Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
This store is the absolute worst store that I have ever dealt with. I had someone come out for flooring measurements and have been trying to get the cost for everything and can’t get anyone on the phone. Not even a manager after waiting 15 minutes and then was hung up on. I will gladly take my money elsewhere as this store is the worst and needs new management because who is running the store clearly doesn’t know how to do so.
Went to Lowes yesterday around 12:30ish.We picked up a few odds and ends, bought a couple of plants. Were thinking of a new washer and dryer, so we decided to look. We walked around in the appliances for about 30 minutes, came across this set.Stood and Googled, cross refrefrancing, checking reviews, for another 15 minutes, no one helped us. At one point, a tall older man, and a younger man, that were in uniform.. brushed passed us saying excuse me , with the feeling of annoyance. We took what we had and went to the self check out. There was a lady there , we said , HI how are you today? She literally rolled her eyes, then went promptly behind her counter at self check out.. lolI said to her are you having a good day?She mumbled something..I can only guess, that she was annoyed 😒that we came into her space.. fear of Covid Maybe.I get it, I work in retail as well. But we still talk to our customers, we still wait on them, we still assist them, and my company is still running an increase in business. We just take extra precautions.I would absolutely lose my mind if any of my sales, or operations people repeatedly walked pass customers. We are going to purchase the washer and dryer, just not from Lowes. If people are being directed to ignore customers, then just shut the doors and switch to online chat, and curb side pickup only.
This is the worst Lowes ive ever been to. I am used to not getting any help in these crummy hardware stores, but this place takes it to another level! Requested 3 times and waited 33 minutes for them to help me and never showed up, store was not busy at all.I ended up pulling and loading up 185 1x4x12 boards myself..oh and i did not need help loading them that is easy, i just wanted them to move a few pallets so i could access them!!!They refused to help me, but if you are a woman and need an employee to rip a couple pieces of plywood for you then come here for sure.
This store is the worst place to shop. Not only are they HORRIBLE with returns, their staff are not friendly and obviously dont know their departments well. Let me be more specific. I made a purchase. The employee that was helping said I could return if it didnt work. I go to return it and they wouldnt take it back, even with the receipt! Staff not helpful at all. This isnt the first time, I would give a 0 if it would let me! Save your time and money and go to Home Depot!!
BAIT & SWITCH TACTICS AT ITS FINEST!Im a senior female who went into Lowes to purchase 2 storm doors & arrange for Lowes to handle the install. When I first went in, the salesman would not even discuss the doors with me until after their installer took measurements of my front & back doors.OK...fine...so I paid the required fees for Lowes to set up an appointment for my exterior door measurements.48 hours after my doors were measured, I went into Lowes to purchase the doors that I wanted for my home. The man in that area said Ben was at lunch & I needed to come back after an hour. After I pressed for assistance (so I wouldnt have to leave & return again) someone came to assist me. When my doors were entered into the computer, the cost was considerably higher than what was shown on the floor models. I was told it was because my size was different than the floor models. After I pointed out that the size was the same, a store associate told me cost has gone up because of Covid. When I questioned why prices werent changed on their floor models to match pricing in computer, she said they dont have anyone to make those in-store corrections & she basically insinuated the price difference was my problem not theirs. I asked for my measurements so I could go elsewhere & I was told the door measurements were their work product, even though I paid for that service. In other words, I was in a catch-22 situation & I was stuck.Sure glad they take care of vets by offering 10% discount, because their treatment of limited income senior females stink.
My wife is a black deaf handicapped woman. I am a white male.. She works in the garden center at this location. A few other white female employees harass her daily. My wife comes home crying. I have spoke to management about this several times. They do nothing but blow my wife off. It has come to the point we have had to get the police involved and we are starting a lawsuit against them. 1 star all day for letting handicapped employees be harassed.
Took off work to have dishwasher installed. Installer came and said he had bad news because they put the wrong connectors with the dishwasher and I need to reschedule. I asked him to get the connector and he said he was too busy, that he had other installations to do. I called the store and next thing I know he is leaving to get the correct part. He installs the dishwasher and I ask him to run a cycle to make sure it drains. He says no he doesnt have time, but tells me what parts to buy and how to install them if there is a problem. He leaves, I run a cycle, it doesnt drain. I call Lowes and they say they will call back in 3-5 business days to hear my issue. I paid cash for this. Iwaited a month for it, and now may not have a dishwasher at Christmas, but they have collected their money. Horrible service. Will not use Lowes again.
DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES ONLINE! We ordered all new kitchen appliances through the app. They rescheduled our order 5 different times. We asked off work to accommodate the delivery but then they rescheduled. When calling the store, you are transferred to various departments because appliances vs online orders are handled differently. So expect to be on the phone for a long time if there are any issues. When I called frustrated about how frequently it was being rescheduled they assured me my order would arrive on a certain date. Only part of my order was delivered and that was only because I had purchased installation services and they contract that out. I even still have not received the entirety of my order because they loaded the truck incorrectly so I yet again have to make myself available for their mistakes. You would think when you spend thousands of dollars you would have a better experience.
I bought a fairly good sized order of tile and backer board and a lot of other stuff , Lowes had it pulled and ready for pickup in just a little over 30 minutes , outstanding! The reason Lowes got my business was because the orange store took the very same order at 9.30 in the morning and still hadnt pulled any of my order by 6.30 that evening when I showed up just to see if the order was even ready since the orange box never contacted me in any way. So I cancelled that order and gave it to Lowes and Im glad I did.
Lowes has lots of higher quality items. More than Home Depot and I like it for that reason. A pretty good plant selection although they need to care for the plants better. Not enough carts in the garden department.3/12/22. The employees are great and so willing to help. That is rare these days. Got all I needed and a lot more!!
I needed a fireplace grate. The store stocked Christmas trees but didnt seem to have fireplace equipment. After the first associate sent me to the wrong place and the second one said he got no hit on his app and sent me to Customer Service, I stood in line for several minutes only to see the associate with an 8 year badge leave her station to load a large item in a car (rather than delegate someone). I didnt see her after that. Her 8 year experience would have been better served by offering information rather than walking across the parking lot. After several more minutes of the less experienced associate struggling on her computer, I left.
