Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
Great store and management team, I had a mix up with a special order BBQ grill and they went above and beyond to make it right. The only star that is missing was the special order department should have check the product before shipping it out. Yet at the end it all turn out good and the patio looked awesome with the new grill.
Customer service absolutely sux! Nobody would answer the phone finally on the 15th call after repeatedly getting dispatched to noone to pick up the phone somebody did finally get somebody to help me just see if zipwall sheathing was there. I guess I should be thankful that they at least had some there. If I didnt need the only premium priced product over the weekend . I would and will seek other options. but then again if this world wasnt soo screwed up we wouldnt have half the issues were dealing with today when do good employees matter? Very disappointing.🤢
Custumer service was horrible. If I can give a zero I would. Manager Adrianna was rude to my Hispanic mother and denies it(even though she was Hispanic herself). I called to file a complaint. I did get a call from another manager that was willing to help but I could see the rudeness all in all. Call me what you want but when your mother calls you upset and crying because somebody belittled her us as her kids will be there no matter what!
Was running around town looking for a new drain tubing for my bathroom sink. Alex in plumbing was awesome. Took the time to ask questions and helped me find the right parts for the job. Its hard to find help now a days. Plus it was a great help that he spoke Spanish. Since my 72 year old dad came along. He was able to communicate with my dad too.
I was going to purchase a package of light bulbs based on the 20% markdown price offered on the app. However, the manager refused to price match their own product listed on their app. I can understand maybe not wanting to price match to competitor prices, but it’s directly from the Lowe’s website. As an organization, it’s your responsibility of honoring your prices and ensuring consistency all around. Otherwise, you come off as cheapskates who are all about the money. The only reason my rating is two stars is bc the employees (not management), do try to go above and beyond to help customers. I appreciate that, and management needs to rethink their values and try to be more like their employees. In such a highly competitive market, I have no doubts that I can find better customer service overall, elsewhere.
This store is the worst. One underpaid employee running all these self-service checkout lanes? Another employee noticed me goose necking, looking for a cashier and told me Good luck! when I expressed the need for one. I was buying spray paint so of course the ONE employee is trying to move the line along by checking another customer out like a cashier used to, so Im standing there waiting for a human to approve the spray paint. Meanwhile, there are customers lined up patiently waiting for their turn at the Lowes vending machine. I hate the future!
If I was able to choose no stars I would. This is the worst location ever. I have gone into this store a couple of times this week to purchase a washer and dryer. The same nice gentlemen assist me every time and hes very nice and is doing his best BUT hes a new employee and has no idea what hes doing. He paged for help 4 times and no one came to assist him. This happened when I came the first time when he paged and no assistance. What kind of management are they even running for their employees? So because he couldnt help me with my order, I decided to go down the street to home depot but as I was walking out, I saw every manager sitting at the front talking and doing nothing. Like HELLOOO are they ignoring pages or what??
I have not had a terribly bad experience at this location, but my review is for their hired installers. Texas Home Pros rescheduled a simple 20 minute OTR microwave install 4 times. I waited a total of 12.5 hours for them to show up. It literally took them 20 minutes to install. They were half an hour late outside of their window. The first reschedule they told me there were 3 dishwasher installs ahead of me. One cancellation was because the team was sick, so Im ok with that. It took me chewing out someone in their office (who wasnt to blame but the only contact) to get any information from them. Microwave was purchased on the 15th...installed on the 5th. It sat in a box in my living room the whole time. Ill never pay Lowes to install any appliances again. And Ill shop around for appliances and use them as a last resort.
I ordered a Generac generator from this store. It has been delayed several times beyond what sales guy said possible. I cannot find anyone to talk to or cancel with. Nobody knows anything, but they did take payment already. Last automated delay says delivery at least 3 more months away while Home depot shows 161 of the same unit in-stock for immediate delivery. Mel Chan was the sales person and his phone number no longer works and store doesnt know who he is.
Buyer beware! Bought a SimplyShade 11-ft Greige Solar Powered Crank Cantilever Patio Umbrella with Base from lowes with 2 year warranty. It failed due to design flaw, spoke with manager Chase and he sent me on a fools errand with manufacturer (China) just to hear that that part only has a one-year warranty. Waste of time and money.
Ordered a 2400$ fridge which was broken on delivery… called back the same day. Loooonnnnng story short the manager told us we would have to come into the store and pick up the repair parts and do the work ourselves to fix the BRAND NEW FRIDGE THEY BROKE ON DELIVERY…. Paid full price for them to essentially deliver us a scratch and dent.
This Lowes has ruined all Lowes experiences for me.I ordered $3000 in large appliances on a Tuesday specifically for delivery on Wednesday. I was given two different windows for delivery from two different confirmation services -- one via email and one via text. When the later one came and went, I made 12 different calls to Lowes customer service departments from corporate all the way down to the store trying to track down my significantly sized purchase to no avail. Legitimately, no one could help me determine where my items where, who had them, when or if they would be delivered, and what I should do next.Four hours after my delivery window passed, I got an automated text message saying the appliances would be delivered in 10 minutes. This was at 7:07 pm when I had finally left my home for the first time that day, after waiting from 9am-6pm on a delivery and installation that never came. I sped home and waited until 9pm when I finally decided the delivery was never coming. I was correct. (spoiler alert: fast forward one week, its still not here)I finally got a hold of Darnell the delivery manager the next morning. Hes somehow the ONLY one in the whole Lowes corporation who can manage the deliveries from the Brodie store. He PROMISES up and down Ill remember exactly who he is, and that my items will be delivered the following Tuesday. He gives me 10% off my purchase price and is very nice about trying to correct the delivery as best he could. He fails. Monday comes and goes and there is no confirmation that my items will arrive the next day. I woke up the next day and immediately place a call to the store to find out when I can expect my delivery. I speak to two people at the store who have no idea what Im talking about. The second promises to call me back. 30 minutes later he calls back and says there is no way the delivery can come out Monday, but he promises it will come tomorrow.Im not holding my breath. This has been the absolute worst experience. Ive spent $3000 and went from having next day delivery to having the possibility of maybe having my purchases delivered one week later. Do not patronize this store.
This is by far the worst customer service Ive experienced in my lifetime. I started keeping a note on my iPhone because of how many times Ive contacted Lowes about the same door order. As an example, today, Ive called to speak with someone >10 times. Multiple times Ive even reached someone...only to be hung up on! Wow this is impressively bad. Do not under any circumstance purchase doors for installation.
I needed some extension cords. I was having trouble walking that day. I didnt feel like I could walk the huge store to find them! Customer Service got a representative to come to me to determine what I needed. He went back to the Dept and brought a selection to me. I made my selection, paid & was on my way. A very pleasant exchange!!
If youre looking for power tools, talk to Brian. Hes the man. With military efficiency, hell get you on your way, with every thing you need...quick and in a hurry. Dang, Smalls! Youre killin` me! Donny is your man in lumber if youre looking for pro help. If you feel like something you are purchasing needs a better price to beat the competition hes the man to talk to. You can be sure there will be sufficient support staff to help you load. Chris is the store manager I met. Hes not one to sit in an office and hide. As he keeps the ball rolling, it is common to find him on the floor and available, even though he is undoubtedly busy and on the move. This store is a gem in the Lowes crown. Its my first stop for home improvement needs. Thanks for the dedication guys.
