Do NOT rent from this from this place. Had a confirmed rental and when I went to get my car they told me they didnt have any cars (there were 4 in front of the place) and werent obligated to accept my reservation. They couldnt care less about honoring commitments, I doubt the cars are being maintained.
Lady was rude to me because I told her the car was dirty and had a terrible aroma and it wasn’t going to work for me. Long story short, she had a attitude and gave me another car which was still dirty but I took it because I was out of town and waited over an hour for them to get me the first vehicle. The guy had decent service though but this location NEEDS to make sure their cars are clean and in safe working conditions. The vehicle I had, definitely needed maintenance!
STAY FAR AWAY. If zero stars were possible, thats what I would rate it.My reservation was on 10/2/21 for pick up at 11:30am. I was flying into DFW and opted to pick up from this location since the Hertz DFW location had jacked up their rental prices.Got a voicemail at 10am while still in the air saying they were sold out of cars. Called as soon as I landed to find out whats going on because my reservation was made on 9/7 and paid for when I booked it. How do they know about a reservation and then sell the car?!?The agent was rude and acted like it was no big deal. Told me I could try the DFW airport location. Not convenient to get to and a total waste of time because they were sold out and wouldnt honor my reservation when they expected a car back later that afternoon. I wasted 2 hours of my time running around trying to get a car that is already paid for.Ended up having to pay $150 for a Lyft each way to take me all the way to where I needed to go since its so far out from Dallas.To top this whole experience off, Ive contacted Hertz customer service 4 times regarding the refund Im due since I never got a car. They said 5-7 business days to process on 10/4 and I am STILL waiting on the refund back to my credit card!!I would NOT recommend renting from Hertz and especially not this location after the terrible customer service I received. The agent at Forest Lane told me she didnt have a direct phone number for the HERTZ location at DFW. Its the same damn company. She wouldnt even bother to call and find out if they had a car.Honestly, the minimum expectation for service in this situation would have been for them to get me a car and have it ready to be picked up from their location since it was not at all my fault that theyre incapable of managing their reservations.
Very very worst place ever to pick up a car. They have charged me for the insurance which I didn’t agree to. The story is: I was in this place around 9:00 AM and I waited for 1:45 min for the person to give me a car. The car I picked is not cleaned well. And I have told the person over there that “ I have my own full insurance and I don’t want to take any other insurance from you for the car. ” instead I had to pay a $230 for the insurance which I didn’t agree when I had to return the car. When I was about the sign the agreement the Person there told that I have being charged more and that’s an economy car, I have asked him to change the car as I have very good insurance which pays them the highest value.so the person did change the agreement to the different car( Jeep ). I was so tried to wait there and I have that person did you take out the insurance coverage which is from Hertz. He said ‘yes ‘, I have believed him and signed the second agreement.Then after two days I figured I have being charged everyday. I have given them a call and they told it’s normal they charge everyday until I return the vehicle. Once return they will do a refund to my account.But on the day of return they have told me that they can’t revert the charge as I have signed the agreement agreeing for the insurance coverage from Hertz.I had to deal with all the managers and customer service people but ended up with paying the amount. I am never again goi g to Hertz again and I won’t recommend my friends too.I had to speak with the customer care people and I had the worst service ever. They don’t even listen to what happened and ended up they can’t refund the amount. I have asked the customer service people to transfer the call to their manager who can deal here but the lady she refused to do and states that even her manager couldn’t do a refund. I had to do talk to some many people to get a refund but no one helped me.
The one-star rating is simply because zero isn’t an option. Wow. Heed the reviews you see here. The staff is unresponsive and unprofessional. They gave me a dirty car that hadn’t been cleaned from the last driver...hair in the ceiling, water in the cup holder from a drink, dirty exterior, etc. When I asked for it to be cleaned they hesitated but then went ahead and obliged. If you can go to another location, please do. This was my first experience with Hertz and it certainly offered a lasting impression. One that says avoid at all costs. I need a rental through April 21st because I was in an accident and this service was so bad that I dropped the car back off the next day. Luckily a competitor had better vehicles and better professional service. I refuse to give them any further business.
The worst expirience of my life, you are better off with Turo, horrible customer service. Staff and company are so absent minded, lack of instructions and takes forever to reach someone to talk to at the location or on the phone. They handled this like a selfish company, I was never told how to return the car, cos they never told me and were closed the time I went which I didnt know either. I lost my keys and it took me 8+ hours to simply notify the company. Car was never detailed, absolutely a trash expirience. My trip is done and Im still getting calls about returning the car. Its absolutely frustrating
Made a reservation here last week for a van that they didnt honor. Whoever is picking up the phones right now at the Forest Lane location was one of the most unhelpful people Ive ever spoken to. After shrugging off the fact that they overbooked, so they didnt have the van we paid $500 in advance for, she told us they didnt have any vans in the DFW area and they had no idea when they would have more. Huh? Hertz doesnt have one van in the DFW area? Yeah right.I knew that was a lie because she just didnt care enough to check. And it was. My husband is on his way to the Arlington location right now to pick up a van. (The customer service in Arlington was much better than this location).Were moving with our 9 week old baby this week - like I wasnt stressed enough. I will never deal again with Hertz after this.
