Very small and you dont actually get to go inside the pens with the animals. And by animals, I mean goats and the crows that were eating the extra feed from the goats.$5 per person to get in, which means $10 for my 2yr old and myself. Feed was $3, which we didnt get.Goats were friendly, but only 2 or 3 came close enough to the fence to pet without giving them feed.Wouldnt go back. There are better places to spend $10.
Animals are SUPER aggressive trying to get to the food, even if you don’t have any. There was one goat out of the pens roaming free and jumping up on people. Animals also need to be taken care of better. Several of their hooves were curling up at the tips. Not a place for kids under 5. Website says $3/person, it’s actually $5 and the food is $3.
Took my 3 year old and 5 year old and was very disappointed. It says $3 per person but when we got there it was $5 per person all together for admission and 3 cups of food for the animals we paid $24 + $1 fee for using debit card. Thought it would’ve been way bigger but it was only 3 pins with some sheep, goats, and a lama that was it. You walk in a little circle around the 3 small pins and your done.. drove 45 minutes to get there not worth it! No workers there to talk to or anything. Just your 1 guy where you pay and that’s it! My kids were ok for like 15 minutes but then was board with it! Very hot in the tent also.
I loved it. I brought my two 3 year olds, one was afraid, one loved it.!! I read a review somewhere that this was $3 per person, but upon arriving I found it was $5 per person. I wasnt expecting to pay so much, but the fact that the kids got to do something different for a change was worth it. Also, they got to feed the animals. There were mostly goats, sheep from what I remember 1 cow, and a llama.Prices as of 3/20/2021: $5 per individual, $3 per feeding cup. Parking is $10.
Huge waste of money! Their website says its $3/person, but when we went today it was $5/person (including my 1 year old) + $3 for a cup of feed (+if you pay with credit card its an extra $1). The animals were very aggressive in trying to get the food which made both my kids very nervous. My 1 year old started crying after about 20 seconds of walking in and cried the rest of the time. My almost 3 year old wouldnt get anywhere close to the fence and didnt want to try to feed the animals at all. He was very tense the whole time, and although he enjoyed seeing the goats and sheep, was ready to go after a short while. There are only 3 small pens, and a few of the fences were not sturdy at all. At one point I thought one of the bigger goats was going to knock down the fence while trying to get our food. It took us about 5 minutes to go through the whole thing. I could not wait to get out of there! Would not recommend to anyone. Also, there was no hand sanitizer or hand washing station at all, which I feel is a must with animals and especially during COVID. Luckily I had some with me, but this should be required.
Took my one year old son here this past week. Entry fee was $3, per person. I thought that was fair. They had plenty of goats and sheep, and one lama (or alpaca). Overall it was a fun experience. It’s a small petting zoo, so don’t go in thinking you’ll spend hours there. We probably spent about 15 mins inside the text total. It’s perfect for a family outing with small children.
My kids and I traveled from Garland to Fort Worth today and decided to check out the Stockyards. We passed the petting zoo and I parked and googled it. Excited to see that their page showed Open we payed for parking and walked over. The lady running the place told us to wait a few minutes and proceeded to tend to tasks that in my opinion, could have been done at another time. We waited about 10 minutes as she poured up food cups, swept, ran a leaf blower...it was quite odd. I understand the need for keeping the place clean, but as a family with an anxious toddler waits? We decided to leave and the kids were quite bummed but I felt it rude for her to not tend to the customers first. We strolled the stockyard and ate lunch and noticed another family in the same position as we headed back to the car. Odd.
We went on a horse back riding trip and the had the sweetest most gentle horses and the leaders who took us on the ride were patient with us newbies and made sure we got the horses we wanted to ride and had a little bit of background on them for us and gave a quick lesson on how to safely ride. I cant wait to do it again soon ☺️
The horse riding in the stockyards is fun for people with no riding experience at all. We had 4 kids, 2 had no experience and 2 are very experienced with years of lessons. My kids with the experience were bored but they were just excited to be on a horse! We had two ladies/workers take the kids & one of them was amazing. The other was kind of mean. She was yelling at the horse & yanking it around in a mean way. It made me a little nervous her doing that while one of my kids was up on it. I didnt see the horse acting up at all. Of course, she knows them better than I do, but I was petting the horse & loving all over it at the end because after all that yelling & yanking, someone needed to. The lady in the picture posted with my girls was just an amazing lady. She talked to us about growing up as a young girl, her dreams, her experiences. She really made the experience worth the expense. It is expensive for what you get. I pay less per week for horse riding lessons than what these kiddos got to do but again, they were just happy to be in the stockyards and up on horses altogether.
The petting zoo was quaint and I would have figured that there were have been more variety of animals to pet and a little bit more of advertising to show that the petting zoo was there so that it got more exposure the staff kept it well clean and animals were fed very well

2021-07-07Animals were very friendly. 5 dollars to look 3 dollars for feed. Cup of feed was a good size. My only problem was there were so many goats. Wish there were more of the different types of animals.

2021-10-22This is the most expensive and worst petting zoo we’ve been to. They charged extra credit card processing, on top of $5 a kid, plus cost of food. The fences are around the animals so the kids can’t even get close and they are high so they can’t reach over without an adult to lift them (which required adult to pay admission. Attendant was apathetic/rude. Wasted $, don’t recommend

2021-04-01All of the animals were so friendly with tons of personality. My 3 kids and I shared a lot of laughs while spending time with all of the amazing animals. You will definitely know who Ping the goat is when you are there! Penny the llama is a sweetie. And how can you resist the sweetest cow ever!! They all appreciate a handful of food too!

2020-10-11It’s a small petting zoo but you can spend a good 30-45 min with your kids! They have sheep, goats and a few other small animals. $3 per person and $3 for a small cup with food to feed the animals. Parking is free. Be careful with the animals because they are greedy and they will snap the cup of food from your hands if you let them.

2020-03-09Friendly, fun, and heartwarming. The goats sheep, and llama were adorable and fun to feed. The woman who runs this place was so kind and friendly! She let us hold her newborn goat and spent a great deal of time with us and telling us about everything. This is definitely worth while and I would come here again!! 😊🐑🦙🐐❤️

2019-02-03Amazing experience for a kid or adult! It so reasonably priced and with a decent amount of animals in the pen. We just love going to this place with friend and family. Have never been disappointed and clean enough without the lingering smell... highly recommend this place
