First, staff was excellent to work with and they treated me like a valued customer. They worked with the group I was with while riding in Hill country. However, the office area only had one computer which meant waiting for whoever was using it to finish before I could. I dont mind waiting, but being on the top floor and to keep coming down to the first floor was a pain. Secondly, the hot tub was full of plant matter and berries from the local trees. I and others joined in and cleaned it the best we could so it was usable. Lastly, the breakfast selection left me wanting a McDonalds sausage biscuit.
This facility is perfectly located in Kerrville. Parking is excellent and the rooms are a little dated but clean and spacious. Cleaning staff are excellent and the bathrooms are spotless. The only issues I had was the lack of mask wearing by the staff and Paula not attempting to honor my request to be placed on the top floor. I am an Spire Elite member and 9 out of 10 times when I make a reasonable request to be accommodated to the top floor my request is honored. I guess this was my one out of the ten.Breakfast was organized well stocked and we had an option of a hot breakfast made to order. I will be coming back because the value is excellent and I love the location.
So glad their hot breakfast is being provided again. However, hot oatmeal only on Sat and Sun. Very friendly staff and excellent service. Only complaint is because of lack of insulation between our room and upstairs room - could hear footsteps quite noticeably - I guess people dont realize their floor is someone elses ceiling! King bed very comfortable and suite provides plenty of room. Also, wish the ventilation fan in bathroom wasnt always activated with the light switch.
I was bitten over 35 times during my stay by bed bugs. The room also had water damage to ceiling and walls. The room I was moved to after my attack also had water damage to ceiling along with a rusted bath drain. Older gentleman that worked the breakfast lobby was observed handling food products without gloves on. Never touched the bread section after that. I was promised 25k additional points to my rewards account which I never received. I did receive a discount on my stay. Would like to know when I can see the 25k points added to my account. Team members were great during my stay and were the only positive experience that I had.
We drove down a day early for a celebration and to relax after a long week before going to this event. Was able to relax and rest in the room with no interruptions except for housekeeping seeing if we needed service. We declined, but was able to get fresh towels that we needed by the friendly staff. Building was quiet, clean and staff was friendly. Pool area looked like a great place to hang out at. Great to see hot breakfast served again. We will stay here again when in this area.
While taking shower, observed ants in the wall of the bathroom. Spoke to the front desk and applied some insecticides. Later saw ants in the room also. Initially didnt want to change the room since we had already unpacked. However, had to change the room around 11 pm in the night since there were lot of ants at various places inside the room. Front desk lady was very nice and provided another room. Overall, the stay was uncomfortable considering we just came for a night and that too had to change the room after a few hours. Breakfast was very good. Housekeeping should inform the management if they observe ants in rooms so that these rooms are not assigned to guests.
Best Holiday Inn Express Ive ever stayed at. The front desk lady was exceptional. I had bought salad for dinner and stored it in the fridge. The fridge had no adjustment for temp, but did have a freezer section, however the fridge froze everything, salads and tea completely froze. I explained what happened, not really expecting much to be done, just letting her know and venting mostly. She took it upon herself to contact the GM and they ordered me a Ceasar salad from a nearby Italian restaurant and had it delivered to me! This was way above and beyond and really really appreciated. Not to mention the rooms are HUGE and the pool/hot tub area is really the best hotel pool Ive seen at an express. You wont regret staying here!
Pleasantly surprised at the condition and cleanliness of the property. Most professional check in I’ve ever had. The pool was nice and the hot tub was great. A few too many bugs and debris in the pool but otherwise a plus. The only issue we had was that there were no bottled water available anywhere in the hotel, not even the vending machines. We ended up getting water from the gym area cooler that was available. I would stay here again anytime as I’m sure the water situation was a one off.
We have stayed in several hotels in Kerrville and this seems to be by far the best one. The property and rooms are updated, roomy, clean and comfortable. Our room had a balcony overlooking the Texas shaped pool and spa. We could sit outside on the balcony and enjoy the view as we chatted and sipped coffee or wine. The hotel offers a hot breakfast plate in addition to some grab and go items. Many hotels only offer coffee and possibly cold packaged items at this time of Covid.
The bathroom situation in our room was not good. Several tiles in front of the shower and toilet were completely loose. The shower itself was only 5 foot or possibly less. The bathtub had been resurfaced or painted and portions were peeling. What management allows such plumbing to be done to their property - incredible. We stayed only because we were too tired to look for something else. The cleanliness was good and overall service OK and so was the breakfast considering the pandemic, however the bathroom was just crazy. We told the front desk upon leaving and hopefully this is corrected. I certainly would expect IHG management to inspect all rooms for similar bathroom conditions and make repairs as I suspect our room was not the only one at this location with such a bad bathroom.
2 friends and I planned a weekend getaway to just relax and visit the Cross in Kerrville, and do some shopping. We were able to check in early, the room was nice and clean, the the bed was amazingly comfortable. The staff were friendly, especially the lady in the diner at breakfast. She was very helpful and attentive. I am happy this place was recommended to me, and I would definitely recommend it to someone else.
I stayed for a business trip and it was a great hotel. I love that the stay earns you points through IHG. The tv did not have a guide menu so the only option was to flip through and see what was on each channel which took a while. Other than that the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
As an IHG premeire member from work travel, I have seen many of their properties. This location is hands down the most run down abd disappointing. Room and beds are clean, thats where the good ends. With my wife and kids on this trip, I took the kids around the hotel, my youngest first hotel stay. The disrepair I found in my room is across the entire facility. Examples: wall hvac bearings, toilet filler that never stops, tub needs recaulking, new shower valves needed, valve handle and spout protruding from the wall with gaps, floor feels hollow and some sort of salt film on all of the windows and our room has a gap in the door you can see through! Outside the room: musty smell throughout, vending machines broken, stairway not clearly marked (or vacuumed, full of dead crickets and beetles). I own and maintain a pool twice this size and I know that its past the local swim season but pool maint is crucial to cleanliness and longevity. Walking the grounds, there are plants that need attention, spare pieces of rooms in the courtyard, dead bugs everywhere with ants on them, generally just run down. So I inspect the pool and hot tub. Pool is dirty to be nice about it, hot tub smells like chloramines but is somewhat warm. A view from second floor stairway entrance shows filter and pump area with DE bags broke open and exposed, liquide chlorine bottles exposed to sun along with clutter I could not identify. Whoever is managing and maintaining this property has been failing and for quite some time. I will be sending this along as it does not represent IHG property expectations.
When traveling I usually look for a Holiday Inn Express. One can depend on the fact that the rooms will be clean, the beds will be comfortable, the staff will be accommodating and the continental breakfast will be fresh and the coffee hot. Holiday Inn Express delivers on all levels at an affordable price.
Hotel was clean and front desk young man was super nice! My daughter swam, but we forgot her swimsuit there. Called about 12 hrs later to go back to pick it up and it was not brought to lost and found. We live close so I just needed to run back to the hotel to grab it. I hope that housecleaning will return my daughters things.
I was up there for a big car show in Luckenbach and made my reservation in Kerrville. I have great memories their with family and friends. We would come every summer and stay at Kerrville State Park. Things have changed but it’s still beautiful territory and I will definitely stay at this Holiday Inn again.
Upon checkin, the hotel insisted they had no record of my request for a handicap room. The toilet was the lowest toilet I have ever seen, and I was thankful that I was not traveling alone, as I would not have even been able to use it without accessible accommodations. We were given a room with no toilet paper, used masks lying out, and only a couple of clean towels. I am not sure our room had even been completely cleaned. The night clerk was never available, and you had to yell repeatedly to get his attention. There were several times that numerous guests were lined up, and he was just sitting in the back. We are frequent travelers and always stay at IHG properties. I have never had a stay this bad, and will drive further down the road to stay the next time I am in the area.
To start, the only reason this review has stars at all is because of Michelle at the front desk being extremely nice and helpful. However, as of July 2021 this hotel has a HUGE ant infestation that carries from the parking lot to the rooms. We had about 12 people staying in various rooms on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors. We all experienced ants in our rooms. And in the CARS. We are in town for a family members passing and are supposed to be heading to the memorial, but as told by the GM that they are not responsible for anything happening in their parking lot we are at the car wash trying to clean everything out by hand. There was no food in the CARS although, even if there was when has that EVER happened? We literally will have to bomb the car. We also did bring our closed contained treats inside that we had, TO THE 3RD FLOOR, and were infested by morning. GM still said there was nothing he could do. Never even came out to meet face to face, just had Michelle up there trying her hardest to contain the MULTIPLE families complaining about this. The picture is AFTER we have cleaned. Took a drive and more came out
Wife wanted a place to rest and much needed sleep but noise in floor above prevented us from having that requested top floor but could not provide. Room was not cleaned between days stay , no spare toilet paper roll in bathroom , had to ask for top comforter to be changed torn and bundled up inside liner should have been thrown away and not used on any bed. Not enough towels left in room had to ask for more, broken foot stool in room one leg broken . No tissues in room, front desk under staffed or no one there to help during day.
