I went there to buy kpop albums and oh my God THEY WERE 20 DOLLAR MORE EXCPENCIVE!!! Wth why dont you have it at a normal price like other kpop store??? I can get them shipped to me from Korea for cheaper including the shipping fee!!! I bought Enhypen dimension answer and it costed me 40$ but when I went to an actuakl kpop store in Austin it would have cost me 22$ even online its gonna cost me 26$ in total. Only good prices for BTS... The same price as online and cheaper than kpop store for bts only. If you want to get bts albums go there or else NO JUST NO!!!
A lot of variety of items and plenty of deals. Costumer service could definitely improve, but overall its an interesting and fun store to shop at. The deals are worth browsing through!

This place is a total SCAM. They have been charging us for a membership I NEVER even subscribed to. Its impossible to unsubscribe to as well. Steer clear of this business.
Scummy and will ask you if you want to save 10% by signing up for their membership and then they will use the card you purchased with to charge you 12 dollars a month and their cashier wont tell you any of that.
DO NOT SHOP HERE! I wont be coming back even though I liked the store. But they have a VIP membership they try to sell you every time you go by telling you you get a month free and can cancel instantly with the email they send you as soon as you walk out the door.The last time I went in I told the cashier that I didnt want the membership and he told me he was going to sign me up anyway and that I could cancel with the email I would get. When I got the email though it didnt give me an option to cancel anything it just gave me a link to sign up for an account. So I figured I didnt need to do anything if I didnt sign up. But now I found out Ive been getting charged for a VIP membership I didnt know I had it even want in the first place! Its extremely concerning that Im not the only review saying this either! You can try to sell a membership without screwing your customers over and then loosing future business from them instead! Thats not how you build loyalty!
I always love looking around in this store, so much to see. I was a bit disappointed that many items I picked up to look at werent priced. There was one staff member visible at checkout but they were busy with a customer. They were trying to sell them a membership or subscription 🤔 Im not a fan myself. I do plan on visiting again before Christmas.
Was pretty neat lots of different things to see and buy from anime to movies to goofy lil gimmicks. Had a good time looking at everything and even got a couple things myself
Cashier signed me up for a magazine subscription and membership card I did not want. Pain to get these cancelled as I dont want to get charged after the free trial period. This is scummy. Was great before this, now I will not be coming back.
Cashier tricked me into getting a membership of some sort without even giving details other than was it a credit card. Really scummy. He scanned the code before I could even say no. Knowing well there was a line behind us, he said I could cancel right then and there but it would take a while. They are scummy and do this on purpose. Always loved shopping here in the past but no longer will. Trash.

WARNING - Do not sign up for the free rewards program!I actually had a good time in the store, they have a very good selection of things I hadnt seen elsewhere, at decent prices. I also had some friendly chitchat with the employees. One of them really made my day actually, and was quite helpful and nice. I really was planning on coming back regularly.But my experience was ruined by the free rewards program. When I was almost done with paying for my purchases, I was told there was a free rewards program. Only after getting all my info (partially by saving the card I used to pay for my purchase), did they bother to tell me its got a monthly charge after a trial period. Not only that, but if you want to cancel, you end up having to call multiple places (the program itself, whichever free magazines you signed up for, etc.)Since there was a huge line behind me, I opted to cancel it later (rather than hold up the line or cause a scene). Had a heck of a time with cancelling it. Ended up having to go through my credit card company, since I could never get a hold of the magazine people and the program itself didnt seem to cancel it correctly as I was still charged despite cancelling.I doubt their corporate office is reading these, but if so, shame on you for developing such a convoluted, tricky program. And shame on you for likely roping your employees in to try to get us to sign up for the darn thing, and probably basing things like their performance scores, promotions, hours, or wages on how many they sell.
Employee signed me up for promotional credit it card with telling me I’d save 10% and the membership wouldn’t charge unless I activated it. Guess what, I was charged and never even activated it, and they charged the card I used in store. Be wary, very shady stuff going on here.
Maybe because Im a millennial but I love this place - takes me back to the good old Hastings days. Fun collectibles, used CDs and DVDs, records, and silly gifts.
The store is great! I love the stuff and I usually love the people who work there but this last time I went I almost walked out empty handed. Brittany who was the only associate working at the time was way over bearing. She didnt get the hint the first 3 times we said no we do not need any help and to drop it. There is a point to doing your job but there was a very condescending tone in her voice the entire time she talked to anyone in the store. And I know how retail works. You can help people to the fullest but people do have their limits before they just want to leave. Even at the check out she asked me one question three times in a row each time saying no and was mad that I didnt buy a magazine or whatever. She did not even let me have the time to tell her no kindly in her rant. There is customer service and there is over bearing and she needs to find out the difference. Its rude and its not helpful.
Fun fact one time outside of this very store some girl came up to me and asked if I wanted to go to some performing arts school as if I had the courage or the money or TALENT to do such a thing. And me wanting to live my best Victorious life was like wow really sign me up and now I get a lot of spam mail. Anyways FYE is pretty cool.
Overpriced records! You can get whatever you want on walmart.com for much less. $34 for a re-press! lol!
This store is great. But the workers made me feel uncomfortable, felt pressured to buy something. Just went to look around. Too crowded with shoppers during the pandemic
Nice staff and the media is fairly organized into appropriate locations making it easy to find what youre looking for. For those shopping for CDs, its nice to see that the cases arent destroyed unlike at some of the other FYE locations.
They have a good assortment of TV show/movie gifts. Rick and Morty, The Office, Harry Potter, and many more. Prices arent too high, but keep an eye out for sales.
I drove from Houston to go to this store in order to get Reptar bars. I have to say, I was so impressed with the customer service of this store. The employees were so great and the guy who rang me up even gave us suggestions of where to go in Austin for the day. The store was filled with so much stuff that I could have stayed for hours looking through it all. I will definitely be back soon!
So many different things to buy. Rick and Morty eye holes cereal, funkle puffs of so many different characters. Ryan toys review surprise eggs, various collector pez dispensers. There were a ton of things on sale like Bluetooth earbuds for 5.99 and but one get one free. T-shirts in clearance for $5. The Childs play action figure looked super scary! My son wanted everything!! Now I know where I will be doing my Christmas shopping!
Great store for pops and fan products. I still miss going into FYE back in the day and going though all the CDs. They have changed alot over the years. But you can beat finding the most random stuff in here like Dead Pool cereal lol.