Hard to decide a star review on this one. I ordered a gas stove by calling the store and speaking to the appliance department. The person I spoke to was great and assured me that I could have the delivery people hook up the new gas stove and take away the old one. Fast forward to delivery day and the first thing the guy says to me is We dont touch gas and then went off onto a long explanation as to why they couldnt as a third party. Okay, fine, Lowes was confused apparently.I called the store and they assured me the delivery company should have hooked it up. So they call the third part manager and say the same (?) guys who said they couldnt touch gas would come back out to hook up my gas stove. They were going to come the same day, didnt make it and then couldnt give me a time the next day. I gave up and found someone else that I hope is going to do it today. I cancelled with Lowes and got a refund. The thing is though that I never would have purchased the stove from Lowes if Id known they couldnt hook it up. I would have purchased from someone else because what I was looking for was convenience and lack of hassle. Now all I have is hassle and a stove I hope someone else can hook up.Hard to land on a star review because everyone I spoke to at this Lowes was very nice and trying very hard to be helpful. I dont know who hired this third party so I dont know whos fault it is. But dont purchase a gas appliance from this store and expect it to be hooked up by them.
Went in to buy some specific electrical materials. Only it was first time in store. Luckily, this Lowes H. I. was staffed by two respectful, courteous, and very helpful in taking me straight to what I asked for. Its tough now a days to find those attributes in general. Thumbs up. Went in , out, and found everything at good price.
Not too many people know but Lowes is designed and laid out with a womans touch. Consider this the next time you step into a home depot unless youre just looking to build some new construction project... Are you sure youre in the right store? If youre not doing that construction project, you probably are.
Ran into a couple of kind of grumpy workers. After I kept insisting that the website said they had some roofing screws in stock, the guy finally reluctantly located them. Lumber quality was exceptional compared to my usual home depot experience. No one to check me out by lumber at about 7pm, so I had to push a heavy cart all across the store to the self checkout.
Ordered custom widows from them. I was called on a Thursday to say they would text me a time for delivery. Come Sunday I was given a time of 2-6pm on Monday. We made arrangements for someone to be there at that time to put them in the garage because the install wasn’t until Wednesday. At 845am on Monday I got a text that just said “Lowe’s”. 5 minutes later I got another text that said “Lowe’s delivery”. I texted the number back and said do you need something. The driver driver calls me and says he’s there and where should he Put the windows. I told him he was supposed to be there at after 2pm. I was an hour away and couldn’t leave to go and meet him. The driver said he just decided to come early and just put them on my front porch. This is $4000 worth of fragile windows that took 3 months to arrive. My wife had to leave her work and miss a day of pay to go watch the windows until we had someone that could put them in the garage. They said someone over 18 had to be there but that didn’t matter. They still just left them out on the porch. This is ridiculous and after calling and speaking to the delivery department, customer service and the store, no one seems to give a damn that this happened. The lady at the store just told my wife to “move on because there was nothing that anyone could do about it. Of course I signed a contract and since they are custom made windows I can’t return them. Our next project was carpet for 3 rooms and for sure there is no way we are hiring Lowe’s to do this.
Do not buy a big toolbox from these guys. I had a huge Craftsman toolbox delivered and there were no keys for the bottom chest. They even told me sometimes customers walk off with keys. How about unlocking the toolbox and putting the keys in some sought of lockbox at the customer service counter. Easy as that.
Really bad experience with Lowes delivery department. We only had issues with them, they did a really poor job and they scratch our walls when they delivered our new fridges, they did not even try to fix the problem. Now we have to wait for somebody to fix it and hopefully they can cover the damage. Also we are still waiting on our washer that supposed to be delivered 2 weeks ago!!I really recommend to do not purchase any appliances with them!!!
Not sure whats up with their appliance delivery. But I would not recommend pick up in store option. What should be a simple curbside or indoor pickup is being drawn out into an ordeal. Theres maybe 4 people working the entire store on a Friday. No one is here to help you. Customer service is incredibly poor. Someone will get that for you in 10-15 minutes is something youll have to get used to hearing at this Lowes
Its Lowes, what can you say. Their lumber selection leaves something to be desired. Seems wood prices have gone up by 40% while the quality has dropped across all these big box home improvement stores. Good selection of tools if you dont mind paying a bit extra for the name. If you come in for paint, put the order in immediately, every time we get paint at Lowes it takes 30min to get it mixed with little to no customers ahead of us. On the plus side, their selection of Christmas trees this year was good.
Don’t even bother using their website to see if something is in stock. It will say there are as many as thirty available, and when you go, there’ll be none. Customer service clearly couldn’t care less that their inventory is all messed up. They’re all too happy to waste people’s time.Appliance department is also a mess. They also don’t answer the phone most of the time.
Crazy winter event, day 6, we finally lose water. No big deal, as we have a place to get some. We were searching for buckets to fill when we ran into David and Hank. They helped in our search and had more helpful info for us! It turns out they will cut the untreated 2x4s into fireplace log size, and load it right into the cart for you! We have been lucky that our power has been on for the most part, but the couple of times it went out, we would have loved a fire. What great customer service! Thanks, guys!!
Avoid this Lowes if you can. No one walks you to the aisle they just say its there even when its not they will insist it is. 3 times this has happened...I spent over 1000$ in lawn mower equipment that I had questions about and after 45 mins of waiting I found stuff online on my own. The most recent experience is when my spouse went up there to get help finding a Milwaukee brushless drill and not a single person helped her after asking multiple people. Im thinking of just returning the $1500+ of stuff I have bought over the last 2 months out of principle even though it would take more time this location has wasted already but thats how upset I am at this point.
Terrible customer service. Placed an online order 2 weeks in advance. Online website said I would receive it on a Saturday. Did not receive a call to confirm or any kind of communication. I had to call them to find out if my order would be timely. The representative stated it would be timely. Come Saturday, I did not leave my house waiting for delivery. Called Lowes at around 1 PM. to confirm and again was told would be timely up to 7PM. The time came and went. My weekend is now completely off schedule without me being able to be productive. Called them around 7:10 PM. and asked to speak to manager as it is evident staff there do not care about what I have to say. They place me on hold 3 times and never returned (was on hold for 45 minutes). Im now uncertain as whether I will get anything on Sunday. I will personally go to the store to pick-up my items as it is more then clear that lowes only wants my money but does not wish to provide me with the items. Will NEVER purchase anything from lowes again. Amazon is always more reliable.
I ordered a range that was on sale and in stock at this location. The earliest delivery day was 3 weeks out. Ok, no problem. The day before the delivery, Lowes notifies me that they no longer stock this range and it has been discontinued. Ive spent over two hours on the phone via multiple conversations without anyone successfully able to help rectify the issue and provide a comparable discount for a new range. Very poor customer service and low levels of competency are found here.
My boyfriend and I went to our local Lowes to figure out a lighting situation - we are renting a house that has track lighting and two of the lights were out. Upon entering, the store greeter was super friendly and pointed us in the direction we needed. We were having trouble figuring out the specific light we needed to buy, and Gabe kindly assisted us in trying to solve our issue. He went above and beyond in customer service - he even helped us to take apart the light we brought in to make sure we were purchasing the correct item.Thank you for your fantastic customer support Gabe!!
I ordered a washer and dryer, and after FIVE different occasions where the delivery drivers never bothered to show up and didnt bother to contact me, I got a refund. This is ridiculous, and I hope Lowes actually fixes this problem or terminates the contracts of the lazy and incompetent delivery men.
Could not get 2x4x8 cedar lumber from competitor but you had it. Thank you so much! Working on chicken run and needed for door bracing. You also had a cool deck rail cap at 8ft with 2x2 notches all along. Bought this to use as chicken perch ladder combo. Very happy with the supplies in stock.
Stood waiting at customer service for close to 5 minutes all by myself while several while employees, all within only a few feet away were busy working on organizing shelves. They saw me but ignored me. Finally one of them stopped and came to do my simple and quick exchange that was on my Lowes card. No apologies or thank yous for waiting or anything.
Lowes staff went far beyond what I would have expected in dealing with some wallpaper this afternoon. The confusion was cleared up by the manager of the department where the blinds are and wallpaper are and they were most gracious and expeditious in helping me with my problem.
