This Firehouse subs is a joke. Took over 30 minutes to get a sandwich made! It’s not even busy and everyone has had to wait an exorbitant amount of time for simple orders. No reason for this place to be so badly run and managed. It’s ridiculous. Firehouse should take away this franchise to stop damaging their reputation.
Well the food is okay, the produce isnt fresh the lettuce is wilted and old,the tomato was hot as well, the pickle was hot and not crisp/crunchy . When I drove up the place was slow/empty and no one at the drive through so no excuse for the tables to be dirty upon arrival no one greeted me upon entry I had to engage conversation with them, again the place is empty the drink area was clean and I was served in an decent amount of time yet again no one was there. Its about 6pm. And empty Guess Alvin is giving up on this place.
If I could give this place less than one star I would. I walk in, stand there up front and literally non of the workers say anything. After I ask the lady twice behind the counter if they were open, she told me it was shift change and nobody could help me place my order. Terrible process and operation be the way.So I went to the restroom to give them time hoping they would be ready when I got back and they were not. So I walked out without eating. Poor service and people skills in the place. Do not waste your time.
This is the worst Firehouse I’ve been too. There was food all over the floor and tables the drink station was a mess with lids and napkins scattered everywhere and no ice. When I got there one employee was trying to manage drive thru and counter. I’ve never had my sandwich finished before I got my drink it was slapped together falling apart. I usually go to Rosenberg TX location and the manager has that location pristine. Won’t be back to Alvin location
The manager here is very unfriendly, and does not care what the customer wants. I can see why they have 2 stars. Apparently you can only order whats on their menu, no custom subs, no substitutions unless you want to pay $3 like its extra instead of a substitution. I’ve ordered this same sandwich this way dozens of times. I told her this and she said “I’m the manager so if they’re doing that they’re in trouble.” Very unprofessional. The customer doesn’t need to hear about your internal business problems or discipline. They also sell kids meals but have 0 kid drinks. No milk, juice, nothing. Well go somewhere else.
I placed this order before I left home, approx 5:50 pm. I arrived @6:14 pm. I arrived at the drive thru 1 min prior to the requested time. I told them that I had an online order. I was told to pull forward. There were 2 cars in front of me. 22 minutes later, I make it to the window. At that point I was asked what did you order?... That was bad enough... Then I continue to wait.... At 6:47 I was handed a bag of food.... So 50 minutes from the time that I ordered.... To get 2 sandwiches.... I could have went to a steakhouse, ordered ate and paid in 50 minutes..... Then I drive home to open the bag to find the wrong order..... You need to address this !!!!!
Tonight we got there around 8:10~8:15 they all 3 were young. Two young guys and one female. They all were plying around not being professional!! We sat for close to 30 minutes before we got our food and it was very cool temperature wise. I took few bites and wrapped it to go where I can heat it up then the guy comes out and says that we close at 9 p and I say “well we’ve not too long got our food he like ok I was just told to tell you” then I hear the girl in the back kitchen I think mocking our vibe we had going on saying “ can I speak to your manager??” And that’s exactly what I am doing tomorrow is calling the manager and writing this on TOA
Havent been here in over a year and it tasted exactly as I remembered it. I had a large pastrami sandwich that I ordered through the app. It was ready on time and it was made exactly as I ordered it. I only gave 4 stars because once I got towards the end of the sandwich (all the meat and veggies were eaten, a little bread was left) it tasted a little stale on its own.
Went here a couple weeks ago and stood inside waiting at the register while 3 people worked making subs. The manager was clearly stressed and rolled her eyes in my direction but never acknowledged me. Other customers looked my way shaking their heads as I continued to wait. After about 15 min of noone even saying we will be with you shortly so walked out. Very disappointed something needs to be done to improve the service.
Second day in a row we had to wait for over 20 minutes to have our order taken even though we were first in line. Yet the workers are just hanging out in back, talking. Didnt make an order either day. Just watched a lady waiting in the drive through drive off after getting tired of waiting. I guess making sandwiches is just too difficult for some.
I ordered the smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket today through Uber eats and I will never order firehouse again. There was literally 1 piece of brisket on my sandwich. In addition, I ordered chili and Mac and cheese. Both containers were barely half full. Definitely a rip off and the worst experience I can imagine!!! Also, I received the response that Firehouse hopes Ill try them again. To that I say, burn me once shame on you and burn me twice shame on me. Since you refuse to make it right, I wont give you another chance and Ill tell everyone I know to avoid you also. By looking at your feedback, I see my experience is the regular experience.
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ordered food online, was told it would be ready for pickup at 2:05. I sat inside the restaurant next to the “contactless pickup” until 2:25. At this time approaching the counter to ask about my food to find out it was on the back counter behind the meat steamers. When handed the food, Mallory was VERY rude and laughed saying “have a great day” my fiancé was understandably upset and replied “I’ll try” she then proceeds to say “you should have said something” he said we were waiting in here for 25 minutes to which she replied “you want to cry about it” when asked her name she said Mallory. When asked her managers name she states “she doesn’t know” the other employee working would not acknowledge my question or even turn towards me.
