Good Luck RV Park, Is One of the best places I have had the pleasure of staying at,I have been here for a year, and I absolutely have no complaints here.Well Managed, Quiet, Clean, Larger then average Sites, Safe, and Monitored Cameras are all over the Park.Definitely an upscale safe place to stay with your family and animals if you’re working in Dallas TX.The manager is strict and puts up with no BS, but fair; she keeps all the Riffraff out of the park.If you follow the couple of rules, they have put in place No messes, Pickup after yourself, No barking dogs, No loud music, pay your rent and keep your partying down to a minimum… Everyone gets along, because most of us work and are here from out of town. Most people that don’t like this park can’t follow the rules or are just not good people to have around.I truly Love this place and the Management that runs it, there is no place better to have a home away from home.
I have stayed in many RV parks over the past several years. This is a nice park located in a not so great part of the city, but like life goes on, Im sure it was a great location before the local populous took a downfall. People are the reason things get degraded, take care of things and have respect for others. This is what I have experienced in this park, people do respect each other and what this park offers. The owners take great pride in having a clean park and respectful residents. There are many long term residents that live here. Anyone should expect that you know how to behave and clean up after yourself, children and animals. You follow the rules and basic manners then you should have no problem staying in this park.
This park is in an urban setting. It has always been clean and safe. If your looking for water falls, pastures, and wide open spaces this is probably not the park for you. If your looking for a safe, clean, urban, ( 3 miles from down town Dallas) RV park close to Dallas this is the best option available. Its run by Jim and Philys and in my experience they take pride in the upkeep of their property. The park is in a city its clean safe and there is no night traffic you my experience in similar locations. The residents are friendly and outgoing, ready to help any fellow traveler. I have been more than satisfied with my experience at the Good Luck. When you see antique farm machinery on Honderson Ave. its called urban art and thats what I call it at the Good Luck RV Park. Stop in if you can it will be worth your time.
Where to begin. If you stay here as a traveler, have a sense of humor. I believe there are only 2 spaces that are not occupied by long term/permanent residents. Those 2 spaces are at the front, literally a stones throw from the interstate. A lot of the sites are RVs inside chain link fences. The traffic nose in non stop and LOUD. We stayed here 5 nights to attend a trade show. There were no other available parks in the area. The office had bars on all the windows and door to keep people from breaking in. We are fully contained, so didnt see the showers or laundry. The dog park was decorated with old farm implements and lots of trash and dog crap.I dont think anyone picked up their dog poo. One morning I took the dog and cat out and there were two dogs in the dog park without an owner. Never seen that before. Oh and there was a pet cemetery. That was a bit odd, but some of these people lived here years, so I guess they need a place to bury their pets. There is an exxon within walking distance that blasted very profane rap thru there speaker system. Lots of people hanging around outsideThe first night we were there we heard gun shots. The second night, we actually sat outside by our fire pit and watched a police chase go by on the interstate THREE times. The entire thing was a trip. That being said, no one tried to steal anything off our tiny site. The few residents we talked to were very nice.I wouldnt stay here again, if you do. ..good luck getting a decent nights sleep and keep your eye open
It seems to be a quiet little Park. It has a nice little playground and Doggie Parkas well as an onsite laundry facility which is reasonably priced. May beard to get an opening with RV parks around the Dallas area being in such high demand. I is worth it should you have an oportunity to stay!
Drove by and looked pretty desolate. Judging from the owners response to some of these comments, seems like a place only cheap folk would live. Disrespecting a veteran is a total no in my book. An owner should show customer service and be polite, civil, and respectful. Even when telling someone to leave. Just blasting back like you have an airhorn for a mouth only makes you and your business look trashy.
Well me and my husband visited today and the community is nice i like it just the demeanor and the peaceful people made us forget where we were now we really dont care about the outside we care about the feeling and good vibes were going to need a spot and i sure hope they can help us because we like being around good people and the longhorns look marvelous we will contact you guys Monday
TERRIBLE SERVICE! I called and got a spot reserved in the morning time but they wouldnt let me pay with a card over the phone. After my husband drove 2 hours to get there and was about 30 min away they called me back and said the spot was going to be given to someone else and they had nothing else available. To the reply: She sure didnt mention that I had to wait for the other guy to say yes or no this morning.
Im an honorable retired military veteran 43 years old I drove 4 hours from Oklahoma City for the Oklahoma Texas game to be at this park got there talk to the front office they only offer to pay with cash didnt have an ATM no ice machine no Wi-Fi internet no cable had to bring my satellite I set up a inflatable hot tub just wanted to watch some football outside of my RV and not make any Ruckus I had everything set up and the toothless crackhead in the front office called my phone and had the nerve to tell me to tear it down that I was going to be using too much water and did I know how much it would cost for water to fill it up? So I ended up running in the water on them down the sewer drain the next 3 days straight since I paid for this I figured I might as well use the water in anyway I saw fit...Piss poor redneck way of operating a business wont go back there again ghetto location ghetto people that run the show... right next to the highway constant traffic and loud

