I cant say enough good things about this gym. The classes are EXACTLY what my husband and I were hoping for when we decided to start training. The coaches are amazing, the class times can fit around almost any schedule and the owner really really cares about the students. I am getting much more out of this program than I ever thought possible! If youre on the fence about whether to get started with training, take the leap and try this place out. Worth every penny and drop of sweat!!
I came to Fighting Fit with a friend who unfortunately because of medical issues could not continue. She brought me this gym but the culture of this gym and the owner are what kept me going. Muay Thai and the kickboxing classes in the evenings are amazing. Coach Forest and Coach Corey alway let me know how I’m progressing and keep me motivated. I would recommend this place to anyone just starting out like me who don’t know if martial arts are right for them. The way this gym conducts themselves that make it right for anyone no matter their age, weight or anything else definitely welcoming. Thank y’all for this awesome experience. I’ve also lost 30lbs during my time with them so far.
I met with Forrest to discuss a 6-wk challenge I had seen advertised on Instagram. The conversation was great and Forrest is really driven to help you reach your goals.I didn’t go through with it due to the price. I cannot afford it, nor a regular membership. I have no doubt that you’re getting your money’s worth, as part of the challenge and membership you receive a meal plan, accountability coach, and a bunch of other things.I believe in transparency and wish more businesses had prices readily available, so the prices are below.-$79/wk (unlimited classes) 6 months-$49/wk (unlimited classes) 12 months-$499 6 wk challengeIf I had ample money, I’d sign up. But alas that is not the case.
Ive been coming to this gym for just over 6 months now and I love it! The coaches are awesome and friendly, and the people (students?) are so nice and welcoming. My favorite classes to go to are the Muy Thai and Fitness Kickboxing. Muy Thai has an optional spar at the end of class which can be very fun to apply the things youve learned in class. Kickboxing is focused a bit more on fitness, which well do exercises as a class and working w/ a bag or partner!I highly recommend this martial arts gym!
Wow! What an amazing gym to be a part of!!Let me just start by saying - Im the kind of person that has never enjoyed working out and would do anything possible to get out of it. Well, once I turned 30 I realized that I couldnt eat the same things without gaining weight and I definitely was losing muscle. I started doing the bare minimum outside of a gym just to be able to eat my terribly greasy, delicious food and have a few drinks on the weekend. Trying to do this by myself and not really holding myself accountable quickly led me on a depressed path and realization that I needed to do something more for myself.I joined Fighting fit a couple months ago originally because my Partner joined about 8 months prior and has continued to have great success! Ive been able to watch her transformation of losing over 40 pounds throughout her weightloss journey. But, not only that, she just is SO much happier and in such a great place mentally! She would come home everyday telling me about all the cool classes she was taking, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing etc. and how much fun she was having!So... I Joined Fighting fit and could not be happier about the experience Ive had in the last 2 months! I realized that all things can be done, as long as they are in moderation. You dont have to eat salads or skip meals everyday to keep the weight off or to feel good. There is so much more to it than that. Im learning so much about my body and what makes it tick, as well as getting my butt worked out and in the most fun way! This place is SO much more than just a gym you force yourself to go to after work. Its meeting great people, being a part of a community and experiencing so many new things but at a pace that is for everyone. Even if you have previous injuries or certain things you arent able to do, the coaches work with you and you still get a great work out. Being a member of Fighting Fit has taught me accountability and is helping to teach me to be my best self, inside and out! I love working directly with my coaches Forrest and Corey! They are seriously the best!! They both make me feel comfortable and always make sure to give positive reinforcement. I started this journey to get my wedding Bod in gear, but now Ive joined a family that I intend to be a part of. I highly recommend giving this place a shot to help transform you inside and out! :)
Ive been a member of Fighting Fit for several years. Ive been a member of other kickboxing gyms in Austin, but this place felt like home after my first session. The owner, Forrest, has a playful, earnest energy to him and you can tell hes genuinely interested in helping you succeed in your goals. The fellow members are also friendly and welcoming which puts you at ease when trying something new.All the coaches Ive trained with over the years are first rate, and the Muay Thai classes with Corey are a fun way to take your kickboxing skills to the next level. As a non-muscly man I was initially intimidated at trying the Muay Thai sparring, but Corey makes it approachable and ensures youre not paired beyond your level before youre ready. The Muay Thai classes have also made me more confident in my abilities and given me practical self defense skills.Sure its more expensive than a standard cardio/weight based gym, but the quality you get is worth the investment and having people who know your name adds more incentive to go back week after week. The work Ive put in, especially over the last year, has paid off and Ive had more success here than any other place Ive been in the last 10 years.
Ive been going to this gym for over a year now and I can say with confidence that the coaches are top notch. They have excellent teaching skills and detail oriented.I particularly love the Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu classes. Its an intense workout while learning excellent martial arts skills.
I joined Fighting Fit Kickboxing & Jiu Jitsu 2 months ago after my family and I moved to TX. Having no prior martial arts experience but a desire to make a change in my life, I figured here would be a good place to start. What started as an outlet to improve my well-being turned into something much more!I found myself really enjoying not only the skills and workouts I was developing, but the friends and community that comes with this gym! The folks that go here are some of the nicest people Ive met and the staff are second to none! Their skills and expertise truly are something special. Now Im in some of the best shape Ive been in years and have really jumped on Muay Thai. Id never heard of Muay Thai before joining this gym but would recommend it to anyone looking to develop an intense strike-based martial art!Bottomline - join the gym, take the Muay Thai classes, make some amazing friends, and take a first step into something new!
Where to start? About a year ago I joined with no experience in BJJ but I had a driving hunger to learn and per usual my eyes were bigger than my stomach. It takes humility, confidence, and determination to keep coming back - some days you’ll want to kick the can and others it’s the the very thing you look forward to at the end of your day. Forrest and Corey are one of the firsts gyms I’ve encountered that’s accomplished an environment of vulnerability, empathy and community. They meet you where you are and I love the fact that it’s a sport that can improve mental health! I personally have struggled years with severe depression and anxiety, this place has been a positive outlet for me in addition to my self development practices.Just give it a try and don’t give up. What’s hard is worth pursuing for the gratification earned in the end.Cheers!
Coach Forrest and all of the members made me feel very welcome from the very first introduction class. Truly grateful for a community who encourages, cheer and help one-another.The gym has a very inclusive culture, and for people like me who has had some prior training and are unsure if they should join Do it!
A great, small gym for Muay Thai, Jiu jitsu and cardio kickboxing. I join recently and have loved every minute so far. As a long time martial artist, this gym has given me an opportunity to reintroduce myself to Muay Thai and begin my journey as a new JJ practitioner. This place is amazing and the coaches are very accommodating. Because of its size, I have received a lot more constructive feedback than I found at other gyms. I see myself being here for the foreseeable future.
I joined Fighting Fit in 2017 with the goal to become stronger and to lose weight. I was very motivated, ate healthy, natural foods and was taking 3 classes a week. In four months of doing this I lost 40 lbs and felt amazing. My energy was so high. I could go about the day on 4 hours of sleep if need be.So let me tell you about the gym. The workouts are certainly fun. They are designed for all skill levels and you are free to go at your own pace. You have support from the coaches, other members, and the owners and coaches Forrest and Sarah. They are some of the most compassionate and understanding people you will meet. They will help you reach you goals no matter how large. Dont hesitate to ask them for help or advise either. They are involved in your fitness through and through.I highly recommend trying Fighting Fit as a new workout. It was the best decision I made when I lost weight. I look forward to becoming a member again in the future.
Thus place is a diamond in the rough that caters to everyone. Want to just get in shape? They got you! Want to sharpen your muay thai, kickboxing, or bjj skills? They got you! Want to learn other thins like nutrition, or other martial arts, well Ill let you guess... they got you! Coach Forrest and coach corey are not only approachable and some of the nicest humble people Ive met but they can also back it up. No egos, family oriented, best places. I love both this place and these people
This is a sparing gym. The instructors are patient talented energetic and kind. With Maui Thai we learn how to harden the body. The people that attend the classes are unlike anything you will ever encounter. They are the salt of the earth. The people at impact fitness have change my life. The indepth flow submissions ju jitsu classes you learn how to strengthen your resolve. At Impact Fitness you dont witness the journey you experience the transformation. Thank you Forest!
Just started coming to this place I love the morning classes gets my days going right the experience has been awesome so far lots of nice people who are all trying to help you improve and get better. The private classes are also very helpful get to learn techniques and cool combos I hope I keep getting better this is a great place to start at if you don’t know much about kickboxing and jiu jitsu👍
This is a great place to study Jeet Kune Do and also Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, with a community of dedicated and enthusiastic coaches and students. Coaches Forrest and Corey are very experienced and knowledgeable, and are fantastic instructors. The school is very accommodating, with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu offered many times per week, and also various other fitness and kickboxing classes offered throughout the day, so you can work to develop the level of fitness or martial arts skill you desire. All-in-all, a great place to train, and a fantastic up and coming BJJ school! Highly recommended!
I joined Fighting Fit because I was looking for a great option to stay in shape and have always wanted to study martial arts. Normally I exercise on my own but I thought having a community would keep me accountable, and it has! Seeing the reviews online made me believe that the community would be welcoming and non-judgmental. That was very important for me and when I finally joined I was thrilled to meet tons of friendly gym members and awesome coaches.I love that there’s a good number of coaches to choose from. Everyone has their own style and even though each coach leads class differently, they’re all still a ton of fun and leave me sweating buckets. The coaches are also happy to hear you out and give you any advice they can for your fitness goals. The gym also puts on fitness and health challenges often. These are great ways to track your health, fitness, and mindfulness! I participated in the first challenge of the year and noticed a change in my body. My muscles were becoming toned and defined! Also shout out to coach Sarah, who has an awesome yoga class! I went the first time out of curiosity and was hooked. Sarah has the amazing ability to make you feel like you’re in another place. An hour of peace and tranquility that has been so helpful for a buzzing mind like mine.Overall, joining this gym was a leap of faith for me but I dont regret it one bit!
I have been coming for over 3 years now and since adding Mauy Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to the schedule, I never want to miss a day. Coach Corey keeps classes fun and you are always learning something new. Besides learning new skills, you also build confidence in yourself, new friendships, and having fun doing it.