They may have some good deals during holidays- but I would strongly avoid purchasing any appliances here, it’s not worth the headache.Ordered a refrigerator from this location in May and was guaranteed it would be available and delivered when we moved in July. Not only was the fridge still back ordered when we moved, we received zero communication about it. It is now August, we have not received the fridge and after countless hours spent on hold, they can still not tell us when we’ll receive it. We have confirmed they’ve received 2 shipments of these fridges to their inventory since we ordered but they continue to dance around why we have not received it and have zero clue when they will be able to deliver.
At this point theyve taken the do it yourself attitude and applied it to customer service. I waited in line with ten people in order to use a self-checkout. There were no cashiers at all for a while, then, finally one showed up. Why even have multiple registers if youre not going to staff them?
I ordered a double door for the house I just bought. It’s the focal point of the house, and I am anxious for it. The weirdest thing so far is that they charged my credit card for the contract labor already, two months before they do the install, without telling me that ahead.? Over a thousand dollars. Surprise. The guy they sent out to measure said he would be installing, but he wasn’t. There is not one thing that’s gone ok with this. When the door arrived at the store it sat there until they notified me that they were sending it back because I didn’t pick it up. But the installer was supposed to pick it up. And I lost another two weeks because of their inept scheduling. When I call the store I will be transferred 5 times before reaching anyone. Then they are defensive and if there is a problem aren’t they supposed to be helpful? The worst is when I asked to speak to the store manger. Save yourself a big headache. Use another company.
Went to fill out the survey I got from online pick up but didnt have the receipt number so I came on here to say EXCELLENT curbside pick up! My order was ready within a couple hours, came out quickly and Gabe was super friendly and professional. Give that man a raise!!
I can’t express my gratitude with words, and I’m sure I can speak for the hundreds of families that the lumber department helped to stay warm in a time of devastation. The chopping of the untreated lumber in use of firewood for hours on end is truly heroic! Bravo gentleman! From my family to you all, we are very grateful. Great job.
Curbside pickup is not a thing at this Lowes store. They may have marked off the parking lots with signs and marked their store as available for curbside online. But this store is in no way equipped to handle the process of fulfilling curbside pickup orders. When you drive up to pick up your curbside order that you ordered online, the sign instructs you to call the store number. The sign says to dial extension 0. The voice prompt says hit 2 for curbside. So you do. And then it rings... and rings... and rings... No one answers, ever.I would be fine waiting for 10-15 minutes, thats no problem. But not being able to reach anyone to start the curbside process... maddening.Listen, I completely understand that new processes in this environment are being built all the time. But as a company, dont offer a service unless you are prepared to staff it. It makes for a terrible brand experience. Meanwhile, next door at Home Depot, they have a dedicated staff member outside just in case there are any drive up questions. The process happens entirely over the phone and there were multiple runners delivering curbside. Thats a process that works well. Lowes process is not it.
Website and app both said 28 of the items I needed were in stock. I only needed 2, but in reality 0 were on the shelves. Took me 20 mins to find an employee to help and I eventually flagged the cleaning lady who had to call over an employee. That employee (who took another 10 mins to get to me) was 20 feet away the whole time. I thought he was a customer since I saw no vest, no name badge. He saw me struggling the whole time but didnt once ask if I needed help. When he was forced to help me, I tried showing him what I needed. He couldnt be bothered to even look at what I was showing him and without checking, he immediately proclaimed they were sold out of whatever it is you need. I finally gave up, went down the street to Home Depot, had 3 employees approached me before I even got to the aisle I needed to go to all asking me for help. They also immediately found what I was looking for after I showed them a picture of what I needed and I was out of the store in less than 3 minutes. I guess I know where to go next time (Home Depot) and where NOT to even bother trying to go (Lowes) for my home improvement needs. That was a pretty amazing way to make someone feel like they are unimportant, Lowes! Very unhappy with how I was treated and ignored and then made to feel like I was a bother. If I could give a negative rating, I would.
Went in to find a new light fixture and we were quickly greeted and helped by Gabe. He was super kind and went out of his way to help us explain how the fixture worked and how to take it apart and replace it. Loved his time and effort. He had very kind energy and enthusiasm. The man is dedicated to quality customer care ! Thanks Gabe!!
Avoid appliance purchases here at ALL costs. We ordered a washer/dryer Nov 9th to arrive the 12th. Then it was changed to the 13th. On the 13th we were called and told it would be the 16th. On the 16th nobody showed. I had to call 12 times before anybody would pick up a phone. When we finally spoke to someone they told us delivery would be the 17th now. We were given a 4 hour delivery window - nobody showed. After multiple call attempts I finally spoke to Daphne who told us delivery would be the 18th. To my surprise they actually showed up today - only to bring two different colored washer and dryer. After 14 calls today with no answers to multiple departments, and being put on hold for 20 minutes until I hung up, I gave up and went to the store. In the middle of a pandemic when I was trying to avoid contact - I had to find a person to speak to to get any answers. This process has not been easy or convenient, much less acceptable. Every part that could go wrong has. Save yourself the stress and headache and take warning from my experience. Home Depot is one light down the road and has any business I can give it now.
I purchased a hot water heater that stated it had same day Installation which if you have a family is a huge selling point. Having a baby and being without hot water is trying. As we reviewed the paperwork it gave a 5 day period it could be installed. Not what all the signs prominent placed say but I understand plumbers have availability so it may take a day or two. On the second day I called the installer whom said they were waiting on Lowes to provide the heater. On the 4th day I called again, same answer, waiting on Lowes. Called Lowes and was given the run around about the installation date. I was told that the seller never guaranteed a date which they did. In all the corporate doubletalk to avoid blame they essentially said it was my fault its not installed. The employees were rude and unhelpful. Home Depot is right down the street. I will be taking my business there from now on.
Lowes used to so much better than Home Depot ..Now theyre worse.. try calling the 800 number customer service you will be put on hold or if you do the call back theyll call you back after almost an hour and disconnect ... then you have to do it again and then theyre very rude when they answer if you do curbside they do not answer the phone.. youre unable to get curbside right now but they offer it .. the manager in the store if you complain to her about any of this they dont care.. try talking to them now.. Lowes and Home Depot are equal.. I guess Ill have to start shopping Walmart.. and other hardware stores or order everything online .. I will not be able to go back in there any more Lowes or Home Depot
If you want to wait a month for major appliances, just for a no call-no show on delivery day, shop at Lowe’s. You’ll love to be told “can you call back later?” after being on hold for over an hour. That’s not all! Having half your store-pickup order being canceled without notice is just an added bonus! If you love constant inconvenience, this is the right store for you!
Came in with 10 minutes to spare before closing. They had what I needed and I got to it and got back quickly. The only issue I had was that they only had one check out lane open. All of the self check stations were closed. There were at least 8 other people trying to pay for their stuff and leave. They didnt get another cashier up to the front until the store was already technically closed. Its hard to get out of the store before closing if you have to wait in line behind 8 people.
Collectively, over 40 minutes spent on the phone. The result of this time was two two-sentence exchanges each with two different customer service associates. The rest of the time was either hold music or ringing tone. Ultimately, I spoke to no other associate and my installation was never arranged. How simple would it be to pick up the ringing phone and say, The installation manager is not available now, they are in the store on x-y-z days and times. I get being busy. I get being understaffed. I get having to accommodate new and less-than-ideal procedures under the current conditions. I do not get why a store would offer such absolute disregard for their customers.
Clean, very organized store. Larger sized store with more options than some of the other stores. Only criticism is that multiple staff seem to avoid customers and not actively seek if they can help. Ive stood in aisles multiple times, had employees walk by and look right at me when Ive put my hand up and they walked by.