I had to stop by Lowes yesterday because I was on the hunt for a succulent soil mix. Well I finally found some at Lowes after several failed attempts elsewhere. I should have started here since Lowes almost always has exactly what Im looking for. I headed to the garden center immediately but I was slightly overwhelmed looking for a small bag of cacti soil, so I finally found a young man who worked there that was more than happy to help me locate the soil. He was one of the nicest & most helpful people whove helped me out in a while. I began browsing around a couple other aisles & as I wondered around I began encountering other employees who I have to say were all some of the sweetest most helpful employees anywhere. Its nice to come across a business where everyone seems very happy to be at work not miserable. So I have to give it to Lowes in McKinney at 380 & 75 for having some of the best, most knowledgeable, confident & nicest employees Ive seen in a long time at any Lowes. So if your in the area you should definitely stop in and shop here, you wont regret it. Thank you for making my shopping experience there yesterday an awesome one. You get 5 Stars from me, keep up the good work
Lowe’s has always been my choice for home improvement supplies. The store has always been clean and neat. The associates are always willing and eager to help. Their prices are competitive and the shelves are always stocked. I highly recommend Lowe’s for all your home improvement supplies.
This is one if my favorite Lowes Ive ever been in. Some of the kindest and most knowledgeable employees. Everytime I stop in here I have a wonderful experience and I really appreciate that. You should definitely stop by if you need any kind of home improvement anything. These guys & gals will get you fixed up. Thanks
5 stars for helpful staff but fall WAY short on inventory control. Store 1 supposed to have item but none on inventory. Store 2 supposed to have 10, cannot find item with 2 employees checking all over store. Call store 3 (supposed to have 4 in stock) from store 2 to verify it was really on shelf. It should not take 3 different store visits and 3 hours to get what I needed and they wonder why people use Amazon!
Went to lowes this year instead of home depot this year to buy a Christmas tree. Was i shocked when the kid looked me straight in the face and told me that they dont tie them down to my car. I had to spend 30 minutes in the cold rain tying the tree to the suv. I will never buy a tree here again!
Ordered online and I love the lockers to pick up the merchandise. It was my first time using the lockers so I mistakenly went to the service desk. I was the only customer there and yet I still had to say “Helloooo, is anybody working this desk?” (Former online pickup) if you don’t say something, they’ll definitely ignore you. They use to be better 10 years ago but now they’re like Home Depot.
Always helpful, today was busyThe lady in paint was very helpful! @ checkout the young man opened this large box to verify everything was there. It wasnt complete. He checked the stores in stock supplies, so we could go home happy with all the tool and their batteries together! Woohoo these people always deliver on fabulous customer service!
This location is close to my house and was my go to store. A little over year ago they had okay customer service. Something has changed. I have received horrible service for the last year or more. I went and waited in line until I got to the front, then while they were searching for my item the cashier told me she had to go and I would have to wait in another line to be helped. Even though I had already waited she couldnt wait another 3 minutes to complete a transaction she had started. Another time I was told an item would be ordered for me with a two week wait time. Okay, I agreed. Then a month and a half later after calling a couple times a week I found out the item had arrived. No call to let me know. When in the store there is never anyone around to assist. Once you find someone they have a reason they cant help you. They blame it on the directives from corporate offices. If Lowes headquarters is instructing them not to assist customers this will be a long term problem. That also begs the question on why other locations are not receiving these directives and are still helpful. I dont know if the manager changed and does not care about the customer experience or what the problem is but I will not be returning to this location. I do not like the views of Home Depot ownership but I will go there or another Lowes location from now on.
Worst customer service ever. Had a poor experience where we purchased appliances and had them delivered and installed, however we werent properly informed about installation details. When I called to remedy, was informed to come to the store to complete a service contract which, after corresponding via phone multiple times, was supposed to be prepared when I arrived. The contract was not ready, and I had to wait an additional 60+ min for them to figure out the confusion... 15 min for them to even acknowledge me waiting,,, then another 45 min for them to figure it all out. On top, I had to spend another $175 for an error on their part. No apologies, no credits, nothing for the error nor the inconvenience. Incompetent and deceiving with hidden charges.

I will NEVER shop at Lowes again. Go to Home Depot. I placed an online order this morning around 11:00am through this store. It was supposed to be ready for pickup TODAY. Since this morning the order has gone to three different cities in the Dallas metroplex, each one further from my home. It is 9.5 hours later and no one has touched the order yet. With every transfer, it goes to the back of the line. Stupid and inconvenient. False advertising. Stupid! Stupid! Stupid store!Update: cancelled my order the next day. Ordered from Home Depot. They had everything ready locally in two hours. Happy shopping.
Need a cart, better grab one from the parking lot on your way in the store.Watch out for the kids on the forklift, not only do they just mess around they dont know how to properly operate one.Good luck getting help & enjoy the long register lines. I noticed a kid watching twitch stream of a video gamer while checking people out.Its sad.
I strongly recommend NOT using Lowes to complete any jobs for your home. The store and materials are fine, but the contractors and management have horrible customer service. I ordered a custom sliding door for my patio in February. I was informed that the door broke THREE different times when shipped to the store. It finally came in without breaking (weeks and weeks after purchasing) and I took time off work to be at my home for the scheduled install. The first time the installer called in sick. I took off work again but then it rained which no one can control. The third week in a row of taking off work when the installer finally got to my house, he said he could not install it because it was the wrong size - the installers are the ones who measured my door and directed me which custom door to buy! The worst part about all of this is that I am the one calling and following up. If it wasnt for me calling and checking up on things, nothing it would get done. As it is, its FOUR months later and I still dont have the sliding door I paid for. Like I said, horrible customer service.
I just want to say that Justin the sales associate back in appliances went above and beyond for me and my husband and numerous customers. He basically was back there alone and getting swamped with people left and right and his customer service was really great with everyone! I would most definitely would recommend him when helping with appliances.
Lowes is an excellent place to shop and find all of your home care needs! This one in particular is usually pretty well kept and organized! The garden area is also plentiful of different types of flowers and trees for your choosing. Customer service is always great when i visit and I’m always able to find whatever I’m looking for.
