Holiday Inn Amarillo West Medical Center, an IHG Hotel in Amarillo

Amarillo, Potter County, Texas, US
Beware all ye who enter here: there was loud music with fairly heavy bass absolutely bumping until midnight (unpleasant for us road-weary travelers simply trying to sleep before doing some more driving) and it required repeated calls to the front desk just to get an estimate of when the music from the event three floors below us would end, despite Holiday Inn listing quiet hours starting at 10:30pm per their policy. Generally seems pretty run-down, the key console in the room we were originally given was too low on battery to operate so we went back and forth with the front desk 3-4 times before they gave us a new room. The tub looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while and the cover on the overflow drain was broken and just laying on the floor of the tub, which was an unwelcome surprise for someone (me) who needs to shower in the morning before getting back in the car to spare my boyfriend from my smelliness. Breakfast costs extra even though the Holiday Inn Express across town includes complimentary breakfast—highly recommend against patronizing this hotel when there are better options in Amarillo!
We booked the hotel from the site while travelling to move from Utah to Texas. On our way to the hotel, we drove through a major storm, then came up on a bad wreck that blocked us in and it was already 2AM. Called the hotel and they had the room for us and said they would hold it (some will give the room to someone else if you dont show up by a certain time). Got there at 5AM and the manager on duty was so nice and helpful. Room was clean and beds comfy. Got some much needed rest. Went to check out later that morning and the desk clerk was also super nice. Talked to housekeeping staff in the lobby and outside the room and they were also super nice. Highly recommend staying here!
First off I want to start by saying that the only reason they get this many stars is because the staff was phenomenal. True kind and caring people, personable and willing to serve. The room and hotel however were in a state of disrepair. Our room (246) was dated and dirty. There was rust all over the towel bar, drywall cracks in the shower. The shower floor was black with scum. I’ve stayed at plenty of holiday inn locations and this is the only one I’ve ever thought was gross. The carpet in our room made us want to keep our shoes on it looked like it’d been there since 1979 well trodden and scuzzy. Also there was a busted lamp on the table that the only way to turn it on or off was to plug/unplug it.Going back to Drury next time we’re in Amarillo.
I thought I was in for a memorable experience when I booked the presidential suite, room 426. Well, the good news is I was correct. The bad news is that it is not for the reasons I was hoping. The Jacuzzi tub was broken. Oh, and it had bedbugs. I found one crawling on the bed and when I squished it in a tissue it was full of blood so I was definitely getting snacked on all night. I had to drive back home two hours that night and wash all of my belongings and hope that I did not introduce any into my home. Thanks Holiday Inn!
Family stayed here for a nice weekend for 4th of July. The staff was very welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. JP, the greeter, is very nice, Benadette is a wonderful waitress who also greeted us and made sure we needed everything with our meal. Chef D made breakfast buffet dishes delicious and hot! He visited our table and a few other customers to make sure the guests needs are met. This was our first visit Amarillo and its a great place to visit. We will be back real soon.
Tesla Supercharger on the edge of the parking lot. The full service breakfast is very good. The service is just impeccable. You can choose from a fixed price buffet or you may order off of a menu prepared by a fine chef to your specifications. We were pleasantly surprised to see our favorite waitress there, Brenedet. Of course, our coffee was always being refilled before getting too low. John P. was providing outstanding service to all of the customers as they came in. Chef D. was also seeing to customer needs when he wasnt preparing menu orders. I must say, it was a near 5 star breakfast experience. Now that we have discovered our new favorite breakfast spot, we will be back. The hotel is good as well. There is a cozy bar open in the evenings. It seems popular enough. I didnt try it out my myself.Fine restaurants are a short walk from the hotel and even closer to the Supercharger Charging station. Kabuki, Longhorn Steak House, Saltgrass Steak House and Slim Chickens are all really close and easy to walk to while charging your Tesla.
Positive: The location was where we needed to be. But there are other hotels in the area so go with one of those that have free breakfast, clean, and friendly staff. There was not a TV guide or any info in the room. Breakfast was not free like advertised. Negative: The location was where we needed to be. But there are other hotels in the area so go with one of those that have free breakfast, clean, and friendly staff. There was not a TV guide or any info in the room. Breakfast was not free like advertised.
I stay at this hotel once a year for the past 5 years or so. This hotel has gone downhill in that time. It used to be an amazing Holiday Inn, but now it has lost its luster. The lock is missing from the bathroom door in my room and the towel holder in the shower is rusty and the top shelf is broken.
Carlos at the front desk is great. Josh that runs the restaurant and bar does a fantastic job. I stay at Holiday Inn exclusively and this one is definately one of the better ones and located with minutes of restaurants. Only 4/5 due to vanity lights have been out for weeks.
Positive: The employee at the front desk was very accommodating and friendly. We checked in during a rush, and she remained calm throughout the chaos. Negative: The mattresses were VERY hard, resulting in an uncomfortable sleep. Ny husband is in pest control & saw signs of bed bug activity. Thankfully, he didnt see an active threat, otherwise we would have checked out immediately. Definitely not worth the price.
This place it not worth it. They didn’t give me the room I paid for, no apologizes or concession were made; The change in room availability was not even mentioned it upon check in. The front desk staff was unable to tell me whether the linen or pillows were feather free and no attempt was made to find out other than the statement that “house keeping is gone for the day”. (I’m allergic to feathers ) so no regards for a possible severe allergic reaction by your guest😳.Upon check in the front desk also assumed I was with another family because of my race. I was asked three times as if my “no” was not enough. The staff here doesn’t know anything about the hotel, doesn’t care about severe allergic reaction and can’t seem to deal with multiple guests of the same race at the same time.
I should have turned around as soon as I got out of the car. The loud music from the bar was being broadcast in the parking lot, in the lobby, the elevator and the hallway. Then, the room wasn’t set up properly, no soap, no washcloths and no chair at the desk. Finally, the bath mirror features a really pretty but functionally lacking feature. It has a round mirror mounted on the background mirror, with LED lighting behind the round mirror. Useless as task lighting to apply makeup or insert contacts.
This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. The staff were NOT honest about their hot tub functioning even though I called before arrival and also asked upon check in. The hot tub jets do not work, its just a warm tub and not even warm enough for therapeutic purposes. The restaurant was just snack items. Im not considering Holiday Inn in the future. I called and left a message for the front desk to have the manager call me. Im still waiting three weeks later for a call back. Very disappointed.
