Let me begin by saying there is no such thing as the perfect establishment, but the reason for this review is the frequency the order errors keep occurring, and managements failure to correct the attention to detail.On August 13, 2022 my family and I ordered from the Chick-Fil-A on De Zavala. The staff was friendly as they delivered our order at the drive through. We took what we assumed was our correct order and drove home. To my part I should have checked the order before leaving, but did not. Lesson learned. Once we arrived home I realized we were only given a small fraction of our order and were charged over $40 for the order.My family and I returned to the Chick-Fil-A with the incorrect order to the establishment and I had a conversation with the manager on duty. The manager to his credit was respectful, polite, and promptly not only corrected the mistake but also added some brownies to the order due to the error on the part of the staff.At this point some may be asking why the two star review....The reason for the low rating is because although I had the order corrected this time there have been several instances in which my family and I have ordered from this location and have not received our entire order. This error is just the straw that broke the camels back in terms of addressing the less than stellar service. Chick-Fil-A as a business is known for great and friendly service. This particular Chick-Fil-A location although the staff is very well trained in customer interaction has continuously provided less than the standard of service that has come to be expected from the Chick-Fil-A brand.
This place is not great. Every time I get the chicken Nuggets they taste like they have been sitting out for a while and are stale or hard. Their chicken is sometimes not fully cooked especially when they get long lines because they are trying to get everyone out of there. My family got sick after eating here last week. Will never go back to this location again.
Whoever was taking orders this morning was awful. They took a long time to get my order for a medium fry and looked at me stupid when I asked for a bunch of chick fil a sauce(b/c they gave me 2 with my 40 count yesterday. I also did not receive one smile, or “my pleasure”
I will start by saying we LOVE Chick-Fil-A (CFA). Every CFA restaurant we go to provides outstanding customer service. But, the CFA off De Zavala blew away our expectations! The Manager (Justin) warmly greeted our family upon arrival, and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. He ensured our food order met (and exceeded) our expectations. We also observed Justin helping his team out with any and all tasks (to include drink refills) to make sure the customers were served promptly. I was very impressed.Patrico was also super friendly and helpful. It was evident that this CFA truly valued quality food and customer service. I could not speak more highly of Justin and his team at the De Zavala Chick Fil A!
Absolute worst Chick-fil-A Ive ever been to. Sadly this is the one closest to where I work and live but its the last one I would ever choose to go to: they turn the app ordering off for their location most of the time, they still dont have the lobby open even just to do pick up orders so your only option is the drive-thru, theyll cone off one of the two entrances to the lot which leaves the only entrance being the most difficult one to get to with a vehicle when its busy,, and then if you do the drive-thru Lane its a toss-up whether you choose the lane that actually gets paid attention to or not.I absolutely hate this Chick-fil-A, and when the other locations are streamlining their ordering service this one chooses things that make it awful.
The worst experience I have ever had at a chick fil a. I ordered on the app for drive thru no one ever came to my window to ask me about my order and when I get to the window they don’t even have my order when the appShows it’s completed and clearly shows head to the drive thru so I had to wait over 30 minutes for a sandwich and fries like wow
Drive-thru took over 30 minutes, and their drive-thru line is ALWAYS a traffic hazard for Dezavala Road. I had placed a mobile order, no curbside service was available and their lobby is still closed. This location was VERY disorganized, the left lane moved TEN cars faster and that’s just crazy. Food order was inaccurate, I asked for EXTRA pickles and received NO pickles at all!!!!! I will not be returning to this location. ~Called to speak with management and they will be replacing my order next time I go~will update when I go back, if I go back…~ Update: Same time of day, the drive-thru was moving much quicker on BOTH sides this time. They replaced my order but STILL messed up on one sandwich-it was from someone else’s order, a sandwich with no pickles again when I asked for extra. I appreciate that they replaced the order but I won’t be back to that location again. I have been a chick-fil-customer my entire life and never had a bad experience, and now this location has messed up twice in a row.
Thanks to the owner of this restaurant location, as an Uber-eats & Doordash delivery person! We especially want to thank you for all of our customers for not making us wait in long drive-trus as other locations do. This shows your karismatic side in the consideration these customers orders are already placed ahead for a reason. And acknowledging they also pay more for the product in this manner. At the Austin Hwy Chick-Fil-A we wait 20-30 minutes for every order as if it isnt placed in system until drivers arrive. Shameful treatment as if this means they ordered ahead for what and management/owner doesnt card. Most drivers loose also due to this inconsiderate. So hats off 👏 to you and your staff sir for helping all customers considered needs being met in this fair and timely manner. 👍 Making your location stand for the representation Chick-fil-A meant to stand up in the industry gloriously seen. I just came to this location and asked for a parfait with granola. The parfait had half the yogurt when I asked the lady to replace or add more she refused even ask the team lead. If your going to rip people off don’t do it this way. I’m writing to corporate next. Not coming back to this place but please don’t steal the money from the customer. Replace management and operator. Congrats on bad customer service and congrats on 1 star service
