HomeGoods in other cities:
While I was shopping for my mother here today I noticed a beautiful leather sofa that I was interested in purchasing for myself. I asked a very kind elderly male associate regarding the purchase of this couch and he advised me regarding the shipping etc. and said to talk to a manager about any other questions (the couch had some minor but noticeable damage to it and I had asked him if I could negotiate a slightly lower price as a result). However on my way to asking a manager, a female sales associate rudely and aggressively asked if I “needed” assistance. I know I’m probably not the typical audience at home goods (I am a male in my early 30s) I asked her about the price and was stunned with how rude and unprofessional both her tone and the accusational nature of remarks were. Frankly, I had the money and still would have bought the couch but she was so incredibly rude “sir we don’t do that here” and dismissive, as if I couldn’t afford the couch that I was completely dejected and this store has forever lost my business. Whomever is managing this store really aught to train their floors people to treat every customer with respect and not make assumptions because again, I was prepared to spend well over a thousand dollars on a couch that will likely end up in a dumpster if it sits on the floor for much longer (an anecdote from another employee, they literally throw away things that they mark down “too low”). This place is hostile, wasteful and rude. Don’t shop here.
I bought a teapot from this store and this teapot (the picture is enclosed) ruined my summer due to lack of quality. One morning, when I wanted to make tea, I poured the teapot that was in room temperature with boiled water and suddenly the bottom of the teapot came out (it broke in half) and boiled water went through my thigh. After that I immediately went to emergency room of a hospital. The doctors diagnosed it as second degree burn and I had to stay at home for about 15 days!! During this time my husband talked with HomeGoods several times and they referred us to the main vendor whose insurance company was the Zurich American Insurance Company. We talked to this insurance company for about one month. They got all the information including when, how, and why it happened. After one month, they passed us with another insurance company called The Hartford. It took more than 4 month for this company to process our case! At the end, they contacted me and said it wasnt our fault maybe the teapot got the problem during transportation!! They accepted no responsibility for this. During these 6 months, not only they did not compensate the expenses that we had because of this incident, they wasted so much of our time and they even did not apologize for this. The place of burned area will stay on my thigh for ever. This is a shame for this company who does not care about their customers at all. The only thing they care is MONEY! I will never ever come back to any HomeGoods store.
I come in here often and it’s a mix of service. I’m alright waiting in line, but they have not been staffed properly for general customer needs. There were 3 people waiting for furniture and rug help for over 30 minutes, you click the need assistance and no one comes…. Terrible service.
Literally only giving stars because of the product. Everyone that works at this store seems miserable. Plus this last trip was the worst I’ve ever seen this location look. I don’t see any of my favorite employees there anymore for like 2 months now. the store is messy and super dirty. If it weren’t for how much cool stuff this store carried I would never shop here anymore. What a shame.
The coordinator Marianna was very rude. There were specific items we wanted, but were broken and she would not let us purchase them with a discount because there were “others” there even though they were actually different. She was very rude to us and her employee, Marissa, who was honestly the sweetest ever. We feel what she was trying to do was illegal as you can’t tel customers what they can and can’t buy especially if there is a defect.
This Home Goods is a gold mine! Always sooo many good finds here and they keep it pretty organized for how much they have!Edit: Also wanted to add that since re-opening, this store has taken great precaution with social distancing, aisle directions, sanitizing, etc. Associates also do a great job informing customers that carts have been sanitized. I really missed this store during the stay at home order, but I am happy to see they are open again and providing great, safe service.
I love HomeGoods. This place has anything and everything you could want for home decor. I have found some of the neatest items in this place. My daughter and I found a stuffed cat / unicorn that is actually stuffed with dried beans and a little bit of lavender, you microwave it and it is used as a heating pad and an aromatherapeutic sleep aid. Prices are phenomenal.
I enjoy shopping at this store. There is so much to look at and to choose from, that it could be hazardous to my wallet if I dont rein myself in. It is especially a great place to shop for holiday or seasonal items. This store usually has a nice selection of items for various holidays and it makes it easy to really get carried away with so many options.
I love going to home goods they have great deals and unique items. Especially for candles they have better prices than other places. They have a good selection of comfy blankets and other home good items lol. They have unique furniture like tables amd chairs, along with curtains. I go here when ever i get a chance, plus the staff is always friendly from what ive expirenced.
Great place to go if you want to get turned down at the register because their system isnt accepting cards. Management offered discounts to some people who were complaining loudly but didnt seem to care too much about others who had to put their stuff down and walk out after waiting in line. Wasted a good hour of my familys time and no solutions were offered. Wont be back.
My favorite home decor shop! I love browsing, and finding that perfect accent for my home. The prices on home decor, dishes and linens are unbeatable, and the choices are unique. I especially love their holiday decor choices...things I cant find (or cant afford) anywhere else.
My motto for this type of store is. Hurry, take it! Cause it wont be there again! If it doesnt look good once you get home. You can always return it or exchange it for something else. And who knows, this time around you might find what you were originally trying to get😃.
You will be yelled at if you don’t follow arrows on isles even if there are no shoppers on your isle or for several isles around. The worker added in an abrasive tone, “It’s a new world.” I put items back and will not be spending money there until they change this hostile environment.
As a home stager and AirBNB owner I’m always in need of anything from furniture to sheets. This is my one stop shop. Prior to Covid it was always full, and I still find they often have more than other locations now that COVID has slowed their truck delivery. My favorite employees are Margaret and Bill, always cheerful and always willing to bend over backwards to help.
This is a huge store! I live in North Austin so the 2 locations I frequent are Great Hills Trail & the one at Lakeline. I always find way too many things when I shop at Home Goods, and this time was no different. Its a good thing I drive an Infiniti Coupe, because it limits me as to how much I can purchase in one visit. 😉 The Brodie location was clean, organized, and properly staffed. The cashier who assisted me was friendly and personable. I will upload pics of my latest find (s) after I get home. The end table pictured below, was purchased last week, from the Great Hills Trail location. Im already looking forward to my next visit.
Three register lights were lit up. One cashier was cashing people out. The other two registers? Vacant. Ten minutes into the wait, (I should also mention I was second in line) there were several employees in EYESIGHT range that were doing tasks and one also was staring off into space. As the line built up my patience was just getting shorter as a manager flits in and out working on one of the open cash registers on a return then disappears - five people are in line behind me by now. I am still second in line. I just walked out. It was absurd. The manager totally neglected customers and did not have the where with all to redirect employees to more urgent tasks and the employees were too ... distracted to even realize q libe built up and it was NOT moving. Horrible experience. I wont be back.
I love shopping at this store but today I was shocked to see only a unisex bathroom with a lady guard outside. I was told not to lock the door because the guard was there. As I started to go out the door, the guard was not there and a man started to come in the restroom. The guard soon came back and told the man to lock the door. Awkward. Dont know if this is temporary or not.