Positive: Hotel employee at the front desk was a shining example of what a front desk representative should be. Friendly, helpful and competent. The lady working the bar was cert friendly and attentive as well. The food and cocktail were both delicious. Negative: There wasnt any soap in the bathroom and it was odd having my towel rack in the shower with me.
As a exhausted platinum elite ihg member I stopped here on my drive back home to Wyoming. I made the WRONG decision. I was put in a incredibly itchy and mildew scented room. The shower was totally unusable it was dirty and the previous coats of tub paint was peeling up and it was utterly disgusting. The beds showed signs of bed bugs. Please stay at the other holiday inn its way cleaner and updated.
My wife, granddaughter and I stayed at the IHG Medical West in Amarillo June 11-12, 2022. Long trip in a while and we checked in late on the night of the 11th. Pretty rowdy crowd hanging around in the lobby and outside and just felt edgy given all the craziness of the world with mass shootings, etc…I was unsure about eating at the buffet vs just hitting the road early and grabbing a fast food bfast to eat in the car but my granddaughter wanted to eat in the hotel restaurant so of course we did!Bfast buffet the morning of the 12 was wonderful. Food was good, restaurant was clean but most importantly the service provided by manager John P, our waitress Bernadette and Chef D was inspiring!I don’t take time to write reviews, I just met John P, Bernadette and Chef D that morning but they truly took care of us and checked in on us and seemed to genuinely care about us.
BED BUGS. I felt like my skin was crawling and I was becoming itchy. I start looking at the sheets and there are a bunch of tiny little bed bugs. The bed is also really high up and hard to get up on to if you have physical problems. Pet friendly though, I had no choice but to stay here. If you dont want to itch your way through the night, dont stay here.
Positive: Good location, clean. Negative: They charged for parking which is ridiculous and this charge was not clearly listed upfront. I wouldn¿t have booked here if I had known about the parking charge. This is just a way to sneakily tack on a charge that you can¿t do anything about!
The Holiday Amarillo West Medical Center was an excellent stop on our Western Rockies road trip. It has 8 Tesla superchanrgers in the free parking lot. I dont know how they knew we were guests, but our supercharging was $0.00.The beds were comfortable, as well as a couch and cushioned chair. The room had a small refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffeemaker. The tv was on the small side, but were there for the rest. Recommended tor the rest and amenities.
Positive: The hotel was beautifully decorated and the room was clean other than the bathtub. The staff was very nice. It is conveniently located, once you figure out the location of the driveways/entrances off the main roads. The AC also worked well. Negative: The bathtub was not cleaned adequately: there was hair that was obviously not mine (I am a redhead and the hair was almost black) all over the tub. This was probably just an oversight by housekeeping and easy to rinse down the drain, but still concerning.
10/27/21-10/28/21We had an amazing experience there, in just a short time!Xavier checked us in Wednesday night, and was super friendly! We had just had a 13 hour drive and he was super sympathetic, he even went the extra mile to try to raise our spirits. The room was spacious, clean, and had awesome smelling soaps. The breakfast buffet in the morning was hot and delicious!JP made sure everyone had what they needed, from coffee, to seating, to clearing plates out of the way. He was super friendly and outgoing, one of the nicest people on our trip.We would 110% recommend this hotel!!
Very marginal and quite disappointing. It was not clean, especially the TV remote which was so disgusting I decided not to watch TV. Upon check-in, they charged $5 for parking as if Amarillo wasnt one giant nearly empty parking lot. There was a vague smell of vomit coming from somewhere and the construction is such that every footstep from the floor above was audible.
Positive: The bed and pillows are comfy. Amazing hot cooked breakfast in dinning area. The staffing in dinning are very friendly and attentive. Negative: Customer service at the front desk was poor. The pool was extremely warm and it was so moist and foggy in the pool area that beads of sweat were dripping. Hot tub did not work and sauna. Can hear through the room walls and bedding was grungy.
Positive: We liked the room size and overall hotel look and feel. Negative: Curtains do not close. Couldnt tell if the windows were tinted and we felt very exposed. Shower curtain did not fit. It had been snapped together to try and compensate, but it didnt help. Lights in bathroom mirror were burned out. Fridge didnt work.
Positive: Clean room. Negative: First I was charged a parking fee but my credit card was charged $20 for a $5 parking fee. If I didn¿t charge anything else I should see a $15 credit on my card. Still waiting for that. No soap in my room. Told no breakfast without a coupon never give
First room they put me in had a broken AC and the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. Then a hail storm came and I parked my rental car under the front awning - but the manager started screaming at me and waving his finger. He could have just told me no in a polite voice. It was even more condescending as he had his car parked there - but I couldn’t use it for the same purpose.
Positive: Comfortable bed with extra pillows. Negative: Coffee pot in my room did not work, and there was only one wash cloth in the room, that and the wall by the first bed should have been washed off it looked like someone had a food fight with it, are wiped a dirty baby dipper all over it.
Was super busy at check in, I reserved my room online and arrived about 8pm. Carlos at the front desk was amazing, super polite, remembered my name later that evening, good man. We put our things in the room and went down to the bar to watch Sunday night football, have a drink and dinner. Food was great, quality beverages and Cindy was an amazing host/bartender. She sat with us for a few minutes, talked about our dogs, NM etc, she was amazing as well. Room was terrific, spacey and clean. My first priority when getting a room is comfort, good beds, etc and there was no disappointment. Gave 1 less star simply with the breakfast. My buddy went down before me and when I got there I asked what he was having and he said the buffet. He then said might hold off because it was 13 dollars? Kind of steep for some scrambled eggs and sausage. I just hung out with him, did pour a half cup of coffee that was in the pot at the table. Check came out and the waitress told me she had to charge me 2.80 for me pouring a half cup of coffee? Thought that was odd and a little over the top. However, all that being said, place was awesome for the overall 1 night price. Will definitely visit again.
The room was clean and nice and above expectations but what won me over was the amazing hospitality of the staff. Incredible service and truly wonderful, kind, and sweet people. Traveling with a pet is difficult but the staff made me, my wife, and our dog Jerry feel at home
As a Sprie Ambassador I highly recommend this property! By far one of my best stays yet.. super clean hotel staff is great.. I stayed in the triple crown suite and absolutely gorgeous! I normally stay at the holiday Inn express down the street but not anymore... Ill definitely make it a point to stay here!

Why does this Holiday Inn have the quality of a Motel 6? Our window wasnt installed correctly and you could tell. Every time a gust of wind blew past our window there was a horrible whistling. There was footprints in our bathtub. Theres a residue, I cant tell if its rust or if its something else, around the shower fixtures. Our closet doors handle was broken. Over all, our entire room felt like it was built by someone who was on their last day of work. The pool was nice.
