My husband car had a check engine light came up, so we had it towed to clearlake honda. Biggest mistake ever, first it took 3 weeks to get a straight answer, then they said it was my fault and warranty would not cover new engine, the service manager was very rude and i went to pick it up to take to a different honda dealer, and it was in pieces, my engine was in pieces and in my trunk. I was told at the other dealership that they should have put it back together worst service ever, be very aware.
I ended up buying a 2012 honda civic from them a little over 1 year ago and to be honest it was the worst mistake I ever made. When I purchased the car I was clear that I did not want a vehicle with accidents and clean title, I was told buy the sales person that the vehicle had no accidents and I was shown the car fax and no accidents where shown on it, so I thought. A week after buyin the car I notice orange peel on the passenger side of the car sings of it being repaird. I went back to the dealer ship explained the situation and they confirmed with a printed copy of the car fax that the car was in 2 accidents when I showed them the carfax I received there where no accidents on it they did nothing to help all they said car was sold as is they could do nothing.I am utterly disgusted by theyre dishonesty, lying to a customer is unethical and unacceptable buy any means. I can even get a good offer on a resell for the car because of accident that it has I have been stuck will a car that I am not happy with because of there dishonesty. They will pass the blame to carfax never themselves.RatingHonesty: 0 startsCarfax: 0 starsLooking to buy a vehicle from them I would say do it with extreme caution and think about it twice before buying I wish I had.
I don’t even know where to start. They are not helpful, they have the highest prices for any service you need. If you take your vehicle in for a service and can’t come get the vehicle until after 5pm (because some of us work), then apparently no one in the building can give you keys to your vehicle even after you’ve paid for it and everything. It was an absolutely nightmare experience with this dealership. Do yourself a favor and drive up North to get services.
One of my last times going for an oil change, i get home and my ENGINE IS DROPPED!!! my mom had to fix it after spotting the issue. now i’m paranoid and have asked them to check it again before i leave. and the wait times for an oil change are INSANE!! i get a free oil change isn’t at the top of the priority list, but jesus christ. at LEAST let me make an appointment for it. i should not need to make sure i have a ride to take me home instead of sitting around for 3-4 hours.
SCAM! They will lie to you to take your money. My Accords key-fob stopped working. I replaced the battery and still didnt work. I went to this place and they said it needs to be reprogrammed by a Honda computer. itll take 8/10 of an hour and cost $120. However we cant guarantee itll work and suggest you purchase a new key too which is $90. I didnt believe it costs $210 when your key-fobs battery runs out so I went online and learned that it takes 10 seconds to reprogram your key and doesnt need any computer. I reprogrammed it myself in 10 secs after watching a youtube video and it works perfectly. This guy tried to scam me for $210 instead of giving me honest advice...
Dropped my car off for service they had it 5 days while I was out of town, and only did the diagnostic. I asked them to make the repairs and explained when I would be back. After 5 days they still didn’t know if parts are even available. Complete waste of time!! Tony Sandoval was completely incompetent.
Great experience - the sale was5/17/22 - After the sale, customer service and communication is really poor. Just trying to get someone to acknowledge contact is unsuccessful. My previous two new Hondas came from a dealership in Virginia that was superb. This dealership has become a disappointment.
Called to ask for assistance on getting keys for car. Thomas was on top of it and was really helpful. He had me come in at a set time and when we figured out that it was going to take longer than I had available was able to get me a rental to make it so I could still meet my other demands that day. The car was available with the recalls fixed and a new key and even though Thomas wasnt there when I went to drop it off the service manager and another one of the service guys helped me very effectively. I was even able to get a look at a couple of the newer vehicles while I was there.
Eddie the Service Manager did a great job at making sure my vehicle was taken care of. My vehicle had a minor scratch that happened because of an accident at the dealership and he made sure it was repaired in a timely manner. Eddie was very professional when dealing with this issue and I’ve always had excellent customer service when bringing my vehicle in for repairs.
Garbage service. I’ll take my warranty work to people who care. Tell your services team to keep hanging up on customers, it’ll get you far. Literally could have been an easy payday. Sorry to Jeff for getting an earful because the first guy who clearly needs training courses. He tried to help, but I’ll give the warranty work elsewhere.
We were in League City for a dog show this past weekend. Overnight someone cut out our catalytic converter at our hotel. My husband contacted this dealership and they went above and beyond to fix our Honda Element so we could drive safely back to New Orleans. They even comped us a rental car for the day. They were easy to contact and kept us informed on progress. What could have been a fiasco turned into just a minor inconvenience thanks to this dealership. Highly recommended!!!!
I live in Hawaii and wanted to buy a Honda HRV for my son who lives in Alvin. I contacted Honda of clear Lake first but they told me there were no HRV inventories and they would contact me if new inventory arrives. i contacted other two dealers nearby. I was shocked when they gave me the ridiculous high price quotes becasue they added MVA (market value adjustment $2999 and $3999). That was a rip off. I was so frustrated that I decided to buy a Ford car. At that moment, I received an email from Steve from Honda of Clear Lake. He informed me that new inventory is coming. and whether I am still interested in buying a new HRV. I said yes and asked for a price quote. I was expecting to see another ridiculous high price with MVA. To my surprise, Steve gave me a very reasonable price without MVA. After a few email exchanges with Steve in less than 10 minutes, we had a deal. Steve asked Lijo (Joe) to help me with the completion of the final transactions. Joe is such a nice guy. He went extra mile by driving more than 10 miles to pick up my son to sign all the documents at Clear Lake. I really enjoy my buying experience at Honda of Clear Lake. They are very honest and professional! I will definitely buy car from them again.
Horrible experience even 2 years later still having issues with their integrity. Coxei the used car manager sold me a defective accord with bad starter and battery. It was very inconvenient first month or so until they fix the issue. Took about 4 to 5 trips with lots of unnecessary arguments. I was told by the manager I ever had issues with the battery it would covered under warranty and promise me the starter was oem. know 2 years 3 months later same problem bad starter and battery. To make matters worse the starter is not an original oem part that they promised. The battery its not cover under warranty because I I did not purchase the battery. Why promise something that they cant honor to a costumer. This is very unprofessional one lying about the part and second battery will not be covered under warranty. I would like the truth not lies.
Wonderful experience buying my new Honda! Highly recommend working with Marceeze Jones on sales. He Handled all communications really well and answered all my questions. Also beyond helpful for Coxi Quiroz manager and Kevin Truong finance manager for making my the paper work easy and making feel Like home and not second guessing anything. Thank you all for making my experience really easy, making laugh and being comfortable. You guys are AMAZING!! Happy and Grateful to be part of the Honda of clear lake Family!!!
It was a 5 STAR before I found out they are a rip off like every other car Dealership. I did love this Dealership before I found out I was lied to about getting a warranty I did not even need. I will not recommend anyone else to this Dealership. This Dealership really are great at pretending they are different from all the other Dealerships. Its just about the money not truly helping the customer have a affordable car payment. I am so very hurt and truly disappointed. Just because you ask what your customer can afford, does not mean give them a warranty they do not need just to get the car payment to what they said they could afford. That is just being MONEY HUNGRY!
I bought a brand new car (20201 CRV) a few months ago, there ended up being an oil leak. I took it back to the dealership where they then charged me for a rental car. They have no idea when my car will be ready, Im in this rental car that is dirty and stinks like B.O. They couldnt even clean the car out from the last person that used it, i found a plastic fork in the backseat. I will never buy a car from them again. When I called and informed the manager, he said he would call me back. I never got a call back. Good luck to anyone that decides to buy a vehicle from them.
Wonderful experience buying my new Honda! Highly recommend working with Steve Bramlet. Handled most of my communications via email and calls; upfront and no games. Took a quick test drive and came back to sign. Blaine Lashute finished the sale and worked some magic so it only took an hour or so to do the paperwork! Best experience buying a car to date.
Very shady auto/parts department, I never write reviews but I feel like I had to on this issue. We bought a starter here at this location, a genuine OEM part, supposedly New. The starter started to give us problems and it has been maybe 2 months since the install. We thought it was maybe a faulty part so we called back to see if we could get a replacement since warranty was for 1-year and its been only 2 months since purchase. Representative states the warranty is voided, they cant do anything about it and that we have to buy another new part at full price. W.T.F.Skip this place or get a Toyota.
I was very clear with my salesperson that I was coming from over an hour away to buy a car that I viewed online. I asked him to check the car and make sure everything was good because it was such a long drive out. I drive all the way to this dealership and this is the condition of the Odessey that they were trying to sell me. It is in HORRIBLE condition. I ask to speak to the manager and got David McDuffy. He was very rude to myself and when my husband called in to talk to him on my behalf he ended up hanging up on him. I would never recommend this dealership!
I realize that it is currently (July 2021) a seller’s market and that dealer inventory is limited; however, my experience with Clear Lake Honda in League City has made me question their integrity. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, I was told that the CR-V hybrid I was interested in was available because the person who had put down a deposit hadn’t shown up for his scheduled appointment the previous day. I questioned that and was assured the car was now available. After a test drive and verbally agreeing to a price, I asked if I could go to a private residence to unfreeze my credit and apply for Honda financing, which the salesman agreed to. During the approximately 30 minutes I was gone, my salesman called me back and cancelled the deal. I highly recommend having your agreed upon price quote in writing, since my verbal agreement was not honored.
The employees at Honda of Clear Lake went above and beyond to help us get the perfect car for our needs. Everyone was courteous and friendly as well as knowledgeable regarding the Honda product. I drove away in a couple of hours very pleased with my new car. Thanks for the great service! I look forward to a long relationship with Honda of Clear Lake.
I took an older car in for service of safety recalls. Service Advisors were friendly and helpful, but as I sat in the waiting area and watched the other people around me come and go, I stood up and saw my car parked outside. Turns out my service advisor knew that my car was done, had my papers in her hand, and then put them on her desk and went to lunch without telling anyone about my car. So I sat for and extra 30-45 minutes for absolutely no reason. It would have been longer if I had not noticed my vehicle and spoken up.
STAY AWAY from the service department here!!We brought in our Honda Pilot with a factory Honda front bra that was in immaculate condition for AC work. Upon picking the car up, I notice that the techs cut the front mesh of the bra for no apparent reason. (See Attached Photo). You can not access the AC from the Honda emblem of the car so why cut the mesh and damage property. The service advisor Pete Tran told me to go online to find a replacement which I felt it was something the dealer should of done to rectify the situation. Reluctantly I did, and I found out that the Honda OEM bra is discontinued. So Pete Tran said the best the dealer can help me out with is $100 to replace a genuine Honda front bra. $100 cant even buy the hood part of the bra so i declined. To me this is a huge slap to the face and I question myself, did they use genuine AC parts to fix my car or did they cheap out with some generic brand? What about the previous suspension work that I had done? Was those already cheap out with generic brand? Oil changes? The list goes on and on.What if you had some Nitto tires on your car and it was damaged? Will they just give you $100 to go buy a replacement walmart tire?ALWAYS check your car before you leave the dealership. Because I was not notify that there were some damages.