I would give this a negative star if I could.I reserved a car for November 24 2020- 12/1/2020 under my maiden name ... Paid full price and will NEVER USE HERTZ AGAIN.I waited over an hour for my vehicle to be brought around, once I did my walk around the vehicle had more scratches & interior damage than I had ever seen. That was the only vehicle they had for me. A 2018 Toyota Corolla Once we took the car we realized the key fob was dead which is a security issue for a single woman... then once we started to use the trunk the lights popped out.. so we had to adjust dangling cords. Then on our second to last day the best part happened! The car finally died after days of lagging performance.AAA was called, it was jumped & guess what happened when I was on the way to the airport the next day?Dead again.. I chose to call customer service, to notify them that the car was dead and I would jump it myself because I didnt have time to wait for road side assistance. I have a ticket number to represent everything if they properly notated it.In the weeks later, I spoke to at least 5 different customer service reps who all promised a different form of compensation. It has now been weeks since the last representative told me I would hear from the area manager or receive a partial refund.Nothing.How disappointing for the industry leaders to provide this kind of service. I chose Hertz because I trusted the name. Never again.
This location and their workers are absolutely horrible. Ill never rent from Hertz again because of my very negative experience here. They dont clean their cars at all. I received my cargo van in filthy condition. As well, Im having to dispute illegal charges on my receipt such as being taxed twice and billed twice for vehicle license recovery fees. These people are about as lazy and unethical as they come!
Just like all the reviews. Stay Away!!!!!They will not have your car. I arrived at 9:00 am to pick up my vehicle. Hertz had given me a confirmation number and taken my money. I was told that my vehicle was not available.It totally ruined my day and they could care less.I’ll say it one more time.STAY AWAY!!!!! BAD BUSINESS!!!!
Worst rental car experience of my life. I prepaid for an SUV and when I got to the counter, they said they had no car available for me and I would have to call for a refund and rent from somewhere else. After 30 minutes of complaining they downgraded me to a small van someone had just dropped off. They refused to reimburse me for the difference. After talking to several reps there when I returned it, they acknowledge that this is standard operation for them and since I signed the agreement, I was not entitled to get any refund for the downgrade even though I prepaid. Worst customer service and worst car rental experience of my life.
Location was supposedly scheduled to pick me up. I had to call to find out what was going on. My pick up time was noon. It is an hour later and I’m still not even talking with a rep. I called 40 minutes prior to my PICK UP TIME and they still aren’t ready. I have texts and insurance all verifying the time and date. Hertz dropped the ball and takes no initiative to expedite their process.
When I first arrived to pick up my rental car the person at the front counter was listening in on a sales call and was on a call with a customer. They didnt tell me that their office would be closed on the day I was supposedto drop it off or how to turn it in while they were closed. I did try to call customer service 2 days before I was supposed to turn the car in and change the drop off location for one that is a) closer and b) open and they refused because it was prepaid and they told me none of the other locations could close out the rental because of that. When I got there to drop off the car 1) it was closed 2) when I called the number on the doorfor assistance, I got a notification that this person is not taking calls at this time 3) there were no instructions as to how to drop off the car after hours. So I called corporate. The customer service mailbox was full. When I finally managed to get a human being, they couldnt help me and transferred me to the roadside assistance line where I was on hold for 55 minutes before they hung up on me without speaking to me. While I was on hold my partner continued trying to reach the number on the door and customer service. He even called another hertz location that was open and every time he spoke to a person they transferred him to roadside assistance even when he made it clear i was already on hold with them. We ended up bringing it to another hertz location that was open and they were very cooperative unlike every other hertz rep we spoke to that day.
I reserved a car Monday December 7th only to get there Friday December 11th and they not have a car. I was told it would be a 40 minute wait for a car or I could upgrade then charged me $60 for it. Cleary they arent aware of the definition of a reservation. When you try calling the store they never pick up the phone, it was by far the worst experience Ive had. They are currently refusing to refund me the $60 for the upgrade after they said once I returned the car they would. I would not recommend renting from Hertz.
Drove an hour and 15 minutes to pick up my rental car only to be told they did not gave one available. I called Hertz and after an hour and 7 minute phone call I was directed to a different Hertz location, again an hour away. We arrived at the new location, had to wait for the representative to show up, and were told once again there were no cars available at that location. I am DONE with Hertz!!! This is no way to do business and I have wasted an entire afternoon of my vacation on their utter incompetence. Go anywhere else for your car rental and I promise you it will be better than this because I honestly don’t see how it be any worse. Giving it one star only because zero was not an option.
If you plan to pay with debit, expect a credit score check and to sign your rental agreement in blood.My car broke down and I needed a rental for work for just two days. I reserved a sedan online and showed up monday morning as early as possible to pick up. I presented my card and was informed to give the front desk my social and the ability to run a credit score. I asked why and tried to decline but the staff member said it was policy and I couldn’t get a car without it. I had to comply because I needed a car and didn’t have my credit card on me. I was upset and uncomfortable.She then informed me the car I reserved wasnt available. They had moved me up to a more expensive car due to lack in inventory. I asked if I would be getting the same rate and she assured me yes, but they still took over $200 in a deposit for “safety” and said I would be refunded upon return. Kind of expensive!So now I’m upset and they tell me the car isnt ready yet, it needs to be cleaned. I’ve been in the office fifteen min and it takes them another ten to clean it and pull up. I arrived early and now was going to be almost late for work.The staff made sure to bring me out as she snapped before pictures. Since I had declined the extra insurance coverage, she handed me the keys with the reminder: “Drive carefully, you could be responsible for any and all damages.” Thanks, you couldn’t have taken photos BEFORE bringing me out the car?!So on top of feeling like a delinquent, hertz now can also steal my identity. Not going to rent from here ever again.