This was the worst customer service experience ever. I came in to Lowes looking to purchase a washing machine for my mother. Went to the Appliance section found the one that I wanted and then waited for about 20 minutes for an associate to be available. I know this because it was 1115 when i got there and 1140 when I finally got some help. I showed him what I wanted he was very nice at first and when he went to ring me up things start to go downhill. Like I said the washing machine was for my mother who lives in Round Rock. When I told him this he told me that he couldnt order the washing machine at that store. He said the only way that I could order the washing machine was online or to go to the store. I feel it is kind of crazy that the stores dont have a system that allows you to order from any store. He did say though that since I was in the military that if I went up to customer service they could put it into the computer and I would get 10% off. So I did and when I left the store I went home to order the washing machine from The Round Rock Store. Well when I got back to Fort Hood I couldnt find my ID. I spent the next three days searching everywhere for it. I dont know if anyone has ever tried to get onto a military post without an ID but it is terrible. I wasted hours every day trying to get on and off post. Not to mention I couldnt get any of my work done because I needed my ID to log into the computer.I was just about to go and have a new ID made which is a process in itself. When I thought maybe it was at Lowes. I called and sure thing it was still a customer service. So I had to drive the 86 miles one way back from Fort Hood to get my card. I didnt get an apology or anything. I dont understand why do you so see it didnt just call me. He obviously had all of my information I just gave it to him and he had my name to look it up.It doesnt help that dealing with the Round Rock Store was terrible and that they kept messing up my delivery dates. When trying to set delivery I was hung up on three times . Not to mention that the prices at the stores for the washing machines are different. Ive always purchased my appliances from Lowes. in fact I have a washing machine a dryer and refrigerator and all my tools from there. But I dont think this is going to be the case anymore. Its just as easy to go to Home Depot they have the same appliances at the same price and at least theyre willing to help you and not just passed the buck to someone else. Not to mention they probably would have given me an apology for making me drive the hundred and sixty miles to get my card back.
I attempted to return an item that was new in the box with a protection plan within the 90 day window. I have never used the item or even taken it out of the box. The employee stated i could not return the item because Lowes only allows returns within 30 days despite have a protection plan and purchasing the item on the Lowes credit card. I was also informed by the sales associate during the initial purchase that I would have 90 days to return the item, not 30 days.
If I could give a no star , but comment, I would. Your key making machine does not work and it continues to make keys that dont work. Your return department does not communicate to tell them . 2 times I was told this will work. Went to a locksmith and done, fits. You have cheap keys and a broken machine! Very frustrating when I asked if I could use the self serve after the back and forth twice. They said no, it wouldnt be an even exchange. You have to pay more for that. Mind you, this is after I went back and forth with two keys that did not work.
Headline -- 7 Weeks to Purchase and Install (Maybe) a MicrowaveOn January 1, we visited Lowes to find a replacement for our microwave. Lowes was promoting a holiday sale. The appliance department was not staffed. We waited 5 minutes for assistance (probably would not call what our young children were doing, waiting). We gave up and tracked an associate down. We waited another 10 minutes to actually speak to someone in the department. Appliance associate informed us that we could not purchase a microwave until we had someone come out and measure for fit. We paid $35 for this service. No one from Lowes called to follow-up on the measurement appointment. On January 6, we called Lowes, concerned that our order had been forgotten. At the time of the call, we were told that the sale ended on January 8. We had the option to go ahead and purchase the microwave of our choice, on sale, and then hope that it fit. The customer service rep assured us that we could return/exchange it if it was the wrong size. On January 7, we measured the space above our range and purchased a microwave online to avoid missing the sale. The measurement appointment was still, miraculously, not scheduled. on January 18, someone finally came out to measure. We were promised that an install appointment would quickly be scheduled. On January 22, we still had no contact from Lowes re: the install appointment, so we called. Lowes had a record of the visit to our house, but the measurements had not been input into their system (an oversight by the third party vendor who handles install). Without the measurements, nothing alerts their system to schedule an install. They corrected the error. (In a stroke of good fortune, we got the measurements correct and no return was necessary). An install appointment was scheduled for February 7 from 1P - 5P. Left the office at midday to accommodate the install. As I type this at 4:35P on February 7, the install associate has not yet arrived to complete a transaction, of a single, small appliance, that began on January 1.
I was looking for outlet covers, while in the electrical isle I asked a person who was stoking merchandise if he work there and he responded Im not an electrician I responded all I need is to find this covers ( showing him A picture) of my phone he said is on the next isle and pointed to the next isle. Not first unsatisfactory experience I WILL NOT RETURN TO SHOP AT YOUR STORE.
What can I say that you probably dont already know. My preferred home improvement store. Selectiin and customer service it typically better than the alternatives. That being said, steer clear of the north Austin Lamar Lowes and a manager there Paul Perez. Worst store in Austin, and the worst customer service imaginable. That store sucks.
Ohh my gash..!I been on many many Lowes stores around the country.But. This one located on Brodie ln was super awesome. The guy at the nursery helped me as soon I got there and understand all my needs. For real, this guy has real costumer service passion!!He was ready to find out my bugambilia food plant.I got a very bad experience looking for that specific item on some home depot stores. And when I asked him for help, he was ready to do it.Thanks to him. I come out from that Lowes store with three roses plants.More food plant for my other plants. And a couple more stuff.. which I doesnt had the intention to buy them.Unfortunately I didnt remember his name, but if some manager go to ask for my helper, then they will find out who was.Super costumer service passion of him.
Very nice and organized very helpful staff. Thank goodness they had what I needed. This is one of the nicest Lowe’s I’ve been to in Austin. It’s hard to find thing in stock and this place looks like it really keeps up with inventory. Checked out fast lady was pleasant and smiling.
It was a VERY disappointing trip. If I knew how to give a half of a star, that is what I would have given them. I had printed out a copy of a clearance sale for a electric pole saw. They had it marked to $69.99 in the store but my printout had a price of $39.99 with an expiration date of 02/20/20. They would NOT honor it. They said that just because the online site gave the price of $39.99, it did not apply to all of their stores. They could however, come down to $49.99. The Lowes site had stated the number they had in stock so I dont understand why they would not honor the stated online price. I dont live close to the Brodie store and so had made a special trip in the rain just to purchase this item. Although I have shopped there on occasion, I sincerely doubt that I will ever shop there again.
Terrible experience with Lowes’countertdop sales people. They would not give me an itemized receipt for the charges. Even the store manager wouldn’t. On my own I found they overcharged me over $100 dollars. I’m still trying to collect. They were deceptive and dismissed my requests. I spent over $1400 at their store. Demand an receipt for the charges before you pay!
Lowes is without a doubt the better place to shop for home improvements, hardware, building materials, paint supplies, window treatments, patio furniture, plants, etal. The quality of service is very high. The staff are friendly and accessible, knowledgable and helpful. Not once have I had to roam looking for help. I even received help loading items from an employee who wasnt even working at the time. Its a very clean, well organized, and pleasant place to shop!
We purchased a rather large sink cabinet for a customer today at this location. After purchasing we worried it was not going to fit in the suburban! Jordan, Aaron, and Larry from the Pro Team Service came to the rescue. Not only did they get this 320lb piece in the car they were so professional. I’m sure they thought we were crazy!Brodie Lane is by far the best location.THANK YOU JORDAN, AARON, & LARRY!