The cashier in lumber not friendly. Rude when asked my son for military phone number for discount. He just got lowes cc and signed up for military discount. He does not work there and didnt know to give to her. Anyway pro svc rep was friendly and gave discount on ripped bags so giving lowes 4 stars for that
Well run Lowes store. They have a good inventory, and their employees that I have encountered were helpful and knowledgeable. I was unloading a hot water heater from the back of my truck, and a nice guy offered to help. I thought he was an employee at first, but it turns out he was just your average Texan.
This for home delivery and installation. We ordered a dishwasher delivery, installation, and haul away. It was delivered, with no installation or haul away. We called, were told everything was okay because we only paid for the hardware and haul away, despite having confirmed installation upon purchase. However, no one had hauled away the old one either. We asked for correction and were told we needed to pay 125 for installation. Despite our frustration, we said sure. Then we waited hours for a call back to pay for that and they wanted to charge us for haul away again on top of it, which we had an itemized receipt for showing we had already paid for. We were then told that only the installers do haul away. Well, they certainly took my money for haul away the first time and had no issues with it (because it was an installation, a fact they refuse to accept). Then they said they would refund me for the haul away and charge again, but I would have to wait 48 hours for the haul away refund. So it takes you 2 days to give me money back for the thing I already paid for but you can charge me instantly right now for a 2nd time for a service I have yet to recieve...I told them I would be hiring my own plumber to install and I will not be ordering from this store again. Extraordinarily frustrating to be lied to and gaslit. Was told that what I know happened couldnt of because their online system wouldnt let it happen right now...well it did guys. Ive bought fridges, washers, dryers, lawnmowers, and other expensive items from Lowes stores in the past with no issues. Id avoid this team.
I ordered curb side for the first time and it was such a horrible horrible experience. I kept getting tossed around over the phone. I did curbside for a reason since I was highly pressed on time that day. Finally I had to go in and get my order which defeats the purpose really.
Doing the ice storm that we had here in Texas our power was out and no stores had anything related to Heat?? This Lowes located at 75 and 380 were the only ones that had generators $$$ pricey we spent 915.00, by the time we made it back home our power was on therefore we didnt have to use the generator... we returned it with no hassle!! Thank you Lowes.
I tried to return two very large pots purchased at a different local Lowes and was told I had to take them back to the store they were purchased at. Lowes corporate site clearly states returns can be made at any store in the US. Read the other reviews. Avoid this store. Poor customer service! Never had this problem at Home Depot.
Cashier Jill had a poor attitude. Did not even greet or said hello. My wife and I came in to return an item that was purchased on 10/22. Never used the product. Jill seen the item and automatically stated to me that we dont return halloween items. Horrible customer service. That is not what your CEO is about.
The staff here is very helpful and friendly. Clean and well organized environment. I like the fact that they have enough workers in the store at any given time. This allows for better customer service. Im sure it may be a little more expensive for them to have so many people on the floor but if they want customer service to remain high this is a necessary evil. Particularly with all the competition out there. I think Lowes does a great job!
I went in today looking for some kerosene after having a awful customer service encounter at Home Depot, and the employee who was helping me here help me find what I was looking for in less than 5 minutes in a very respectful and professional manner. While at Home Depot, 4 employees later came to find out that the kerosene I was looking for was at a very high shelf and they where not happy about taking it down for me , just wasted gas going to home depot, will always go to Lowes from now on. Exelent customer service
The lovely lady at your paint counter was very unwilling to help me! Maybe because I looked like a customer that didn’t have money to spend I have no idea. I asked her about a paint that would work on furniture she pointed to certain aisle. The lady before me she gladly walked out from behind the counter and walked down the aisle personally picked out the item she was looking for and held a great conversation with her! Well I didn’t find the item she pointed to so as I left with a great disgusted look on my face she was in a great conversation with a man that wasn’t buying any paint and at this time she was sitting on the counter engage in a great conversation with him!!! Maybe one day I go back she be glad to help me but for now I will go to Home Depot for the home remodeling project .
I went to pick up pots for my flowers and gardening decor. They have a great selection, as usual. The lady at the register in lawn and garden was very nice. However, I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come help me put some heavier items in my car. The lady at the register called for help multiple times within those 20 minutes and no one ever showed up. I took it upon myself to call the store and explained to customer service how long I had been waiting and that the lady at the register had continuously called for help but that no one came. The customer service lady was very nice and apologetic. She informed me that she would tell a manager and get someone out to me immediately. Within 5 minutes a young lady came to my aid. She was very polite and surprisingly strong for her petite size. I had to help her load the items in my car. We were both around 5 feet tall and both tiny women. It must have been a sight to see. I was expecting them to send a larger male who could have lifted these items on his own with ease. But she gave it her all, and was very friendly. I appreciated her help. My advice to this location would be to staff heavier, especially during the gardening season. Also, if someone needs help with heavy lifting, send someone who can lift with ease that doesnt have to struggle. I give the girl that helped me credit because she really took initiative to execute great customer service. Waiting 20 minutes with no help is a bit ridiculous. I doubt Ill be returning to this location because of that.
I tried to get a handicapped cart and that was impossible.I was in a great deal of pain that day and was told if I ask the lady at customer service she would be more than happy to get me one. Unfortunately I was told to go out on the parking lot to find my own.I dont know how many poeple out there r handicapped but I would think u would be upset over this.I have been ha dicapped for years and i recieved disability.I try not to use the carts but every now and then I need to use one. If I wasnt in need I wouldnt of asked. Anyway I tried to call a manager and got no where. So if u see this please call the lowes store in McKinney and let them know how u Handicapped poeple feel about having to go out tf on the parking lot and search for ur own handicapped cart. Finally a nice guy got me one.he worked there. But the lady at customer service could of at least called someone to help her out if she couldnt leave her station.Anyway might be going to home depot.
