I wish they offered organic spices and Hormel natural choice deli meat, and hormel uncured bacon. I always have to drive to another HEB to find certain things.
Place is clean, restrooms can use cleaning. They have what I want and need. Cant go wrong with HEB
Theyre usually very crowded but they have pretty good deals when they have everything in stock. All in all its a pretty good store!

I dropped off my prescription and was told it would take 30 minutes. They said they would call me when it was ready as well. Almost 2 hours later I go back and they still didnt have it ready. I do not recommend this HEB Pharmacy. Better off going to a Wal Mart pharmacy.
I went to get a prescription filled at the pharmacy. Christian the pharmacy technician was very professional and courteous. They were very busy but he remained calm and very polite to every customer he helped. I wish that some of the techs that have been there for 15 or 20 years were as nice. Ive ran into a couple at 10th and Trenton that made me feel like I should be greatful they take my prescription.Christian is an an example we all should follow when giving excellent customer service .
Literally bought these avocados yesterday and these were the best ones available. I complained to the manager and he seemed to be giving me an attitude and he even said, well it doesnt look bad... and I grabbed a bunch of apples and I said, These apples are ready for applesauce, feel them.

This location is a smaller than the newer ones, I frequent the larger HEB locations when I do my weekly shopping, and just stop in to this location to pick up something I may have forgotten. Employees are nice, and store is always clean...
Stores kinda small and not the cleanest. But they have most of what you need.
HEB has always been my favorite grocery store but I recently noticed that they were doing some changes on the Isles. It kind of makes it a little harder to find things but I guess well adjust. Keep doing a great job H-E-B team! Wonderful customer service! Many blessings and keep safe! ❤

Since I found that Edinburg Closener Ave. HEB carries fuel additives at personal selection and car wash selections with fuel prices low it has been pleasant to do my business there. The car wash does a much better job of washing my car than some of the other washes Ive used. Im very pleased with how clean my car is when I exit the Wash. THANK YOU!!!!

There is a reason folks in Edinburg refer to this store as the ghetto heb.
I would have given it 2 stars because everyone in that store is rude, however, the employee named Dorian made a good impression and helped me take all my groceries to the car. Made me smile and made my day. I recommend other customers to ask Dorian for help. He is respectful and kind. I wished the other employees could be more like him.

This H.E.B. location is center located in Edinburg. It has a fuel pump/gas station. All departments always clean and includes Bakery, Produce, Meats, Dairy & grocer. Small vendor inside. Parking lot & spaces always busy area.

Just wanted to give a shout out to this HEB. I took my niece here to help her with a possible 2 week quarantine supply and this place was organized and efficient. At least 6 employees came up to us asking if we needed any help or assistance to our car. Even the customers were calm. There was a new pallet of water that came out and each person only took one or two cases of water so that others could get some water too. When we were walking out, a teen aged boy came up to an older women in an electric cart and asked if she needed any help. Great job guys!!!

The place and people were vibing. Clean and ready to serve and thats what I like about this place. I rated a 3 star not for the lines and fees but for the gruyere cheese. When you do the research before walking in the store and you post that you have the item. Please have the item that is said to be stocked. Ill take my two stars and place them on Wal-Mart for they had what I needed and then some. Thank you 5 star Wal-Mart

I never heard of an HEB store until I arrived in Texas. Now thats all I know. This location employees are friendly but busy. But if you need any assistance they help you as soon as possible 👌. Check out line moves quickly. However, I would like to see self service lines available.

