Half Price Books in other cities:
This HPB is decent. Good selection of books and classic records. Staff has mostly been in the background of the entire experience with an occasional smiling employee greeting you or inquiring about your visit. My biggest complaint is the handling of their comics here. Probably not a big deal for most customers here.About 20% of comics are bag&boarded, leaving the rest to be frayed and bent as people thumb through them. And half of those unprotected comics have price stickers placed directly in the cover. It kinda sucks for someone who wants to collect and purchase them. Again, I realize this is a niche complaint. Mostly a decent store.
I came in 5 minutes before close and was greeted kindly and told they were closing in 5 minutes!Thank you for letting me in!I picked 3 books from the clearance section, 5 minutes and 7 dollars later I was much happier than when I came in!!THEY CLOSE @ 7PM COVID PROTOCOLS!
Theres almost nothing in this store on womanism. I was searching for 3 books, Too Heavy A Yolk, The Coldest Winter Ever and Hood Feminism. They didnt have any of them. Not even in the system...not sure if its because of something with Covid19 & their policies around it somehow, shipments issues, or if they just dont bother with these kinds of black womanist authors...idk. They had only 1 Tony Morrison book in the store & I definitely didnt see any bell hooks. The store was clean. The shelves were not dusty, employees were helpful. The parking was a bit of a fuss. The shopping center is really busy. Its hard to pull in or out of a spot because of the continuous line of cars driving through, a lot of them seemed to be in a rush.Didnt find what I came for but made the best of things and grabbed a few books after looking around a bit. Books were fairly priced
Went to replenish my book supply. The only thing I could say about this store, it would be nice if they had signs stating hardback or soft back books. I almost go too many hardback books before I realized there were other rows with the soft back books. Therefore, I had to put back several hardback books, which saved me some money. Other than that, a wide supply of books I read.
Store manager at the morning shift thinks that he can cheat with me. I reserved a book on 5/18/2018 with very good condition at $24.99. On 5/19/2018 I came to store to buy the book but the book was totally different with acceptable condition at 19.99. I am not stupid to not understand that it is not the same book. I am leaving this feedback here because I know that halprice doesn’t have a good customer service. Be careful shopping from this store.
I always love shopping at Half Price Books. I have been shopping at the Half Price Books location on Cooper St. in Arlington since 1986. This store has probably quadrupled in size since that time. I almost always find what I went to the store looking for and I usually end up with other gems before I check out.
Ive always been a huge supporter of H.P.B but just cant get behind the prices of records and media. For the condition of most the cd s i looked at they were scratched up and wanted lowest 5.99+The vinyl unfortunately is the same. But actually asking 15$ + for records that should be no more than 8$ in good condition.Always will support H.P.B but finding gems are rare now.
Love this place! Amazing environment and a great selection. The staff is super friendly and helpful and offers great recommendations if you ask. Its a fun place to browse but they also have an online inventory search if youre looking for something specific. Always a great experience here!
The half price books at this location is huge with a wide variety of sorted goods. I believe it has better service and space than other locations but their selection wasnt as diverse as others which is out of their control. The employees were kind and helpful in getting us taken care of,will return again.
Half Price Books is more fun than your grandmothers attic! There are all kinds of books, and book-related merchandise, educational toys, games, music in different formats, and lots of friendly employees. I love that I can find really old books, collector edition books, and pretty-close-to-new-releases, all in one spot! I can stop in, for a quick gift, load up a shopping cart, or peruse volumes for hours, and not even make a purchase. The employees are cool with all those scenarios! Not only that, but if Im looking for a particular title, one of the clerks can tell me whether it is in this store, or at another Half Price Books. If they find it, I have the option of having the book sent to the Arlington store, or my going to whichever store has the book. It works just like Barnes and Noble, but the titles could be ancient, the prices are usually a whole lot lower, and you can sell the book back to them, when youve finished reading it!
I love books and HPB is always a great place to find just about anything you want to read. If you can’t find the exact title, you can always find something similar (and maybe even better). It is like a new store every day with the incoming merchandise purchased from the community.
Nice place, thousands of books and audio items here! Decent prices. I think every book I look at was between 7-13 bucks and most of them brand new or gently loved. A bit unorganized though, I found about half of my books in other places than where they were categorized
Absolutely love this bookstore. Have been coming here since a child, and now as an adult it has not lost its luster and excitement. The store is very well organized, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the smell of books and cleanliness is everywhere.Prices are unbeatable especially if you bring in books to sell to them! I got a discount on my last purchase for bringing in 2 books!
