Guitar Center in other cities:
I bought a power adapter for a drum set in December as a gift. It didn’t turn out to work. I had no receipt, but I tried to exchange for a unit that may work. They were unable to verify the purchase via the credit card I used claiming having no database. Any retail store that can’t track an order for less than 30 days in 2021 is a poor excuse for sbudiness. Don’t buy from these clowns. Go to Strait Guitar down the road. They have far better employees and customer service.
Bought a Novation MiniKey MIDI workstation and absolutely love it. The guy who was in the electronics department was super helpful and knowledgeable about what I was getting. Also you can best believe I had a lot of questions for just about every compact MIDI workstation they had, and he didnt fail me on steering me directly towards just what I was looking for. It ALSO came with a lite version of ableton which is AMAZING. Thanks so much guitar center.
The guy in the back running rentals and selling was a wild man. Patrick I think his name was. All by his lonesome and he was helping customers buy or rent left and right but never rushing. Always taking time to make sure the customer got exactly what they needed. Full of knowledge and helpful suggestions.Sure I stood in a line because he was just one employee but he was doing the work of three!
Impressive selection at a great place for all your music needs, professional or beginner. Im super impressed with the way theyve integrated their online experience with whats available at local stores. Great staff here--and their marketing department at corporate is made up of some clearly smart folks. This is from a guy with marketing analytics experience: phenomenal work.
Picked up a bass guitar to check it out, and the strings we super loose. Not just a bad set up. Rattling loose. Several employees were just sitting around chatting amongst themselves. IMO, any idle time should be spent making sure all their instruments are in perfect playable condition. Another customer said he found the same poorly setup guitar at another GC. Sad. I wonder how many sales they miss because of stuff like this.
The salesperson was helpful and very knowledgeable about the speakers I came in to look at! He was also accommodating plugging them in and letting me listen. The only minor drawback was a little bit of a feeling of being rushed to put some money down to hold one to guarantee it was in stock... just in case I decided to purchase. But when I said I wasnt ready for that there was no hard sell, which I appreciated!
Dont buy from here if you plan on returning anything. Staff has been helpful and nice through the process (except for the service email), but getting a simple return on an online store pickup order has really been pulling teeth. Mind you, I tried to cancel my order about 30 minutes after I paid, but even *that* was too late for them. Not only did the system split my return in two for no reason first time around, but the second half of my return was put into store credit.Prior to the purchase I checked over their return policy and nowhere did it say that half my return would be made into store credit for any reason. Even the phone rep was confused when I told him what had happened.
I basically walked in there just before the percussion staff member was about to get off his shift, saying I wanted an entire electronic drum with accessories and all..he patiently helped me source everything I needed, recommended the best value-price options and answered every question I had! Threw in a pair of drumsticks for free. After I had my drum kit together, my friend asked for some advice on keyboards and midi boards, again the staff took the time to walk us through all the options, explain the differences and ordered one they didnt happen to have in stock. At the end, they helped roll out all my drum parts to our car and load them. Couldnt ask for better customer service! The kit itself is great too, Ive been playing every day. Sure there are many more options online but there was something so satisfying about being able to go home with a working kit that same day, plus get all the expert advice.
Employees have no care. They are lifeless and rude and smug. Went looking for a guitar and no one approached me for 45 minutes. As I was leaving someone finally asked if I needed help and then I said yes and he pawned me off to some kid with no emotions and when I asked if they had a PRS he said no. There were 5 right next to us. Spend money at a small non corporate setting. Lifeless betas working here
DO NOT GO HERE. Been here 3 times and each time Cade and other employees have been very rude. Last time, Cade used foul language and insulted my parentage when I requested he could handle my transaction and answer the phone at the same time. Prices are typically 20% higher than Amazon, of course and the service is terrible.