Joined to lose weight and increase my energy. I was never that interested in mixed martial arts but, since going, Ive learned I really like Muay Thai! The coaches are friendly and patient and the atmosphere is welcoming. No one is in there trying to take out frustration by knocking someones block off. Even after sparring, they is a lot of smiling and laughing.
This review is long overdue. I am one of the coaches of Fighting Fit and have been working there over the past 3 years or so. I was at a company happy hour where I met a guy, Rod (shout out), and we talked about how I was into boxing and training. He mentioned to me that his gym was looking for trainers and he provided Forrests number. I met up with Forrest to talk about a part-time coaching possibility and immediately I could see how much he cared about his gym and what he was offering his members.Three years later and it feels like I have become part of a family. This is a gym that is ever adapting and evolving. In my opinion, it shines in its community of its members. This isnt a gym where you come put your ear pods in, find a dark corner and workout by yourself. Theres plenty of those gyms to go around. But this is a place where coming out of your shell is welcome; where competition is fun and healthy; where we lift others up because we all remember how it felt being new and starting from nothing. From a Fighting Fit Coachs perspective, I see members that come struggling and battling their own trials outside of the gym, then walking into the gym to see welcoming faces and minimal pressure. All to accomplish workouts alongside each other, as friends, to grow and prioritize their health. As a prospect, you have options here. You can come to get your workout in and burn fat, you can learn how to use various workout equipment and develop kickboxing/boxing skills, and you can also dedicate yourself to a Martial Arts craft to be an accomplished student. If youre concerned about pricing, weigh it against the investment in your health and the investment in your long-term growth mentally, physically, and spiritually. Youre worth it. Forrest and Sarah care about each member and are able to get you to your goals!Coach Ivan
I absolutely hated going to the gym because i had no motivation. I decided to change that so i try them out with a groupon deal and i absolutely loved both the bootcamp and Kickboxing class. its been about 2 weeks since i have been going steady 3 class a week and i already feel the difference. My energy level is up and i can already push myself more doing the class and every one is great! PS coach Hannah is AMAZING AND AWESOME and is the BEST there! i always look forward to her classes! Everyone should try Fighting Fit Bootcamp!
Fighting Fit has changed my life forever. I started out loosing weight myself; but was never able to maintain and keep the weight off. I had got to the point where I had gained an embarrassing amount of weight and knew I had to do something quickly. So I met with Coach Forrest and he showed me the way; gave me the tools to loose the weight and keep it off! During the six weeks challenge I lost 30 lbs! Now I’m back to the confident woman I used to be.
Ive been a member of Fighting Fit / Austin Impact Jeet Kune Do for nearly two years, and I can honestly say that joining this gym was the best decision I made upon moving to Austin. Ive always loved training in martial arts because its a great way to get in an excellent workout all while focusing on continuous self-improvement, but I never imagined how much I would enjoy the community-focused gym environment at Fighting Fit. The coaches and fellow students are some of the friendliest and most welcoming people youll ever meet, and theres something for everyone. For those wanting to meet their fitness goals and live healthier lives, the Fitness Kickboxing and Boot Camp classes are a fantastic workout, and the gym has a really active private Facebook group and frequently holds team challenges and other fun activities to keep you engaged and feeling like a part of the community. Coach Forrest and Coach Sarah even offer nutrition coaching to fully round out their holistic approach to helping members meet their health and fitness goals. Those interested in advancing their martial arts skills should also feel right at home. I cant say enough about how much I enjoy the Muay Thai, Jeet Kune Do, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes. I highly recommend checking them out no matter your previous experience -- the coaches and other students will work with you at your skill level, and you may even decide to start training for competition like some of our members.Learning from Coach Corey has been the highlight of my year, and Ive genuinely loved going to class to learn and practice techniques with my fellow classmates (as well as to spar with the more advanced students). While Im moving out of state and unfortunately cant pack up the gym and all its members in a box to take with me when I go, I will never forget my Fighting Fit family! I highly recommend this gym for anyone looking for a new one to call their own.
Forrest was my Coach for Fighting Fit nutrition and exercise coaching. He provided a succinct and effective plan for me to reach my goals, as well as tools that I will be able to utilize for the rest of my life. In addition, he made it enjoyable and relatable to every day life. They do not focus on quick weight loss or cheap tricks but rather a holistic approach to make life changes to better yourself. You get out what you put in and with the tools and coaching they provide, you will get out a lot! They provide coaching for all levels of fitness and age. They focus on the goals you set and how best to achieve those for your situation.I highly recommend them for nutrition and exercise coaching, if you are looking to make some changes or improve!
Great place with a lot of positive energy. The owners are very knowledgeable and fun. Forrest and Sarah make sure to put their students first. They schedule in advance for appointments and they are always on time. They also offer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing too. Many options for fun classes😊
Joining this gym has been one of the best decisions of my life. Ive always had a hard time staying consistent with my workouts but I no longer have that problem. Now I actually look forward to going to class to workout. The coaches and other members of this gym are great. If you want to get in shape/learn self defense while having fun, I highly recommend this place.
Ive been attending Fighting Fit for almost a year now and the results that I have seen from the beginning of my journey to now is amazing. There are numerous different diets and programs I have attempted over the years but have only led to no progress and a loss of money. At Fighting Fit, the community is always positive and ready to work, with Coaches that push you past your limits and that want to help you reach your goals, despite the obstacles. The support and training I have received from my Coaches has been life changing and I look forward to continuing my journey with Fighting Fit.
I love this gym! Choosing to join Fighting Fit through the 6 week challenge was the best choice I’ve made towards my fitness goals! The trainers are knowledgeable and supportive. They explain the drills so you won’t get hurt, push you when you need it and make each class a blast! After completing the challenge I have lost 25lbs! I made sure to sign up for the year VIP membership to ensure my continued success!! This place is awesome! If you are stuck in a fitness rut or just want an intense workout guaranteed to make you sweat then come join Fighting Fit Boot Camp Austin!!
I cannot reccommend this gym enough. I originally joined because FF was directly in between work and home for me. I dont like traditional gyms (LA Fitness, 24H, etc) and have just needed a place to punch and kick things.First impressions: the classes were small (although I originally only attended 6AM classes) and the coaches were very friendly. They were helpful and attentive since I was knew and had no idea what I was doing. Everyone seem to know each other. At the beginning, I kinda felt like the new kid at school.Eventually, after attending more classes and participating in their member challenges, I got to know a lot more fellow gym members. Everyone was so friendly and inviting. From friendly competition to group sweaty selfies, from classes at the gym to various member events both to learn more about health and fitness to just purely get to know each other. This group is filled with geniunely great people who do nothing but motivate you and cheer you on to whatever goals youre chasing. The coaches are also amazing. Theyre great dedicated people who are great at working with you where youre at and do their best to help you achieve your goals. When I first joined the gym, I was nearing 150lbs. I am now at 131lbs. More than just losing weight, I found a group of people that I enjoy spending time with and keep in touch with even during this pandemic.
Awesome gym, amazing people, super tough work-outs.Ive been working out at Fighting Fit for the last seven months, and I have never been in better shape. The instructors are awesome, the owners know you by name, and I never miss a work out. This place incorporates boot camp, kick boxing, martial arts and yoga, so you get an all-around great workout. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to have fun and increase their fitness level.
I needed a jump start into working out again. I joined the 6 weeks challenge to make that happen and haven’t regretted it the moment I started. The 6 weeks flew by and it’s been a great experience. Coach Forrest and his team are supportive and kept pushing us throughout the whole thing. With my busy work schedule, I was able to make up the classes with other coaches and all of them have been AMAZING! The kickboxing classes gave me more energy/strength and kept making me challenge myself more. Not only are the coaches awesome but the members are great as well. No matter what level of fitness you are at, everyone knows they are in it together and you can’t help but have fun and a good time. It’s been a great 6 weeks and i’m only at the beginning of my health goals. I decided to stay and join as a member because the weight loss, fun social environment, and support can only get better. Highly recommend it!!!!!!
Ive been here a few times now. I used to do MMA a lot more a few years back. The instructor (Corey) really knows what he is talking about, explains everything thoroughly, and works with your limitations. I tried both Muay Thai and Kickboxing Fitness and they are both excellent workouts.
This gym is awesome! I had considered trying out kickboxing for a while but was a bit hesitant and seIf-conscious, basically I didnt know where to start. One day I signed up for the 6 week challenge at this gym and so far it has been the best workout experience Ive ever had. The environment is extremely welcoming and friendly. There is no judgment from the coaches, only patience and encouragement. They are also attentive and very personable. Finally, the classes are just incredibly fun (but you will sweat). I look forward to every class and work out, which Ive never experienced before! If youve ever considered trying kickboxing, I very highly recommend this gym.
I had a great experience doing the 6 week challenge. Before starting I had become really bored of my workouts, and was not having strong results. The kickboxing and boot camp classes at Fighting Fit are incredible. You will never feel out of place as everyone is so supportive and there are modifications for each workout so regardless of any injuries or your fitness level starting you’ll get a great workout (with awesome music!) You’ll never have the same workout twice so the classes never get boring. Coaches Ivan and Hannah were my favorites, they are so encouraging and so much fun. In the 6 weeks I lost over 27 pounds and felt stronger and had so much more energy.
I LOVE Fighting Fit Boot Camp! I started the 6 Week Challenge last week and it has been a wonderful experience so far! All of the trainers are SUPER helpful and patient and willing to get you to your next level, no matter what level youre starting at. I love that its a smaller gym and I feel welcome and that I get some of the personal attention that one would want in a fitness program. I will become a member after the 6 week program is finished!
I started taking private lessons about 2-3 months and I have enjoyed every single moment. The trainers awesome, they are friendly and fun to work with. They will motivate you to push yourself to the next level. If you want to have fun, workout/learn a new skill, and make new friends, this is the place for you. I met some of the members on a couple of occasions and everyone is friendly and welcoming. I look forward to join the group classes soon.
Been attending this gym for almost 7 months and it’s great to see my progress along with that of all the new students who have joined since. The past few months the gym began to incorporate Brazilian Jiu Jitsu into its arsenal and my appreciation for mixed martial arts has increased dramatically. Coach Corey is a purple belt in BJJ and has utilized his skills to dominate his opponents in under a minute every time he compete. Needless to say, if you want to learn grappling along with striking, you’re in great hands.