I was impressed with the staff at this property, they truly are hospitality representatives. I stayed at this hotel for a night, passing through on family road trip. The caring, warm welcoming attitude provided by their Night Auditor, Xavier, is first-rate. The gentleman that seem to be working by himself in the restaurant on the morning of our departure was impressive. As we were having breakfast I noticed the many hats he wore: host, waiter, food line attendant, and table bussing while continuously maintaining a positive uplifting attitude and providing time to make all the guests in the restaurant feel welcome. In general, a great stay.
The good: rooms were mostly clean and no sign of any bugs. Rooms came with microwave and fridge. The bad: check in will take you a solid 30-99999 minutes. Key cards will likely not work after an annoyingly long wait to check in, Pool is super dim and not well kept. Rooms are in need of repairs. Agree with previous comments about sheets being stained. Desk in the room was made for giants.
This property is great. It is very well run and very organized. Rooms are good sized and well laid out. Beds are very comfortable and room (and the entire hotel) was spotlessly clean. Dinner menu was limited in size (due to the pandemic) but there were good choices and the food was excellent and a very good value. Front desk staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Hotel is pet friendly and I saw several dogs there when I stayed and all seemed to go well with their stay. Bar is well stocked and bartender was very friendly and helpful.
Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, room was quiet, food service was good, food was okay,. I ordered the pasta and would i order something different next time, If you have pet allergies tho this wouldn’t be the place to stay. Ran into a number of dogs in halls and in elevators. Pretty much every time I left the room. It was a busy night there with the WRCA rodeo that week going on. Not sure if it is always that busy otherwise. Wish they had free breakfast but they didn’t.
The staff was friendly and welcoming when we checked in. They also recommended eating at the hotel restaurant and it was so delicious and convenient. I was so surprised how good the food was. The beds were comfortable and after a great nights sleep we had a tasty breakfast and the waitress Bernadette was so helpful and friendly. I will recommend my stay to family and friends
The bed was comfortable, large sized room and excellent breakfast. The hotel lobby bar had local beers on tap which is big plus. The staff made sure that you had all breakfast coupons and housekeeping needs met ASAP. Would definitely stay here again. Location is adjacent to the best food and life that Amarillo offers.
We stayed in a suite. It was very nice. The room had enough room that we had people coming in and out and they were comfortable for good visits with each other. Bed was nice and comfortable. The bathroom was big and classy. The staff provided a nice service. The breakfast was delicious and JP the host was on top of everything. Definitely one of the best Holiday Inns we have stayed at!
Great hotel, clean comfortable rooms like you expect with HOLIDAY INN! Staff was great. My only negative was breakfast Sunday morning was subpar for HOLIDAY INN standards. We arrived 30minutes before closing, plenty of time for fresh eggs and sides! Breakfast is cheap, keep it fresh! Manager comped meal and he should have. Monday morning breakfast was much better, but we got there when they first opened, we had early flights out.
Check in was very pleasant and speedy. The staff were great then and when we checked out.Our room was a very nice and comfy room. A/C was great. The remote wouldnt turn the tv off and on, but would change channels when we manually turned in on. No biggie. If we were staying more than one night I may have asked for assistance. I loved the desk with the rolling table underneath....great for snacking and playing games. We didnt eat breakfast, but it looked like people were enjoying it very much.We will absolutely make this our hotel of choice in Amarillo.
Booked this hotel a couple of days ago so my wife and kids could have a break from being on the road coming back from Colorado. Everything seemed okay when we showed up...... until they gave me a key to SOMEONE ELSES ROOM THAT WAS OCCUPIED. So I went back to the front desk and told them hey someone is already in this room as I handed them the key back. They gave me another key for a different room. So I went to the new room...... put the key/card in the door..... it unlocked......I opened it..... JUST TO WALK IN ON SOME LADY IN THE ROOM!!!!! So I went back to the front desk and raised hell!!! Carlos.... the guy working the front desk apologized and said he would comp the room. Got a notification from my bank... just to find out not only did they charge me for both rooms...... but they charged me $100 more than what showed on my receipt!!!!! He claimed it would all be adjusted when I checked out...... but best believe Ill be reaching out to corporate!!! F this place!!
Stayed here on our way home. First the front desk person who checked us in, Carlos, was EXTREMELY nice and accommodating. We knew that if we needed anything he would be happy to help. The beds were nice. We really enjoyed how many restaurants were located near by. It is very conveniently located near shopping as well.
I stayed there for 7 nights, all was okay but on the last night, after been working all day come to find my room open (most likely all day) I came down to the front desk and the manager didn’t even acknowledge me, it was the agent that came with me to my room to make sure no one was in it! There was a razor left in the bed, and from what I can see, it was probably housekeeping as they do leave the doors open when they are cleaning. When I asked why was the razor there or my room left open, she tried to call her manager and I can her him asking what does she wants?!! I told her that the minimum he should have had the courtesy to come himself and listen to my concerns! This manager should not be there if all he can do is leave he staff dealing with the problems of the hotel! NOTHING was offered for my inconvenience and risk at leaving my room open ALL day!
Stopped for a single night, and enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Amarillo West Medical Center. Super friendly staff made for a warm welcome and pleasant experience. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable; all ingredients for a good nights sleep. Breakfast had plenty of healthy and tasty options. Good location for travelers. I would definitely stay again.
We held a family reunion here and everyone had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The restaurant prepared excellent food and the wait staff were professional and friendly. In fact, everyone went out of their way to make sure we were welcomed and well taken care of. The air conditioning worked perfect which was a big plus for the summer heat. And special thanks to the Food and Beverage Manager, Josh for making sure all our meals were prepared correctly and delicious. Other staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home included Salinda, Pia, Ray (front desk) and Mary (housekeeping). Thanks so much for a successful reunion.
The facility is very pretty and the room was quite nice. Disappointed in the linen supply in the bathroom but front desk made it right. The breakfast buffet is only a little better than what is complimentary at other facilities - don’t pay for it - go elsewhere. If covid precautions are important to you don’t stay here. Otherwise I would gladly recommend this hotel.
The location of the hotel is great. Several restaurants and nice places are in a walking distance. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The AC could be improved, they use old units that leave the room humid and worm instead of cool and dry, you can feel the difference when you enter the room, the halls are cool and dry but the room is humid and not necessarily cool, also, those units are pretty noisy.