Made a reservation on October 18, went to get the car on 11/6 and they had no cars available. Told us we could rent a taxi on our own dime to get to another location with cars. Total BS. When we asked when the cars would arrive, they said they didnt know, it could be 10 minutes or a couple hours. Our entire experience with Hertz has been a nightmare. Will never rent from them again and Id suggest steering clear of this location in Dallas.
My boyfriend and I rented a car from the 2909 forest ln location. We got the car was very clean had no problem.. We returned the car and heard nothing else. A couple of weeks later he recieved his credit card statement and there was a charge for fifty dollars. So I called there customer service and was told there was damage to the rear bumper. The woman on the directed to go to a website to looke at the pictures because she did not have access but because their customer service is overseas I had a really hard understanding her. So I decided to call the location where I picked the car from and the manager was not in. The thing that really irrated me is how can the charge me if they did not take pictures at pick up. It is only fifty dollars but we are considering filing a small claims against them... I will never use them again...
Initially, everything went fine, pickup was okay (however in the past have had issues with lack of car availability).The problem was the return. For anyone reading this, if youre asked to fill in a survey (in person, at the Hertz location) and you accept, be aware that they may ask you for your phone to visit the website. ASK THEM TO GIVE YOU THE LINK. I decided to trust them, so I gave them my phone. After checking the browser history, I found out she had filled in an entire 5-star review on my behalf, without my consent!I may have given 5 stars myself, had she allowed me to fill it in, but this was just plain disrespectful.
If I could give 0/5 I wouldI love hertz, they are a great company however the location of forest lane on dallas texas is hands down the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. I have worked in customer service for over 6 years and never even been treated half as bad by angry customers.On the day of my rental I called multiple times because I needed to know if they were going to be able to come get me. I called the corporate customer service number and they even tried calling and they did not pick up for them. I finally went into the location, the manager and she ensured me someone would come and get me. I left on a piece of paper my name, phone number and address of pick up. They said they would be there to get me.No one showed. I tried called them to see if they were running late or if they were not coming at all. When I called corporate back two different customer service representatives tried calling them and said there was nothing they could do for me. I understand if you couldn’t come and pick me up but atleast have the decency to call me or atleast when I call pick up the phone so I understand that no one is coming.When I got to the pick up location, my note with pick up time and address was sitting on the desk in plain view. The manager hid from me in her office the entire time. She refused to speak to me other than saying, “sorry not my problem, your here now aren’t you”. The two customer service agents said it wasn’t there fault because they were not the ones that spoke to me so it wasn’t their problem.When I went to return the vehicle it seemed the location had been shut down. I arrived at 24:30 pm, their hours of operation are open until 5:30 pm as stated on the door. When I got there there was not a single rental car in the parking lot, the key lock box was not outside anymore and the store was closed lights off.When I called corporate to try and explain the situation and let them knowtheir car was sitting outside the location unlocked with they keys int it. They tried calling the store and no one picked up. They told me I needed to turn around and take the car to a different location.This disaster was not worth the money spent on the rental. You couldnt pay me to book with them again.
Excellent service. Everyone there treated me with kindness and respect, handled customers in an orderly fashion. Even when an entitled man walked in complaining that he needed to be helped now they declined his rude behavior and encouraged him to wait for his turn to be serviced.The car they gave me was a brand new Altima that was well cared for and drove like a dream. They even gave me pick up and drop off service from and to the place that my car was being repaired. I recommend them highly! Great job Guys!!
Ok.... Not sure why this place doesnt have a better rating.I was in and out, no delays, no problems.The right car, at the right time.Car was Clean. And we got straight to the point.I used a 3rd party (Priceline, also no hassle there, easy transaction) to book my restoration. And before booking I joined Hertz rewards. Add your Hertz rewards number when booking.Hertz gave me no issues. And I got points for my rental.As usual they try to get you to take all the coverages they sell, but my full coverage car insurance on my vehicle covers my rental so I declined all of it.If you dont know if your insurance covers your rental or you dont have any, Id suggest getting theirs.Also, take pictures/video.... Be thorough, outside and inside the car. I do this Before I take the car and when Im returning. Sure, They take pictures. But you should always have your own. CYA!Covid-19 really hurt this company. But fortunately Hertz is on the slow road to recovery.We need these companies to stay in business. It generates competition in that sector.And competition means better pricing for us.
I worked at this location for a year between May 2013 to May 2014. It was the most shameful time of my life. Hertz was such an immoral place to work. The business practices violated every single one of my principles. To customers, please do not rent from here because they will work very hard to take advantage of you. To prospective employees, it is not worth it. They will force you into a position of meeting your sales quota at the expense of the consumer. It is not okay at all. To the employees, is this career really worth it if the customer is constantly cheated? Your money is not in the customers pocket. That is what I was taught in one of the required trainings.As a former employee, I wish I could right all that I did wrong while at Hertz rent a car. If you were taken advantage of by this company, I am truly sorry.
Eric had great customer service skills , he was very helpful in showing us how to start the vehicle. He took pictures of the vehicle and emailed them to me before I drove off which was great that way there were no issues as to he said, she said. I have several more reservations from this location and I will be leaving reviews on each vehicle. This rental was a 2017 Nissan pathfinder and it was very roomy, clean , drove great , we made sure to turn on the windshield wipers they worked great overall we did not have any issues with the vehicle or the management! Thank you Eric for being so kind.
