It is the staff that makes this particular Marriot location so inviting. Every person goes out of their way to insure your stay is the best it possibly can be.Admittedly, the rooms are in need of a remodel, but are extremely clean and well maintained. The lobby area had a remodel not too long ago and they just need to bring the rooms up to current.Boerne area lodging is a bit higher than found in San Antonio, but overall better value than staying in the RIM area (and with far less traffic). I usually book a week, and the rate is extremely reasonable. They are pet friendly, and everything is less than 15 minutes away.
This hotel is located on the outskirts of San Antonio near Fiesta Texas. It is not directly on the side of I-10 but is close and isnt hard to find with the GPS.It is a good hotelbto choose if you are traveling past El Paso as this is a good location to rest up before you take that long tripIt is clean. The rooms are spacious. The staff is Super Friendly. My stay was quiet.I Highly Recommend this hotel.
This hotel didn’t meet Marriott Standards. I wasn’t impressed by the facilities and rooms. Overpriced for sure. Room decor was outdated.Poor facility maintenance: elevator, hallways, etcSome of the people at the front desk were unfriendly. The only gentleman I interacted with at the front desk was very nice and very helpful. As well as a young lady I interacted with on Saturday afternoon. No upgrades available for Marriott members. This is the first time a rollaway bed was not available and the reason given was COVID-19. I can’t complaint about breakfast. The lady taking care of breakfast on Sunday was super nice and helpful. She went above and beyond expectations!
The hotel itself was hot on the inside. Our room would not cool off, we had friends come in and tell us how hot our room was. We slept with no blankets or sheets on. The hotel was booked so there were no rooms available. The beds were so hard and the pillows were way old. There were stains on the room walls, hotels in the bathroom walls and the paper on the wall was peeling off. The breakfast line took FOREVER we waited 25 minutes in line and then there was no seating because the line kept backing up. We finally said forget it and went to the taco truck out front, which was probably for the best since the selection was so low inside the hotel. Definitely not worth the money to stay here!
Absolutely worst Marriott I have ever been to. I checked at noon which was great to get an early check in.... but the hotel parking lot was empty so Im not surprised they had a room ready. The lady at the front desk had her child behind the desk which is unprofessional. Then the mad me sign a form for my service dog stating I will be charged if I leave the dog in the room unattended (even if there is no damage). Then they gave me a room straight across from the housekeeping laundry room with the housekeeping door wide open. When I went to my car to get the rest of my things the entire dining area was full of smoke (drywall dust) from a construction repairs being done mid day, with no plastic covering anything. The dust caused me severe respiratory problems. Congestion and coughing. I decided to check out after 30 minutes of checking in and I was told I will not get a refund because they are not authorized to give refunds. Im a Bonvoy Gold member and have never been to a worse Marriott. I moved to Bevy Hilton and this hotel is the only place I will stay in Boerne TX from now on. I will get my refund.
My husband and I have traveled a lot and have experienced about everything when it comes to hotel stays. Thankfully - we really enjoyed our stay. The room was great but the staff usually makes a difference in visits. We arrived prior to check in and they allowed us to keep our luggage in storage which included a refrigerator for insulin. They provided stellar customer service and thats important to me.
Our bed did not have a top sheet and my husband and I came to the conclusion that because we were tired we overlooked a very important exclusion. Comforters are not washed, our bed did not have a top sheet... so we were sleeping in dirty bed. When I complained to the front management a lady went to check the room. She came back and said that I had overlooked the sheet because it was folded at the foot of the bed. I ask why would a top sheet be folded at the foot of the bed with a comforter and a bedsheet on top simply for me to take the comforter and bedspread off, pull the topsheet up then pull the comforter and bedspread back on? They were trying to feed me a coverup lie. The workout room:We were unable to use it on a Saturday because it was locked. We were told that we had to make a reservation for the workout room to ensure that it would be clean before and after our use. We then reserved it for 8:00 a.m. the following day. We arrived at 7:45. The workout room was filthy! There were half eaten cups of crackers, empty water bottle and empty used paper water cups. The handle bars were sticky, there were spider webs at the base of the elipticle and tread mill. there was a gum wrapper at the base of the elipticle. The room had not been cleaned in a while. We were told that they could not ensure that other kids would not use the room prior to us. I dont buy it at all! The cleaning lady on our floor was very helpful when we asked for extra supplies and she was very professional.
Well where do I start. The hall ways are HOT... the ice machine on the 3rd floor has a buckets behind it that water detains into and then over flows onto the floor because no one is dumping it. The beds are HARD! The morning breakfast is what really was disappointing. The people who were working breakfast only gave a little scoop of eggs and 1 piece of sausage or 1 piece of bacon. She told a gentleman that he could only have one so she would have enough for everyone!!!! Like she would be upset if she had to go make more. My kids ate more at 3 years old then they were giving grown men for breakfast!!! It was ridiculous. My husband and I came down ate then asked for plate to take up to our kids that were still sleeping and she made smart comments like ohhh I guess we are expecting people to come down late. Breakfast ended and they still had food in the dishes but it was a big deal if someone wanted seconds. For a CAN of soda they wanted $3.00!!!! I mean come on $3.00!??? I also wanted to sit outside it was a super nice night and the only place to sit was by the pool. The pool closes at 10 and it was after 10 but I was not swimming and I was quiet and I was asked to leave. The only good thing about our stay was a good amount of our extended family was staying there with us and the AC was cold in the room. Definitely was not worth the money that was spent.
The stay was great, breakfast was awesome. The only thing is due to covid I understand there’s safety measures in place that we need to follow and that’s why guests are not allowed to get their own food. With that said, it’ll be awesome if you had more than one person serving. We had to stand and wait in line a long line to order and wait for our breakfast, not complaining just giving an idea. But the one that takes the cake is the traffic to get in and out of the hotel. We went to get lunch and it took us 30 minutes to get back to the hotel and we only went 2 miles down road. I understand this is out of the hotels hands but it’s a very inconvenient situation. Overall my stay was excellent no issues what so ever. Thank you !
