Nice and quiet hard-top trail for walking or running — and bird-watching...Parking can be a little tight depending on time of day and season. During summer hours after 5 p.m. on weekdays parking lot spaces are sparse, but there are plenty along the driveway and Phelan Blvd. You can park on the median between the sidewalks and the fence — Dont park on Phelan itself. Main loop on Phelan side is about 2.2 miles, another mile long-ish section goes over to the Dishman Rd entrance.Generally not too busy, although some cyclists and joggers dont follow the right-of-way for the way to traverse the paths — walkers and joggers contraflow against cyclists. Ive seen a couple of incidents where cyclists have side-swiped runners/walkers from behind because the cyclists were going the wrong way — multiple signs clearly mark directions. Also watch out for dog poo. Seemingly ppl cant get their dogs to poo off the path sometimes? There are poo bags available at the entrances for visitors.Wide open space, great to get some sun. A water fountain and portable toilet are at the entrances...I love this trail...well-maintained and clean.
I loved to going to this hike and bike trail until my vehicle was broken into purse stolen they should think about adding security cameras because the police officer that filed my report said it was not the first a break-in had occurred and there is not a regular police patrol in the area.
LOVE THIS PARK , I RUN EVERYDAY BEWARE , CAR BREAKINGS LATELY, CARS GETTING VANDELIZED WINDOWS BROKEN, ABOUT 5 CARS THIS WEEK.PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING VALUABLE IN YOUR CAR.IT HAPPENDED TO ME TODAY.DIDNT TAKE ANYTHING OF VALUE BUT BROKE ONE WINDOW.PLEASE PLEASE BE CAREFUL NO CAMARAS AT PARK.

2021-10-26Nice area to run, walk, or bike. Parking isnt the best depending on how busy the trail is or when soccer games are going on. Area has enough space that I dont know why they cant expand the track or add more parking or rest rooms. If you go early watch out for worms or flying spiders.

2021-07-31Car break ins are common. No shaded area. I hope city counsel invest in making an area like Herman memorial park in Houston!! They have a nice shaded track with different paths!! We drive there just to ride our bikes!! It’s really nice. Please use our tax dollars on something we all could benefit from!! Austin and San Antonio also have nice hike and bike trails. This is Beaumont and I know we can do better!! Pics are in Houston by Rice University.

2019-03-11I love this place. Other hike and bikes that Ive been to are just concrete and grass. Here theres trees and even water. I came from a place with hike and bike trailers like this and for years I didnt think you could find a place like this in Beaumont. It also has couple parking spaces that allow for different trail lengths. My puppy even loves this place too

2019-08-293.5 mile loop. Once you get on the loop its kind of hard to get off as its one way with no short cuts. Spacious, clean, and enjoyable. Highly recommend.