I was set to check in at another hotel and after eight hours of driving to Amarillo, I was informed by a note posted on the door that there was a gas leak there. Right away I started looking for hotels in the area. A lot of them were overpriced or not to my standards for a good rest. I was able to book a room with Holiday Inn right away, for a fair price - given the short notice - and I was able to check in immediately afterwards. The front desk clerk was kind, informative and understanding. The lobby was clean and cool - a huge plus to get away from the sweltering summer heat. It was a busy day but we were able to get settled in a comfortable and cozy room, one near the stairs so I could take my dog out of the building without any fuss. The Holiday Inn in Amarillo gave me refuge from an arduous drive and I so appreciate it. My fiancée and I had an excellent time.
Not enough towels in the room for 2 guests. No shampoo included with toiletries. Overhead light in bath did not work. One of the table lamps did not have an on/off switch - had to unplug or screw bulbs in and out to turn light on and off. Food in the restaurant and bar was really good. Credit card reader was not working. When we checked in clerk had to reset for each guest. She was very apologetic, but that does not help the line move faster. Reader did not work at all for food service.
Stayed here since they have Tesla Superchargers on site. I go through here every week or two and sometimes stay at other hotels in the area since this one is usually often booked fully. Rooms and beds are nice, no issues. Staff is nice and if youre an account member you get a free drink from the market area.
Chose this hotel due to the pet policy (cats & dogs allowed for a fee.) Room seemed to be clean & comfortable beds. Room was small for two beds. Busy with travelers. Easy on and off I-40. An okay shopping mall, Target and decent food nearby. This property got the job done for us... a decent sleep.
So I booked a special room with a jacuzzi tub back on May 12, 2021 for our son to stay at on his wedding night July 24. I was in town Memorial weekend for my future daughter in law bridal shower , so we went by the hotel to check on the room I booked to make sure everything was good for Saturday July 24th. They assured me everything was good and I had already paid for the room and had a confirmation number. The day of the wedding (July 24) I called that morning to make sure once again everything was good and asked if we could check in an hour early so that I could leave their bags and get to the wedding. They said that we couldn’t check in early because they were booked the night before. No problem I’ll check in normal time. Got there to check in for my son and drop off bags and they had given the room I paid for back in May to someone ELSE! Keep in mind I called earlier that day to check on this room and they assured me again it was the jacuzzi room that I had paid for in May. BUT THEY GAVE IT AWAY!! Unbelievable! We have to be at the wedding venue by that time and I was upset that they didn’t keep there word about the room that I had PAID for BACK IN MAY! They ended up giving us another room. NO JACUZZI (you know like I specifically asked for and paid for back in MAY) VERY DISAPPOINTING TO KNOW YOU CAN HAVE A RESERVATION BOUGHT AND PAID FOR MONTHS AHEAD OF TIME ONLY TO HAVE IT TAKEN RIGHT FROM UNDER YOU! Why even HAVE a reservation then!!! Yes I’m STILL UPSET ABOUT IT!!!
Hotel was pristine. Our room was cool and comfortable, but we are a family of 4 and only had 2 towels. We went to the front desk to request 2 more and were told there was a towel shortage and there would not be any cleans ones until 6am. Also, upon check in and during our reservation process we were told there was free breakfast included. The sneaky part was that it was free for the kids and each adult was $12.95. We ended up checking out early to go get breakfast before we got back on the road.
After a long drive we were ready to have a nice rest. Unfortunately we were connected to a third party to make the reservation. We were not informed about any of the extra fee that we were charged. fortunately Carlos the supervisor was more then willing to make changes to our reservation to meet the criteria that we were expecting upon booking our reservation. All in all thanks to Carlos we were satisfied with choosing this holiday in in Amarillo TX and would book there again.
I would have given this rating a negative rating if I could got to the hotel and got told that I had to have the authorization form from my boss that had paid for the room and then told me that either I can have them charged my card which I had no money or I wouldnt get the room and then after the fact then they charged my bosss card the next day like I had spent the night I had to sleep in my car
Positive: Clean and comfortable room. Negative: I think it is extremely lame to charge for parking. I missed that when I booked the room. Wasnt even told by the staff. Just happened to notice the $10 charge on the bill slid under the door the next morning. It isnt the amount just the principle.
We called for a reservation for two rooms a few hours before arriving. We were quoted a price. On arrival, the staff was not overly friendly but accommodating. The room was clean. Amenities were sufficient for arriving late and leaving early. We were informed the hours of breakfast, but were surprised the next morning to find it was not complimentary. We had inquired about a senior or AAA discount when making the reservation. After we departed , we looked at our receipt (our error) to find we had not been given any discount, and had been charged a parking fee for each room when we only had one car. This kind of deception in hidden fees is not acceptable. Very disappointed!!
The hotel staff was so helpful and accommodating to us when we had an emergency come up during our travels. We had to change a reservation date and also had to add an extra night which they were able to do on short notice. The room is very clean and since we had our dog with us they put us on the first floor. There are also several restaurants nearby and very convenient to I40.
We stayed overnight at this hotel for a family wedding. The hotel staff was great! They were helpful, friendly and courteous. Our bathroom mirror (make-up light insert) was out and we intended to mention it to the main desk, but forgot. It really was a 5 star rating in my books. Breakfast was made to order and delicious!
The hotel is very clean and the staff is great. We stayed a total of 3 nights during our trip and the staff was very helpful. We had our dog with us and they were able to get us a first floor room on our second night. The hotel is very conveniently located to many restaurants and I40.
Positive: The staff was very helpful on both check-in and check-out. The rooms were cleaned well before our arrival. Negative: Both rooms we stayed in had mildew smells and had very thin walls. TVs were dated and the rooms have no USB plugs so be sure to bring extra wall warts. There is no free breakfast and there is a fee for parking. Overall OK experience but not great.
I travel for work and have stayed at many hotels. This hotel is very accommodating. Very nicely decorated and clean. Conveniently downstairs is a bar and a restaurant. The food is great and the beer is cold. The entire staff was great and very much a wonderful experience. The location is great too. Right next to a movie theater and other restaurants within walking distance in case you wanna change up the menu. In the room, very clean and the beds were very soft.