We stayed one night in Kerrville. The arrival was good, but upon inspecting the bathroom we noticed the floor tiles were very loose. Additionally the bathtub was painted badly and several portions were already peeling. To top it all off the shower itself was extremely low only adequately for a 4 ft person. It was obvious that repairs had been attem[pted and not properly suprvised by management.
Staff is outstandingRoll-In shower is greatRoom is very dark needs more lighting and updating.Maintenance is below standard - toilet seat was broken, there is no USB port, bathroom is dark (could not see to shave), This was the only room with a roll-in shower, and it was overpriced and charged as a suite. This descriminates against handicapped people.
Staff is rude and unprofessional. Some how out last night there was canceled without us knowing. Staff is always on break witnessed some of them drinking and using drugs on the job. Ask for toilet paper and never got it so we had to go by our own. Housekeeping entered our room and cleaned when we said we didnt need anything. Even folded our clothing like they had went though our things. Many other things.
Bathroom was dirtyHair everywhere. Everything had dust on it. The room was not a healthy room. Old food had been left in fridge. We had to dust, clean floor and spray with Lysol. The bathtub was dirty, stained and lots of hair. We did not use the tub. Breakfast just ok. Really disappointing.
Well, I should not complain, but new mattresses are extra firm (too firm), and the pillows are an equal mix of gigantic firm and limp as a noodle soft. I figured out by the second day, that if I set the room heater/AC fan to constantly on, I didnt hear it switch on periodically all night. Otherwise, I enjoyed the room layout and the view out the balcony, the television service was great, and the Internet connection was good. The breakfast options were great, and I overheard other patrons enjoying things that I did not try. Good job.
The first night was alright. The hotel could be cleaner. I didn’t like that it’s a shareable soap and shampoo. But it was a warm room. The second night the hotel was without power. I arrived after working 12 hours at the hospital and the doors were closed. I knocked on the door and no response. Another patron arrived and opened the doors. I told the gentleman at the desk I would be leaving bc of the outage. I asked if I would get a refund for the night, he assured me I would. That did not happen. I also seemed to leave my purse there. I called the customer service line and made a report to make sure I would get it back. Thankfully, I did get my purse back with everything in it. I was not impressed how this outage was handled. I will never stay at this Holiday Inn again.
Overall, this is a nice hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the pool area was kept up reasonably well, and most of the staff members went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We loved the balcony overlooking the pool, and we never heard any noise, despite facing the pool and a busy highway. With that said, the bottom of the pool is quite rough and could benefit from resurfacing (perhaps during the off season), and the chemical level in the hot tub seemed unusually high, though I know sometimes this is necessary in a hot tub. Also, the gentleman who worked the front desk in the mornings was unpleasant and rude on more than one occasion. One day, he was exiting the elevator as we were entering. My wife said excuse me, and he just gave her a look of disgust. Then, when we checked out, he simply took our keys and presented a receipt without saying a word. There was no thank you, no inquiry about our stay, nothing. Every other staff member was pleasant and helpful, but his rudeness was our final impression as we left the hotel, and I knocked a star off of what would have been a five star rating as a result of this experience. I hope he will receive some customer service training or perhaps seek out a new line of work if he doesnt enjoy talking to people. That said, our stay was mostly a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
From the moment I checked into the hotel until I checked out, I was disappointed. Upon arrival, the front desk personnel was less than pleasant. I was not told the room number or information regarding breakfast or wi-fi. I was simply handed the room card. The room was spacious. However, there was a large, very noticeable crack in the corner of the wall. The bathtub was very slippery as if it had not been cleaned properly. The mattress was very soft to the point that we sunk to the middle of the bed and our heads were lower than our feet. We planned to stay for two nights but checked out after one night. The front desk staff appeared to not care one way or the other. I would not recommend this hotel.
Very nice hotel with spacious rooms. Sunday hot breakfast was very nice with an attendant keeping the area spotless and replenishing the food quickly. We recommend the hotel. I do recommend that the front desk will have access to a spare hair dryer! The hair dryer in our very nice bathroom, burned out while I was drying my hair. When my husband went downstairs to get a replacement (after phoning to the desk) it turned out the front desk person could not get one because the managers office was locked.???? So there I was drying my hair over the heater.
The house cleaning lady was nice, the servers at breakfast were polite and attentive, was not to happy with the front desk clerks, normally those folks are the nicest but not this location for some reason .didnt greet you , Thank you , bid you fare well/ nothingproperty was clean and comfortable
I was a little apprehensive about staying in a hotel during the pandemic. My mind was set at ease when I not only saw but could also smell the cleanliness of the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room, which had a balcony overlooking the pool, and also an extra area, with a sofa and a second television. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were nice and clean.
We really enjoyed the hotel. The staff very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious. We loved the Texas shaped pool and hot tub. We stayed on the 2nd floor and there was a lot of noise in the middle of the night with people walking above us. We would stay on the top floor next time to avoid that. Also, the air conditioner kept cycling on and off, which each time it went off, I woke up. But other than that, we did love our stay.
The staff at the Kerrville TX Holiday Inn Express always goes beyond expectations. When finding out a family member who smokes has diabetes complications they not only changed him from the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor but also upgraded him to a room with a balcony so that he wouldnt have to go all the way out of the hotel. And they even gave me access to the room before their arrival in order to set up a little Christmas tree for them. Ive always received excellent service at every Holiday Inn that Ive stayed at.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, but be advised that the breakfast is VERY different because of covid. There were hardly any choices at all, and the only hot item was pre-packaged sausage biscuits, but there were only about 4 out at a time, so most of our group never got any. There needs to be more hot choices. Also, one of our favorite things are the cinnamon rolls, so please find a way to pre-package them so that we can continue to enjoy them.
There was standing water in the bathtub of the first room we were given. The staff immediately gave us a new room and upgraded us to a suite (which we did not ask for). Both rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. It is Texas and there is humidity so there was some mildew in the bathrooms (in both rooms) but nothing extensive. The pool was clean and there were kids out there enjoying it with their parents. There are vending machines, ice machines and an exercise room on the second floor. All were in excellent working condition. Its not a luxury resort but I would recommend this hotel (and will be staying again) when in town for short stays.
The property was very nice and could tell it had been renovated. We enjoyed a very spacious mini-suite. Being on the first floor meant we could hear the guests above us walking every step plus the floor creaked as they walked across their room. No other objections. Staff was very friendly and helpful. In particular, Becky who managed breakfast service was very friendly and gave us a lot of good info about the area in addition to personally serving us at breakfast.
From the moment we walked in we enjoyed our experience. The front desk attendant was very friendly. There were fresh cookies and coffee including pumpkin spice creamer. What a treat. Our room was fantastic. It even had a ceiling fan and a balcony. Everything was clean and in good order. The breakfast options were great and the breakfast attendant was so nice and helpful. What a great staff and well managed hotel!
This hotel is only 20 miles from Fredericksburg. We stayed here because it was hard to find a room in Fredericksburg. However we absolutely loved our stay here. The hotel is nice and clean. The staff was so friendly. Our room was so spacious and clean. We were so comfortable. We definitely plan on staying there again next time we come to Fredericksburg.
The hotel looks very nice from the outside, however, the rooms are very poor quality. Towels were old, I have nicer rags at home, they had holes in them, just falling apart. There were ants in the bathroom, the a/c unit did not cool the room enough to sleep comfortably, the temperature inside the room was about 77 degrees at the coolest, the ceiling fan made a constant clicking noise so I had to turn it off to sleep, you could hear everyone above you so you could not sleep until they were done for the night, even though there is a State mandate to wear masks in the premises, the front desk guy did not wear one at all. We were supposed to spend 4 nights but decided to check out earlier because of all these issues.
My wife, kids and I stay here frequently when we visit and it is definitely a great place to stay. My kids enjoy their breakfast which is good (but could be made better with some hash browns or potatoes). There is a decent variety of items, drinks, fruits and cereals which is nice, and there is plenty of room to sit and eat. The hotel is always clean, the employees are very friendly and helpful if you need anything, and the location is perfect (not too far off the highway). Rooms are always clean and spacious, the pool is nice, and there is a small workout room for those who desire to exercise every morning. Great job everyone for making our stays great!
