I’ve had a unit at this location for about 6 months! I’m now in the process of moving out of Dallas, and Jennifer was BEYOND helpful. My movers left me hanging and Jennifer was quick to be helpful, kind, and find a solution. On top of that, she helped us with supplies ( their office has everything for purchase!!) not everyone would be so quick to help out, and Jennifer was! Thank you so much. I’d highly recommend this location- they care about their customers!
Excellent location; very clean throughout the unit and building; and best of all, outstanding customer service that goes the extra mile! Jennifer was amazing in helping me determine what size unit I needed as well as in providing helpful tips on how best to pack and arrange it to maximize the space. Since I travel a lot, its great knowing that I can call Jennifer and the other people who work there to get questions answered quickly. They are knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. Wish I could give 10 stars for the exceptional service theyve consistently provided!
Was not expecting much when I walked in the door, but was very happy to be greeted by a very friendly, knowledgeable and inspiring employee named SJ. She walked me through the process of renting a storage unit, walked me to the unit itself and made the whole process simple and easy. Extra Space Storage should be proud of their employees. If you need a nice clean location to store your stuff this is place.
We have had a unit at Extra Space for a couple of years now and we needed to get a larger unit. Jennifer made that experience easy, smooth and fast!! She is very friendly, upbeat and you can tell she loves helping her clients!! Thanks, Jennifer, for such wonderful service!!!
I stored here for over six months and my experience was ideal. The facility was clean and well maintained. The management was excellent- Deborah always took care of me and made sure to remember my name and even where my unit was located. This store is truly a gem and Extra Space is lucky to have a manager like Deborah!!
Deborah offered friendly, professional and thorough service to my wife and me. We were renting a storage unit in Georgetown, Texas and doing it remotely at this location. Our movers suggested I use this storage facility and when I called and spoke with Deborah, it turned out that we could probably get a better price at one of their other locations, given how much we needed to store for a long period of time. Deborah could have just passed me off to the manager of the other location, but instead, she phoned them for me to inquire if they could accommodate our needs and called me back to confirm. Im impressed with Extra Space as a company because the other manager was JUST as helpful and between both of them, we found a spot that works at a price we can handle. Highly recommend this company as they helped me measure and accurately figure out just what we needed at a price that worked.
From the minute I heard Deborah’s upbeat voice on the phone, I knew I was in for a great experience. I needed a storage unit ASAP, like within two hours, as I had a mover with a van full of art that I suddenly realized would not fit in the space I planned for it to go! Panic! But, no problem. Deborah was waiting for me when I arrived just ahead of the moving van. The paper work was a snap...a great improvement over the “old” days when signing up for a storage unit was like closing on a house! The unit was clean. Perfectly sized for what I needed to store. Things went in without a hitch. And Deborah shepherded me through the whole process with professionalism and positivity. Fantastic.
I came here to inquire about storage space. I will be moving out late December and did not know how the storage business works. I went by other locations when I decided to stop by here. I spoke with the manager Nemi at this location and she was by far the sweetest person. She took me around to see the facility and explained to me how safe and secure the location is. The gate hours are amazing and the security at this location has been the best I have seen. It is super clean and the floors are really shinny. I always thought storage was a dirty place but this location exceeds my expectations.
Melinda made the process clear and easy to me. This location is very clean, professional & safe. There are no hidden fees with Extra Space, she even let me know how I could get money back when I notified them last minute that I was moving out & wouldnt be needing my unit any longer. I highly recommend this location & their team!
I had something of a saga trying to get a storage unit. The ones right near my place were either all booked up or ridiculously expensive. Enter: Extra Space StorageMy experience working with this company has been nothing but positive. The facilities are clean, they take security of the premises very seriously, and the prices were more reasonable than other places I had tried!Also, I have to mention that the staff were exceedingly friendly and positive. They went the extra mile to ensure my satisfaction and did so with smiles on their faces! I had the pleasure of working with both Melinda and Deborah, and I genuinely enjoyed visiting with each of them as they helped me with my particular needs. They will treat you right!
