Very friendly staff when going in. They answered questions, got paperwork all done and explained the adoption process very well. We left with a new fury friend in under 45min. I am grateful for all the volunteers that stay, help, walk, clean, feed and take care of all the animals. Place is tiny...so people get out and adopt!
The two girls there were very helpful, nice, and knowledgeable! They were patient with us while we looked for a dog to adopt. The were happy to prepare a meet and greet for us and help us say hi to our future adoption, Chloe. Check out was quick and easy. Definitely check this place out, some good dogs there that need homes!!! Be careful tho, if you arent looking for it, youll pass right by.Thanks guys!!!
I had such a great experience when I went here. I went with a friend who adopted a dog and she had a great time as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You can tell that they put a lot of time and care into making sure all of the kennels are clean. The dogs don’t look sad or under fed. They also had guinea pigs and rabbits which I thought was cool. When I move I’ll definitely be going back to adopt or maybe foster a dog.
I had been looking for a new pet. Have made the rounds to all the shelters and found my new pet. She is adorable and making herself right at home. She came healthy with all her shots and everything to start her new life with me. The people who helped me were all wonderful ❤️.
We adopted a dog with kennel cough 2 days ago. The staff probably didn’t know but we are coming back up there today and I have full faith they will give us medicine to treat her. We came in 30 minutes before they closed to adopt her and the staff was really patient and quick to do the adoption. Would definitely come back great place and people
Very nice staff, went to this location at the start of the Christmas holiday season. My husband and I wanted to give contributions on behalf of others as Christmas presents. I was greeted by friendly staff. They had a recent adoption campaign that was a great success. Upon entering I noticed a clean, and a true caring of their furry residents.
Our selection is not at all compatible with our living situation or the other pet ....what is return or another choice policy. Please help. Will we get any sort of refund...according to humane society policies I read it says we will get a full refund but over the phone we were told different...please explain.we have an appt but people should be aware.
They seem very friendly at first, took my animal to the vet to find out that my animal is very sick and is not expected to live. The vet said there is no way they didnt know about it. Although, it was not showing in the medical records they gave me. So now Im out of the adoption fee and a dog. Do not get your pets from here.
We found our dog here. Theres nothing fancy about this place, just pets that need homes and staff that is committed to make it happen, given the available resources they have. It is hard to criticize, I just wish they had a more pleasant outdoor space, as I believe that it could help families bond better with the animals.
I talked to one of the staff members that was very rude. I’ve called for two days straight and I can hear someone picking up the phone and hanging it up. I drove an hour to hopefully look at a dog, they wouldn’t let me because I didn’t call for an appointment but I tried about 30 times. The girl cut me off multiple times when I was talking and was very unprofessional, with holes in her shirt all the way down to her cleavage.
The facility was very clean and the cats and kittens appeared to be well taken care of. The staff was also very friendly. A couple words of warning. I didnt find out until later that my new kitten had not been tested for FIV/FELV. This is a concern because I have a healthy cat at home and dont want to take any chance of bringing a sick animal into my home. They say its because my kitten is too young to get an accurate test. BUT, they should at least be up front and make sure you are aware of this before you adopt. Also, the adoption fee doesnt cover vaccines. I think it used to. But now the only thing they cover is the spay/neuter, which you dont do at your own vet anymore, you have to take the animal to the humane society to do that.
Adopted a cat from them. The animal must have been abused. Tried to brush the cat. The animal tore into me. Called them to see if I could exchange it for another cat. The girl on the phone said yes. Brought the cat back in my pet carrier. They took it into the back. Told me they dont do exchanges or refunds. I told her that I had called and the girl said I could i the cat. They told me they were gonna keep the cat and not give me a refund. I went into the back and got my cat. They tried to stop me from exiting out the door but couldnt. I placed the cat into the passenger side of my truck. Both of these crazy women craved a hold of my right arm. Got the cat inside my truck and shut the door. They called the police. I sat there and waited on them. Police came. The police said that I wasnt going to get the cat back but the Wagging Tails Humsne Society was going to mail me a full refund. I called the humane society before I went there to see if I could exchange the cat for another. They lied to me. Why I dont know. I would have never went back there if I had known they wouldnt exchange the animal. The two women that worked there assulted me. If I do get a refund in the mail it will surprise me. Do yourself a favor people find a repeatable humane society to adopt an anilmal from. One that will let you exchange the animal if it doesnt work out. I cant believe that they wouldnt let me exchange the cat. I cant believe they assaulted me and the Benbrook Police Dept. Let them get away with it. Find another place to adopt a pet and make sure that you can exchange it if it doesnt work out in your home

2022-03-25I came to adopt a guinea pig. First Ill address my main concern. There were 2 cages of guinea pigs that I was aware of. The cages were clean, but they only had pellets. No hay or water. Maybe they were cleaning the cages and hadnt gotten that far. If not, please remember guinea pigs MUST have hay available at all times! A big bowl of pellets and nothing else isnt ideal.Aside from that, the place seems pretty small but I really like how theyre using little rooms for dogs instead of normal kennels. The dogs have more space than a kennel and its not so gloomy when you see it. The adoption process was quick and a lot better than the Ft Worth location. I actually got an email w/ a receipt and got some history on the pig this time.

2022-06-28The staff here is amazing, we find animals semi-regularly as we live off a main road, and we always choose this business to see if the animals are chipped. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful with the resources at their disposal and always go out of their way to make sure that the best is done for each individual pet they come in contact with. Thank you for the special attention every time we visit, and thank you for the service you guys provide the community!

2022-07-28Facility was really clean and the staff was very friendly. Sadly we had to return the puppy we adopted in less than a week do to her being extremely aggressive. She was so sweet at the shelter with us and our daughter and great when we first brought her home, but behavior changed after 3 days of having her, and everyday it escalated. In less than a week it got to the point where she bit our daughter and attacked everyone in our house, plus guests, and our other dogs. The shelter staff were great very understanding about the whole situation. They sadly don’t give refunds either and the adoption fee is crazy expensive. It would have been nice to have been given even a partial refund especially since we didn’t even have her a week.I also suggest you make sure you ask lots of questions about medical history as well. We received the history on the puppy we adopted several days later and found out she had actually been sick. That was a red flag for us that we wish we would have known, because we have already been through this once before with a family members dog that was of the same breed. The dog had been sick as a puppy, and it caused them to be severely aggressive to the point of having to have them put down years later as the aggression progressed. The puppy we adopted had started showing the same warning signs as that dog did and we just could not have that around a toddler and a baby on the way.I also wish we would have asked beforehand if the animal was good with feedings and other animals. We found out that this puppy was extremely aggressive with food and towards other dogs, but the shelter still has them listed has friendly with other animals. So just ask lots of questions, bring your pets and children to the meet the any dog ahead of time.

2022-06-01On May 24th, my birthday, we welcomed a new member to our little family. Waggin Tails introduced us to the sweetest little baby boy named Kylo. He is so loving and so easy to love, and best of all they made the process super easy to welcome him into our home. They included his past medical records, his microchip and rabies tags, his first bag of food: and since they are partnered with the closest petco there are coupons included to make sure we could purchase everything he needed in order to make his new home, well, home.

2022-07-18All of the animals look so loveable on the website. But I am curious to know if I need to make an appointment just to see them without adopting just yet. Can anyone confirm?

2022-07-29This is a small friendly humane society where you can come and visit The fur babies there and you can also by appointment only bring your fur baby there to see if yours and the ones living there currently mesh well before adopting.