I had this reccomended by a friend for good combat classes. I went and tried out a Muay Thai and kick boxing class this past Thursday. It was a super fun workout, and I would look forward to doing it again. Both the instructor and other members were great. I learned a lot and felt super comfortable. The membership is a little pricey but if you are looking to try it out I would definitely reccomend.
Been at fighting fit for about 2 years now. It is a leading example of how a gym can be divided into 2 categories without alienating any customers. If youre interested in learning combat sports for competitive or self defense reasons, Coach Corey will present you with in depth classes, experience and a friendly demeanor that you will not find anywhere else. It is a smaller gym, so at the cost of some of the fancier equipment, you get more personalized classes and attention from the coaches. FF also offers a multitude of classes for conditioning, for those that are looking for more health based results, there is a place for you. Beginner and experienced athletes will feel right at home here. Now that there is BJJ offered, the classes feel even more rounded out. With the incredible guidance, you can easily learn a new art without the fear of intimidation, or being lost in a sea of students. Fighting Fit truly cares for its community and makes it known. You will not regret joining this gym, whether for Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, KBX or conditioning.
It has been more than 7 months with the fighting fit now and I do fitness kickboxing here. Before joining this place, I went to the gym in my apartment and found it so boring and monotonous. I was looking for a place where I not only increase my stamina but also feel motivated and challenged every day. The instructors (Coach Forrest, Sarah, Erik, Trey, Ivan, Matt, Alexis) at this gym are extremely talented and motivates you all the time. I love doing different drills on the stations ( agility ladders, ropes, etc), punching the bags, working on cores and not to forget the team building activities are super fun. The other best thing about this place is positive energy. I love being around these people who are so warm, dedicated, super fun, exercise lover and trying to achieve their fitness goal and seeing the results.**Awesome Place, Amazing people, Fun Environment and Tough Workouts and Drills !!**
At 297lbs I was at my heaviest and struggling to get motivated to lose weight! I joined this Fighting Fit 6 week challenge on a whim, but it turned out to be the greatest decision ever! I enjoyed all of my classes with Ivan, Matthew, and Alyse! I lost 21.6 pounds in 6 weeks! I feel great and I’m so motivated to continue my weight loss journey! Fighting Fit Boot Camp instructors and members are all so fun and motivating! Awesome experience two thumbs way up!
I knew in my 1st week over here that this place is awesome! I am at the end of my 6-week challenge today and I still feel the same. Special shoutout to Coach Lexi for making the workouts challenging and super fun! The challenge itself is a great motivating factor if your workout routine has been dormant like mine. Also, they are not pushy about selling the membership like few of the other gyms out there. So if you are in 2 minds like I was, I urge you to try a couple of classes & see if it works for you. It definitely does for me! :)
The classes at Fighting Fit are challenging but a lot of fun at the same time. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. Ive been taking classes here going on two months and taking 3 classes a week.Since Ive been taking classes here, my fitness level is improving and my body is toning up. I look forward to every class. I would recommend Fighting Fit to anyone looking to get in better shape in a fun, encouraging environment.
A little over 3 years ago, I was feeling run down, always tired, and had no energy. I knew that I was out of shape so I started looking at gyms to join but dreaded the thought of lifting weights or working out on some kind of machine, much less standing in line for it. Then, luckily, Fighting Fit opened before I signed up elsewhere. I am so glad that I gave Fighting Fit Boot Camp a try. Since day one when the gym first opened, I’ve been a member, working out with both Coach Forrest & Coach Hannah. I’ve been attending the boot camp classes 3-4 days a week religiously since then, and have seen very positive changes in my body, strength and stamina. The atmosphere is great. The classes are small which equates to having a personal trainer without the price tag. Every class is structured differently and designed to maximize your workout. The classes are very challenging, and the coaches work with you on proper form. The coaches and members are great, and most of all, it’s fun and rewarding!
If youre looking for a gym to achieve your goals with AMAZING coaches and AWESOME workouts that challenge you to be a healthier, better you in a small, yet close-knit familial environment, then Fighting Fight Boot Camp is the gym for you! Each coach brings a distinct, yet valuable skillset to his/her class that help you achieve your full potential as an individual and within the group.Ive been a long distance runner for close to seven years and, within the past year was diagnosed with double pneumonia. With no physical activity, completely off my feet and bound to my home for almost a month of recovery, I wondered if I would/could ever get back to the same place I was physically. In August 2018, a coworker and fellow Fighting Fit member introduced me to the gym, though having had no experience in kickboxing. After a few classes, I fell in love and saw this as a way back to better physical health and on my feet! It took some time to get the technique, but the coaches and everyone in the classes made it even more enjoyable and made me want to do push myself even more.Since starting at Fighting Fit, Ive been able to recover my health quicker (2x/day, 3-4x/week) than I couldve ever imagined! Fighting Fit has provided me the strength to get back on my feet in a shorter amount of time, having run three half marathons and multiple smaller distance races with an even faster pace than before. So, if youre ready to change your health and lifestyle for the better, then come check out Fighting Fit!!
I have attended fighting fit in person and virtually, and every time I have loved every minute I have been to classes here. I highly recommend folks to this place. Love the atmosphere, love the camaraderie, and love the instructors.Forrest really does care about making a difference in people’s lives, and offers consultations on healthy lifestyle changes and nutrition that I have found very helpful. Never have I ever been pressured to buy something or to sign up for something I didn’t know anything about. He and his coaches always provide their honest opinions for exercises, foods, and what they have seen work for them and their other clients to give you the best idea of what may or may not work for you. They do make themselves available for any questions at any time as well, which is a great plus!I can honestly say that so far this is the best gym and fitness program that I have tried in a very long time!
I started coming to Fighting Fit because I wanted to become stronger and more toned. I have a hard time motivating myself to workout at home. I figure if I just drive to Fighting Fit, then there are no excuses. It has been phenomenal. The workouts are hard but fun so that I didnt even notice. The instructors that Ive worked with (Forrest and Charles) are incredibly encouraging and creative with the workouts. The students are welcoming, making me feel right at home. Now Im in great shape and I love it. I highly recommend just trying a class - it wont be a wasted evening.
This club is absolutely wonderful! You won’t want to go back to a regular gym after checking out the workout they have here!I went to the 6am classes (there are lots of different times) that alternated between kickboxing and boot camp every other day. The coaches who teach the workouts are the nicest and most motivating people I’ve met! They really do want you to meet your goals! They also teach you proper stance and positioning when doing kicks or punches to prevent injury and go step by step in all the different exercises. I had such a blast and completely recommend making this kickboxing club your new workout home!!
I signed up for the 6 weeks challenge in order to motivate my self and to get back into martial arts. The class was great for both new and returning martial artists. You learn the proper technique while also getting a great workout in. The coaches are great at keeping you motivated and working hard when you feel like youve got nothing else. After completing the 6 weeks challenge I had lost around 5% of my total body fat! I recommend it to anyone and everyone!
I started going to Fighting Fit Boot Camp over year ago when I was 210 lbs. I wasnt sure I was going to like it, but I received a two week pass and ended up loving it. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the people there are amazing! They all wanted to see me succeed, which was a real motivator. I liked the fact that it was a smaller gym and that the instructors really paid attention to me to ensure that I was doing everything properly and getting the most of my workout. I even received information on nutrition and received great meal plans.I am now 165lbs and part of the leadership/training team there. Its amazing walking in there whether it be to workout or to lead the workout. I am sure glad that my friend introduced me to this place! If you are looking for a small gym, an awesome workout, new friends, and a new gym to call home, this is the place to be!
A couple months after joining Fighting Fit, I decided to enroll in the Men’s 6 Week Challenge. In addition to exceeding my weight loss goals, participating in the challenge helped me to incorporate better overall lifestyle changes in my daily life & routine (ex. diet, nutrition, stretching)The coaches at Fighting Fit truly love what they do and it shows. The gym offers a variety of classes from Yoga to Boot Camp to Jeet Kune Do - there is something for everybody. The classes are fun and challenging, the coaches are all very knowledgeable and everyone is very supportive of each other.
I love it here! Not only are the people greats, member and coaches, but the workouts are effective and fun. I started in October and have since lost inches and pounds all while having a great time. The coaches are attentive and guide you through movements and show the correct form. The group exercises are extremely motivating and never repetitive. At Fighting Fit, fitness is fierce, fun, and great for all fitness levels. It’s awesome.
Im the person who used to be active and didnt worry too much about what I ate. Then metabolism slowed with age, stress, and a more sedentary lifestyle happened and it was hard to get into a good routine and feel good about myself in my own skin. I had a gym membership that I hardly used. I ate everything, I felt sluggish and I got discouraged. Then I heard about Fighting Fit and their 6 week challenge. Im competitive by nature and who best to compete with than yourself. They give you the tools, but its ultimately up to you. Keep up with the meal plan, go to 3 classes a week, stay accountable with check ins from the coaches. Easy, right? No, its hard. But they support you. The classes are fun, theyre only 45 minutes and before you know it youve created a puddle of sweat to your favorite pop tunes. I like the neighborhood feel of the gym and how the coaches learn your name and work with you to meet your goals. Theres a FB group that you can reach it to if you need an extra boost or to vent. The meal plan is completely doable and sustainable. Now, I feel like I have more energy than I did before and dont have as many cravings -- and I met my goal! Fighting Fit is a great place to go to if youre wanting to get back into working out or even getting into it for the first time. They break down the workouts if youre a beginner and challenge you if youre more seasoned. I recommend Fighting Fit to anyone!
Wow!! What an experience. The 6 weeks Fighting Fit Boot Camp training was off the chain. If you never had a Fighting Fit Boot Camp experience, you need to try it. Just add to your bucket list. If you need to lose weight but still eat, this challenge is for you. It may be a big change from what you are used to eating, but it worked for me. The trainers are awesome. Their hands on, in your face technique is what I needed. My hat goes off to the entire team. They made it fun and challenging. Some days harder than others, but I made it!! Thank you all!!
If you are looking for a place where you can leave all anxiety about your body, your lack of experience working out and what your level of fitness is today, this is the place for you! I started at Fighting Fit with a fitness routine that only included shopping. Both the kickboxing and yoga classes were first time experiences, but after the first class in each I was hooked! In 3 weeks I have worked out more than I literally have my entire life and I owe it all to Coach Forrest, Sarah and the great folks that attend class with me. Thanks to all of you for helping me make a HUGE life change.