My fiance and I ordered three appliances from this location (fridge/washer/dryer). Since the washer/dryer would take longer to arrive, we scheduled the fridge delivery five days earlier than the washer/dryer delivery while we were working with the employee in the store. One week after we placed our order, we received a voicemail from the store employee saying that our fridge was ready, and would be delivered the same day as our washer and dryer.I called the store back and spoke with the operator. I explained the fridge should be delivered five days before the washer and dryer. She said that she updated the fridge delivery date, but could not provider me a confirmation number when I asked for one. Several days later, I answered a call from the salesperson saying that our fridge was scheduled to be delivered the same day as our washer and dryer. I again explained that the fridge should be delivered five days before the washer and dryer. The salesperson said he updated the delivery, but couldnt provide me with a confirmation number. The morning of the expected delivery, I called the store to find out what time our fridge was scheduled for delivery. The employee said it was not scheduled for that day, and would be delivered the same day as our washer and dryer. I explained my frustration, and was transferred to an assistant manager. Fortunately, it was early enough in the day where the assistant manager was able to add it to that days deliveries. The fridge delivery people/installers were wonderful.Five days later, we called to find out what time our washer and dryer were going to be delivered. The employee said that we were scheduled for late afternoon, and the delivery team would call us at least one hour before they arrive. Unfortunately, the delivery team called at lunch time, and said they were 15 minutes away. They did not call at least one hour in advance. And that forced me fiancee to leave her activity early and rush home.It seems like the store employees and delivery employees are not on the same page. Therefore, I would recommend ordering appliances from this location.
If I had to put a number to happy, polite employees at this location, I would say 1%.The only reason I go there is for glass cutting and if a client happens to select a paint brand they carry. I actually try to steer my clients away from anything Lowes.Just yesterday I was asking a girl at the paint counter if there was a specific color card. I said excuse me 4 times before se looked up and said Im mixing paint for someone, hang on...LIKE I WAS SUPPOSED TO KNOW THT.Never pleasant. Its Home Depot for me!
This store is very nice - employees are engaged and ask if you need help rather than you having to track someone down or flag them as they are very clearly looking away from you as they are walking (as Ive experienced at other Lowes stores.) In addition, the paint staff is great - really helped me talk through selection choices on paint color, as well as understanding lighting, etc. to get me to the best possible color for each room. They also gave some good pointers on tools and equipment to buy (and not buy!) Customer service at this location is also excellent - I had an issue with submitting a rebate form and they were able to assist me with figuring it out, following up, and making me whole financially (thank you in particular to Guillermo!) on an issue that the Lowes Corporate Customer service was unhelpful with resolution on.
I ordered an oven and called to check because it’s been 3 weeks and I’ve heard nothing. I was put on hold for 53 minutes and finally someone picked up and told me the original employee I spoke to just left me hanging! The oven still wasn’t at the store so I cancelled. I’ll be going to Best Buy.
For the first time ever, I noticed that each aisle had at least 1 employee in it, actually helping people!! I was SHOCKED!! I was just there to kill time(who am I kidding, I wasnt leaving without some sort of tool!), and figured Id test one of the employees. I found the youngest one I could find, and started asking him for some very obsolete items, from one side of the store, to the other. He blew me away! He knew where every single thing was, he even knew where one item(that was out of stock), was supposed to be! I wish I would have gotten his name, because that kid needs a raise! The Big Orange Box cant touch Lowes employees(or quality of lumber)!!
I am not sure is going on at Lowes. I placed three orders in the past week online for local pickup. The first order they shipped to my local store from Ft. Worth. It is still not here and they the items in stock at the local store. The second order was all in stock items from my local store and they shipped the same items from another store. They are still not here. The third order was all in stock items. I ordered them at 2:06 PM on 10/21/2019. I arrived to pick them up at 12:15 PM 10/22/2019 and they still were not pulled for pickup. I hope they are slacking off like their competition. This is why I quit using HD.
Purchased Kobalt Router & Table set but after putting it together i noticed the main function on the router to raise & lower shaft was not working so I took it apart & noticed that the main chamber was broken inn half so i took it back & exchanged for another one. Got it home & noticed it had the same problem broken chamber. Okay there were only 2 art that store so i went to three other side of town. This store had 8 of them so i started reviewing then & found that all 8 had the same broken chamber so none of the 10 i personally tried will not work & should be taken off the shelves. So i asked for Mgr & informed them & showed them my findings & they said seems like a manufactures defect do you want your money back. As so many of us these days spend tons of time researching to find the best one for your budget & this unit won but i needed router today I had to purchase elsewhere. Very sad I had to spend the same money for a less quality unit.
I recently bought a washer and dryer. I specifically picked Lowes because of the free delivery and instillation. I asked for morning delivery, which was a week after I had purchased the set. They arrived at 12:30, which was later than expected, given that they said the set could be there as early as 7am.When I was in the store, I was unsure of which prong I needed for the dryer, so I told the employee which year my apartment complex was built, and he sold me the wrong one. Not a big deal at the time. When they came to set my washer and dryer up, they left my dryer in the middle of my dining room.I then had to go back to Lowes and exchange the prong myself. The lady who returned it was extremely rude when I told her I didnt have the credit card that I had bought it with....I figured it would be in the system with my order. I had to go find the new prong cord that I needed, after asking 3 employees which one I needed, finally someone helped me.I told the salesperson what happened and when I asked about instillation, they said that I could set it up myself because it was simple. After going home and not having any luck, I called to set up another instillation appointment two days later. I took a half day of work so that I would be there when they came. After 7pm, I called and asked if they were still coming. The lady on the phone assured me that I was on the list. I called back at 9pm, she assured me once again and said they were running late. Called again at 10:30pm and she said I was probably their last stop. They never showed up. When I called the next day, I found out that my appointment was never put in their system. Instead of making another appointment and taking another half day at work, I hired someone to come and set it up.I really wanted to like this Lowes since Im within three miles of it, but now I will go out of my way to go to Home Depot, Best Buy, Sears or any other appliance store so I dont have to deal with this Lowes.
Less crowded than home Depot. Good prices and friendly service. Unlike home Depot down the street, they dont have a self serve handsaw cutting station for cutting small pieces of wood. They do however have a large saw and do any large cuts for you at no charge for wood you buy. Come prepared with the measurements and you can walk out with the size prices you need for your project if you dont have a circular or reciproating saw at home.
Michael at self checkout was so helpful and concerned with finding assistance to cut some chain. Aisle 15, waited over 10 minutes, one employee wearing camouflage vest walked up and said someone will help you, waited and waited. Why couldnt he help me. Next time Ill visit home Depot.
Well Jackie I told you I would hold you responsible after calling 4 times and you assured me after the 5th time that I could get a simple question answered. Just a simple question about ordering material that your store carries! But yet again I get cabinets and you would think cabinets could answer countertop questions but no! No no no thats too simple, not cross trained and certainly out of that Dept. Apparently I am the dumb one to try and do business with Lowes. I will stay with lets say Amazon.
This Lowe’s has the best selection of plants anywhere! They also always have an area with “reduced” plants that you can purchase because they are “on their way out”. But, if you’re like me and love to nurture things back to health , have a green thumb or just love a challenge, then you’ll enjoy that area.
Poor customer service and careless attitude from the cashier and manager who was contacted by the cashier via the phone.I went to visit this location to check on wood floor pricing for a 1,500 sq ft project. While there I grabbed a box of 48 fluorescent light tubes. The price at the register was not the same posted at the shelve. Cashier called the manager by phone and their response was that the item was not on sale - take it or leave it. I asked to speak to the manager and the cashiers response was he is in his office and he already said the item is not on sale. When I asked if someone could go to the shelve and confirm the posted price tag, the cashier responded I am not authorized to leave my register. Keep in mind I never claimed the item was on sale nor I asked the cashier to leave the only register they had open on this big box establishment - 1 register. Not only they did not show any interest to verify their posted price, their attitude and customer service is the worst you will find in South Austin.I was happy to walk away and take my business to Home Depot including the wood floor project. Lowes Corporate: take a visit to this location before it is too late! You are losing ground rapidly.
Came in to purchase drawer pulls for a dresser around 12pm on a Friday. I saw plenty of employees but none of them assisted me or asked if I needed help finding anything. I walked around till I found the drawer pulls, found 3 that I liked, then since I couldnt the employees walked by without stoping I asked a fellow shopper on two aisles over for her opinion. She was nice and was loading up a cart of flooring all by herself. Got my drawer pulls, found some felt floor protectors and went to check out. There was a young Male employee at front end of the aisle near the glass cutter who asked if I was finding everything ok and I told him I did. The cashier did not smile, was not friendly and in fact didnt say anything except for the total to me. I work retail and I have been to this Lowes before and have had decent service, but today I didnt.
