Front office staff was very rude and unhelpful. I went in for a routine wellness exam and wanted to get my results, for which they wanted me to pay an office visit fee for, even though the wellness exam was fully covered with my insurance. I informed them that I didn’t want an appointment, simply for my results to be given to me, even if by phone or email. They said that if I didn’t want to pay, then I would have to wait until the doctor eventually got around to verifying my results and then they would call me regarding the results. Still waiting. Tried calling five times, kept getting a “Sorry, the number you called is busy” message. Definitely not returning.
The front staff is very rude and inefficient. They almost make it seem as if they purposely take long to pull up your chart and process you but only take two seconds to charge you. I’ve waited as long as two hours just waiting for the ladies in front to process me. The staff in the back is great and,The only reason we have gone back. Had the back staff (PAs, MAs, and lab techs) not been there we wouldn’t come any longer. I feel the front staff should have more training or hire new people who know how an office properly runs.
For weeks I’ve been trying to get an appointment, and every time I call I get the same, rather rudely might I add, line: “let me check this and I’ll call you back” days became weeks and no call back nor a voice message. I call again after a month and they say the same thing. I guess maybe one day in 2030 or 2040 if this establishment still stands I’ll get my appointment. But it’s never their fault, it’s always something on my end, if even one small space is left blank and not an “N/A” they won’t get it. Truly preposterous to wait a month with no word to say one space was left blank and now it’s unobtainable and well good luck try again next month.
Worst service ever. It is understood that these times are busier and stressful for all of us, however, these times call for better customer service as people are worried sick about this virus. Personnel answering phones is extremely rude and placed us on hold while we were explaining. Test came back negative, but work is requiring a release form. Twice we have been on hold for over 45 minutes each time and the staff is just horrible and not helpful at all. We have never felt so disgusted with service in our life. Now is the time to be a little nicer and reset wait time when it’s going to take longer than usual. I hope the owner of this place reads this to see how these people are running it to the ground. Very disappointed and will not recommend to anyone ever.
ZERO STARS Rudest front staff anywhere. Called for a consult with Mr. Moreno. Front staff said they would have to talk to Dr. Garza before being given an appt. Staff called back and said that because I transferred out I cannot be seen again. If you go to another Dr. You cant come back here? You are denying me medical care because I went to another doctor. Im sure thats quite legal. I went to another Dr. Because the last time I was in your office, your staff was very rude when I was so sick I could barely sit up. Yet I was kept waiting for 2 hours while the hamburgers were on the grill. I should have my head examined for even thinking of coming back. Dr. Garza never even spoke to us for the 8 years we went to her practice. Pretty sure there are much better practices all over the valley. Odd. Read the another review below. That patient came back even after dealing with rude staff. Guess they lied to me.
Went in on a Thursday, was assured they would take care of any pre-authorization needed for my prescription(which they have failed to do a couple times and I’ve had to pay out of pocket).I checked with my pharmacy on Friday and they informed me they sent family first the notice for authorization Thursday afternoon and had not heard back. I called and was put on hold for about 15 minutes and was then asked to leave a message for the person reasonable for calling in the authorization. I left my number and the number for the insurance company authorization line. I never heard back, and the prescription went unfulfilled for the weekend.I called pharmacy and insurance company on Monday and was informed again neither had heard from Family First. I left another message for the person responsible.Tuesday morning rolls around and same story from pharmacy and insurance. I call Family first and was out on hold for 15 minutes. I hang up, call back, and also put on hold for 15 minutes. Hang up, call back and at this point I am very irritated and politely as possible explain my situation again. Instead of walking to the back and getting either the person responsible for calling the insurance company, getting on of the PAs, or getting the Doctor to make a five minute phone call to get a patient a prescription, the woman on the phone rudely said “well, what do you want me to do?”She then goes on to tell me it takes several days for a pre-authorization. I’ve already spoken to the insurance company who informed me it takes 5-10 minutes on the prescription line for them to handle it(the number I left several times with the Family First). I inform her that is not the case and even if it was the case, the insurance company has zero communication with them about my prescription. So, what do I want them to do? Just take a few minutes and do the job they are paid for. Make sure their patients get the prescriptions they need. After all, they are a healthcare provider. The PA’s here are great when I go in for my appointments. But as soon as I leave, the patient support is absolutely horrible. Thankfully this prescription isn’t for something more serious, as I would have been without it almost a week, because someone is too lazy or too terrible at their job to follow up.I’d give them a zero for customer service if I could.
This office has some of the rudest people I ever met! They made my mother wait 2 hours to see the doctor and when it was their mistake for not getting her paper work were rude and said she could not see the doctor! My mother was left crying in a back room until another nurse ordered her out of the room and said Dr.Garza says to find a new doctor she does not want to see you again. What kind of office is this. To treat patients in the manner is ridiculous! I would not recommend this office to anyone!
Staff is horrible! They have so much attitude and not willing to help. If they are unable to finish your paperwork the day of the visit they will take forever to do it after. They just see you as a paycheck nothing else. Horrible horrible staff. The PAs are amazing those to bad that isnt enough to make ppl want to come back.
Getting a Rx filled for something as simple as heart burn medicine is like pulling teeth they make you come in every three months for mandatory blood work and you pay a copay when you come in . Then they make you come back for results and you pay a copay and they make you do this every time you need a Rx refill. They keep refills hostage so you have no choice. Ive never been to a doctors office that does this. They are money hungry and we wait over an hour almost every time. They dont return phone calls nor care.
This woman is the rudest doctor I have ever encountered! Her office made a terrible error with my mothers paperwork and rather than accept responsibility for it; she had three male nurses go into my mothers room to kick her out. These three men yelled at my mother until she cried. Dr. Garza then instructed the men to tell her she wad no longer welcome there. THIS WAS ALL BECAUSE OF A MISTAKE BY HER OFFICE! Beware before going to this terrible doctor and please share this experience with your friends and family.