Debra and Rob are amazing! I have had storage here (lots of storage) for exactly one year. They were helpful every time that I had questions or needed extra help. One day I left a whole bunch of boxes outside that I was going to come back and throw away and Rob went and threw them away for me. Robb and Debra go the extra mile and have sweet attitudes all the time !!!!
I came in to buy packing supplies and I was blown away by the level of customer service. One manager was going over a lease when I walked in and the other manager was helping entertain the new renters children. After giving the children a project to entertain them, Melinda went over the best way to pack up my wine glasses, which are very important to me, to make sure they would not break. Melinda and Brittany were so nice and really go above and beyond to be helpful.
Melinda and Albert really helped us out. We went 3 months behind on the rent and they worked with us only charging a small, fair amount of fees. We are moving out today and would come back here if we ever needed storage in Uptown again. Easy to work with and not a bad price for the location.
Mike Ramirez and Mike (the other mike) were fantastic. Within a few minutes of reserving my storage online, Mike called me and confirmed my order which I ended up upgrading to a larger unit based on his recommendation. He answered all my questions and was very helpful. A week before my move in, he called me back to confirm my arrival time and asked if I had any questions. When I arrived after a long drive into town, he was very attentive and provided fantastic customer service. He gave me a tour of the facility and was totally ready for me to click and sign my paperwork. Best storage facility experience I have ever had. I would recommend to anyone and would absolutely use them again.
I came into this location recently to get packing supplies for my move to Seattle. A lovely young woman named Melinda helped me pick out the correct boxes and padding for my car. She even gave me tips on how to pack my art supplies over long distances. She was very cordial and professional while being able to relate and empathize to my situational needs. I would overall recommend this as my best experience with any storage company all due to the amazing customer service I received from Melinda.
Competitive pricing, well kept facilities, excellent security features, and a wide variety of storage options makes this a great storage facilities company. What makes it exceptional is the knowledgable, personable, helpful and friendly staff. Couldnt be more happy to do business with this company and I would gladly do it again.
My experience with this company was absolutely excellent. Managing a move with many different moving parts and especially from my East Coast location could have been challenging if I was not luck enough to have found this company and especially Michael Ramirez. He was WONDERFUL!!!! He completely took a complicated move, simplified it for me, took ownership and even completely helped me to maximize value and save a little bit in the process. Deborah, the store manager, made all the difference. She is responsive, caring and very helpful—very handy if youi’ve forgotten your entry or exit code, lost your lock key, or just want to open or close an account at their McKinney Ave. location (all of which we’ve done!). A safe and clean storage place. Highly recommend.
This has been the best customer service experience I’ve ever had. I came in a few weeks ago and got the smallest unit and Aj let me know that it may not fit everything I was trying to do. Confidently, I still continued on with the size I had. Fast forward to today, I walk into the office and admit I may need another unit. Aj not only remembered my name, but that I had recently went on a trip and asked me about it. He then got me another unit and was extremely helpful in getting me one near my other unit and another lock. Seriously hands down the best experience you could have when it comes to storing your items. Thank you thank you thank you!
Deborah, who works at the front office has been beyond helpful to me on more than one occasion, especially in regards to coordinating with third parties (i.e, friends, family, or people interested in buying furniture)that need access to the unit when I am out of town. Melinda and Terimy are wonderful!! I was so stressed out trying to find a place to store my belongings while I am out of the country. The managers at this location were professional and knowledgeable and went above and beyond, making sure I didnt have any unanswered questions or concerns. If you are looking for somewhere clean and trustworthy- look no further- Melinda and Terimy are the ladies for the job!
The office staff at this location ROCKS!! Recently visited to obtain additional storage (we already have two units), after speaking with the team we came up with a much easier solution that helped us consolidate our items more efficiently and was cost effective too. Always helpful and friendly!
Discovered extra space storage while helping my boyfriend find alternate storage post recent apartment move. Hes renting a small unit and I must say I was really impressed with the level customer service in helping us identify the right unit for our needs. Its clean, secure, and close to where we live. Ask for Melinda if you go, she was extremely helpful!