Lowes off Brodie has been my go to location because I generally can locate what I need quickly and check out fast. Today there was a snag. Needed items that this store only had one left so i asked if they would call the IS 35 FeFrontage Road Lowes to locate another one. After a 15 minute wait he returned to tell me I had to call and buy it ourselves and then pick it up curbside. I had asked to pay for it all and just pick up the other outside or have it sent to Brodie store for me to pick up. He said I had to call them.I looked at him and said you dont know how to do it, do you? And he admitted he didnt. I told him he needed to learn and we headed to the other Lowes to complete the shopping list. FWIW the IS 35 Lowes was friendly and had the item (we had the item # which made it easier after tracking down an employee.Lowes is still my go to store over Home Depot but i think COVID has probably cut into new employee training.
As with many other reviews of this Lowes, terrible customer service. I was left waiting for more than 30 minutes due to the cashier continuing to use a card reader that had been malfunctioning for at least several customers (according to her). She thoroughly locked down the register on my purchase and then tried to manually process my debit card as a credit card purchase, which I refused to sign as I do not have a credit card with my debit card bank. I asked her to cancel the entire transaction, which she couldnt do.So, she gets on the phone and calls for the Head Cashier, abandons the cash register I was at, opens the adjoining cash register that WORKS and proceeds to start checking other people out. So, I spent the next 20 minutes waiting for the head cashier to NEVER show, then waiting again for an IT guy to show, and then finally for a manager to show. The manager finally said he processed a refund to me, rather than cancelling the transaction as I had asked him multiple times. I had signed nothing nor gave them a PIN number, so its somewhat interesting that it ultimately went through without any verification nor having a credit card account with that bank. The $180 charge appeared on my checking account the next day without my approval and is still there three days later. I agree the nearby Home Depot has its issues, but considerably better than this place.
After a month of a delayed washer/dryer delivery, i went to get a straight answer as to what the deal was.. turns out my order was 2 washers vs a W/D. Theyre archaic order management software is terrible. Cancelled order, went to Best Buy and will have delivered in 2 days. Avoid any Lowes for appliances...was very impressed with Best Buys knowledge, high-end inventory and ease of purchase.
Very handicap accessible. Carts are always in good shape, charged & w/ample availability! The store is always clean, their return policy is great & when u can find sum1 2 help ya there, they truly do, hahaha. All in all, a very peacefully, quiet hardware shopping experience w/items that are of a bit better quality or mayb just a wee-bit fancier ;)
So, got two emails in one day from Lowes. One said my recent purchase was going to be a month late and gave me a chance to cancel. The other said come in and pick up your order. Online had I asked for the free shipping to my home and got a delivery date of about 4 days later. When I went to the store, (not my home and a week later than their date), they could not find it. After a half an hour of bumble-fery, someone found it and said the other person missed it because it wasnt in the package she expected. I predict they will soon be a lumber only outfit. BTW, I ordered online because they didnt have the part in the store.
It may not seem like there is a much point to reviewing a Lowes. Youve been to one, youve been to all of them, right? Our local Lowes in SW Austin is huge and has always had a great selection whenever weve needed anything. I cant speak to how it compares to other Lowes, but I can talk about their customer service.I was the worst kind of customer: returning an item without a receipt or the original credit card (the number had been changed). I then wanted to exchange the value of the returned item for an item I had ordered online and was picking up - and so had already paid for. This involved two returns - one of them on good faith alone - and an exchange with store credit. This is the type of thing that is possible due to store policy but made not awful by how the staff handles it. Jess handled my high-maintenance nonsense with humor and aplomb. I wish I could return everything there.
Contrary to theyre name, overall, Lowes doesnt have low prices compared to other similar stores.I purchased an appliance which was on sale and the staff except for one person seemed as if they were all in training. They didnt have answers to my questions. Also, when I called, it took a long time before someone would answer and when they did, I would be transferred to another department in the store and my call was never picked up
Lowes of this store (Brodie, 78745) is getting less and less customer friendly. The manager is so mean! Most of time, the staffs are as nice as home depot guys. However, Lowes didnt hire enough people to orientate inexperienced customers. Maybe this is the reason that it is frequently recommended by my handymen. Some local managers are not very considerate, or even mean.
I bought a lawn mower from Lowes tow days ago and when I got it home, I couldnt get it to start. I called your store and talked to Kris and he said to bring the mower to the store and hed see what he could do. He figured out what was wrong, fixed it, and started the mower for me. Then, he helped me load it back into my car. Kris is an angel!! Thank you for hiring such wonderful, helpful employees. Sincerely, Sarah in South Austin
I purchased a new Hisense dehumidifier 04/08/2019. Unfortunately, the pump on the device failed 07/2019. The malfunction of the pump was outside of the 90 day Lowes return window thus required contacting Hisense for a replacement. This company has a very inhumane replacement policy for individuals that require use of such a device for medical reasons. Hisense requires a picture of the device power cord cut before they will begin the process of mailing a replacement. Managers and supervisors with this company were deceptive in assuring me if I followed the process of cutting the cord they would expedite the item and it would not take 7 -10 business days to arrive. Needless to say, customer service reps have claimed not to have received the required warranty documents as well, management for the warranty department have failed to expedite shipping of the item and have continued offering excuses for why the item has not been shipped. If you medically require use of a dehumidifier please purchase a more reliable brand. Hisense products are substandard in quality as mine failed to work after three months.
Lowes is a great alternate to Home Depot. The one l go to here in South Austin is right down the street from the other. Not only do they compete but if you miss a sale at one dont worry the other is coming up. What is really niceis during the Holiday season each hassales that makes your dollar go further.Be sure and check on discounts for senior citizens, military, first respondersand law enforcement. In other words each has a number of ways that could save you money soooooo ask? Happyhunting and above all if you find you are displeased or want to just change colors, each will accommodate withlittle or no hassel. Oh yes one more thing, both deliever and haul off yourold appliances at no further cost!
Pricing is fishy. I often find buying parts separately is cheaper than buying a kit, e.g. wall socket and wall plate vs a bundled kit. Customer service is pretty poor in the aisles - no one around to help, and people that dont work in the area always go find help but I think thats their excuse to leave your problem unresolved because no one ever comes back.Installation and contractor services are horrible. I tried to get a door installed - contractor never called, ended up buying and installing a door myself. (Their online videos are actually very educational.) I tried to get kitchen cabinets and countertops - the free design service people didnt want to help. Design service email responses were a minimum of 2 weeks turn around - when I went to the store, they were either a)idly busy with a customer or b) playing a game on their smartphone. When I finally was at a point in the design service to get my home measured - I was told I would be contacted in 2 days, didnt hear anything for a week. I got fed up - it wasted 6 weeks of my time. I ended up ordering custom cabinets from another place and doing it myself. They seem really good at not wanting to earn my business, so Ive turned a bit sour on going to Lowes.I used to go to Lowes for everything, but their competitors have seemed to up their game that I dont shop there as much despite the fact their consumer card gives me 5% off.
Be advised that orders for Pella doors at Lowes may be SIGNIFICANTLY later than projected at time of order, so do not rely on the projected delivery timeframe in your quote. I special ordered two Pella exterior doors at Lowes way back in early April for $5K+ and was told to expect deliver in about a month. The first door was about a month late and the second has been delayed several times. Im told not to expect it before the end of July, over three months late. This is not Lowes fault obviously, but Pella does not give them accurate information, so dont rely on any delivery timeframe projections.
