Geek Out in other cities:
Amazing location! I walked in and was immediately greeted by a very nice cashier, although I did not catch her name. After a bit of casual chatter, I perused the dice and found a few that I liked. Easily enough, I made my purchase and even stayed a bit longer just enjoying friendly conversation. The space looks awesome and filled with a wide variety of fandoms. Definitely coming back!
Drove way out of my way in Fort Worth to come down here, and it was worth the visit. On this side of DFW, they’ve got a great game and card selection. From what I could see, not as big array of comics, but this seems a solid cool LGS. Plus being downtown there’s tons of great nearby food and drink options if you’re there to play and want to take a break. Great options, great location , go support these cool peeps!
Fantastic place to Geek out!!! My husband and I went in to buy comic books, today. They had everything we needed and then some! Prices are great. The people are great. The young lady, at the counter, was sweet and very helpful. We will be back again and will recommend to others.
I went in to check out the store and see if they bought and sold collectibles there, which they do! I had some old trading cards that I wasnt sure what the value of. The gentleman there was really nice and polite, but he tried to shortchange me from the very beginning. Once I showed him I wasnt a total novice, he was very helpful Im sure me how to find out the values on my own. Its a place I can go back to here in the near future and possibly do business there
They said they couldn’t purchase my cards because they said they smelled like cigarettes funny thing is they are in a case and nowhere near where I smoke in my house.they just seem like they didn’t want to do their jobs.that’s ridiculous.I also don’t appreciate how she came up and picked up my cards without my permission.
The community there is great and very knowledgeable. I am always a supporter of small businesses and love to see them succeed. The owner makes time out of his day to make you feel welcome by talking with you, sharing stories and cracking jokes. They help find what youre looking for and work diligently to make sure you get it. #mycomicshop
Its good to see Geek Out back. After all that they have been through, to see them rebuild a unique spot in town after the devastation of the storm should serve as an inspiration to all. Great selection, super friendly, knowledgeable staff. If youre into tabletop games and comics, this is the place for you. Set up a pull box with the staff in-store and have all your favorite titles each month set aside for you. Congrats on coming back, guys. Looking forward to seeing you Friday!
Terrible customer service.... staff is extremely rude if you are not a part of their gaming crowd or regulars... yes their mask policy is over kill, granted it is their right to enforce their own policies but when I wear my mask step aside away from people to look at my phone and an employee comes up to me from across the store to pull up my mask that’s alittle ridiculous. You will be treated as if you are a bother to them if you are not a part of their crowd.
If you have a medical condition which prevents you from wearing a mask long enough to shop, dont bother walking into this place. As if diseased or contaminated, we were not welcomed and told to leave even though the kids had masks. We will not be customers again. Edit: There was no mask mandate; but this is not just about the masks. Its about how we were treated.
I walked into this establishment. I can not wear a mask due to medical reasons. The lady behind the counter asked were my mask was. I explained I can not wear one. She said they would not serve a person without a mask. We explained that was illegal. She continued to argue with us. My girlfriend said you just lost our business and the girl behind the counter said Oh well! I said this is how you treat Veterans? Then we walked out. I wish I could give this place less stars.
They have current books and a limited amt of back issues, but they are pretty recent and priced to move so if you are filling in series gaps or wanted to try something but were on the fence you can probably findem in there. Plenty of indie titles along with the usual suspects.
Neat little shop. Their comic selection wasnt as big as I had hoped and seemed a bit more random. But it was still a good selection. I love that they have a kids corner type area, with comics for the younger crowd. Super cute. They have some amazing statues though! That will definitely be what I go back for. I specifically went in for some expansions on some table games, and the selection was very very small, so that was a bit of a bummer. But I didnt leave empty handed, so Id call it a win still. They did have a very big area for in store gaming, which is neat. Overall, Id go back for something specific, but probably not to peruse.
Have nothing but amazing things to say about this place! My husband and I took our kids in to get their first comic books. As soon as we walked in, they were instantly helpful at trying to help them find what they were looking for! Unlike Sci-fi Factory, they were not turned off by us bringing our children in. Will be back! Thank you!
Im so glad this place is in Burleson. The staff is almost always extremely helpful and friendly. They host games, events, do streams - everything. The place has a little area for kids so I always bring my daughter and buy her a book or comic to encourage her to read. The only downside in my opinion is the location because parking can be difficult. Go just down the block and park near city hall, then walk over to the store and youll have as much easier time than getting to park near the restaurants.
I couldnt love this place more if I tried. We enjoyed the wide array of collectables, games and comics. The staff was so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. As a family of four, all of our geeky little souls were properly regenerated. Loved that there were D&D lessons going on, as well as watching miniature painting artists hone their craft, and board game space too. While youre there mosey next door and check out the game lounge at E-repair to get your video game fix. Those guys are awesome too!
There are so many comics here and tons of games to give a try. I hope they are able to add more in the future but for now they are in a great side of town for business. The place is clean and someone always greets me when I am there. I found several Harry Potter things for my mom here
This place is more than just a comicbook shop. This place is home away from home. This place has heart. Blake and Kim give all they have and more. They are never too busy to talk to you or your kids. The staff is amazing and full of knowledge. I honestly love these guys.
This place discriminates against veterans and people with disabilities. They are not in compliance with ADA regulations nor do they treat all customers with the same common curtesy. The staff sit on their pedestals at the counter and use their rude, mocking tone of voice to publicly humiliate anyone who does not look the part to be in the store. They make sure they can be heard by everyone in the store when they serve their tart retorts when they do not like a question the customer asks or do not want to answer it. They are like a murder of ravens sitting on their perch ready to attack anyone that does not look or act like their flock. This store is a thorn in the side of a city that celebrates its veterans.
Geek Out has an incredible staff and an amazing selection of comics, toys, and games. Theyve recently remodeled and the changes make the interior look dramatically better. It appears to me that they have every intention of keeping the facilities & selections nice and inviting for the casual new customer or the hardcore gaming/toy/comic customers. There is also a very large area for gamers to come play various board games.
This was the first comic book shop Ive been to and was blown away with the exceptional customer service. The owner is always there which I like better than most stores having just employees running it as he takes the extra step to help. I told him it was my first time and he answered a 1,000 questions for me, explained pull lists, etc. The owner and his wife are super sweet people! Took my son a couple of days ago and they helped him find something as well. If you want a knowledgeable and friendly local comic book shop there is no need to look any further!!!!!
I and my wife go there to play D&D with a group of friends. They now have free Adventure League and pay Dungoen Masters for running modules.Their prices are more than reasonable and I try to tell everyone how welcoming the staff and owners are. This place is a must if you are into comic books, D&D and miniatures games.
Went in looking for Yugioh cards and after the girl explaining me the singles were 10 cents and 33 cents for holos I choose one and she started looking for all the cards prices in the computer. While looking for them she said she wanted to make sure it was not more but if so that she would still sell it for 33 cents because it was already in the box. When she sees the card is 10 dollars she decided to call her boss and not sell it for what she said. Terrible not going back there again, maybe if you sell cards marketprice and you check every single card maybe you should just sell online...
Unique Shop, with AWESOME selection. The staff is knowledgeable and they promote a atmosphere that makes it feel like your always welcome. Love the rock painting projects, and how they help the blessing box in Burleson. This is a great place to go shop or even hang out and play a game.
Amazing experience, GeekOut feels like a place I can go and relax. Tonights pre-releass event for MTG was fantastic, our packs felt blessed.Outstanding customer service, great crowd, and a nice roomy interior. Im definitely going back here soon. Perfect first impression.