The employees are helpful, and the store feels larger than some of the other ones. The parking lot is however very icky... especially right now with gloves and masks on the ground. Also the selection isnt the greatest. Often times when I want a book it isnt in stock here. I mean, it is HPB so I get that I cant expect a book to always be available, it just seems like despite their size they dont have what I want.
Books at super great prices in all genres. I went looking for a specific book on natural health and ended with 4 more books all on totally different subjects. The staff seemed to be a bit impatient and in a rush. I then quickly realized I was on my own. I enjoyed the hunt for good books
I shop at Half Price Books all over the DFW Metroplex. But this was a new location for me, and I have to say that I was very pleasantly impressed. The store is organized better than most HPB that Ive been to. The attentiveness of the staff to help me find what I was looking for is stellar. The selections of materials is really excellent, and quite easy to sort through. But most of all, the customer service is the best of any HPB that Ive ever been to. Date: 21.06.02. Please give cashier VPA108 my high-five, he was the perfect example of customer service. My only recommendation for HPB in general, is in the Photography area. Please consider making a delineation of some sort between books of Photography pictures, and actual How-to type of photography books 📓.
What is not to love about Half Price Books? Each location is unique with what they offer. This location seems to be popular. We were there on a Sunday afternoon, and it was busy. That says a lot. We were visiting in the area, and I was looking for a specific brand of calendar for 2020. Glad to have found what I needed plus a couple of other items.
Great store. They have so many books and their prices are magnificent. The staff is wonderful, kind, and personable. They have an excellent assortment of interactive books for children (like origami, fashion, etc....). I also love their journal selection; they have designs you cant find anywhere else.
Im in love! I have recently been on a streak of reading more physical books. There way they feel and smell has been great. Now that I have found a place where I can find all the books and vintage vinyl records to my hearts content is like being in heaven. I prefer hardcover books to paperbacks but they have most books in each version. They do offer to help you find books to complete your collection, they sell rare editions, hard to find and all books from the biggest authors. Was a great experience to say the least.
I could spend hours in this place & never get bored. I love everything about it. However, they have gotten too pricey for their dvds. If you dont mind waiting or if you have Amazon Prime, you can usually find movies much cheaper than what Half Price has them. They used to be very competitive, but not anymore. They still have a great selection of books at good prices. Their clearance prices are unbeatable. All in all, theyre still on my favorites list.
There seems to be less books and items on the shelf every time I come in to this location. The staff is very friendly when checking out and will talk to you about some things you purchase. It is a little harder finding someone to help you out at this location though. I will continue to shop here.
My favorite chain bookstore ever. Books, but half the price or less. Clearance books $1 to $3, even antique books. book lovers, you should already know about this place if you live near one. if you dont, go check it out because you will like it a lot, a lot a lot. They also buy back books at around 10 to 20% of whatever the value is online. They dont give you a lot because they only charge up to 50% when they sell it, but they give you an offer you bring a lot of books you dont want to buy several books that you do want. Id say if you sell three to five books you could probably buy one or two books. Its a great place to buy both you want to read that you dont want to take out from the library or the library doesnt have because its new or recent released. Then, if it is a recently released book, and you read quickly, you can sell it back for about half what you bought it for probably. Definitely the book lover on a budgets favorite store
This store is great! They have an amazing selection at amazing prices! Check for the sales they have on a regular basis for even better prices! The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. However, I cant give 5 stars on this location considering they have a video game section and even though I have brought it to the staffs attention there are vintage mispriced/mislabeled items on the shelf. Overall, this store is great, especially when it comes to books.
I visited this half price books in search of some D&D books. One in particular. The front desk was very helpful and walked me directly to the section I needed to be in. The man was quite personable and knowledgeable. I was impressed. While they didnt have the specific thing I was looking for, they did have a few different items to choose from. When I did not see what I wanted in store, the man helping me even told me exactly where I could go in the area to look for my book at a reasonable price. He was right, of course. They also have a great many treasures hidden within their walls. I could spend hours browsing the shelves. All at half price, nonetheless. Need I say more?
