Awsome wines! I mean really, really good. Everything we tried was great. Jim and Sharon are super nice and friendly. We stayed overnight in our rv and enjoyed incredible sunsets and water views. But seriously the wines and mead were great. The Carmel Pecan Mead tasted like a praline, the fruit wines were juicy and sweet and their more traditional wines were amazing as well. This may be a little out of the way but it is well worth the trip.
What a great Harvest Host destination on the shore of Galveston Bay! They have 3 full hook ups with 50amp service on a concrete pad (If you have 30 amp service you will need an adapter) for $15/night. There are also more sites available with 15 amp service and water (no sewer). Jim met us on arrival and guided us to our site. A little later we were joined by another Harvest Host RV couple. Once everyone was settled we all headed to the wine tasting room. The wine Jim makes is out of this world. Truly a really craftsman and his wife makes some yummy alligator and pork egg rolls. There is a public fishing pier and local bar with good food an easy walking distance down the road. Jim will take very good care of you. I cannot say enough good things about this winery. We will definitely be back.
The Frascone Winery is a fantastic place. The wines and Meads are delicious. They serve up the best egg rolls. Even gator egg rolls. This is the gator capital of Texas. A great Harvest Host. This is our second visit here. If your traveling the I-10 around Houston. Take a detour and come here.
My wife and I went here on a whim of mine. Wasnt sure what to expect when we got there... But Great Things come in small packages. We were here for about 45 minutes to an hour. Mr. Frascone was very helpful and informative and the wines he produces. He was a great to talk to and the Wines and Meads were worth the drive from Katy.My wifes favorite need is the Summer Solstice. So much so we purchased 3 bottles. We recommend this nice Little Texas Winery and we plan on more visits as well, in the future.
We visited Frascone Winery on the Tacky Wine Tour hosted by Melanie Dixon. We had such an amazing time! I had never heard of this place before the tour, but we will definitely be back! Jim was a fantastic host and the spaghetti with the homemade Italian sausage was too die for! I would highly recommend the Oak Island Sweet White! But to be honest, every wine we tried was fantastic! Even my husband, who is not an avid wine drinker, ended up buying a case of the Bikers Blood!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone... Wine lover or not!!! #ShopLocal #TackyWineTour
Love this place!! 🍷❤🍷❤It was my privilege to visit Frascone Winery on a Valentines Tour hosted by Tacky Wine Tours. The atmosphere was wonderful - relaxed and refined at once. I sampled a variety of wines and enjoyed a fabulous spaghetti dinner! My absolute favorite was the Oak Island Sweet Red, but purchased others as well. I highly recommend visiting this winery as they have a vast number of flavors surely able to satisfy everyones personal taste! Terrific place and terrific owner/host Jeff Frascone! #tackywinetour
This is an absolutely amazing place! My partner and I went, only planning to spend 45 minutes here. TWO HOURS LATER we walked out with multiple bottles of wine. They have a wide variety of reds, whites, meads, and fruit wines. It was quite difficult to limit the amount of bottles we wanted to buy. The staff were very informative and friendly towards all guests. They were never pushing us to buy a glass nor bottle of wine. The environment was clean with rustic/wooden decor. I highly recommend this place!
Mr. Frascone is a kind, hospitable man. He reopened his winery in 2014 after rebuilding across from the original location, which was destroyed by Hurricane Ike. Great selection of wine and mead, and also Italian and Viatnamese cuisine, but thats by appointment only. Would highly recommend!

2022-05-30I really enjoyed checking out this Winery in Oak Island. It was super cute, the owner Jim was so kind, the wine was great (Cabernet was my favorite), and the food was amazing as well. We will be going back again and again!

2021-07-12GREAT Host, food, and fun place to park for the night! They have several hook up spots with ample space. We were just a block from the water, which you can see from the RV spaces. A short walk to a pier, as well as the little winery cafe. It’s a bit of a trek off the main road but WELL worth it and easy to find.

2020-03-08This place was one of those finds you accidentally come across and are just glad you did.Mr. Frascone was super friendly and eager to assist, even letting us sample some of the wine. The wine was AMAZING and they have such a unique variety to choose from. I took home a Cabernet as well as a mead called Twilight that consisted of raw honey and Chamomile, instantly became my wife’s favorite.I have yet to try their spaghetti or Pho but will be back to do so & will update!

2021-09-21The wines were great, great selection of reds, port, fruit wines and mead. Enjoyed the alligator egg roll and dumplings, these went great with BlackBerry wine. My husband loved the port and you have to try the coco rose. We stayed here with our rv, was only planning on staying one night ended up stay two and planning to go back soon.

2021-02-01Jim the owner is a great guy. The wines and meads are exceptional. He has won numerous awards and took second in the world with the Summer Solstice wine. You have to try the home made alligator egg rolls. They are spectacular! We will go back here again when we are back in the area. The one BIG problem we did have was that we sampled 10 different wines/ales and they were all good.

2020-12-28This was our first experience with Harvest Hosts and we were very pleased. We boondocked with our RV in the property.Jim said he is the one who makes all the wines. We tried a few samples and bought some bottles. We tried the alligator egg rolls, they were very good.Jim also asked were we would go next, and brought a sheet of paper with names of interesting restaurants and names of dishes for us to try in New Orleans.Really liked it.

2020-01-19We found Frascone Winery through Harvest Hosts. Host and staff very friendly. Did a wine tasting, decided to buy a couple of bottles and then sat down to a further glass of wine and some great gator rolls. We ended up staying 2 nights with full hook-up at a great rate. 3 spots available for hook-up (50amp) and several others dry camping. Nice view of Trinity Bay.