Ive been going to various Guitar Centers for almost 30 years now. One of my favorite stores. Ive been to this location several times but this was my first visit back in the past 3 years. Staff was friendly, but man stock seemed low. There was maybe a third of their regular guitar inventory on the wall and almost all of it was up far out of reach. I was looking to try out an ibanez, but the only had two(!!!) on the wall and neither was what I was looking for.I know the last year has been hard but for a store that presumably wants to sell gear they sure dont have much in stock.
If you like self-important failed musicians with terrible attitudes that dont listen to anything you ask or say, then you might just be in luck... because this is the place for you!I seriously abhor this place and most of the employees treat you like you are bothering them. First time, I went to buy studio monitors. The rep cut me off anytime I started telling him about my studio setup and INSISTED that I buy the WRONG speakers, then got mad at me when I didnt take his suggestion. Ordered them on Amazon, THEY WORK PERFECTLY. Went back, a decent rep sold me an Audio Interface (nice one, decent price, brand new, in the used counter because it was opened... no problem there.... EXCEPT...) As it turns out, didnt even need it. So, I went back to try to sell it back to them at a loss, which I was fine with. Also took a few perfect condition vintage components (Yamaha and Technics) with me because their website says, For vintage gear, we have a dedicated group of experts who are available during all Guitar Center open hours to assist in evaluations. We take pride in our acquisition process and are firmly committed to making fair market wholesale offers.Horsewash. Dood didnt even look at them. Said, Not At All Interested In Those... and my test computer was fried this morning, so to test this Interface, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING IN YOUR OWN COMPUTER. I thought he was kidding. I said really??, chuckling... to which he got visibly offended and raised his voice and squared up on me through the Covid-Glass and hollered, YEAH. REALLY. with one of those super tough stares that musicians are known for. Needless to say, this made the other customers at the counter SO uncomfortable, and they left... right after I did. This will be the last time I let you hurt me, GC. I thought we had a connection. Turns out I was just flush with love from making badass music. Its not you, Its me. I deserve better, and I wont let your toxicity drag me down ever again.Signed,Mr. Joshua Heresy
Bad customer service, for a start.Lots of rude, smug, @ssholes.Ive always bought from guitar center in the past, but one bad experience after another (and the things i hear online) are leading me to other places. You would be better off doing business with Sweetwater tbh.Hopefully this will be the last time I ever do business with Guitar Center. Blegh.
Store is a bit run down. I know this year has been rough on distribution and sales, but it doesn’t give an excuse for customer service. Came in looking for a simple cable and a new controller, when they didn’t have what I needed they tried having me spend more on a new interface instead of giving tips on how to make it work (they sell the interface I currently own). I got what they didn’t have on Amazon while in the store, but customer service goes a long way. I’ll drive down to SA from now on.
Ive been shopping here during the pandemic and I have to admit theyve really been to help me update my recording workflow basically from the ground up.Their manager Chris is awesome and pat in pro audio is great. Ill definitely continue shopping at this particular location. Great customer service.
I visited this store a few weeks ago. This place was absolutely filthy! There were pieces of cardboard boxes all over the floor, there was packing tape stuck to the carpet. It looked like the place hadnt been vacuumed in weeks. Every single room was a disaster! The store was nearly void of gear and musical instruments as well. If it were possible to give less than one star, I would have done so.
Guitar Center is heaven for musicians. This store has a huge variety of guitars and other instruments available for you to play, try and buy. Theres an amazing section for acoustic guitar with proper temperature control to make sure that the guitars stay in their best shape and tone. You can try any instruments for hours before making a decision. The staff is super helpful and always available for your queries. The best part is that everyone working here are musicians themselves and most of them have bands of their own so you know you are talking to someone who understands what you are looking for.
If youre into music like my son and I, this is a great place to shop for musical instruments. We are more interested in their guitars but have messed around on a few of their demo drum kits, always fun. Plus we like their friendly and patient staff. Keep up the good work and rock on! Oh and we just bought a Gretsch short scale bass. Loving learning on it so far.