2022-05-22I went for first time and was helped by a very lovely employee who took time to make sure I was helped to the best of her abilities. When an employee couldnt answer a question, sue to knowledge of subject I was quickly referred to another, I believe it was the owner, who gave me the run down on the Warhammer community. Their magic collection is very extensive and worth a look. Everyone was respectful of my service dog and very friendly. Will be coming back often to do my gaming business.

2022-06-19This place was a neat find in Burleson. There are an assortment of comics, games, and Funko Pops here. An employee told us they had collectors pops that were more valuable in the back and brought them out to show us. One of them she was asking $95 for, but the price on the bottom showed $50. Many of the same Pops when searched for online were much cheaper. So, while at first I was impressed with this store, I felt like they were ultimately trying to rip my son off by way overcharging him and having a verbal price higher than the marked price on items.

2022-06-17Garbage customer service. Would not stay open even 10 min past 10pm for me and my son to finish shopping and spending our hard earned money in a time when inflation is very rampant. I had well over 100 in merch at that time and wasnt done. It upset me as most GOOD establishments will stay open as long as a customer is in the store and willing to buy....but nope....not even 10 min more. basically GTFO and the employee could care less that my money pays the light bill and his salary. I will NEVER return to this garbage place. Burleson deserves better. Besides that I can get everything that is in the store for FAR less on amazon.

2022-03-01I really like this place, the staff they have is way better than others that have worked there before. The only complaint is I wish they would clean the store more and change there card buying percentage. The owner needs to crack down on them.

2022-02-24Had a upsetting visit in the past.....but today my faith in humanity was restored. Was contacted by the Charlie a mamager and one of the employees to apologize for what had happened...The manager was so gracious and wanted to make up for our experience..We loved that store and always bought Christmas , Birthdays etc. There...Kindness does matter and the managers actions and kindness was overwhelming...He went over and beyond making sure he had a happy customer that will be back as a customer. Thank you for your kindness and understanding.JENNIFER SAIN..

2022-03-27This is the absolute best gaming establishment Ive ever seen. I do mostly 15mm ACW and old Avalon Hill/SPI strategy stuff, but I like hitting the fantasy/warhammer places for brushes, paints, and quite frankly just to hangout with other game nerds. This place is friggin awesome. Gerhardts crew is professional, technically brilliant, well-stocked, enthusiastic, and have a killer gaming area that is always busy. Seriously, Ive heard of them even accommodating late weekend bashes. I know for a fact many folks venture from miles away up in the metro-plex to game here. Being a military guy, I travel the country excessively. Ive not found a joint like this yet. Can you give six stars?
