Awesome location. 5-10 worthy item scoops Avery careful trip. They used to randomly have an influx of HiFi speakers such as a set of DCM TF600s equipped with 6 6.5 drivers each. Christmas on Earth came an a Turaday afternoon when right among the display right smack in theeeeee middlr of the stoor floor I stumble on a MINT 375 WATT RMS 12 in side firing VELoODYNE. Youre going to disregard this whole account after you read that the list price I coughed up for the component was a whopping $25. MSRP $500 big ones and good good itll hit as yard as you could want it to and feel like its bringing down the crossbeams of the house lil buddy how do you like me now?
Maybe you should train your employees on how to communicate. Instead of “you should just get back in your car, we don’t take that” maybe go with “sorry we don’t take that, but you I think (insert another org) does”. Northerners definitely need a lesson on communication.
This location is awful. There’s an employee who’s drunk on power and price checks everything. It took her 20 min to check out two people because she kept sending another employee to be sure that lamp or jeans were really $10. It was so embarrassing to be accused of “putting the wrong price on”.
This is the worst of all Goodwill locations and the employees are apparently unhinged! Especially an employee named Louis. Me and my wife watched while louis yelled at a customer who was asking for assistance. We wont be back to this location and will contact Goodwill headquarters. The employee yelled so viciously at the customer, I thought he was going to attack her. My wife was terrified!
Variety was good, prices more upscale compared to Alaska. The staff was very friendly and helpful with expedited service. Once they learned I was from Alaska they and the customers were even more friendly and inquisitive. It made me feel unique. But the store was clean and nicely organized. I love Austin.
There is a very wide range of things in this store and the staff has done some work to try and organize things... especially the clothing. But throughout my time in the store there was one crash after another as customers were trying to pick through the kitchen and household goods. If you see something that could easily be a set you must look up and down and on multiple shelving to find the mates. And then things become a mess again.... and breaking happens again.Staff was nice and did great even though they were short staffed....
Good selection, but not as organized as the ones in Virginia. The group clothes by color there, as well as size. Also, the prices are way too high. Ive put several shoes and shirts back and just ordered things and eBay and Amazon. Why would anyone pay so much for used clothes?
Overly priced. Price should be based on quality and condition not based on name brand. Items should not be boutique price. What every happened to GOODwill?? If goodwill already gets their merchandise for free, why price it so high if ALL the proceeds are profit??? This location used to be my favorite. Ill take my love for thrift shopping elsewhere.
I visited this store last week. They have a large book selection and I was able to find several good ones. I found some records and a pair of nice boots for just $10. The records are $2 a piece and so are the paperbacks. The hardbacks were $4. So I wouldve gotten more if they were cheaper, but Austin Goodwills seem to cost a little more than Im used to. The place was really crowded, probably the Holiday season. In all, I was happy with the experience and came out with some cool stuff.
The store is very clean and orderly but 2 women at the register were loudly badmouthing another worker. The younger woman was wearing a red sweat shirt and continued complaining to anyone that would listen. The older woman tried to change the subject but it didn’t seem to matter. Very unprofessional!
Ive been to a few Goodwill stores in Austin and this location is one of my favorites. Its very big and is the most OCD organized. I easily found my size for clothes because all the shirts, blouse, pants, and shorts are separated and sorted by size and color (which made it sooo much easier to shop!!). I found khaki work pants, capri pants, shorts, and a few good looking dishes. The prices are very good. It is definitely worth checking out.
Coming here is like going on a treasure hunt. I have a thing for 1960s to early 80s cookware and glassware and for that this is the place to go! You can get that edgy vintage look for a fraction of what you would pay at Anthropology or Crate & Barrel. Take a day off and do a Goodwill of Austin tour! I promise you wont be disappointed!
This Goodwill was clean and staff was friendly. Though I waited for someone to unlock the dressing room for 5-6 minutes, pressed the bell twice, until someone came out from the back when I asked him to please unlock the dressing rooms. May need more staff to keep an eye on dressing rooms on a busy Saturday afternoon.
Why did you increase the price of your vinyl records to $1.99? Most other Goodwills sell albums for .99 cents. It seems like the jump from .99 to 1.99 is a price jump that is not justified! Please review your pricing on these items, which at the new price will be headed to a landfill.

2022-07-10Not sure what happened but all the sudden they started overpricing (more than they already were) and adding As Is stickers to everything. Seems like theyre taking in things that probably dont work (that you cant test) and sticking you with it if it doesnt work.Disappointed.

2022-07-20The supervisor, Ken, walks around talking about being a gang member and is very unprofessional. He talks down to employees in front of customer, contributing to a hostile work and shopping environment.

2022-05-28Been going there every week for the past few months and enjoying finding bits and bobs to take home.Last week i bought an Xbox 360 but couldnt be sure it worked. So i asked the manager (guessing she was the one in charge) and she assured me i could return it if it didnt. The week before i had bought a wii and she had told me the exact same thing (just make sure you bring all the bits back!), so i was confident i would be safe either way.The Xbox didnt work properly. So i brought it back today. And that very same lady told me in no uncertain terms that i could not and consoles were final sale. She also refused to take back an electric scooter bought at the same time also not functionning (we bought a charger to test it at home). Which she had also told us we could return.Blatant lying and 0 sympathy. I thought they were the good guys and was trying to spend my money there for a good cause. Ripping people off like everwhere else.Very upsetting.

Almost $10!!Goodwill used to be place of low prices for ALL to benefit.Plan to visit thrift shops next time or Salvation Army for me.

2022-07-26Getting very expensive for secondhand used goods. Can buy new for same price catching store sales. They need to re-evaluate their pricing.

2022-02-08Super shady management. overpriced items. overall, I think the goodwills in central texas are depreciating in quality. maybe need a refresh, because $17 for a pair of sweatpants shouldn’t happen at a thrift store.