Great Guitar Center. The huge selection you would expect from guitar center. I went in for nylon strings but found a capo for a great price on sale. The capo didnt ring up at the right price but the error was corrected quickly and with the casual disinterest we all expect from a guitar store. I had forgotten this store was here but now that I know Ill be back. Great job folks!
Wow. I have never given a review for one star. Please let the guy working in the audio/recording department that what should have been a simple conversation about the Shure drum mics lost Guitar Center a customer. The guy that works in the Drum section is awesome and Ill miss chatting with him
Sales staff are always always friendly. great used selection. if you keep an eye out you can get a pretty good deal. I do think they need to set out picks like Straight music has in their acoustic room. I usually forget to bring my own. but other than that, I cant recommend this place enough.
Recently I got a 2019 Gibson Les Paul Tribute in Honey Burst in a Scratch n Dent deal. Real beauty of a guitar with great tone and it came with a really nice Gibson softcase. Although I got a really good deal on an awesome guitar there was a very small problem. The guitar came without the Rythym-Treble poker chip for the selector switch, online reviews mentioned it came in the case but mine was missing, when I called and asked about it, they looked for one for me and put it aside for me so my guitar would be complete. Thanks guys, one of the reasons I shop here.
Amazing store with multiple choices. Helpful staff makes it easier to navigate even for first timers, will also be kind enough to tell you about tutors and classes which can be really beneficial.Considerate employee, suitable location, lot of parking space are some of the highlights of this location. They do offer repair services as well on the instruments.
My guitar had an input issue so I put feelers out into the repair world here in ATX. I emailed this location a picture of my busted guitar and got a call in less than 5 minutes. Enter Stephen. I couldn’t help but notice that he’s personable, experienced, and efficient. I was sure my repair was going to take a bit but he did it in 10 minutes. He even let me watch the whole process. Definitely the best service from GC ever. Look for Stephen!
Awesome location. The staff was very friendly and helpful, my order was ready for pick up and they were also very prepared for Covid-19, which I appreciate. They had partitions at the register, masks on all workers, and even some complimentary hand sanitizer at the check out. Highly recommended!
Oh boy, as any guitar player will tell you, we like to play on what we like to play on, we tune our guitars and adjust them and set them up just exactly the way we like them. Sometimes we like to try different models, different amps and effect pedals, back in the day it was magazines we ordered from, now, we go check out guitar center. This guitar center has a truly awesome staff.
Ordered a new Marshall DSL20HR on Guitar Center’s website. I didn’t order from this store, but the amp shipped from here. This place sent me a blemished faceplate demo without the footswitch inside a box that was barely holding together. Guitar Center just lost my business. I’ll wait from now on ordering everything from a different vendor.
Not enough staff, and the staff they do have are rude and unhelpful. I wanted to buy a pedal out of the glass case and none of the employees would just tell me the price, instead choosing to respond with “sorry I’m busy.” They were too busy testing out amps in front of suburban moms buying for their 8 year old sons. Not worth shopping here.
Hands down the best guitar center in Austin. Came here for a trade-in and the guy who did it for me (Hersch) really knew his stuff. He was very professional and treated me really well. He answered every question I had, and gave me one of the best experiences I’ve ever had doing business with guitar center. I highly recommend this location for your guitar center needs and couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
They sold me a mixer that doesnt power on but said that it was as is but worked. $700 wasted. I even asked the guy the difference between the 2 units that were on display he said go with the cheaper one so I took his word for it and ended up with a broken mixer. Im setting up for a gig and pull it out the box to find the unit doesnt even power on. I feel robbed of my hard earned money and conned by the guy that sold me this unit. Guitar Center has let me down.
Great, fast service. But not all sales people were cooperating with their co-workers. The guys helping me were attentive. But there was a big line behind me and other workers playing guitars, in their own world. I could tell it was irritating to the available workers. Very inconsiderate for all.