2022-01-03I came to Good Luck in July and at first I was a little apprehensive because of the are it in but once I moved in we fell in love with it and had no regrets. The place is a safe haven once you enter the park you leave behind the loud and unattractive neighborhood because this place welcomes you with its lovely mature trees and friendly neighbors. Phylis and Kim were very professional and friendly and helpful. My husband, 2 young kids and elderly mom and myself lived here for six months and we walked, rode bikes and we felt quite safe, we left kids bikes, tool box and propane tanks outside and never had any issues with stuff missing. I walked my dogs late at night and the place was safe and I saw other ladies walk their dogs too. I loved it here and I definitely recommend this place.

2022-06-11I recently moved here at the beginning of June, and its like a hidden gem. The people that run the place are friendly, the tenants all seem nice everyone that I have seen says hi. The price is reasonable. Its close to Dallas and major highways. I used to live in the area, so I am already familiar with the best option to shop for groceries, and its an easy drive to places for shopping (Cedar Hill Shopping Village, Costco, WinCo, Lowes, Target, restaurants, etc.)

2021-10-30We had a great experience at Good Luck RV! We were there for 2+ months in the summer of 2021 while I was having medical treatments in Dallas. Kim and Phyllis were always helpful and kind. They were also very accommodating when our situation changed and we needed to stay longer than anticipated. It’s quiet, safe, and peaceful. We would highly recommend it, and we hope to come back for a visit in the near future.

2019-04-24Quiet little place right by downtown Dallas. It seems to be mostly long term rentals, but we were in an overnight spot. There is no wifi or cable for overnight, but there is laundry and restroom facilities. Also, walking distance to Jack in the Box.

2021-12-07Really nice park, first I’ve stayed in and given the area this park is extremely nice comparative, the owners (Kim and Phyllis) are always helpful and resolve problems you have quick and to the point. Haven’t had a problem with theft, bad neighbors, or maintenance issues so all around a great spot for Dallas would recommend 100%

2020-07-06I must say, even though the park is close to interstate 35, the traffic noise isnt too bad at night. The park is clean and well maintained. Mostly long term rentals. My RV is parked in a long term spot. I drive to Dallas weekly for chemo and this allows me to stay in my own bed overnight. My neighbors are very nice, quiet, and look out for my Rv when Im not there. We have a spot with a fenced in yard. No animals but the neighbors all have dogs. Well behaved dogs, that dont bark to often. The management is great, people polite, kind, and helpful. There is no wifi and they dont take credit cards, but do accept out of state checks. Honestly, I dont miss the wifi. Im there to rest comfortably, and thats what I do. They do have cable TV available. All together a lovely park, shaded and well maintained. 5 stars from me.

2021-03-01I’ll be completing my year here in April. Love living here. Phyllis and Kim (management) are both always so helpful and always get back to me about any questions or concerns in a timely manner.

2020-06-16Boring, crowded, and rude and ungrateful staff.Complained about the breed of our dog. Told us our yard looked “littered” while we were unpacking a truck, then called and towed it the following day. Only two security cameras in the ENTIRE park, that barely work. Two faced owners, that seem so nice when you talk face to face, but immediately turn around and bad mouth anything you do. They rent out your space before you even move out, because of the “waiting list.” Spitting distance from the freeway. The entire park smells like rotten fish. Pitiful dog “park.” Threatens to tow trailers who exceed their stay, but then “forgets.” All together it’s not safe. Least concerning issue: soda machine that doesn’t vend sodas.Wouldn’t come back if someone paid me too.