Today I closed up my unit after having it for 5 years. The manager and staff have been incredibly helpful and friendly. The facility was perfect for my needs, for storage of household items and everything was found in perfect condition after not having opened the unit at all in the period of the 5 years. My wife kept complaining about all my work equipment taking up to much space in our garage and backyard. I stopped by Extra Space Storage which is conveniently located a few blocks away from our home. I was able to find a nice unit to fit all my equipment and get my wifes blood pressure back down. My experience of dealing with MELINDA and Terimy at Extra Space Storage on McKinney Avenue was very pleasant. They truly respected the relationship that my family and I have had with them and the storage facility for many years. The facility itself is always clean and well kept and we will always think of Extra Storage first for our storage needs!
Let me start by saying this review would get 5 stars if it wasnt for the manager.The customer service is hit or miss. Originally I was moving from Cali and needed a place to store my bike. I spoke with the assistant manager Terami and she was very helpful. She went above and beyond to help me. When they werent able to accommodate my need, she told me she would call me as soon as something came up. This lady called me 5 times over the first month I lived out here any time something came open. She would ask about my new job and my fiancee. She was very kind and answered every question. She was impeccable.The manager is not at all customer oriented. I made two reservations online and she would sound noticeable irritated when she called as if i was a huge in convenience to her. The call center told me she instructed them to not take reservations for me any longer. And was very rude when I came in to see if one of the units terami reserved for me. She insisted my bike would fit inside one indoor unit and rolled her eyes and huffed when I explained the saddlebags wouldnt fit and that I would need to pass on the unit. I knew I would not rent there due to her attitude.Terami called me a week later about an outdoor unit that came available and I told her about my experience with Melinda . she apologized and was very empathetic, and asked if I would like them to stop calling about units. She was so kind and has been so diligent in contacting me that I figured i would give it a shot. I came by and the unit was perfect. I forgot my drivers license though. I came by the next day after work, and Melinda was there and terami was at a different store apparently.First off, she told me the unit terami showed me was no longer available and had been reserved for someone else, but then back tracked and said it had been first come first serve..so how was it re reserved? Then she showed me one the apparently had just moved out. It was filthy compared to the other but was my only choice. It has been a week and the unit terami showed me is still available with a store tag on it. I think she did it because she was mad about terami reserving one for me.Then we get to the office and Melinda said that I wouldnt be allowed to have the promos quoted to me by the call center that I verified with terami. and argued with me about them. Then she told me the call center made a mistake. Finally she let me have the promos on my account.If it wasnt for Terami I wouldnt have rented there at all. Originally I was planning to store for two years but Im already looking into different storage facilities.
Went to this Extra Space Storage location a few days ago as I am planning a move soon. Spoke with Terimy and Melinda, who were both extremely helpful and answered all of the questions I had without any issues. They were both very friendly. Great staff, will recommend this place.
After leaving Extra Space I feel like I met a real friend. Even though I don’t need a storage for another 8days, McKenzie still took the time to give me the information I needed. He listened my rant about howI hate moving and even gave me tips on packing. I will definitely be doing business with ExtraSpace soon!Thanks McKenzie!!!
This was the most pleasurable, thourough and positive storage renting experience I have ever experienced in the 35 years of storage needs. Extra Space Storage employee Nemi and Manager Deborah went out of their way to make this stressful time as easy as possible. I ran out of random things for an upcoming move, and a friend told me to swing by extra space storage. I was helped by a woman named Terimy, she was very helpful, and the prices were fair. We talked briefly about storage prices and the benefits of their storage units. If I ever need storage I know where Im going.
Our company has been so satisfied and and happy doing business with this particular location .The store manager Jennifer has gone above and beyond in every way to take care of us.Shes been professional,curtious and a pleasure to work with.Weve done business over the years with several Extra Space StorageLocations and this one by far has been the BEST!Thank you Jennifer for making this location the one in Dallas to do business with,your Awesome!!!
