Very nice staff and very reasonable prices . Loads of different items. I think its better than the chain store Hobby lobby.
Customer service needs some attending to but the items they sold were very nice and unique.
Pleasant staff and more things than you can imagine, definitely going back.
Everyone is helpful. The framing department provides quality work. The ladies in the fabric department are up to date on the fabrics. They are also great on sewing tips. The cashiers are always cheerful.

This Craft store has been here for years. When I was in high school I would come here to get my homecoming mums and garters. Home town crafts of Kerrville is a piece of Kerr county that will continue to serve the community with safe hobbies and creative minds the stimulation that should be instilled into the generations ahead of us.
Wonderful store with friendly, helpful staff. Good prices on a wide range of items, including things you might have never seen before, so just browsing can be a fun adventure. Far preferable to a big box store or rapacious franchise thats trying to crowd out and monopolize this kind of shopping.

I love Hometown crafts because when I go in for specific items I can get one on one help from an employee.They actually have people on the floor in charge of certain departments whom you can ask to help you find specific items. I went in this last time to get a special piece framed. Charles, one of the framers, bent over backwards to make it look perfect! I would highly recommend this framing Co. especially for difficult pieces.
I have been shopping here for years. Courteous employees always find what I want. Picture framing section does excellent quality work on my paintings.
Its a homey place to buy general arts and crafts. A good selection from fabrics to paints to glitter and everything in between. Plenty of cute trinkets to put in your living room. Friendly enough and definitely worth visiting once if your in town.

I liked this little place. It isnt Hobby Lobby but it had what I need and some stuff I didnt hahah. But thats how my visits to craft stores always turn out. While walking the aisles the employees stocking shelves were very helpful and kept asking if I needed help and providing suggestions when explaining my project. My only real issue was the cashier. When I came to checkout she was kind of abrasive in her demeanor.

The staff was so sweet and incredibly helpful. We had been to several stores in San Antonio and Corpus Christi and never received the help or items needed for our project. We will be regular customers from now on!
We stopped in on a whim while in from out of town. This is a very nice little craft and fabric store. They had what I needed, and the people were really nice. We had several people stop by and check that we were finding what we needed. If were ever in Kerrville again, well go back.

This is a FANTASTIC store with a huge variety; I love it. They always carry the most fun seasonal decorations! The staff is so friendly and quick to help. I esp appreciated the associate, Samuel Avner, he was a very knowledgeable person and so polite. He’s probably the best son in the world!
The staff is always pleasant and helpful. One of my favorite stores, I always leave with something. They always have new items, and fair prices. Very easy to lose track of time!

I love this home and craft center. There is order and a surprise around every corner. Local owner and they love their retail craft store. Quick turn of merchandise, awsome associates and great Customer service. So much to offer. They have rustic furniture, porch and lawn too. Gifts and and it just keeps going. Gotta see.

I love this place. If you are a crafter, this is your store. Or if you like decorating your yard, flower garden, this is a great place. Their prices are great, l love the Christian ambiance, crosses for sale. They honor service people also. And all the fabric and furniture you need. All wood furniture at great prices.

I posted this awhile back, went in this morning and the 2 ladies were extremely rude..I was looking for scented Christmas wax candles...they did not say unscented abd were wrapped in plastic and one of the ladies said. .well, cant you smell it???? Will not be going back..Hobby Lobby cant open soon enough because of my experience today...
Great small-town art store with friendly staff. The store, more often than not, usually has what I need.
Wow! This store has everything! Its reminiscent of the old Ben Franklin stores, but with modern displays, even painted furniture which is becoming hard to find. Besides craft materials, they also have gifts and home decor.
I purchased some stuff from them during this Covid-19 thing and used curbside pickup. I didnt know exactly what I needed so Debra brought a cart full of stuff related to what I was looking for. She went back in a couple times to make sure I got exactly what I needed. I was amazed at the level of service I received. Thank you Debra.