Not good, but Store Mgr. tried to make things right.Usually very poor customer service. What can I say? Customer service, and even managers, consistently dont know store or vendor policies. The same mistakes are repeated again and again.I have literally had to get their corporate office on the phone to explain to the managers their own price match policy on two separate occasions.Another time they promised I could buy an extended warranty on a floor model, then after taking it home and having it installed, they told me they could not do an extended warranty. I had to return it!. Also, the RTM manager gave me wrong details about a manufacturer warranty, saying I would not get the remainder of the manufactures warranty on an that had been returned. I called the manufacture, and again it turns out they were wrong about that too.I have learned to always double check with another Lowes to verify any thing the Brodie store says. It is right down the street from me and tend to have a wide selection of inventory, or I would tend to not go there.I am going to have to go down there to check on an item that they say is in inventory, not in inventory, that I was supposed to get a call about but have not received. They are the only store that has the item I want; it is not available on line, and my schedule is now messed up because I had made arrangements to pick it up yesterday. This a typical experience at Lowes Brodie Ln.Follow up:The morning manager said I was rude and kicked me out of the store. He acted almost unstable. This guy was very unprofessional and not a good manager. He was involved in the interactions I mentioned above. He said I always complained. He did not stop to consider my complaints are actually legitimate and the problems were significant.Later, after all the trouble, I spoke to the store manager who made a good faith effort to try to make things right. I must say that although the store has some problems, the store manager strives to be a good professional.Lowes on Brodie Ln.
Every single person I met that worked there was kind, helpful, and went out of their way to answer all of my questions. They did not act like they were too busy. It also was easy to find help in every department I was in....there were 4 different big needs that I had. I also got some really great deals!
Once decent, but total nightmare experiences recently. Purchased two major appliances. Charged for appliances and installation, 3 weeks later (estimate was one week) no one ever showed up. Tried to call multiple times - each time the system hung up on me after 30 minutes on hold. Left a message no one called back. Still trying to get a refund.
Henry in the lumbar yard is seriously the best! So happy I came here instead of Home Depot! I walked in and he greeted me and asked what I needed today then proceeded to help me pick out the 4x8 plywood panel and cut it perfectly! Hes great and I highly recommend Lowes over the Home Depot down the road.
Dirty facility and unhelpful staff. Came in today to buy a pumpkin and a clamp light, but the pumpkins were moldy and all the clamp lights were visibly broken. Specifically the aluminum shells were bent and/or punctured. When I asked a store member if they had any more that were in better shape they shrugged and said I dont know. I assume all we got is out here. You might go check in at Lowes?
Ive been here a number of times... I dont really like it.First, I have always had to search and wait to get help here. For the most part the help that Ive gotten here has been a bit off. Have you ever had an associate that told you incorrect information and thought it was the gospel truth? Well here I have on a couple of occasions. Fortunately I knew enough to know not to listen to them. Also had issues here at the customer service desk when attempting to do an exchange or return. I have never had issue at HD in this department. The store looks nicer and newer than the HomeDepot down the street but who cares if Im unable to get what Im looking for and the help is sub par.
They open at 6 and the management would not let anyone in till 6:03 because one register wasnt done counting their money. 3 minutes is not a lot of time to wait, but the manager was so rude about it that it was just a sad moment for Lowes. Absolutely no reason to not just put another employee there to protect the register.
Ralph was our sales representative and was very knowledgeable about the products, very courteous, professional and a happy fun person to talk with. He made us feel important and wanted to do everything he could to make this shopping experience as pleasant as possible. Kudos to Ralph.
We ordered a Pella window from Lowes in late April and were told it would be 3 weeks for delivery to store. It showed up a week early (which is no credit to Lowes, that was all Pella); we needed to make transportation arrangements with a friend since we dont have a vehicle large enough to carry the window, and we were assured by Lowes that there would be no problem in delay of pickup. 2 weeks later we finally went to pick up our window and nobody can find it in their warehouse - somehow, they seem to have LOST it. The manager told my husband to go back home while they search some more, and he would reorder it with a rush and discount if they were still unable find it. Three days later we still have heard nothing from Lowes, so I call the current manager on duty who doesnt seem to care about hearing my situation and just blows me off to some guy in lumber (not in doors and windows) who now will go look for it and not be able to find it. We have building permits, contractors and deadlines, and this ridiculous, irresponsible issue could potentially put us in violation which Im sure Lowes wont care about. Do they work on commission? Once the sale is made, they no longer care? That has been every experience we have had not only at this store but at every Lowes location we have gone to.
Hi! Twice this week Ive walked in the front door of the Lowes at 6400 Brodie Ln, Austin, TX 78745 and there have been 3 higher up level looking managers standing there swapping stories while I have looked for items/a team member to assist me to no avail. The place is woefully understaffed and mis-managed apparently...Finally ended up driving a block down to Home Depot after no one ever offered to help me and the managers never stopped their conversation. At least someone greets you and can point you in the right direction. The Brodie team is absolutely the worst. No one cares, no one has any idea where anything is..What is this deal with this place? Its in an upscale area, We have money, just help us spend it! #imdone #sofrustrated #customerservice? After DM on Twitter, I was told a store manager would call within 24 hours....Second DM on Twitter staing no one has called, I get a half-assed apology and an offer for 10% off my next purchase if I can remember her name... Not important enough. Typical canned corporate apology..... #apatheticaf
Worst customer service ever cant get my order which is paid for nobody answers the phone and nobody calls you back we have no idea what is going on. Even the managers are not doing their jobs cant find the number to a local District or regional manager either in corporate is of no help!
The worst customer service EVER! Ordered blades for my ceiling fan over a month ago. Was told they were ordered and call back in 2 weeks. Called back....Sorry, they were never ordered. Had an order number. Was told to call back. I called back. To save time, Ill shorten my rant. I called a total of 9 times. I was told on various occasions that the blades were ordered, they werent ordered, they dont know who I am, etc. The call that took the cake was when I called and asked to speak with a manager and was given to Tony, apparently an asst. manager. While on the phone, Tony told me he was talking to Kyle (in the Lighting & Electrical dept. and the first person I spoke to). I could hear him talking with someone. He then told me, the blades are in and are in our receiving dept. I was thrilled! He said he would call me back later that day to tell me when theyd been received and after that, I could pick them up. He never called. I called this morning and spoke to Juan who told me he couldnt find my order in the system and that his computer froze. He said hed call me back as soon as he restarted his computer. Imagine my shock when he didnt call back! How surprising considering the fabulous (and by fabulous, I mean HORRIFIC) customer service Id received so far. I called back and spoke to Nick, the manager, who told me my blades werent in receiving and theyd never been ordered. WTF? Nick giggled repeatedly at my debacle and offered no apologies, no explanation...basically told me oops. I will NEVER set foot in a Lowes again. Home Depot all the way, baby!!
Customer service really lacks at this location, most of the employees dont greet, acknowledge or offer to help me find something. Just stopped in for a return today. Wasnt acknowledged by any of the three at the return counter. One walked away, and one was helping one customer and the third named Tammy was just standing there talking to the employee helping the customer. The employee helping the customer asked Tammy to help me and the guy behind me with returns but she continued to ignore us. It wasnt til another employee walking by saw us there waiting and she jumped in to help us. Like I said customer service needs some work here. Even one of them saying hey well be right with you would have been nice.
Got goggles for protection when cutting wires. Looking for gloves also. The sales guy gave me several options. When I explained that I need more dexterity for sculpting witg wire. Suggested electricians gloved, which they did not have. Suggested also that if I snipped the finger tips off gloves, that would be about the same as electricians gloves. MONEY SAVED!