2021-11-07This store is one of the best Home Goods locations in the Austin area. Always great finds. When you see something you like, grab it. The items might not be there the next time. Happy shopping.

2021-08-09The staff and the selection make this place one of my favorite stores to shop. The employees do such a great job of handling the constantly changing environment of the store. You could go back every day and find something new. At this particular location, one manager, Margaret, was an enormous help in selecting, purchasing and picking up a large piece of furniture. Oh, and did I mention the prices? They seriously cannot be beat!

2022-06-02Usually a pretty good selection, store is kept well stocked. The rug selection, wall art and cutlery have been lackluster lately but always stocked heavy on good pillows, towels and kitchen stuff.

2022-03-31I unfortunately do not recommend purchasing any big ticket items from Home Goods. Their return policy is unsatisfactory. I bought a $100 comforter, washed it according to the directions, and then there were stains on it. I realized the overall quality was poor of the item. I know that I should have read the return policy prior to purchasing. I am just hoping to let folks know so that they do not do the same. I tried to return it today and they would not let me.I also dealt with an individual named Rosemary who appeared short tempered and rude from the very beginning of our interaction. This location is also not staffed appropriately for the volume of customers. I ultimately recommend going elsewhere.

2022-07-04It looks like it used to be an old circuit city on the outside. Smaller than some other home goods stores but well organized and not too crowded.