Very cute store. It reminds me of Hobby Lobby, but in my opinion much better and still way different from them. They have a really great selection of cute stuff. They also have a great selection of some furniture that are hands made.
I love this place, the staff is always friendly and if they dont have what Im looking for theyre willing to try to order it. I once ordered special blending pencils from them, and a certain colored pencil that they didnt have in stock. 5/5 go here all the time
Ok selection, but its way over priced and the last time I went in and need help finding something two of the women I was speaking with acted like it was a big inconvenience for them to to help me let alone cutting the ribbon for me. They both were acted like they could care less if they were at work or not. I understand having a bad day but when you work in customer service you should never take it out on a customer😒

Wide veriety of stylish and unique crafts, everything you could possibly want and then some, but the staff arent the friendliest or very eager to help, its still a great place to go for all your craft needs. They have floral decor, little nic naks, novelty items, whats in and what used to be in as well, many things to choose from and different styles for instincts, the variety of cabinet handles has to be over 80 different types to choose from, all the cast iron working lile stars and revolvers or knobs are all very neat and reasonably priced, I could go in there abd jist look around for hours while the items spark many different ideas, all and all hands down that is the place to go in Kerrville if you are looking for crafts and such.
Upgrading my review to 5 stars. The reason for the 4 was my disappointment that the jewelry making supplies aisle, while over the years has been upgraded to 2 aisles, hardly ever has what I want any more, for example, gemstones, sterling silver chains, and adequate selection of swarovski crystals. The sterling findings are not so great either. HOWEVER, the staff is SOfriendly and helpful, and there is so much other stuff and Im in there all the time, so I must love the place .

Spending just a couple of days in Kerrville so I searched online for a craft store. Found Hometown Crafts. Omg....I am in love with this store.I enjoy so many different types of handcrafts and I think I could find supplies for any or all of them at this store. I might even find a few new crafts to learn.They have an awesome selection of fabric and all the sewing trims, thread and buttons you could ever need. They have all the necessities for almost any sewing project including upholstery fabric, both indoor and outdoor fabrics. All at great prices. The staff was super helpful tooThey have rows and rows of Texas themed decor and gifts. Found a great deal on a huge Texas Star for my front porch and a few other small items I just had to have.I am from the Rio Grande Valley but when I am in the Texas Hill Country (we go to Fredericksburg often)I will go out of my way just to visit this store again.
Occupying an entire corner of the shopping center Hometown Crafts is so much more. With a large furniture selection and everything thing you would need for the perfect home decor. Helpful and friendly you will not be disappointed with the staff.

Taking up both the left and right legs of the corner unit, this very large store has an almost confusing selection of craft, sewing, home decor, and furniture items. I say almost confusing because it is so well laid out, youre pretty much able to find what youre looking for. If you cant, the friendly staff will help you track down everything you need. From fake flowers to create your front door wreath, to beads to make some jewelry for your aunt, to decoupage, sewing, woodwork, framing, and other Hobby and Craft items too numerous to mention, youll find it all here.
Most bizarre crafts store ever. They have EVERYTHING. If you need it, they have it. Amazing amount of fabrics. Its fun just to wander around and find all the things you never knew you wanted.
I keep returning each time I go to the hill country. They have everything I need. Just walking the aisles is an adventure. Lots of art supplies and unique gift items. Love this place!

This is about the only place in Kerrville to get arts and crafts supplies. They are more reminiscent of Michaels than Hobby Lobby. They have a ton of furniture for sale as well as arts and crafts.

2022-07-05I absolutely love this store. There are so many great home decor items. As well as lots of well made solid wood furniture. you can ask an associate to help you look at what they have available and different options. ALL of the associates are super friendly and helpful. The owner is amazing and so easy to work with. We recently went bought multiple bedroom sets, and an entertainment center. I had lots of questions and was struggling with making a final decision. The owner and workers took their time to answer all my questions, show me everything they had available, and gave me great advise and guidance to make the best purchase for me. It wasnt like a pressured sales tactic either, it was like talking with a friend who was helping you pick out furniture. Such a great experience. I suspect we will be back to buy many more items from them. They have definitely made life long customers out of us!