I do love that they have that selection of sauces. However...staff tends to be very uninterested in listening. My order has never been right, and its kinda expensive when it comes to what you pay and what you get. They do keep it clean. But the staff could be a bit more attentive. It takes them a long time to make your order so its frustrating when it takes a long time to get your food and then it isnt right.
Place sucks and expensive no meat in the sandwich and took to long with no one in the restaurant very young inexperienced employees goofing off while making the food also no sauces on counter to choose from and bottles where all empty the dude taking the order seemed like he didnt want to work and restaurant was dirty.
This place takes FOREVER. Literally a waste of time. Will not go to this one again. Its ridiculous to wait 40+ minutes for 1 sub.Not to mention waiting for someone to take my order, as I was standing at the registers waiting and they all ignored me.If this is your last option, eat at home - itll be faster.
I drove to this restaurant, all the way from Dickinson. After arriving back at home, one of our subs were made wrong. It had mayo on it when I requested no mayo. Now my daughter is upset because she hates mayo. Called the store for a credit because I did not want to make that drive, which was 45 minutes round trip. They asked me to bring the sub back for credit and ONLY if I bring it back. So before you leave this store, check your order because this happens frequently. This is not a corporate store and is owned by an individual.I will not return to this Firehouse ever again.
Ive always really liked the food at Firehouse Subs with no exemptions here. However, I was here recently and the staff was kind of rude not only to me but I saw another staff member being rude to someone else who simply just asked for a plastic fork or something. She said to him quote, sir you need to get your mask on. While I was waiting, someone said to me quote, sir dont touch the counter. It was in a rude tone. Again, I love Firehouse Subs, however I dont think I really want to go to this particular one again.
The sandwiches are huge compared to a subway sub - so far Ive tried 3 different sandwiches which were all so delicious I couldnt tell you which ones my favorite ! I think its safe to say , no matter what you get here - you will not be disappointed. I cant tell you what the inside looks like , my husband went through the drive-thru everytime and brought dinner home .
I ordered through uber eats to have my order delivered. When it was delivered, there were items missing, that I had paid for. When I called the restaurant and informed them of my missing items, the girl I spoke with, Sara, responded with oops, I guess I read the order wrong.... I then asked what they were going to do about my missing items, and she said youre more than welcome to drive over here and get it at no charge. I was shocked and asked her if it was their policy to make their customers go out of their way to fix their mistakes!!? All she said back was sorry for the inconvenience.!! Im so disappointed in the customer service and lack of willingness to fix the situation, on top of my children missing half of their meals. This was my 1st, and now last, time ordering from this location.P.S. all the subs were ice cold and soggy, also. Thoroughly disappointed.
Weve had multiple instances, not just our current visit, but we order at drive through or at counter and have received the wrong or no items multiple times.Granted we usually eat here as a last minute save, due to family events or outings, within the hours of operation sometimes 15 to 20 minutes before closing. They have attempted to correct issue, on at least one occurrence, with offer of a free sub. Im pretty laid back and cool about the issues, I understand new employees/ busy/ or whatever issue, but at some point the issues still become an annoyance. The lack of experienced management or team leader with experience is more than likely a lot of the issue.Other than these issues the food, the cause, and the business model I support. Hopefully this store will be able to pull it together.
To start off, I really wanted to like this place. The staff seemed friendly and the cashier was polite towards us. We ordered three sandwiches. Two Turkey & Bacon Ranch, and a Steak & Cheese (no mushrooms). While waiting at one of the tables, we had plenty of time to look around the brand new restaurant. The tables and floor were dirty. Chairs not pushed in on several of the tables. Not too many people inside the restaurant, but the drive-thru was piling up. The workers seemed confused or nervous, but still managed to joke and try to keep the mood lighthearted. Thirty-five minutes later, we got our food (to go) and were ready to get out of there, get home and eat our delicious sandwiches. Neither of our Turkey & Bacon Ranch sandwiches had any bacon, and couldnt taste any ranch. Although we ordered the Steak & Cheese with no mushrooms, our sandwich came with mushrooms. The sandwiches were still pretty good, although if we ever decide to eat at this restaurant again we will dine in for a hot and fresh meal (our sandwiches were a bit cold and soggy from our drive home, which was our fault and to be expected). My advice to the Alvin Firehouse Subs restaurant manager and employees: 1.) Keep your restaurant clean. 2.) Learn how to make your sandwiches how theyre intended to be made, as advertised and sold. 3.) Show a little more professionalism and pride while working. 4.) Keep up the friendly greetings and vibes from all of employees that I saw tonight. Every one of you has great potential. New place, new job, new things to get use to? I get all that. Just need to step it up and turn this place into the booming business that it deserves. I wish you all the best and hope to see some improvements.