I spent a significant amount of money on new cabinets and counter tops. After a manufacturer delay, the Lowes installer was seen on my security system punching holes in the walls to find studs. See the uploaded pictures. The installer also damaged my appliances and broke a cabinet causing additional delays. 3 weeks later, the owner of the company has come to complete the job and stated this method of cabinet install is standard for new homes. Overall, the job is more than two months behind and Im still without a functioning kitchen. Search for video footage of the install on YouTube and soon TikTok.Update: it is more than a month later (4 months total since Lowes collected more than $23k), the drywall was repaired but the reinstall was a disaster. The owner of the installation company completed the work himself and demanded I disable my home security system before he would work on the job. Check out the crown molding pics: Gaps, misaligned corners, inconsistent reveal (and negative reveal in one area). He trimmed molding stating the ceiling was not level, but cabinet was mounted higher than the rest and not level.Lower cabinets were not straight, missing one trim piece, and not anchored to the wall. The end cabinet was movable by hand. I had to complete all the work on the lower cabinet myself to not further delay the counter measurements.Warnings if you are considering installed cabinets from Lowes: 1) Plan on 3-4 months minimum without a kitchen. 2) Be prepared to make numerous phone calls to keep the process moving. If you are not consistently proactive, the project will stall. 3) Be willing to disable your security system. 4) Have the tools and skills necessary to complete the work you paid Lowes to do.
Front end folks at the register and customer help are always great. The stock help guys are always helpful in getting items from a high shelf. I was in the appliance area for over an hour looking around. After about 30 minutes a guy with a clipboard wandered thru and said Ill send someone from this department over. Saw a few guys at the desk working on the computer but never came over to me. I researched items for sku, found available items in overhead stock bay and got the stock guys to retrieve it with a lift. Im a help myself kind of guy and prefer not to be hounded by salesfolks. Im happy enough to come back.
My husband and I were doing our first project together and needed 8 2x6x8 Cedar boards cut in half. We finally found a reluctant less than enthused employee to help us. Things seem to get better during our interaction but when we got home we realized that instead of being 6 inches tall all the boards were 5 and a half. We thought we could make it work but then also realized the reluctant employee did not cut all the boards perfectly in half. Some were over 4 feet and some were under. I was able to return the three boards that were cut wrong but what was most disappointing was that no one during my initial phone call and interaction with returns seemed to care that the 8 boards we bought were not labeled correctly on the shelf. I think we will go elsewhere for our next home project.
LOWES on Brodie Lane, Austin, TXI went in on Fathers Day Sunday and expected a mob but the atmosphere was calm and welcoming.I was looking for a specific weed eater for my hubby. I was directed to correct area by man working a table near the front. He was pleasant and precise. The LARGE wall was easy to find and many lawn care devices were mounted by the company producing them. VERY organized and each item had a price and info sheet framed on wall. There was an associate who came walking down the aisle with a couple while helping them with their questions. I decided to go one aisle over to grab something and then return... but the employee saw me turn and said Ill be right with you Maam!I am sorry I didnt get his name.... He was about 5 9 with short hair that was bright and kind of crew cut top. Maybe 150 lbs. When the couple were done he immediately came to my assistance. He was knowledgeable, and quick to point out differences in the units. In 20 minutes I was at the cash register paying the bill and adding on the replacement option for 2 years which he had told me about and pointed out how reasonable and how it was a no questions asked. You have a GREAT associate in this guy. As hard as it is now to find enough employees much less one who is invested, easy to talk to, enthusiastic, and helpful. He made me AND the couple feel as if WE were his most important customer when dealing with us individually.Check out was swift and the whole event was very pleasant!PLEASED = 5 stars! Please thank the associate!

2022-02-18It looked much better arranged. As much as tried to find supplies, staffing was negligible due to covid???.... I couldnt find many supplies, ie polycarbonate siding, 2x4x 16 wood planks.

2022-06-08I was sent to a different store, actually a couple different stores, to get replacement bulbs for indoor outdoor flood lights. I was told to go to a specific store because they would have them there and they did not. So then I went to the second store I was told to go to as a backup plan and they also did not have these specific bulbs. I ended up deciding to go to Lowes on my own. I should have gone there to start with. They always have what I need for the home. As far as the bulbs, I would have had to open up every box on the shelf and literally hold the bulb side by side with the old one to see if it was the right fit, and thats actually what I planned on doing, but that was not necessary thanks to the Lowes helpful and knowledgeable staff. He took me right to the one I needed. I was still slightly skeptical that it was not going to be an exact match. I was wrong. When I got home it was the perfect fit and the perfect match. Cant ask for better than that.

2022-05-21Self-checkout only. During my visit two days ago during a busy lunch hour, there were no associates working the cash registers in the main store. This has happened several times at this Brodie Lane location, which is the only location I go to. I want someone to check out my items rather than me checking myself out. Its utterly ridiculous that no one is working the cash registers. I do not want to fumble with a load of my items at the self-checkout, Lowes should be providing cashiers, I shouldnt have to do the work.

2022-06-02My husband and I were scrambling to figure out an issue that was time sensitive due to a sale ending at midnight. The issue was with the Lowe’s credit card, but the people at Synchrony were super unhelpful, so they sent us to the store… and I’m so glad they did! Sarah and Maddie at the customer service desk were phenomenal. Poor Maddie was probably supposed to have clocked out already but she stuck it through with us until the end. If management is reading this, please give these ladies a raise! There was another person initially helping us and I feel awful that I didn’t get their name. Best customer service I’ve received anywhere in a very long time.

2022-06-07Think twice.before buying a toilet here! On May 30th, I went to Lowe’s to buy a “Water Sense” toilet which was a qualified purchase for the Texas Tax-Free Memorial Day Holiday for energy / water saving items. The salesman In plumbing was unaware of discount, but encouraged me go to customer service & ask. He was a bright spot in a pretty abysmal experience. After waiting in a long line, I showed my phone to a young man in red vest who may have been a “Manager in Training” to view an article on this tax-free event which must have been poorly publicized. He glanced at my phone & said since he didn’t see item noted so the Kohler toilet would not qualify. His attitude was cool & dismissive. Clearly, he needs more training in manners & customer service.Undeterred, I asked another “Manager in Training” who was much kinder. He encouraged me to take a photo of toilet’s bar code & return back so he could check discount for me. Toilet qualified as tax-free purchase. His response was helpful.Additionally, I did not receive a call about installation. I called back today (8 days after my purchase) & was told that I already received two calls from Handy’s Lowe’s 3rd-party Installation Services: Supposedly first call was to tell me that toilet installations were delayed AND second call that my installation would occur on JUNE 25 (26+ days after purchase). However, I did not receive ANY calls from that number on my cell phone. No messages or missed calls.Nada! If I had known that it would take almost a month to install a toilet, I would have hired a licensed plumber or gone to another Home Improvement store.

2022-06-15Thank you Mark for helping out of a tight spot! Top notch customer service! I usually feel embarrassed to ask for help in these situations, but Mark was knowledgeable and helped me tremendously. I will be a new regular at this store!

2022-04-23We went in for a tool they said was available, then when we found only the display, a worker told us where it was, which we responded saying we checked there and only found the display. He didn’t say anything except it’s there. Didn’t offer to show us or anything. After checking again, we went to customer service where she paged for someone to meet us. We waited 15 minutes with no help & the only things close to our product were twice the price AND already opened, but the only one left. Then at checkout, we scanned the barcode that wasn’t on the open area & it wouldn’t work. The person who helped us slowly talked to us at how that was the wrong barcode, which we didn’t realize because we were trying to not let the items completely fall out of the box. He wasn’t friendly & was talking like we were stupid :( just a disappointing experience overall.

2022-02-24Just a lowes with lowes stuff. I always check the app before visiting to make sure what I need is in stock and so I know where to find it. Their spray paint selection is lack luster but for interior decor like shelving and wall hooks and plants, there’s a wide variety.

2022-05-18I called asking about used boxes. Instead of a simply, “no, sorry about that” they put me on hold without even saying anything, they picked up the phone multiple times to immediately put it on hold again Before I could get a single word in, and then hung up after 10 mins. Extremely disappointed in their phone etiquette.