This was my 3rd stay at this property in the last year and half. It is easy to get to and well maintained. Unfortunately, this visit, there was a girls softball team staying directly above me and they made so much noise it was impossible to sleep. I understand that it is not the fault of the hotel - just unfortunate timing. It sounded like they were doing aerobics all night and again early in the morning. Due to COVID the breakfast choices arent great. Again, no fault of the hotel. Some day soon, hopefully, life will return to some degree of normal.
Great place to stay right off the interstate with plenty of restaurants close by. The common area in rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. I even received an email from the manager after my stay making sure all my needs were met. Now thats great customer service.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The room was very spacious and very clean. Bathroom was also really nice, good water pressure in three shower. Our only complaint is that during Covid19 they have almost completely eliminated their breakfast options. I cant eat gluten so I usually enjoy the hot eggs, meat, and fruit that would usually be available. During our stay they only offered cereal and packaged muffins, which I cant eat. Pretty disappointing. Also, the vending machines only take cash and the ones on the second floor are broken.
Upon our arrival we were little worried to what we where going to be able to do or find (due to COVID restrictions). The hotel exceed our expectations the rooms where very clean and spacious (for a family of 5), the swimming pool area was nice and the personnel was following the CDC guidelines. We had the opportunity to visit Louise Park we recommend it 100%, and also we visit the town Fredericksburg it was a nice experience.
Our room was very comfortable & we had a great stay, except for the breakfast. Disappointed that they only had cold items and that they put so little effort into breakfast since Covid. Individually wrapped egg tacos or egg bites would have been great. We didnt care for anything they had to offer for breakfast & had to go out for breakfast. This, of course, increases our travel expense.
I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express in Kerrville, Texas! We have been staying at this property a couple of times per year since 2014 and I have selfishly not written a review because I was afraid I would not be able to get a reservation when I needed one! The staff at this property has always been extremely accommodating and some of the staff during my recent stay in March 2020 were recognized by me as having been employed at the property since I first started visiting. That, in and of itself, speaks volumes for the management at this property. The rooms and the entire property are always clean, well maintained, and housekeeping never misses a beat with towels and supplies for the bathroom. A special shout out to one of the desk clerks, Betina, who went above and beyond during our last visit in March 2020 (at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic no less) to ensure that our needs at the hotel were met. The staff running the breakfast does a great job and even unexpectedly offers to clear your place of used plates/cups. Sadly, I will no longer be visiting Kerrville as my family member who resided in town has moved. I have stayed at several Holiday Inn Express properties since 2014 but none have been able to meet the standards I have consistently experienced at this location. When looking for accommodations in Kerrville, do not hesitate to book your stay here!
Customer service has really slipped during these difficult times. Attendants arent willing to help. Either to keep their equipment available to guests, or with breakfast services. You get left to fend for yourselves while they run out of items and present what they have. Theyre willing to take your money but only offer minimal effort.
Great location close to everything in Kerrville. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. The food choices for breakfast were good and varied. The room was very large and had everything you could possibly need. Only two minor complaints - the A/C heater unit was older and controlled at the under-window unit. A cold front came in, and the unit was very hard to regulate. It was either too hot or not warm enough. Also, light so many hotels around the country, all the fixtures had very dim CFL bulbs in them, pretty much not enough light to even read in bed. Other than that, I highly recommend this property - the staff is outstanding.
I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel...everything from the minute we walked in the door to checkout was completely perfect! The room was extremely clean and updated! We have stayed at several hotels in Kerrville and this was the first one that checked every box! And did I mention the super cool Texas shaped pool?!?! And as a bonus they offer a fabulous complimentary breakfast with many choices including freshly made pancakes, bacon, eggs, a variety of breads, fruits, juices and cereals!!!! The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home!!!
Stopped here on our way back from the coast. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Used the pool and hot tub. Hot tub felt wonderful. Pool was lovely, but needed to be cleaned. We travel to this area a few time a year and always stay at HIE. Did not eat breakfast this time, but it looked like they made some improvements and changed things up a bit!
Such a cute little hotel with a fantastic breakfast. Ive never seen a hotel offer biscuits and gravy. I was sold. The staff was nice. The room was HUGE. I couldve done cartwheels! Comfortable bed and nice accommodations. I appreciated my stay. I ate at a restaurant nearby 10 min away on the water which was also phenomenal - 1011 Bistro. Overall a great trip.
My wife and I were in the Kerrville, TX area for house / property hunting. We always stay at IHG properties and the Kerrville Holiday Inn Express is one of the reasons why. It is a very clean property the exceeds the high standards of IHG. However, what really makes this property so special is the hotels staff. Nancy is the manager and under her leadership, she has created a wonderful staff that is friendly and always eager to help to make your stay perfect. Chrystal is the Head of House Keeping. Under her leadership, her staff makes sure that the rooms are totally clean and well stocked. She is great! At the last afternoon of our stay, we found the perfect property and immediately started negotiations. Soon, I realized that we needed to extend our stay. I called Danial at the front desk for help. In less than a minute, our stay was extended and we had enough time to complete the negotiations and purchase the property. Thank you Danial! The bottom line is that the Kerrville Holiday Inn Express is a perfect example of why I am and will continue to be a loyal IHG customer. Thank you for a fantastic stay! We will be back!
Traveled to Kerville for a class and needed a place to spend the night before. Reviews and location looked good for this Holiday Inn, so I went with it.Room is very spacious - It is just the one room, but theres some separation between the beds and living/office area. Theres also a balcony, which was a nice bonus. The room was clean and everything was in good shape. A/C maintained good temperature control and the shower had good water temperature/pressure that was easy to set as I wanted. The shower head itself is a little low, which seems very common for some reason. Im not a tall fellow, but the shower head was about at my forehead height. Still, perfectly functional.Breakfast area looked like a good space and would normally have a nice selection of hot foods. Current COVID restrictions had them limited to prepackaged items like cereal and some fruits. The hotel is pretty close to I-10, but with the door closed, I didnt hear any traffic, even with the room facing toward it.One bit of caution, the place was a bit difficult to find, especially coming in at night. Its back away from the road. Theres a Cracker Barrel out in front thats easier to see. If you reach the Cracker Barrel coming from I-10, youve just passed the entrance.Overall, a nice space to relax in.
We stayed three nights, and really enjoyed our stay. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive, especially the breakfast staff. The breakfast was great every morning. The swimming pool is really nice. The only issue we reported resolved itself quickly. The wifi wasnt very good in our room, possibly because we were at the far end of the hotel, but we didnt report it because we werent on our phones that much. I had no problem accessing the internet on my laptop. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and when we come back to Kerrville we will stay here again.
I recently had a one-night stay at this property. Its not easy to find - I drove by it twice, even with GPS! Still, I had a room with 2 Queen Beds and it was very spacious for my family of 3. Wi-Fi was very good - and free. Breakfast choices were standard fare. Staff was very good about keeping the food stocked and, more importantly, keeping the area clean.Rooms felt a bit dated, but overall it was standard for this mid-range property. Bed and pillow were very comfy.
This hotel is clean, but is older and in need of some repair (ceilings peeling, etc.). There is a very musty smell throughout the hotel, especially once you head toward the rooms, leaving the lobby, and inside of the room. The beds are comfortable. The staff was friendly.
The hotel smells clean. Especially important right now! Breakfast, obviously limited due to COVID but will not take points off because the hotel is taking necessary precautions to limit exposure. Coffee available and packages breakfast items. The pool was open, and the areas were clean. The hotel felt fresh and clean. Thank you for taking the extra steps to keep your guest safe.
Breakfast not available till time they sure to. Bathroom had mold on shower and on ceiling. Room smelled very musty and had an odd odor. Front desk only spoke if they had to, no information of the facility was explained. Just handed me my key card. If your stopping to just shower and sleep to move on it is ok. But like I did I had my family and was visiting family. I would not stay again.
Front desk staff very friendly and accommodating to our needs. The breakfast staff was exceptional workers, there was a older gentalman and an older lady, both very friendly and kept the breakfast bar clean, organized and well stocked. My husband and I are both professionals that manage employees and we were very impressed how well the staff managed their departments and took pride in their work. We wish we could bottle the hospitality we were shown while staying three night in the Kerrville Holiday Inn Express. We stayed in a king suite and the bed and pillows were so comfortable we wanted to take them home with us but they wouldnt fit on the motorcycle. We had a relaxing time and enjoyed our stay.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was modern and clean. The room was large and comfortable. We arrived at shift change and the employees state to complete check in. The breakfast area was also clean and the staff kept the the serving area clean and the food fresh. They also kept the tables clean and were very courteous to the guests. We plan to stay at this hotel again and will recommend it to those traveling with us. The parking area was well lit and clean with a security fence around the property.