I have been here 3 weeks and the staff and housekeeping have been really friendly and professional. The room is always kept up and clean and when we need anything they bring it with no problem. Grab and go breakfast is good the lady who cooks in the morning is always polite and with a smile. I would definitely recommend and stay here again
We stayed her for a wedding, and were not impressed. My husband spilled coffee in the room and used towels to clean it up. When we called down to let them know, they said they were out of towels and did not offer to come clean up further. The bed was very firm and there were not extra pillows as requested. We tried calling down to the front desk twice and there was no answer. This hotel was definitely not worth the pricetag and I wouldnt stay here again nor recommend.
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Can not believe Marriot lets this place use their name. Very strong mildew smell when you get in the room. Dont give this place the benefit of doubt like i did saying maybe the AC just needs to run. One of the rooms had bugs in it, Left the hotel that night because of the bugs and sought-after for a refund and was told no. The General Manager Harper Hillary Laughed on the phone when talking to me about the issues and refused a refund. Made every excuse even with the provided pictures. Talked to Marriott international customer service and when my case was escalated she just closed it right away. This hotel is a scam and i really hope Marriott will take their name off this location as it puts a horrible picture of what Marriott should provide in a stay. International Customer service was very helpful and informed me this is not a true Marriot and Boerne has a franchise form of the hotel meaning they are supposed to represent and follow Marriott policies and cleanliness but they obviously do not.
Comfortable bed; friendly staff upon late (11pm) arrival. Room was dated and relatively dirty—unfortunately didn’t notice this until next morning when I found dirty floor, bugs in bath and bedroom, stained towel. Floors were filthy throughout hallway and elevator. Didn’t risk breakfast. Nothing a good cleaning top-to-bottom wouldn’t fix, but didn’t seem like that has been done in a long while and zero urgency for cleanliness. One person working the breakfast bar so ten people deep.
AC working off and on, very old unit. No AC in hallway so started to sweat in my walk to elevator. Small breakfast portion. Maybe like 1 egg and two small sausage links, o had to get seconds. Bathroom sink wasn’t draining properly. Staff was very nice and accommodating, but hotel is out of date with multiple issues in my room.
The front office staff were amazingly sweet and very apologetic. Unfortunately, we were checked into room 110 and had to request another room due to the mildew smell;it was very strong. Great news, we were given another room, 232; which did not smell. Unfortunately, the air conditioner did not work. We woke up at 12:30am sweating and miserable. They did provide us with a fan. I will not be staying here again. There are plenty of hotels right up the street from this one that Ill try instead. Again, staff was very kind and apologetic but our stay was horrible.
This is a 2 star hotel for a reason. Upkeep is very poor. The sheets and towels are so worn they are see through. The whole building needs a paint job. It smells bad. The ac unit stayed on all night and wouldn’t turn off. The prices are too high for the quality. I’ve looked at rooms online, at motels, that appear cleaner than this place. Keep looking!
The whole hotel was VERY clean and welcoming. I was at a previous hotel checking my mom and sister in and went through 2 different rooms because it was so filthy. I called the Fairfield Inn 15 min out of our way and the GM, Hilary, answered the phone. She was such an angel for helping us get one of the last reservations she had, and making sure my family would be taken care of.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel. We did have a few problems with our room initially but the staff was able to help us relocate to a new room. Perfect amenities for a weekend away and easy location off the freeway. Great for our dogs as well, the staff even provided a door placard notifying guests and staff that we had pets in our room. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
The front desk clerk was very nice. He was from Chicago. The room had various holes in the walls and ceiling from moving drapery hardware and thermostat. There was a fried booger on the wall next to the bed. The stay was fine, the staff was friendly but the hotel misses on that special pampered feel.Breakfast was good and the coffee was great.
As Titanium members, we have stayed at numerous Marriotts around the world. Fairfield Inn in Boerne is by far the worst Marriott we have ever stayed in. Its an old hotel with a thin layer of lipstick. Nice hallways, but the rooms are horrible with old, mismatched, scrapped wooden furniture; stains on the upholstery, peeling cracked paint over the bed and ceiling, and overall the property felt dirty. We tried to switch to a Marriott that was cleaner, but the manager (Hilary) wouldnt refund our money. If youre looking for an upscale homeless shelter, this is your hotel; if youre looking for a Marriott property closest to Kerrville, then try the Fairfield Inn Fredericksburg or SpringHill Suites San Antonio. We have stayed at both; they are very clean and safe.
The service begins at the front desk, man do yall have some top notch level front desk employees. And than get to the room and so fresh and so clean. Great night stay. Breakfast in the morning has never been easier with 4 kids. The breakfast ladies really know how to take care of you. Make you feel like family. All in all great great experience.
No frills hotel with clean rooms. The staff is taking Covid seriously and took great care to ensure all common areas and rooms were clean. A taco truck in the parking lot was convenient and welcome as there are no restaurants within walking distance. Ill will return when I return back to Boerne
I have stayed at this hotel several times and I am always satisfies with their service. The atmosphere here is very nice. The staff is always friendly and our room is always clean. The breakfast is always hot and fresh and if you need something the ladies in the back are always willing to help. This last time they even cooked veggie sausage for my son, even though they were not serving that day. The pool is a great place to relax and have fun. We will defently be back when we visit San Antonio again.
This hotel is in a great location and has a better than average breakfast offering (always includes fresh fruit and vegetarian options). The rooms are very nice and quiet, beds, are comfy. However it is the team that make the stay. The friendly, professional and attentive approach of the manager Hilary flows throughout the whole hotel team. The welcome and appreciation of your business is genuine. If it did not say Marriott you would think it was an owner operator they care so much.
The hotel was clean, and the breakfast team did an excellent job ofMaking people feel welcomed as well as kept the place clean. All the food was prepared and maintained with excellence! The smiles and friendly conversation made it all come together though! Like I said the were just nice to be around! Good way to start the day!
