My husband dropped off some guitar hero guitars to be priced and left them there for 3 days because I had a c-section. When he went to pick them up the manager was extremely rude. He talked about firing the man that called and quoted us a price since he didnt write a the price down. He could only buy 4 of the guitars which is fine but then gave an excuse why he couldnt buy any of them. My husband said to just put them back in the box and the manager started throwing them back in the box, my husband told him to be more careful and the manager got mad and said he shouldnt have left the stuff here that long. And when my husband went to respond, that I just had a baby and we have never done this before being long time customers, the manager walked away to the back. Owning our own business we have held stuff for months and never accosted customers about it. Unfortunately, we wont be doing business with them anymore even with the credit we accumulated for an xbox we bought there that was broken. My husband apologized for leaving it so long and that should have been the end of it.I highly recommend getting a new manager, not just for customers but for staff too, this isnt the first time weve heard the manager talk about firing someone who works there.
So many selections to choice from. And ALWAYS such friendly people to help me. I dont play games. But I know they got a good selection. Im always in the movies section... And theyve got A LOT to choose from. And they check all discs before selling them to you, and clean them, if they need it. 5 stars, for sure!
Plenty of games- retro and new to choose from also with a wide selection of movies as well. Game Exchange is an excellent place to find specialty items like hobbyist crafts and collectibles. The staff is friendly and well-suited to be helpful. They also buy from you your used wares for cash or in-store credit.
Love this place, everything from Comics to games, to just about every system.Tried to go into Gamestop today and they tokd me I have to put on a mask (with attitude).Came down to Game Xchange and was allowed my own choice and had very helpful and friendly service.I will come here first all the time now. Gamestop no more!
Great place to buy movies. The selection is pretty extensive. Also they have retro games and gaming systems so its a great place for the gaming nerd or for a nice throwback. They of course also offer current games and systems and accessories. If youre looking to get rid of games, consoles or movies they also buy them for either cash or in store credit. Employees are friendly and generally knowledgeable. Be sure to note their return policy. If a game or movie doesnt work you can exchange it or get store credit but you can not get your money back. Also be sure to have your ID if you pay with card or want to sell items.
I have always had a good experience when walking into the store the employees are nice and know a bunch about games along with movies and much more. Two employees I like that really made my experience amazing was Bailey and Ray they were nice and did overall a great job I highly recommend checking the store out you wont be disappointed I will definitely! Come back and suggest to friends.
So I went to get a 360system and when buying it I told them it may not be what I needed so they told me don’t worry you can bring it back within 30 days with receipt to get your money back. Well that was not the situation. because it was not broken I get snubbed. Should I have just broken it to get my money back? this is just really disappointing to be lied to at purchase. Staff was friendly but no way can that make me overlook that I am out 60 bucks. That’s why 2 star not 1.
I have never written a review before for anything but the experience I just had with this company really just wow’d me!! I had brought a full reusable bag of dvds about a month ago, never received a phone call from them so went back up there 2 weeks later to find out what went wrong, they called the district manager and took my name and # again and said they will look for them and give me a call back. Never did.. so I went up there today and asked about them again and the lady was very rude and un professional, and informed me that there’re is nothing they can do, and went as far as to say “well why would u wait so long to come back in” I suggested for them to check the security footage if my statement is not being believable and her reply is “ I’m not going to do that, straight up, that would take me too long“ I always take my son up here and with the kind of rude and disrespectful customer service I just received I never will again! I have been in customer service for 20 years and with the same company for over 7 years now and have never once talked to a customer like that.
Store is pretty good, and all, nice old games for reasonable prices, but, the return policy is a complete joke, unless your product is damage or otherwise defective, they wont do anything, even if its within a few hours. And even if its defective or broken, they will not give cash back
Always very helpful, and friendly! Will give you decent money for your used movies, and games. Older movies arent worth selling here though as you will make more at a pawn shop getting 50 cents-1 dollar then what they offer in 35 cents! Thats my only complaint. Overall good place to give a try
This was the first time I had gone into this store and I had some great laughs the staff is super awesome even at busy times cause it was busy when I went in. I LOVE THIS STORE cant believe Ive lived here for 6 years and never been there. Awesome amazing staff and great personalities that come with the experience.
Better than Game Stop. Here is why. They arent pushing you to buy anything. They dont follow you around the store asking if you need help finding anything, over, and over. They give better trade value than Game Stop. They have a better used collection. They have a huge back stock of older consoles, controllers, cables, accessories. They take in everything for trade from cell phones, ipads, tablets, consoles, games.
I live in Cleburne, and went to the GE there last night. I had a horrible experience with that location. You’ll see the explanation on that store under their Google Review. However, I came to this one in Burleson today. I explained what happened, and Andrew was very sympathetic, and he made it right!! I would HIGHLY recommend going to this Game Exchange, and will drive all the way to Burleson for GE from now on! Big shout out to Andrew!!! Very please with the customer service! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!
I purchased 3blue rays, each was suppose to have a blueray, dvd, and obviously unusable digital download... they only gave me bluerays and when i asked for the dvds they said thats not included, even tho the cost is the same anywhere ealse. Had i known that i never would have gone there. Total rip off and prices are better at MTC. Next time i will drive to a reputable company and get what i pay for.
Its average, I wanted to buy a copy of a certain movie but apparently they didnt have it in stock despite having multiple cases on display so they insisted on trying to sale me the 3D version of the movie when I repeatedly told the guy my stuff isnt 3D compatible. Just say you dont have something in stock instead of trying to give me something else
