Love this place the receptionist ladies are awesome very polite and well mannered I love this plasma place been to a few and this one by far is the best in San Antonio the place itself isnt trashy either like most of them are if your thinking of donating this is the place to go for a good experience
Initially had gone to different plasma center that was so crowded and uncomfortable it didnt seem worth it to try again but I was wrong. This place is awesome. Calm both times Ive come so far and theyre all so chill and nice. Definitely reccomend especially since its for a good cause!
Great staff quiet and comfortable atmosphere buuuuutt. Be prepared for a 45-50 min wait to get seen, there isnt a lot of people in here and still waiting, can understand if I was a new donor and they are busy but its quiet and dead in here so just two stars for the staff and the good atmosphere.if you have kids and a significant other leave em at home because they will get upset waiting for you outside in heat and bored at other stores because ur here for the next 2 and a half hours and this is on a slow day
I love coming here but they there are some on the staff who cannot stick me right and I went in today and they really messed me up today. I would come back again but this was just the last straw for me I don’t think I’ll come back. I have to stay away for 56 days now. Whatever you do don’t let Daniel stick you if you have very hard veins and that are very deep as well. I want to thank Jackie for trying to help me get through it.
Good, clean, and polite staff. Very knowledgeable on their jobs, no extra digging around looking for a vien... if you ever been dug into, you understand what I mean. 1st timers plan on a wait but not to bad, 2nd and so on easy walk in on ur day and maybe 15 20 min wIt and your in.
This facility is the slowest place we have ever been to. As a new donor they inform you that it should take about two and a half hours we are on hour four now. we were told we get priority as being a new donor and that did not make a single difference at all. We were able to see the staff leave for lunch and come back from lunch and inform us that their hands smell like food all the while we have been sitting here waiting for 4 hours. I assume they give you a referral bonus that is so high because of the service being so slow. But as for my husband and I, we will not be referring anybody here as a new donor.
I am basing my initial review and will update it as I become more familiar with this company. I gave this business a 3 star review only because as a new client, the process was long and timely. Granted I had things which only added to the time such as medications and several countries Ive been to but nonetheless, it was long. I started at 9 am and was out by 1:45. Oi vey. I wish I had been forwarned and knew that the process was going to be very long because had I been then I would have been mentally prepared. The actual phlebotomist who took care of me was sweet and seemed caring and the place is extremely clean and modern which is a big plus. There seems to be a stigma in donating plasma and although some people might be morally ambiguous and doing it for only the one obvious reason, there are some of us who do it because is giving back and you get a little compensation for the time which is a plus. I have donated other blood products in the past with no compensation simply because it was the right thing to do and there was a big need. I will re-visit this review later.
I’ve attempted to donate at this location a few times. First I needed proof of address. Then I needed to bring in a birth certificate because my middle name was on my social and not my ID. Now I was turned away because it hasn’t been 12 months since my last tattoo. Horrible experience. All the back and forth is sad when plasma donation isn’t just about the money, but to know your helping burn victims and cancer patients.
Front desk person was extremely rude and every time I came it took forever. They let other people cut in line right in front of you, VIP pass or notThe last time i went this girl infultrated me and laughed about it with another employee. It hurt so much! Train your employees more before you let them roam around hurting people! 😡Review posted September 20, 2017.
This place takes foreverrr. I never been to a center where they take 2 hours just to get the process started for a new donor. My first time there I spent 6 hours like thats unexceptable!!!! Its such a hassle at this center. Once you get to the back everything is smooth & fast but dealing w the front your looking at 4-5 hours there MIN. I do not recommend if you can go to the one on marbach theyre way faster!
This place is ridiculous. My daughter went twice and was left bruised both times. The excuse they gave her was that her veins were small. But yet CSL had no problems in the past. She wanted to go to this place because it was closer to our new home. They really should hire more experienced phlebotomist. The one star i had to give them was one too many.