The heater in our room took awhile to warm up which left us pretty cold that night, but otherwise the room was great. We had two tvs (I think the wedding party upgraded us) with great channel options, the room was clean as was the bathroom, and the lobby area. The check in staff was very friendly, although considering I checked in using their app I thought check in would be a touch faster, but it didnt take more than 3-5 minutes anyways. The breakfast was about as good as youd expect for a free breakfast - eggs, sausage, waffle maker, muffins, bagels, cereal, and yogurt. There are NOT a lot of Ubers available in the area if you are there for a wedding, we tried ordering one and it said it would take 20 minutes to arrive so we ended up just driving and not drinking at the wedding we went to.
The lobby and breakfast area is very pretty but the rooms arent quite as nice. Theyre not the worst or the best, just average and could use a bit of updating. Breakfast was good, we stayed 3 nights and never any bacon-I love me some bacon and the danishes were old and hard. Other than that everything else tasted good. I would recommend this hotel most definitely to anyone needing a place to stay in the area. Just giving my honest opinion on the things I didnt like.
The staff at this facility was friendly, helpful, and professional. The check-in process went smoothly and we were able to quickly get into our room. Our initial impression is that this facility presented a somewhat dated appearance. This extended from the lobby appearance to the guest room. The systems within our guest room also indicated this wear and tear due to age. The toilet did not function properly and repairs were not completed as promised. The air conditioner was noisy and marginally effective. This hotel is in need of updating.
The rooms were comfortable, staff was very accommodating and very friendly. We were going to have just a one night stay but got an extra night to enjoy pool & hot tub. Needed a good break. If you find yourself in Boerne or north of San Antonio is a good place to stay if your in the area. Breakfast was good, again staff did great job there.
I have stayed at this property 3-4 times and it is always great experience. The rooms are spacious and clean plus I receive upgrades for being a Marriott Rewards person.I think that the most impressive part of my stay this time is the friendliness of the all of the staff.Hilary and Tiffany are the two most memorable of the staff. They always had a bright smile and expressed an interest in my trip and stay.My experience in life is that money cant buy friendliness or a bright smile (unless you have a really good dentist) so I feel that they are just the type of people someone would want, not only as an employee but as a good friend.Since I have family in the area I will always stay at this property. I felt right at home thanks to Hilary and the staff. A great team!! Thank you so much.
The staff was unprofessional on thier cell phones. The beds were hard and the sheets were rough. There was a knob missing on our ac unit. The towels were cheap and rough. Signs in the lobby area were all battered and bent. Overall this felt like a stay at cheap motel and NOT the Fairfield experience we are used to.
This Fairfield was very clean and great parking. This location had very friendly staff and good coffee, my only complaint is their Lack of breakfast options. They have someone there serving you to go food, but nothing hot. If youre going to have someone there, why not offer a full breakfast. They had Large parking area in the front and even a taco truck on site. I would stay again if Im in town.
We stayed at this hotel for a family wedding. They graciously accomodated our large crowd. We spread out throughout the hotel and used the entire place. The kids loved the small but beautiful pool. The shuttle service to the wedding venue was the best!! A great option at a great price. I stayed with Marriott Bonvoy points. Love it!
I was booked at the Hampton inn in Bourne, after I got there the hotel had a bad odor and TV’s were not working. I reported it to manager who did not help. So I called the Fairfield Inn and spoke to Liz, and they were awesome!!! The rooms were clean, and the customer service was top notch. I highly recommend staying there over other hotels in the area. They care, they are helpful, the rooms are clean and it’s one minute from downtown Bourne.
I recently stayed at the Fairfield in Boerne. The hotel was easy to find and was in a great location. It is close to the freeway ( but you could not hear any road noise) for easy coming and going. This hotel is well maintained both inside and out. The staff checked us in quickly and were very personable and friendly. We were even given a choice of floors to stay on. Our room was spacious and well decorated. We had no issues with cleanliness as the room was very clean! We enjoyed the breakfast that was provided. It included choices of fruit, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, to name a few. Plenty of choices for just about anyone! Overall, this was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.
Overall this hotel was very nice. Rooms are large (we stayed in the king suite). The hotel is very clean and well kept. the staff were all very pleasant and professional. Breakfast was very good and a great selection. Only issue I had was maybe parking -- hard to find a spot close up (but we did check in late.) I will definitely book my next trip with this facility and will recommend this to everyone. Thanks for a great nights sleep.
The facilities are a bit dated, but this is in Boerne, TX and everything was clean and relatively well maintained. Service, however, was great. We found that the room we booked was a bit small for two dogs and a baby and they worked to reaccommodate us in a room that more suited our needs.
Front desk staff and management are superb.Bit out of town.Rooms are a bit of an old design, with noisy AC units. Lobby is nice. Breakfast is OK.Lost 2 stars as Housekeeping is appalling. They change sheets only every 4 days, vacuum less and often miss replenishing basic items like toilet rolls. It is a shame that housekeeping lowers the appeal of this hotel.
As a high school band director who frequently travels with a large group of students and parent chaperones (over 160), I highly recommend this location for like-groups headed to the San Antonio area. All aspects of our stay were awesome! From the assistance of the staff with setting up rooms through check-in and check-out, everyone at the property was very pleasant and helpful. The location is quite and convenient to everywhere we needed to go. The free breakfast offered plenty of choices for everyone. We will be back on our next trip to the greater San Antonio area. Thanks to all at this Fairfield for making us feel welcome.
I was first impressed more by the attitude of Monica (who checked us in) than anything else. Not only when we checked in, but while we were around the hotel later in the day. The room and the entire property was clean and very well maintained. Joshua in the breakfast area really busted his pick to keep everything supplied. If youre staying in the area, this property is worth driving a few extra miles for a good bed and overall hotel experience.
Fairfield should be removed from the Marriott suite of hotels. I am a platinum elite member and dont expect something like this hotel. The mattresses here were so old the springs poke you in the back all night. They were really thin and looked like something at a dump. There were holes in the wall where the shower curtain had been repositioned and where a makeup mirror had been (never was replaced). The hotel was super noisy. We were in the top floor but could hear everything in the hotel. The desk clerk was a totally rude slob. He had a shirt on that was dirty and looked like it had been slept in for a week. DO NOT STAY HERE unless you have no other choice.