We were not nearly as comfortable with our Kerrville stay as we have been with our previous Holiday Inn Express stays. We use HIEx exclusively and we did not get that comfortable feel here. It seemed that the hotel was either very old, or had once been another chain and refurbished as a HIEx. Just didnt feel comfortable. HIEx needs to accommodate older visitors with rooms that afford them the amenities they need.
We have stayed at this location many times and many years in a row. Its always been one of our favorites but this year it felt like a totally different place. We had a corner room (3rd floor) and didnt have as nice a view as in the past from the balcony, which we love. The room was not as nice and tidy as in the past; there needs to be more attention to the bathroom - we all know lint collects and it hadnt been cleaned thoroughly for some time. The beds were not as neat as previously - made too quickly and not tidied before the reservation. The guest laundry is always a nice perk and its right down the hallway. However, a total cleaning has not been done there for some time - should be weekly or so at least? The detergent dispenser was awful so makes you think about the balance of the machines. Anyway, they are still welcome. The breakfast was excellent and the hostess (and host) were most friendly and accommodating. We hope to stay again in the future and see improvements with housekeeping.
The hotel seemed packed to capacity due to a college graduation. Breakfast was served from 6:30 - 9:30, but when we arrived in the breakfast area at 8:45, there was nothing left except some prepackaged muffins. We were at the hotel 3 mornings, but we’re never able to eat there because of the lack of food.
This hotel is a very nice hotel in and of itself. It is clean, spacious, and has a very nice pool/hot tub and atrium area outside. Breakfast is very good too. But the crown jewel of this hotel is the Staff. We came in late the first night and the front desk attendant already had our paperwork ready and we were in our room less than 5 minutes after we drove up. Our room was right by the housekeeping department, so we passed the housekeepers in the hallway when we were coming and going. Every one of them would greet us and smile each time we passed. Our housekeeper was super pleasant. All the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. They were all willing to tell us about the local attractions. The breakfast attendants were very attentive and greeted everyone. I dont think we ran into any staff member who did not genuinely greet us. I can not say enough good things about the staff here.
Our stay started out nice, we came back to our room for the evening, enjoyed the pool, took showers, then got ready to relax in the beds, and that’s when our night turned for the worse. A BUG (after research looks like a baby bed bug 😳) was crawling near the pillow, I smashed, then another one was crawling. I immediately went downstairs, where my one daughter had to call the front desk phone to even get the clerk to come to the desk to help us. When he came out he acted like it was no big deal when I showed him the picture of the bug in the bed and actually even told us they have had pest control come out because of BUGS in some of the hotel rooms, and it’s still a problem!!!! Who tells customers these things??? The clerk did give us another room, so we moved into it a little after midnight, to find what???? ANTS in this room by the windows, at this point after moving into the second room of the night, I had enough. I got all our stuff together and took my family up to the desk with me to once again the clerk wasn’t at the desk 🤦🏼♀️ When he did appear he didn’t seem to care that the second room had ants either. I told him at this point I know I’m going to lose my points I used for the room, but sure hope they will refund me my money I paid for a room we couldn’t even enjoy because of the issues. He stated I will leave a note for my manager to refund the points and the amount you paid for the room. Hopefully I will get a follow up from the manager as to what they are going to do, and hopefully their pest control company does right by them, as this is a nice hotel, and the pool area is amazing. Would really hate to see them lose business in the future over a pest control issue.
We travel to the area a few times a year and always stay at this hotel. In the past, the front desk staff have not always been very friendly. However, with this stay all the staff we encountered were wonderful! We appreciated that there were a few vegetarian items to choose from at breakfast. The mattress left us a little sore, but its hard to find a mattress to please everyone. The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable! We always request the third floor. We were disappointed that the hot tub was having some issues, so we didnt get to use it, but these things happen. For some reason we were not able to use our reward points for this stay. We greatly enjoyed out time here!
My family and I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Kerrville, TX. We traveled with out 4 year old son and 4 month old daughter. We drove 10 hours to visit family and arrived a few hours earlier than check in. We were tired and wanted to rest. I called the hotel and the front desk was able to get us in earlier! We were very happy about this! They were very understanding and went out of their way to make something happen for us. This is an statement to the great customer service this location has. The room and beds were extremely comfortable. At times it seemed like we were the only ones at the hotel as we could not hear anyone from any other room. This was great, especially at time of going to sleep. Room service was good as our belongings were never disrupted by them. Our beds were made and our room was cleaned every time they came. The breakfast was great, too! There was always plenty of food and coffee throughout breakfast time. Breakfast times were also great for those that do not like to wake up super early to find good breakfast rations. The parking area was lite very well and I did not feel unsafe at any point during our stay, even when we arrived after dark. We did not get to use the pool, as our stay was during late fall, but the pool area looked super clean and something my son would have thoroughly enjoyed. We plan on visiting our family again and I will definitely inquire this Holiday Inn again to accommodate us.
This hotel is very well priced and offers a comfortable stay with a great breakfast and pool. This is my third year returning to this hotel. Whenever I travel, I look at this hotel first because it suits my family’s needs. A sofa bed with its own space and TV make it convenient for older kids to have their own space. Often it is hard finding a room for 5 people without having to pay for an extra room. The sofa bed helps us stay in one spacious room together. I love it and appreciate the thought put into the space. Very functional, comfortable and convenient.
Another Dirty Room during Pandemic 2020Checked in and found hair and a wet towel hanging in the shower (along with black mold along the tub) in our room. Requested a second room, bathroom was better but still found hair in the sink and beds looked like they had been made by the previous guest. Sheets were not clean, had a bloody stain and found a live bedbug crawling on the sheets. Did not stay the night. Surely not all Holiday Inns are like this? The receptionist was very nice about the entire experience, might be telling that he did not seem surprised. We requested a refund and we then found another place to stay.
The staff at this Kerrville hotel were all very helpful and friendly. We felt welcome and comfortable. We spent some time with our friends at the spacious Texas shaped pool and the nearby shaded gazebo, and though there were other large groups nearby, we never felt crowded. Rooms were clean and comfy and also rather spacious. Included breakfast was typical for this type of hotel - exactly what you might expect, which is not bad but not outstanding. We will definitely come back!
We stayed here because the hotel was conveniently close to Fredericksburg, TX, which we wanted to visit.Everything about this hotel was excellent from the staff, to the lobby, to the rooms. Everything was clean and well kept. The breakfast buffet was better than others we have had at Holiday Inn Express Hotels. The food was fresh, warm and the dining area was clean. An over all great experience and we would return to this hotel the next time that we are in the area.
My husband and I stayed for two nights at this motel and were very pleased with the accommodations. The room was surprisingly large, very clean and comfortable. There are two things that I would suggest to make it even better: more lighting and a towel rack. I loved the complimentary shampoos by Bath and Body. The complimentary breakfast was one of the best weve had. There was a big variety of food available and the service was exceptional. I personally would have enjoyed some fresh fruit. All and all, we had a nice time.
The staff were very friendly and offered suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. The room was larger than I expected and was very clean. I loved the pillows. Typically when we stay in a hotel the pillows are all flat and I will pile at least 3 to get the firmness that I am accustomed to. The pillows here were perfect.
Do not stay here at all. Paid for king got queen. Staff said i was picky and shouldnt care. Room had hairs on tub amd sticky wet spot on the floor the size of a basketball next to bed. No snacks in vending machines and flat soda only no water. Pool was disgusting. Again staff didnt care.
My overall experience in Kerrville was great. Great hotel staff, nice town, easy access to wineries... The hotel is fairly new so the rooms are modern. My only complaint is that the hotel doesnt maintain the pool or the exterior windows. I was happy when I entered my room. However, when I opened the curtains to look outside my view was only of the spit and bird droppings. I immediately closed the curtains. This was disappointing because I enjoy the daylight. There were also bugs in the room.
This hotel is a little older than I expected, but its extremely clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The beds are so cozy its really hard to get up in the morning and our room was extremely comfortable. The shower was good, we could have used more places to hang towels. Otherwise, a value for the price and a great place to stay.
