I am on my way from Oklahoma to Raymondville Texas and needed to rest and charge my phone and they didnt bother me while I charged my phone I felt very welcomed and thought it was a great HEB. My thanks for a tired traveler.

Refugio HEB used to be a good place to shop, the staff are still friendly but the store is under stocked all the time. The prices are going up weekly by at least .30. The whole store is going through some sort of transformation but it just never seems to get finished. I understand the restrooms are a mess from time to time, you will find restrooms all along Highway 77 that way due to traffic from the border. As much as I dislike Walmart, I’m going to start doing my grocery shopping there.
While I was in Texas, I preferred going to H-E-B rather than Walmart or other stores. I could find most things I needed fairly easily and the staff was helpful. A wide selection of products.
They have just about everything you would need.Bakery, produce, bbqs, smokers, lawn chairs, pharmacy, meat deli, wine and beer section.
Has what you need. The produce is fresh.
I love going their. Their always friendly,talkative, very courteous but last night i had the worst experience. They had a cashier Monika M. She was the rudest. Didnt greet literally tossed my groceries in a bag and tossed them to the side i had to reach over the cover to get them. Didnt count out my change didnt say a word. Had such a rude attitude. People like will make that HEB look bad.
This door is smaller than most HEB is I have stopped at but, aside from that it was clean, well-stocked, easy to find items that I needed and the cashier was professional and friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
Not sure if all that is going on in the world has people acting crazy because the manager was following me around while we shopped I promise I will not steal anything I thank God that we have money to purchase everything we need my 5 year old just wouldnt make up his mind what he wanted so I guess he kept following us and only us making sure I didnt put anything in my purse. I didnt get a basket to not get any germs from that and we stopped to put gas and go specifically for a toy that my 5 year old has been looking forward to see a HEB Never before felt like this going to this HEB location
This is a small HEB But it carries most of my needs. Its very convenient to have an HEB grocery STORE in our small little town.
Too small of a HEB. Cant find anything like you would in a bigger store. Its ok for light shopping; if you find anything you want of course.
Smaller than most HEBs and thats great! You can get what you need without having to walk a quarter mile to get a few things!
The strangest HEB in the chain of HEB stores across Texas. Nestled in the heart of Refugio, Texas the only thing that saves me from giving them 2 Stars happens to be the friendliness of their staff.Otherwise, the restrooms in this HEB are absolutely horrid - I have seen trucker restrooms a hundred miles outside of El Paso look and smell better than these. It is as if they just dont care about the bathrooms at this HEB.Selection is quite limited in the store - though they hit the high notes, they lack depth and breadth of selection. To wit, the HEB sparkling water (which usually has its own aisle in your average HEB store) was hard to find - placed on the bottom of a shelf along a neglected wall of the south side of the store as if to say Sparkling water? This is a small town, we dont need no fancy sparkling water!!!On the flip side, I did find a couple of Central Market (for the uninitiated, Central Market is the upscale HEB grocery store we are blessed with in the big cities that has a more refined selection of foods, wines, beers, cheeses, and fresh deli meats as well as a proper butcher and seafood shop) brands of products, which I admit I was wholly shocked to find in Refugio, Texas.Lots of empty, unused square feet of selling space upon immediate entry on the right along the north wall, which is odd because this appears to be the rotating / seasonal area and instead they stuff it with t-shirts and other odd sundries that seem to have no natural place here. Likewise, when you first enter, whomever manages this HEB has no knowledge of proper merchandising because there is nothing warm or inviting when you walk in. On this occasion, it was clunky ugly glassware that I found on the shelves that looked like something a soccer mom from the Midwest would find cute and very Western looking and not at all appealing.Overall, the staff is extremely friendly, minus the kid outside who was supposed to be disinfecting carts due to COVID but was apparently on TikTok or Facebook goofing off. That being said, great staff saved this HEB from getting two stars.The bathrooms at the HEB in Refugio, Texas, however.... gets a negative 10 stars. If I could just rank the bathrooms.... Negative Ten Stars
I gave 3 stars because in the past a employee didnt use the coupons I gave & after saying something I guess the employee didnt hear or ignored what I said so from now on I dont go to that employee.

The stories under new interior design I believe because they are moving a lot of things and adding a lot of updated freezers and I think its doing great it seems to be doing fabulous especially with the new additions to the store to Fresh staff and the friendly faces
People at a time like this there are other Hebs to shop at. If you are able to I highly recommend you take a drive to get what you need. Yes I read the guidelines and yes I followed them but they were still ugly.....(3 items was all I was buying)

We were heading home to the Valley from vacation when we had to seek refuge from a severe thunderstorm passing by. The manager and staff offered us free water and ice cream sandwiches to our children who were scared. The manager wished us will getting home safely. HEB a small town store with a great big heart. Thank you for your hospitality!
Closes at 10pm easy in and out, they do need to restock some of there produce, but understand it was at 8:45pm other than .. very clean
One of the smallest HEB Ive been in. But, I found everything I was looking for and the staff was very friendly. Looking forward to my next visit.
Nice little H.E.B. store. The associates were very nice and seemed willing to bend over backwards to help you. The store had the sandwich essentials we were looking for. I would go back.
The cashier at the service desk got an attics with me when I asked if the restroom upfront was the only one they had. The reason I asked is bc there was a line snd I had a 3 and 7 yr old that had to go. Plus while waiting there were cockroaches. The store is very small. And the staff arent the friendliest.

The lady that works in the gas station is very rude. She didnt let me throw the trash in the trashcan. There were other trash inside but she dint let me throw mine. It was just one cup and two small plate and there was space. NEVER STOPPING THERE AGAIN. She just put you in a bad mood.

Well the produce had corn on the cob they was 3 days past the expiration dateThe same went for a snack I was wanting to buy. I mean this is a major chain, and I have never seen this at any other heb store.The people were not helpful,Their supplies were very limited, compared to the HEB I normally shop at. 2021-08-08I would like to start out by saying that I love this HEB it has everything you need living in a small town , it’s super convenient and all of the employees there are usually so friendly. However I unfortunately have had a negative experience here. I am always impressed with the helpfulness and hospitality from the workers however just the other day about a week ago I experienced terrible customer service and poor manners from a new worker I wasn’t familiar with. This worker was a bagger with the name Alex. I was in line and was able to hear him speaking poorly about the customer in front of me being checked out and was appalled that after that customer left he began whispering comments about me as if trying to upset me or get a reaction the way he had with the customer in line before me. I have always enjoyed this H-E-B and been pleased with the overall feel of the store and helpfulness of the of the employees. I left feeling incredibly disappointed that someone working at this store could behave in such a negative way that would give this H-E-B a bad look which is far from the actual quality of this store. I hope this review benefits this store and takes proper action so this store confirms to be the best that it can be!

2021-02-27Visited this store right after winter storm and during the mist of chaos I forgot to write a review.First of all, thank you to all the employees who were working on the day of my visit. While customers were running around frantically looking for items, H.E.B. Staff were ready and willing to jump in and help in every way. Keeping it together and making it as smooth as possible made it less stressful for my family and customers in lines. Thank you again.