DO. NOT. BOOK. HERE. YOU. WILL. REGRET. IT.I came to this place after a long red-eye flight expecting to easily pick up the car I BOUGHT and RESERVED. How silly of me to think that something I paid for well in advance would actually be fulfilled.The general manager Ryan Harper does an extremely POOR job of running this business, he booked over 50 reservations knowing that their inventory wouldn’t handle them all. Instead of blocking future reservations to ensure orders could be fulfilled, he then instructed his employees, including Eric Walther, to wait for all the customers to show up and tell them all they had were cargo vans.How SAD to overbook and take people’s hard earned money during a time like this pandemic. They offered me NO helpful alternate solutions Or accommodations, they said I could either take the cargo van or I would just have to cancel my reservation. Minutes after, someone walked in and got a car just like that after Eric JUST said there were no cars available.They do not care about your convenience or wellbeing at all, only your money. I was standing outside on the phone with corporate when Eric Walther threatened to call the police on me, a young black woman literally not even doing anything! Just standing outside talking with people. He obviously doesn’t care about my wellbeing or LIFE at all! I was outside, not doing anything, simply trying to sort out the situation where he failed to offer resolution. Eric Walther and Ryan Harper should be FIRED and I WILL be taking this up to corporate. What a terrible experience, I will never book Hertz again. This location should be SHUT DOWN.
1 - didnt have the car they said they did. ended up in a work van2 - their credit card machine wasnt working. so i read off my credit card number. THEN i noticed the employee had her camera on video recording me reading off my credit card number. had to cancel my card.WORST RENTAL CAR ESTABLISHMENT EVER
Worst place ever. I did a reservation online for less than $200 and when I arrived at the store they said they don’t have a car. The staff asked me to call hertz directly. I called and they said only think they can do is to cancel the reservation. They canceled and right away the store had a car available and want to charge me $530 for only 4 days of rental. Ridiculous, don’t rent a car there.
If I could give less stars I would. I had to travel unexpectedly after the sudden death of my brother. I paid for my reservation in advance and was not notified of a $200 deposit in addition to that payment until I went to pick up the car...money I didnt have after also reserving a hotel. While I was trying to make arrangements to pay the deposit (which can apparently only be done with a card in my name, so no having someone make the deposit for me) and arrange a transfer from my husbands acct., Im told, Were real sorry for your loss, but were closing. Ayfkm?? I called to see about transfer of location, (I secured the deposit literally 5 minutes later) and was told they had no other vehicles available in the entirety of DFW. Really?? Then, to process the refund of the money I had already paid will take 7-10 days so I cant even use that money to rent a car elsewhere. I will NEVER use Hertz again as long as I live and I recommend you dont either.
This was my 1st time renting a vehicle for a vacation, honestly I thought the process was gonna be a headache. To my surprise this company and the guy who assisted me in the front, made it soo easy. It started to get busy but I was still assisted( which is great when on a time crunch). Service was great, car was clean and my questions were answered. On my next vacation I will get another rental from this company!! Thanks!
This is a great place with great customer service. I came in to pick up a car for Lyft and had recently visited another Hertz location and the difference was night and day. They were super busy as to not be able to acknowledged all the people coming in to the store, but they were resilient. Not only were they able to greet the clients coming in and direct them to the appropriate team member, but they also carried conversations with the regular clientele and made the atmosphere that much comfortable and heartwarming. You can tell that when you have great customer service you will draw more business into the door, the previous Hertz location that I visited did not seemed busy at all. Great job Guys!
I will never use this company ever again. Not just this location but I am never using the COMPANY again. When I was done using the car I vacuumed it out before I returned it and watched it and when I moved the seats there was trash that was there that didnt belong to me. If they are going to clean their cars after it gets returned they need to make sure to clean everywhere not just where people see.And then they had the audacity to charge me a $300 smoking fee when I didnt even smoke in the car.They made it so difficult to get the car in the 1st place, they were insubordinate and rude. The fact that there was trash in the car that wasnt mine makes me wonder how well they clean their cars. And that leads me to the conclusion that the ash they found could very well be from someone that had the car before me.On top of everything else I was trying to dispute the smoking charge they said they were going to charge me and while I was trying to talk to them they were too busy laughing and joking around with each other. When I finally got their attention the person who was helping me was still laughing while processing the rest of my return. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I get it its fun to laugh and joke around with your coworkers but not while you have a customer at the desk trying to speak to you.After looking at reviews for this location it appears that the owner only responds to comments that have at least 4 stars so Im guessing they dont know how to deal with confrontation and I can guarantee that I will not get a response to my issues.This company is trash and their customer service representatives are the most incompetent people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting.
Sincerely wonderful experience. Customer service was perfect both at the pickup and the drop off, as well as the two times I called to extend my rental in between. Car was brand new Chevy Spark, and I had several to choose from when I arrived. They were happy to pick me up from the auto repair shop as well as drop me back off when it was time to pick up my car. Over all, 5 star, and highly recommend them.
Booked a rental. Showed up. No cars available. Only one person in view in the office and she said “she walked into” this. I wasn’t even granted a phone call to let me know that there were no rentals available hence I could have saved the Uber trip since I had to Uber there and to Enterprise. Corporate will be getting a call today. Unacceptable.
The actual worst!!! If you are looking for a rental please and please do not go to this location. They offer the worst customer service In this location. They don’t care about your time or schedule. This is why hertz is going down because the people who are running the company are not managing it properly. I wish I could give a 0/5 they don’t even deserve a 1 star. The worst rental company I have ever been to. The worsttt!!!