The sanwhches here are typical of firehouse subs- in other words, theyre great. Unfortunately, the wait time here is completely unacceptable for a sandwich. Period. Weve had to wait 20 or more minutes on 2 ocassions, and tonight was the last straw. We sat at the drive through window for 22 minutes after making the order, and we just left. There was NO ONE else there, just us. 4 employees and anything over 10 minutes for a sandwich is ridiculous. We waited 22- and we were never acknowledged at the window to boot. Wont return. If you need a sandwich from here, I recommend you call in 25 minutes in advance- for a sandwich. Ended up going to the subway across the street with literally one employee on staff and left with two tasty sandwiches in 5 minutes.
Terrible experience. Wont be returning. To start off their soda fountain was out of pretty much every soda that I had wanted. Then it gets better with the food, which mind you was just a sandwich so it shouldnt take that long to produce, took ages to make it to our table. When the young man dropped our food off we asked for pickles and they said they didnt have any right now because no one could figure out how to open the bucket. We sadly never received our pickles. I saw a man come in to pick up a to-go order and he was still waiting on his order by the time we had finished eating. Many disgruntled faces across the dining room wondering what was taking so long. There were at least six people on staff, so I dont understand.
Very disappointed but I should have read the reviews. Extremely slow drive thru service. Btw, you can barely even hear them on the speaker. A worker apologized about the wait, but blamed it on new employees. He still didnt give us all the non-sandwich items we ordered (drinks, chips, kids hat and treat). Then the person who brought the sandwiches was different. So when I asked him about the other items he acted annoyed or as though I was lying. Bring everything home and no one is happy. One sandwich was not made with the specifications that had been repeated back. The other looked correct but the flavor was off. With the mess up on one I cant help but question what was used on the other. Ofcourse the missing treat and hat made for an unhappy kid. Id try another location before I completely write Firehouse off.
I had one of the worst salads ever from this place. A coworker and I ordered the Italian with grill chicken salad. Its advertised as having salami and the grilled chicken. When I got back to work with it, there was no salami. The dressing is supposed to come on the salad. There was maybe 1tsp of dressing, if that on the salad. I literally picked out all the chicken and tiny cubes of mozzarella cheese and ate only that. There wasnt even a residue of dressing in the bowl. The guy in the drive thru was even asked where the dressing was and his reply was its on there, I made them myself. When you pay $20 for 2 salads, you expect better quality.
I was excited to try the Veggie sandwich. No cheese no mayo. After waiting for a bit (the female employee said hello and to please wait about 4 times) No biggie right. Gave my order apparently they were out of a few of the toppings. No biggie. The order also seemed difficult for her to understand. Pulled up to the window got my food drove off ate half of my medium sandwich even though they forgot the mustard and chopped pickles. Opened the second half and seen a tiny hair in the middle of it. So along with mediocre service the food was now also overly horrible. Walked in to return and get a refund. Mind you I dont know the last thing I got a refund for this is how disgusted I was. The girl that walked to the resigister Rhondo and she called her self was unpleasant. I asked her for a refund because of the hair and also mentioned how they forgot the mustard and chopped pickle. Her reply oh your the vegetable person and btw her long nails had half an inch of black dirt underneath them. What seemed like 10 minutes later she comes back w my change $7.99 (and gloves on) and tells me dont worry about the penny. She then takes the gloves off and continues to make food. As Im leaving the store shes talking to her co worker about me. Neither of them apologize. Needless to say this was probably one of if not the worst experiences Ive had at a restaurant. Better hygiene please and who is hiring these people? Shame on you for not enforcing better work ethic. 👎🏼3/24/2018 5:21pm Cashier: Elizabeth
Without any doubt the worst experience Ive had at a Firehouse! Not busy, and still had to wait 15 minutes for my sub. Then it was wrong. All Hot Sauce bottles were empty. No Manager was seen. Complained to corporate, still no responce. A real shame has I have used this location many times in the past for catering.Note; When you walk in a Firehouse and the Hot Sauce bottles are empty, walk out. If they dont care about those, chances are they dont about your meal.
Orders takes like a long time even for one person and last time i went, i ordered a meatball footlong sandwich and the meatballs were ice cold. And they were out of original dr pepper back then. This is worser then subway in customer service department.Feedbacks: faster wait time and fresh hot or normal temp regulated sandwiches. And refreshed the drinks stocks. Other then that or more inconveniences, i will stop coming here!
Worst Firehouse Subs I have been to yet.I am a regular customer to Firehouse Subs in Pasadena and La Porte.Since I was in Alvin today, i thought Id grab a Firehouse sub.First we ordered in th drive thru, very, very long wait. When we finally received our lunch, we took it to our destination in Alvin and discovered Firehouse subs with no cheese and the meat was dry. Just disgusting. We ordered 2 Heros and 1 club, on white, all the way. Nothing special!Save your self some money and skip the Alvin Firehouse Subs location.