Best place to get groceries
I love coming to this HEB for payments. Its convenient to come here when you have to get essentials and cant make it to the HEB on 10th. However, it suffers from a lack of open registers and is usually pretty packed. They used to have this amazing sun tent outside that would protect from most sun going outside but they removed it and now you cant wait outside or youll melt. Their cashiers and door people are usually in a weird mood and they hardly greet you. Ive gone during different times of the day and theres always something on their mind.
After shopping at this H E B on 9/30/2020, I left my phone in the shopping cart. Thinking I left my phone in the car when I got home, I wasnt worried about it. At 10:30 p.m., I realized I left it atH E B. Went back to store hoping someone found it and turn it in. At the store, I asked to see a manager and told her I think I left my phone in the shopping cart. She immediately went to the office to check. The phone was there. An employee taking care of carts had turned in my phone. Thank youH E B for having honest workers.
I love this HEB. Been shopping here for years. Despite it being busy majority of the time we’re always greeted with a smile. That’s always been my experience.
Attitude of the staff is disgusting. It’s like they don’t like their job and they don’t care. They’re quick to tell you that you did not give the correct amount or that you’re missing change, when you’ve counted the amount twice to make sure it’s correct. Happened three times in the past and went to speak directly to the manager. Had him count the amount and turns out I was correct. In my opinion this establishment is very “ghetto”.
It was nice for Jr at Edinburg HEB to wipe the belt, every time I go I need to ask the cashier to wipe the belt & as usual cashiers always roll their eyes. Jr was polite & friendly. 5 stars for you Jr great job

I love this HEB. Its my go-to grocery store. My only complaint is that the bakery items attract flies and should be covered. I dont know why they removed them from the enclosed shelf. Its off-putting because its not something we can wash, like we can a fruit.

They never answer when I called and sometimes hang up after it rings. The money service line is absurd, only 2 people ahead of me and waited 30 minutes til my turn. Today I went and there was about 14 people in line, and only 1 woman working. They need to hire more people!This Heb is super small I’ll go here only if I have to...

Ever since moving to the Rio Grande Valley, HEB has been my favorite place to pick up groceries. This location, although not as nice as other locations, offers a great selection of items at a great price. Cant go wrong with the store brand either. The lines werent long when we went; however, the security seemed to be stepped up due to the higher crime rate in the area.
Many items are cheaper than Walmart. Easy to find items. Need to fix pot holes. Hate when carts jam.
It was Great as always! Attendant at cash register #11 was super and the grocery bagger also loaded a cart- full of groceries into the trunk of my car. One cant ask for more!
I used to go to this HEB at least 5 times a week. This week I bought some groceries and paid with my debit card. I got $20 cash back with my purchase. The bill I got from HEB was fake. I tried to return it and they said they could not do anything for me. I was OK with their response. The thing that bothered me the most was the manager’s attitude. He was very condescending, rude, and treated me like if I was criminal. He could not tell me what their policy was for fake currency. He said that they did not have one. In addition, I found out that cashiers do not even have pens to check for fake bills.
I like to shop at HEB versus Walmart because of the discounts the yellow paper discounts as well as their specials. I wish they would provide veterans with a discount of A Sort. After all many served their country without being asked. I know many veterans that have difficulty paying for their food. We are a proud breed and would rather pay discounted prices than to apply for entitlements. God Bless America
Every carton of whole white mushrooms were hard & NOT fresh at all. I checked every carton. I had to buy a box. This was confirmed when I got home to clean & slice up the mushrooms they were hard. Perform a higher level of quality control in your vegetable section or more people will go elsewhere to get fresh items.

This HEB is ok. Its a lot smaller than the one we frequent (Trenton and 10th) but it does the job for quick grocery runs. It has a lot less selection but the prices are the same so no complaints here.
Heb had three check out lanes opened for regular lines, had one lane for under fifteen items, plus check yourself out for under ten items, the fifteen and under lane was empty but they would not let me check out Thier but they told me I could go checkout myself in the under ten items lane, this doesnt make sense, the check-out person was just standing there
H.E.B. has fresh produce, meats, can goods, the deli department must to go, fresh products most of all their Employees are courteous, kind, always ready to assist if needed wonderful place to shop.

The main thing I do not like about this location is the employees attitude. Usually they are tolerable. However when I have a question, employees rarely look at you and just point you in the general direction or give you the isle number. When they do look at you, you feel as though you have interrupted the most important conversation in the world Wirth the look you get.What happened to the old H.E.B.? The one where they were glad to see you. Always had a smile on their face, and walked you to the correct isle.Hey guys, lots of people are unemployed. You should be walking around with a grin from ear to ear. Also, enough of the personal conversation between employees while you are cashing me out. It was an amazing experience! It so happened there was a flashflood with torrential downpour of rain. HEB staff were on top of their game. They were helping all of their customers to and from vehicles and securing their safety. Great job HEB staff! Thank you for your assistance.