This place is horrible at customer service. This will be my last interaction with them. I arrived at 3:59. To pick up a reservation at 4. They recently changed their time due to COVID, but I guess the app doesnt know yet, 6 months later.The guys comes out around 4:10. I tell him I need a car. He says he has to pick up his daughter and he cant stay. I ask what am I supposed to do? He says come back tomorrow. If a needed a car tomorrow, I wouldve reserve one for tomorrow. Wont have my business again
Despite covid and hertz being short on vehicles this location has always been super helpful. My only compliant is that they close super early and have no drop box, but they have always had my reservation ready to go. They are always super busy but great customer service.
This rental experience was terrible! I reserved my rental on Kayak for a full size car to be picked up at 5pm, which went really well. When I arrived at Hertz, I asked to check in for my rental and they told me that the car I reserved was already booked by somebody else and that I would have to pay extra for another car or they could put me in a smaller car for no charge. We went back and forth and they finally relented and gave me the full size car left on the lot because the other person who reserved a car that size was supposed to pick up at noon, but had not shown up at 5:30pm. I was not pleased to have to argue for a car that I reserved, or pay for an upgrade because they could not fulfill their commitment.Once we decided on the car, they tried to sell me insurance. I told them I already had insurance through Allianz. They told me and 2 other customers that Allianz would not cover cars in the State of Texas. Then I said, well, I have rental coverage through my own insurance company and a safety policy on my credit card. He went to his computer and started typing and then came back about 3 minutes later and informed me that my insurance company did not actually offer coverage on rental cars. I was a bit taken aback, so I asked how long I have to make a decision on insurance coverage. He told me that I needed to make the decision now, as they are scheduled to close at 6, but that I had a period of time to call back and decline the coverage. So I bought the coverage, assuming that I could talk to Allianz and my own insurance providers and call back to cancel if necessary.I got the keys and drove home. When i arrived home about 20 minutes later, I called the Allianz insurance company. I was informed that they cover rental cars in all 50 states and some select countries, but that rental companies often tell customers that they do not work to entice you to purchase their in house insurance. I then called my own insurance company and was again assured that I was covered in any car I drive because they insure the driver rather than the primary vehicle.I called Hertz back at about 6:15pm, but nobody answered. I remembered they were closing at 6 and figured I would just call them back in the morning. When I called back the next morning on my drive from Dallas to St. Louis, I was told that the period of time to cancel the coverage was 30 minutes from the time of purchase and that they could not do anything to help. I told them that is an incredibly small window of time for me to call other companies and verify my insurance coverage, but they refused to refund my insurance for my 6 day rental.Needless to say, I felt taken advantage of by Hertz Rental Cars and they two men working at the Dallas location on Forest Lane. These men are clearly taught to lie to their customers to try to sell them products that they do not need. I was lied to at least 3 times that day and given partial information another time that cost me nearly $200.I would not recommend Hertz Rental Cars to anyone, and especially not the location in Dallas on Forest Lane.
Showed up to pick up my rental that I reserved two days prior, only to be told there was no car available for me at all. Then had to go through the pain of calling a 1-800 number just to get my refund.No one communicated with me beforehand about not having a car available and too late to find anything else to rent. Will not be renting from them again.
I had actually provided five-star feedback to this location from a previous experience, and now I wish I could take it all back. I showed up today, reservation in hand, only to be told that there are no cars for this Five-Star Gold Member, and there was absolutely nothing that they could do, in spite of having two dozen locations with two major airports in the vicinity. They have all of my contact information, yet made no attempt to call or e-mail me, then lied about doing so. I am now stuck with schlepping my work tools everywhere I go in rideshares or taxis. I am very unhappy with them.
The pick up process was quick and painless and the employees were friendly. But the car we were given was in rough condition. It was dirty throughout (floors, seats, dashboard) and clearly had not been cleaned. We ran into a lot of rain and quickly discovered that the windshield wiper blades were worn out and they werent able to provide a safe, visible windshield for us. The tire pressure sensor kept going off. We pulled over multiple times and checked the air pressure at a few gas stations (we even had to buy our own pressure checker since once was not provided in the vehicle) and the pressure was always accurate, so the sensor was clearly not in working condition. All 4 doors had loud creaking noises when they were opened and closed which got really annoying. The power of this Jeep was lackluster. There was no get up and go power, and it took more time than it should to accelerate. Overall, we were very disappointed with this vehicle that we were provided as a rental. Also, this location is not conveniently located near the airport at all. It was a $25 Uber ride.
Called to make sure the car was picked up from the collision center. Spoke either Erik and I was on hold for 13 minutes. When he assisted me I informed him that I should qualify for my full refund and should not be charged. Erik then started being smart with me saying “so what’re you saying that the people at the caliber collision center drove the car around” and I said no that’s what you’re saying. All I’m asking is for my full refund. He then mentioned that if I wanted him to call and I said yes well then he said “Well I don’t have time to help you.” In a very smart tone. So he forward my call to the collision center and it was the wrong location he transferred me too. I spoke with Addison from the collision center by the galleria mall and I informed her about what was going on and she apologized on his behalf and I was like no need for that because it wasn’t her fault . She informed that she will email the manager from this location. I called back and spoke to Erik to let him know he transferred me to the wrong location but he cut me off and said I ended the call and I corrected him and told him no, I spoke with someone and I’m just letting you know that you transferred me to the wrong location. He then said what did he want me to do so I asked for his manager number . I left a voicemail. And I’m just highly disappointed and livid how someone can be so unprofessional and say “I don’t have time to help you.”