Wow. What a WONDERFUL place to lay your head! Wish we were here for longer! Carlos and Cindy just made our night!! This place has a restaurant and a hotel bar. The food was AMAZING, Thanks for the recommendation, Carlos, that chicken Tuscan sandwich, was DELICIOUS 😋. Not too expensive either at $13. I mean I got potatoes also, so it was definitely worth it. And the bartender, Cindy, has so much experience and is WONDERFUL at her job. That Texas style Long Island was SPOT ON. PERFECT! Then we get to our room, the room was large, and beautiful. We will absolutely stay here again I we are in this part of Texas, again!!
We have traveled to this hotel from Colorado every year since it was built. THIS BY FAR WAS THE BEST TRIP FOR OUR LARGE GROUP.. THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY FOR US. THEY COOKED TURKEY FOR FREE ON THANKSGIVING AND IT WAS GREAT. THEY TOOK GREAT CARE OF OUR KIDS ALL MEALS WE HAD AT THE HOTEL WERE HOT AND VERY GOOD. THANK ALL OF YOU GOR A GREAT STAY. AND THE BEST STAY WE HAVE HAD THIS YEAR ANYWHERE AND WE TRAVEL A LOT. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.SINCERELY,BRIGHTON WRESTLING CLUB!
The bed was comfortable but too high. I had trouble getting in. I am 5 foot tall but a senior. It seems to be a trend everywhere.I love the walk in shower and again at my age much more convenient and safe. Breakfast was disappointing as I ordered scrambled eggs and while cooked on the outside even the whites were raw and runny inside. They offered to replace them but my appetite was poor and I declined. Service in the restaurant was good. This HI will be a favorite stop in Amarillo.
We left one hotel we had booked to come to this Holiday Inn because there were “shady” things happening at the other one and homeless people hanging out in the parking lot. NONE of that was experienced at this hotel. We immediately had a sigh of relief when walking through the door. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, staff was friendly. This particular hotel does allow pets and there was about a 10 minute time frame someone dog was barking incessantly. I had to call the front desk to ask them to have the owner quiet the dog. No further disturbances from there.
I try to always stay at IHGs. I prefer the Express, but will take the hotel in a pinch. This particular hotel advertises full service restaurant, but only had a $12.99 buffet on Sunday morning. When all you want is coffee, one egg, and piece of fruit - I was definitely not happy with the price.
I often stay at Holiday Inn Expresses, they are consistently clean and up to date. This hotel is no exception. The only drawback was the bathroom was slightly less than perfect- some rust stains in the tub and it was in need of a new (unclogged) shower head. Also the water pressure and warmth was lacking during morning showers, but no problems in the evening. All in all, a good hotel and good stay.
Worst HI I have stayed in in many years if not ever. First room we were given had a shower so filthy and stained that my spouse refused to use. The hotel moved us to a room where we discovered that the floor in front of the A/C was WET. Too tired to move again - we ignored and reported on checkout. Also no shampoo, one wash cloth, rusted shower fittings. The restaurant service almost bailed out the stay but the food was cold. You can do better!!!BTW … I tried to make a reservation at the HI Express in Uvalde, Texas for weekend of October 2 … was told NO room at the INN due to Border Patrol. OK - I waited too long but then two of our party who also had changes called and were given rooms. So … I tried again … still no room… I gave up trying to book two rooms for 3 nights.
My stay was an enjoyable one. My room however was not ready at check in time due to the previous person having a late check out so I was definitely not happy about that but the cs representative kindly offered free breakfast to me and my guests for the following morning. The room was spacious and clean and the customer service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
I booked and paid in advance for a King Suite and when I arrived the room was not cleaned and housekeeping had left for the day. They put me in a less expensive, double queen room. The room was in poor condition and the corner room windows allowed to much light to come thru resulting in a very poor nights sleep.
We were here meeting relatives traveling through Amarillo, who needed their Tesla charging station. They allowed us to use their lobby to spend time with our family and offered us free coffee while we waited for their vehicle to charge. Very nice staff and many restaurants within walking distance.
Mason at the front desk was so friendly and helpful when we arrived late at 1:45 am after a long journey driving in from New Mexico. The room was beautiful and clean with only 1 negative: we found a huge dead roach in plain sight under the sink! Gross! Other than the roach, we had a pleasant visit here. Just remember its very chilly in the morning and at night here even in August! Nothing like Vegas where we came from.
Unfortunately sleep was not found. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The table was sticky and the room had a funky smell, like natural gas. Most amenities well stocked but no cups for coffee. Our sons room was lacking a telephone cord. Departure day the lobby smelled of dog feces. Wouldve liked a complimentary breakfast for the price. Overall not a great experience. Will likely book elsewhere when we return to the area.
They charge for breakfast... I wrote a not so nice review. The manager emailed me, wanted to explain some things. I could disagree... but he did refund a night, and that was fair. So Ive changed the star. Writing reviews can be worth while for either party. The consumer has a say after all. Thanks for the hotel refunding, also to google for allowing reviews. The room was clean and cleaning ladies were polite. Mr. Manager your just okay now.
Good job👍 Holiday Inn Amarillo West Medical. Breakfast staff was great! Aug 29, 2021 @8:30 am didnt get their names but hope Holiday inn hires more like them. They were polite and professional and the food was hot and fresher than other hotel breakfasts. Caught being good: visible cleaning/sanitizing, noticed them using hand sanitizer. Very reassuring thank you.
Me and my fiancé really enjoyed our stay, we stood here because it was close to Texas Dodge where we got some work done on our car. The room was clean and the beds were super comfortable. The staff was super friendly and when we asked for a late check out they had no issue or problem with it! Will stay again in the future.
Room was decent enough..need more cleaning in bathroom..staff was friendly but not very informative as to the details of my stay.. price of room ONLY includes complimentary coffee in lobby. Thats it. Ridiculously overpriced considering you still pay $10 for the parking, too! And they charged my card $20 and I still have not seen credit of $10 back on my card from the property..I will not be staying there again and donot recommend it for anyone else.
Definitely not worth the price of admission. Found two bugs crawling in my room. The bathroom amenities were mediocre at best. The restaurant menu had less options than a little league ball park. The front desk clerk was polite; however, outside of that, I would not recommend this place.
Positive: Clean, well lit, modern, with comfortable furnishings, Negative: That surprise $20 parking fee we discovered only at check in. Get this: it¿s $10 a day charged twice for a one night stay. Then they wanted to charge extra for breakfast the next morning. Classic chiseling.