The service was excellent - the rooms very comfortable - the pillows are marked either firm or soft - what a change from other trips in past years! The rooms were very nice - we had a two queen bed suite and it was very nice! Quite large - the fridge and microwave were a nice touch, along with a sitting area - desk, couch, chairs and large flat screen TV.The pool was cool - the ladies went in and jumped out - the hot tub needs to be larger - or put hot water in the pool - heat the pool is what I want to say. The pool water was quite cold! The hot tub is small! The breakfast area is nice - the meal selection is more than adequate - lots of fruit, cereal, eggs, meats (assorted), pancake machine, etc. There needs to be some posted rules about changing a baby or small children on the tables in the breakfast area - ugh! Someone in management needs to step up to the plate and stop this from occurring - we avoided that table, but some folks had to use it, without it being cleaned off!Overall, this was a nice trip - great place to stay and Kerrville is a very interesting area to visit!
I was travelling from California to Houston with my young daughter, and we arrived at this location very late in the night. We were weary and tired and the front desk staff gave us the last room available. They lady was very accommodating and empathetic to our needs. The hotel itself was a great location, clean and comfortable. I wished we were staying longer in order to use the pool. The pool area was beautiful and inviting! I will definitely stay there again if I ever pass through there again.
This hotel is very clean, with a great staff, including the breakfast staff. We had our 4 year old granddaughter with us and everyone made her feel very welcome. Our beds were comfortable and we were able to get a good nights rest. It was exciting to open our curtains the next morning and see the pool shaped like the state of Texas. My granddaughter definitely wants to come back when the weather is warmer!
I needed a room quickly and the front desk staff was very attentive to my needs. The suite was beyond my expectations. Extremely clean. Towels were white (not dingy yellow or with any mascara still on them) - they were VERY clean and spotless. Bathroom was shiny clean. Overall the room was great. The bed was too hard for my liking, but comparable to most hotel beds. The pillows were soft and comfy, and the room was relatively quiet for being on the first floor main hallway. The only downside I would find would be the breakfast bar in the morning had some eggs on it that I could not tell were stuffed with some mixture of onions, peppers and tomatoes I think. I didnt care for that at all and would prefer scrambled eggs. But everything else on the bar was great. Upon leaving, the front desk was left unattended so I just left my room key on the desk. This was a little before 12-noon. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
This property is old and tired and badly in need of renovation. The staff was courteous, but not overly so. The only breakfast selection was prepackaged sausage biscuits. The staff blamed the poor selection on COVID precautions, but we were served a full, hot breakfast at the Junction, Texas Holiday Inn Express, on our return trip, three days later. The next time, we’ll stay in Junction on both legs of our trip.
Had a great stay at this hotel. Room is huge and has balcony overlooking the pool. Everything was awesome. Room has two tvs plus microwave and refrigerator. Only thing I didnt like (and I have yet to find in any hotel Ive stayed in) is the shower head. Id love to have one with great water pressure and lots of different settings.
We arrived about 730 on a Saturday night. we like king beds so all they had was a suite which is fine we didnt make reservations and its late Saturday so we were willing to pay the upcharge. the room was pleasing walking in. more than enough space and comfortable set up. we kept stepping on what seemed to be pieces of cookie on the floor and the fridge seemed to be missing a front leg so when you opened the door it would plunge forward. breakfast area was well kept and good.
I thoroughly have enjoyed each stay at this facility. The service has always been exceptional. Staff very friendly and helpful. The beds are fantastic and keep forgetting to ask about the mattress type so I can order one for my personal use. Rooms very clean and no hint of any past smoker in the room or on the floor.I couldnt ask for any better accommodations. I always leave feeling very relaxed and ready for the journey ahead.Keep up the great work and service...
The room was clean, comfortable, and has lots of space. I love having a a fridge and microwave in the room. The bedding is fabulous. At this particular Holiday Inn Express, it is near the major highways. This hotel has an outdoor pool, and it looked pretty nice. They could spiff up the landscaping a bit, but thats not how I choose a hotel, ha ha. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Kerrville and Fredricksburg. Its only a short drive up to Fredricksburg on highway 16. Be sure to eat at the Rail Cafe and Mamacitas in Kerrville - both were excellent.
This hotel was very nice on the outside and the staff was very friendly. However, when I went to pull my sheets back I found a silverfish crawling inside and one in the bathroom. Also, the hairdryer did not work. At breakfast the staff member started removing items 25 mins before breakfast was over which limited options and upset a couple guests. Theses things kept it from being a great score.
I stay at this hotel every time I visit Kerrville. The rooms are really spacious and always clean. The breakfast is good but the coffee is GREAT! The staff are always friendly and helpful. In the summer we use the swimming pool which is very large with plenty tables and chairs. The staff always offers us towels for the pool area. It is easy to check in and out. Also, the location is excellent. There are two restaurants in walking distance that we always go to. All and all, this place is clean, spacious and convenient.
We stayed in a suite which was very spacious. Everything was clean and our bed was comfortable. We enjoyed most everything about our four night stay including breakfast and the friendly, helpful staff. The work out area leaves a little to be desired but at least they had a treadmill.I gave staff/service a good simply because my room was never cleaned before 2 PM each day which was a problem for us. But, to the hotels credit I did not complain. We would stay here again and if needed would request we be earlier on the cleaning list.
The room was clean and spacious! The staff was fantastic! The view to the pool is beautiful at night! Overall great experience! Would definitely recommend this hotel! One of the best hotels in Kerrville! We stayed for free because I had earned enough points from the IHG program! If you arent apart of this program I would definitely make sure you join!
I have stayed at this hotel many times. This was the best stay The hotel updated their beds a couple years ago and this past year they have really stepped up the dinning room experience with higher quality food presentation and better choices. Also the WIFI is 100% better than In the past. All in all hotel has done a very good job with updates and the housekeeping staff was wonderful. Bobbie on the 3rd floor was very friendly and my 10yr old LOVED the way she arranged his pillow pets on his bed. It’s the little things that make the difference, more places should slow down and pay attention to the little things. I will be staying here again.
Upon arriving, was greeted by friendly staff. The room was clean and spacious . The ceiling fan over the bed was a nice touch providing a very comfortable night sleeping. It was very quiet with no traffic or hotel noise. The only recommendation I have to offer is a night light in bathroom. The heated spa was a blessing after a day of hiking in the hill country. Breakfast had a good selection of options and was well staffed. Theres a lot of bang for the buck at Holiday Inn Express/ Kerrville.
We called ahead to tell them we would be late and they said it would be no problem. The front desk staff were very nice and friendly. The room was larger than expected and very nicely decorated. The bathrooms were modern and the cleaning staff kept them looking clean and orderly the whole stay. The breakfast was good and a good amount of items to eat. Overall, I will definitely be bringing the family back to this hotel.
Clean, fresh-smelling room. Soft and comfortable bed. Great amenities. Excellent, healthy breakfast—loved the oatmeal and brown sugar, raisins and walnuts provided as well as the Chobani blueberry yogurt. Good coffee and orange juice. Attractive, comfortable dining room. Attentive, courteous attendants and staff. I would stay here again.
We felt the hotel was a great hotel and a great value. The friendliness of the employees was outstanding. The staff who handled our check-in and out was great---very friendly and informative. They let us know of places to eat in the area and asked us if they could help us in any way. The breakfast staff was exceptionally outstanding. They were remarkable.
I would not recommend this hotel. The bed was so uncomfortable....super super soft, our head was lower than our feet. There was a huge crack in the corner of the room. The front desk personnel seemed to not care. We planned to stay two nights but left after one night.
The first thing that surprised us about this HIE was the ample size of the room. Most hotels barely give you about three feet of space between the bed and the wall. This hotel gives you about six feet of space all around, give or take. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Check in and check out were extremely easy and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was really good and we liked the variety. It was good enough that it allowed us to get on the road and continue on our trip without having to stop somewhere else for breakfast. Overall it was a good experience and I would stay here again. I highly recommend it.
Due to issues with guest not checking out on time our room was not ready. The front desk person was apologetic and friendly. She kept letting us know that the rooms would be ready as soon as possible. Housekeeping was working double time. When we returned after eating lunch the room was ready and spotless. The whole time the staff was friendly and very upbeat. Would stay there again.
We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years. The rooms are spacious and beds fine. TV’s seem too small for room. Also feel like the hotel needs a refresh. Some windows in rooms are fogged up. Noticed air vent by elevator was very dirty and several lights on elevator panel are burned out. Minor things but add to the feeling that a refresh is needed.
Lots of room in room. Love the soaps in bathroom. Very clean and easy to relax. Breakfast was excellent - hot items were hot, cold items cold, and coffee was great! Beds were a little worn, but we were told they are being replaced in the near future. Hotel staff is very courteous - great Texas hospitality! They were very helpful and accommadating. Would stay here again if chance arises.