Awful customer experience, absolutely unacceptable. My vehicle (from DFW) had a faulty interior that caused the sunglasses/front interior light dome plastic casing to hang from the ceiling. The fixture popped out on the way to a business engagement. Feeling unsafe with this large object hanging in my face (can’t see rear view mirror, can’t see out windshield fully, attempted to pop the casing back in which allowed only one hand for driving) to no avail. I pulled off the next available exit to try to clamp it back it firmly, at which point it seemed the clasps had actually broken. There was a Hertz right across the street (the one I am writing about here) to which I would endeavor to swap my car for another. When I arrived I was first told no cars were available in my business class due to a recent hailstorm. Okay, understood. The only available vehicle was a pickup truck that would have been an additional $100 a day. For my business trip this would have been an extra $500. At this point in time, what SHOULD have happened is Hertz offered whatever vehicle they had on the lot at the same contracted rate, due to the vehicle being unsafe to drive. As anyone who has ever expensed business items before knows, it is wise to check with your leadership before adding such large charges. I stepped out of the counter to call my boss for her feedback. She was unavailable so I consulted with customer service and roadside assistance a few times. By the time I came back inside, the individuals working the counter advised everything had been “booked up” including the initial truck I was offered. Because this is a franchise, I had to get back to the airport to make a swap. This presents a problem mainly because the whole reason I stopped at this location, was because my vehicle was non-drivable. So I’ve now been waiting 1.5 hours for a tow truck and have missed my meeting. My company spends far too with Hertz annually to be put through such a ringer. Strongly advise you avoid this location, even if it is an emergency.
I’ve used many car rental companies and that is my first time with Hertz, supposedly the largest… Well… very unpleasant experience at the Josey Village, 2909 Forest Ln #500, Dallas, TX 75234 office: the stuff was not friendly, neither very helpful – the feeling you get in this office is all they care about is getting you to pay as many extra charges as possible; they didn’t have cars available even though reservation and appointment were made well in advance; while there they made a customer drive to a shop for an oil change so they can rent the car – that’s ridiculous!!!At the end, they charge me over $255 for their stuff didn’t record correctly the return date of the car, thus inflating our rental time with 8 days! In addition to that they charged us $25 for toll charge for getting once on a toll way with max $5 charge – that’s 5 times the max possible charge, and truly over 10 times the actual charge.Truly this office of Hertz is a BIG HOAX! Avid if all possible!
After being a Gold Member with Hertz for years, I refuse to ever use them again after experiencing their HORRIBLE NEGLIGENT customer service. We made the mistake of purchasing Hertz vouchers through our firm, but after calling Hertz in making a reservation, giving the voucher info over the phone and turning them into our local branch, they never applied it to our balance, even though our receipt after car drop off shows the voucher usage and shows our total due to only be $92 after $400 worth of vouchers applied. After trying calling, faxing and mailing, they still havent resolved. Thankfully, Chase disputed on our behalf since Hertz didnt take time to investigate and resolve. Now, Hertz has a 3rd party debt collector contacting us on this issue from October of 2017! What a nightmare! Never again! So if your company has perks with Hertz, choose someone else. Not worth your time or energy dealing with this company!
Zero stars. Arrived with a reservation, and they had no cars and had no idea when they would get cars in. There were 3-4 groups waiting in the same situation. The staff couldn’t be bothered to help and told me I could wait or go somewhere else. The staff was mostly just in the back room leaving the desk unattended and making it even harder to get help. Worst car rental experience ever.
This locations incompetence and stupidity has show through time and time again that they are a missrun branch who has no respect for its customers.Out of three visits, we have gotten one successful rental, the other two times failed due to the location closing early or not having any cars.Please save yourself the drive and go elsewhere.
This place is not what I expected it is ridiculously unefficient with what they do around there. First of all I came all the way from Florida to get my rental car and then the staff tells me that they lost the damn keys to the vehicle that we had rented. Then another rental car was turned in and he let us have that one—which was an upgrade and it was good but not worth wasting our time because we had to be in another town 2 hours away by a certain time... However, that car was outrageous, supper dirty! And then the employees had the audacity to say that they cannot clean it because they can’t go overtime... HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
The WORST car rental place I have ever been to. Customer service is non existent. They NEVER have their appointments together. They either dont have a car, out to lunch, or say you returned the car late, when you didnt. When your return isnt scheduled for hours later. Pack a lunch you going to be waiting for hours. If it was up to me this whole office would be fired.
If I could give less than one star I would. WORST customer service I have EVER had. We need to rent a car for my husbands auto claim and I would rather walk than deal with Hertz again. Initially I was happy with this location, as they had rented me a 2016 Toyota Camry through the Lyft/Hertz driver program. It wasn’t until I came to return the car that I had problems. The main guy in charge accused me of having a dog in the car that there was dog hair in it. He did not believe me when I pointed out it was my hair with pieces of lint. That no dog was ever in the car. So I took the car to a car wash.As a Lyft driver I decided to rent a car again as the holidays wapproaching. Well you’d think the car they are renting you, would be clean as they had insisted I make sure my last one be impeccably clean. Not even close, it was disgusting. I mentioned this an all the guy did was vacuum the floors. No car wash, no professional cleaning of the interiors. The car itself was a 6 cylinder 2015 Impala Lt, what a let down. If I am paying 800.00 plus a month, than I should be getting a higher standing car w great mileage. To be driving a car that is well made, not one that sounds ragged.I am gonna have to return the car which I shouldn’t have to do, in order to get something else which can be a process.So I guess I will have to use the other Hertz location which is in North Plano, a lot further from my home. They should be treating me with respect and making sure I am happy, as I am making them a lot of money. Not even close.