2022-03-26I was the 2nd person to order my food, while 1 table eating. Then the lunch crowd hit. I still had to wait 35 minutes for 1 medium meatball sandwich. A few dine in orders were getting theirs before I was able to get my Togo order.

2022-05-16Made an online order and was called back a few minutes later. they were out of bacon, cheddar cheese and pepperoni. ok, no biggie I adjust our order. When I get there to pick it up, someone had taken our order and the kid at the window wanted me to take the wrong order like it was my problem someone took the wrong order. I told him no, I needed the correct order. they were just going to have to remake it. finally get my order and Im missing a kids meal and 2 of the sandwiches were still wrong. Finally get 4 sandwiches, (2 of them with the wrong toppings) and still have to ask for the rest of the kids meal. The kid just seemed so lost as what to do In such a situation. very frustrating as a customer. I ordered online so it would be ready when I got there, waited 20 minutes and STILL left with the wrong order!!

2022-02-22I hate to do this but enough is enough. I have been a loyal customer since the one in Alvin opened. Every Monday. Since then, it has been a 50/50 hit or miss. They are constantly out of something (ham, turkey, bacon, bread, or pickles) it is such a let down. When they do actually get it right, it tastes great. But its rare. The staff would be a 3 star. Some seem to care while others dont. But, being short staffed is on them, my daughter applied to work there and didnt hear from them. Prices went up which is disappointing.

2022-04-113 people working here and all took smoke breaks out back at the same time. 5 customers showed up while out back smoking. 2 customers left when on 1 came back in to work register. Poorly managed and no ice in ice machine. I have visited this place before and never had any issues. Staff needs to have some urgency in working here. Floors are dirty and maybe they need to be re- trained.

2022-06-21Service was good and was treated with respect. Came to try a specific sandwich and they were out of that particular meat. They were also out of several other meats and cheeses. My backup option turned out great.

2021-04-24First time at Firehouse Subs. The menu is abundant with different flavors and options. I ordered the Brisket BBQ sub. It was very tasty and the service was friendly and quick. The bread and ingredients are top notch. I love that its a more local spot for sandwiches. Ive been looking for a new sandwich place to replace the main sub chain. I think I found it.

2022-04-08The past several times, they are out of supplies - meat - and unable to fulfill requests or online orders. Online orders are paid for online prior to pickup. They will also quote how long it will take to complete but they always take longer. Did not enjoy soggy wet bread.

2022-05-30This place may take a bit to make a great sandwich but the employees provide a wonderful conversation every time I have been there. The wait is worth the sandwich.

2022-01-14Not good. I was told up front that there would be a wait. Was quoted 20 to 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches. It took over 50 minutes. They explained that 2 people had called in and they were getting overwhelmed with online orders. I blame the owner or the GM. Why didnt they come into help or turn off online ordering, yes you can.

2022-04-10Terrible experience. Service and food both bad. For example, I ordered the steak and cheese. Every steak and cheese sandwich has the meat chopped up. Not this one, it was layers of Steak Ums.