Ive been to many different gyms over the years and I really like the atmosphere here! The coaches are really positive and put me in a good mood after a long day of work. There is no feeling of insecurity about how I look or being a beginner because everyone is so welcoming and supportive of one another. The classes are fun and they fly by! Its a tiring workout and you can tell it is working your whole body. But Coach Forrest is always willing to modify the moves if theyre too much or if you have an injury. I definitely recommend you try this place out!
I was first introduced to kickboxing in 2014 but due to life, I had to quit. Last summer I was in desperate need of some stress relief/punching therapy, and I decided to look for a fairly-priced gym nearby. That’s when I found Fighting Fit, its awesome trainers and fun motivating community of members!I fell in love with Coach Erik’s class first. He makes sure that you’re not here to just kick/punch a bag to break a sweat but to learn proper form and technique. Then I checked out Coach Ivan & Matt’s boot camp classes and they are so upbeat and motivating that you ENJOY the workouts. Finally, came yoga with Coach Sarah & Shelly – Yoga? At a kickboxing gym? Fighting Fit has a good combination of classes that I didn’t know I was looking for!The cherry on top and THE main reason I give this gym a 5 STAR rating: 3ish months into my membership, my husband and I found out we were expecting our first child. There was no need to ask to freeze or get out of my contract. The trainers I work with modify workouts, make sure I’m working out at my comfort level and have never made me feel left out or like a burden! My goal is to continue to practice kickboxing and yoga to be able to share with my daughter my journey and excitement for them. But most importantly, to teach her to love herself, her body shape at any stage in life, and to teach her that she can do anything she sets her mind to! You don’t have to be at a certain fitness level to begin your health journey and your end goal (in my opinion) doesn’t always have to be a number on a scale or on your clothes. I’m grateful to be part of Fighting Fit before, during my pregnancy and I plan to continue my membership after!“When we focus on external standards of body shape and size, we feed on the scraps that society gives us, rather than enjoying the unfolding story of our own experience.” – Coach Sarah. When I heard this at the end of one of my first yoga practices, I was reassured that I’d join the right gym.
I joined the gym a month after moving to Austin as a way to both get into Jeet Kune Do and build some sense of community. In the time I’ve been here I can say that they’ve helped me meet those goals and even some others around fitness along the way. More recently we’ve had some outside influence from an instructor joining us from Chicago. Coach Corey brought with him competition experience in mma, kickboxing, and BJJ. He’s got other grappling arts under his belt as well but it’s the BJJ that he’s introduced to the gym and boy oh boy has that caught on.Anyway, long and short of it is, if you’re looking for a good gym with good people and some coaches that help you get better in your craft/game, look no further. Plus you get a free class to try it anyway.
This is a great place to train! I stumbled upon Fighting Fit when I was looking for self-defense classes. I had passed up gym after gym because their websites seemed to be marketing to people whose fitness goals were to look like every fitness model you see on the internet. I dont think thats a bad goal to have, but if thats the only goal, its a bit one dimensional.I decided to stick with Fighting Fit because the trainers took the time to ask me what my personal goals were when I began, and Ive seen them consistently encourage healthful fitness, not just six packs or skinny.I also stuck with this gym because I had fun with the other people training there. Theyre all really personable, and Ive actually made friends with many of them.Im glad I joined Fighting Fit because since doing so, Ive seen positive increases in my strength and stamina. I also love the classes. The trainers always make them hard, but fun. On top of that, I love that the kickboxing classes teach you real techniques. I highly recommend Fighting Fit Boot Camp.
I’ve only been a member since Dec 18, and I haven’t been able to go as often as I’d like, but EVERY TIME I go, I’m welcomed like I go everyday. If you’re looking for a patient, warm, and friendly gym family, it’s right here. Your membership gets you a variety of fitness classes, incredible instructors who will push you, team building events, and great classmates to sweat with.I could go on and on about how wonderful Fighting Fit is, but you should really just check them out for yourself.
This has been a long over due review for this amazing place. When I moved to Austin back in January 2017, I was very determined to get healthy and loose a whole lot of weight that I had gained the past year because of a hectic schedule. Even though I have a full fledged gym at my apartments, I never find any motivation to work out by myself. So looking around for gyms that offered group classes I stumbled upon fighting fit. I noticed they offer multiple classes like kick-boxing, yoga, and boot camp, not to forget also martial arts. I have always wanted to try kick-boxing so I thought of giving this place a shot. I had a chat with forest over the phone and he went over everything in detail. What I loved right off the back was the pricing and the flexibility of classes you can take.I have to say. Joining fighting fit was the best life changing decision I have made so far. When I first started, I could barely punch or kick the bag. Also, started with the lighter weights. Now I’m kick-boxing in a much better form and also on the heavier weights. Thanks to the amazing coachs.Every single coach here is so attentive on the form and also provide you with alternatives for people that need it.It’s been about 10 months now I have lost about 30 lbs. Since become much stronger and gained muscle. I have so much more confidence now than from when I started working out.For all you people that need the motivation for a better lifestyle, this is the place for you. You won’t be disappointed. No judgment what so ever. And the best part of my day is going to work out here.My fighting fit family is amazing!Big shout out to the amazing coachs here Forest, Sarah, Ivan, Hannah, Matt, Erik and Eduardo. You guys are some amazing people to be coached from.Thank you :)
Forrest and Sarah are so genuinely nice. They made everyone feel like comfortable. The coaches are awesome and encouraging as well. Never had a complain while I was working out there. They make sure to give all the tools you need to achieve your goals. They also guide you if you seem to get stuck. So thankful I got to participate in this camp. Definitely worth a try!
Ive been going to this gym religiously for about 6 weeks now and it is nothing short of AMAZING. From the moment I walked in, the instructors were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The workouts are fast-paced and exactly what I was looking for. Since it is a smaller gym, you quickly get to know the other members and quickly feel a sense of family. Trainers will help you with diet, meal planning, equipment, stretching, and other tips.I cant recommend this gym more highly. Try it and I promise youll enjoy it!
Very friendly environment. Welcoming to all people of any skill level. The coaches are all very nice, and looking to help you in anyway they can. The offered nutrition plan is great. You can get 1 on 1 training and also 1 on 1 help for building out a nutrition plan that works for you. They help you in setting goals, and the community is great.
Ive been coming to Fighting Fit Boot Camp for a little over 5 months now. When I first started coming, I was a little intimidated because I wasnt sure what kind of people I would encounter. Right away, I was welcomed by an easy-going staff and some awesome classmates. Everyone that comes here progresses at their own pace. Some have been coming for longer than others, but not once have I felt judged or belittled by anyone who may be a little more advanced than I am. If anything, everyone here motivates me to continue to push forward. Every coach has their own unique way of training and coordinating class, so every day that I show up, I am challenged and faced with new styles and techniques that help me improve day by day. I absolutely love that I decided to join Fight Fit. I have gained so much confidence in the short amount of time that Ive been coming and I dont want to let it go!
I joined Fighting Fit Boot Camp to join the 6 week fitness and health challenge. I enjoy running long distance and doing endurance triathlon. I finally had a break from my training, so I thought I would try to challenge myself in a different avenue. I recently went on my honeymoon on a cruise where I gave myself permission to eat whatever I wanted. After coming back, I had a hard time getting back into my healthy eating routine. This challenge was just what I needed in order to get my weight and my life back. The challenge started with a few challenges on HOW to incorporate what I needed to into my diet. What exactly did this look like? What kind of protein shakes were good and what ones were easy on the stomach? Forrest was great when I had questions. He called me back immediately to talk about it. Even though I lost weight my first week, I actually gained body fat. I was a bit discouraged, but I knew I had to keep with the plan.As the weeks went on, I really started to embrace the challenge and enjoyed trying new foods. It was fun to mix and match some of the foods and I really liked trying new spices to make the same dishes taste just a little different. The workouts were great too. It was nice to get some upper body workouts and to do strength training in a HIIT format. Running has given me many chronic injuries that prevented me from doing certain exercises like the rest of the group but eventually I was able to add modifications order to get a great workout. I loved the coaches and the people I worked out with.At the end of my challenge, I reached my goals and I look forward to continuing with the meal plan. I highly recommend this gym to help you get kick started on a healthy lifestyle or to continue the one you have already started.
I love Fighting Fit Bootcamp! If you need a place to help jumpstart your fitness routine or get you over a plateau in your current routine, this is it!!! Everyone is so friendly & really know their stuff! Its such a fun and motivating environment. I had to miss several classes due to surgery & work, but I still saw great results! Coach Forrest is super patient & encouraging, yet hes tough & will push you :) I will miss the workouts as well as the people from class. Check this place out - you wont regret it!!!
Came into this gym as part of their 6 week challenge having absolutely ZERO experience at martial arts or gym work. I started out of shape and clueless and finished the challenge 10 lbs lighter and 5.3% leaner in body fat. The class instructors are great at explaining and encouraging at all skill levels. The classes themselves are fun and engaging (and butt kicking). Tremendous place to get in shape, build a supportive community, and learn some skill at the same time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I love, love, love, love this gym!I’ve taken a class like the ones they offer before, but I didn’t have nearly as much fun.I feel like their classes are really working for me and my goals.I feel energized, my happy levels immediately spike up after I finish a work out, I feel stronger and accomplished!I would definitely recommend this gym to other people!
I have been attending Fighting Fit classes for 4 months, and I recently signed on for a one year membership. I love the classes there because the coaches are always teaching new techniques, partner exercises, and kickboxing games, so it keeps classes exciting. They also include other types of fighting styles. In the 4 months Ive been there, Ive learned Kung Fu techniques, Muay Thai, Capoeira, etc. The best thing about this gym is that they let everyone work at their own pace and comfort level. Prior to Fighting Fit, my experience was otherwise when I had trial classes with another gym. I also had recommended Fighting Fit to a friend and she signed up after her first class. After every class, I feel great because I can feel the intensity of a great workout. Kickboxing has been therapeutic for me in a way because it keeps me focused. Every time afterwards, Im excited to go back because I know the classes will be different every time and there is always room for improvement.