Gorilla marketing; Click-bait & switch. Prepaid rate SEEMS competitive, but no mention or disclosure of the rental being across town from the airport with no handicap assistance at the counter. No mention or disclosure of requiring an additional $200-dollar-deposit-credit-card-only until after the additional $100 dollar aitport shuttle both ways brought us to the location of vehicles. Even the $1,000 cash I had on hand wasnt accepted. We actually chose from the drop down menu the specific Dallas-FT-worth-International-Airport as opposed to a general Dallas selection that was available. Illegal and unresolvable by phone call to management second car prepayment refund hasnt shown up in the bank. Neither has the additional prepaid rental insurance $45. Terrible customer serviceI took my friend to pick up a day rental car. The door was locked and a note taped to the door said that the employee had stepped out and would be back soon. After 5 minutes of waiting in my car we called the number. He hung up/got cut off the first two times. The third time he said he was on his way back from delivering a car. Two other people arrived with cars. One seemed to be returning a car, he went back to the car, putting his bag back in the trunk. We werent sure about the other guy and thought he left, but later he came in while we were at the desk and got to work at a workstation computer. After about 20 minutes of waiting in the parking lot, we noticed someone in the office section. I knocked on the window. He came and opened the door, only after I wouldnt go away. He quickly ran back to the phone in the office to deal with an obviously irate person. We then waited in the lobby for another 10 minutes, until the desk clerk came back from delivering a car. He then motioned to the only car available in the parking lot and told my friend she would be getting a free upgrade, because that was the least he could do. He still made her wait while he went to vacuum it. She is still there, waiting. The clerk, Rory, was a smooth salesman but harried from doing too much. The manager Rogerlin Johnson was an idiot. The other employee seemed confused and poorly dressed. It is an odd bunch of men, who clearly have no idea how to run a business. This location is close to my home and would be great a place to go if it wasnt for all the hassle.
Your partner company, dollar rental is a pile. Ive been on the phone more hours than I work in a week... Its fun talking to Filipino people who give me a different story Every. Single. Phone. Call. This is bad for your company and bad for people that trust you when renting a car.

I had a reservation for 5p, but when I arrived at the location, the door was locked, so I knocked. An employee saw me through an open door so I waved at him. A couple of minutes passed and he didn’t come to the door, so I knocked again. This time the employee came out of the office, and, without saying a word, pointed to a piece of paper on one of the front windows stating they close at 4p then held up four fingers.
Took a week to get my next car after i had to return the one i was renting got backed into at Northeast Mall. Finally got a car but was 2015 not 2016 or the one i requested. They over charged me on gas by $57.00. Its been a month and still no refund of $$$. As i left the hertz the guy behind counter said be lucky you got a car. Really????? Horrible experience.
Started out ok, lady behind the desk was nice. But after the paper work she had to call the branch Mgr for a lease # and from there it went down hill. They did not have a car there and then said we had to go to another location to get a car and start the process all over again. No car, no rental, they did have a car dropped off but it was not an option for them. Remember they are not the only game in town.
I got there right as closing time and when he could have said sort we’re close he stayed late and got me a car. After asking where I was going he say I was in the wrong vehicle for the area I was going and fixed it with no extra charge. I rent cars a lot and never had someone go so out of their way to help! Will be a repeat customer for sure.
I booked and prepaid for a Volkswagen Jetta. They lied they are located at the galleria. They picked me up in a Lyft and took me to their location where instead of the car I booked they offered me a 2 door pick up truck or a very dirty 4 year old Hyundai Sonata they probably acquired from Craigslist.
Requested a car... any car for my rental when booking online... Upon arriving was informed by the attendant (which I had originally mistaken for a customer due to lack of uniform or name tag/badge and whom wreaked of cigarette smoke) that no cars were available... I can only assume that the 6-8 cars in the parking lot right outside the front door were simply there for “decor” purposes... But not to worry, Hertz was kind enough to “upgrade” us to a gas guzzling pickup truck at no additional charge... When asked if anything more reasonable on fuel economy was available, we were told they could definitely upgrade us to a slightly more fuel efficient compact/midsized SUV for an additional $10 per day... When I asked for a credit on fuel to help offset the cost difference in fuel economy I was given a simple and flat “no”... Didn’t have many other choices since we were already running late and needed to get on the road, so we ended up taking the truck... Was told the truck had a full tank of gas, that was a lie which I had to point out to the “professional” completing our rental paperwork and vehicle check off...Literally the only decent thing about this rental experience was the cleanliness of the truck and that it was a nice ride...Would NOT recommend this Hertz location and I will be very hesitant to rent from other Hertz establishments if this is standard practice...
WORST, SLOWEST, MOST UNTRUSTWORTHY service ever!We had issue with billing and we had to call the customer service ourselves, while the staff was just standing and waiting! Called the number at least 5 times for their error, and wasted 3 hours of our trip! We had to catch our flight and the problem was not resolved, and of course I had to make a call again from California. The customer service lady granted us a gift certificate that never came in mail !!!!