Too bad there are no negative or zero stars to give. This experience was bad from day one. That was almost 3 months ago and we still have not got the situation fixed. Ive spent more time on hold than I care to talk about. No calls back when told, just run around after run around.I ordered a refrigerator on line that was in stock at a Lowes 8 miles from my house. Our refrigerator was not working and obviously we needed it quickly. Shopped around and they had one. I ordered it on line to be delivered. We received an email from a different Lowes that they would deliver it in almost 4 weeks later. They blame Corona of course but either way now Im stuck. After the month goes by without a refrigerator it finally comes. They install it and it leaks water. They come out 2 days later to let us know they cant fix it but will bring a swap to fix it. A WEEK later I call because I have heard nothing from Lowes. At this time Im told they had to order one. Now this is 6 weeks without a refrigerator and counting.I wait for a call but another week goes by so I call and Im told its scheduled for the 4th if July. I ask to confirm and Im told yes, we dont get any holidays off, it will be there. So on the 8th I call again. It should be in soon. Its now been 8 weeks. Here it comes just 4 more days. Finally its here. They install it and everything should be good. Till I noticed they broke 2 out of 4 light switches on the wall. Shouldnt be a big deal. Lowes is a huge store and stocks these parts and has installers. So I thought.Ive been run around on this issue for over 2 weeks at this point. Still calling and being run around. The old Ill have them call you. Thanks for letting me vent. I think I might just go to Home Depot and fix these switches myself. Lowes doesnt seem to take care of its customers.
Finding an employee to help you is like searching for water in the desert. 10 registers......1 open.....line is 6 deep.....3 employees (including a member of mgmt) at customer service counter having a really funny conversation. Im so sick of this approach to retailing and abandonment of the very basic levels of customer service.
Had multiple deliveries set up from this store and never once have I gotten a call to schedule. Twice they tried to just show up while I was on vacation but no one told me they were coming. Any time I call they give me a date and then no one calls to confirm or calls day of. They either show up or they don’t. I worked at Lowe’s previously and this was never the protocol. This stores deliveries are poorly managed and executed.
Made a in store special order for a dishwasher. The employee keyed in the wrong product (he honestly couldnt have cared less to help us and should have been a red flag in the first place). The price was consistent so we did not notice the error right away. Once noticed it took several hours and phone calls to get it cleared up and fixed. Delivery was estimated today 10/31 three weeks after original delivery was supposed to take place. I have had no update. I called again yesterday spent another hour on the phone being told I should get a call from the store for delivery window. No delays were apparent. No phone calls, no updates, no idea when it if Ill ever get my item delivered. Never again. Lowes lost my business. I have no idea why its so hard to just keep me informed of any delays. Its not like I can just sit around my house all day for no reason and can be home at the drop of a hat.*Update*My delivery still has not shown up. I had to make contact with corporate to find out that its still in distribution and not at the store. A new delivery date had been scheduled a week later. Again NO communication I had to take my time, over an hour, to get this info. Why have a website to monitor your order if it literally tells you nothing and doesnt update?
Great service and actually had the product we wanted in stock unlike the sherman store which said they had one but nobody bothered to look. Just was told we dont have it. Amazing that employees know everything in stock without looking. Sherman store is usually good but not happy with help in appliances.
I got an email advertising Christmas specials on line for Lowes. Our store in McKinney was highlighted. We placed an order for a Dyson vacuum cleaner. It was due on December 8th and we were told to expect an email telling us to come pick it up. Guess what, no email so on the 15th we called the store. Customer Care collected our information but could not find the vacuum. They promised to call us back. That didnt happen either. Called on the 16th to talk with a manager. One who identified himself as the assistant manager gave me his word he would look into the matter and call me back. Nope, his word was no good. Called again today, this time kicking it up to corporate. Long wait time, prompt said they would call back. I opened for that, nope, no call back, no way to talk with anyone. tried the McKinney store one more time. Customer Care (really?) see your order do not know where your vacuum is. Have no idea what to tell you. We will call the vendor and if we can find anything out we will call you. No call yet. Guessing we will not get one. Just ran My Lowes card through the shredder. From now on, I will be a Home Depot customer. I rated Lowes one star because there was not an option for no stars. the old adage of Customer Beware was orginiall uttered to warn customers about organizations like Lowes, especially the McKinney Lowes located at 380 and 75.UPDATE: finally got a call from corporate. They found the vacuum at the carriers hub were it has been sitting for the last 13 days. they have no explanation as to why it has not been delivered to the store nor do they know when it might be. Lowes attitude is that oh well, we cannot tell the carrier to deliver it to the store, so that is between you and them. Lowes corporate said they left a message for the vendor to call me so we could work it out. Epic fail Lowes.
Not a very customer friendly Lowes. Visited again today. I wondered around looking for a certain aisle that wasnt in the obvious rotation. I passed a couple lowes employees who were contempt with just passing by with no eye contact. Not even a hello are you finding everything ok?. Finally stumbled upon what I was looking for. Made it to the self check out and no one was around to age verify my purchase of spray paint. I think im done trying here. Home depot will be my go to now.
Horrible service. The managers are rude, inconsiderate, and incompetent. We ordered an item online and it wasnt what we expected. So we took it to the store in McKinney to return it, as it says we can do online. It took the store 4 hours to figure it out and 5 managers to return the item. One particular female manager was horribly rude, even yelling and screaming at my husband when all we were trying to do is return an item. We had the receipt and paperwork. We asked for our credit card to be refunded, nothing more and nothing less. 4 hours later, we were still not helped. They kept telling us there was a glitch in the system. We left to go to the grocery store and came back two hours later, and they still hadnt refunded the item. We live in Paris, and they thought we left for home. We had to tell them we were not leaving until we either got our refund or the actual item to take home with us. They threatened to call the police on us when the female manager was the one who was screaming and cussing at us. Never go to the store in McKinney. They are rude and worthless.
Nice store but no veterans discount so Ill continue to use home depot. If your not a veteran then give them a try. Revised 03-06-19. I stand greatly corrected, they DO offer a veteran discount. Never been afraid to admit when Im wrong plus its still a good hardware store.
Quality and customer service has really went down in the last few months. Cant find anyone to help you and cant find carts to load lumber. Most of the lumber sections are loaded up with online orders and the isles are closed due to forklift being run. Will have to go to Home Depot or a different Lowes. Really sucks because this store is the closest one to me.