I bought a used 2018 Honda Civic from Honda Clear Lake. Tajinderpal was the salesman we worked with, and he was incredibly kind and patient with my wife and I. We looked at a few of their used offerings and eventually landed on the Civic. We were in and out within 3 hours (this is including 2 test drives). The Civic’s AC wasn’t blowing cold, and they had the issue fixed prior to me driving off the lot. Rawan was our finance person, and she was incredibly personable and efficient.Overall a great experience, and I would recommend them to family or friends. Also! Anthony on the new car sales side of things was also very helpful and patient with us on a previous visit, even though we weren’t able to find what we needed. He’s great!
Chance is your man. He sold my wife and I our first new car. He’s the man yo go to. Extremely professional and not pushy. Everyone there is. Everyone professional and took great care of us. From chance to the new sales manager to the finance manger and director. That’s the place to go !
Our dealer Kevin was amazing. We came in just to look because we had never looked at Hondas before. He helped us and answered all of our questions. When we decided to leave and look at other cars he did not pressure us as other dealers did. He gave us his number and said he wanted us to be happy in whatever care we choose. Over the next few days he answered any questions we had by text and I can tell you to me that made the world of difference. I hate feeling pressured and he only made us feel comfortable. I found the car of my dreams and it was a pleasure doing business with Honda and Kevin.
I moved to the area about 18 months ago, so I have only visited this dealership 3 times. The first time was for an oil change and tire rotation. They found a nail in the tire, and repaired it at no additional charge. The second time was to have the patch they installed corrected. My tire was losing air, which it wasnt doing with the nail in it. Again, they repaired it without charge. The third time was for another oil change and tire rotation. They did not appear to be busy, but it took about 15 minutes for someone to be available to check in my car. He took my information and keys and said they would get me in as soon as possible so I could get on my way. No time commitment was given. Two hours later, I am just getting my car back. It is first come, first serve, so I cant really fault them for the time it took. I just wish he gave me an indication of how long it would have been instead of saying he will get me in as soon as possible. That made me think it would be soon. When I saw my car being pulled in, I stood by the window to watch. I saw the tech change the left side tires, front to back and back to front. I thought I may have missed something, as I know the back tires cross over as they move to the front. I watched closer as he changed the right side. Again, front to back and back to front. When my car was ready, I questioned them about how they rotate tires. He said they should have crossed the rears as they moved them. He then called the service manager, who confirmed that. Since they were not rotated correctly, they said they would take it back out and correct it. This was fine, but now I had to wait another 20 minutes for work that should have been completed the first time.I tried contacting the service department, concerned that I am paying for work that is not being done correctly. It has been almost a week , and I have not heard back from anyone. At this point, I do not feel comfortable returning for service work. I do not feel that I should have to watch over them to make sure the work I am paying for is done correctly.
I purchased a certified used car Saturday and have to say Tyrone took very great care of us and could not be happier with our experience. We were looking for a new car for my wife and new addition to the family. He listened to all our concerns and really made the buying process easier.
Terrible customer experience. This must be a 0 stars review. My advice is to read carefully all the small letters and all docs you sign, or you might end paying for some unwanted services or charges. Thanks to my bank I found out they were charging these unwanted services or products. Their service department staff are simple UNPROFESSIONAL, they are not trained to treat customers. If you are expecting a friendly smile or a thank you for your business (= your money), you are in the wrong place. They dont even say hello or look at you at all when talking to them. I am not longer using their free oil change service to avoid the disgusting visit to this place. I will never come back to this place, I prefer to pay for the service at another Honda dealer, but never ever at Honda of Clear Lake. They should consider offering customer service training to their staff and managers, this might reduce the loss of customers and a lot of ugly reviews.
This place…. Is the worst Honda dealership I’ve EVER been to. I’ve been with Honda for a very long time and so has my entire family for many many years and never have I ever experienced such terrible service. I came to Honda with the intention to buy my Honda as my lease had expired. I had 11k left on the car and wanted to refinance the remaining, option to buy. Please tell me how I ended up buying my car for 21k with an APR of 6.9?! I feel cheated, lied to and stolen from. I called my bank that I’ve been with for over 16 years and they were going to give me the remaining I owed for the car with an APR of 3.9!! These people basically stole my money, gave me a nice pat on the back and a middle finger…. They added all these extra fees and services that I do not need to try to gouge as much money as they could from me. I’m so disappointed and will NOT be purchasing my next vehicle from Honda again. For those who are leasing your vehicle and would like to buy your car, PLEASE go elsewhere for your refinance!!!!!
Honda of Clear Lake is THE standard for ALL dealership service centers! The professionalism paired with first class friendliness can not be matched. I appreciate the care that is shown from the time I check in with my go-to service associate (Ted Holt) to the time I check out. Shout out to the service department manager, Eddie Guillory, for always taking the time to reach out during and after service is being provided. Although I only stop in (routinely) two or three times year, I love this place!
To tell you the truth, with negative reviews on google I was skeptical to go to this place for buying a car. I bought Chevy Spark from this dealership. I was simply amazed. From the moment I stepped in to the time I stepped out was one seamless experience. From Abdal, the used car salesman to Kevin in Finance department, were absolutely amazing people. Abdal even delivered my car all the way from Clear Lake to North Houston. There was no rushing or pushing. Everything went just smooth. Today, I went to cancel my Extended Warranty Service Contract and that process was handled with utmost professionalism and courtesy by one lady Rawan Sarabi in Finance Department. She is simply fabulous. To all those who are held back by negative reviews, I would recommend them to visit this place for all used or new car buying needs, without worry.
Avoid this dealership. On April 21 I literally waited 3 12 hours for an oil change! This is crazy and unacceptable. My service advisor was nice and apologetic, but seemed stressed and overwhelmed. Too many people waiting!Today, I took my car to a private technician and found a loose oil filter, left by the Honda technician.Again, avoid this dealership!I am waiting for someone from Honda of Clea Lake to reply to my complaint to them.
Mr. Eddie the service manager was extremely professional and pleasant. I drove 40 mins to this dealership for an oil change. When I arrived they were extremely busy and backed up. I was told they couldnt fit my car in because of the time. I was frustrated and disappointed but Mr. Eddie came and asked if I needed any help. He made sure I was taken care of in no time. I appreciate managers like him. Ill definitely be back.
My family and I had a great experience purchasing two cars at this dealership. I didn’t feel pressured in buying a car and even negotiated pretty well with me. Trent the sales person was very helpful with any and all questions I had.I would definitely recommend them or shop here again.
I highly recommend Honda of Clear Lake for their service department. We had just moved down to Texas from Alaska when our ac stopped working. Jeff took such great care of us. He was able to out in an emergency request to get the replacement part in asap since it was back ordered. They got us a rental car that was amazing while they had our car. Jeff even had our car inspected for us to get it registered here while they had it. I was always in and out very quickly when I dropped off and picked up. I cant tell you how welcome everyone that worked there made us feel along with getting our car fixed asap! If you need a Honda or need service, go here!
Parking is huge, plenty of chairs in the waiting area they have snacks, water and coffee! you can see the technicians trough the glass wall i took my yorkie and they let her inside!! i only do oil change bc everything else is extremely pricy..Updated- took my car 3 times for the same issue never did they repair it or reimbursed me first they said spark plugs and nothing they dont know what they are doing!! Its ridiculous this will be my last time buying a car there or fixing it
I purchased my first car from this dealership and will certainly be going back. I was initially stressed due to bad past experiences, but Leo Hernandez took care of me and made my experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was very relaxed and I felt like I was the most important customer there (there were a lot of people there). I walked out with exactly what I wanted, a beautiful CR-V Touring Hybrid. I would also like to give a shout-out to Tony in service as he was my initial caretaker and to Rachon in finance. Everything was top-notch! Thank you.
If I can give 0 star, I will. This happened not only once but twice. I put a mark and took a photo of my CRVs oil filter before I bring it to them for oil change. On the receipt, it tells there what they have done and what are things needed. Guess what? After three days I check the oil filter and the mark on the filter is still there? what a co-incidence! How can a filter have the same mark if it was changed? L*@rs! Filters are cheap and can be bought anywhere, but the time and effort spent waiting for my car on my only day off and bring back to undo their job. I am doing this review because I was so confident that this is a reputable HONDA service center to care for our car but unfortunately it was not and they have done it twice already. I want people to be aware of what they are doing so you better check your cars (mark with utility knife) after bringing it to Honda of Clearlake Service Center.
Very clean and organized service department. Top notch facility! Amazing service. The best technician I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. His name is Tyler and I highly recommend asking for him to help you with your services. He is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, kind and patient. You will be very Thankful to have him for your auto service needs!
Cant understand how a car comes with no owner manual. Amazing they could not find one. Also get everything in writing before you sign the contract. I learned my lesson this time. Puts the thought of shady practices in my mind. Will not go to them again. They lost my business. Buyer beware!
Ted in Service was going to leave me stranded with a dead battery on Christmas Eve.My Honda battery died at around noon on Christmas Eve. After getting my car jumped, I came into the service department around 1 and informed Ted that I purchased the battery from another Honda dealership and it should be under warranty.Ted was able to view my service record and see my battery was under warranty. He then told me he couldn’t replace the battery without a receipt. He called the dealership and asked for them to fax it over, which they said they would. He told me to have a seat and it would take 45 min.I returned to look for Ted a few time before the 45 min were up to ensure they had faxed over the receipt but he wasn’t at his station. Finally, around 1:45 (dealership is closing at 2 for Christmas) he tells me no fax was received and I’d have to pay for the battery. As I am talking to him about why I would need to pay for a battery that’s under warranty and he clearly has a record of the service he tells the porter to remove the new battery from my car!Knowing it’s Christmas Eve and nothing is open that day or then next!I then ask for a manager. The manager understood the situation and told the guys to put the battery back in the car. He said he would call the other dealership when they open after Christmas and get the paperwork they needed to file the warranty with Honda.I did finally leave with a new battery; Ted never apologized for being rude and trying to leave me with a dead battery on Christmas Eve.
Bought a used car here and noticed a small crack in the windshield within 24 hours of buying car. I called and told our sales rep. He said they usually fill in cracks in the glass. I guess they missed this one. A week went by of being told and I owe you will be given to service and service will call to schedule to fix it. Well service never called and despite many attempts on our part to schedule we were not helped. Of course, as Texas weather is temperature fluctuates especially in the winter and the small crack they missed began to spread into a line. We finally just brought the car up there and we were told they weren’t going to touch it now because it had spread. The whole thing could have been avoided if they just did their job and scheduled something for us when we first notified them. Long story short inspect your vehicle if you buy one there because even if it’s an error they missed they will not honor anything they say. Terrible customer service. Better yet just skip buying a car from here all together.