Well its Half Price for one. Also the atmosphere at this one is nice. But lately I cant find the books that Im looking for (that dang internet!) I love going to stores and browse and touch things. In many cases thats no longer an option. Not just for this store many others are the same only carry small amounts of products in store, then have everything else on line. Bummer
I go often and this time I was in search of something specific. As usual, Half Price didnt disappoint. We were looking for SAT study guides and I was pretty pleased with how current their selection was. We found great books with practice tests and a good variety of flash cards. Well done, Half Price.
This place is a really fun place to go, even if you arent looking for anything in particular. The young adult section is a little lacking, but they have a really great adult fiction section, and they also have an impressive antique books section. The staff is very willing to help. The parking lot isnt very well lit though and feels a little unsafe at nighttime
If youre a book worm like me, then youll absolutely love this place! Its my own personal book heaven!!Staff is always so sweet and helpful, if there isnt a book available, theyll make calls around to help you find the book you need.I will forever love Half Price Books!
A nice place to check out old books or trying to find newer releases on a discount. They have a great selection of books, old games, music, and a kind of okay selection of DVDs. Though new stock always comes in so its worth visiting every now and again. Staff are always friendly and any of their book or movie recommendations have been great. Its also a pet friendly place so sometimes you see cute animals, which in my opinion is always a big plus! Its also worth it to check out their website, often they have better deals on used books than Amazon and a bigger selection of more niche or unusual books.
First time to this Half Price Books in Arlington off Pioneer Parkway. A very nice store with plenty of parking. The staff working here were extremely helpful when I asked where auto repair books were, they didnt just point and let me wander to locate them but actually stopped what they were doing and walked me over and made sure it was what i was looking for. Same was true when i asked where the restrooms were. They have a great inventory of books, movies and games, they even sold calculators like the Texas Instruments TI-83s and 84s. Come time to pay and leave they had all registers staffed and some were credit/debit card only which really sped the process up. Love this location!
This location has some of the friendliest employees I have every seen in a retail store. Helpful if you need to find something specific, good at recommending authors based on other authors you enjoy. Selection is great in books, movies and music. Sales can be ridiculously low priced on some of the best authors out there, and if the inventory gets too large, they either drop prices further or sell books by the bagful for cheap prices.
The Half Price book stores are THE VERY BEST book stores, records stores and video stores found anywhere. There selections of any and all interests are there, along with value. Further more, I assure you I was not paid or influenced in writing this. I am a book and music lover and writer. I have never been disappointed in any of their stores.
I like this location they are very helpful and very courteous no matter what time I go in to buy or sell books. the only thing I dont like is that their stock is not as good for my particular genre but you have to consider they are smaller store. Did you have a good selection of
Wow, were new to Dallas and weve never experienced a Half Priced Books before! I was expecting too many cookbooks, autobiographies of the obscure, and religious texts, and not.....everything. Video and Board Games, Puzzles, Collectibles, clothing, signed editions, etc. Fun place. Cute gift cards. Giftables. Amazing variety, which I adore. Thank you for existing, my children and I will continue to buy there.
I called about a book I was attempting to track down, the employee was very friendly and seemed eager to help me locate what I needed. When I arrived I shopped around and found a few extra items I didnt expect but were unique and great for Christmas gifts. This is a great store, I feel good about supporting this business, and will return often.
They should keep track of what books we sell to them at next to nothing (literally barely above nothing) so we have a chance if it is still there to at least buy back at a discount greater than the half price. Seriously.. Its crazy that I sell a book and I get a quarter then you sell it back to me for 9.99? Wow.. Theres better ways to get money than to give books and other things to these guys for almost nothing. You will regret it unless you never want to see the book again.
I called over the phone to locate a book. Luckily there was one copy in the store. The clerk held the book for me. I picked it up later that day. I was greeted as soon as I entered. I browsed the Childrens books and found some great deals on gently used books. The store was clean and well organized. I will be back often. :-)
Like to read? Like to save money? Me too! Well my friend, say goodbye to Barnes and Nobles because this will be your best friend. Albeit, you could find cheaper prices for books online, they sometimes have competitive prices. Also make sure they have the book you are looking for ahead of time, after all, this is a second hand bookshop. Also no Starbucks so make do with the water fountain.
This is my favorite bookstore in the whole world!! I grew up just down the street and am always going back. They have the best service and the best set-up and typically have the book Im looking for or one I didnt know I was looking for. My only criticism is that they dont pay you enough when you sell your books to them.