This hotel has been tastefully renovated. There are some things that couldnt be fixed. Like the size of the rooms. They are small. Things that should have been fixed are the a/c units. The 1st room we were in didnt have working unit. The front desk person attempted to fix it, but by 4 in the morning we couldnt take it anymore and had to move. We were accommodated with a new room with a working a/c. The staff was super friendly, the breakfast was not really very good. More of the watery eggs variety. The beds are hard. All and all we wouldnt go back. The thing we need most out a hotel is comfort and rest. We did not get that.
We lost the brakes on our RV and Boerne Texas was the closest authorized repair center. The original expectation was a 4 hour repair. Then we were told it would need to be over night. The front desk staff was very accommodating. On our way to the dealership the next morning the staff remembered our extended stay and wished us well. We called to extend our stay 2 more nights since there were issues with parts and authorization. The staff made it very easy for us and gave us several suggestions of things to do and see in town so we were not just sitting and worrying. They took a genuine interest in our progress and every attempt to make our unexpected stay pleasant.
This exceptionally clean & quiet hotel is ideally located near I-10 & a short drive from the old downtown of nearby Boerne, as well as nearby restaurants. We enjoyed a retirement group reunion here & they handled our block of room reservations very well. Our room was spotless & comfortable, although be warned, there is no mini-fridge or safe. The front desk staff was helpful with meeting room setup & very friendly. This is also a wonderful site for wedding groups -- very family oriented. We enjoyed it so much, we will hope to return as a couple in the future.
We stayed a whole week to enjoy our first trip to San Antonio. Our room was quiet, clean, newly decorated, and offered a free hot breakfast daily . We were able to go to bed early and sleep in late without any problems from noise. Free coffee and hot chocolate is available 24/7.The hotel has a nice pool and hot spa, laundry facilities, internet, free access to printing out boarding passes, and free parking. You can purchase drinks and snacks round the clock. Our room had a quiet refrigerator and a working iron that didnt burn or stain out clothes. There is a gas station with a Subway within walking distance of the hotel. The town of Boerne is friendly with plenty of shops and eateries. The Riverwalk was wonderful, the town of Fredricksberg has the Admiral Nimitz Museum which would take at least 2-3 days to see it all and was wonderful to better understand World War II history in the Pacific. We were able to visit one of the many caverns, had a delightful guide, and man..... it sure is dark without the flashlights! ....and so many great golf courses! The hotel is central to all these sites with close access to the freeway. The staff is about the friendliness ever- always greeting you with a smile and very helpful with suggestions for sites to see and directions. We will definitely stay at this wonderful hotel on our next visit.
We had a great stay for a weekend wedding of a family member. Breakfast was good and fresh with lots of options. The room was comfortable and the hotel very conveniently located. I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing to stay in the area. The town of Boerne was really cool to. Lots of stuff to do and some great locally owned restaurants. We really had fun.
I would stay at this hotel again. The staff was especially friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but not exceptional. The fruit left much to be desired. Some other breakfast meat than sausage would be good. Very good selection of cereal and bread items. The rooms were very clean - beds a bit hard.
Comfortable and friendly service. Breakfast was OK! Stayed one night and what we received was nice for the value. Beds were comfy, minor noise from interstate. However, my only complaint is there were a few strands of womens hair in the bathroom tub, luckily I had my Lysol wipes and cleaned them up!
First of all, I want to preface this review by saying I’m a Bonvoy Elite Member and have been staying with Marriott for years. This hotel has small cramped rooms, uncomfortable beds and bad service. Ten minutes after being in my room I knew there was no way I could stay there. Of course, they would not refund my room but I’m telling you that it was worth it not to stay here. There are many nicer hotels for the same price or less just a bit north. You’ve been warned.
Despite being right off the highway this property was well apportioned and had a larger hotel feel. The grounds were maintained, lobby area was clean and modern, the staff was friendly and the room also had an up(per) scale look and feel. The jacuzzi worked well (too cold to get in the pool). They were out of hot water early one day but I was told that was because of the city. The complimentary breakfast was filling but just ok. Probably what to expect from hotel like this.
The hotel is very nice. Decent rooms and very nice staff. We had some confusion with getting our room cleaned and having a dog in the room. We posted the sign as instructed but took our dog with us during the day. We did not remove the sign so the room never got cleaned. Plus it was Christmas and we knew only minor service was available. This was a communications problem on both parts.Otherwise, it was a nice stay.
This is one of the worst Fairfields I have been too. Room is just old and unkempt. Walls are dirty and dented, toilet had stains. Tub is nearly disgusting and then I am charged 50 dollars for pet fee yet my dog is cleaner than room. Would not recommend to anyone. My fault for not making advance reservations.
Our stay was an extended one during our relocation. The staff were courteous, professional, and welcoming. They were eager to serve and, by the end of our stay, had become like friends and neighbors to us. The breakfast was always early, which we needed on our schedule. We will definitely encourage friends and family to stay here when they visit.
The staff is always amazingly friendly! Rooms and lobby are super clyean. They really make sure you get taken care of and the location is right off i-10 you cant beat it. Its the only hotel I use in boerne almost weekly and Im never disappointed the front desk workers are always on top of things and great you with awelcoming and helpful pressence, I done times make my reservations by phone and Joshua always friendly and helpful and sets it up quickly faster then online. Recommend this location to anyone visiting boerne.
We are used to staying at choice hotels so it was an unpleasant surprise to find there was no microwave or mini-fridge. There were also minimal choices for breakfast that were milk or grain free. No hard boiled eggs Saturday or Sunday. We also felt sick after waking up each morning using the AC and felt better after being gone all day. Room was also very small. Staff was nice. Hotel was clean. This hotel hires people with disabilities which we LOVE.