Called ahead and made an appointment to bring my Honda Odyssey in for 3 recalls. Dropped the car off in the morning at the scheduled time. As I’d been given a estimated time for the recall work of a few hours and didn’t hear back from my service advisor for 8 hours, I called bit before closing to get an update on the car. Service advisor put me on hold for quite awhile and than said it would be another 15-30m and he would call when it was ready to pick up. Another hours goes by before I receive the call that the car can be picked up. Advisor gives no indication of any problems with the repairs or other issues. I pick up the car the next day and find out that one of the recall repairs wasn’t done because they didn’t have the parts, but I’m put on the waiting list and get to go through this hassle all over again. Why couldn’t I have been told this when I made the appointment for this specific recall? I would have waited to get them all done at once. And why would the advisor have NOT mentioned this during our calls? Isn’t that his job? Horrible communication. Next I find that the car has some new scratches on the front and am told the manger will give me a call about that. I’m sure I’ll be the one making the call on that one too. 👎
I have been taking my car here for over 3 years now. I have never had a bad experience. The Staff is always friendly and makes a point of speaking or smiling. My Advisor, Billy Williams is wonderful. He explains the service and and gets it done. I really appreciate the Technician who serviced my car. The Customer Service is excellent. I too am in the car business and so appreciate those who provide an exceptional service. Thank you Honda of Clear Lake!
Ive purchased several vehicles from Honda of Clear Lake before they moved to the current location, and one after the move. The service department before the move was dependable, timely, and accurate. Ive since had two occasions to use the service department in 2020. I asked back in April to have a drivers side door seal replaced (seal coming off). When I went to pick up my vehicle, they said there was nothing wrong with the seal. Come o find out they had looked at the wrong seal and would order it and let me know. Never heard from them and not a big enough deal for me to call them. Went in wo weeks ago for a recall, and mentioned the seal again. The tech seemed to understand and even asked me to leave the seal out of place so theyd know which one to fix, even saying he thought they had the part on site. Called later in the afternoon to see if the service was complete (since they hadnt called me), was told it was all done. Came in and the recall service was done, so I asked about the seal. I should not have to ask this, since it was clearly on the service order. I was then told theres nothing we could do- its just like the other one (on the passenger side). I knew that was not the case. I asked them to check again and they did. They then had another tech look and the verified the seal was out of place on he drivers side. The tech (a different one from in the morning when I dropped off my car) said hed order it and would call this current week when it came in. I am displeased that I have to spend more time now bringing my vehicle in again- now a third time for a simple door seal.
Today I purchased my 3rd vehicle from Vishal Patel at Honda of Clear Lake! He is the absolute BEST and has never disappointed me!! I have never been more pleased with a car salesman, a dealship, and the respect of my time like I have with my 3 experiences with them. I refer everyone I can and I am a customer for life. All 3 times I was in and out within 2 hours. If you need a vehicle contact Vishal Patel...super nice and not pushy at all!! His number is locked in my phone for future purchases.
I like honda of clear lake.. I dont like the customer service I recieved from Wayne where I dropped off my honda. I was lied too about my vehicle. I was told my keys was misplaced and that a mechanic may have took them home. However that was not the case. They were really putting my car back together. So he was lying to the mechanics maybe and me?!All I wanted was inspection and too run diagnostic test for the $100 dollars. After waiting for 2 hrs so he says looking for my keys. He finds the keys and bring my car to the front. But before I drove off, something just did feel right so I look under the hood of my car, and there was no radiator fluid at all ..DRYI went inside and notified Wayne which then he goes to say its nothing he can do about that and proceeded to point at where I could purchase some coolant from. I told him everything was full when I dropped off. He said no it was dry. ALL MY RADIATOR PARTS WERE LOOSE and he was going to just let drive away only to create a problem on the way home. I dont think Wayne should be in this particular department.. he talks a good talk HOWEVER just look for better reps. Stay away from Wayne.. hes making Honda of Clear Lake look bad.Oh by the way before I go he changed the price 4 times from and starting at $1900 to $1600 to $1100 to $950.. BAD BUSINESS WAYNE.. STAY AWAY FROM..DONT GO TO THE FIRST GUY YOU SEE IT MIGHT BE WAYNE..Sincerely Roshun Mogan
I cant believe I am writing a review on a car dealership, but I just had the B-E-S-T buying experience ever. I have always hated going to shop/buy a car...I feel like it is a fight and I just want to go home and take a shower to clean off all the dirt afterward. Not here. I truly had a pleasant experience. The sales people, finance people, even the manager were professional, polite, and really tried to understand my familys needs. They didnt push a new car or a used car on us. They helped us make an informed decision and then gave us a terrific price. Outstanding!!! After 10 previous car purchases in my adult life...none of which I enjoyed...this dealership delivered what should have always been the norm!!! Personal, professional service and a fun purchasing experience! Highly recommend!!! 5-stars!!!! Abdal, Ben, Tom...you all rock!!! Thank you!
I made an appointment with Michael Tooley for 9AM the next day for an airbag recall. The place was very busy, but there was plenty of seating and sanitizer everywhere. All employees wore masks, making me feel safe. Michael was personable and efficient. I did have to wait for about an hour and a half or so,, but I was told to expect that. It was a Friday, and they were very busy. Love the new location and with new owners, the management appears to have improved. My Honda is 20 years old. I will be back there for my next vehicle.
Rowan in finance will not offer you standard packages on the car sale. She will also bald faced lie to you about what some of the packages offer. We were told we had everything except the unscheduled maintenance, we dont. We were told we would have free loaners, which we dont have until manufacturers warranty runs out. She didnt offer us the oil change package and they arnt willing to go back and offer us the old package. The new package is almost 3x as much. Our sales person Anthony was great though 5 stars for him. James in service has been wonderful helping to the best of his ability, considering our car is 2 months old and already having problems.
My wife purchased a bumper-to-bumper third-party warranty when she bought her new Mazda 3 hatchback. When her windshield cracked we called the dealership, but they demurred and steered us to a third-party coast-to-coast windshield-replacement company but I could never reach a human nor would their website accept our warranty provider as an insurer. Our warranty provider finally recommended Clear Lake Honda. I spoke with Thomas Nguyen. Wow! Thank you, Thomas, for making our experience so pleasant and nearly effortless. Not only did you react swiftly to meet our needs, you took proactive measures to smooth the process from begin to end. You even offered us a car wash after the adhesive set in a few days. Dude! My wife is considering a trade-in of her Mazda for a Honda. Thank you, Thomas Nguyen and Clear Lake Honda.
The salesperson we dealt with, Anthony Garcia, was so friendly and helpful. He didn’t try to push the sale too hard, but answered all our questions and explained everything to us so we understood exactly what went into the price and the deal. I bought my previous car here and I love my new car from Honda of Clear Lake. A very pleasant experience for our whole family.
Updated 10/14/21: The service center manager very kindly worked out a solution for me with a warranty issue. The work done on my car is always top-notch but it’s the people who work here that make this place outstanding.***********************Excellent service! The work is always done quickly and correctly the first time! Ted Holt is the BEST!
I took my Accord in for airbag replacement. The staff was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the employees abundant humor and obvious happiness with their jobs. I was provided a free loaner vehicle, a brand new Honda, and left expecting my car the next day. I received a call about three hours later informing me that my car was finished. Not only did they replace my airbags and do a software update on the transmission, they conducted a thorough inspection of my car and provided me with the checklist.I will recommend Honda of Clear Lake to my family, friends, and acquaintances. This was truly a great experience with a wonderful dealership and their terrific staff.
I scheduled an appt for an oil change and to get my AC looked at. When I got to the dealership they told me that they don’t look at ACs and stuff over the weekend, but I was able to make an appointment for it. Then the guy that they booked my appt with is no longer here and that too was my fault. Then Micheal Tooley told me I could bring it back during the week to get it looked at but they a day and a half behind. Normally people get things done on a Saturday because they are off. Once my car was finished I had to wait to check out because Micheal who was sitting at his desk doing nothing was too busy to check me out. Micheal lacks every bit of customer experience. He should not have any reaction with the customers. The worst Honda dealership I’ve ever dealt with. First and last time here.
Service department is running a scam. Went in to get an oil change and when I got my car back the tech had messed with the cabin air filter dropping leaves down in the fan and the A/C was making a terrible noise. When I insisted they fix it, they tried to up-sell me with a diagnostics on it for $99. Was told there was no supervisor on duty that I could speak to. Finally, they fixed the issue after I insisted (and I did NOT pay for a diagnostics on it). Dont trust this department.
I went to Honda of clear lake to purchase my first car. The initial purchase was great. However after giving them my money two weeks later they begin blowing up my phone first claiming my check stubs were fake. After resending my check stubs they then said my license was invalid which was false, my license doesn’t expire until 2021. After contacting my loan officer at JSC I then found out they switched my initial loan from JSC to their in house bank which was completely against my word which I clearly stated before signing my contract. I also found out later that they offered me a warranty which increased the price of the car by $2000. The salesmen are shady. The finance department is shady. In my eyes the whole dealership is shady. I will NEVER visit this location again nor will I recommend to any first time buyers. I returned the car due to the shady nature of my entire experience with these men!!!
Extremely disappointed with the friendliness and with the service. I booked an appointment at 7am this morning, with a rental car… when I showed up, at 7 I couldn’t get a rental, because they don’t rent them for service. What a waste of a very busy morning…. Not happy with them at all
Last week I had my Civic serviced. My service advisor, Thomas Nguyen was amazing. He is kind, polite and kept me updated on my car repairs and on the time Id be there. Thomas has the best customer service skills and is awesome. Its nice to have someone who is always there to keep you updated on time and on any changes if necessary. Hes very professional. Thank you Thomas!
Thomas has been outstanding. I just moved to the area and already needed new brakes. He was able to get my car taken care of quickly and efficiently. Little did I know I would be seeing him again so soon....the air compressor needed to be replaced. Not only was he kind and efficient, he did his best to keep the cost as low as possible and checked in frequently on the progress of the repair. Thank you, Thomas!
After some hair raising driving through construction I made it to the new dealership for service. There were 2 associates waiting for me and one of the owners himself who talked to me awhile about my car. It felt like being back on vacation and receiving concierge level service. Very friendly, helpful and fast service. We have long refused to purchase service packages but I would actually consider it here.
