitude didnt fade. I will recommend Express Oil based on my experience today with Demaiea and the great work by the mechanics I cannot by-name recognize because I didnt catch any of their names.5 STARS!

2022-06-23I originally went to a business called Official Inspection Station at 10480 Culebra Rd San Antonio, TX 78251. The posted opening time is 9am and I arrived at 10am. There were 10 cars ahead of me waiting and the establishment wasn’t even open. I checked yelp and apparently not opening on time is a common practice of the official inspection station. After 10 min in line I decided to give Express Oil Change a try. I pulled up and they had 2 inspection bays open. Heather greeted me with a friendly smile and asked how she could help. She pointed me to Kat the inspector. Kat was professional, courteous, and even gave me some coupons for an oil change. She took the time to offer excellent customer service and I was done in less than 10 minutes! I will be coming here from now on thanks to fast and friendly service. PS if the manager is reading this please consider giving these two a raise. They deserve it.

2022-05-28Magnificent is the perfect word for what I experienced! They are kind, thoughtful, courteous, and fast but not hurried. Stephen Surrey gave me the best customer service I have experienced in years. I didnt know this type of customer service still existed but it does here. They not only took care of my needs but they also extended professional courtesy between the co-workers. An awesome breath of fresh air and from now on this is the place for me and my car. 2022-04-16I’ve utilized their services several times. It started with an oil change, then new tires, and now my brakes. Every time the staff here have all been amazing! From the moment you call they are all super friendly, informative, and the service was super quick. The price was also very reasonable. They are so good that they went out of their way to accommodate my needs the same day. Tom (the manager) left to go get my parts, who does that?! Shout out to Nick, Stephen, Heather, and Tom (I seem to always have contact with them). If you’re looking for a place that is quick with superb service, this is your place!

2022-06-18I recently had my truck inspected at this location and was blown away by the great service that I received. The reason I chose this location was because of the other great ratings that I read about this location, specifically about a gentleman named Stephen. I can verify that this place of business lives up to the hype. Stephen is a great guy, super friendly and he takes care of his customers. The service is quick, hell have you in and out in no time. I highly recommend this location for inspections and any of your other service needs.

The old place I used for my tire service was 3 stars and I could see why. A big difference in service provided. I appreciate the communication with the customer.

2022-07-11Very friendly and professional staff, but I did run into an issue. I went in for a tire repair. My tire had been losing air over the weekend so I knew I had a puncture (Had to keep airing it up until Monday). Ive had multiple repairs done on different vehicles and its usually an easy fix. I took it in and was told that they could not find the leak. I was told that the air pressure was low (under 15 psi compared to other tires) and that they filled up my tire and said I should be good. I argued that there was a leak and that my tire will probably go flat again. They stated that it could be the valve. I took it home, made it as quiet as possible and put my ear to the tire. I could hear the air escaping. I took it to another body shop and within minutes they found the leak, patched it up and I was on my way.

2022-04-13Stephen was on top of his game…he was definitely running the show 🙌 he was super efficient with everyone. Very friendly it was a good experience even for my kid in back seat. On this specific day my husband was in his truck with our son I was in my jeep with my daughter to get 2 oil changes, and there were other cars and an oil delivery…Stephen even made the kids happy with toys.