2022-06-13This office has the worst front office staff! No empathy, consideration for their patients. Called for a phone appointment because I tested positive for Covid, only to be placed on hold for 20mins! Then when I called back to attempt to schedule, they told me I’d be called later that day, only to call back & find out, I was scheduled until a day later! When asked if they could find a way to squeeze me in, they tell me no, “sorry, we have a be system & we’re full.” This office is a joke! DO NOT GO HERE! They only care for your money, not your health!

2021-01-18Ive been attending this place for close to two years and its been an experience. Miss Sandy and Juli are wonderful and so have been the nurses. They have made me comfortable and are the best at lab work and make sure Im okay when they are taking my blood work. My main issue here is the front desk. Ive had multiple instances where the own receptionists dont know if Im there for a follow up or labs (even after I tell them) and have had me wait more than an hour until I brought it to their attention. During these COVID-19 times it is very understandable that the phone line gets busy and its hard to get through but every single time I do get through, I get cut off mid sentence to be placed on a hold that last at least 10 minutes and they proceed to hang up on me and this exact scenario has happened when Im trying to check into my appointment. Ive also had the receptionist be really rude to be and question as to whether I really have to be seen in person over a medical issue Im having. They are also really rude to their own nurses when they are just trying to complete their job. I really wish they would bring this up to their attention because a patient who is seeking help doesnt need a rude individual to make snarky remarks or make it impossible to attend their appointment.

2021-04-09I never write reviews, but in this case, I will. Dr. Leroy and Dr. Juli are the PAs I usually see. I am sure the rest of the PAs are just as great. When they give you an appointment, you go in right on time. The office staff is friendly and accommodating. The nurses who draw your blood are sensitive to your anxiety and talk you through it. Dr. Juli and Dr. Leroy take their time and treat you like family. I feel so comfortable and well taken care of during my appointments. I recommend this medical office and rate them as highly professional.

2021-10-11I love my P.A but I am totally disappointed with the front staff. My mom suffers from high blood pressure and has problems remembering g things she went 8. For her blood labs and forgot to ask for temporary pills till she saw Julie and tht blond lady in the front I hope she never feels sick mong other staff members tell her she should know better tht she needs to ask ahead of time, these people have no compassion for people, we love Julie but Im seriously thinking of looking for a doctor whom actually cares for their patients and staff tht have social skills.

2020-11-30I definitely do not understand the low reviews. My first time here I felt like I was treated like family and not just a number. I got my first covid test here and yes I did wait an hour but I didnt feel rushed. I ended up having some sort of stomach bug, they prescribed anti biotics and I felt better within two days. I may make this place my primary care provider. Thank you Dr. Garza and staff.

2021-02-01I have been a patient for at least 3 years. Even though I had some bad experiences every time I went (lab procedures and scheduling), I always decided to give this clinic another chance because my husband never had any issues. But I think enough is enough. The issue today was their cancelation policy. I tried canceling my appointment over 24 hours ago but they never answered my calls, and they strictly state in their voicemail not to leave messages regarding cancelations. I am a very busy healthcare worker so I only have limited time to make phone calls during work. I tried calling again on my day of the appointment and explained but they still went ahead and charged the cancelation fee.

2021-01-26Horrible Place to visit. They charge $100 for FMLA. I requested my blood work and EKG. They stated everything costs $25 and everything belongs to the Dr. So they are not releasing if I do not pay. If I did not request it at my visit. They will not release it without paying. Horrible doctor office. I would avoid this place if you can go to another Dr. office. If I could give this place lower than 1 star. The PA told me that I would have a telemed visit for blood work the next day. They did not call me. Now the lady at the front said, that is not true what the PA said.

2020-06-29Dr. Garza and her staff are fantastic! Sure, sometimes you have to wait a while but they are a very busy clinic. Most of the time my wait time is very short. The doctors and nurses care a great deal about their patients and I love everyone who works there! Thank you for taking such good care of myself and my family!