I hope this helps you understand where your customer service is, and how it does in deed.I have been contacted by my friend who bought 2020 Honda Accord few months ago at Big Star Hound for very good price; 19500$ and the vehicle cost him out of the door just a little above 21000$. I started looking for Accords, and got in touch with Clear Lake Honda internet sales. They send me a quote for 19300$ Honda Accord 2020, I have the e-mail. I asked them to reconfirm price and they did, with manager Steve Bramlet. However, before I had taken off from my work to get to the Honda Clear Lake dealership, I wanted to get the out of the door price, and guess what. For the car we had discussed, which has been confirmed to be 19300$, the out of the door quote was 27000$ plus. The cost of the vehicle was suddenly 25700$. I will never even consider your dealership again, and I am sure none of my friends too. I have even more comments on the way your sales manager conducted over the phone, but that is up to your internal quality control and customer service to deal with. Just to say, I got what I wanted today with different Honda dealership, for the price which is even 500$ less. I am very very disappointed that from dealership to dealership, the way you treat customer is not the same and your place is among the worst I have ever dealt with.Stanko
A year ago I gave this place 4 stars for the two times we purchased a new Honda and it was great. Lee was very helpful and the process went smoothly. However, this last experience which is more directed at the service department, has not settled well with me.When bringing the car in for a minor hiccup on the road, they replaced the part that was missing but they were going to let us leave without telling us about the paint started chipping due to placing the part back on. It wasnt until I specifically asked them about it that anything was mentioned. We did not appreciate how this was handled at all. Before even allowing them to repair the vehicle, I specifically asked if there would be anything else that would need to be fixed or tended to and was told no but if there was we would receive a call. There was no call except that everything was the same as quoted and when the car was available for pickup. Oh, they were quick to try to recommend we replace all four of our tires, though... Long story short, we now have to take our vehicle to a body shop to get this problem sorted out. I would have preferred to take it to a repair shop that could have taken care of everything in one shot instead of having to bring it to two separate places.I recommend this Honda for purchasing a vehicle but I do not recommend anyone bring their vehicle in for service other than the standard oil change.
Made an appointment for a safety recall. Youre shorthanded. Ok thats fine. What is not right is a priveledged woman coming in after me (whining about customer loyalty, ironically) being attended to first. Plus, this Alicia (spelling) worker facilitated the other customer getting attended to first. This worker has zero people skills. Customer service has gotten worse here.
This dealership will try to scam you. They will quote you a price online and then during negotiations they keep coming back and the price just keeps getting higher and higher with bogus charges. Dont make the mistake I did. Dont agree to bogus charges such as nitrogen in the tires, pinstripe, window tinting, destination charges which are already figured into the MSRP. If they keep increasing the cost leave right away and go somewhere that deals honestly.
I have always had excellent service from Honda of CL. This visit was no exception. Nick was professional, explained things clearly. When I decided to get extra work done, he put me in a loner car for the rest of the day. The dealership is always very clean and well maintained.
Honda has always taken care of us since day one. Our representative Peter Tran its awesome. I took my car for an oil change and there was a long wait but he knew we had our trip to Dallas and he speed up the process. Our oil change was done on time and We were able to hit the road. Thanks Peter for taking a little bit of your time to handle our situation. I really recommend Mr. Peter Tran and the staff from Honda. Thanks!
I had purchased a 2018 Honda Odyssey Elite from this dealership back in July of 2018. The sale of the car went fine. Better than fine actually as our salesperson was fantastic to work with. The finance department however misled me completely on the coverage of their extended warranty as I just found out today, a year and a half later. I specifically asked for glass coverage on that vehicle being that a new windshield costs about $1500 to replace. They sold me an extended service warranty that ran almost $3000 on top of the purchase price of the vehicle with the “promise” that glass coverage was included. Turns out now, a year and a half later, when I finally did have to call in a claim on that warranty since I now have a large crack in the windshield, they are now telling me it is not included. Essentially, everything but the glass is covered according to what they have told me today. I’ve had glass coverage on every new vehicle I have purchased in the past 3 years. You basically have to in the Houston area as bad as the roads are with rocks and construction and as ridiculous as the prices are to replace these new rain sensing windshields. It’s a shame that sales department does such a good job of taking care of the customer, but as soon as they hand you over to the finance side, they take full advantage of you because they have to sell you these extended warranties any way they can to justify their job. After a conversation with the finance department today, they told me “there is nothing we can do about it and even if you wanted to purchase the glass coverage now, it would not cover this ‘pre-existing’ damage”. What a joke. Watch what you sign people!
About a month ago I purchased a new Ridgeline, while the purchasing experience was smooth, prompt and without drama after the purchase is when the problems started. A couple of days after the purchase while washing the truck I noticed some paint defects in several areas. When I went back to the dealership my salesperson (Cody) referred me to his sales manager, he stated that this was from rock chips and that there was nothing that he could do about it. When I pushed back, he stated that I would have to take it up with Honda. Isnt that the job of the dealership to negotiate with the manufacturer on my behalf? If I were rating Honda of Clear Lake solely on my experience with the sales manager it would have to be one star maybe two if I were generous. Then I was able to get with Mike Randolph in the service department and his supervisor, they sent me to their body shop expert (Not Honda of Clear Lake) and after he did an examination of the problems he stated to me that there was no way that the issues with the paint were from paint chips. He wrote an estimate to the dealership and later that day Mike called me back to say that Honda was going to pay for the paint repairs. I asked if I would be receiving a rental car while the work was being done and he told me that the sales manager turned down that request but that the service department would pick that up.I brought the truck back and dropped it off a few days later, the repairs were done promptly and it looks great. Kudos to the service department for taking care of business, they were great and have followed up on other items like a champ. What I cant get my head around is if Honda was willing to pay for this problem as I would expect them to, why couldnt the sales manager go that route and get the problem solved? It seems like it was a counter productive move that was frustrating for everyone involved and not necessary.
I had a great experience with this dealership. They were very willing to work with my budget and I got a great car that I love for an amazing price. Kevin V was our salesman and he did an amazing job and overall seems like a great person. If you could pass this feedback to him that would be greatly appreciated.
This location has the best customer service bar none. I have been to 5 different Honda locations and this one consistently delivers the great experience. The service advisors, no matter who I get, is professional. They take the time to explain the jargons and what your car needs. I have never felt pressured into going through with a repair or maintenance. The facility is new and the ambiance is relaxing. Even though there is a Honda closer to my residence, I still travel here because of the wonderful service they offer.
I bought an almost new car on Carvana.com. It had less than 7000 miles on it. I took it to Honda of Clear Lake to have it looked over. It was VERY easy to make an appointment. They did an inspection on the car and it passed with flying colors. A GREAT service area in my opinion!
Save your time and money and go to another Honda Dealership for any type of service. I have been a Honda customer for 3 years and have been to 2 other dealerships for service. This is the first time I feel DUPED and COMPLETELY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF.I was handed off to a different service rep everytime I went in to the shop. The service rep I dealt with on the phone (Otis) was never there. I told them that another dealership had recommended a service, and to check with them what it was. Clear Lake Honda did not check with the other dealership, just performed the service, and charged me. However, they did have the audacity to call and tell me that they wanted to perform an additional service. This service was just performed 5 days ago from another dealership. Not a big deal, but I specifically mentioned this had been done. When I was checking out, the cashier was on her phone under the desk the entire time. Icing on the cake is they forgot to reset my oil change percentage after I got in my car.THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR CAR. THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY.If you are in San Antonio, I highly recommend Fernandez Honda or if you are in Denver, Planet Honda was a pleasure to work with. I would rather set my car on fire than have it serviced at Clear Lake Honda.
I purchased a Honda from Rochan Morgan a few months backs and was incredible. Patient, not pushy and gave us a great deal. He was super friendly and even dropped off the car for us to our home. I’m one of those people who hates the car buying process but Rochan made it smooth. He has followed up with us even months later to help resolve a few little issues /questions we had. He is prompt and truly cares. Thanks so much Honda clear lake! Btw, over the last two decades our family has bought our 4th Honda here because it beats all the other competitors in the Houston area in pricing and service
This was the first time I had visited Honda of Clear Lake. Overall the people here are quite nice. My salesperson was Byron. He gave us informative insights about my vehicle and let us test drive. He wasnt pushy but when we went into the finance part of the equation they were. I had to go back and forth and finally we decided on a price. I do enjoy my new Honda. I would recommend this place to anyone but come in doing your homework so one doesnt get ripped off. We had a set price in mind as well as paperwork from other dealers offering competitive prices. This made negotiating easier.
We purchased a used 2010 Prius from Honda of Clear Lake. We liked our sales person, finance person, and we received a good price on the car. Within a few weeks of the purchase, we discovered that the rear brakes were bad, the filters needed to be changed, and the stabilizer bars and bushings were leaking. Between the diagnostics, labor, and materials, we have a repair bill for over a thousand dollars. I spoke with the used car manager, and he was very abrupt and not helpful. He basically said to me - “you got a good deal on the car...so these repairs are your responsibility.” Be careful buying a used car from Honda Cars of Clear Lake. We bought a car with bad brakes and leaking stabilizer bars and bushings. This is how the car was sold. We should have done our homework before buying the car - we thought we did. We bought the car for our teenage daughter. I’m most disappointed with my interaction with David, the used car manager. Not helpful at all. We also bought an expensive extended warranty and of course it covers none of the work needed.
Ted provided excellent customer service. He made getting a loaner car seamless. He contacted me through the day with updates on the repair assessment, and had my vehicle ready to go for 7:00 am pick up. He made sure I was satisfied with the service on my car. The service department is very dependable at Honda of Clear Lake.
We had a particular vehicle that we wanted to see and it was unavailable, thankfully for us. We ended up looking at a much nicer vehicle and were given an exceptional deal on it. We were very impressed with the level of care from this dealer. We will definitely buy again!
I’ve purchased three vehicles over the years. My most recent will be the absolute last. I’ve been fighting for over two years to get them to refund me for a warranty that I did not want. The salesman charged me for the extended warranty when I requested the tire, wheel, paint protection. I’ve been on several occasions and submitted the paperwork countless times and all to no avail. The dealership is beyond shady. I did the required steps to get the refund for the SALESMAN mistake and it’s obvious I’m never getting it.
My husband and I had a fantastic experience buying a car from Honda of Clear Lake. The gave us a great trade in value for our vehicle, and we only negotiated for 5 minutes on the price for the new vehicle. We settled on an offer that was more than fair...got a great price for the new car. They were friendly, reasonable, and Johnny Argueta, our sales guy, was great. He was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I absolutely love the vehicle I purchased, as well. All in all, a 5 star experience.Update: Service Department deserves 5 stars as well. They are wonderful!
Went here for a replacement key after the fob stopped working. Called them and was told it was in stock and that they’d be able to replace it only to drive twenty minutes out, wait for ten, and be told that it wasn’t in stock. They then recommended another dealership twenty minutes in the opposite direction. Customer service was lackluster and communication was pathetic.
Otis welcomed me upon arrival for a scheduled maintenance appointment. He quickly showed me where coffee, bottled water and restroom are after finding out this was my first time visiting their new location. Although the originally appointed service advisor wasnt readily available, he took over and got work started. The waiting room is comfortable and equipped with table, high chair and outlet for charging. The 15k miles maintenance was completed in less than two hours. Discount coupon was applied correctly n served items explained in details. The whole experience was excellent.