2022-04-18This Hometown crafts has been around a long time, Ive always found what I needed here, even my husband finds all the model paints he needs and they have a framing shop that does beautiful work, Ive had several pieces framed. If you sew they have a nicely stocked area just for that, give it a try you wont be disappointed!

2022-04-20I love this store. Whatever craft youre into, more than likely they have parts for. Sewing, painting, flower design, model airplanes, picture framing. Plus alot of gifts and pick me ups that you just dont see anywhere else. Plus home made furniture from real wood. Great staff, very helpful so much fun to look through.

2022-06-28~Edit at bottom~Went in there a few days ago to look around. Ive been many times before but this time was... annoying. I was asked 5 times if I needed help in a less then 15 minute look around. I came in, looked at the retro chairs, started to make my way to the arts supplies, as I passed the charms, I was asked if I needed help. Get to art supplies, agian asked if I needed help. Again said no Im just looking. Make my way to fabrics to look at anything my mother may be interested in. I was there the longest without getting interrupted, until I was heading out, and I was asked agian if I needed help with anything. The lady in fabric was the sweetest but I still didnt need help. Make my way out, look at the signs, agian passing my charms when yet agian Im asked if I need help. Getting annoyed at this point I say no. I start looking at the novelty things and socks up front. I head closer to the registars when yet agian I am asked if I needed anything. I was feeling quite rushed out now so I said no. As I was going to head out, I saw a little blue mushroom birdhouse, and decided to get that. I have a thing about blue mushrooms and it matched my earrings. Thats probably the last thing Im going to buy here.Ive worked retail, I know that they were help bombing me because they thought I was a possible theif. If they were worried about my bag they could have asked me to put it behind the counter no problem. Im pretty sure I was targeted as one because I dress Alternatively, and look young. I wasnt in there long enough for them to think I was suspicious for any reason other then the way I dressed. Being a person with social anxiety, this has really soured my thoughts of the place. I was pegged so quickly as suspicious but just wanted to look around on my day off. I felt unwelcomed.EDIT:My friend needed some yearn for a project so before work, so I headed in with her. Shes from out of town but has always liked to stop by when she can, and it was an excuse to spend time together. Since I was going to work in 2 hours, I was dressed in plain attire of a T-shirt and jeans, and she dresses very western with cowboy boots, cowboyhat, and a very large purse. It was a slow day in there and there was basically no one in the store but us. We looked around for 30 minutes and didnt have anyone approach us to see if we needed anything.So manager, its not about customer service you could have gotten years ago its about being blanently pegged as a shoplifter because I dress differently. I wasnt in your store for 3 minutes by myself when I was first asked, and then continuously asked. I know you couldnt have recognized my friend because she is not a regular. I explained my previous experience to her and she will not be giving you business anymore either.An apology would have been more appropriate then the backhanded attempt you replied with saying that I didnt appreciate customer service. Obviously, the bombardment I experienced was not for the sake of being helpful, since my friend and I did not experience it the second time around. It was about stereotyping me and you seem to encourage that in your staff. I would have given this place a second chance had there been an actual apology, and the treatment was the same when I looked normal.

2022-01-23This is a fun store where you can find everything you didnt know you were looking for. The best part is the furniture area. It is quality well-built furniture that will last a lifetime. It is definitely a store to put on your must visit at least once a month list

2022-02-17This is a store very similar to hobby lobby, in the sense they have lots of items for crafts and furniture. Their leather craft is very limited, but they do have a complete store area for material and sewing items. Additionally, they have a large store with varied craft items for anyone that is looking to find a hobby or business. The staff were overly friendly and extremely helpful in answering questions or assisting in locating items needed.