Don’t expect fast service. Every single time I’ve come to this location, it’s been incredibly slow. 20 cars have passed me (I counted) in the left lane as I’ve waited to make it to the employee to even place my order. Save time and energy and go to the location at the Rim.
Im done with this Chick Fila. Literally watched 2 employees going thru my food bag for several minutes making sure everything was in there. Problem is-- NO MASKS and the food counter at the drive thru is tall. They were literally talking with 2 orders of my fries about 2 inches away from their mouths. Wth? I should have video taped this. I have a young, unvaccinated child...keep your germs to yourself!! Never again!!
This restaurant makes it impossible to order gluten free. The last time we were there they gave us the breaded nuggets instead of the grilled. I did receive a call from the manager the last time but have been too busy to call back. This time, they were out of gluten free buns. I was not told this until after I paid!!! The man came and asked me if I wanted something else, I said to place it on lettuce since they were out of the gluten free buns.I guess that was hard to do because I literally waited over 15 minutes for my order in the drive-thru lane. Ugh, very unprofessional! Also, when the lady with the red hat and cow mask handed me my order, I asked if my receipt was in the bag. She rudely and very sarcastically replied as she lifted up the receipt, its right here.Lady, I cannot see thru the bag and definitely not from the position I was sitting in from my car plus it was dark. My son, who has a gluten allergy, was very upset due to the fact that this is the only Chick-fil-A that makes it impossible to order gluten free. You all need to work on this asap! And the ladys character was not very Christian like.
I ordered the 12 count GRILLED nugget meal because of an allergy to breaded meat but was given the breaded nuggets instead. I did not notice until I was on my way home so I could not eat them. I was going to check my bag at the drive-thru door but the worker there was just staring at me like move already. Ugh, I can never trust that my meal will be correct with this restaurant.
Love Chick Fil A. Everything is awesome can never go wrong with nuggets or the original sandwich. Cookie is awesome. Shakes are great. The new mac and cheese is my favorite out of all fast food places. Oh breakfast is amazing as well. Chicken biscuit is amazing as well as the minis and burrito. Though love the classic chicken biscuit with an egg.
The best chick fil a that I’ve ever been at so far. I am surprised what a powerful management this branch has which can handle long lines in the shortest times. I have been at so many chick fil a branches in multiple cities, but this branch is greatest by far. The drive thru has at least two different lines with people taking your order in order to process everything faster. Even the quality of food at this branch is much better than others. I love this branch of chick fil a.
The customer service was outstanding! Very clean as well. Speed of service was perfect. Everyone was in perfect uniform and even the restroom was very clean. Me and my family will always go back in a heart beat. Even the manager came to our table. I felt like i was at home. The reward club is also a great perk. Keep it up!
This place must have all new staff. I watched 5 cars go by the line next to me before I even got to give my order. Then when I reached the front I heard the employees complaining about customers.Update: The manager called me after this review and he listened to my concerns. Really respect the Chick f la values and grateful the local management cares.
While I understand that all Chick-Fil-A restaurants are basically independently owned franchises, it is good business practice to occasionally modify a menu item for small children who might experience dysphagia. I’ve been a loyal customer for many years, have frequented dozens of Chick-Fil-A restaurants, who as long as it isn’t something that would cost them an unfair price (I.e. giving someone like five extra sauces for an eight count of nuggets), are absolutely willing to modify an item (I.e. no cheese on salad, no blueberries, only apples in the fruit cup, etc.). Not this location! An employee approached my car and told me that they could not accommodate my request for only one type of fruit due to my 2 year old having difficulty swallowing apples blueberries and oranges (all things she has and does choke on due to dysphagia.). She said that they would have to give me a fruit cup (full price mind you). I told her it was absolutely unacceptable to literally remove almost the entire dish and to still charge me full price, instead of just substituting the ingredients she couldn’t have with ones that she could. This might as well have been a conversation with a stone statue. This is surprising that this location takes this stance when they are right across from a church that is renowned for their service to parents and children of the special needs community. Absolutely appalling.
Excellent team.They work as Bee🐝Kingdom. Hard workers with full energys. And great organizing management. Even when they are super busy, they still friendly and smilling and still under control to give you the best service. I recomnd this location as fastest service and best location in San Antonio, at least in my experience if not many people agree with me. Thanks Chic,-fil-A De Zavala location. 😉 S.K