Almost everything you want in a hotel is here in Kerrville! The rooms are modern, expansive and comfortable. You feel at home and start to relax as soon as you enter the room. Bathroom, bedroom and work areas are larger then most rooms you get. Layed out very ergonomically and the AC worked quite well! To top this off the pool was a very nice friendly size and well kept. Temp was good and the chlorine level was not too high at all.
Front desk staff was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing them when I checked in. They were even more rude when I checked out.The shower in our room had mold in it and overall the room seemed pretty old and worn out. Tons of kids running around the halls late at night, knocking on doors and running off. Management did nothing about it. I am a very loyal Holiday Inn customer, but had a bad experience at this property. They need to do better.
This hotel is great! Great customer service. The front desk employee(Mario) went out of his way to research the rate I paid for the room through a third party website and he was able to modify the rate of the room to correct it, due to the third party over-charging and I didnt even know it. I was very appreciative of that. The suites are very roomy, the beds are very comfortable, and the separate area with a sofa-bed and additional TV is a nice perk. The swimming pool is shaped like the state of Texas and we loved that nice little touch of Texas to this facility. Nice hot tub too. Great variety of food for breakfast. The complimentary breakfast definitely saves you money from having to pay for a meal elsewhere, especially if youre vacationing with a family. I travel to this area 4-6 times a year and I will definitely make this my permanent hotel when I stay in Kerrville.
We always pass through Kerrville when taking Texas road trips. This hotel is always our selection due to location, newness and overall cleanliness. We usually arrive tired and head to Cracker Barrel for a home cooked meal, we visit the empty cross then enjoy the hot tub and beautiful Texas pool at the property. Everything works well for us at this location.
We were delighted with the large size of the room. The swimming pool reminds you of how proud we are of our fine state in Texas. Everything was well maintained and spotlessly clean. The desk clerk, Daniel, was helpful in suggesting a family friendly restaurant. The breakfast offered a variety of choices and was kept well stocked. We found a quiet spot to meet about essential oils and the natural choices for addressing health concerns with a local friend. Your cinnamon rolls rock!
Very enjoyable stay while visiting relatives in Kerrville over the winter holidays. We tried out a suite with 2 queen beds, an easy chair, dresser and tv on top, and 2 lamps with multi-power levels. It had a nice kitchenette with a microwave and wetbar and junior fridge. The living room had a comfortable loveseat sofa, coffee table, side chair, writing desk, and flat screen tv and tv stand, with three lamps with multi-power settings. The living room opened onto the nice sized patio which overlooked the Texas-shaped pool with a fountain in the Panhandle section of the pool. There was also a Star-shaped hot tub and a pool house or large covered gazebo in the area, with lots of furniture to relax or sun around the pool on. Well have to come back during the summer-time to try out the pool! The bathroom was very nicely appointed, with granite vanity top, and an open cabinet below with room for additional towel storage. The hair dryer was easy to operate, and adequate supplies were supplied for the guests to use.We really enjoyed our stay, although we missed out on our complimentary breakfast each day due to our own fault! Well try it out next visit! Thanks!
This is a clean, comfortable hotel. Really appreciate being able to get a smoking room (believe it or not there are still some smokers out there!) Staff was friendly & efficient. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent. Laundry facilities more than adequate. Only thing I think could be improved would be the size and quality of the TV (would have liked a flat screen/bigger), we were stuck in the room for several days due to cold & rain (traveling on a motorcycle) and a nicer TV would have been appreciated. If going to thishotel, Id like to note that it is off the road and up a hill and the sign by the road is very small!!!
The attention staff gives all clients go up and beyond what you are expecting. Again, well ran operations. Clean every where you go. Oh, the breakfast was well done and Inever have I experience such great food at a hotel. Again, well done. All of our future Hotels will be held to a new standard. Thanks for a great experience.
Nice large room. Quiet. Nice big balcony with a view to the sunset (and I-10, Lowes store, and pool). Clean quiet hallways and public areas. Good clean breakfast room, well stocked, good variety of breakfast items, both hot and cold. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Great mattress and bed linens. Bath linens very good, soft.
This hotel is off the main road just a tad; perhaps difficult to find the first time, but nice being off the main road. All of the staff are extremely courteous and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was good, the pool was nice, the gym was nice. The rooms are comfortable with curtains that keep the rooms dark. Beds and pillows were good. I would certainly stay here again if I was in the area.
Overall nice hotel with friendly staff. Bathroom had a burned out light bulb that was never replaced. Hand towel holder falling off the wall and never fixed. Furniture arms were dirt/soiled and needed cleaning. Staff did not honor our preference requests. The big one missed was No feather pillows in the room due to health reasons. Had to have house keeping come take out all the feather pillows. It’s the little things that count and this hotel staff fell short.
Friendly staff, accommodating, comfortable bed, pillows, plenty of room, great AC. The jacuzzi works and is perfect temp...hot, but not too hot. Ive been to hotels that say they have a jacuzzi, only to discover its not working. Great to relax at end of day. Have stayed in Kerrville many times, 2-3 nights, and this is where I always stay. Breakfast choices were very good.
The city of Kerrville has denied this beautiful property a sign that is easily readable from Siney Baker. It is directly behind Cracker Barrel. This is a beautiful property with a Texas shaped pool and balcony suites overlooking the pool area. The rooms are roomy and spacious; youll be amazed at the amount of accessible electrical outlets. Beds are super comfortable even for the over 60 crowd. Breakfast was fully stocked with attentive staff. Front desk staff is super helpful and accommodating. Hotel is near shopping and many restaurants. We cant wait to go back!
Despite all of Holiday Inn’s assurances that it is taking extra care to ensure cleanliness during the COVID-19 pandemic, our room had clearly not been cleaned well. Immediately on check-in, we discovered dried soda on the nightstand. If there is dried soda, the surface hasn’t been cleaned. Dried soda on the nightstand would be bad at anytime, but given the dangers of COVID-19, it is absolutely appalling and irresponsible! To top it off, the person at the front desk was really unfriendly. We didn’t even mention the unclean room. So apparently, being unfriendly is just his normal way of treating customers.
I enjoyed a three night stay in a very large room (not expected!) overlooking the fantastic pool off my balcony. I was visiting for business and regretted that I didnt have time to enjoy the balcony or the comfortable room more than I did. The hotel seemed busy, but the hallway noise was minimal and I slept great in the very comfortable bed. Thank you for a quiet and relaxing stay.
Stayed two nights with my family. Room was spacious and updated. Bathroom and bedroom were not well cleaned. Front desk staff were friendly. Pool area is nice and there are rooms with balconies overlooking the pool. Breakfast choices were just fair. Person re-stocking the items did not seem to have time to wipe the tables. Light bulbs in the room were very white; recommend the hotel use warmer light bulbs or change lamp shades to ivory. Hotel is set back from the road and the Holiday Inn sign is small and easy to miss. We will probably try another hotel next time were in Kerrville.
This is the nicest hotel in this town. Very spacious rooms and pool area. Sparkling clean room and fluffy linens. Plenty of hot water in the shower/bath. Hot breakfast with plenty of choices for everyone. We had considered a cabin, but decided we wanted these wide open spaces. Best decision ever!
This hotel with kids was amazing. The pool was great even though we used it for just a few hours. The hotel staff was very informative and gave us great options for restaurants and places to take the kids. They told us about the Louise Hays Park and our family had a blast. The rooms were clean and very accommodating.
I had surgery that day and was there to rest overnight before traveling back home. I had booked far enough in advance that l had requested a quiet room downstairs (and gave the reason for the request) with 2 beds. Upon arrival my husband was told “ no we only have king beds on first floor.” I KNOW better than that. The desk clerk had an attitude of “l could care less” when my husband explained the situation. The 2nd floor room we were given was situated below a family with noisy children running around. It would have been nice to have my request considered. Too much noise from above!!
Arrived and Josh at check in was the best thing about our stay. Room was not clean and cleaned it myself because we didn’t want to move rooms because we wanted adjoining room with my daughter. Bathroom had dial soap bar with hair on it left, dirty towels were left and panty hangers and trash bags left in the room. I cleaned and sanitized our room Later my daughter mentioned they found dirty face mask in their room so being mom I cleaned and sanitized their room. Josh from the front desk came and picked up the trash and dirty towels. He said he reported it to the head housekeeper and the hotel manager but as of now no one has reached out to me. We will not be going back and I will keep posting this information until someone reaches out to me. Dates June 4-7 2020.