The store has a lot of fun things, a military and student discount, and plenty of sales items. The unfortunate part is that a lot of items are sold elsewhere for less. They have great customer service!

Great place for cult collectors, movie buffs or pop doll enthusiasts. Clean and organized, a large selection of candy as well.
There are a few neat hard to find items, but most of the place is filled with things you can get cheaper on Amazon.
Little bit of everything from tshirts, bags, socks, candy, figurines and more. Great place for gifts and such. All your favorite characters in one shop.
FYI for FYE, signing up for their membership is not free and extremely painful to cancel the multiple subscriptions you end up with. $50 later, I am still trying to cancel.

Store is not keep up. Sales are not clearly marked. Regular price items heavily mixed with sale items in store. This much is not from customers unless they clear clean things up since they opened.

2022-05-22My daughter loves this store, we saw a cute shirt in the window on one of the mannequins, there were only three shirts left in the store large and extra large. I asked the guy at the register if we could purchase the shirt on the mannequin which was a small. Chloe who works there and is not a manager said they couldn’t take the shirt off the mannequin, she said the shirt had to fit baggy. I told Chloe the large and extra large shirts in the store would fit just as baggy. Chloe acknowledged my statement to be true, then she lied and said it was a store policy. I left which I shouldn’t have and contacted two other stores who said they weren’t familiar with that policy in store or corporate.An employee at another store asked me to come in and he would help me obtain the item. I went back to the store, unfortunately Chloe wasn’t at the register. A nice young man took the shirt off the mannequin, completed the transaction and placed another shirt on the mannequin without hesitation. Why would you lie about something so small, just say you want to sit on the counter, during your entire shift and get paid for doing nothing, when you should be helping customers rather than conjuring up lies.

2022-08-01We dont have this chain in San Diego CA anymore so it was nice to come check them out for some nostalgia. They have a big selection of cds which I appreciate. Would like to see more vinyls in the future

2022-07-03A ton of funko pops are badly damaged. They just got in a new shipment and all of them had dinted corners and small tears. They need to put old/damaged ones on clearance no one wants them full price.

2021-02-15On a recent shopping trip at Lakeline Mall I looked through an FYE store. I was really surprised to find one, as I hadnt browsed FYE since I was a teen. Nonetheless it was a nostalgic trip that didnt disappoint. I was able to find several unique gifts along with several other items. The store was organized, clean, and the employees were friendly. Im sure Ill stop by again on my next visit to Lakeline Mall.

2019-07-11One of my favorite stores at the mall, anything pop culture you could have asked for was here, from little dolls to Guardians of the Galaxy Tshirts, to little Figurings of your favorite shows or video games. Some cool Shirts too, definitely a fun shop to stop in and look around with a good selection of Tshirts amd hoodies with a nice 50% off special running on certain items.

2022-03-19Great place to buy movies and pop culture Merch. You can find everything from Tshirts, Pop figs, to snacks from Japan. DC, Marvel, Hello Kitty, and various Anime Merch, they got tons of stuff. If you are a comic geek or Otaku, this is definitely the place for you!!