I shop at guitar center a lot. I am also a traveling musician. This guitar center refused to help me as a customer. I go in here for band instrument supplies, guitar supplies for myself and students. I was needing to ship my keyboard to myself in travels. I called in and asked a representative if they could help with as I was looking for a cardboard box to ship it in. They just throw away boxes and he said yeah, we have one just stop in. He went to go get the box and was stopped and they told him it was against company policy to give out boxes. I spoke with the manager and he said the companies told him to stop giving out boxing. I’m pretty sure most companies don’t care about cardboard that they are just going to throw in the trash anyway. Refused to help me. I have gotten a box or two in the past because of traveling and like I said they just throw them away. I’ll shop somewhere else from now on. I’m not spending another dime with guitar center. Cheap company that won’t lift a finger to help their customers.
No real comment on this location.m because Guitar Center in general is great. A lot of the staff here at this particular store are non musicians and seems like they attack u with rehearsed sales scripts. Think, used car salesmen working on commission. Several are actual musicians tho and know exactly whats up - ya just gotta find that person. They have a very skilled gtr tech right now
I really like that the staff is helpful and interested in helping you make the right choice when youre not sure. They are always knowledgeable and friendly in my experience. The selection is usually pretty good but recently its a little limited mostly due to covid-19. Otherwise, Ive always had a pleasant experience at GC.
This is a ghost of a store .. i dont see why its still open. It has no gear at the moment and its very dated regardless it never really does even pre pandemic . G.c needs to upgrade and update its sales people and layouts as well as customer demo equipment setups with either more knowledgeable people not with (your wasting my time attitude) and eager to show you(even if your not buying today)what you need with out pushing profitability in front of professionalism . Train the sales people better. then pushing accessories .. gc is so big it could make showrooms like a namm floor or b&h in nyc or sweetwater in ind. Or the gc in los angeles is ok
Its a great place to have in the area. Fun to browse and usually nice employees. But every once and a while in a while you get the know-it-all who wants you to know hes a superior human. But overall, nice people, reasonable prices and superior selection. I like the store, its a cool place.
Theyve gotten on the base staff, they generally dont know whats going on. Theyre very uptight about the mask thing. I understand it completely, but when youre in the corner of the store by yourself looking at something and they walk right up into your face and tell you to either put your mask on and leave and that sort of speak, it just makes me leave.
We LOVE guitar center! Our kiddos have taken lessons here. There is plenty of equipment to test, the staff is always ready to help. The only reason why I did not give it five stars is because when it came to lessons, there is not always consistent organization. We arrived at our scheduled time, waited for about 5-10 mins, and the instructor was nowhere in sight. Eventually, we alerted the supervisor, and he made a couple of phone calls. Come to find out, we were rescheduled and were given a different instructor. So in that aspect, improvements should be made. We do like that the private rooms for lessons have windows, so concerned parents do not feel too separated.
This place is huge. I was just dropping a band off that came in from the UK to by a few things for their gig at SOSW. I thought I would come in with them and check it out. I personally do not play any instruments but thought, WOW, this place is amazing. One of the guys had bought a device and realized it was the wrong thing. When he called them they said they would deliver the correct device to their show so not to hold them up. Great service guys!
This location has very limited stock. If you are looking for a student guitar this is an ok place to shop. But there was not a single Fender Custom Shop guitar in the entire place. There is a small place in North Austin called Guitar Resurrection that has a great inventory. I guess that is where all the great guitars go in Austin.
Fair prices and a big selection of guitars and keyboards. Drums - Not so many options out on the floor. But I understand since each drum kit setup takes up so much space. Staff was knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I buy most of my gear for my band and for the church that I work for. One of the best things is being able to plug in any guitar into any amp. Something you obviously cant to do on a website like Sweetwater.