I expected to have excellent service and accommodations at Amarillo Medical Center West. Three customers had to wait for check in for 10 minutes as there was only one employee on duty at the front desk. He was getting extra sheets and pillows for another guest and was unable to man the front desk. Once he returned from the laundry area, he was efficient and polite, but obviously stressed. One person working the front desk at a large hotel Covid conditions is just unacceptable. Id be stressed too! It was Good Friday and a busy time in Amarillo. Once we got to our room, there were limited towels, no cups, and the hair dryer did not work; room 332. I reported the hair dryer to a young lady at the front desk the next morning, Saturday, 04/03/21, and she looked up at me, never spoke, and looked back down, as if she did not understand me. I walked away and wondered if another guest would have the same room with the same broken hair dryer. I thought she just does not care and will not report this for repair. I am a speech pathologist and assess communication skills. No one should be ignored when they speak to someone unless they do not understand the language being spoken. This person was just plain rude. I always stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels when I travel, but will not stay at this hotel again.
We had to make a one day drive from Houston with the one night stay and turn around to return to Houston the following day. The staff at this hotel were very helpful and pleasant. We were so happy with the room. As very tired travelers, it was a very restful experience.
I will never stay here again and have asked our corporate travel to take this off their list. Checked in after 6 pm. No towels in the room, no cups and the chair at the desk is broken. It is almost like sitting on the floor and trying to use a computer. The TV remote does not work and you have to get up and adjust volume manually as welll as changing the channel. Towels were finally delivered but I had to go in search of cups. Housekeeping did not have them and the front desk did not respond. This morning I asked for a cup of coffee and was handed a cup half full with no lid - it was obvious I was heading to my car. Other than housekeeping, front desk people are rude. Rooms are dated - there is no pen/pencil or note pad to be found. Try other hotels. Much better amenities.
We were travelling to Vegas and I had a friend who recommended this hotel to me. I will tell you this... I can go to any hotel that I want to on my travels. This hotel treated me so good that I will return on my trip back to Florida. The staff from the General Manager to the Front Desk were exceptional.
THEY CHARGE FOR PARKING AND BREAKFAST!!! Watch out!!Booked this through AAA, since it was a recommended place to stay and seemed good for the total price, $153. Should have looked at the fine print because I wake up to a $10 parking fee and come to find out that breakfast is an additional $15 per adult and $9 for children. Literally every other holiday inn these are included as part of the stay.Besides these stupidly annoying hidden fees, room was clean and staff was friendly.
Excellent breakfast: Exceptional service, great value, a fine start to the day. Especially noted the restaurant staffs caring for the visiting nurses staying at the hotel. Missed a ten rating due to bar service not available even for take to room. Still a restful, trouble-free stay.
This is a nice hotel, that felt very safe and clean. It is centrally located to many areas in west Amarillo. I was disappointed that the coffee pot didnt work in the room but there was coffee at the desk in the lobby. There were also no dog poop bags in the dispenser, hence excessive poop on the grass area (not a one day oversight). Overall, the safety and cleanliness were most important factors.
Pros: customer service at breakfast was great. The food at breakfast was pretty good, but wouldn’t recommend if you have to pay more than $15 for it (we had a free coupon). Bed and pillows were comfortable.Cons: dirty bathroom and it had an odor (tub was disgusting), weak watered down coffee, coffee station needed to be cleaned (and if these things are dirty, imagine what you don’t see, ugh), they charge for breakfast and also for parking.
I absolutely LOVED my stay at this Holiday Inn. Josh Miller, the Chief, was especially nice to me and my dog Figaro. He brought Figaro treats on an almost daily basis. The bartender Amanda was great as well!Talk about AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! THEY TREAT EVERYONE THE SAME
Needles to say, they offer laundry service to the guests as an amenity, but only one washer and one dryer works. The washer was malfunctioning and it locked my clothes in there without allowing me to get them out. After contacting the front desk personally about the situation, I was told, I dont know what to tell you, I cant help you. Even if the issue with the washer wasnt remedied by the front desk, an attempt to try to help the guest would of been appreciated rather than a right off the bat I cant help you! without an attempt to help!! There are plenty of other places available in the vicinity that I would take a chance on hoping they dont treat their guests like this.
After a terrible experience at a nearby hotel we called this place and was able to book the very last room. We spoke with employee Carlos who was extremely helpful and cordial to us. This place was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Restaurant staff were equally as hospitable. Definitely recommend this place and will stay here again!
Everyone was very sweet and accommodating to the highest level, especially JP. We woke up and found out breakfast was closing in 2 mins and he just went above and beyond helping my husband when he was stressed trying to make sure he got food (That we already paid for) for all 4 of us in those 2 mins. He got him to-go containers, and was extremely friendly and made his day with his hospitality and friendly face first thing in the morning. On top of that, the hotel was very clean and relaxing.
Great property, great staff and the GM, John, runs a tight ship and goes out of his way to accommodate platinum members and all other guests. Everyone there is professional and courteous. Couldn’t ask to stay at a better property. Great location convenient to many restaurants and the Mall.
Positive: Pricey for what it offers. We got there around 10 pm after enduring a terrible storm for about 2 hrs. When we checked in the staff didnt seem to happy to see us checking in. Negative: Shower curtain was torn in two spots, only one tiny bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Server at the breakfast room told us in a very rude way that it was not included. We stayed and paid just because we were too tired to go somewhere else. Stinks bad.
Again some fumes etc in my room, similar to stuff at Marriott in santa fe, nm. Air quality meter was showing a reading and smell was present along with symptoms to note the problem. Room 203. My cars tire pressure was lowered etc. The front desk had no manager on task. White people at front desk etc but not sure about this one is run etc but a theme with my trying to stay in cleaner places recently to deal with moving after being threatened by white landlord on a street and area with bad reputation per other locals. Cease and desist.
After a 12-hour day of driving a huge U-Haul truck, I was worn out. The young lady at the desk checked me in quickly with a friendly attitude. Even though it was nearly 9:00 p.m., she told me that it was possible to order dinner to be delivered to my room. The restaurant was off site, but did many deliveries to the hotel. The food was excellent. My favorite thing was the bed and linens. There were wonderful pillows, the sheets were very soft and felt luxurious for the price of the room. I slept great in the bed and was well rested for the next days long drive.
I would highly recommend this hotel. It is clean and well maintained. The staff are professional and courteous. The general manager and front office manager were rock stars. They were so easy to work with. We had some inclement weather coming into town and I needed rooms for my front line workers to ensure care for our patients. The hotels management team could not have been more accommodating.