To be honest, Im not sure how this hotel has so many good reviews. We arrived and everything was fine until we walked into the room. The stench of mildew and body odor was overwhelming. The hotel offered a second room, but it still smelled of mildew and feet. After the second room, the manager basically threatened us that if we didnt take the third room, we would have to pay the full price for cancellation. So we thought maybe the third time would be the charm. It was on the third floor, and smelled a little better, but only because housekeeping had gone in and sprayed air freshener.Management doesnt know how to handle things. We didnt stay in any of the three rooms for more than 2 minutes. We still had to pay the full price of the stay. The manager said she didnt care that the rooms smelled even when another employee said it smelled. She said that she already had our credit card on file so she was just going to run it.We had our children with us. We werent going to stay in a place that could potentially make them sick. It took more than 10 minutes just to get a copy of the receipt. Ridiculous. Its completely not up to Marriotts standards. I do not recommend this place to anyone with a family or who cares about their health. The hotel management is telling some fiction to make themselves look better. We were actually planning on staying in Boerne to take our kids to Cascade Caverns and then to Cibolo Trails. Your service and hotel turned us off completely. We called Marriott to let them know about our situation. They booked us at The Westin Riverwalk because they said they didnt have any closer affiliates to Boerne. We stayed on the Riverwalk as a gesture of good faith to Marriott. This just shows how well you pay attention to your guests, as I had stated during initial check in that this was our plan.
Rooms were moist smelling which was unpleasant. Nice hot tub but closes early. Staff is adamant about the closing time for the hot tub and pool which is frustrating compared to other hotels Ive been to. Walking distance to a gas station if you need to pick up snacks, etc.
I would not recommend this facility. When we checked in the A/C was leaking and the carpet was wet and smelled. We checked in at 4:30 p.m. and had to wait until the next day to get maintenance to fix the problem. In checking, the baseboard by the A/C was wet and molded showing that this had been a long-time problem. We were there for a wedding and the hotel was completely booked. At breakfast the next morning it was a nightmare. They had only 1 waffle maker and a short breakfast bar so people were stepping over each other trying to fix their breakfast. It looks like when they know they are going to have a large group they should make other accommodations.
My check-in experience was ok. When I went to my room. He first thing I notice is the horrible noise the AC was making but I was to tired to ask for a different room. He hotel has been renovated and the overall look is very modern but the mattresses are old. I Did not get any rest on those old noisy mattress. Water all over the carpet from the AC. Furniture is old for the modern look. I was really disappointed with the breakfast. There was no coffee available. What? No coffee??? They offered poor selection of food items for the price I paid it was absurd. Never again will I stay here.
Overall this location was very nice. Close to everything and the staff are very accommodating. I will definitely be staying at this location in the future. The negative: Need to provide enough toiletries for guest staying in the room. And the breakfast omelette and scrambled eggs were not very good.
We called the week before to confirm we would be able to get late checkout (2PM) and based our plans as such. When we checked in, we were told it was uncertain regardless of what we had been told previously and would have to ask the day of check out. The morning of our check out, the front desk granted our 2PM late check out and we went on our way. When we returned to the hotel around 11AM, we found that neither of our keys could unlock the room itself (even though we had late check out AND it was not even at the normal 12PM check out time yet). We had to get our key reprogrammed and was only able to do 1 as my boyfriend was in the restroom and it had to be done at the same time. In the end it all worked out but having to get my key reprogrammed and confirming late check out when had already called was annoying.
We were in Boerne for a wedding with most everyone staying at the hotel. Everything was very neat and clean on the entire property. Rooms were ready when we arrived and were very clean. Despite our large group, breakfast food was maintained and never ran out. The only drawback is that the pool closes at 9pm. We would like to have had access for socializing area.
I come to Boerne once a month to visit my father, who is in the late stage of Alzheimer. The Staff is truly amazing, knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast area is always clean, and well stock with a variety of breakfast foods. Pet friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable.
I had a poor experience for the money staying at this location for just one night while driving through town. Rooms were surely up charged due to season . Room smelled. Not very nice at all Ive stayed in nicer hotels in California for around $150 less per night. We were put in a room behind the elevator which made for unwanted noise and fright for my 3 year old. Was hot on the 2nd floor like the a/c didnt work. Room was definetly out of date and small. Would never stay here again. Only stayed here cause it was about the only hotel that looked decent in a 50 mile range after 15 hours of non stop driving and was pretty much forced to pay a insane peice for a poor experience
Excellent welcome at the property! The staff was very welcoming, attentive, professional and caring. The lobby was immaculate and kept with great attention to detail. The room is clean and very well maintained. Thank you! By far the best Fairfield Inn experience in decades.
Not many people there the night we stayed which was great. I wasnt woke up by slamming doors, stomping in the room above us or people running down the hallway. We had the pool all to ourselves that evening & it was clean. Room was quiet & clean. The suite provided plenty of room for the kids. I just wish the beds were more comfortable is my only complaint. Staff was very nice & helpful.
As I said before the staff went way above in trying to help us all. The only reason the other items were less than a 10 was because they were not available. The food was limited, the tv was come and go, the power was come and go. The staff did the very best they could with a lousy situation. They should be commended.
Stayed here for a business trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The rooms were very clean and kept up everyday! There were a lot of breakfast options daily and the food was good. Theres a movie theatre right next store as well as helpful staff that guides us to some great food in town.
We enjoyed our experience. Staff very helpful and friendly. Especially Alyssa, she overhears I needed to charge my cell phone and let me borrow her charger. She went above and beyond in my opinion. Breakfast was good and the room clean. I would recommend doing this hotel.
We had a really rough day. Karin must have noticed this when I booked with her over the phone. She was so friendly that by the time I was done checking in, it seemed like our bad day never happened. She was our angle. The entire staff made us feel at home. The room was amazing. In my bed at home I wake up twice a night but in the Fairfield Inn Boerne I slept like a baby. Thank you Karin, Bailey, & the GM. Yall run an amazing hotel!