Robert at the paint counter was rude and unhelpful. We wanted to purchase a paint sprayer that was up high and it needed an associate to get it down. He said “that looks hefty” and went back to serving over people. After stupidly waiting 20 mins we realized he wasn’t coming back or sending anyone. When I said to him “you didn’t help us”, he basically shrugged and mumbled at me.
The cashier was pretty helpful but thats about it. Lowes has an issue, it seems, with hiring enough employees to actually help people find what they need in their stores. It also seems like the employees are scared to ask if you need any help because you actually might say yes
Today 12/23/18 , 3:20PMI went in to get key duplicated, did not see a key blank I liked in the the automated machine.Asked for customer service twice, no show.I bought my other product. I wanted to briefly share my experience when store manager. Could not get a hold of him, and did not want to wait in a long line at customer service.Cashiers who helped me were great.Just wanted key duplicatedTY
Bought a fridge and one guy was sent out to load it in my truck. Almost fell on him and me and he shoved it in the middle and said, have a good day. I asked if he could help me move it to the front or tie it down and he said, “you can buy some twine inside”. He did not bring out the ice maker line I had purchased and I had to go back in and show my receipt and argue to get it. They acted like I was trying to pull something. To their credit, after asking for help three times one very nice gentlemen who said he had been there a week came out and helped and apologized for his colleagues.Went back today for some essentials and, as usual, no one working the registers. Self check only. I left a full basket and left.
We give this store the highest ratings. On a busy weekend the store manager, Brandon, stopped to help us with everything we needed and was so accommodating and knowledgeable. We had just come from Home Depot in which we had the worst experience and got no help at all. Tracie at customer service also was so very nice and helpful to us. We so appreciate their friendly and helpful attutudes. We highly recommend this store .
I was a frequent customer to this store. I went to buy some fence pickets, all of the bottom shelf pickets were damaged and told that company policy said that I basically had to buy the damaged goods inorder for the non-damaged pickets to be put at floor level. Why would you force customers to buy damaged goods in order to get functional stock?
I like the store. Customer service is very bad as they seem to be on short staff. When you get your time in line you will get good service. But usually the line is long and management doesnt seem to care how many people are waiting to returns or waiting for customer service person.
Ive been a loyal Lowes customer for a very long time and have been in numerous stores. I can honestly say this is the worst stocked store Ive ever been in. If youre looking for anything in plumbing, electrical or hardware just go to Home Depot across the street. They put forth zero effort keeping these areas organized and stocked. I can guarantee you can walk in there now, go to the 230V, 50A, 3 pin outlet bin and you wont find whats supposed to be there. It will be either empty or full of the wrong product. This had happened to me 3 times over the course of 8 years at this store. Each time I went to HD and bought what I needed. HD adds two extra stop lights to the commute for me but worth it.
Went in to get plants for a landscaping project. Told the guy working there I needed plants that can survive with very little sun. He seemed confused and started wandering around the plants saying...”uh...I mean maybe this...” and every plant he showed us had full sun listed on the tag. I asked where the succulents were (since I’ve had success with these previously) and he said “oh I don’t think those will work, they’re hard to keep alive”. No matter what I asked him he seemed confused and was no help whatsoever. Next time I’m going to Home Depot, at least they train their workers to know their job.I had a similar experience about 5 years ago where I went to Lowe’s for a handle for a sliding glass door and I brought the old handle in, the guy working that area couldn’t figure out which one would fit so he told me to buy one of each and bring back all the ones that didn’t fit.
I choose lowes over homedepot any day. They support their military and show it every day. They have an easy return process. Great selection love kobalt and craftsman. The employees are knowledgeable. I deal with man that has the ponytail he knows what he is talking about.
My wife and I went to Lowes in Mckinney off of 380 & 75, 30 mins before closing on a Saturday night. As we were looking at and deciding on lighting a gentleman by the name of Izmael came by to ask us if we needed help. Of course at the very top of the 20 rack is where the lighting we wanted could be found (there were no more at ground level). At this point it was 10 mins until closing and Izmael was not phased. He found another associate to help him with a tall ladder. Tim the associate that brought over the ladder climbed up swiftly brought the lighting we wanted and they took the opportunity to restock their ground level inventory. What great team work and patience these associates had with us and for that we are grateful. I highly recommend this location to anyone!
I had purchased six Knock Out rose bushes and needed to place them on WILL CALL. When I returned to pick my roses up, the Customer Service lady took me to the garden area where they had stored my purchase. She noticed a sign in the garden area that read All Roses 50% off. She gave me that price also and refunded half of my purchase price!!I always shop Lowes for plants because of their great prices and product availability....sometimes even 1/2 price. Thanks Lowes,Francene Pence
So frustrated! The plants I bought here were all infected with something!! All of the flowers would die at the stem and fall off from DAY ONE. I bought nice soil and planted them then this happened. I call Lowes to see what my options are. They are not helpful at all...bring them back for a refund. They are planted with the soil....how can I bring them back without turning my house and car into an indoor garden? They keep hanging up on me at the store when I can actually get someone to answer. I am so frustrated. I dont live close to the store, it was a huge day trip for me to go get them and plant them...are they going to replant them or refund my soil?
I came here 2 months ago to get some old pieces of wood cut for me. I didnt know how much they would charge since Ive never been inside. They told me normally they dont cut other peoples wood but that day they were being nice. The lady at the front desk didnt even charge me at all. They are kind friendly people that are willing to help make our experience better. 👍
We purchase from this location regularly. The last time we were here we got home and realized that one of the items purchased didnt make it into the car. We called and were told well I cant look in the parking lot for you. Why not? You send people out to collect carts, why not say Hey, did anyone leave any ant killer in the parking lot, please check the next time you grab carts. fantastic customer service.
Worst service ever!!!!!!!! I had a fence installed for my mother. She is 68 years old and the salesman who’s name was Sean did not even offer her things like kick boards or headers. They installed the fence and left huge gaps at the bottoms of the fence that had a hill, instead of staggering the fences and using a kick board. The work was sloppy and incomplete. She has been trying for over 3 months now to get it taken care of. She has had the managers out to look at it and even said it was a poor job and they would get with the subcontractor they used. It’s been over a month and no word yet she calls to try to get a solution about everyday. There is a pile of left over fencing I was suppose to get credit and they where suppose to pick up. No credit and wood still sitting out in the weather and worthless now. Stay away from getting fence work from Lowe’s. Worst service ever!!!!!!!!