My 2014 Honda Pilot was taken in for service at Honda of Clear Lake in League City, TX on 11/20/20. My Service Advisor was Ted Holt. Ted was professional and straightforward in his communications. My vehicle was diagnosed with Code P0302 cylinder misfire with fouled spark plugs requiring a piston ring repair. The estimated cost was over $3,000. This is the same vehicle defect covered by Honda Service Bulletin 13-082.SB 13-082, referencing the Court Case Soto v. American Honda, extended the power train warranty for 8 years and unlimited miles for repairs for 2011-13 model year Pilots.I purchased my 2014 Pilot in October, 2013 at Honda of Fort Worth. This was the fourth Honda vehicle I have purchased, going back to the 1990s. I have done all my service at Honda dealers since then.I called Honda customer service on 11/23/20 and was told that because my vehicle was a model year 2014, Honda was unwilling to cover the repair, even though it is the same issue that was covered by SB 13-082. I sought assistance with this repair on the basis that it is the right thing to do for a long term customer that has a recognized defect.Clear Lake Honda also contacted American Honda on 11/23/20 to request assistance on my behalf, with no effect. CLH offered a discount on the service estimate, still leaving a total repair bill of over $3,000. I authorized the repair which was completed on 11/28/20.I received a call a week later asking for feedback. I said that I was not satisfied, and was told that the representative would follow up and call me back. I never heard anything more. After a more than 20 year customer relationship, I hope to never again set foot in any Honda dealer.
Outstanding. My service advisor, Pete Tran, is a consummate professional. He listened to the symptoms of my car problems; advised what it could be; explained how soon the service dept could get to it, had a loaner ready for me & kept me apprised of the repair progress. When the car was ready, he carefully explained the extent of damage, the repair & a suggested follow-up course of action. The cost of the repair was fair & reasonable. Additionally, the Service Admin assistants, ensured my loaner was satisfactory & explained the complete process. They were efficient & expedited the process both in & out.I would highly recommend the Honda of Clear Lake Service Dept.
Horrible experience... I gave a star but that was really pushing it. I noted that the Q60 was way overpriced, but as I go on there site you can see they’ve dropped the price lower and lower every other day. The vehicle is not sold to this day, I was an approved customer but was trying to hard ball me and lost out on a deal in which I bought the same car at another location (returned it due to a major scratch on the rear bumper), Sale guy didn’t even know nothing about the product there selling. Finance manager don’t have a clue either, no lenders to be a big dealer. Avoid this place. Horrible customer service. After this post about a week later the price dropped tremendously, the owner directed me to talk a manager and I was able to purchase the vehicle after all. I can say a lot but rather not on why this didn’t happen when I initially took the time to drive 45 minutes to this place two weeks ago. Overall I am happy on the results, didn’t know until later that I shook the hands of the owner on both visits. Finance employee stated he’s great/hands on guy and is available at the dealer every day. Thanks to the Owner
I had an amazing experience at Clear Lake Honda! I’m not one to haggle...Nathan Hughes did an amazing job finding the perfect car for me! He was knowledgeable about the features and was extremely patient as I asked many questions. Bennett was able to negotiate a deal that was fair for both the dealership and me and Nina in finance was incredible with getting great terms and warranties! Cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience I had at Clear Lake Honda!
Simply put, Honda of Clear Lake gave me the best car-buying experience Ive ever had. Donny, my salesman, was extremely knowledgeable and patient as he answered all of my questions about the 2017 Honda Ridgeline. I like to gather information about a vehicle before I pull the trigger to purchase it, and he completely understood this and did not pressure me into buying the truck the first day I was there. He was very honest with his opinions about what trim would be the best fit for me given my circumstances, and he did not try to sell me unnecessary upgrades. When I was ready to buy it, Donny was there for me in every way. He was extremely accessible anytime I needed to contact him. He told me he would be able to give me a great price, which he did. I had a list of add-on accessories that I wanted for the truck, and they were all there as promised. He spent plenty of time giving me a tutorial on how to use the audio and navigation system, which was a big help. He even stayed well after closing waiting for me to finish up with the financial person there (who was also great, by the way).I can honestly say that my entire experience with Honda of Clear Lake was fantastic, and I am extremely happy with my new truck. Thanks again, Donny!
The car-buying process took way too long. I realize the longer you have someone on site the better the odds of a sale, but we were buying. The paperwork and subsequent activities took a frustrating amount of time. The sales guy was great, the sales manager we spoke with was great, but the length of time we had to wait was not appreciated. I most likely will not purchase another vehicle at Clear Lake Honda.
Went and had some services done on my car and Thomas Nguyen was the gentleman who helped me. He was extremely helpful and super nice...even with me changing my mind multiple times and asking tons of questions because I wasnt sure what to exactly get done on my car. Ive never had such great customer service there before (usually everyone is in a bad mood and is rushing you out the door), but I had an amazing experience with him! Ask for Thomas if you want great customer service, you wont be disappointed :) hes awesome and seems to truly care about his customers.
I’m extremely disappointedI came here to buy my very first car and left with a Ford Fusion. I was so happy with it, I absolutely loved everything about it, until they contacted me and told me to go in for a “state inspection” . I went in and waited for about 20 minutes before a guy came up to me and told me that the real reason why they had me there is to take back the car I just bought two weeks ago.I was so confused. He handed me my money back and told me the bank didn’t approve me??? then why did they give me a car in the first place??? please make it make sensedon’t sell someone a car and get their hopes up just to ask for it back in two weeks.I felt so embarrassed, I will never be going back.
We have bought a 2016 C- from them on the 1st of January. We were told that an AC hose was leaking and that the car would be repaired. The papers provided claimed that the AC Compressor was replaced with an OEM part to the manufacturers satisfaction. Its been 5 days since then, and the AC does not work anymore. We will be going back soon, and we hope that the dealership will keep their, (and Hondas), reputation, and deal with us fairly.UPDATE: we were able to work or a great deal. Their customer service was EXCELLENT. Our salesman was Ryan and we highly recommend him. Once again, great dealership, great people, and a great price on our car ...If you want to deal with honest people, make sure you come here. (No compensation, just a happy customer.)
We are a 2 Honda, 1 Acura family and hadnt found a dealer to handle our service since moving to Houston until now! I looked up the reviews and Honda of Clear Lake had the best in the area. Ted, one of the service advisors had multiple 5 stars ratings with his customers raving about how awesome he is and now I understand why. I brought my daughters 2004 CR-V in first which needed a lot of preventative maintenance since she just returned from college. Ted was great. He emailed me a detailed list of recommended work and we both went over the priorities that needed to be addressed now and those items that either I could do or wait until the next service. He didnt try to up sell me or create any type of hysteria that if I didnt complete something the car would fall apart. During the course of work the technicians found a few more items that needed to be addressed and Ted immediately notified me which helped reduce the amount of time we were without a vehicle. Ted made sure the car was completed on time, washed and engine steam cleaned. My daughter has a like new car now! Next review will be my experience with my Ridgeline being worked on but Im sure itll also be 5 starts!
This by far one of the best Honda dealership. They have moved from Clear Lake to League City. The staff is friendly and courteous. Their new facility looks clean, modern and has many different seating areas throughout the dealership. They have all kinds coffee available while you wait. Mocha, Cappuccino, French Vanilla and few other options. One of the best things I like about their new facility are the service lanes. Especially the express service they offer. As far as I remember it’s 6 or 7 lanes, maybe more. With many service advisors to greet you before you even drive in. We personally bought a used car and a new car from them and had great experience using their service. Totally recommend!
Ive gotten two cards from Honda of Clear Lake this year and Im satisfied with the quality of service Ive received from the sales people to the guys on Finance making time to give a plan thatll work for us.I took one car for Service after a week for a noise I heard and wasnt sure it was a common noise for the model, they tested 3 different cars of the same model before confirming its normal. Im glad they were willing to test and not just discard it off hand.Everyone Ive had interactions with there are willing to help
I didn’t purchase my car from here, but I certainly wish that I had. The amazing Customer service, respect and communication I received while I serviced my car here is what drove me to write this review. I was assigned a dedicated employee to keep in contact with while my car was being serviced and she kept me updated each step of the way. I had a small emergency which required me to leave and she made sure I received a loaner car to help me out. I really appreciate how everyone on their staff had a friendly smile, greeted me and held doors open for me. The price I paid for service was fair, the customer service was outstanding. Thanks so much, I’ll be back to purchase my next vehicle from here for sure.
I purchased a 2013 preowned Nissan Pathfinder and literally 2 weeks later I’m out of town and my car won’t start and it wouldn’t go in drive IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET! I contacted the car lot and spoke with bashar and he says to me “well there’s nothing I can do with u being in Alabama” I stated that I have an extended warranty and I’m that I was expecting him to go through protocol. He then says “ well u want me to help u or not” I don’t like that sarcasm when I’m out of town with my children! Very unprofessional!
I was so happy to get my car only to be disappointed after driving home I learned that their was a big chunk of piece of the tire missing and the dealership and Sales associate let me drive off in my car like that. I went back the same week to have them change the tire out to address my concerns and the Head manager at Honda came out and told me the tire was no concerns that they did check it toMake sure it was safe for me to drive , I totally disagreed but what choice do I have except keep the tires because they refuse to switch it out. Then I had to go back again to the dealership because I didn’t have anywhere to attach my plates to when I received them. They said I need to get the front plates or else I could be ticketed. While I was there the Manager of service department inform me that the lights beneath the headlights were out. So again I had to get that fix. And then after 3 days of getting my car the rear camera went out and I went to have it fix and I was told I needed to pay for it which is $600 so I spoke to my sales person Beto Hernandez about it and he said he couldn’t do anything about it. What a great customer service. I feel that he should’ve made sure all was working when I drove off with my car. So they say never judge a dealership just by first experience so I referred my son to buy a car and I never got my referral fee that Honda said I would get if I referred anybody. And yet again another let down so no more will I refer or buy a car from this dealership. Bad manager and unexperienced sales man.
Went in for an oil change on the weekend and was told it would be an hour long wait. It turned out it took about 45 min and I was in and out quickly. This was place is cleaned and the staff are helpful. Thank you for T. Nguyen who handle my care service that early morning. He was professional and friendly to talk with.
I cant say enough great things about Ted Holt. He went above and beyond to make sure I had a satisfactory customer experience. We did encounter some minor difficulties with wrong information from the mechanics and extremely long wait times, but Ted went out of his way to make sure I was completely happy. If it werent for Ted, I probably wouldnt go back to Honda Clear Lake - but because of him, I wont go anywhere else! He provided the best customer service I have ever received - and Im 52 years old! He should get a raise or a promotion - I would make sure to never lose Mr. Holt!
Oil service technician didn’t torque oil drain plug causing oil to drain from engine causing engine to lick up and seize. 2016 civic with only 50,000 miles. General Manager Mr Bishop doesn’t want to take responsibility for either malicious or negligent service done there. Will settle in court!
Thomas Nguyen and Brandon in the service express department are the most sincere, knowledgeable and honest representatives I have ever met. These guys and the Service express department team in general is the ONLY reason why I am writing this review and rating this dealership 5+ stars. The sales department is absolutely terrible and will do and say ANYTHING to make a quick dollar. I had an extremely Negative experience with sales and for that reason I will ONLY speak about the service department. There is something to be said about individuals who take pride in making sure their customers are well taken care of while waiting and before driving off the lot and I am extremely grateful for their consistent honesty, hospitality, respect, and hard work. A loaner car is always available, they go above and beyond to work with customers when it comes to expenses and the technicians are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to their products. Overall, I have always left satisfied.