Our stay was enjoyable from the very beginning the entire time we were there. He had checked out and drove about 10 miles when our daughter got sick. We called the hotel and Logan had said come back and get cleaned up. And had crackers and some sprite to settle her stomach for her that made a long journey a lot shorter thank you
I travel with my 92 year old mother and handicap accommodations are the most important to me when I choose a hotel. Among the many problems weve encountered, having a bed or a toilet that is too high are my mothers biggest challenges. This was not the case at Fairfield in Boerne, Texas. They thought of everything in the design of our wheelchair accessible room. An extra bonus was that there was plenty of space between our two beds and in the pathway to the restroom. My mother was able to easily navigate her wheelchair in the room. I highly recommend this hotel if you need handicap accommodations. The room even had assistance for hard of hearing. We loved our stay at Fairfield.
Thank you to the management for helping me with providing a cost efficient room for my mother to stay for her great-grand daughters 1st birthday. When I explained that I was paying for the room and that I was a teacher with a fixed income, they worked hard to lower the price so I could afford the room. My family lives in the sub-division right behind the hotel, so it was convenient to have my mother stay there. They even allowed me to check her in early (even though she wasnt in town yet) so that she didnt have to do anything when she arrived but go to her room. They went above and beyond to ensure my mothers stay was special!
We were part of a wedding party. Never been in this area. Made reservations, got sick day before our arrival date. I called to say i was ill. Super nice and understanding lady named Carrin..might have it misspelled, but she was there and understood my situation. The next day called me to say that the hotel would not charge a stay because they would rather us stay put instead of spreading illness. Ive NEVER had that kinda of kindness. We end of coming to hotel and everything is so nice. Two thumbs up and we will be back. Thank you for caring. It still matters.
The staff was great: effective and friendly. Great continental breakfast for what I used to know about Fairfield Inn!! But the location was not thought out. I did not have a car and dinner was not a good experience (not the fault of FFI) as I had the worst pizza delivered to me from Pizza Hut.
Typical Fairfield amenities. Good breakfast variety, clean rooms, very comfortable beds, lobby and breakfast area comfortable for gathering. We were there for a wedding and hotel was very well set up for visiting. Not much around the hotel for sightseeing, but reasonably convenient to San Antonio and Boerne had some nice restaurants. What made this hotel special was the staff. They couldnt have been more friendly and accommodating.
We booked the Fairfield Inn for our wedding and wedding party. We are also dog people so all 3 dogs in tote...While the hotel is dog friendly, dogs should not be left alone and this was going to be problematic with all of the pre-wedding festivities. The front desk staff was so helpful and went out of their way to get someone to watch our dogs while we went to the rehersal dinner so we could relax and enjoy. Monica was so kind to our 14 yr old pup and he was as happy as a clam to be by her side. Carlene offered to dog sit our 2 mini schnauzers and they could not have been in sweeter hands. Overall, we are grateful for the customer service and so glad we selected Fairfield Inn for our entire wedding party.
Room smelled like someone had smoked cigarettes in but they tried to cover it up, noticed other reviews talked about bad smells as well. Drain in bathtub was broken, Handel to change water temperature fell off when used. Staff was friendly. Would not recommend. Ive been in many Marriotts but this one stood out as pretty bad.
Very disappointed in the room. Socket in the bathroom is coming out of the wall so I will not be able to use my curling iron to fix my hair for the wedding and feel it is safe. The trash cans are missing liners in the bedroom. One of the dark out curtains is coming off the rod so I didnt close them as I wasnt sure if it would come down making it difficult to sleep. Dead bug in the bathroom floor. Fold down seat in the bathtub is grungy so my husband and I wont do our sit down shower that we desire to get ready.
Conveniently located minutes off interstate 10. Property is always clean, small fitness center and good breakfast with many healthy choices too. Fast, reliable internet and flat screen tvs with great channel selections. Only 4 minutes to great downtown Boerne and its many great dining options. Pre check in makes arrival easier. Staff is attentive to any special requests and always greet me with a smile.
I will say that Marriott is trying to compete but this is ridiculous. Yes, it is a nice location and the staff are sweet but it is horribly overpriced. Corporate has bent to consumer demand to take in pets but you have to pay extra ($50.00) unlike their competitors down the road. The suites are tiny. Ours smelled moldy and musty. If I had another choice, I would not stay here.
The staff at the front desk were a bunch of space cadets that were always on the phone when you needed their help like when I was checking in to try to get my room....kinda important. They would apologize and say that they were talking to their manager. I found it kind of strange that the manager would call that often and one girl mentioned that the manager was a little crazy. My company rented the conference room the next day and upon arrival we discovered that the air conditioner was not working in there. The staff was aware and did have someone there quickly to come fix it. But it was an inconvenience to be talking over blowing fans the whole time. My room was decently clean but I did find huge white stains on the chair so I didnt know what that was about. Breakfast was good as usual but why oh why Fairfield do you have such hard beds?????????
I have stayed at Marriott in the past and was fairly satisfied. This hotel was very conveniently located for our stay. Immediately upon entering the room I was disappointed. The room did not smell clean. Frankly, I suspected the bedding. The a/c was down low and this gave a feeling of dampness to the entire room. Something bit me while I slept the first night.
This is probably my first hotel review, and Im afraid it will not be a good one. Me and my family were driving back from Houston to Las Cruces, NM and decided to stop at this hotel which we normally do when heading back from work in Houston. We checked in and since the kids were falling asleep, we decided to stay in the room and planned on waking up early to continue on. We had breakfast and left. No problems until this point, other that the A/C was really noisy and didnt keep the room temperature as we wouldve liked. I just came to find out that the charged an extra $50.00 for damages to the room after we checked out without notifying me. I spoke to the manager and she is the person with the least amount of customer service skills I have dealt in the U.S. IN A LONG, LONG time. She said that she didnt care of what my version of the story was, and that the housekeeping lady had found a crayon and crayon marks on the sheets. We certainly didnt do it and have no way to prove it... Needless to say, this Fairfield ... And Maybe Marriott, just lost a loyal customer over $50.00...