Went to this location while I was running another errand in the area. Just like every other location... They have what they have on the shelves and keep the store clean. They didnt have the specific book I was looking for, but the staff was always willing to look up the book at other locations and ask for it to be held for me. Low reviews for poor selection seem to forget this is a used book store, and they wont have ALL books ever made. Also, low reviews based on what they offer for books are out of context. A computer system determines what they can pay based on how many copies they already have and the popularity of the item. Dont expect top dollar for every book you bring in to sell. Grandmas romance novels arent flying off the shelves these days. The employees arent making up an offer amount. If you walk in with realistic expectations, you wont be disappointed by any Half-Price location. This one is no different.
Always clean. Staff always friendly & helpful. Only down side... Movies no longer placed in specific Genre... only in alphabetical order. 👎 Very much a time-waster. I dont buy anywheres near what I used to movie-wise because of that. When someones looking for something specific... They dont want to have to look through everything to find what theyre looking for. Bring back movies in the genres they belong in... Not this alphabetical order swill. 🌋😡🌋
In a world where there are large chain bookstores, and endless websites where in one can purchase books, I still find myself always going to Half Price Books. I love the selection paired with the great prices that are always below market value. I would say virtually every book I own is from Half Price Books.
Called and had my book waiting. Very nice service over there phone. However when there, I was looking for additional books, the employee said the books were not there and offered to have them shipped from another store. After further investigation, was able to locate 3 of 5 books at that location myself and the only reason I didnt give them 5 stars.
I love going here and thumbing through the many books. I usually have time to go here on the weekends, and it is usually a bit crowded. Which is good to see, because I dont know many people who actually read anymore! The layout here makes sense in some places, but others it is a bit cluttered. This place definitely has a lot going on, but it is worth the fuss. You can find many novels here at a good price. This Christmas, everyone is getting books!
We sell and buy here. If you plan on selling or trading in anything, plan on very low prices. As for buying, they used to have really great prices on used books, DVDs, CDs, etc. Price check! If you can wait a couple of days, check the price against Amazon. I was surprised to see a used DVD for $14.99. I can buy it new on Amazon for $19.99 with free shipping. It has a better kids selection than the closest library to us, but its not quiet. I was still surprised by the prices of those books, too. Some ratty books were still $1.99 each. Overall, its ok and I am glad for the option to sell items to them even if it is really low offers...but I would still rather buy from Amazon.
I just called this location to see if they had a certain book. The young lady that answered said Oh yea we have a whole shelf with Dr. Seuss books. I asked if they had the specific one and she said Theres so many we just dont know. Thats why you are able to look it up in your computer, where a list of the inventory is kept, to save me some time, hence why I called. Train your staff better please. I always use this location and have had no other problems before.
My last visit was less friendly than my previous visit. I experienced a customer service issue which is plaguing so many companies. I walked up to the counter to pay for my books. The cashier, Diego, did not greet me, he said the total, and nothing else. He did not thank me for the purchase, nor did he encourage me to return to this location as someone who works in customer service should. Very impolite & impersonal.
This is the second Half Price Books that Ive been to today, and I have to admit that this one was not as good as the one in Mansfield. I came here looking for tarot cards, and they only had one deck of Tarot. The other two or three decks were oracle cards. It was a lousy selection. I went ahead and bought a set of oracle cards because the price was so good. It was cheaper than the other Half Price Books for that deck. The book selection in the metaphysical section was not very good either. The staff were nice. Im not sure how good the selection is in other sections of the store, so I am only reviewing the metaphysical section, which was not an impressive choice of books or tarot decks. The one Tarot deck they had there is one that I already have. I hope that this Half Price Books will stock a larger collection of tarot cards in the future.
I love half price books because the books are cheap and when you give them books they give you money so you an buy new books if you want. They have books on almost everything. Sometimes they might not have the books your looking for but you can find other books that could be good.
Stink! They told me that all books of my own are no longer sell because of my books are too old. They suggest me that I have to donate all books to goodwill instead sell the books. That is not right thing to say me because I am deaf. I knew that they are advantage of me.
Been shopping at half price books for nearly 2 years, I buy couple hundreds books monthly one employee here (Sabrina) was extremely rude she came up with a very loud voice in front of couple of people and told me to fix the books that I just looked at which I was not even done looking at that section when I fixed it she came next to me again and told me to fix it how I found it and she banged the books while she fixed it herself. Def not coming to this location again.
Great place to spend some time and money. Books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays, records, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, video games, comics, toys etc. Lots of different things to check out. They have a kids sections with small tables and chairs. They have a clearance section. Friendly and helpful staff and a clean store.