2018 has been the year I finally gained control of my diet, but that alone didnt yield the results in weight loss I was hoping to achieve. I saw a facebook post from Fighting Fit about a 6 week challenge. It sounded like the exact thing I needed to figure out how to step up my working out.I went into the challenge fully committed to their 6 week plan and the weight just started falling off. It was crazy! The work outs are a lot of fun and change up all the time, it never feels like Im doing the exact same thing every time. The classes are also presented in a way that can accommodate anyone, go at your own pace, alternatives to almost every work in case you have some ailment, and everyone there is 100% supportive and wanting to have a good time. After the 6 weeks challenge was over I had hit every goal I had set for myself in 2018 and more, so I decided to keep going to the gym.Fighting Fit has continued to be a great experience, and now its time to reevaluate and get myself some new fitness goals for 2019. I know Fighting Fit will help out.
Are you bored with your workouts? Personal trainer not in the budget? Wanna work out with a friend but they’re all home sittin’ on the couch? Then Fighting Fit Boot Camp is for you! I was hooked after my very first class and have been going for almost 2 years now! Each workout is different, challenging, and fun! We make use of a variety of equipment, from medicine balls to bands, kettle bells, sandbags, battling ropes, and more! Some exercises use just your body weight and when the weather’s nice, some are even outdoors. We do stations or AMRAPs (As Many Reps As Possible) and oftentimes at the end there’s a short friendly competition that involves sprints! Always a warm up and cool down, too. Coach Forrest (owner)makes class fun and he’s always on the lookout to make sure you’re doing things with proper form. I’ve belonged to umpteen gyms but never got the results I’m seeing here (in my first 6 months, going just 3x per wk, I lost 35 lbs!). I love Fighting Fit because the classes are small, it’s affordable, and it’s a great workout!
Dear Reader, if you are reading this wondering if this is a good place to kick-start your workout, take my word and check out this place already. This is by far the most lively place that Ive been.I took up the get fit 6-week challenge offered by Fighting Fit Boot Camp.Today is the last week of the challenge and though I havent lost much weight in these 6 weeks...I think Im getting there, I feel a lot stronger and my body is well toned. Before I started, I had no clue what kick boxing was, but Coach Forrest, Sarah, Hanna and Edurado helped learn the technique and have fun at the same time.I really enjoyed these 6 weeks kickboxing and I think Im gonna go back here after a short break.
Fighting Fit is a rare gem in the fitness world. Small, personalized classes - as close to personal training you can get without shelling over personal training dollars. The boot camps and boxing classes are TOUGH. The trainers know you are there for a set time, and they maximize it - not a second is wasted. Dont let that scare you though - they arent mean drill sergeants. The mood of the gym is one of teamwork, camaraderie, and fun. Its so great to train with trainers who really love what they do - that passion, focus, and attention to detail really comes across at Fighting Fit.
I am finishing up a 6 week boot camp here tomorrow, and I have to say this is the best workout experience of my life. There is absolutely zero judgment from Coach Forrest or any members in the class, no matter what your level. It is a supportive, fun environment, and I always feel GREAT when I leave. I love the boot camp structure, because it gave me something to commit to and stick to for a period of time. Im not sure I can motivate myself another way. The training we receive in class has real-world value, so I feel like we are getting healthy while learning great life skills. I cant recommend this place enough!
I joined a few weeks ago and it has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. The coaches are awesome. They are very helpful and encouraging, always making sure you are doing your moves correctly. I have lost some weight already and I feel I have way more energy. Kickass workouts !! No judgment zones just great fun hard working classes.Love it !!
I started the 6 Week Challenge it has been a wonderful experience All of the trainers are helpful and patient and willing to get you to your next level, no matter what level youre starting at. Whether your beginning or advanced theres always something to work on I remember my fist day going to fighting boot camp I dint know what to expect but as soon I open the door I saw how everyone was working hard and I knew right there that I made the right choice coach Forrest welcome and instantly I felt welcome When the six week challenge started I dint know anyone and i was the type of person that always did things alone but thanks to the challenge I meet awesome people each one of us had a different goal whether was to lose weight or learn something new we all work together to make our goals into a reality last yearbefore I join I received one of the worst news of my life my mom was sick for a really long time and so working a part time job and going to school and taking care of my mom all of that got to me and because of that I was always stress eating by the time I realized it was to late I gained 30 pounds i started having problems sleeping I would always wake up in the middle of the night out of breath it was there that I was determined to get my life back joining the fighting boot camp it was the best decision I ever made you quickly get to know the other members and quickly feel a sense of family I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to make a change the clases are fun and challenging every work out is different and every class your learning something new with every class youll see what areas you need improvement on and the coaches are there for you to help you learn and to stay motivated
For years I drove by this gym with both curiosity and trepidation. I reached a point where my fear was outpaced by my frustration with the scale and how I was feeling. I took advantage of the free 2 week offer and thought why not give it a shot. Im incredibly happy that I did! I now attend kick boxing classes 3-4 times per week and look forward to each and everyone of them. My weight is dropping, my strength is increasing and my mindset has moved from fear and avoidance to optimism and belief! Forrest takes a personal interest in each and every client that walks through the door. My vision of a screaming Boot Camp instructor drilling me into the ground was the furthest from the truth. Dont get me wrong, youll work hard and sweat! However, both Forrest and Hannah have commanded my respect rather than demand it. The idea is to move, learn proper form and have fun while doing it. If youve wondered what this gym is all about, let me save you a few years of wasting time driving by. Come check it out!
About 7 months ago I was trying to motivate myself to go to the gym every night after work. All through high school and college I was very active in sports, especially soccer so I always loved working out with a group of people. So I went on the Internet and I found Fighting Fit!! I was nervous at first, but after a few weeks and getting in the groove of working out every night I found that I started seeing changes not just in my body but also my motivation. I typically go to the bootcamp, but every now and then I will go to the kickboxing. And i actually just went to my first yoga class. I love the trainers because they allow us to go at our own pace but also push us. I also enjoy everyone that goes to the classes. Its nice to be around other people who are trying to better themselves!! I honestly can say that going to fighting fit is what I look forward to the most after work! It has also made me fall in love with fitness. And after 7 months I have lost almost 45 pounds, and I dont plan on stopping anytime soon. I think Fighting Fit Bootcamp is different then other classes because they arent to big, everyone pushes themselves but we also laugh and have fun. The trainers are motivating and actually do some of the excercises with you and they encourage you to push yourself. I also really enjoy it because we cheer eachother on, class is the same time every night so you feel obligated to go and after 45 minutes of hard work you can go home and enjoy the rest of your night. I wouldnt be where I am if it wasnt for Fitting Fit Bootcamp!!!
Fighting fit boot camp in Austin is the best decision i took! It helped get back into a healthy life style. Get fit and eat healthy. You will get all the support you need from coaching to meal plans and to several different type of classes they have. After I gave birth to my second baby, I was struggling with my weight. I did all kind of diets and I took even pills to lose weight nothing worked for me. I was depressed and started eating unhealthy. I dont like to exercise on my own. Even I enrolled in a gym and went only 2 times. No one there can motivate you to reach your goal or motivate you to practice more. The only time you can hear from them is when they remind you to pay by the end of the month. So, while surfing Facebook I saw fighting fit boot camp in Austin and thought to give it a try and I did and glad that I did that. Now I lost 8 pounds in only 4 weeks and gained muscles that helped burn more fat! I dropped 2 sizes! Its a very friendly environment and you feel welcomed every time you come for the class. The coaches are great and they help you one on one. I really recommend anyone who likes to get into a healthy life style, get fit, and loose weight to contact coach Forrest Caudill and get enrolled now!
I did a 6 week fit challenge at Fighting Fit. It was a great experience. I always struggle with keeping up with a weight loss plan. I’ll do it for a few days and then give up. This program keeps you accountable and everyone is so encouraging, coaches and challengers alike. They give you a meal plan guide and there are a variety of classes and times. If you need modifications of an exercise they are happy to help. So don’t be afraid or discouraged if trying kickboxing because of a physical limitation. With a physical limitation and struggling with sticking with any weight loss plan, I was able to meet and exceed my goal!
I have been coming to Fighting Fit for almost a year now. It is so amazing! The classes are great and the instructors really give great motivation. Since I joined I have lost 40 pounds and gained so much self-love/confidence. I love how everybody has a huge smile on their faces walking in and walking out ! Thanks Fighting Fit for all that you do !
So here I am 6 months in with Fighting Fit. I can honestly say the morning I decided to meet with Forrest for my consultation to do the 6 week challenge was a definite life changing day! To be honest I almost stayed in bed like every Saturday before but I knew my mind (and my competitive attitude) was ready for the challenge. I was at a point where I knew I wanted to do better for myself in different aspects of my life, fitness being the most important. I grew up in every sport I could have fun with so I always was athletic but the every day hustle and bustle made me feel too tired to workout for a long time. Fast forward to January 2017, saw an ad about a 6 week challenge and peeled myself out of bed that one Saturday morning to meet with the man himself, Forrest! Also had the pleasure of meeting his beautiful wife Sarah! Something about that in itself gave me a good feeling about being there. The 6wks flew by and I felt like I was just getting started. I HAD to join this gym! So signed up and here I am.....25 lbs lighter, inches slimmer and can do push ups and sit ups! Wait theres more......the coaches! I cant get enough of their positive & motivational attitudes! These women and men really enjoy what they do! They take the time to greet everyone that walks in the door. You will not get the personal direction and attention at any other gym. Last but not least, there is no need to feel embarrassed or discouraged here! Ive met some great people (members and coaches). This really is a no judgement atmosphere. We are all here to better for ourselves. I cant say enough great things about Fighting Fit. Thanks to all of you!
