DO NOT BUY CARPET FROM HERE!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!For starters, we shopped many local businesses that had better pricing and arguably more varieties of carpet. We decided to go with home depot because we felt they had a name and reputation to protect. The initial buying experience was less than spectacular because our sales person could not fully explain all the carpet and padding features. After researching options on our own time we decided on a triexta carpet and a higher grade 8 lb padding. The senior saleswoman from the carpet department at the Lakeline location offered the home depot account at no interest for two years and led us to believe that we would be installed within two weeks. ALL FALSE. We ended up fighting with the installers on a install date set about a month out. At this point we involved Home Depots Customer service department. The CS rep was able to get our install in a reasonable amount of time but that was trumped by us receiving the wrong padding on our install day. Coincidentally the first bill arrived allowing only SIX months no interest. Speaking with anyone from the store was an act of futility. No one apologized, no one gave a $#!+. Back on the phone with customer service to get things straightened out. We are still patiently awaiting the completion of our install and have no idea what will come of the no interest situation...now that we have invested $4000. The house is upside down and we will not have bedrooms available to sleep in. AND based on the experience thus far our expectations on the quality of carpet is not high as well. Save your money and your sanity. Home Depot is a home improvement store the sells carpet. Stick with the experts....and trustworthy salespeople. We truly felt that we were taken advantage of by the senior saleswoman from the carpet department at the Lakeline location. She did and said whatever necessary to ensure she was getting the carpet sold and that we signed up for the Home Depot credit card on that very same day (they are commissioned on the Credit Card as well).