We have stayed here every time we come to Amarillo as they are pet friendly and it’s close and convenient to where we need to go. The lobby area is clean and nice. The rooms are for the most part well kept although you can tell in some of them they need updating or some minor maintenance. Although it is close to I40 (Soncy exit) it is very quiet and noise is very minimal which is always a plus. They do have breakfast but it is a sit down and pay breakfast, wish they had continental breakfast with fruit and small “grab and go” for us that don’t want a sit down breakfast or are on the road by 5-6 AM. This hotel is a good choice for a nice and quiet stay that won’t break the bank, it’s convenience to everything (including medical and hospitals) and well established.
This location was clean, had a comfy bed, and very polite and courteous staff. The Wifi was out for 2 days during my stay which I needed for work and the remote to the TV was so worn that the channels were very hard to change. Other than that it was a good experience.
I enjoyed my stay very much. I had planned to only be here a couple of nights, but a winter storm caused me to stay an extra night. Who can resist an extra day of relaxation? The room was very nice and clean. It had all the necessary amenities. The staff was very helpful when I had questions and made adding an extra night very easy. Their breakfast cafe provided a delicious breakfast. It is not complimentary, but I was grateful I was able to eat a hearty breakfast. There are a couple of restaurants, including a steakhouse, that are within walking distance. I was able to venture out and walk to get lunch and dinner. I definitely plan to stay here again the next time I visit Amarillo.
Ive stayed here several times and never had a problem. The staff is great, the rooms are clean and nice, and the pool is open again and also well maintained. The free wifi is terrible, but thats Hilton policy to try and get you to shell out $7 for decent wifi. So thats not their fault and not a reflection on this individual hotel. But, if youre dependent on wifi for any reason, its something to remember when you stay at any Hilton: they want to nickel and dime you on the wifi.
Our San Antonio Mustang Club selected this Hotel due to the proximity of the Palo Duro Canyons and Route 66 which we visited while there. The Staff was very friendly, the sale director helped up plan the event and the Breakfast was very good. Rooms and facility were very nice.
Have stayed at this hotel since it was new. It used too be the best everything. Good food, friendly helpful service, Accommodating bar. Now with masks I cannot understand what the staff are saying. Asked him to pull his mask down, said he couldnt do that. In addition brand restaurant are closed. Seemed to be a shortage of qualified help. The Governor has declared Texas open, yall need to comply or lose customers.
I used this hotel because there was no vacancy around there. It was midnight, so I needed to go to any hotel with my family. I paid for one night and used my free night reward for another night. Because I didnt see any information in my app, I asked the front staff to add my IHG number, but she (Dia) said that there was no way to add it. I didnt understand it. However, I thought that I will do it with the confirmation number later. When I checked out, I asked her to give the confirmation number, but she said that there was no confirmation number. Seriously??? By the way, more frustrating moment was that her reaction was very rude. My room number was 233, but she said to me, with 236, you dont have any receipt with Priceline. First, I didnt stay at 236 and I didnt use Priceline. I paid in front of her and I used my free night reward. I asked her name and she said Dia, saying that she was the manager of that hotel. So far, I didnt see any stays updates on my account, but it was terrible that she treated me very bad and rude. I will never come back to this hotel and I will not recommend this hotel. Dont go.
The rooms are a bit dated and tired. You can tell that everything is old, with years of use (and sometimes dirt on surfaces). The TV didnt work, but I was too tired to tell the overloaded front-desk staff about it - and didnt want to pack up and change rooms just for a TV. The staff were great! I appreciated their efforts to make me feel welcomed in the midst of craziness (and Thanksgiving night). The breakfast staff did an outstanding job of preparing and serving really good food!
Staff is friendly enough, not standout. the ceiling was leaking in places. the bathroom was not cleaned well. there is visible black mold in the shower. urine around the toilet hinges. hair on the floor that was in no way from us. and the drains were partially clogged. bed was comfortable. this location is not above 2, maybe 2.5 stars.
We stayed at this hotel on our way to Colorado and on our way back first time everything was great even though the shampoo and conditioner were half way used 👍 on our way back the restroon was DIRTYYY there was hair on the walls and it had something yellow on the walls god knows what that was 😂
Hotel is convenient off I40, but a little tricky to get to behind the other hotel. Hotel looks new and stylish. Did not like that you had to take the elevator to go up to the room as I prefer the stairs especially during COVID. Mask usage could have been better among the staff as they tended to keep it down until approached by someone. No room upgrade was available but, status was acknowledged with breakfast coupons. Overall a good stay while passing through.
Positive: Good location, clean, and friendly staff. Negative: Had to pay for parking in a regular hotel parking lot, which is bizarre. No added amenities, just an average parking lot. $10 for absolutely nothing. Also no place to plug in phone on nightstand. Small but important detail.
Checked in overwhelmed front desk person got to room open door smacked in the face with cigarette smell. I always take fabreeze and lysol still couldnt get it out. Smh went down for a drink no bartender just a good manager trying his best, burger gave me a stomach ache. Decided to leave early. Called a few days later to get A emailed receipt no luck was told by front desk to hold waited and waited no answer writing this message and still waiting. Smh very bad experience definitely not going back. Smh understaffed over worked underpaid ppl, room was in not the best shape not to bad for the price beside the experience. Lol lobby looks good👍 .
This was the worst hotel Ive stayed at in 2 years, front desk was poor, room was bad chair at desk felt like i was sitting on the floor. breakfast first morning it took 3 tries to get eggs over easy, second day computers were down had to charge to my room which caused problems too.
We arrived late after a long day or traveling. There were no towels, hand towels or wash cloths in the bathroom. The bath tub had hair in it and the front desk when asked about towels could only give me an excuse about Holiday Inn not providing wash cloths. I could really care less about what corporate can or can’t do. I just needed towels so we could shower. The bath tub was nasty. I don’t even want to think about the bed sheets.
The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Both of the room card keys worked sporadically. The front desk came up to the room to clean the key card reader but that did not help at all. Clean bathroom and towels with plenty of supplies, the bed linens were clean and well made, the room walls and doors were scuffed and chipped (dingy). We requested a few more hanger and the front desk brought them up.
Was okay with the room, woke up with a $10 parking fee slid under my door just for using the parking lot. All the other rooms had them as well. Thats ridiculous. Will never stay here again. Was going to eat breakfast here but didnt... Because who knows what other fees will pop up, maybe a fee for using their restaurant table and chair.
