Just tried some wraps at The Halal Guru. The falafel and gyro wraps were delicious. They were out of hummus so I cant wait to try it next time!

2022-04-30I purchased gas here a few weeks ago and they had a good price. So I decided to go back again today for my next fill-up. I was super dismayed to see that they went from having the lowest price around to being WAY more expensive than other gas stations within a mile or two.For reference, today their premium gas price was $4.99/ga, which is... absurdly high. Google Maps reports that within the last 24 hours the premium gas price was $4.50. I dunno if thats accurate, but if so they raised it 49 cents in a day. Big red flag.A gas station less than half a mile away was premium priced at $4.49/ga (thats where I filled up), 50 cents/gallon cheaper. And another gas station nearby had premium at $4.69/ga and another had it as $4.05/ga (no not a typo -- wish I filled up there).I know variations of gas price happen, and 20-30 cents variance is not that unusual. But 50 cents and 94 cents per gallon are massive discrepancies that are way beyond excusable. Thats scam gouging level as far as Im concerned.Not only is their premium higher than anyone elses, by far, but the difference between the regular and premium is a whopping $1.24/ga ($3.75 vs $4.99). Typically, theres a 60-80 cents difference. Thats another clue theyre screwing customers who are already paying for the more expensive gas.Near where I live, there is a gas station that always charges the highest prices I ever see in town. Right now their premium is $4.74/ga, and their regular is $3.89/ga, so an 85 difference. I never expected Id find a new highest-price gas station in town, but now I have: Fuel Wise.I went in to the clerk to ask about all this. He played dumb and was totally unhelpful, just blamed it on the owner. He pretended he didnt even know the prices at his own pumps and couldnt see them on his screen. Thats ridiculous since they clearly can see the pump prices and pre-authorize your card. The clerk probably knows theyre gouging people with those prices and didnt want to admit to knowing it.Sad that this place has to resort to ripping its customers off with such high prices. I wont waste my time going back.

2022-03-17Okay, this is my favorite new convenience store. Not only are the gas prices $0.30 cheaper than everywhere else, everything is sparkling clean, new gas pumps, excellent customer service, the breakfast tacos are superb!

2021-11-20For a gas station, this feels more like a locally owned grocery store. Super clean and friendly staff. I bought a ton of beer and the manager helped me load it into my car. Who does that now of days?They have an entire room just for beer. A+ experience.

2021-09-14Update: Get lunch here! Carnitas Torta was the best torta Ive had in Austin in a looong time. Every bite was excellent and Im so excited to eat it again soon. The bread was great, the sauces are excellent, the meat was perfectly cooked. So much deliciousness.These guys are great, they really care about the neighborhood and being an anchor here. Good job.

2020-08-29The staff here is awesome! I quit going to the Bread Basket and go out of my way now just to get gas and items here. They have the cheapest price on yerba mattes and pretty much everything else they sell. I make time in my day to drive out of my way to visit this place! You should too!!

2020-01-23I have been stopping here most mornings for fuel and yerba mate, occasionally a taco or two since they opened.Today I tried their falafel wrap and WOW!Legitimate, very good falafel.Large portions, small prices.The shop is locally owned by an individual, not a large chain.Their food is good, their service is good and their selection of merchandise grows every time Im in there.

2020-12-09Friendly staff...but might be remedial...Stopped here to grab a couple bottles of water and caught a glimpse of the signage as I walked in.. Vegan al pastor tacos. Surprised by this opportunity to eat cleaner/healthier and live a more conscience lifestyle...I ordered the VEGAN al pastor tacos...they were NOT VEGAN...Straight up meat. I was incredibly hungry and extremely let down. Threw that sh it straight in the trash. The parking lot (entire contracted drive area) is the bumpiest Ive EVER drove across as if it was pavement layed over speed bumps! I would never allow myself to go here again. I will share my aweful experience with everyone my path crosses in regards to where NOT to stop for Food/Feul/Beverages.
