This park is a very great way to exercise with motivation. The parking lot is clean, safe, and monitored. When you begin your walk/run/bike, you can enjoy the sounds of nature and sights of small wildlife. The best part about this trail is that you must finish it no matter what as you have to get back to your car completing the 2.8 miles. I recommend this park for people that are looking for a great way to peacefully exercise.
Love that Beaumont has this, but I do wish they would make it into a full loop. Also they need to get the water fountains working again. I understand COVID is around, but it’s not good to pass out from dehydration either. Also wish they had more shade like Memorial loop in houston.
Nice flat and well kept 2.8 mile paved trail off of dowlen.
My only complaint is that I wish they marked this Im quarter miles. A great place to walk a measured mile without being near traffic.
People need to run the trail on top of the hill more to keep it from fading through lack of use. Its there best part and a better workout! 💪🏃
A good place to get the endorphins jump started. It is 2.8 miles if you do the entire walk according to the markings. It has slopes and uphill portions for you to challenge your body. It is refreshing to see people greet one another as they pass on their way with a wave ir a head nod. The only negatives are the people who walk their dogs and do NOT pick up behind them, or the ENTIRE family members that walk side-by-side on the path causing others to walk in the grass.
Nice and quiet place to relax. I just stopped in to have a lunch break but ill definitly go back to walk the trails. Very clean and pretty place

Nice concrete trail and some beaten down dirt trails. Actual restroom would be nice. Seems to have lots of extra land which could be used to make different paths or longer trails.
Fun pathways with inclines and declines. fun trails to run and walk on the small hills when theyre dry. There are a few benches to rest on along the paths if needed. there is no shaded areas though

Great place to go. However there are pros and cons. I like how it isnt close to Folsom, with the large fields very pretty during spring. I dont like the far stretch from start to finish. Far from your vehicle. A co-worker had their vehicle broken into while they were out.
Such a beautiful hike! And pet friendly as long as you have them on a leash. I do wish it had another pet sanitary station or two along the trail though.
Very nice to walk and exercise and bring a bike or skates..
My go to place to run when I have time. The trail has better scenery than the others in Beaumont, Texas. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy running 👟👟
I wished the city could add a beautiful playground on the top of the hill with gazebos, grills and tables! It would sure be worth it! Maybe even add a stage for live music!

Place is great to walk/run but needs lights for the afternoons, a restoom and for everyone who likes to walk in the grass uphill area be careful with snakes we saw 2 water moccasins,
I love this place big wide open space at the hike and bike trail you can bring the grandkids and spread out its never too muddy. and plenty of parking. close to everything.

NICE PARK, BUTT LOTS OF CAR VANDALISM, MORE THEN 5 CARS IN 2 DAYS TIME. THIS WEEK.PLEASE BE CAREFUL, DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN CAR. MINE GOT BROKEN INTO BROKE WINDOW BUT MISSED MY WALLET. THEY ARE DUM THIEFS ALL THEY DO IS CAUSE AGRE ATION. THEY ARE DOING IT IN EITHER SIDE OF THE PARK.PLEASE BEWARE.

I wish there was a nicer restroom than a porta potty..which is always gross. Love the trail part though!

Very beautiful place for hiking, the only thing you should consider is that there is no shadow there. avoid going there in hot sunny days.
2.8 miles of serene, quiet, and pristine Texas fields. Its a great place to bring your cardio on.

2022-03-31There is no shade on the trail your in full sun and wind the whole way. The trail isnt a square or rectangle so you have turns which is more interesting than 90 degree left or right turns 4 times around

2021-12-27I come here all the time with my dog, everyone is very nice, it’s a clean area nice for a walk or run. There is no shade at all so bring water or a hat, and sunscreen.

2018-12-29Very well kept area except dog owners have not been picking up after their pups. Just grab a couple of bags on your way in and handle your dogs business, please. We noticed all the dog friendly areas around Beaumont have this same issue. Very sad.

2021-06-17One of my favorite things about living in Beaumont. Dont come out here when its hot midday because there is no shade. But, if you walk in the morning or at night, this place is perfect.

2021-11-19It nice for just strolling but i like bmx and skateboarding and Beaumont lacks both very much they could easily make a decent bmx/mtn bike track at the top of the hilllike if youd support this!