Positive: Staff was excellent, room was clean and bed was comfortable.. they don¿t have a comp breakfast but those are never top notch anyway Negative: Umm nothing negative without having to nit pick .. there were 2 motorcycles that parked right by the door making it difficult for a handicapped person to get through but that was the thoughtless bikers and not the hotels fault
It was a very nice hotel Big clean rooms Nevertheless after paying a $158 for a rum dollars for a rum you expect to have a free breakfast they have a free breakfast thats not the case you had you had to pay $14.99 I find thats a shame . Other than that then you have to deal with big bugs running around your room Are you kidding me Wont be staying here anymore
So we stayed here on our way to Arizona. We were given our room and of course, the toilet was working. Asked the desk clerk for another room and was told they were completely booked. He would call maintenance in. I think the reason they were booked is because they had medical personnel from the hospital staying there with busses transporting them back and forth. Had we known, probably would have stayed someplace else. I dont need what their treating. We went a had dinner and a 1 1/2 hours later, asked when the maintenance man would be here. The desk clerk stated he has not returned my call but conveniently, he had a key on the counter for another room. I guess if we wouldnt have asked, he would have never told us.
After paying for an executive and walking in to a room that smelled like someone had smoked in there. My wife and I don’t smoke which made it uncomfortable. The bathroom had issues with toilet flushing and rust on bottom of tub. Not ideal for us in an upgraded room. Room 102 to be exact.
Staff is pleasant, covid safety is good and the rooms are clean and comfortable!!! The only problems we have encountered was room key didnt work first time trying it and was told breakfast was included with the stay and found out later it wasnt... no big deal, overall stay was great!!! Need to add medical to the survey as reason of stay, after all it is called Holiday Inn Medical!

2022-02-09This place was amazing. The staff the hotel and amenities. I sat down and ordered wings fries and a alcoholic drink. It was under $23. The bartender and the manager were both amazing. All of the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. I ended my stay with an amazing breakfast. The breakfast prices were very cheap and the food was really good. Hands down the best Holiday Inn I have stayed in.

2021-12-28This hotel is pretty dated and you can smell that as soon as you step into the room. We didn’t really have any issues with our stay, just expected more from the Holiday Inn chain. The mattress was pretty worn and the door was very hard to push open because of the carpet for some reason. They do have multiple Tesla chargers and were decorated nicely for the holidays.

2022-06-05By a long shot the best Holiday Inn I’ve stayed at. The hotel is very well decorated and clean with good amenities. Room was spotless. Also, the lady working the desk (Virginia I believe was her name) went above and beyond to assist us - we had an issue booking through Booking.com which was a super pain to get squared away, and which she held no obligation to help us out, but she did anyway. That speaks volumes in my book. So kudos to the team and management - especially her for being so professional and helpful!

2022-07-07Price was decent. Check in was easy. They were out of cups at the complimentary coffee/water station in the lobby, asked at the front desk and they made no effort to find more. The ac made the carpet soaking wet, had to move the beds to be able to scoot the couch over enough to open up the couch bed for use, could see it had been done many times before. No fan in the bathroom. When I had booked was it had continental breakfast offered, but when we showed up in the morning it cost 12.99 per adult. Overall less then impressed.

2022-06-15Family stayed here for a few days on their way on a summer trip. Since their room did not include breakfast, they chose to dine at the hotel restaurant instead of going out. This was a great decision! Benerdette Bernie is a wonderful waitress who takes great care of each of her guests. Our family felt at home, their drinks are never empty, and they feel very cared for. Chef D made sure each dish was hot, plentiful, and delicious! He visited our table and a few other customers to make sure the guests needs are met. These are the quality folks that makes Amarillo a great place to visit.

2021-12-28Staff was rude, rooms were small and not very clean, stain on the sheets. Not worth the price at all. They refused to give me a refund or any assistance at all after messing up my booking. I had called ahead three times to assure my request of a first floor room could be accommodated and was assured it could each time. Then I arrived after a long day of travel and it was not available. Staff member did not care, didn’t offer any compensation or even an apology or kind words. Morning staff was the same. I requested the manager call me since they weren’t available upon check out. Staff took my number and I never received a call. Don’t waste your money here. I stayed at a 2-star hotel in the same town with much better value and WAY better staff and management.

2022-02-28This hotel is in great location in Amarillo. Its near the cinema, other restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel , the Amarillo mall is right across on interstate 40. So yes great location , but they do not offer continental breakfast or complementary breakfast. U have to pay for the buffet , which is 12:99 per person. Sleep was good not great, staff were not as friendly as most holiday inn hotels iv stayed in the past . I paid way more for this stay than Ive paid for in the past way more , thanks again holiday inn, maybe next time I will get a discount with my stay. Or Continental breakfast. It some vouchers for discount. ..

2022-01-25I had to come into town from California and I booked a 4 night stay at the hotel for me, my daughter and her dog. She had lost her boyfriend unexpectedly and staying at her house was not an option. John Ewing the manager was AMAZING. Everytime he would see one of us he always asked if there was anything he could do for us and understood what we were both going through. He even saw us checking out and wished us the best. He is a great manager. All the staff was really nice and the place was clean. I would definitely stay there again if I had to. Thank you

2022-05-01This is supposedly a full service Hotel which means they have a restaurant and a bar. Restaurant was not open the evening we were there because there was a wedding. We tried to book on line but our phone went dead so we decided we would just check for a reservation when we arrived. Being handicapped, I need a bathtub. This seems to be a problem at a lot of Holiday Inns. The front desk is always unclear if they have a room available with a bathtub. Front desk didnt tell us that we had to pay higher price to get free breakfast. I just wish we would have been informed when we booked. I have stayed in Holiday Inns for over 50 years. We were moving our grand daughter home from Fort Carson, Colorado where her husband is stationed in the military and we had their dog. They had stayed here before with their dog so that is why we chose this hotel rather than the Holiday Inn Express nearby. So we learned something with this stay. My husband spoke with front desk clerk and we did eat breakfast.

2021-12-18My family and I left Las Vegas to move to Texas, our pit stop was Amarillo Texas where we stayed at the Holiday Inn for nineteen days. Ray, Carlos, Allison, the manager Chris, and the housekeeping staff made us feel like we finally found home! The rates were great and anything we needed they were there for us! We have a pup that they showed hospitality to her and she loved it. I was very much so homesick, yet you couldnt tell because of all the love this staff showed me and my family. I would absolutely recommend staying here especially for the customer service. Our rooms were always clean, the housekeeping staff let us use the vacuum as much as we wanted, and they gave us what we needed! To the staff, my family, and I want to thank you all for making us feel so welcomed during our stay with you guys, you all made us feel like we were family and for that, we appreciate you all. Thank you!