The room size was really good but the cleanliness was much to be desired. I dont expect to find baby cockroaches in the room and the room service leaves much to be desired. Dirty towels should have been picked up and counters should have been cleaned; soap replaced and enough wash cloths replaced. The coffee pods werent replaced or even emptied. Housekeeping basically only made the bed and not much of anything else, not even emptying the garbage.
We stopped here because it was raining and we couldnt go any further. The hotel was very nice and breakfast had a big selection. I love that they offer pancakes and not waffles. The check in clerk was very pleasant and my husband is handicapped and everyone who saw us offered to help us.
I was impressed from the moment I walked into the Lobby. The desk clerk was very friendly and had our reservation already available. The room was very clean and cool. The bathroom was as we asked due to my wife and I are disabled. The staff was very friendly and asked if we neededadditional help. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. My wife and I rate our stay as a wonderful 10.
Great hotel worked in the past long ago cleaned the laundry, temporarily head housekeeper until a new permanent one could be established, filled in for the breakfast bar, cleaned rooms,y filled in on my days off when needed.Good manager his family too (Mike). If complaints made the customer is not contacted it is put on the housekeeping list a meeting is held with the manager present to make it known to staff y head housekeeper. Then rooms are inspected by the head housekeeper even Manager for days to make sure whoever did not understand procedures (usually a new worker) is up to date on how to clean properly.Complaints about discoloration of caulk from over bleaching to fridge wobbles report to front desk housekeeper do not handle this ,maintenance does must be notified of issue to put on the list order parts wait for parts then install said parts.Great friendly owners. I worked 1-2yrs here.Country town great location gas stations next door. Next door is another great hotel with German vibe. Great restaurants in walking distance.Drive up the road a ways there is a DollarTree to Specks .Lots close by even visitor center y car rental . Lowe’s y HomeDepot super close to this hotel. Great front Desk Staff. Great breakfast bar lots of choices even for picky kids.Amber - (waves)
The staff at this hotel were friendly and courteous!! Brooke and Kayla and Mario at the front desk could not have been better! They were all friendly and nice and not just because they were supposed to be. They were genuinely fantastic people and should be rewarded! Also, Nancy and Kathy in the breakfast area were two of the friendliest and hardest working people I have ever seen!! They should be commended! In short, this hotel has a great staff and made our four night stay a memorable one! We will definitely pick this hotel for our next visit to Kerrville; which we visit at least twice a year for several days each.
The hotel was easy to find and had ample parking. The staff completely underwhelmed me on check in and did their level best bare minimum to help me. The second night the front desk staff was far more helpful. On arriving at the room, it was spacious and comfortable, but, well, uhhhh, it smelled like mold. After a daily spray of Lysol, it was ok. The hotel looks new, but the moldy air conditioning and the condensation on the windows tell me otherwise. If you are staying one night, stay, be well, THE BREAKFAST IS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE CHAIN. If you are staying several nights, drive to Fredericksburg or Bandera IHG property. The pool is huge and shaped like Texas. The Gym is upstairs and accessible.
My friend and I stayed 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the hill country! The staff was wonderful from check-in to check-out. They even showed us a closer side door to use and held it open for us as we carried in our luggage from a side parking lot.Our room was very clean and fresh feeling. It felt very safe for 2 women traveling alone. All in all, a very nice experience!
Our stay was great, staff was friendly. We only had 2 small issues. The first one being we were told all the ice machines were broke so had to go to the desk for ice. We were on the third floor so that was a little inconvient, but we did get our ice. The second was the grab and go breakfast. I would like to suggest they offer some sugarfree items.
The room was nice and very spacious. The room was clean but the beds felt horrible:( One was very bouncy with no support, the other bed was a little better. There were stray cats & raccoons everywhere in the parking lot. If my husband wouldnt have came in & showed me a picture of them I wouldnt have believed him. There were over 20 and someone had put tons of cat food out to feed them. If I had to go back to Kerrville I would probably stay there again if I needed to because of how clean the room & lobby was. However I think management or somebody should look into all of the strays around there. I would also check the comfort of the bed before I unpacked.
We came into town for a wedding in Fredricksburg. The hotels in Fredricksburg were easily $150 MORE than this property which is only about 30 minutes away. So first, this hotel is a great value. It is newly renovated and theyve done a great job with all of the rooms. My wife and I traveled with our newborn and because of the divided room, we were able to put him down away from the light - a big issue in most hotel rooms. So second, it was a great room. It was clean, modern, and spacious. We were going to go out to breakfast at the nearby Cracker Barrel (one of our faves) but decided to pass it up because the breakfast provided at the hotel was fantastic. I had biscuits and gravy which were delicious and fresh with crispy bacon, fruit, juice, and good coffee. My wife had a cinnamon roll and fruit with eggs and bacon. All it all great. (If you add the value of what we would have paid for breakfast the next morning into the room - probably $30 w/ tip - it makes the room all that better of the value). Now I only have one major complaint about this location which compared to how much we enjoyed the rest of our stay isnt the biggest deal in the world. Ive been working out pretty regularly and really look forward to my morning workouts. I didnt expect a full gym with squat rack and bench press, but I hoped for some dumbbells. Unfortunately, the fitness center was a small room with low ceilings, poor ventilation, and very little equipment. They had three older machines - treadmill, bike, and elliptical - and two workout bands (one of which was broken). I was still determined to get a workout in, so I ended up doing a bodyweight workout, which I probably could have done in my room and been more comfortable. All in all this was a GREAT location and we enjoyed our time there. If youre not looking to workout, this is a true value for the quality. Cheers!
Want to put out a Special Thank You to the Staff, Ashley and Crystal (housekeeping and front desk) for making my stay Outstanding. They went out of their way to get me into a room as I had arrived too early for normal check-in. It was worth it as I fell immediately asleep in the most comfortable bed and relaxed room.Breakfast team (front desk and cook) were also very helpful for checkout and early breakfast. Well Done.
My husband and I stayed here on October 18-20 and it was mostly a good experience. The room was nice and clean and the bed was quite comfortable. Check in was easy and front desk person was very nice. We used the hot tub twice and it was also very nice. The only problem we had was after the first night, we had the do not disturb card on our door. As we left for the day, we took the card off and the person cleaning the room watched as we took it off. She was at the room next ours. I even spoke to her and said good morning. When we came back from breakfast, she was on the other side of our room cleaning and I spoke with her again. We left shortly after and when we returned that evening, our room was not cleaned and we had to go find towels at the front desk. The person at the desk said this had happened to several people. The only other complaint I would have is the sign leading to the hotel was very hard to see and is small.Other than this, it was a good experience and it is a nice hotel. We will be staying again in the future.
Good location close to I-10 and all nearby places of interest. Room was very clean and quite large for two people, excellent hot breakfast every day. Hotel staff were very courteous and always willing to help us with anything that we needed during our stay. Overall experience - excellent.
Myself and my family have stayed here multiple times for leisure and to take care of family business for several years. Every stay has been the same, Clean, Nice-Friendly-Helpful Staff, Wonderful Breakfast Bar and easy access to Kerrville. I would not consider staying in any other Hotel when the need arises! Thank you for providing a comfortable place to stay when away from home!
This is one of the best places Ive stayed. I love the pool, its shaped like our great state of Texas and the rooms overlook it. Lots of space to be comfortable. 2 t.v.s with one having a nice sofa and table. Balcony is nice if you want to sit outside and not have to go downstairs. Also if you wake up hungry you can enjoy an actual breakfast. Greatly enjoyed both stays.
Couldnt have been happier with this hotel. Very clean, large room, great staff, breakfast was perfect. Tina checked me in and was extremely nice and helpful about the local area and things to do. Went to the room and was shocked at how large it was, very clean, and modern. Next morning breakfast was great, food was good, and very large selection of items to choose from. Will definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.
Our room was nice, sectioned off into 2 separate spaces. The sleeping area and a office / living area. The bathroom was a different story :( the toilet had leaked so much that there was a hard water stain on the tiles, with the leaky water traveling a long the grout lines. The shower curtain was just about ripped off in 2 different places, with yellow stains all over it. The shower handle was so loose I thought it was going to fall off. It was a quiet place, and the downstairs staff were friendly. I dont know that we will stay there again.
Driving in on Hwy 16, the hotel was a little hard to spot as it sits on a hill. The sign indicating the entrance is small. We were told it can be seen well from Interstate 10. However, once we found the hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We did not hear traffic noise from our room. The room was large, the furnishings were nice and clean, along with a private balcony overlooking the pool and waterfall. The breakfast area was clean and well maintained with a good number of food choices and plenty of coffee.