Sometimes its the most troublesome points that show how great people can be. As I pulled in from Dallas, I noticed a sound coming from my car. Upon discovering the problem, 300-miles from home and my tools, I asked an employee named Alfonso where the nearest Audi dealership was, and if he knew of any mobile mechanics. He got the keys to the hotels MB S-Class and drove me to the dealership to get the needed replacement part. Then he took me to OReilly to get contact info for 3 mobile mechanics in the area. I say Alfonso and the rest of the team were courteous and professional because the English language doesnt give us words strong enough to describe how awesome they are! I could tell that everyone I spoke to at the hotel genuinely cared about the issue I was having. From diagnosis to complete repair of my car was under 3 hours; thanks almost entirely to Alfonso and the Fairfield teams commitment to take care of their guests. Great job, yall!
I would highly recommend staying at this hotel! The staff was so friendly and accommodating while the amenities and location are excellent. We especially enjoyed the wide assortment of options offered for their continental breakfast and the cheery breakfast staff really set the tone each morning for the rest of our day!
Amazing Service! We just stayed at the Fairfield and I cant say enough good things about the service. The room was also clean and the bedding nice. We had a dead car battery on the 2nd day, and someone from the hotel took my son to his golf tournament so he wouldnt be late. Another employee then helped to jump my car. When I noticed I had a very low tire, I was guided to a tire shop down the road and 20 minutes and $15 later, the nail was removed from my tire and the tire fixed. I got early checkin and late checkout and the breakfast was great. What more could you ask for?
Service was good, staff was very friendly, but the hotel is way overpriced. The window AC unit was very loud, the bed was not comfortable and the room has a strong, musty smell. We normally stay at Marriott hotels but I would drive 4 minutes south and stay at La Quinta instead. Disappointing.
Very nice personal. Flower beds could use some attention. Movie theater on one side gas station on the other. All you could ask for. Few minutes away from the shops and whatnot. Garmin takes you down the interstate access road, but there is a road that runs parallel that is much better.
We stayed in this hotel the first time we already Had an issue with the ac not working second time our room key locked we had to wait until they fixed it the employee offered to give us a free stay and then the manager Liz called us and told us that was not possible and did not want to hear what we had to say about the issues we had. We have had nothing but problems staying here will not be coming back.
We stayed here for a cousin’s destination wedding. We were given a warm welcome by staff, and had a chance to mingle with family. We enjoyed an amazing dinner and shopping in downtown Boerne. We were very pleased with our stay and are looking forward to visiting Boerne again.
I always stay in a Marriott hotel and I have never been disappointed. Fairfield use to really be at the bottom of the list but with their new decor I have moved them up to be equal to a Courtyard. They also have free breakfast. Not everyone likes the eggs and turkey sausage but a bowl of cereal and fruit cant be beat.
Was very pleased the location was pet friendly, I was able to bring my little Pekingese, Buttercup--- she had a great time --- my stay was unremarkable- the bed was too stiff and the room was very noisy-- it was located in close proximity to the elevator and I could hear people meandering through the hallway at all hours--- so much so that I had to use ear plugs to sleep. The hotel could stand to beautify the drainage ditch running behind it as well- maybe a 6 cedar fence or wall? IDKI will likely stay here again as my company holds their annual conference in this area and the rates and availability here are generally reasonable
We stay at Marriott Fairfield or Residence Inn all the time and it is always our first choice. This particular location was not well kept to Marriotts standard. More importantly, the front desk staffs need some customer service training. I was over hearing the hotel staff talking to the customers and it was not very professional and you would not talk to your paying customers in that manner. This didnt happen to us but another guest right in front of us.
Two separate rooms in two days and the same damn issue with the AC units. The fan continuously runs but the actually AC only turns on for a minute before shutting off. The room never cools off! It is just a dumb move to save money by the hotel in one of the hottest and most humid spots in the country! It is tpugh to sleep in these conditions. Go to Hampton inn if you want a good nights rest.
We had many out of town guests for a wedding in Boerne and were pleased with the services and accommodations at Fairfield. The staff was great, They helped make a stressful weekend less stressful. If you book a wedding block, have your guests register early so that you can block additional rooms. I would have liked to have all of our guests here but by the time we filled our block no additional rooms were available.
Let me begin to tell you how my experience has been at this pleasant hotel over the last 3 years. I have been traveling through out the u.s.many years from staying a 5 star hotels to no star hotels, I have found that this place has provided the best comfort ,pleasant stay almost close to home. There has not been a stay where i can say nothing other than the most positive comments and feed back tothe public and future tenants.. i highly recommend this place 110%...thanks,carlosyamaha fun center customer
I am a United States Government employee and I had a little trouble getting the discount for my room. I was not with my husband during his travels, but I did make the all the reservations for him. He had just left me (I am stationed at a Government Facility in Mississippi) and was driving home to New Mexico. During his trip towards Mississippi, we were always extended the Government discount by all the hotels my husband stayed at. When I called to book the reservation in Boerne, I advised the person at the front desk (In Boerne) that I was a Government employee and that my husband carried proof of eligibility. No other hotel had any issue with this method of showing eligibility EXCEPT Marriott. It was not until I got a little short with the gal before she granted me the discount. Upon arrival of my husband to the hotel, he presented proof of eligibility and there was no additional issues.
Stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Boerne while attending a wedding. Hotel is well kept, rooms very clean, and a very hospitable staff always looking to accomadate you during your stay. I have stay here every time Ive but to Boerne, which is many and have never been disappointed. Would recommend to all!
I have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed the stay. The 2nd time around was not a pleasant stay. While we were sleeping, my sister was stung in the face by a scorpion at 3 am. Needless to say we did not sleep the rest of our stay. I told the front desk clerk and she asked why we had not contacted at that time. Well lets see are you going to move us to another room, where there might be a possibility of another scorpion. I never heard from the manager regarding the situation. I will never stay at this hotel again. Thanks for being concerned
Loved! Mobile check-in and out, free upgrade to a suite by the manager, front desk staff was so happy, pool looked clean, not many guests so it was super quiet and not crowded, parking was well lit, rooms are new/comfortable/clean and best part was the tasty fresh eggs, sausage and fruit for breakfast! Great value for the reasonable price.