Im 3 weeks into the fitness challenge and Ive been dreading it being over since day 1. I had never done kickboxing in my life before this and it is so fun and rewarding. Forrest is patient, kind, and if you can get past his mediocre dad jokes lmao hes an awesome instructor. Ive never regretted going to class, it really doesnt even feel like working out sometimes. In the past Ive had memberships at other gyms but I had no motivation to go because I didnt even know where to start/bigger gyms can be so overwhelming. For the amount of personal attention and fun you have here the price is totally worth it.Sarahs yoga class is awesome too! Shes very in touch with who she is and the needs of others. I LOVE the essential oils she passes around in class and she is great with beginners (me for example). Im super looking forward to the Valentines Day class!Overall Fighting Fit is the most genuine place Ive ever been too. Forrest and Sarah seriously care about everyone so much. They make it a priority to get to know you personally and make you feel welcome. I get so bummed if I have to miss a class. Im only 3 weeks in and I already love that fact that I can walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded haha. They let you modify the workouts to your ability, they work with your schedule, and they have really good deals going on all of the time. Dont sleep on this!Im not so good with typing out words and stuff lol.. But this is one of the few places that I actually felt like deserved my time and energy to write a review
I did the 6 week challenge and loved it. Great group of people with an encouraging and up beat attitude. I hadnt really worked out since I have my first kid 6 years ago and I was really worried I wouldnt be able to hang or even worse, would be holding other more advanced people up. But to my surprise there were people in there working out everyday who looked like me. And bc most things are individual I didnt have to worry about trying to go at any speed but my own speed, which was awesome. You have to put some money on the line to do the challenge but if you lose 20lbs you get it back. The money definitely is a huge motivating factor. And they have an accountability coach and a nutritionist with a diet plan to help you. You can also roll your money into a membership and that way even if you dont make weight you wont lose it.Over all awesome program and challenge. If you have the weight to lose and are motivated I would recommend it!
This gym is a gem up north! I’ve had trouble finding a gym that fits and delivers on a commitment to keeping fit. However I’ve completed their 6 week challenge and have gone down a pant size during the Thanksgiving holidays which blew my mind! With dedication and showing up to classes and following their meal plan I feel you can definitely lose those extra 20 lbs. This gym truly feels like a supportive family. Go check it out when you get a chance!
I have been going to Fighting Fit Boot Camp since Jan 2017 and it has been such a change to my life. The trainer are so amazing they are so motivating and encouraging to meet your goals. I went into this thinking I am going to try it but I dont know if I will be able to stick it out due to 2 knee surgeries. I could barely kick the bottom of the bag and I could not do a sit up or a plank never did i feel like I stood out. Now I can do a plank and a sit up or more and I know I can push myself and reach the extra mile. I went in at the heaviest ever 395 lbs now weighing 215 lbs I wore a size 22/24 and now wear 14/15. I have muscle now and I am toned more than I thought was possible and I am so thankful for the day I walked into this gym for a 6 week challenge to try something new. This gym is more family than a gym. Im thank each and everyone of the coaches for helping me and pushing me to reach my goals.
I have been needing extra motivation to start exercising again and increase my stamina, focus on my health and just feel good again. This place has done just that. The coaches are very motivating and everyone is so welcoming. I hope this year brings me closer to my goals and achieving my desired weight and health. If your looking for smaller classes and more interaction with your coach. This place is perfect.
Over the past couple of years, an old plantar fasciitis injury returned and I also needed surgery to repair a torn meniscus in my knee. My body reminded me I wasnt as young as I thought I was. I had to quit doing strenuous exercises and let my body heal itself. When I felt it was time to get back into a regular exercise routine, a friend and I decided to try out Fighting Fit Boot Camp for the two week free trial. After just one week, we signed up for regular classes. We ended up really enjoying the workouts. Although, Im exhausted after every workout, I really enjoy it and Im gradually becoming stronger.I have to admit the name boot camp made me nervous. I thought someone would be yelling at me to do more and be faster. But I was wrong. The coaches motivate you and make sure youre doing the exercises correctly. When work or life gets in the way and I dont make it to Fighting Fit, I really miss it. I would definitely recommend trying it out, even if you think you cant do the workout. You will get stronger.
Simply put, I love everything about this place! Forrest and the rest of the instructors are very knowledgeable, friendly, and provide hard, fun workouts. I have been participating in the 6-week challenge. I have been going through some tough times as of late and coming to this gym and having the instructors and other members there has provided me with a place of consistency and friendly faces. It also has given me a place to really kick some butt!
I initially signed up for a six week class but I loved the classes so much I decided to get a yearly membership. Classes are a lot of fun and they make working out seem less of a chore and super enjoyable. I especially love the yoga classes, the instructor uses essential oils which I think is super relaxing . All of the instructors are great and supportive. I highly recommend this gym.
I’ve been here a half dozen times. The staff is very encouraging and strives to make everyone feel welcome. I get a nice combination of cardio, strength, and boxing-kickboxing skills training. They offer a good variety of classes, days and times. The teacher/student ratio is small so I get my share of attention. Great place for a workout, especially for an old guy like me!
Inlove with this gym! It has such a welcoming, friendly and judgement free atmosphere! The coaches are amazing and super encouraging, they always take the time to help and make sure you are doing it right! The people are super nice I definitely recommend Fighting fit boot camp!! I actually love going to the gym which is something I’d never thought I’d say :)
Im in my 3rd week of the Fighting Fit Transformation Challenge at Fighting Fit Boot Camp Austin. I still have a long way to go, but I am having a blast! Im getting good exercise, pushing my limits both physically and mentally, making new friends, learning new things, and feeling great about myself!Krav Maga training is an interactive and fun way to get in shape. The CLASSES are a super positive environment with women from all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. The COACHES are motivational and super encouraging! Forrest Caudill and his team continually bless me (and all the students) with a sense of empowerment and lots of praise for giving my all - even though sometimes its not very pretty. I never feel judged, and they make me want to keep going.Fighting Fit Boot Camp Austin will be starting a kids class soon! I recommend this experience for any young person who wants to get fit, learn self defense, or boost their confidence.Oh yeah, and theres classes for dudes too... if you can hang. Just saying. 🤕 lol
First off, I lost 23 lbs in 6 weeks!😍I came to fighting fit because at the moment in my life a needed a change. I had just lost my mother. Which sent me to a place of depression and overeating. Along with that i was diagnosed with diabetes and hypertension. My mother told me before she passed away to get myself healthy. So I wiped my tears away and joined Fighting fit 6 week challenge. I met with Coach Forrest and his wife Sarah who were super sweet and understanding of my needs.Overall I had a great experience. Its like having a huge family of supporters. You will feel amazing and you will not be disappointed!
Coach Matt, Ivan, and Forrest are AMAZING coaches! They motivate, explain, and are very committed to the success of the class!Very focused atmosphere and classmates are motivative as well.I brought my 9 year old daughter to class with me today and she was able to keep up with the instruction. I look forward to every class and cant wait to see a kids program.Couldnt be more thankful to find such a great place to challenge myself!
Both my son and I go to the kickboxing classes and we both love them! He goes to the kids class on M/W/F and it is so wonderful for giving him a great workout at the end of the school day. He is better able to focus on his homework, eats a better dinner, and is just becoming stronger and more coordinated every day. I love the classes because they are a fantastic workout for me and the coaches are great. I cant say enough good things about this place!
A little over a month ago, I came across an advertisement on Facebook that I was unsure about, but curious nonetheless. I clicked the ad and watched a video. Honestly, I was skeptical, but I did some research on Fighting Fit Boot Camp. Turns out, it was a legit business. Okay. Ill bite. I thought to myself, so I showed up to interview for the 6 Week Challenge. The people: nice. The price: affordable. I have been interested in joining an MMA gym for a year or so, so why not? I signed up. After the first week, I knew that not only did I want to continue, but I wanted to keep going beyond the 6th week and learn more about how to knock the crud out of a would-be opponent while also getting a workout. Along with eating healthier, this program has me down almost 10 pounds in less than a month. Coach Forrest is positive, knowledgeable, and has a nice delivery with his coaching. He wants you to get better. He often works one on one with members who want to improve their skills. He hops around the gym punching and kicking bags whenever theres a brief moment. You can tell he loves this, and thats important. The bottom line of this novel is that Im getting in shape and having fun while doing it. For once in my adult life, I feel like I can stick with a training regiment. Big thanks to Coach Forrest and all the other coaches of Fighting Fit Boot Camp!
Fighting Fit (and Coaches Forrest and Sarah) have been invaluable in empowering me and strengthening me through a very tough year. Their hands-on coaching, careful attention to technique, and enthusiastic encouragement helped me and dozens of other women find confidence, results and discipline in a few short weeks of starting kickboxing/Krav Maga classes from scratch.I genuinely hated working out before this year, but have found a lot of fun and enjoyment in learning to trust my body and know what limits I can push with myself. I cant decide which aspects of class I enjoy the most - the actual punching-bag parts which were great for stress relief; the core work we did to make sure we were strong throughout; or last but not least, the strong camaraderie and sense of community I shared with the other class participants who were working toward the same goals I was. Forrest and Sarah as well as the other Fighting Fit coaches also created a private Facebook group for us to encourage each other outside of the studio, which really contributed to the sense of family we built within a few short weeks. While this boot camp wasnt just all about results for me, a really nice validation came about when a friend who hadnt seen me in a couple of months said Whoa, I thought you were fit before, but whatever youve been doing has made you SUPER toned.Thank you so very much, Forrest and Sarah, for doing what you do so tirelessly. You do an amazing job of building accountability and community for people who otherwise would be too intimidated to step foot inside the studio. Your mamas would be so proud of you!
About a year and a half ago, I was hospitalized for a condition that was caused by a sedentary, unhealthy lifestyle that almost killed me. That was a wake up call for me. Someone I knew told me about this gym and I ended up joining with them. Ive been training with Forrest and the other coaches for about half a year now, and Ive definitely seen changes. I started with his Jeet Kune Do class, but I eventually began attending the boot camp and kickboxing as well. I go when I can, sometimes that means 3-4 times a week, sometimes only 2, but regardless of how frequent your visits are you will always be greeted like you never left. The coaches are very kind, and they know their stuff. If youre having trouble with an exercise, or your form is off during the kickboxing, they will work with you to correct it. Youll never be made to feel like youre wasting time, or being a hassle. The atmosphere is very easy going, everyone gets along with each other and jokes around with each other. Ive even made friends with many of the people, coaches and students alike. The classes are designed to work you out, and make sure you have a good time doing it. (Because no one likes boring.) The classes are never the same thing twice, theyre always mixing it up and trying new things to get you going.I recommend this place to everyone. Whether youre a beginner making a lifestyle change, or a fitness junkie whose been exercising since the beginning of time, youll always be welcome. I wouldnt trade this place for any other.