I go to HEB every single day; sometimes twice a day. I buy groceries on a daily bases. Their fruit and vegetables are amazing. HEB specials are the my favorite reason for shopping. No store does more than my HEB.
I dont like thier high prices. But I love thier produce and store brand items.
Good place to shop for food items, even special items. For instance, I wanted an apple fritter, so I went to a nearby conscience store then to a bakery to no avail. Finally I went to the downtown HEB. At the HEB I found the sought after apple fritters.

I buy my groceries at HEB because it has specials on a lot of items every week. It is way cheaper than La Michoacana or Juniors Supermarket. Plus love to use their HEB coupons.
Theres a reason why this HEB is called the ghetto HEB or the HEB de los Mexicanos. They dont have a wide selection on certain items. But the store is clean and the employees are nice.

I went to H-E-B today and my son drop hes ball on the floor and while I was trying to get the ball from the floor I cut myself with a piece of glass and I report it and somebody was taking notes of what happened and he only got my name, phone number,and address,he didnt give me more information of the situation so I feel like I want to suethem but I dont know what I can do if anybody is reading these can they give me advice please and thank you

Was distraught by the unpleasant customer service i received by Jorge on line 14. As a HEB client i expected to have the pleasant experience promoted by HEBs slogan Here Everythings Better. Instead i was meet with plain-faced-client-service biased Jorge on line 14; who ignores and barely acknowledges a customer, unless its the customers GF. Its never a good experience having to be weary of any staff.

Support this store, good friendly people, actually say God Bless you. They help the Donna Rotary Club out often by donating fajitas for our annual BBQ plate sale. All the the funds go to Scholarships and youth projects.
I had to wait thirty mins to get a western union money gram because the supervisors did not care about the long line at the service desk. one of them just stood behind counter drinking her soda not caring about the long line. I complained but they didnt care, it was the store on closner. it can be said the supervisors are the reflexion of the store manager, where was he? probably in the office drinking his soda.
The store is alright for being old, but I expect this one to be replaced first in the McAllen, Mission, Pharr, and Edinburg area. It is definitely older, and corporate would do themselves a favor if they replaced the missing and old ceiling tiles. It is a big fire hazard.
We need a NEW HEB, Edinburg is growing and this HEB on Closner is getting too small, hardly any parking, long lines, Great service.

This place sux. Its too small. Its cramped and you are constantly bumping into other people, carts and shelfs. I never get in and out fast like i do at other hebs. The parking is a nightmare, i usually have to go 4 times around the parking lot just to find parking. Its just small place

This is a smaller store, but they still carry quite a few items I cant find elsewhere. If you want an HEB Plus, go to HEB plus. This is more of a neighborhood grocery store. Very friendly staff too!

I would like coming here if only it wasnt a place with hot guy employees and customers, and if it wasnt so overcrowded. (Im just going to leave it like this cause I just want to tell the truth)

This has always been my favorite HEB.BUT they need to bring back tje large curd cottage cheese and they need to stock up more on HEB Hazelnut creamer

At HEB the workers , cashiers are polite and friendly they are always ready to help if you need anything.
Could use a little more friendly approach, usually have to wait for cashiers to stop talking to the baggers to ask questions & there is rarely any organic groceries available.

2021-12-23This HEB is thriving with great energy, great products, everything smells delicious!! The staff is super friendly, hard at work keeping everything stocked up to the T, everyone looks spectacular in their working uniforms. This is def a must go to place! Haven’t seen such great looking produce in a while, the meat and chicken out on display were so appetizing and ready for a savory dish. Stop in and get some of that deliciousness, YEAH!!