Purchased a storm door and regular door, along with installation ($350~ for install). Couple things from my experience that i hope helps others. First... ask if the doors come with door knobs or deadbolt. Mine did not, and perhaps im the A-Hole that should have known to ask this however it was my first time and i just made an assumption. The doors are great quality, no issue here. The issue comes with the installation. I dont mind paying ~$350 for someone to do something that i dont know how to do or desire to do myself, however the entire process from purchase to installation took 3 weeks. If you are going to go this route, please keep that time frame in the back of your mind. The process starts with an individual coming to the home and inspecting the door space and what will be needed for the purchase/install.The next step is the purchase of the door and installation at the store. Everything went smooth here for me and i have no complaints other than the 1 week waiting time to get someone to the house. The next step is the installation after the door purchase. This took another 3-4 days for the company to call and set up the appointment, and then another ~week for the actual appointment date. This wasnt a big issue for me since I wasnt in a big rush, but something to be noted for anyone that needs service asap. The installation is where I am the least thrilled about my experience. The gentleman that came was courteous and friendly. He installed and repaired what needed to be done. However, it was at this point that we realized the old doors knobs and dead bolt would not function with these new doors. Now again, perhaps im the A-Hole that should have realized i would need to purchase knobs and deadbolt, but i didnt. So i asked if he wouldnt mind if i ran up to the Lowes (its a 4min drive from the house) and picked up what we needed. He refused. So now, i am paying 350$ for an install, yet i am now the one installing a part of this process. The striker plate cut-in that he did was not compatible with the striker plates available at Lowes for deadbolts. I am now having to chisel out space for a striker plate. The gentleman also left cement mix on the tile next to the door frame where he adjusted some tile. I now have cement mix in my kitchen on the floor next to the door and i havent a clue how to remove it without scratching the tile.If i had it to do over, i would have asked a lot more questions. I also would have gone to Home Depo since its another 2min drive away from Lowes and asked what their process is and gotten an install quote. Some of my gripes are my own fault, however this is my first time buying a door and having it installed. I do not know what questions to ask or what to think of.In the future, i will go to Home Depo and ask their process/prices before i go to Lowes, since i already know what to expect from Lowes.I hope this helps anyone thinking about purchasing these services.
Too often I have made a purchase here and when I go back for replacements like today a LED bulb, they no longer carry the same. Problem is my bath fixture has 6 bulbs and I only needed to replace 1. I have had problems with paint. Go back a year later and they dont carry same brand. They couldnt match color.
Maybe there could be some workers in the garden/nursery who actually know something about gardening and the products that are carried? I came there with specific pictures and questions about where a certain flower was located. I was shrugged off by 3 different workers and was basically told that no one knew much about flowers or how to help me. I asked if there was someone else who would be able to help, and they called someone from another department. I waited for 15 minutes for that person to arrive, but no one came, so I was left just kind of hanging. Everyone just had a really nonchalant attitude. Eventually, I just left and decided to take my business elsewhere.
If I can give this Store 10 STARS I will was having a bad day wall the Lane in tools was EXTREMELY helpful!! Really know has tools! Im coming back to but that craftman drill!! And then Marus in Appliances was so nice not only help me Find the right dry your belt. But told me this was going to be a good year 20/20 even hope I hit the Lottery love it!! And then top it all off Leeza Add check out with her warm smile was working self check out!! Check me out herself! THE BEST STORE!!!!
Blatant disregard to COVID-19 precautions. Numbers of employees with no mask or wearing them on their chin. Also I have had the self-checkout clerks attempt to get within 1 foot of me when I haven’t even asked for assistance. So if you are cautious of your health, send someone else or shop somewhere else because this Lowe’s doesn’t follow guidelines to ensure the safety of their customers.
Over the past 4 years I have bought the usual repair type household stuff. I also bought a dishwasher, fridge and microwave. I do a lot of research before I spend a large amount of money and so Ive been happy with the appliances. The staff, sales and installation, have always been first rate. When I ask questions I always get the correct answer and have no trouble later.
I must of look confused or lost and I was. Robert L from the lawn mowing did a great job in asking me if i needed anything. He the went to search if the item i needed was in stock. After diligently looking for it he found it!!! I am super please either way whether he would of found it or not with his customer service. 5 star service for Robert!!! I will definitely come back.
Second time this month I was told I would have to checkout at customer service or lumber. These checkouts are at the complete opposite sides of the store. 10 perfectly good checkouts in the middle of the store they refuse to staff. Jordana argued with me that I would have to checkout at the entrance as one of my options. Why would I want to checkout at an entrance? That doesnt even make sense. Staff the registers!!!