This place is fantastic if you want a good workout in a non-pretentious environment. Coach Forrest and the other coaches I met are supportive and provide so much encouragement which is exactly whats needed to push yourself. You sweat, youre sore, but eager to keep challenging yourself to get to the next class and meet up with classmates who are challenged just as yourself. No egos here, just people trying to improve themselves whether weight loss is the goal, increased flexibility, stamina, or just increasing overall movement for better cardio health. It doesnt hurt to learn to throw a punch or kick as well. I know I am punching and kicking harder after only a few classes b/c of the form they teach. This includes a total transformational lifestyle change, so that means options for nutritional meal planning that leave you full, energized, and never left hungry too. The meal plan is easy to follow using an app on your phone and the delicious recipes utilized are on the BigOven website too if you wish to use a laptop during meal preparation. The meal plan also includes shopping lists for completing the recipes to allow you good food choices depending on which plan is followed (because you do have 4 different meal plan options) for specific recipes when shopping. You literally have everything you need to help drive weight loss and better nutrition at your fingertips right in the middle of the grocery store. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone I meet. I fully expect to meet my fitness goals and continue this healthy lifestyle change well into the future.
I dread exercise. I knew after grad school demanded a more sedentary lifestyle that I needed to make more of an effort to work out, so I tried a few different classes at various gyms and studies in north Austin. I discovered Fighting Fits 6 week challenge through Facebook and liked the idea of a short-term commitment at a reasonable price. Im now five weeks in and can honestly say I *NEVER* dread going to my workouts three days a week. Coach Forrest has wonderful energy, is exceedingly positive, and mixes things up so that were never bored and have practical self-defense tips that can translate to real life. The challenge comes with an app (iPhone AND Android friendly!) to help you plan meals and track your progress, so if youre not already on top of those other aspects that lead to a healthier life change theyve got all the supports you need. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who doesnt like pretention or judgment and just wants a supportive space to do kickboxing and/or a short-term fitness challenge.
I had a 2 strokes in 2014 right before Halloween. Needless to say, that was a wake-up call to get my @$$ in gear and start taking care of myself first. I had been going to a gym and lost 65 lbs. but it starting getting stale and I needed to find something to get my motivation kick-started again. I still have issues with strength and getting my right side to listen to my brain, but I had seen a significant amount of improvement in just 3 weeks. Taking your frustrations out on the bags is empowering and liberating. No Matter where you are at physically or mentally, this is the right fit for anyone. Update Dec. 2018 I’ve lost 30 lbs since January and 38.51 inches and I have noticed a lot of muscle. If you have any kind of limitation due to an injury or illness PLEASE, PLEASE….don’t let that stop you, the trainers are awesome and they genuinely care about all of us and they will give you modifications to meet you where you are at in your recovery. The hardest part(mentally) is getting the courage to get in touch with Forrest and walking through the gym door for the very first time. I think this quote from Martin Luther King sums it all, “YOU DON’T HAVE TO SEE THE WHOLE STAIRCASE, JUST TAKE THE FIRST STEP!” If you have any questions call Forrest or snag me at the gym I’m always there most days…..I can’t help it I’m addicted, I’m getting healthy and I love my gym family & I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they love me and will help me achieve my GOALS!!!
Great place to work out and learn self defense. Instructors are awesome and motivate you in a positive and self empowering way. They dont yell at you to motivate you (which I hate at some places) and you work out at your pace. They make sure you are using the correct technique so you dont hurt yourself. Inches started to fade away before I knew it and I regained my muscle tone. I cant fully explain how much fun it is, you just have to try it. Sifu Forrest Caudill and Coach Hannah are the best. Forrest finds creative ways to keep everyone engaged with informative newsletters, special classes and fun Saturday events. He truly loves what he does and it shows in the level of dedication to his members.Come join the fitness fun! Nobody I know has regretted the results! I am sore and definitely going back for more! ---Lisa
I was looking for a change in lifestyle. I signed up for the 6 week challenge in April knowing I couldnt do a lot of the exercises but knew I wouldnt quit if I made this commitment. The coaches are amazing and encouraging. If youre looking to make a change and need encouragement- this is the place. I signed up for the year, look forward to every workout and know this is the best decision I have made for myself.
Dont pay for individual trainer sessions at a traditional gym - they will try and tell you that something like kickboxing or a fighting boot camp class is one-dimensional and then charge you 5 times as much for half as many classes to me the VALUE is in the small class groups! you still get individual attention, the energy level is off the charts! and the all around positivity of the environment from forrest and Sarah is amazing!
Mike Massie is a very positive personable martial artist and trainer. I trained with him for 3.5 years in Georgetown and loved it. Ive been to Fighting fit and the work outs are fun and time flies by. You will not find yourself staring at the clock praying the minutes away. Fighting Fit will have you getting conditioned then losing pounds. The kickboxing class is my favorite. Its not a fufu aerobics class. You learn how to punch and kick pads properly but dont worry youll never get beat up! Mike will cheer you on and he wont let you slack which is what many of us need. My favorite part of this workout is going home hopping in the shower and feeling like I really did something good for my body and still have plenty of energy to take care of home duties.
This isn’t something I do often but I absolutely need to brag on Fighting Fit Boot Camp Austin and the 6 week challenge that I just completed. I’m shocked and in awe of the progress I saw during the challenge. The results speak for themselves. By attending the classes, following the meal plan, and sweating... a lot I saw more of a transformation in my body than I’ve ever seen working out on my own and my physique looked better than it has in years. 10/10 would recommend to someone looking to challenge their body and get into better shape.
I was looking for motivation to get in shape and boy did I find it! Coach Forrest is very experienced in training and fitness. They will provide you with everything you need to become a stronger fitter version of yourself, all you have to do is show up. Great place, kind people, and loads of fun!
This place is awesome! The coaches are knowledgeable and recognize the different levels of their members. If you have some experience and pretty active, they will push you by modifying the exercises to be more difficult. If you are new and barely getting into fitness, they will scale it down to make sure you dont get hurt will still pushing yourself. The community puts this place above and beyond other places Ive worked out. The Facebook community holds you accountable while making it fun to be part of a group. You will see results in a fun and active gym like this one. Follow the diet plan, it works. I started at 222.3 LBs and in 6 weeks, I weighed 199.8 LBs. Get results and have fun doing it at this gym!
I never write reviews, but Im writing this one. Loved my time at Fighting Fit. Only stopped going because I moved. For maximum pain, go to the boot camps. For maximum fun, go to the kickboxing classes. For maximum zen, go to yoga. They give you everything you need to release stress and burn a bunch of calories in a super constructive environment. All the people there are awesome too!
NOTE: Read the owner’s response to my long review. He only said the info about raising prices werent not true and that he didn’t like being called dumb. He didn’t disagree with anything else. Must be true! So again if you like paying a ton of money for classes you can’t get into and being treated like trash by a guy who you pay to provide you a service go ahead and sign up.AVOID THIS GYM!!! IT IS NOT A GOOD PLACE!!!I have been going to this gym for a year. At first it was great and the trainers were awesome. They are still awesome. But lately the owner has been raising rates without notice. He told several people if they didn’t want to be part of the gym anymore that they could leave and find a dirtier place to pay less.He now has class size limits that make it impossible to get workouts in. Plus, you have to buy an unlimited membership even though the class limits are there. So you are paying a bunch of money for something you can’t use.He continues to market and add new members. The new members make it even harder to get into classes. Complain? Not his problem! Wanna buy some supplements? All the owner cares about is money and buying new equipment for the gym that no one uses. The only people that use the new equipment are his martal arts classes.Get ready to be talked down to as well! Most of the people at the gym are intelligent and have good careers. But the owner who isn’t very intelligent and is now a meat head martial arts guy to make up for the fact that he didn’t have any friends in school will try to explain things to you. They make no sense. Challenge him or ask for clarification and he or his equally unintelligent wife will threaten to kick you out. This used to be a great gym. Everyone liked each other. Everyone liked the trainers. We still do. But no one likes the big headed but nothing inside the head owner. Whenever he teaches a class, only about 1/4 of the people show up. The worst part is that he is too dumb to realize no one likes him.So if you like buying an unlimited membership, being unable to attend most classes you want, and having a dumb meathead try to convince you the sky is purple, this is the gym for you.If you are smart though, you’ll find a different place to workout.
I joined the 6 week challenge last week, at first i was worried being 250 pounds and not working our for at least 8 years that it would be too hard and the guys around me would be more fit and walk laps around me. But here im a week later i just got done with my third class, and im loving it . The coaches there are awesome, they give out great support and they really show that they care! I dont feel uncomfortable at all! So if your thinking about coming here, you should and if your unsure just come by check it out and ask them questions you never know if you dont try . I feel my body getting into shape and the hurt feels good and i cant wait for my next class.... thanks fighting fit boot camp and a big thanks to coach forrest!
Came to the gym for the six week challenge. Fell in love with the classes and the trainers. The martial class is my favorite. Learned ALOT of new fighting techniques and moves. Kickboxing class was exhilarating, great cardio workout and it also helped refine my boxing skills. Would definitely sign up for a membership if I had the finances
What can I say, about Fighting Fit, that has not already been said. When you walk in the door and you hear Hello and your name, that just doesnt happen at other gyms. These coaches Are Awesome, you will sweat, you will get tired and you will be sore, but you will want to go back for more.So what are you waiting for...Just go, you will be glad you did. Member since 2015.
I dont think Ive ever written a review on anything, but I want to shine some praise on this place! I saw an ad on facebook and tagged 3 friends and all of us joined for the 6 week challenge, IVE NEVER FELT BETTER! This was probably the best decision Ive ever made. Everyone is so nice and supportive, my body cant thank me enough for joining this program. The meal plans include delicious recipes and Im hooked on healthy cooking! I cant wait to see my results in a whole year. Very excited to continue my journey of wellness here 💕
I had a stroke almost 3 yrs. ago right before Halloween. Needless to say, that was a wake up call to get my ASS in gear and start taking care of myself first. I had been going to a gym and lost 65 lbs. but it starting getting stale and I needed to find something to get my motivation kick-started again. I still have issues with strength and getting my right side to listen to my brain, but I have seen a significant improvement in just 3 weeks. Taking your frustrations out on the bags is empowering and liberating. No Matter where you are at Physically or Mentally, this is the right fit for anyone.