I bought an iPod from here. $100+.An hour after buying it i called Them and informed that that it did not work correctly. Was slow and stayed charged no longer than 10 minutes. They told me there wasn’t anything they could do. I’ve been a loyal customer for years and they just lost my business for sure. Do not buy electronics from this place!!! This isn’t the first time I’ve bought a game system that hasn’t worked correctly. I decided To give them another try and it blew up in my face. Now my kid doesn’t have an iPod and I’m out over $100.
The workers at Game Xchange really go out of their way to make your experience there a good one. My 6 year old son saved up his own money to buy a XBOX 360 last Christmas, and he bought 5 games go with it, 3 of which wouldnt play when we got home. They profusely apologized and said they should have cleaned them (turned out the employee who helped us was new/seasonal and forgot). We went back and they cleaned all the scratches off, plus gave my son an extra game of his choice for free to make it up. All the games worked perfect after that! Every time my son has saved up money, he wants to make a trip to Game Xchange, and we are never disappointed. The employees are wonderful and extremely helpful and friendly to my kiddo and myself. They have a great game selection, as well as systems, accessories, unique gaming toys, and also DVDs. I highly recommend them over GameStop, as their prices and customer service are much better!
These guys are awesome! I would completely stop going to GameStop if it wasnt for preordering new games. I love coming here and finding some of the classics. I recently purchased the Spyro series here. The staff is really respectful, helpful, knowledgeable, and fun to talk to. I really havent had any issues here. To be honest, I randomly come here to fill up my collection of games. They have even called other locations for me in the past to help me find older games.
Always clean, good music plays not too loud but not too soft. The sales associates are on point and then some with their information n hold great convo. I highly recommend gamers to go there they have it all from atari to new system games and equipment. And movies galore. Best thing is you BUY TWO GET ONE FREE GAMES OR MOVIES! And the price is so fair youll never want to go anywhere else. Enougj said :)
Tried selling my PS4 here and the guy says he couldn’t turn it on automatically claims my power button is broken, but when I plug it in it turns on no problem. The employees here are a complete joke trying to argue with me on the phone saying my power button was broke when it was not in fact not.
Some games purchased the first time didnt work and had to be exchanged or buffed. So made a second unnecessary trip all the way up there to fix the problems that if the clerk was paying attention the first time wouldnt have had to make. Its an hour drive to the closest game exchange.
Under no circumstance will me or my family be back to this location! While trading in games, before the transaction was completed, we discovered that two of the games would only give us less than a dollar. At that point it was decided that we would keep those games and only trade in the others. No sense in trading in one game, much less two, for less than $1! We were told no, the transaction was complete. We had not signed the receipt for the trade so no it was not complete. When Sonya asked for the manager, Areyeha, to help we were again told that no the transaction was completed. Again we explained that no it wasnt, no signatures means no deal. The conversation became heated and when we decided to take the games and leave we were THREATENED with a report being filed. Absolutely absurd!! All over a total of a $24 transaction (if we had left everything).
Better than Game Stop? Yeah right! They essentially follow the same guidelines as Game Stop. I stopped going to Game Stop after I discovered that they are a rip off, so I chose to check out Game X Change, well, after bring in some games and having them price them, I thought I had walked into a Game Stop. Offering me far less than HALF of what the games are worth, so I ask, how is Game X Change any better than Game Stop when it comes to selling games to them?A bit of a heads up, if you go in there to buy or sell games/movies, you will usually wait in line while the emo/hipster things behind the counter take forever to recognize that you are standing in line, even when nobody is in the store!Dont take my word, go into the store and find out.Good luck.
I usually always find what Im looking for here. If the GameStops in Cleburne and Burleson dont carry an item Im looking to add to the collection, one of the GameXchanges will usually have it in stock. The associates are also friendly and helpful at both locations. The only downside I have with the company is their website. As far as online shopping goes, its a failure. Cant peruse stock, order online or order for pickup later. But hey, want to know where the next 3 stores are opening in the world?! Its got you covered!
Burleson Local Reviewer -This is a great place to find retro video games and systems if you cant find what you want at Gamestop. They also have an amazing selection of used DVDs and Blu-Rays, which makes it possibly the best place in town to find movies at a discount. There is quite possibly no movie you cant find in their selection.
I dont like how reserved the staff is they need to engage better its like comic book store they dont want you to buy anything not 100% but u get the idea dont get me wrong you can buy anything but the attitude felt like that i think im going to apply and see if i can do better even if i dont get hired i hope changes are made cause the industry is dying game exchange is a cornerstone to the industry and it needs to amp up the game of business and sales and customerexperince get pumped not depressed quiet cliquey thank to who ever reads this
My daughters favorite store..they enjoy going thru the shelves looking for games for their XBOX 360..XBOX ONE..Nintendo XL 3DS games..they sell new and used games..exchanging in used ones for credit towards new ones..they have new consoles..used iPods..tablets..novelties items from games..movies.very nice staff who helps you find things and answer questions from ppl(like me) who arent knowledgeable at all about games..

2022-06-12Have been searching for a Nintendo GameCube for my collection and they had one for $59. Was waiting to pay but kids running the store were more concerned about their social media, but what should I expect from employees making minimum wage. I was telling employee that I would also need to get a memory card, unfortunately I realized halfway through my request he never looked up from his phone so I walked out empty handed.

2021-04-15I always loved this place. They offer fair prices for my games and they always have awesome Japanese candy and drinks. I was slightly annoyed that I had to pay full retail for a used copy of Xenoblade, but I guess that isnt a huge deal. I couldnt really find it anywhere else.

2021-03-27I love this store. Its the place to get retro consoles and games, old and new manga for different ages, collectable figurines. Or just some movies. They even have interesting collectors items pass through sometimes. The items are not marked up much.