Dont bother. The employees lie and your books in good condition are worth a quarter. I came in to sell a book that was less than 5 years old, read once and in really good condition, no damage to the spine of the book. The employee told me that I could get a quarter for it. I told her it was worth more than that, but she said that this type of book and genre sold for a $1. I went and found another book by the same author (same type and genre) and asked how much and another employee told me it was worth $4. The other book I found was older and in worse condition. Sell and buy your books on Amazon or another dealer. They lie at Half Price Books.
Most of the books I purchased from the kids section were new but it was still the same price or less then I could find it on Amazon and would rather keep my money localish. I do wish they had a larger selection of board books, they have an extensive selection for older kids, but not so much for toddlers
The wait to sell books was long the last Saturday I visited, but I found a card game my partner actually enjoys playing, got some classic cassettes for my collection, and skimmed a hot current manga while waiting. Half Price Books is always worth a stop to see whats new (and old).
Excellent phone and in-person service. Went to buy a used book, called before i got there they said it was available, they said they would hold it for me and when i got there they had the book ready and for an excellent price. Very nice store with a great selection of books new & used. Will definitely be back if i have to😊👌
I havent been into one of these places in a few years and was surprised to find it was much more than books. That said it was disappointing to see old damage books Including those that were missing CD and dvd materials at 1/2 the original price. In my opinion missing such material they should be half price if they were brand new..
The store here is very large compared with most half price bookstore locations that I have been to. They have a very large selection of literature for sale. They have a very large philosphy section, and they have a whole rack full of Tabletop rpg modules. The fiction sections take up the most space. It is a very large store where you would really need to go in to see what is there.
Terrible service the guy “Mickey” was extremely rude didn’t give us the time of day. My dad has a 35$ gift card and their was a glitch in the computer and some reason said there was nothing he can do to fix the problem, we asked if he can refund us the money and all he could say was no, that he needed a paper statement even after we called the number on the Gift card and it said there was 35.15 on the card. Then we still went online to show it to him and he didn’t give us the time of Day, was rude and raised his voice, I understand that he may not have been able to refund us our money but he could have handled the situation another more nice way, instead of ignoring my dad and raising his voice. He didn’t even want to give us his full name, I assumed he just didn’t want to get fire. But worst experience I’ve had at a half price book store so
Its a small bookstore, compared to Barnes & Noble, but its still worth a trip. The books, CDs, records, etc are cheaper. They sale new and used books. Their inventory consists has newer titles to old ones! They also have a clearance section, which is always a plus! The only reason I didnt give 5 stars , is because sometimes the books are a little dusty/dirty. But you get what you paid for!
Half price book is a long lasting bookstore with reasonable prices. Specifically in the comic book section, they had books like The Walking Dead Compendium Book 1 is only $20. Another book Watchmen Noir is about $20 too. They also have a record, dvd, and CD section. In the back right corner there is a clearance section. In the back left there is a childrens section. Very worthwhile.
I flat-out refuse to give these shysters my business because they offer only a pittance for the stuff they buy which they turn around and make a minimum 500% profit off of. Recycled Books and Records in Denton gives you a much better price, and they give back what they dont want, whereas Half Priced Books takes everything. I swear, one time I saw them offer a lousy $18 for two sacks of books they didnt even bother to look through. Pathetic.
Half Price Books is just not what it used to be. A great place to pick up good books and music for cheap. Its too money grubbing now. Just looking at the records alone is an awful experience. Clearance records are now $2 when the used to be 25 to a dollar. No records in the regular racks under $5 and all of the popular stuff has insanely jacked up prices. Why should I pay $10 for a scratched up copy of Ina-Gadda-Da-Vida? Youre screwing yourselves out of business and driving loyal customers away with your collector prices. Been going to Half Price Books stores since 1982 and now Im looking at alternatives
Went to purchase an item and was not even noticed as the young woman behind the counter was using the computer to look for dvds for a couple of people. When at the cash register you ALWAYS take care of your paying customers first. I left without puchasing the item and will not be back.