Best service ever, these guys will have your back and the customer service far exceeds my expectations. I was being helped by Carlos up front and Bobby was working on our car. These guys were amazing and i will remember them personally from how good they treated my wife and i. Thank yall so much for hiring men like them! This is where you go for your cars needs, these guys are 100 percent best!
This was by far one of the best car buying experiences I have had. John was a newbie but he handled everything like a pro! Turns out I was his first car sale. I did not feel any pressure and was able to look at all of the Honda models they had. His manager and colleagues were very supportive of John and did not (at any time) feel intrusive. In fact, I felt like I had an entire team of people helping me make the best selection for me. Everyone was so nice and easy going. They all made sure that I was comfortable with my decision and understood all of the features. At the end of the day I chose the Honda Fit. I am loving this car. It may be classified as a tiny compact but there is nothing tiny about this car. Love Love Love it! I took it to the beach and it handled the sand perfectly! Thank you Honda of Clear Lake for making this such a positive experience!!!! Janine
Got lied to about price as soon as we sat down with floor salesman. Nina the finance manager lied that the bank financing me needed a warranty and disability insurance for as a risk factor from the bank. The car battery was dead, and would not start back up after stopping nearby for food. When I took the car back for a new battery and alignment, took 3 hours with an appointment. Drove the car back up to Conroe 55 miles away, I could feel the alignment was only worse. I called Mike in the service department. He said that there was nothing better they could do. I was blown away by his response. Avoid this dealership at all cost.
I had an enjoyable experience with Clear Lake. Abdal, Vishal, and Rupert were very helpful. The staff was friendly and courteous and made my car buying experience smooth and painless. I purchased a Honda Civic and they were quick to remove the dents and scratches on the car body. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 star review is that they sold me a car with a cracked windshield. It has chips in 3 places. Its as much my fault for not noticing until I drove off the lot but I wish it could have been fixed prior to the sale. Overall though I would buy from here again.
We were on our way from Oklahoma to Galveston for vacation and our 2012 Honda Odyssey started mis-firing. Thankfully we were pretty close to League City and looked up Honda of Clear Lake. We limped in, Ted worked with me on the phone to get us there safely, he did a bunch of research before we even got there and determined our Odyssey was included in a recall for this problem. They rented us another car for only $20 a day, did a $2000 plus repair on the pistons at no charge to us, and had us back in our van in 2 days. Not to mention Ted, the guy who worked with us start to finish was SUPER helpful, kind, and professional. I don’t write reviews very often, but these guys deserve it. THANK YOU, Honda of Clear Lake (and Ted)!
Jennifer Ellis did an excellent job of reporting to me the problems that needed to be resolved and the ones that could be deferred for budgetary reasons. She knows her products and got my work done promptly.I am happy to identify as my service rep there at Clear Lake Honda.Thomas knows Honda. I have relied upon his wisdom and insight that have kept me from expensive repairs and kept me on the road. I rely upon my Insight to get me to work and home; and I rely upon Thomas and Clear Lake Honda to keep my car on the road.
I recently took my Honda Odyssey in to repair some problems I was having. Pete was the person that helped me and he was very informative and helpful, he explained everything I needed to know about the problems with my vehicle. It was repaired quicker then expected. I was pleased all the way around with the repair process and would return if I ever needed any more work on the van.
I went in for 30k Mile service today and paid about $530 for the full inspection and everything after I was told by the service advisor this would be best. I agreed, and they took about 2 hours to do a full 19 point inspection and change filters, fluids, etc. I drove back home and to the store and my indicator lights start going off. And normally I wouldnt be this upset but this is a 2016 Civic that has been serviced before and Im being charged $500+ for it to have problems. It hasnt even been a full day yet. These people are quick to add on extra services but are we even getting what we paid for? And although this may be something small, it is very inconvenient and came with a very big price tag and I absolutely feel jilted. I have pictures and a copy of the receipt about what should have been done but apparently wasnt done properly. Not impressed and definitely not how you get a first time customer to stay.Update: I had to return 2 more times that day only to find out someone didnt properly read a service bulletin and failed to properly calibrate some systems. And service reps kept asking me to give good reviews on my survey.Update to my update: I got a call from a manager who apparently caught wind of the poor service and apologized but fail to realize I went up there 3 times until they finally gave me a loaner car. Again, good reviews were requested. Someone please send me a survey so I can give them the PROPER Review. What a terrible, terrible place. Surveys, thats all they care about. Good reviews and surveys. Customers do NOT matter.
I always goes here for my oil change since I have coverage and they also inspect my car. Service was quick, employees were fine except they lie to you. They said there was small hole in one of my rear tires, probably punctured by a nail. Nothing big, but the guy that was supposed to help me lies, he said that it is unrepairable, and told me I have to purchase a brand new tire, which was almost $200 dollars. I told him no since I don’t trust dealers. After the oil change, I went to a tire shop near my house, and got it patched up for $12 dollars, and it only took 10mins. I told the guy about it being unrepairable and he laughed. You guys should be working with integrity and do not lies to your customers. That’s how you’ll lose them. And damn, I gotta spend $200 dollars to buy a brand new tire just for a small hole?? Why can’t you guys just be honest with your customers? and help them out. I’ll never trust this place and goes to a private mechanic instead.. would’ve been a 5 stars if y’all didn’t lie
I got a phone call from a person at Honda of Clear Lake, saying that I had been approved to purchase a used vehicle for $18,000, with no down payment and mention I had two other offers with larger amounts but would require a down payment $1000-1500, I told her I would go with the no down payment, I scheduled to come in the next day which was last Friday, as I am driving to the dealership, she call to make sure I was coming I told her I was on my way, I then asked her was the offer real or just to get me into the dealership, she replied oh no its for real. So when I got there in less than 10 minutes, I asked for her by name, she finally appeared after 30 minutes, shook my hand and said her assistant would be helping me. To make a long story shorter they offered me a car with very high mileage, which I said ok, the person says she has good news and bad news I got approved but they needed $1000 down, I explained I would have to wait until the next Friday payday to pay that, she then suggested I leave a post-dated check and go ahead to Finance and do all the paperwork, I did that signed everything even Special coverage for the high mileage vehicle. I was told the vehicle would be parked and waiting for my check to clear the following Friday, the vehicle was mine. I was given the information so I could purchase insurance before I picked the vehicle up, which I did. Well I called Honda of Clear Lake on this Monday about insurance, I was told they sold the car on Saturday, No one informed me, Im pretty sure they would wait until Friday after my check cleared to tell me, hoping I would agree to choose another vehicle, funny thing is they told me at the time of purchase this vehicle was the only one I could get financed. The person that informed me, said it was the owner of Honda of Clear Lake to sell the car after it had a Hold Deposit on it. This all seems like an unfair business practice. So today I called and ask for a Manager, he told me they dont put holds on vehicles, I explained I did not suggest the Hold the sales person told me that would be the only way to make sure the car would be mine. Im so hurt and still no vehicle, but I have always had good faith, hopefully I will get a vehicle soon. Just be careful dealing with these people.
This would be a 5 star review, however when I came to pick up my car, I was informed the clips that hold on the engine cover of my 2016 Pilot were missing. They wanted to charge me $4+ each, but would waive the labor. When I pointed out the car had never been serviced anywhere else, they agreed to cover the cost of the clips.I was told they had to order the clips, but they would be in the next day. We talked and agreed I should come by after lunch and they would take care of it. I showed up around 2:00, only to be informed they had only received one, and not four, clips. Oh, didnt I call you? Uh, no, you didnt. Not on my cell phone, and not on my home phone. So, a third trip was necessary to take care of a problem of their making. No apology. No sorry for the inconvenience. I expect better from this dealership.
I was warned about the management at Honda of Clear Lake and should have listened.I had a GREAT experience with my sales girl, Alicia H.However, be careful with finance and the management. They will find anyway to manipulate and take any dollar from you.We agreed to a Deal of $17,500 walkout on my new car and a price of $15,000 for my trade-in. When I looked over my loan amount, I realized that there was about a $500 difference from what we agreed on. Turns out they only sent a check to my credit union for $14,500 to pay off my loan. When I went to talk to David McDuffie (sales manager) about this, he explained that they paid off my loan for my trade-in and then took the extra money and used it to lower the price of the Honda I was buying to $17,500.This was not what we agreed to, we agreed that the price was $17,500 walkout and that they would send a $15,000 check to my credit union for my car. David was disrespectful to me throughout this whole process. He wouldn’t even let me speak without cutting me off and talking over me and raising his voice. So I finally told him to let me know whenever he’s ready to actually let me get a word in. Then he said “I’m done talking to you” and stormed off.I have worked in customer service for many years and currently work in sales so I know how difficult it can be. With that being said, I was shocked that a grown man (especially in management) would have such a short fuse and talk to a customer with such unprofessionalism after a very calm and simple conversation.Honda has such a good reputation, it is sad that they’re letting people like David ruin it for them.
Painless experience. My leased car needed a oil change and checkup to make sure it was running well at 4,500 miles. This service was done through the EXPRESS service window. The service was completed in a timely manner. Thanks for a good experience. Love your new place.
When I arrived at Honda Clear Lake, I had an appointment set with Craig Baker. We had discussed a few vehicles on the phone the day before, so he was nice enough to have them pulled up to the front for me. As I asked him questions, many questions, about my possible purchase, he replied with everything I needed to know. To say the least, he was extremely knowledgeable. Craig Baker was the first genuinely nice car salesman Ive met. Being in the car selling business before, Ive grown aware of how dealerships try to rip you off. This dealership was the polar opposite of that. Everyone Craig introduced me to was happy and friendly. I didnt have to go through the hassle of negotiating down the price and at the end of it all, I drove off the lot in my brand new 2015 Honda Civic. Im in Love with this vehicle and this dealership. I will always return to this dealership to buy my next Honda, regardless of where I live.
Pete is the man!!!! He was super super awesome and informative. He kept me in the loop with every little thing that was going on with my car and it’s repairs. Everything he told me that was going to be WAS! To the t. He was so friendly and never kept me waiting nor wondering. He went back and forth with my insurance agency til what needed to be done got done. He is my go to man from now on. This is place and it’s staff are awesome. Pete T you deserve a raise!!!! And I will always come here because of you. Thank you so so much!!!
My experience with Honda of Clear lake service side has been amazing! I always go with Carlos as my service advisor and He makes sure things get done right the first time. He is highly knowledgeable and he will tell you the truth about what is wrong with your car thats hard to find these days. His customer service is also impeccable. I highly recommend everyone go to him!!
I was referred by a website to get pre approval on a car. Elley or how ever her name is spelled calls me numbers of times assuring me I have been pre approved no problem and just come in and pick out a car. I show up and she isnt even there. I assume she had to leave due to an emergency so another person trying to help making me go through the entire process all over just to tell me I cant get any car with zero down as promised. This and almost every dealership could care less about me, you or anyone!!! If it doesnt make them happy then you are out of luck!!! Dont go here to buy.... trust me!!!!