This property has been recently remodeled. The modern updates are nice. However, they either did not replace the bathroom fans or replaced them with the loudest option on the market. The fans are connected to the light, so there is no way to turn them off. As an IHG Gold member, I was able to upgrade to a balcony room overlooking the pool which was quite enjoyable. The rooms are large and spacious. Overall this is a great property.
Hotel is showing signs of age and neglect. Room was not very clean, tub and shower have lots of mold/mildew. Shower curtain has not been cleaned in long time, large places of mildew on it. 2nd day of cleaning, the bed was half made and pillows left on the couch. We have stayed here several times over the years, this was a disappointment for us to see the uncleanliness. Front desk staff was great as always, they make the reason we would return. The lady handling breakfast is extremely hyper, interrupting and wanting to take plates before you are finished. Main issue of concern is the uncleanliness of the bathroom, which would make you question the rest of the room.
Dirty Room During Pandemic 2020We checked in to find our room hadn’t been properly cleaned. The beds were untucked, the floor wasn’t fully vacuumed, and there was used soap and wash cloth in the shower. We brought it to the attention of the front desk and they put us in a different room. With all of this Covid-19 business going on, you would think that management would tighten up on their housekeeping duties. Unfortunately, it was late in the evening, otherwise we would have found a different place to stay.
This is the 2nd time Ive stayed on this property and it is a very good choice. The rooms are large and have ceiling fans. Everything is clean and the staff is very friendly. Because of the virus, the food choices for breakfast were not great (just some prepackaged items). Hopefully life will return to normal soon!
Still had good experience even in these times. the pool was open thank you for that. we also used the pavilion out back thank you for that it was just the right size for a family get together. one of the rooms was not cooling the last day come to find out they called in the wrong room number our fault it didnt get fixed.
My husband and I celebrated our 34 year anniversary and decided to spend the weekend in the hill country of Texas. After reviewing the many choices in Kerrville (a great central location) we decided to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Kerrville. We checked in a few hours before the 3:00 check-in and the room was ready for us. The staff were welcoming, accommodating, and very service oriented. The room was a suite and nicely appointed. No complaints there. The one complaint we had was the bed was very, very hard! I slept on the sofa the last night. The bed WAS that hard.Other than that, its a great hotel and wed stay again.
I stayed here recently on business, and after coming from a hellacious night at a different Holiday Inn Express, this was very refreshing. My room was very large, comfortable, and clean. The pool and outdoor area is amazing! I rarely visit the pool when traveling on business, but I had to make an exception this time. Also, there were quite a few food options in walking distance which is nice after a long day of driving.
The kids and or adults over our floor --you could hear running and stomping very easily. The showerhead in the bathroom was all messed up. The phone to contact the front desk was initially broken. They did get the phone fixed and the room was cleaned very well. Breakfast was adequate. The hotel clerk got us a toothbrush up to the room fairly quickly.
Our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Kerrville was fine and suited our needs for a 2 night visit to the area. The hotel property sits back from the road and the signage wasnt very large so we missed the hotel the first time by. I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express hotels while a business traveler and have always been satisfied. The breakfast assortment was good and the location convenient. The only downside was the room could have used more lighting in the guest area and the A/C was noisy but cooled just fine.
When I made the reservation I requested a top floor room, at check in I was given a ground floor room and told someone must have overlooked my request. So most of the night was spent listening to the herd of elephants in the room above only to be drowned out by people shouting, fighting and slamming doors down the hall way. Really a low class experience you would expect in a flea bag hotel. Never to return to this Hotel.
We were pleased with all aspects of the hotel and our stay. With our allergies, a hotel that is pet free and smoke free is absolutely critical for us. The receptionist and all other staff were welcoming; knowledgeable of the local area, and provided us with details about the propertys offering. Highly recommend this particular hotel! Thanks!
We were in the area for a wedding. The hotel was very good, clean, and we slept in the morning after the wedding and it was very quiet! Breakfast staff greeted us with a happy smile even when we arrived 15 minutes before closing time. That was wonderful. We didnt feel rushed for breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.

2022-04-18When you are in the hill country, you need to stay at the HI Express. Set back from the hustle and bussel., sits your oasis. Hard to find, but once you do, you quickly learn it was worth the effort.Friendly and helpful staff work hard to make your stay comfortable. Large clean rooms, and cold AC await you. All the amenities that you come to expect HI Express are here. Business center, fitness center, and a great breakfast bar with the best cinnamon rolls around. Texas proud with a swimming pool shaped like our great state and a hottub emblazoned like the great lone star.I will stay here when my travels for work or pleasure have me in Kerrville.

2022-06-29Great place to stay and excellent location right on I-10. After a long 9 hour drive, the hot tub was the perfect ending to our day. The rooms and the entire hotel were very clean. DANIEL, the employee who checked us in, was extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Keep up the great work!!!

2021-11-03We have a group of friends that were all in a Sunday School class as teenagers that still get together every year and meet at different places. The Kerrville location proved to be one of the best spots we have stayed so far. We like to find areas within the facilities that we can just sit and talk, The Desk Clerk, Heather, was so very accommodating to us during our entire stay. She even allowed us to bring snacks in and use the breakfast meeting area for an evening get together. She was one of the best hotel staff personnel that I have encountered in my years of travel. The hotel was very nice, and the pool area is outstanding with its unique Texas shape and large sitting and group areas.I highly recommend this facility for its hospitality and comfortable surroundings.

2022-01-17We came as a group. The rooms were really clean and good size. Housekeepers on 3rd were also very nice. Now, the housekeepers on 1st and 2nd not so much. Front desk was very very rude. I think his name was Josh from what I remember. Breakfast was good, but could be better. They should really get someone for front desk that isnt so rude. I would have gave this 5 stars but due to front desk I will only be rating at 4. Overall besides the front desk issue this was a comfortable stay.

2021-11-22This place was okay, not friendly front desk staff, but not rude--you know what I mean, nothing to write home about, but not overly impressive. Their breakfast is fantastic, and the ladies that maintain it were amicable, so that is why I am bumping them above average. The rooms are older, smaller TVs, flat-screen but old school flat screens, and channel selection are terrible. I liked the balconies on the 2nd-floor rooms; free hill country air was a nice touch. The Texas-sized pool in the courtyard was a nice view, and there was also a large jacuzzi! No military or veteran discount on the weekends which is disappointing--I guess as long as you dont get in front of their big money-making days, its okay to give back! Still, the room was pretty pricey, they had no king suites left and charged $179 for a dual queen, which is outrageous to me, but its right off the interstate and likely dont have much competition this time of year. There was that Argentine Ant challenge they were having, but I didnt see any.All in all, its average, but their breakfast service bumps them up! I wouldnt stay in the place long term, but for a night its okay! The elevator is slow, and stairs at either end of the hallway make getting to upper levels with rooms in the middle painful, especially with kids and lots of luggage! Still, a one-night stay is tolerable! Teetering between a 3 & 4; needs much more work to gain a top review!

2022-04-24We stayed two nights here and was very disappointed in their amenities. We ride a motorcycle and depend on using the hotels laundry room. Upon arriving at the hotel we were told that one of their machines was out of order and they had no idea when it would be fixed. The Manager stated he would credit bonus points to our account for the inconvenience and has not done so. This was the second Holiday Inn Express in two days that had their Laundry Room closed due to a machine being out of order. Normally, this isnt a big deal but when you travel on a motorcycle and depend on using the laundry service, it is a big deal. When their laundry room is out of service, they should advise you before booking a 2 night stay. Very disappointed in the staff and management here. This was the highest priced hotel in the area and we will definitely look for other options in the future.

2022-04-02Really nice person at check in and check out. Room was very clean and spacious. Also quiet. My only issue was the lack of black out curtains. The thin white fabric did little to block the light coming from outside. I would stay here again anytime I am in Kerrville as the location is well suited and the staff were so nice.

2022-01-16I am only rating this 5 stars because of housekeeping and how clean the rooms were. Front desk(josh) was absolutely rude, he would act like he couldnt do anything, and wouldnt greet you as you walk in. Ashley(housekeeper) did absolutely amazing on greeting us and making sure we had what we needed. Overall a great stay besides josh at the front desk having a horrible attitude.

2022-04-24We travel on a motorcycle and always stay at Holiday Inn. We depend on using the laundry service as we have to pack sparingly. When we got to the hotel we were advised that their dryer was out of order. We had no clean clothes and Easter Sunday was the next day. . We were told we would receive points to compensate for the inconvenience but did not receive anything. Furthermore, we did not even receive the bonus points for staying there 2 nights. This place was the highest priced hotel in the area and we will definitely check out other options in the future when in the area.