I hadnt been into a Guitar Center in a while and I was looking forward to a great experience like Ive had in the past. Unfortunately, I roamed around in every department and was in the store for a minimum of 30 minutes and was never greeted, asked if I needed anything, or even thanked for coming in when I left the building. The store had 3-4 guests at the time of my arrival and at least 2 of them were playing guitars and not with an associate. I wouldnt even say I went in at an inconvenient or busy time for a poor experience like I just had. Im headed to Strait Music to purchase a guitar there instead!
Disappointed in the whole online experience. I ordered a guitar and chose the South Mopac location because the site said that it was the only place to have it available for immediate pickup. I drove 30 miles and was told that it wasnt available to take home. I had to wait for it to ship. If I knew that, then I would have ordered it at a much closer location. I was excited to get started this weekend but I guess Ill have to wait.
Ive been going to this Guitar Center for years. Ive always been met with very friendly staff, and theyve always been very helpful, and their selection seems like its gotten progressively better. But I had an experience that left a bad taste in my mouth, that just happened. I called in to ask about how much it would cost to have a pedal of mine fixed, and I got the information I needed; no problem. But I forgot, I had another question to ask, so I called back. I asked how much I could get for some gear, and the man told me, with extreme attitude, we dont give quotes over the phone, alright? And then just hung up, without another word. Seemed like he was angry that I would dare call back. Dont know who it was, but it caught me extremely off-guard. Ill keep doing business with them, but this member of the team needs to check his attitude. Whoever he was. And if I catch his bullshit attitude again, to South Austin Music I go.
Great service, great guitars etc only thing I’m bummed about is that I was told my guitar would arrive within a week and it’s been over a week and it hasn’t even shipped out yet. I should have known things would move slowly with COVID but got my hopes up cuz it seemed like it was gonna happen within the week.
Great customer service from Ben and Chris at Guitar Center south. Got the repair done that I needed on my telecaster and resolved all issues. These guys try, try, try and thats all I can ask for. Lived in Austin for 20 yrs. and ive been to all the guitar shops for guitar repair and purchases, I like that the staff at GC south are straightforward, helpful and humble.
I bought a used guitar from them online and it was supposed to be in great condition, but it came in without the bridge saddle which made it unplayable. I contacted them and they refused to believe that it could be their fault. They said they would email me a return label, and they didnt even do that. Very disappointed.
The wife and I were traveling cross-country and decided to stop in Austin for a few days. I wanted to have new strings put on 2 acoustic guitars. I called around and Ben at this location was by far the most helpful. Ben helped me pick the right strings and put them on both guitars. The other staff I encountered there were also polite & friendly. To the owners of this Guitar Center: Ben made this Atlanta boy feel right at home. Thanks for that.
This Guitar Center is smaller and has less in stock than your average store. I find it useful to look at their app before hand to see if what I was going in for is there. Surprisingly most of the time, it is, but for less popular stuff I buy it in the app and pick it up in store.
If you go here, ask for Blue. He is a wizard and seems to know everything about production equipment. He helped me get a great deal on some new monitors and answered every question I had was ease and inspired confidence that I was making the right choice. To be honest all the staff seemed nice.
I do like coming here and the selection is quite good. Its sort of a players community. Admittedly, GC hires a lot of know-it-all employees who would rather talk shop and inflate their own ego rather than fix a problem, like an individual who had no idea how to correct a buzzy action on an acoustic guitar, but I still enjoy the store and give them lots of money.
Moving from NYC I was shocked to find that the live music capital of the world has so few local music shops. I was prejudiced against Guitar Center from many lackluster experiences and so always tried local shops if I could. However, after consistently finding poor selection, unhelpful staff, and terribly turn around times I reluctantly visited guitar center to pick up a midi keyboard and found it in stock with a very helpful salesman to walk me through other options before I made the purchase..Basically every time I try a local music shop now, I end up leaving disappointed and driving to guitar center only to find ten times the selection and a far more helpful staff. In NYC, the ineptitude of the guitar center staff was a running joke - not here. I have always found the staff ready and able to help. Once after buying an old analog compressor on a whim I came in to find out how to set it up with my minimalist pre-amp lacking a send and though the staff wasnt sure how to set it up, they sat down with me, got on the internet and took the time to figure it out. I had the compressor set up an hour later. Every other time they have already known the answers I needed.Honestly, though your mileage may vary, I have had nothing but very positive experiences here with both stock and staff. Though I will always check the closer shops first out of laziness, in the back of my mind I will know this guitar center is my best bet.