2021-12-30Lately this HEB hasnt been well stocked to the point of questioning managements ability to run the store. Today I literally went shopping here for 5 Items. Arizona Sweet Tea Gallon, Fritos corn chips Family size, Chile Limon Lays potato chips, Milk and butter. I only came out with last 2 items. When you can only get 3 out of 5 Items you have to raise an eye brow. Problem is, its been happening for months now, I just decided to write this review today. All over the store they are poorly stocked. Ive read other reviews saying that this HEB is runned down, sadly I now have to agree. I feel as if customers are not being valued as much as other customers at more upscale HEBs. From awfully poor noisy lop sided carts to no Handles on refrigerator doors. To barely stocked shelves to over ripe fruits and vegetables. HEB is sending a message to their consumer. NOT ALL CONSUMERS ARE VALUED.... So sad... This is my neighbor hood HEB. 🥺🥺

2022-06-13This morning Mary and l went shopping at HEB on south Closer and looked for oatmeal cookies with raisins and NADA!! On our way to the cashiers I saw a manager (Ruben) I believe. I asked why lately this cookies have been missing on the shelves, he immediately checked on his devise and told us that they might not be selling them anymore. He showed us a product made in the bakery and told us to try it (oatmeal/raisins) and it wouldn t cost us. Thank You Sir, he was kind and polite and cared for His customers.

2022-07-14VERY UPSET! This HEB has bad customer service one worker that I got was so rude AND on top of that she was throwing my food around because she was mad at the fact that I went through the express lane and she started acting up and she messed up and squished my bread and other things I PAID for. Spoke to a manager she was very apologetic she was understanding and offered to exchange my damaged items but I just did not want to start any argument with that worker! Her name is Martha so Martha if you’re reading this you have such BAD customer service. If this is the way you treat customers you should not work here!!! I really hope this is situated and they stop hiring people like this!

2022-06-14I don’t really like this HEB because it was severely outdated up until last year. This is also one of the more crowded stores you can go to and if you like to be in and out quickly, it will impede on that.

2022-02-08This is by far the H‑E‑B with the worst customer service I ever experienced. No respect or appreciation for the customer at all.Your personal that occupy the meat market that has a station in the middle of the isle doing what ever he’s doing will look at you and expect you to move around him in the middle of the isle. And mind you this is in the middle of your lane I front of the meat and isle by the groceries.And you self checkout has major issues where it seems everything need approval from a clerk so why bother using it.If you expect people not to choose other forms of grocery options stand alone with customer service it goes a long way.Good bye

2022-04-22I agree with other reviewers, this HEB has good products and friendly, helpful staff. My only hesitation in giving 5 stars revolves around my puppy.Yes, Im one of those weird people who bring their dog to the grocery store. I brought my newborn puppy to the store numerous times and placed him in the powered scooter that was graciously provided by HEB (and they do a great job keeping them charged which not all stores in the area do as well as they do).I gushed over how many people would stop and experience the bundle of joy that is my little black lab, Chiquita. Alas, Chiquita is nearly 5 months old now, and takes up more of the room in the cart than she used to as a wee little pup. But, I always place my own towel down in the bottom of the cart to make sure she is comfy and I am not getting dog hair on the HEB property.This went on for 4 months and employees and customers would all smile and wave me thru. Recently, one employee stopped me and informed me, We welcome you to bring your dog into our store, but it needs to be on a leash and not in a cart. I agreed and felt embarrassed at the same time. Being summoned to the principals office and scolded over my not-so-rule-abiding behaviors is a foreign experience to me. Ive always been the teachers-pet type and adhering to rules and being polite and loving my neighbor has always been my credo. I dont doubt that the employee was probably correctly spouting the HEB policy straight from the HEB Store Manager Handbook. Heck, she might have even been under orders from someone to have a talk with me.But, I did take her scolding to heart, and I was not impressed. On my next 2 visits, I left my puppy in the car, and she squealed bloody murder in the parking lot. I thought she was going to have a heart attack when I arrived back at my parked car cuz she was so excited. Call me an overly caring daddy, but I have issues with leaving my pup at home. The neighbors say she howls and sqeals the whole time I am gone. I dont expect HEB to solve my squealing dog problem, but....it is what it is.So. Grats on your 4 stars even though I really wanted to give you 5.