Couldn’t have been a better new vehicle purchase experience. Built my vehicle at Honda.com and requested best price. There were no surprises and paid the price as quoted. I’ve tried to purchase from Clear Lake Honda several times in the past and could never get a competitive price, so always ended up in Houston. Very happy to be buying local and can now recommend Clear Lake Honda.
Mostly great experience. Great salesman although he was a bit pushy. Kept taking us to the next step, ready or not. However, he was super nice and very knowledgeable, not just about the model we were buying but about all models and why you would want this or that. Dealership was very nice and had a great coffee machine. Everyone was very helpful. The Dr. was very knowledgeable but seemed in a rush. If you knew what you wanted to know about your car he would give you the detailed answer, though! I feel like I could call any one of them up at any time and get an answer about anything. I do feel like I have joined a family.
Tony and Gerardo at Express Service are always super welcoming and nice. I appreciate the great customer service I have gotten over all from this dealership going back to my purchase here last year. Donny was my salesman and I felt super comfortable w him. He was very knowledgeable of the vehicle and all of the features it offered. I have nothing but praise for this Honda dealership.
Do not purchase a vehicle at this location. Poor customer service from the man in the finance department, the most indifferent employee I have had to deal with in a while. Due to his lack of customer service, this location has lost us as customers. Do not purchase any additional policies, for example, the dent and ding policy. The salesman will tell you whatever sounds good to sell the policy and once you go back to try and use it, you will be denied. I love my new car but do not recommend this location. Sadly, the service worker I met was really kind. Its unfortunate that the top tier employees show no concern for keeping customers. Beware.
I was very impressed with the new facility and the employees at Honda of Clear Lake. From the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out the door, the service was great.I really enjoyed coffee machine that had a wide variety of selections to choose from and the tables with electrical outlets to plug in your electronics. This really made my wait time go by really fast.Thomas, the service representative who helped me, did an outstanding job.
Had the pleasure of working with Brandon in sales, and he went out of his way to get the exact color my wife wanted. We spoke briefly with Angel in Finance to drop off a check and sign title paperwork. While we were at the dealership longer than I expected, it was only because of the personalized programming and make-ready that went into delivering the vehicle. This was _by far_ the best experience Ive had buying a car. Highly recommended.
Purchased my car here in 2016 and have been very happy with the quality of service. I also use Honda of Clear Lake for my cars maintenance, and have found the folks to be consistently responsive, polite, and thorough with their work. As a bonus, theres complimentary WiFi and coffee if you need to work while you wait.
I’ve had this dealer service my Honda for the past 2 years since moving to League City. They’ve always treated me to kind, respectful interactions and performed top quality work. Great dealership you can trust. Thank you Clay, for a truly memorable world-class customer sevice experience!
After a long and deflating car-buying search, the staff at Honda of Clear Lake were a breath of fresh air. They were patient, taking the time to listen to all of my needs, and did not push the decision in the slightest. From the sales manager, Mark-Allen, to his boss and above, they were courteous, respectful and worked hard to try and find my best option. While ultimately, the car purchase did not work out, I would wholeheartedly recommend this dealership. In the future, I will make the drive to check out their inventory first and hope to do business with them. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience here.
Great timely handling of repair on my 2015 Honda CRV by service manager Clay Lovell. He managed the repair job in estimated time upon arriving and arranged for loaner car for my use to get back to Clear Lake. Prompt in notifying me of completion of repair. Service job well done.
First, let me say my salesman Charles was great and I would highly recommend him. I am in sales myself and can read people very well... he was a very honest guy and very knowledgeable about Honda models.But... I will say this dealership is trying all kinds of things to get you in the door but once there they won’t honor the price. If you look on their website, DO NOT BELIEVE the pricing you see! I found the car I wanted, went in and started working price, but instantly the price went up $1,500 for “accessories” on the vehicle. Complete BS and at minimum, it’s shady and unprofessional. My family has done business with them for 20 years and it blows my mind that they would do this.Highly disappointed. Also, to the owners of this location... it’s 2018. Have a team that takes QUALITY pictures of the vehicles, from inside and out to put online. You’re severely lacking in that area. This could bring much more business into your location.
Kyle and Justin are AMAZING. They made buying a car so stress free and easy. Not to mention, they both have awesome personalities and are so nice. My husband and I went to Honda in Galveston first and were treated like garbage, so we decided to go here instead and Im so glad we did. Ive never had this good of an experience with buying a vehicle. Couldnt be more pleased with our experience!
On Saturday (3/30), my car battery died. I spoke to John (from service) over the phone and he mentioned that they have a battery. Before I drove 40 minutes to the dealership, I asked him “what is the total that I have to pay for the battery with all the fees?” John told me 160-170. I then headed straight over there. The moment I drove up, he said that the price was going to be $260. He pretty much lied to me so that he could steal my money. He made me drive 40 minutes only so that he could change the price, send me to auto zone, and auto zone sent me to advance auto parts, which is where I finally got my battery.Every time I asked John why did he lie about the price, he kept on walking away from me. He had this really big smile, while I was frustrated. He sent me to auto zone and auto zone didn’t even have the battery, that’s after he checked and told me that they did have the battery. On top of that, he lied again and told me that he would give my information to Wes to give me a call. But, when I asked him to repeat my info back to me to make sure it was accurate, he told me “oh I must have lost it!”He wasn’t going to give my info to Wes to begin with. I didn’t have enough gas to be driving around town and my battery was about to die again, but John told me that he couldn’t do anything for me.Mark from sales made sure that I left happy and had enough gas to get to auto zone. Thank you so much Mark.I have never left this place so unhappy. John should be held accountable and should not lie to his customers to only steal money, but hey, at least I didn’t fall for his lies this time and no, he was not going to steal my money.
A very reasonably-priced dealership with honest employees. I came in with a few ideas about what kind of car Id like, and the first car they showed me was just what I needed. Special shout out to Cheryl, who is a great listener, could answer any questions we had about cars, and has a great attitude. The finance guy was also very knowledgable and helpful.
I recommend this dealership 100% from sales to service! Ethical and service oriented team! Love this place!I purchased a certified used civic from Abdal there and then two days later I was in a four car pile up and my poor car was in the middle so it was totaled. I had to turn around and buy another car by the next weekend. The financial team Blane, one of the managers Rupert, and another salesman Antonio all worked together to find me a comparable car for the same price and deal with no hassles.Great human beings who work at this dealership!!Just this past week, my battery died on my car during my lunch break, Eddie in service sent someone right out to me and jumped my car. I traveled straight there and they swapped out my battery with a new one.
I scheduled an appointment through the app and it defaulted to the Express Center. So glad it did, because I only needed an oil change. The service agent was very nice and he updated me on the status of my car such as brakes, tire tread, tire pressure, etc. Speedy service, I was in and out within 20-30 minutes.
Love my new 2019 Honda HRV. The best Crossover SUV. I had the best customer service from Steve and Hector. They made my buying experience pleasant. This is my second car from this dealership. A great place to get your next Honda. Thanks for being the best.Your happy customer Pearl
We love Honda vehicles for their reliability and have been very pleased with the sales experience at Honda of Clear Lake. We recently purchased our second vehicle from Honda of Clear Lake, now having replaced both a 2000 Accord with over 180K miles and a 2003 Odyssey with over 191K miles. In our recent purchase, we called the dealership at 4pm to let them know we would come in later that evening. We spoke to the sales manager and he worked out the details ahead of time so that all we had to do when we arrived was test drive the vehicle and settle on the color. While at the dealership, the entire team provided top notch service - even when the waiting area was taken over by our young children. The experience we have had in our last two purchases and the integrity of the owner makes it easy to drive past 5 other dealerships on the way to Honda of Clear Lake to make the purchase.
A great experience! I had a nail in the sidewall of my tire that was not repairable, I shopped around prices on tires and Honda of Clear Lake had the best price around, not to mention the exceptional service we received. My service advisor was extremely helpful, the cashiers were friendly and welcoming, even the young man who brought my car to me went out of his way to help, AND they have Starbuck coffee! You cant beat great prices and friendly staff!
Came in for a oil change, tire rotation, and voluntary manufacturers recall. Service was a mix of good and bad. The service reps that did my write up was outstanding which is the ONLY reason why the review retains 4 stars. While my schedule rep was not promptly available, the rep I checked in with went ahead and got me started right away. The rep I was schedule with was very apologetic about my service taking longer than the quoted time and gave me the tire rotation for free so I ended up paying nothing since oil change was included in my car purchase. However, I guess you get what you pay for. The mechanic did a terrible job with the tire rotation and scratched and dented up 2 of my wheels which were the only two he touched since other 2 were good. Like really? How do you even miss the same socket three times with the wrench? I would have gladly waited the extra 4 minutes it would have taken to take care when loosening and fastening the lugs. All in all service reps gave A+ service, mechanics need improvement.
The employees are professional the new location is nicer than the other one. Its big and has a nice waiting area. My service person was Mr. John W. and he is always awesome takes the time to fully explain whats going on with your car. I dont mind waiting for my car to be serviced I just relax and watch TV or use WiFi services. So far so good.
I took my civic in for an oil change and tire rotation. They provided a list of services they performed and indicated my under hood air filter was black and needed to be replaced. While driving home, I turned on my windshield washer and it was empty. The form they provided indicated they checked it, and marked it okay. So this made me wonder what else was not as they said. I checked my air filter, it was clean even though the service person had said it was dirty. I checked my tire pressure, and it was not up to specifications. I called the service person, and he apologized for the problems. I then called the service manager twice and left messages and no one has returned my call in the last two days. So, be careful using these guys as the service you pay for may not be what you get.
This establishment has ZERO INTEGRITY!!! I came in today, test drove a van, filled out financing papers and was approved. While I waited in the lobby for a call back from my credit union, the sales manager decided to sell the vehicle to someone else without even notify me or my salesperson. I believe that businesses should operate with integrity in the way that they sell their cars and work with customers. I will never do business with them and I would not recommend anyone else to as well. After reading some of the other reviews this place seems pretty shady.
Their service department is all about money grabThey tried to charge me additional money (a money grab) to have my four rims repaired even though I had a warranty specifically for the rims that another dealership would fully honor at no additional cost to myself. So I get to spend half my day going back to pick up my car to then take it to another dealership. Go to Big Star Honda for more honorable techs and a much more pleasant experience.
I gave my car for scheduled service (4th one) previous services i did with same place. This time i found something wrong as i am listening some noise while driving. i notified them before giving my car. but they didnt fix it. again i hear the noise they ask me to drop car again and they didnt fix it. then same thing again dropped and picked but no solution. This time they scratched my car paint in their parking an inch long and wide and not taking responsibility to fix the scratch.i am really exhausted as my car is still under warranty period. i gave them for routine service and a big problem started from there and every time something popup. Now the noise is also getting worst. its really irritating.Really bad experience. people are trying to be nice but does not provide satisfactory service.