Staff is nice but one thing that gets me is that when its a new week they dont wanna pay what your supposed to get on your second donation... Really hurtful to slot of people... Granted some people donate to get extra money cuz they have jobs and such but if its your second donation shouldnt you get what your supposed to get when you donate for the second time and not be bumped back down to you first pay of donation??? Please fix
Do not go here they HAVE DISCRIMINATION AGAINST ME AS I AM HEARING IMPAIRED CANT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE OUT IN PUBLIC SAYSI NEED A INTERPRETER..OMGWELL FOR YOUR FYI I NEVER HAVE USED A INTERPRETER IN MY LIFE BECAUSE I DEAL WITH EVER DAY COMMUNICATION WICH YOU MIGHT THINK YOU DONT HAVE TO GO OUT OF YOUR WAY TO HELP PEOPLE HARD OF HEARING, BUT ONE DAMN DAY OIT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU , YOUR FAMILY KIDS ECT... DONT TAKE YOUR EARS/ HEARING FORGRANTED..BY THE WAY THATS DISCRIMINATION AND AS A HUMAN BY LAW WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO ALL IN LIFE ...HARD OF HEARING IS A PART OF BEING A HUMAN BEING ..ILL CONTACT THE BUSINESSES TO TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE YOU HAVE ..GOD BLESSMAYBE YOU MIGHT HAVE A HEALTH CONDITIONS THAT ONE DAY OTHERS WILL DISCRIMINATE AGAINST YOU
The workers are all nice.. I think Roxy should train each one of them in the back how to stick.. She is the only one who does not hurt you.... I would give it 5 stars but the process time is way too long. The person who is reading your questions and taking vitals should also check your blood and weight. You have 5 rooms. Use them. Cut out the person in the front. Just a suggestion... Also there should be signs to not have people talking on the phone while in waiting area. Not everyone wants to hear and know whats going on. Keep the profanity down ..... Its annoying.
Most professional staff I have seen and experienced. I feel welcome and relaxed here not like others .. I switched to this place because at the other one I went to the staff was not experienced. I have been infiltrated multiple times which the process of donating was the worst I have ever had.Other place was so disrespected I was looked upon with discussted faces from staff ... I donate to help save a life and I do this twice a week . By how experienced the staff is I have never been disrespected, infiltrated the whole time Ive been donating. The upkeep and cleanlyness of this place is top notch . Anyone who is trying to donate plasma I suggest u come here. U Get paid better then others they have bonus thru out the month prizes are way better overall THE BEST IN SAN ANTONIO. I rate this place one to ten a ten+++
Worst center I have ever been to rude ladies taking in new donors and very unorganized took them over 1hr to find my folder and just to see that it wasnt my folder.... the only reviews on here are from employees at the center so here is a real review from someone who experienced it forst hand i would never recommend this place csl or octapharma are the best fast and most pleasant employees
Upon entering the building it is nice to be were you feel welcomed and the staff does exactly that.going to this particular plasma center is something i look forward to,often through out the week i go.you can go twice in a week, thats two opertunities!,to give back to someone that needs help but isnt in a position to call you and ask you directly.Of course like any and every certified plasma center the initial waiting process is typically 2 hours or sometimes more, now that when i say more thats dependent on how many donors are there and the processing of you being a new donor itself.the process is simple just call ahead and the receptionist will give you simple instructions on what to bring.NOTdifficult by no means...its just patience.some people wait longer for a new game system or for a family member to come home .etc.why not just put some time aside to give a helping hand to save a life.youll feel really good about it.and the experienced staff and organization of the donating process flies by.great movies and the laughter, and everyone there is practically a family........BY FAR THE BEST CENTER.very clean and have never been disrespected by anyone that works there nor have i witnessed any staff say something to anyone else that donates .if your on your phone wile donating thats an exception.its clearly posted no cell phones.and thats so theres no potential interference with the machines Chynna👍 is a really great phlebotomist there so ask for her 😊and Rosa in the front is super nice.to end it off if you get a chance stop by on military right next to planet fitness
Great staff and great environment moves quickly and the amount of time spent here is extremely low compared to other centers.also have never had problems with getting stuck they make sure to find your veins unlike other centers where Ive had problems with the way they stick me
Chyna, ashley, renee, rosa, danny, Anna , felisha, Stephanie, and all the people in the back are amazing employees of the company to deal with at this center. Also some of the people helping out at this center from another place are friendly too except one person that was helping out from another center not going to say names but she was rude too me and told her that I was going to call corporate on her and she was talking about me in Spanish to two other employees and I understand Spanish too. Just because of that one employee I gave this plasma center a one star because they have employee like that up front helping out at this center.
