I actually had the shop owner give me a cut. She did an awesome job. I was in and out pretty quickly and very satisfied with the job done. $20 for the cut and family friendly atmosphere.
I have gotten my haircut there before and everyone was friendly enough. The last time I went I took my 2 young sons and noticed that the owner was skipping us (she skipped me before but I never put too much thought into it). The next time her chair was open I stood up to go sit in it. She stopped me and literally said I dont cut you and your sons kind of hair. I was caught off guard and asked her what kind of hair is that? She just pointed at all 3 of us and said yalls hair style. I ask for a little boys hair cut with a number 2 on the sides for my sons and I ask for a basic fade with a 2 for myself. She took another little boy close to my sons age instead of my son. They finished at the same time and she literally cut the other kids hair with the same style as my sons who was sitting in the chair right next to her. I let her know they had the same haircut and she just continued to be rude and ignore me. In this day and age I am rarely surprised at bad service or just down right mean spirited people, but I felt extremely insulted because my children were involved. All of the other staff are great, Im not sure what her problem was but needless to say we will not be back.
They don’t know how to bald fade. Awful quality. Only went here because matador down the street was booked but now I know I should’ve waited another week to get my cut there..
Moved to San Antonio for college, was looking for a good barber and a friend recommended James. I have been going to him for the 2 years now I have been in San Antonio, and he is extremely consistent in his haircuts, extremely friendly to talk to, remembers me everytime I come in, and is all around one of the best barbers I have encountered. Would recommend anyone to come to him.
First time I went In hated it because you sign in then wait for a call in your car. Actually its a good system during these Covid times.
Excellent place for a detailed cut, reasonably priced. They adhered to safety standards during coronavirus times. Sheila took her time and did a great job with my fade.
$19 for a fade which is pretty reasonable. One of the girls jacked my line up one time, but the guy with the drivers cap (first chair) is pretty solid. I think his name is Jamie. Came here a few times but moving, so Id get my haircut here if Im ever back in town by that guy

Watching the new barber taking a phone call from his realtor. Holding the phone with one hand and continued to cut hair with scissors in the other hand. Maybe its just me but if someone is using objects that cut around my head I want their full undivided attention!I would rather he paused and excused himself to take care of the phone call then go back to the haircut. Maybe I am paranoid...but I do have a piece missing from my ear for this very reason. A barber not paying attention.I have been going here for several years but after today I think its time to find a new barber shop.

I walked in here by accident and ended up getting a haircut. The haircut was pretty decent but the service and conversation were amazing! The entire staff was extremely friendly. I would definitely go here again.

Good place to get a haircut. I usually get a fade and am very picky about it actually being a fade. With that being said, the price is right for the haircut I get. Barbers are friendly as well.
Came in with my son today to get a haircut for the first time and it will definitely be the last time. Both of our barbers were in a rush and very careless.

Fantastic hair cut and shaved the back of my neck and a hot towel for 16 bucks for a 30 dollar haircut. Worth a 5 dollar tip or more.

2022-04-02After searching for months for a good barber, and having numerous horrible experiences, Im so pleased to have found this shop. My haircut was done expertly. Extreme care was taken to correct the faults of the last butchering. Eyebrows trimmed, ear hair trimmed, and neck shaved with a straight razor! Delightful experience, and the cost, $22! Ask for Yolanda, shes the shop owner!

2022-05-05The staff is very nice. They listen to what you need. Prices are reasonable. I do believe they are a little bit short-staffed at this time so expect a little wait time. But their turnaround is pretty darn good for haircuts.

2021-02-08I’m sorry, but this is the absolute worst haircut I’ve ever had. Patches of hair were missed all around my head, my bangs were cut into a triangle shape, and it’s like the barber didn’t pay any attention at all to how my hair looked when I came in. She even buzzed a hard part in, one quarter inch away from the last one. Absolutely butchered it so badly that I will be wearing hats for the next month. I tried not to get this irritated, but after a few days of people asking if I got a Mohawk, I’m finally fed up enough to leave some feedback here.

2022-02-19This is the third awful experience I’ve had…Just had foot surgery but was still the first in line at the door on a cold morning…NEEDED to be in and out to get back home…Was literally the first person standing outside the front door with several other gentlemen waiting in their cars…Lady comes out and says “Who was in the parking lot first?”Wasn’t me….so everyone else went ahead of me even though they were never at the door. This place is allegedly first come first serve without appointments…but apparently being in the parking lot matters?Last time I was there some lady constantly made it clear ALL the hair cutting styles she WOULDN’T do….Whatever…It’s every time with this business and NEVER like this at Matador down the road.Take appointments or don’t…who cares…but”who was in the parking lot first” is an awful way to conduct such a small shop business.

2019-11-09Tyrone just gave me the best haircut this side of town. I usually have to go somewhere around my job and have not had luck around where I live. Definitely coming back.Great service and a great cut at a great value price.

2021-12-30The first time, nice guy, first chair, it cost me under 20 dollars for a simple cut. Size 6 in back trim on top. Good talk. 20 minutes. Second time, two month later, different guy, I got same size 6 in back, dont touch top, clean around ears, 25 dollars. No talking. Close to an hour.... I usually give double the tip. I guess they charge their own prices. You can try one of the girls, but I wont be back.

2021-02-08Great place to get your hair cut. The standard cut includes a straight razor edge up and hot towel facial. They are enforcing all of the covid restrictions mask, no waiting inside, etc. They are efficient with your time also.

2020-08-12Went there for the 1st time as we just moved in the neighborhood and were happily surprised. Took my little one for a haircut and they couldnt have done better. Fast, professional and superb haircuts. Myra took care of my boy and Maria of me. I can say we have found our n1 spot. 👏🏼👏🏼❤️

2020-07-01Best Barber to get a haircut. Yolanda and the girls are awesome. Love that she edges with without me asking for it. I only had one barbershop in West Texas that does the same. Highly recommend Helotes barber shop.