My wife and I came in looking for a guitar and piano. While trying out a piano, one of the associates came by, turned off the power strip the piano was connected to, and informed us that there were cooler pianos to try on the wall (i.e. less expensive pianos). My wife and I both look like teenagers (even though were both in our mid 20s), but that still doesnt excuse how the associate treated us. Theyve done this to us before in the past, but weve finally decided driving a little farther for a more friendly guitar center is a better option.
I went in to trade in some gear for something new and I have to say the experience was all but enjoyable. First off I had a car load of stuff to trade and common thing would be to help me bring everything in...nope I carried the majority back and forth. Then I had to skip to different departments for different items...come on you look it up and give a price. Then one amp was missing one but do they could not buy it...you telling me you were planning on giving me less than half of the new cost and complained about a screw? Anyway finally got it done...so what were you looking for? Oh if we have some it will be over there. Great salesmanship. Definitely felt like they were more bothered by me being there.
Its a typical GC, sometimes they have some good deals, sometimes its a scam. They were still super out of a lt of stuff due to the holidays it looked very bare in the store on Jan 7th. staff is hit or miss also, sometimes you get a really helpful person sometimes you get a total jerk, just depends, and attrition seems high so it is luck of the draw
Last weekend I went into Guitar Center to talk drums. I was talking to Sweetwater online, but told my wife Id like to support a store actually in Austin and build some relationships. Now, to set the tone,I knew what Id like and what I was quoted by sweetwater and wanted to make it happen with GC. First off, it was my 3rd trip in this store and all 3 times, I walked through the door all the way to the back and not a single person said hello. Two of the trips, was never spoken to, and after 15 minutes walked out. Decided to try one more time. After 5 minutes this man walks back and says, Is there something you are looking for?. I, hopefully trying to show an example, asked for his name, gave him mine, and asked how long he played, what he enjoys about that set, ect. I was literally getting single sentence answers. Anyways, I told him that I was in between a few sets, showed him the price I was quoted, and he doesnt say anything other than, There is no way they can do this price, and if they say they can get it to you this quick, they are lying. Now I was getting a set, hardware, cymbals, sticks, cases, EVERYTHING. He asked for my number and said Ill call the distributor and get back to you....Literally thats it. Now, I understand that its a grind and they work off comission, but since that is the case, step it up. I never received a call from GC, and I will never be stepping foot in there again. To keep it short, contact Sweetwater! I ended up spending $8300 with them and my experience was FLAWLESS. I got 41% off my total cart, no tax, free 2 day shipping, and they have followed up twice in the last 4 days asking how I am, how the drums are, and if there is anything they can do. They also sent me free gear to try out and see if I liked, and if I didnt, just simply send it back. They understand customer service, and are remote based. How sad a company 6 states away, can be more personable, and serve, earn business, and keep business better than a store right here 2 miles from my house. Dont waste your time, go to sweetwater. You dont have to deal with the BS fest of price matching either. You just simply tell them you need a discount under advertised. Who would of thought a company would actually give you the discount, even if they didnt have to? By the way, the pricing for my kit, as advertised on sweetwater was already $400 UNDER GC, and I got another $600 off the kit price at checkout. Facts are facts.
Like the staffs, but most of the guitar there are broken or need maintenance. I looked mainly electric guitars, and most of them are broken or missing parts, for example, missing lever, missing tuning knob, or the paint coat of solid body getting scratched off (Im talking about the brand new guitars they are treating).