Decided to try Fairfield Inn, I was not completely impressed with the cleanness of the room. Every morning I made sure to notify front desk staff, asked for GM and still no response. Bathroom Shower curtain was stained and bed sheets were not changed. I dont need to know about housekeeping staff shortages, AMC
Just want a needed at the price I wanted! Though I wish it was just a little bigger it was still great. I was in a King Suite. Due to the location of the TVs, when the TV in the master bedroom was being adjusted, it also adjusted the one in the other room - to the frustration of the children. However, it was GREAT to have a little privacy from the kids and I would not want to change that.
I knew ahead of time what the cost per room was. But, we stayed there because we were in Boerne for a wedding and this hotel was where the majority of family was staying. One person in our party travels for business frequently and had a free room. So everyone else stayed there also.Apparently, the cost per room was high because this hotel did not have a lot of customers.
I would have given you an enthuastic 10 however, I stayed for this visit and the jacuzzi was broken. Two weeks later, I sent my husband to stay there (Eldon Hoover) and the jacuzzi was STILL BROKEN.Come on folks, get the jacuzzi fixed. This is an ammenity that is part of my room cost (rate). It is importantthat, if you advertise that you have a pool and jacuzzi, they should be working.
Finding Marriotts that allow dogs is a problem, even though I am a 20 years plus rewards member. My experience is you usually get treated poorly with a dog, if you can find a hotel at all. This one was different as I was able to get a get good nights sleep, dog included.
We were traveling on the busy Thanksgiving week, and made a side trip from Dallas to Boerne, just north of San Antonio. After a long and stressful 4 hour drive from Dallas, we had a wonderful and relaxing experience at this Hotel. We recomend them to anyone traveling in the San Antonio area. They have great access off the I 10 Freeway. Thanks for your Hospitality.
I would absolutely recommend Fairfield Inn in Boerne, TX. Ive stayed several times and it is quiet, convenient and clean with a great and receptive staff. It also happens to have a very receptive and accomodating General Manager (Hilary) who I greatly enjoyed interacting with during several visits and who really made me feel at home. Highly recommended!
This is the first time I stayed at this hotel and i was highly disappointed. Upon arrival at any Marriott i always ask for a complimentary water. Well, here the receptionist straight up told me no with a smirk on her face. When I entered the room the furniture was scratched up and dinghy. The carpet and couches were stained, dust everywhere, and the bed sheets had not been washed.
We stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites San Antonio Boerne when we have business and recreation plans in the area. The hotel is bright, clean, modern and very conveniently located to the Boerne/La Cantera area outside of San Antonio. The staff is friendly, professional and helpful. Would highly recommend for couples and/or families.

2022-03-31Stayed at this location for the first time. Front desk folks were very courteous, pleasant and helpful. The hotel and the room seemed well-maintained. However, I wont quite give them 5 stars for a couple of reasons: room seemed smaller compared to other locations & rooms arent soundproofed well (you may find it amiss especially due to the busy 410).

2022-01-15Kind. Friendly. Courteous employee at the desk at check in. Clean entry area. Lacks attention to detail in the room. DUSTY!!! Shower head need to be descaled. Water still left in Iron. Need was a bit uncomfortable for me. The water had a high chlorine smell for me and I was itching for a couple hours after my shower. Nice lady serving breakfast.

2022-03-25I made a reservation and have tested positive for covid. I called 3 days in a row and finally got a hold of the General Manager as they said only she could approve my cancellation as I pre-paid for it. Marriott has a 24 hour cancellation policy and as I am writing this review it is still outside 24 hours and have been calling for 3 days trying to get a hold of the General Manager. She told me she didnt care I had covid and tested positive but wouldnt be refunding my reservation. I told her it wasnt fair that I am positive to come up there and expose myself to her and her staff and other guests and she said she didnt care. The business is stating that they are covid safe and taking pre-cautions is a lie. The fact that they want to expose everyone for cancelling a reservation well over 24 hours in advance over one room rate is very alarming. I stay at Marriott everywhere I go and this business shouldnt be labeled as a Marriott if thats how they care about their staff and customers. Shame on the General Manager.

2022-02-23The carpet had 2 recent pee stains and the headboard had grease stains! We took pictures to the front desk and the receptionist said I will let the supervisor know!!! It was disgusting but it was 2 am and we just didnt have the energy to leave after 5 hrs of driving. The supervisor called after we had left the next morning and would not listen to our complain and was just talking over my husband. We will never go back, new owners, and new management they are as disgusting as what they offer!

2022-06-06Clean rooms and they allow dogs which is a plus. Staff were friendly and efficient. Will stay again if passing through the area.*Tv was on the small side and hard to watch from the bed.

2022-05-30Meh, not worth what they want to charge for sure. Rooms are small. Nothing special about it. Looks dated. Got this room because we had free gift card. Would not pay full price to stay here.

2022-06-12The sweet front desk girl made our stay wonderful. This place is the most accommodating in boerne. They all rock.

2021-12-02The hotel was a little older but still very clean. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had everything in working order. A Ice machine was on our floor. We were given the small shampoo bottles and bar soap for showering. The room also had a small refrigerator and microwave as well as coffee station. Parking is free for guest and there is a gas station almost directly across the street which was a plus. The lobby also had a small market with drinks and snacks. I would definitely recommend!

2021-10-21I had a great stay at this property. Hotel may be a little older but the staff is top notch and the rooms are clean! Super friendly front desk took the time to give me recommendations of places to go eat and things to do. The breakfast was awesome and the rooms were clean. Will definitely be my go to place to stay in Boerne. Well done Marriott.

2021-09-16I was traveling through TX with my fur baby. Booking and check in were both effortless. The property sits just off of the I-10 frontage road. Right next door is a movie theater and a gas station/convenience store. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. As a female traveling solo, I felt safe. Will stay again if ever in the area.