The buying experience was mediocre at best. Was there for hours and never even offered water. The major thing is that I bought a used vehicle that night and during the test drive everything was fine so I negotiated a deal. Got halfway home and it started making a loud squeal when at slower speeds. Something it didnt do during the test drive. I told the finance manager that I wanted a 3 year 36000 mile bumper-to-bumper extended warranty because I already had that lined up with my credit union and they were able to match the rate. He came back with paperwork which we began to sign and just before the end when we were passively discussing the warranty he said, oh this one is not bumper-to-bumper for everything... Just the powertrain. Then informs me that the dealership has a steak of ownership in the warranty company like its a good thing. Makes me wonder if they knew there was an issue and didnt want to be responsible for fixing it. I am going to take it in to the shop but if its something not under warranty then Ill never buy here again. And Ill tell everyone I know, review them on every website or forum I can find, and hopefully I can deter someone else from the same experience.
John Warner, my service advisor was really wonderful. He kept me up-to-date with what was wrong with my car and put me in a rental right away. Due to my work hours I couldn’t get in there when it was ready and they let me keep the rental until I could get back there. Honda always does a great job fixing cars and explaining what exactly is happened. The technician Juan even got in my car with me when I couldn’t explained exactly what the noise was I was hearing. And my car was fixed like new.Thank you guys, I am a very satisfied owner of Honda.Sandy Noster
The Service Representative was very personable and helpful with scheduling my vehicle and determining what maintenance it actually needed. The facility is amazing and comfortable. Felix called to confirm any extra maintenance that they thought might be needed. My vehicle was ready on time and is running great.
They do not even deserve any stars.I had to get my car fixed while I was traveling from Arizona, because my car was overheating. They said that my radiator was leaking, which I dont even think it was true now. So replaced my radiator which I had to pay good money for cause it is a Honda dealership and I trusted them. However, not even driving it for 4 hours it happened again, I was stuck in the highway in the hot steaming weather had to get my car towed to another shop. I had to spend 2days at a motel room because it was Saturday. I called the manager about this problem, the manager never picked up his phone or responded my voice mail. They didnt care how their service turned out to be a horrible disaster for me. I took it to another shop, my car actually had other problem, with the cylinder. So I have wasted so much money at this place for the wrong diagnosis and useless labor. Oh also for the towing my car, motel room, and wasting my time. Just dont go there if you are looking for a trustable auto repair shop.
I bought a used car here yesterday. David Spear is the best sales rep I have ever met. He was so kind, friendly and patient who gave me a lot of sincere advice and provided car options fitting with my preference and budget. I should rate him and this place A+ to be honest.
I went to Honda of Clear Lake to check on some cars that I had previously seen on the webpage. One of the main reasons I chose this location, is due to the mostly positive reviews here, on google reviews.I end up buying a beatiful 2020 civic, and was thoroughly assisted by Cheryl and Jesus. They were both really helpful, patient and professional, at all times.Thank you so much for your time and for working around my preferences. My only advice would come for the finance portion, and to be careful not to downtalk on your own brand when trying to upsell some products. It is contradictory to try to sell an insurance, implying that Honda may not build quality products as they used to, 10 years ago.
My experience at Honda of Clear Lake was very bad. In my opinion the service department of Honda of Clear Lake needs a complete overhaul, because they work absolutely inefficient. I have never seen this before at John Eagle Honda, on contrary: there an appointment was made: car would be taken into service after 15 minutes you would get an update on the progress and you could discuss further steps to be taken, a shuttle or loaner car were always offered. But here ate Honda of Clear Lake I have now had a second bad experience. After setting up an appointment I arrived on time at 10:45 am. The issue was a splash board under the front of the car that was loose and damaged. I was politely greeted and told to wait. After over one and a half hours of wait without getting any update I asked how much longer the wait would be. The lady went to check and told me the car was about to be checked When I asked about the appointment time i had she dd not have a clear answer on how that is managed. After another half hour I asked about the result: the splash pad would only be under warranty if it would be just loose: well if it gets loose it gets damaged, so that warranty policy is good for nothing. Besides a replacement would be a whopping $ 400.00!! I took the car home, and plan on never go back there. I will rather drive an hour to John Eagle Honda for further service.
I recently took my CR-V into this dealership for the first time because it was making a beeping noise. The problem was resolved very quickly (next day). But my problem occurred when I picked up my vehicle. I dropped it off with 80 miles of gas range left. When I picked it up, it only had 22 miles of gas range left, barely anything to get to the nearest gas station. Mind you I dropped it off when they closed so there was no time for them to look at it that night and I was called at 8:30 the next morning saying the issue was corrected. I’m not sure how much my car was driven or where, but it looked like it was used to go mudding in the forest. Dirt was caked all up the doors on both sides and the running boards couldn’t be seen anymore. I don’t expect my car to be detailed or anything when I drop it off for service but I expect it to be generally how I dropped it off, not with mud clods all over it. I mentioned it to the service advisor when I was handed the keys and he responded with “happy new year” and walked away. I was appalled and will never be returning to this dealership.
I was there on Saturday 05/26/2018 the salesperson that helped us was amazing ( Arjang ) the finance manager however was a complete ass. We told him that we would only finance through our credit union from the beginning, he gave us a deal on the car and when we were about to sign he said we could only have the deal if we financed through Honda. Basically he was trying to bully us into financing with them, we got up and left. He wasnt giving us the damn car we were buying it, it shouldnt matter one way or another how were going to pay for it. I will not recommend this dealership to friends and family.
Carlos was great! I was missing the plastic cover that covers the bottom of my car (Honda Fit) since it had fallen off several times. I asked him if he thought I needed it the cover and he said not really and that customers always dont have it. I told Carlos I was happy he was honest with me because at the old Honda Clear Lake location, the gentleman, Tony, with the Express Service department, said it was dangerous for my car not to have a cover and that it would be $300 to buy a new one. Glad Honda Clear Lake has honest folks working for them :-)

2022-06-11Terrible service department. It is not their first poor and neglected service however, I have decided to share my frustration with others as this may help them to save their time, money and extensive damage to their cars.On 06/10/2022 I dropped my car for first major service maintenance including CVT transmission fluid change. I got the car after 3 hours and back home. I opened the hood and found the transmission fluid plug right next to the latch! Called the service department and service advisor, and they simply said ohh, that should not be there! Plug it back if you can or bring it back tomorrow or Monday, we will top up the fluid and will plug it back for you!!!Seriously? Is this how it works? What about damages this could have done to the transmission? (the damage may have done already) Who is going to be responsible now?I am expecting a call and explanation from their manager not only on this incident but also on the other issue back in April that they keep my car for 5 days and returned it without even a simple diagnosis! For sake of yourself, do not trust this service location and if you have to get your car serviced here, please stay on top of what they do on your car as they may adversely damage your vehicle.

2022-04-03On 2/28/22 I brought my Honda pilot 2019 to Clear Lake location for updating software. Honda issued extend warranty for known issue: All four warning lights were on (power Stability, Vehicle stability, trailer stability and engine light). Honda customer care assure me that every dealership aware of situation and will fix (update) with no problem. Clear lake advisor told me that Honda will pay for it, but they still need to run check. I said: do what you have to do, but if you update software at first, then there will be no needs to run check. I am not sure if they send final bill to Honda care anyway, but they make me to pay for checking lights on. They stated: code was different. I understand that get money from Honda care is a long process. Much easier get it from customer, threatening that they will not release the car. I will not stop here. I will submit case to Honda Care. By the way, I have sent email to Eddie Guillory asking to resolve situation. No one responded back. Therefore: do not be fooled by their statement: “If you do not receive EXCEPTIONAL service, contact service manager”. They will ignore you

2022-03-19I recently purchased a car from this dealership with Blaine. I do not know where to start he made the buying process so very easy for me. He was very personable and kind not pushy looking for a sale. He’s genuine and wanted me to make the best choice for myself. If your looking for a car and good business practices check him out! I love my new ride and didn’t feel forced and persuaded to buy. Thanks Blaine.

2022-06-04Terrible Customer service. My service advisor was a nice person, however the entire process of taking your car in for maintenance has gone down hill since they took away the ability to make appointments, and they took away the express service area. No one greets me at all, or helps me when I first arrive. Not one person said hello or good morning. This is not the first time Ive had this problem here. I brought my concerns to the manager at my last visit and I can see nothing has changed. To wait for 3+ hours for an oil change is ridiculous.

2022-05-06Twice now, Ive had an incredibly bad experience with the service department at Honda of Clear Lake. Both times I scheduled online, but apparently the online scheduling is just for show. The first time, I requested a ride to work, but when I dropped our van off, the service advisors were not even aware that I needed a ride and told me that the driver was out and they had no idea when hed be back. After waiting 30 minutes, I finally had to get a Lyft. The second time, I scheduled a service online and requested a rental car as well as a call back. No one called back. I finally called them the day before the appointment and was told that they couldnt tell me if a rental car was available until I actually arrived even though Id requested it over a week in advance. The advisor also told me that even though Id scheduled the service, they werent sure when theyd be able to get me in. But he also told me to get in at 7:30 when they opened and theyd be able to get me in between 30 and 90 minutes.Well, when I showed up this morning, the same service advisor told me that it would be at least 2.5 hours and that Fridays were the busiest day. Gee, thanks!Worst process for servicing a car or planning Ive ever seen. Not sure how people who work/have kids/have a life are supposed to get service done here unless you have a half day to waste sitting around.Disappointing customer service.

2022-05-28I made an appointment for today at 5:30 for a tire rotation. I mentioned in the comments when I scheduled the appointment that I also needed an oil change. I received both email and text reminders for the service appointment. My husband drove 40 minutes to get to the appointment just to be turned away. They refused to service the vehicle unless we left it there overnight and picked it up the next day. When scheduling the appointment, I indicated that we would be waiting for the vehicle. If they dont plan on honoring their appointments, they shouldnt bother scheduling them. Gas is too expensive to waste. This was our first time going to this dealership for service and we wont be returning.

2022-04-14Went in on 4/14. I currently have a Honda Civic I recently purchased 2 years ago from Big Star Honda. I had my son with me and just wanted to look at new cars with him. I was told I needed to be put on a waitlist to see the new cars. I was fine with that but no one wanted to help sign me up for it and I could tell they were not interested in helping me. Maybe because I had my 16 month old but I have been thinking about getting a bigger car for a while now but this experience had made me think I should get a bigger car with a different company. Just the attitudes were so rude and I had never felt unwelcome. They didnt even try to help me with the door on my way out (had a stroller so had a hard time with the big doors and stroller). An actual customer ran to help me while multiple people from the dealership sat and watched.

2022-03-06So much better than Big Star Honda.I needed quite a bit of stuff done to fix and update my car but didnt have money for everything. The service advisor was really awesome at letting me know what could wait and what needed to be done as fast as possible and staying within my budget.

2022-06-29Want to buy a used civic or accord today at a nearby dealer. Unfortunately, they don’t put prices on the window stickers. Guess this is so they can pick and choose price based on the person looking. There were probably 100 cars on the lot and maybe 2 had prices. On the bright side, there are a ton of other dealers in the Houston area!