Ok instrument store, if you like piss poor service from holier than thou sales associates (which if they were all as good at creating and playing music would be anywhere but spending their Saturday nights in Guitar Center)... Selection of instruments are identical to a quarter to a third of what you would find in their catalog called Musicians Friend. Order your instrument. You might not have played it but at least 9 everyone else has either!
Just went in to purchase a Boss Blues Waza pedal. They had the pedal sitting in the glass case behind a tag saying Receive a $10 free gift card with the purchase of any new Boss guitar effects pedal that can be used on your next purchase. Salesman said that promotion is not available for the Waza pedals. Really!? Then why have the promotion tag sitting in front of the Waza pedal. Tag did NOT show excluding Waza effect pedal. You can not get much worse than this. Deliberately placing a promotional purchase tag in front of something you say is excluded. I would give zero stars, but I cant post unless I select at least one star.

2021-10-1110/10! I brought in my old pre-owned Yamaha keyboard, they tested it out on the spot, and they gave me a very reasonable purchase offer on it! No wait, with friendly and helpful staff! I was able to use the money from selling my old keyboard to upgrade to a new fully weighted keyboard! It happened to be on sale when I went in, so I got it at a great price! Go Guitar Center!

2022-06-11I came in a few months ago and bought a 7 string sterling by music man to begin learning the instrument. The guitar was recommended by staff and I’ve grown to love it. Today my input jack on the instrument fell loose and without any hesitation the instrument tech took it to the back. After about two laps around the store the tech came back with it fixed. If I grabbed the techs name I would have listed it but thank you so much for making this repair for me!

2022-05-04The guy helping me lost his phone and was running around the store trying to locate it. Meanwhile, I am standing there watching him do this, waiting fir him to help me. He stopped to help for a few times, and then returned to running around the store. At one point he had someone come and assist me and even he left after a few minutes to do something else. I was in the store so long my wife called to find out what was taking so long. Ok she does this all the time but, I was in the store way too long.

2022-03-21Rude employees. Why is it so hard to be gentle? Better to buy everything online, at least nobody treats you like garbage.

2022-06-16Megh. Sold me the wrong item in box. Hours changed recently and Guitar Center corporate website didnt post the updated times. Sad to say it, but I wouldve saved time/money/gas/hassle etc by just ordering online through another company and shipping to my house for free. Nice people though.

2022-02-11Bad experience all around. First, I ordered a guitar transferred from another store that they didnt have in stock. Called back in a week and not only had the manager forgotten, he had forgotten our conversation even took place. He, of course, offered me a good deal and promised to order it. It came in (I found out because I called to check... they didnt call me,) and I arranged to go when he would be there. Told the sales person when I got there who I needed and he said he didnt want to bother him at the moment and so I asked him to send him to the guitar playing room and I would try out some other guitars while I waited. An hour later I went out and asked the same sales person when he was coming and he said I dont know. He just left and I dont know when hes coming back. During that whole time I was there, no one helped or offered to help even though they knew what I wanted. My intension had been to walk out with a guitar. I called Alamo Music in San Antonio, got exceptional service, much better environment, and a WAY better price. Brought my Taylor home today. Actually its for my granddaughter but I get to call it mine for a couple of weeks :)

2022-01-23This review is suppose to be the time I went there around last october or november. The first time I went there they were really nice and helpful, I purchased 2 pedals.Second and third time most of the employees had an attitude and I havent been theyre since. Most of the guitars are out of tune and dirty which shouldnt be a big problem for the employees to fix..Some of their guitars are out of reach which is an acceptable excuse but most of them arent.Pros: Big selection of guitars and other instruments. Plenty of amplifiers to choose from.Cons: Employees seem to only care if you are spending a lot of money and give you an attitude if you just come to test stuff or jam. There was one or two good employees though.

2022-08-16Not a bad music store. This location seems to be perpetually under stocked though. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable.