Made a reservation over a month in advance. On the day of pickup spent $30 in fare to get there, after which they tell me they don’t have any cars available and it didn’t matter if I had a reservation, Did not bother to call me, email me or leave a voicemail. Would not give me a ride back to my hotel, and did not offer to reimburse my fare, which I had to pay again to get out of there!
Horrible customer service! Gave me a rental I didnt ask for and when I tried to change they said they couldnt do it! Gave me a car were the alignment was messed up and they said it was my responsibility not theres and I would be charged and then they gave me a car that wasnt even clean smh I would not recommend this location and maybe not even this company for car rental. Pay the extra money and go with enterprise a place you can trust!

2022-07-03Very unprofessional rude behavior from the employee there.First, I had my car rented from Laredo, Texas location on 07/01/2022. My rental rate was for 97.06$ a day for which I accepted the rental. Then, I returned the car exactly on time to the Dallas location on Forest Lane who charged me for 174.99$ a day. I told the employee this is not right. He said to me he cannot fix it and I have to call customer service to solve this problem. I tried calling Laredo location which was closed. I told him that this is Hertz mistake and you should fix it and I showed him the receipt which shows the 97.06$ rate. I told him that I had a previous unpleasant experience with Hertz contacting them and I will not leave from there until this issue resolved. He immediately started saying do not yell at me and do not show me an attitude. I told him this is not an attitude and this is my right as a customer if you made a mistake to fix it. He said: I will not help you fixing it and you have to call customer service and billing department. I told you : “ you should do this, this was your mistake as Hertz and I am asking you to fix it”. He started yelling and said to me do not yell at me( which I did not at all). Then he said to me to get out of the store otherwise he will call the cops. I asked his name and he refused to give it to me. He also said you will be blocked from Hertz. I left the store with an intention to never rent a car from them for this unprofessional and rude behavior from this employee.I called customer service who confirmed that original receipt is the right one and they will issue me a refund in 5-7 day for the extra charged amount of money.I am leaving my worst review for this Hertz location for this unprofessional behavior and waiting for a satisfactory response to this totally unacceptable experience.

2022-02-22Yikes. Yall, please listen to these reviews. I couldnt get them to answer the phone and spent like 45 minutes messing around with the automated phone prompt.When I got a hold of them, they sent a Lyft way too early to the collision center and my driver had to wait 30 minutes for me to finish paperwork.After I arrived at Hertz, I had to wait an hour and a half for a car. When I got a car, both the interior and exterior were filthy (they told me yeeeeeah... sorry for how dirty it is, we didnt have time to clean it), the steering wheel was sticky, it smelled really bad (like rotten candy), and there were stains all over the inside. I ended up barely driving it because the smell made me nauseous and I refused the clean a car I was only renting for a very short period of time.Customer service was... okay... just kind of cold, matter-of-factesque.I didnt check reviews before picking out my rental company. I wont make that mistake again. Listen to the reviews and pick either a different Hertz or a different rental company altogether.

2022-02-11I returned my rental van to the Forest Lane location with a full tank of gas that I purchased from QT directly across the street, they are closed on Sundays so I put the key in the lock box. the next day they charged me $230 in fees for bringing it back empty. I had all my receipts and had to file a claim with her customer support dept that took a week and a half and still no avail so I finally got a hold of somebody on the phone that would listen to me plead my case and got my refund I should’ve known to look at the Google reviews for this location

2022-02-27Dont rent here unless you smoke a lot of weed and love strong perfume and headaches. Horrible customer service. Counter person barely spoke to us at all. The black Chevy impalas previous drivers must have smoked so much weed that they sprayed a fragrance to cover it up. It didn’t work and the fragrance was so bad we couldn’t be in the car for very long and had to have windows down in 30degree weather. We had to get wipes to wipe off the spray on the seats so we wouldn’t throw up. All 4 of us are nauseous and would have headaches from the car. Get it detailed and cleaned instead of trying to cover up the weed smell. Clean up the lobby and hire people that actually want to work and are friendly.

2020-11-16I made a reservation on Monday, November 9, to pick up a vehicle on Friday, November 13 at 5 pm at the Dallas location on 2909 Forest Lane # 500. I had to UBER my ride to the location and arrived 15 minutes early. A lady, who would not give me her name, told me, we have no vehicles. I asked to speak with the manager who was not there but would arrive in 10 minutes. The manager told me the same thing, we have no vehicles available. I told her, I have a reservation so you need to get me a vehicle here asap. She told me I needed to call another location in downtown Dallas. I told her I would not call the location but she needed to call the location. She calls the location and was told there were vehicles available. She proceeded to tell me I needed to go to the downtown location to get a vehicle. I told her I did not have a ride and could not go and asked her to go and get me the car and bring it to this location. She proceeded to tell me that I was being rude and needed to leave the premises. I told her I was not going to leave. She picks up her mobile phone and calls the police giving them my description saying, I have a belligerent customer, who refuses to leave the location. I asked for her contact information or a business card and was refused. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH HERTZ AGAIN (business or pleasure)! This manager needs to be fired. If I could give zero stars, I would.

2021-12-20Very disappointing experience. I rented a car (paid in full on Hertz website). Showed up and the man told me that they had no cars in the fleet. He told me that I would receive a refund within 5-7 business days because they had no cars available. It has been over a month and I still have yet to get a refund. I have called with no resolution. I have emailed with no resolution. It is next to impossible to get anyone on the phone. Such disappointing and dishonest service.