EVERYONE READ....One new employee was rude and disrespectful but glad i spoke to arvin about it he said he would let the big bosses know glad i spoke to him and cleared it up rate this place a 10+ ive been donating for over a year here and the staff is kind and respectful besides that one incident that happened but it wont happen again glad they also wrote back responding to me letting me know that they did know what happened would recommend this place better then the other plasma centers i went to very clean and they pay better never been infiltrated or seen someone infulftated in the time then the others they also raffel out prizes. i won a 42 inch tv a while back bad ass hope i win other stuff too. very plesent experience everytime i go everyone should come here movies and it dont take long at all also save a life
Extreme waste of time. as a new donor, you would expect to be seen quickly and moved to head of the line. not so here. 3 hours waiting to be seen with only 4 new donors ahead of me then 1more hour waiting for screening. Then I look into waiting area for draw and see 3 more people there waiting. If you have all day to wait and waste your time please do it here they have a great tv. if you want in and out service go to csl plasma on Fredericksburg. And since when is 18 stars decided by 7 reviews 3.6
Smh lol I got combined over 600 donations at other centers that I tested out at different times over my life. And let me tell you this is the only 1 I have a complaint with... And for the record I heard from a few people who work there that this center actually gave a $5 dollar bonus for some the members to give them a 5 star rating a few months ago when this center at that time had a horrible low rating of 2.4 lol that is ridiculous and some of the reviews I read are from employees lol wow that is crazy that is like a beautiful lady giving her self a 5 star rated orgasm lol nobody else benefits from that but her... Drops mic.... Crickets...
So apparently its easier to get a job at a secure data center than it is to get 30 dollars for donating plasma. I dont have a social security card so they said to bring a w2. However my w2 did not have the matching suffix from my drivers license so they denied me. Then one said I could bring w2, and birth certificate but still denied. Its crazy that something as simple as a suffix would be such a big deal. Rude staff. Inconsistent answers, get on the ball gcam.
The staff at this place they’re super slow I was there for two hours and they barely saw me then I was told to increase my heart rate and then I was told it was too high and that I wouldn’t be able to donate until tomorrow because they suck and they asked me to pick up my heart rate not something you can exactly controlIs it for two hours worst experience Iv ever had
Havent been there yet but every time I call to ask when theyre accepting new donors they always say its too late. Its like non of these people want to work. How are you going to get donors if you keep turning everyone away just because you dont want to do your job. Stop being lazy people...

2022-07-29I was accused of lying humiliated and wasted my time and gas some fat Mexican girl with glasses who allegedly said she was a supervisor made me come there 3 times just to say I couldn’t donate because she said I lied! I advise everyone to rethink to donate their because of their attitude towards people it’s like they don’t want you to donate cause they are lazy I’m going to go again on the 9 of Aug and see what they do then!

2022-04-22When I first donated here they were really quick and I never had any issues I always drink atleast 4 bottles of water and eat a meal. this last time I went the machine started messing up on my right arm because the lady didn’t make it in the vein the lady started moving the needle around while it was in my arm and eventually said that they had to do the left arm instead, when she put the needle in got an instant burning pain going through my whole arm I had never felt that type of pain before and asked her to just take it out . my boyfriend is also a donor and he’s having the same experience right now he said that she keeps moving the needle and stabbing it deeper and at one point you couldn’t even see the needle in coming out of his arm because it was so far in there, he also said she stabbed a muscle or something and it caused his arm to start twitching…WITH the same lady that did that to me… idk what happened but they need to do better especially since they are poking people with needles