I signed up at the beginning of the 6 weeks challenge and lost 10 pounds and gained a lot of muscle during that challenge. Its not just a really good workout but the work outs we do are a lot of fun. So I signed up for a year long membership because I have had a awesome time doing it and I plan to continue to do it for a while at least.
This place is a one stop shop for all your Self Defense and Fitness needs. Their Krav Maga, Jeet Kune Do and Kickboxing classes are like to other. The Instructors are friendly, patient and always striving to make each class exciting. They take the extra time to break down the proper movements and techniques to where anyone is able to learn them. Classes are always small in size to provide more of a one on one experience.Being a single mother of 2 small children and having no prior training in Self Defense or Martial Arts,I was a bit apprehensive about joining but after my first (free) class, I was hooked. I feel confident in my ability to defend and protect my children against an assailant. I would recommend everyone try this place at least once. You wont regret it! Prices are reasonable.
This gym has been my saving grace. I look forward to stepping in here and seeing all of the smiling faces. The level of motivation I get from everyone is wonderful. I can dragging behind and all I hear is motivational voices around me.This has been a life saver and my personal therapy.
The difference is the trainers. Forrest is such a positive coach and will motivate and push you while understanding and modifying exercises for physical limitations. Sure you can join any gym, but the difference here is the trainers who care and arent just out for your money.
I used to pass by this place everyday on my way to and from work and decided to check it out online. I put in a request for more information and received a call in less than an hour. The conversation made me feel welcomed before I even stepped foot inside. The coaches are motivating, helpful, they make an effort in making the workouts unique and for all experience levels. This place has changed my life!
Ive been apart of the Fight fit community for 3 years now. I was originally looking for a good martial arts spot and came across this place that does Kick boxing, fitness work outs, and Jeet Kune Do (thats the art Bruce Lee founded) Ive fallen in love with the community here. Theres a big emphasis on the community and using the Facebook group to communicate and have fun showing off our work outs and progress. Right now Im enjoying benefits of personal training to help me develop my body and fighting skills while being able to stay safe during this pandemic.
Just started a 6 week all mens challenge...at first i didnt think it was my type of workout since i lift weights ,i got thru my first week an im hooked...completely different from what i expected..couches keep u very motivated an wanting more...u stay moving around an heart pumping...mos def recommended...
I can’t believe that it already has been about 2 months from my first meeting with Coach Forrest,I did have to miss couple of weeks for my job,but I am still coming in to the gym instead of giving upMost of the time, due to my work, pulling couple of all-nighters is a usual schedule for meAnd those schedule always made me give up living healthy life;sleep cycle changes, not eating right, convincing myself that I have no energy to work outHowever, for the past couple of months,I really felt like I have a reason and a place to come back/get back to a healthy lifestyle because of Coach Forrest, Coach Corey, and even other gym membersI never felt left out, always feel that welcoming atmosphere whenever I walk in to the gymMy goal started as very small, trying to be in the gym at least twice a week, and I feel like I achieved the goal (unless I have some work to do)Now I’m trying to go to the gym 3 times a week as I getting into the shape, mentally and physicallyGoing to the gym twice a week seemed easy, but it was a really big first step for me to get out of my depressionHonestly, my expectation of the experience with the gym wasn’t big, just to start to build a good habit by working out, because I really felt like I was losing control of my life and kept slipping away,I was also avoiding meeting new ppl, due to my depressionBut the actual experience was soooooo much more than just “working out”As I gain more energy as well as get in shape;I could get up in the morning and could start my day earlier than before,My sleep quality got so much better,Started to think positively,Started to think about nutrition because I want a good amount of energy to work out, etc…Everything just followed automatically after training hereNow, even one of my friend got motivated to live healthier life because me, by witnessing my changes right next to meCoach Forrest will ask each one of the starting member “Who do YOU want to be a year from now?, a new version of yourself” to set up some goalsI really feel like I took a good first step to become “Jacob 2.0” (although it is more like Jacob 3.0, because for me Jacob 1.0 was very active one, 2.0 had bad lifestyle, and here I am trying to change my bad habits)I really thank Coach Forrest and Coach Corey for being patient with me as well as sincerely caring about me,I am really looking forward to see more positive changes in my lifeAnd lastly….YES! I’m having so much fun at the gym every time I train with the coaches and the gym members!
The coaches and training partners are wonderful. Finding a place to train again that was welcoming has been wonderful for my life. Having the option to do several different martial art styles has not only helped my mental health but my physical health as well. The coaches have been understanding with my erratic schedule and never make me feel bad. This place is great for anyone who wants to learn and not feel like they will be judged. I absolutely love it.

2022-05-12I joined Fighting Fit back in 2017. Forrest and all of the members made me feel very welcome from the very first introduction class. It felt like a warm family out to encourage, cheer and help one-another.With a very inclusive culture, the gym has welcomed and continues to welcome members from all walks of life, from folks like me with zero prior training in anything to folks with past experience in several fighting arts.Over the years, my membership has provided me with solid foundations for learning how to move, take better care of my body and myself overall, while making friends. With these foundations and adjusting my nutrition and lifestyle, Ive managed to lose 80lbs from my peak weight, and am currently in the best physical shape of my adult life.In my opinion, Fighting Fit is a great place for anyone looking to explore a healthier and happier version of themselves.

2022-07-29Welcome to the BEST GYM EVER! If you hate working out alone on a treadmill to nowhere, then I strongly encourage you to give Fighting Fit a shot. I’ve been a member for almost 10 years and here are some of my favorite things about being a part of this Fighting Fit family:1. You never get bored! The variety of class formats changes daily. What you did in kickboxing class yesterday is different than what you are doing today.2. The coaches are awesome 😎. I can’t say enough about Forrest, Corey, Sarah, Lexi, Luis, Ivan and all of the coaches I’ve met over the years. They know your name, they care, and they will help you reach your goals. They are also a lot of fun to work out with too 😉3. Nutrition coaching has been life-changing for me. I am participating in the 1-N-Done program and lost 60 pounds. Life throws its curves at you but despite that, Sarah and Forrest have been there to encourage me and continue to help me reach my nutrition and health goals today.I could go on and on but I won’t. Bottom line if you are looking for quality, look no further. You don’t have to be alone on your health and fitness journey - so give Fighting Fit a call today!

2022-07-15From my first meeting with the coaches at Fighting Fit, it became abundantly clear that I found a school dedicated to my growth and enrichment. Coach Forrest especially goes above and beyond in adapting his teaching style and methodology to his student, which makes private lessons genuinely catered towards the individual. Not only that, but the community aspect of learning resources and weekly communications enhances the overall experience. I’ve been taking private lessons for little over a month now, and I’m excited to keep going. If I could give 10 stars, I would, and this is after seeing several different martial arts schools.

2022-04-14I have been a member here for a couple of years now. I have learned so much in so little time. Coach Forrest and Coach Sarah have given me so much insight on weight loss. Coach Corey helped me gain the confidence to compete in my first kickboxing tournament, which was amazing. I will not name every coach for lack of space but they are all good at bringing out your best. This gym is more a family community than a gym. If you’re looking for great friends then you should book a class.

2021-12-28I visited Fighting Fit while in town from upstate NY for Christmas. I really enjoyed the class format and the pad work! 2022-06-16Who would of thought I would be so lucky as to have a Jeet Kune Do instructor so close to my house! I genuinely look forward to class every week. The class is tiny, the attention is complete, and Ive been learning practical skills from the first lesson.Coach Forrest is great, as are the other instructors. Every student Ive met here has been friendly and talkative. The atmosphere is pleasant to be in, and good food next door is never a bad thing. 😄If you have any interest in the assortment of styles offered here, definitely check the place out. Its way more fun than a traditional gym!

2022-05-06You’re going to love it here!! I hated working out and struggled with staying consistent until I joined Fighting Fit Austin. All of the coaches have a wonderful way of keeping things interesting and making you feel like part of the family. I have truly enjoyed the process of learning new techniques and watching my body transform like never before. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend.

2022-03-31Cant say enough good things about this place! I did a lot of research looking for the right gym because I knew I needed a place that would be kind to a beginner and where I could make friends/have fun -- the only way I could get myself to exercise regularly.I emailed Forrest and he responded right away with an invite to a free kickboxing class. I was so nervous to show up, but SO glad I did. The coaches are super nice, the classes are energizing, and the people who attend are kind/lovely/encouraging. I started with kickboxing but Ive been adding on Muay Thai classes for a few months and Im addicted.Id never pictured myself trying this sport/activity and really grateful I found the perfect environment to do this in.Highly recommend to anyone looking to build stamina, get in shape, and/or improve their confidence and mental health -- by far the best thing Ive gotten out of it so far :)

2022-05-25I’ve done a lot of gym-hopping in my life, but I always end up back at Fighting Fit.The whole team is incredible, and the amount of understanding and care you receive makes it easy to work on your goals. Martial arts? Done. Weight loss? Thoughtful and your choice, not pushed.I tend to have a lot of social anxiety for a variety of reasons, and having the choice of private training and group classes makes a huge difference in my ability to return to training after missing a week. Every session leaves me feeling strong and accomplished.

2022-06-07This review is long overdue. I started going to Fighting Fit about two months before everything closed because of Covid. For those two months, I absolutely loved it. The trainers were amazing, the class times matched with my schedule, they had a mix of boxing and Boot Camp classes which I really loved. I started off with a six week challenge, and lost 14 pounds in six weeks. It was a great way to gain motivation and see results quickly. When everything shut down, I was worried that I would lose the motivation that I had just recently found. Luckily, the owners decided to sell some of their old boxing bags to clients at that time so I purchased one for home and it saved my fitness! The owners are super creative and were able to solution remote classes for their members. The virtual live classes didnt fit my schedule, but I was able to watch recorded sessions, and that got me through the next year. They opened the gym sooner than that, but I didnt feel comfortable going back with Covid still at large and me with a new baby in tow (yes, COVID baby boom got me too). The owners were super accommodating, met with me remotely often, and tried to find a way to meet my needs even though I was just one of many members.I took a few personal training sessions with the owner, Forrest, and learned so much during those brief sessions.I have knee issues and have since I was 17, so I was a little wary trying out a new boxing gym of all things, but the trainers are really wonderful and cater to each of the members.I cant say enough good things about Fighting Fit. The owners really go out of their way to accommodate their members, they host fun member events and are really creative in finding new ways to grow and evolve.