UPDATE - MONDAY - 7/22/2019Corrinda from Lowe’s Corporate Office called at 9:18am - Apologized for the miscommunication and said they have approved a buy back..!While the path to get to this point was challenging, Lowe’s did stand by their extended warranty program and made things right.Purchased a new refrigerator and 5 year warranty from Lowe’s. It will be delivered on 7/24/2019.REFRIGERATOR INFORMATIONWhirlpool WRX988SIBM03Purchase Date: 5/3/2016 Purchase Location: Lowe’s Store #2825 - McKinney, TXSATURDAY - 7/13/2019Called Lowe’s at 12:14 to request service. Was told service was scheduled between 8-12 on Monday. Sounds reasonable.MONDAY - 7/15/2019Called PAS at 10:50 - Spoke with Abraham. Was told we did not make the cutoff for Monday service. Called Lowe’s and asked for another service provider. Told basically to bad so sad.TUESDAY - 7/16/2019 - Someone from PAS called at 8:07 to tell us they would be here between 11-1. Someone from PAS showed up around 12ish and told the wife the compressor was bad and would take 2-5 days to get the part in for repair.WEDNESDAY - 7/17/2019 - No contact either way. Assumed part was ordered.THURSDAY - 7/18/2019 - Called PAS at 9:55 - On hold for 5 minutes. Part not ordered until Wednesday because they had to wait on authorization from Lowe’s. Was told I would probably get a call that day once they received shipping confirmation from supplier. NEVER HEARD BACKCalled Lowe’s at 10:15 - Leisha was very helpful and explained the buyback possibility to me. Was told I would get a call back from a supervisor same day on a possible buy back. Waited by phone all day.Called Lowe’s at 5:10pm - Called Lowe’s Was Told that it would be tomorrow or the next day, that it could be 48 hours. GOT IRATE. CURSED EXCESSIVELY. Offended person hung up.Called Lowe’s at 5:20 - On hold for over 30 minutes before someone answered and said they could not hear me. GAVE UPFRIDAY-7/19/2019 - Called Lowe’s at 8:55am - Spoke with Rain? - Now told it would be 2 business days. Asked to speak to manager. Spoke with Justin. Justin tells me I can rent an ice box and be reimbursed. Would have been good to know from the start. Justin set up a loaner to be delivered from local Lowe’s where refrigerator was purchased. Said I would receive a call from Lowe’s to schedule.Kari from Lowe’s called at 12:26 - Said it could be delivered on Sunday.Obviously I misunderstood, as I thought we were talking about having the loaner delivered today.Called PAS at 4:54 - Wanted to check on part delivery, as I was told they would call back once they had tracking/shipping information from supplier. Was told the part was never ordered because it was never approved by Lowe’s.Called Lowe’s at 5:17 - Explained it all again to Nicole. Was told the buy back was denied. Not sure why I was not notified of this already. Nicole was sympathetic and said she wanted to get a supervisor on the line to discuss overriding the denial. NOPE. Now I was told that the service provider just sent in for the PRE-AUTHORIZATION and it was just approved today. Now parts might get ordered on Monday…Talked with supervisor Matt and explained it all again. He informed me I was not eligible for a buyback because I received service, even though nothing was repaired. Apparently showing up now is considered SERVICED. Service consisted of a guy spending approximately 15 minutes checking out the refrigerator, then tell us we have a bad compressor. Matt was the second supervisor to throw his team under the bus and said it was a teachable moment. Now we are waiting on parts to be ordered at the earliest, (9) NINE DAYS from the date of warranty request. Guess that would suggest the earliest date for repair would be 7/24/2019. (12) TWELVE DAYS from the date of warranty request.
As a Lowe’s customer for many years, I purchased a Koval’s 35’ tape measure which I understood to have a lifetime warranty. When I took it back this time the lifetime warranty was no longer in effect when I went to exchange it for a new one. They were offering a partial credit toward a new one which was a more cheaply made and no magnetic tip
This particular Lowes bathroom was absolutely horrific! Every single toilet was just gross. Feces in every one, pee everywhere. The sinks werent even clean. They had exactly what we were looking for, but I took off 3 stars for the bathroom. It really isnt that hard to keep a clean batheoom.
I came in for an extension sides and a gate to my fence. The first employee said he was off the clock and would call someone. He did call but we saw him continue working. Apparently he was only off duty to us. We called the store from the garden department and were promised someone. They never came. We asked another employee for help they said they would get someone. Do you see the pattern? So we just saw another employee, he was just dropping something off and doesnt know this department. You could tell by his dear in the headlight stare he had no clue. So now Im waiting on a manager. Wow finally someone after asking for a manager and she doesnt understand why Im upset. She assumed we were helped. Customer service is horrible. I will definitely be driving more to avoid this place.
I wish I had better things to say about the people that work at this store but its hard to find good help with the wages that theyre offering people these days. When you go to this Lowes, all you have to do is ask for Ron Ferguson and youll have a great experience. Ive been coming to this Lowes exclusively for the past 5 years and Ron has helped me out every time! Keep up the great work Ron.
Purchased a 3 person swing with awning on clearance. Paid to have it assembled and planned to rent their truck to get it home. Never received a phone call the swing had been assembled. When I called 3 weeks later (after travelling), I was told it had been assembled and the truck was available first come first served. I was told I would receive a phone call the next day when the truck was available. No phone call. Did receive a call several days later stating the truck was there if I could come and get it. When my schedule allowed, I went yesterday to pick it up with my friend who has a truck. I wouldnt fit in their truck. I was told the Lowes truck wouldnt be available for a day even though the truck is not rentable for more than a day. When I dug deeper I learned the truck was in the garage. I asked when it would be available and no one could tell me. At this point I was ready to get a refund. Alex in customer service then stepped up and said where do you live we will deliver it to you for free in our van. Now thats customer service! Swing should be delivered today!
My husband and I went here to buy a new washer... while shopping around there were 3 associates who made eye contact with me but NOT ONE asked if they could help us.. they continued talking to each other.. we immediately walked back out! We will NEVER shop here again!
My husband is building a fence in Anna, Tx goes to Lowe’s in McKinney and at the check out tells the cashier he is a Veteran and shows his ID. Cashier tells him they don’t do it that way anymore you have to register and get a mylowes account but to go ahead and pay first and then take the receipt and he’ll get his money back in cash since my husband was paying with a card. My husband insisted he can go register first then come right back. No, cashier bullied my husband and told him to pay now and they’ll give you cash after. So my husband proceeds to pay and as he goes to the Register and try’s to sign up, takes him 40 min because he sees five people at customer service and 4 doing absolutely nothing except for the one actually helping who is also answering phones......Only to find out that they don’t give cash and they returned the difference back to the card but it will take 7-14 business days........lol 🤦🏻♀️ So they cashier lied and nobody cares. Never going there again. Back to Home Depot it is!
I was very disappointed, no one around to help had to spend to much time looking for someone to help. Found one guy and he was not knowledgeable at all. I finally did get a man that was very knowledgable and very helpful, I was very thankful for him. But spent more time looking for someone. No one in the wood department at all. Just very disappointed at lowes today.