Staff was also friendly when I would ask for recommendations, glad to have found some new things to order now.Minor, but it would be nice if the building was open to walk into, sometimes it is just nice to sit down and relax inside ya know?I definitely come here often enough and would come again

2021-12-04This franchise is amazing. Food is great. Customer service is great. I love every bit of chick fil a.What I dont like about this specific location is that they hire these college kids that dont pat attention to detail and just focus on throwing a sandwich together quickly and spit it out.I asked for cheese to be always placed in the middle for this reason.This time I got my sandwich squashed, half the chicken out of the sandwich and the pickles bundled up in one corner of the sandwich.I get this is fast food and they get lots of orders, just a little pride in their food preparation wouldnt hurt.Btw its the same problem I have with this location only multiple times. Its the closest to where I live so I dont have another choice. Would definitely appreciate the improvement!

2022-08-06The food is always delicious and well made. I understand employees are working hard and are probably understaffed. I just wish that they wouldnt try to push customers out so fast. Just went through the drive through, and both the individual taking the order as well as the person who gave me my order was in a rush to get me out of there, I wasnt able to ask for the smallest items because I felt pressured and forced to hurry up and get out of the line.

2022-05-26Whatever you do, don’t order curbside. Drive-through is a well-oiled machine, but curbside is the worst curbside experience you will have at any restaurant. I waited 30 minutes and no one came out so I pulled up next to the drive-through asking about my order. They finally had someone bring it out, but when I got home I found out they left out part of my order. I tried calling the restaurant, but of course no one picked up and I had to leave a voicemail. What restaurant doesn’t have someone to pick up the phone?EDITED: They called me back extremely apologetic and offered me a free meal next time so I changed my rating from a 2 to a 5 based on their customer service. Also, I didn’t receive the missing item because it was a breakfast item that I ordered in the app when it was still breakfast time, but I picked it up after breakfast time.

2022-03-31Been awhile since Ive been to that location. Glad so see they are doing so well that they now have 3 drive through lanes! I went inside and it is still the same, fast, friendly service. Your order is brought to your table.Guess the snubbing from the City Council...not to allow a franchise mattered😂🤣

2022-05-24This will reign supreme out of all Chick-Fil-a locations in San Antonio! Best Food and Management/Customer service. However, the parking for this location sucks! There are a total of 6 or so parking spaces that make it hard to enjoy eating inside. The drive through lanes and caution cones take up all of the possible parking. I wont let that take away from the 5 start rating. Just fix that and well be golden!

2022-07-14Great Chick-fil-A! It was renovated this past year and it looks great! Service is quick and awesome, as expected. It does get very busy during rush hour times, but Im sure the service is still quick.

2022-08-03It was one of the best chicken sandwiches Ive ever had. Got the Spicy Deluxe with Chick Fil A, Polynesian and Buffalo sauces. Was amazing. Service was great as well.

2022-06-02Just spent 11-min in drive thru for a large diet Arnold Palmer. The 5 cars behind me had all received their food and were just waiting for me to get mine. 5 employees at the window laughing and messing around. It wasnt until I said all I ordered was a drink that someone came and assisted me. Im all for having fun at work, but I also dont want to idle for 11-min waiting for a drink.