I love this place and would give them 5 stars, but this 5 stars come specifically because of an incident that happened in front. I was walking with my 10 yr old, who was squinting because of the sun. A strung out looking man and his girlfriend cut thru cars to get in front of us. The man turns to the 10 yr old and says ,smile! It wont hurt you to smile. Immediately after saying this he turns forward...and slammed full frontal contact into the giant brick pillar. I watched and heard his face chest legs slam into it. He was stunned. He looked like a rat that was flung to the ground. His girlfriend assured us he was ok, as he sat on the hood of a white 4 door sedan. At this point, I could not help myself and say smiling might not have hurt him, but it sure hurt you. I proceeded to laugh the laugh of a million laughs. My legs were going out, and I was doing an stairwell walk to the ground, just inside the door. People were looking like I had done something to him. No one questioned it. I composed myself, and no one remembered a thing by the time I checked out. I will never thank karma enough for finally letting me cash inside good points, and witness what has to be the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. Men, stop telling people to smile. You must bash your face into a 4 foot wide 10 foot tall brick pillar
One of my favorite hpb locations now. Not as easy to get to as some others but its in a much more interesting area and that is a really good thing. These newer locations in Burleson or Mansfield are in the country suburbs and get sold all the same stuff from customers, where as this location is close to a college (well, uta...close enough) and gets a much more eclectic selection. Great staff as usual, some of whom have been here for a very long time.
Always go in thinking I will get a couple of books or a movie or a CD......but I ALWAYS end up coming out with an armload of books etc. BECAUSE they have a great selection AND its HALF THE PRICE! ! LOL LOL 😊 love you guys. ....been shopping you WHEREVER I have lived for almost 40 years.
I wonder why this store tends to have higher prices than the North Collins location in Arlington TX. I called about the same book and even had the book placed on hold in North Collins in Arlington but was not able to pick it up by their time and it sold. Then I called the South Cooper location and they had it the second week the same exact book and this time it was $5 dollars more. I am a student and every dollar is hard to come by. I dont understand why this is going on since I would think they are in the same district to begin with..... I asked for the manager and all he could say is that is the price and the was the end of discussion. NOT happy with this type of service at this location. I recommend to all that if you need books to call multiple locations first before buying from the first one you call since it could be less in price at another location within the same district....

2022-06-23Amazing place. I could get lost in here for hours and not want to be rescued. Discounted books, vinyls, and movies!! I know where I’ll be getting my next gift cards to giveaway. Discounts are real and there’s even a clearance section. Compared book prices online and they do save you money here. I’ll be back!

2022-07-06I went in looking for a specific list of books. They only had 1 of 9 I needed in the store, one more at a location in the vicinity, and 5 more in the warehouse which would have taken 4-14 days to arrive. The workers were super helpful though, assisting me in finding the section I would need to find the books, as well as looking them up in their systems with no complaints. The restrooms were also fairly clean.

2022-05-26The comic section is a joke. Not even comic book shops have that high of a mark up. Youd get a better deal on ebay with shipping and taxes included

2022-03-01First time in this store. They have great collection of books from all genres. The prices are ideal and they buy books. I tried to sell some books but it didnt work out for me. But the guy who was helping me was honest about the offer and I will go back again because of his positive customer service. If you love to read, but dont love the retail prices of books, then check out Half Price Books!

2022-08-13This is the sorriest store that Ive ever been in Half Price Books themselves in any location doesnt give anything back on the books that they sell I took in 92 DVDs 31 CDs and 26 books they offered me $7 I tell the lady thats not even a penny a piece maam she goes I know but thats what were offering I said well I said even if you offered a penny a piece Id get more than that I said can I at least have a penny a piece on them she said it wasnt up to her it was up to the computer so if I brought in each individual one I would have got more then bringing them in and bulk this store buyback policy is trash

2021-10-09I always have a good experience at Half Price Books.Staff is always friendly and helpful.Today I was able to get my grandson a small plush toy and board book for his birthday. Also found a cute Japanese character tshirt for my daughter.I went for and found some Japanese language books for myself. Im a beginner, so Im always on the lookout for easy books to practice reading.Hint: if youre looking for foreign language books, dont forget to check out the kids section.Occasionally they will have age appropriate books in that particular language, not just in the general foreign language section.I got a manga book from the Japanese language shelf in the foreign books section.I also got the Japanese short shory/picture book in Japanese in the kids section on the shelf categorized as foreign languages. From what I could tell they have kids books in Spanish(biggest selection) , German, French, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and a few other languages. Even a Euro-Asian language that -according to my Google Translate app appears to be Gunjati(?).But of course books are always coming and going so you never know what foreign language book treasures you will find in the kids section so dont forget to check that out in addition to the general foreign language section, if you are looking for books to practice your language learning skills.