THE ABSOLUTE WORST LOWES EVER!!!!! They have the WORLDS WORST CUSTOMER SERVCIE AND THE MOST DISRESPECTFUL MANAGER! My family spends literally at least $3000 a week there for our company we own. The manager was so clueless about their products and polices! We typically shop at the Plano and Frisco stores for our business and decided to try this new Mckinney location off of Custer and 380. The manager spoke to me like I was stupid in front of many people and even worse .. my children. In the end I was right with the policy issue and he was WRONG! And even worse for LOWES IS.....I made a promise tonight to my husband and myself that we WILL NOT EVER GO THERE AGAIN FOR OUR COMPANY AND THEY JUST LOST OVER $3000 a week in business because I refuse to allow that disrespectful jerk of a manager have an ounce of our business! HOME DEPOT IS THE BEST AND IVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THIS! Do not go to this location! I promise you will regret it. Apparently Im not the only customer either that has dealt with this. Read the reviews and the parking lot being empty tells a lot to.
NEVER AGAIN will I ever purchase an appliance or anything that cost more than $10.00 at Lowes. I have had a total nightmare after spending over $2600.00 for a washer and dryer. They send people out to install that is less than adequate and brings damaged merchandised that has to be replaced. Dents on the dryer but since this was the second one they brought out I didnt want to bother sitting and waiting yet again another day for them to deliver another one. The fabric softener dispenser empties the softener straight out into the washer as soon as you put it into the dispenser. I would suggest not buying any appliance from the store on 380 and I75 in Mckinney, Texas!!!!
Over a year ago, we contracted with this Lowes location to install a combination wood/chain link fence in our backyard. The wood portion of the fence has been nothing but trouble with sagging gates and hardware falling off. More recently, I noticed a four inch breach in the perimeter, all before weve even finished paying for it! Since it has been more than a year, the Lowes contractor will not fix it. I call this lousy customer service. Take my advice and shop elsewhere for a fence.
Next to impossible to get through to someone on the phone. I got hung up on 6 times when I called two days ago and today after 3 calls I got ahold of someone who had an attitude with me because he didnt want to give me some specifics on a tool, he just said I could go to the store to look. I called lowes because Home Depot has been just as bad for so long but now I cant even get help at lowes! Im going to start shopping locally.
I bought a troy-bilt pressure washer from Lowes - it was a Lemon! They sent me around between Lowes, Troy-bilt and Briggs and briggs and stratton and they all pointed the finger at each other, Lowes would not help they just said: we only sell them. Troy-bilt said: they only use my name! Briggs: we wont cover it. Never buying a thing from Lowes ever again!

2022-03-18Well my negative thoughts is you have to search extremely hard to find someone to help you. They take their time to come to assist you. The aisles seem to be very well stocked with goods yet small items are not in bins as reported on stores websites. The employee who did help us was kind and tried to educate and direct us to the correct product to purchase. When we got it home it was definitely the right product and just what we needed.

2022-05-07They are usually well stocked and for the most part, employees are nice. There just aren’t ever enough lanes open and lines get long really quickly. Generally there’s one lane open outside in Lawn and Garden, and maaaaybe one open inside. Usually it’s only self checkout inside though, which I can’t use my military discount at. Also, if you need help from an employee, prepare to hike all across the store to find one. Home Depot is just across the road and there’s hardly ever a wait there.

2022-03-05Lows is great always has what I need. Picked up a couple of door latches. These are very easy to use and helpful to keep curious smart toddlers from getting outside without permission or supervision.

2022-04-25Today I am displeased. Actually this is an ongoing issue. When I place an order online for pickup, my expectation is that I will pick up the items at the store I designated as my store, the one about a mile from my house. Instead, Lowes decided that speed was more important than convenience, because twice now my order was redirected to a Lowes in another city. Why this was determined it would be convenient for me is a mystery.Again, my expectation is that when an item is not in stock a decent alternative is to place an order for me to pick up at my local store when the item is in stock. I would rather wait than have to drive out of town to another store.

2022-05-23I placed an order online and chose to store pick up. However I chose the wrong store (this store) by accident and it is far away from my house. I called the store to try to cancel the order. A lady picked up the phone after a long wait; was impatient; recorded my order number and then nothing happened. I checked the order status a few hours later and the order is still there.I then tried chatting with a customer service from this store through text messages. After some interaction with a bot and a person joined the chat and the only thing that I got was although he is a customer service representative, he couldnt cancel the order this way and gave me a phone number to call.So frustrating with this store. Bad customer service!Update: I called the 2nd day. A different lady picked up my phone and addressed my issue promptly.

2022-06-04I confess to loving to plant flowers, bushes, and trees. Lowes is a favorite of mine to get flowering plants due to a large selection with most everything I need for planting in close proximity. That saves me time, and with fair prices, money also.

2022-04-11Employee Kierra at this McKinney location is incredibly unprofessional. She was working the customer service lane and had no guests at the register. We approached the customer service area and asked if we could check out here because at the time the store had no other checkout lanes open other than the self checkout lanes. My husband wanted to utilize his military discount, so we asked Kierra if she could check us out at the customer service lane since she was not busy. She proceeded to roll her eyes and glare at us very angrily. It was a very uncomfortable checkout experience and I noticed she quickly changed her tune and attempted to be much nicer when another coworker approached the register. This is the second time in a row we have experienced bad customer service at this location.

2022-04-11David in plumbing has been so helpful and took the time to actually help me! And other customers as well. He seems to genuinely care about helping customers and is very knowledgeable.

2022-05-22Highly doubt anyone in leadership, especially Lowes Regional Mngmt team, will read this or even care to comment, but there is a great need to train the staff in customer excellence, starting w/ Ben in Millwork area leading the pack. Snarly attitude and would be gone on my former GE team on Day one. Business is good now but the pendulum will swing to challenging numbers and some of us customers (former customers) will remember.

2022-05-12Lowes in McKinney off 75 was the worst lowes I’ve ever been in. The help was rude! Everyone avoided talking to you I had to look for someone and I found “Kevin “ in the grill dept we were asking about a marked down grill and he didn’t want to help us and stated “The marked down items are for employees only he didn’t know why I was looking at them” I told him we always shopped the clearance in the SHERMAN LOWES THEY ARE WONDERFUL he said they wasn’t Sherman but he would ask his manager if he would go down on the price he basically walked in a circle and came back and said no he wouldn’t it was the price on box so he wouldn’t have to deal with us! I will never go there again I will only shop in the Sherman Lowes!!!
