Hunters Crossing in other cities:
Not enough parking spaces provided. Vehicles stolen from resident parking. Gate is regularly out of order. Obnoxious landscapers.. Unless you just LOVE the sound of leaf blowers for hours on end. Dumpsters are always full and smell bad.Developers should have to pay out of their pockets to add additional parking areas and additional dumpsters to fit the resident capacity appropriately. Residents should not be paying for developer/owners greediness.
Someone moving from Walnut Ridge in Bastrop to Hunter’s Crossing this place is wonderful. With personal experience the staff and maintenance is always nice, respectful, and with any complaints that I may they act on them immediately. The gates do tend to stop working I’ve noticed it’s always a rainy or cold day since I’ve been here. Yes, the dumpsters are always full but the trash is picked up daily. My biggest problem which seems to be a problem with many apartment complex’s is parking. We have parking stickers but people still park without their stickers and visitors still park where they shouldn’t. I also large families with multiple vehicles. I honestly feel that there should be a limit to how many vehicles can park per household or something. Maybe if you have more then two, you should have to buy a covered parking or garage here. It’s sad that I have to pay rent and can’t even get a spot to park most of the time. At one point I had to park at the leasing office and walk home.
I lived here for over a year. We had a discount for teachers when i signed, when i renewed my lease they took that away. I broke my lease for a new job. I paid Decembers rent and fees early, but paid about 300 dollars extra because that’s what was listed as what was left that I owed them. I have called them several times to discuss this mistake, and to get my money back and I’ve received no money or a phone call with an explanation back.
This apartment complex may appear new and convenient, but it is anything but. The gates never work In the early morning hours, the management is not attentive after theyve gotten u to sign everything they require to lock you into a lease, they ignore your emails and will stop responding if you complain to much, service request for repairs within the apartment have gone ignored for as long as almost 5 days then sassy emails are generated after youve complained, they make up new rules monthly and just post on your door, now they make u check in online for their new updates, the air vent in my bathroom makes creepy noises for hours in the morning till the afternoon and nothing has been done for months, the grills at the pool never have propane, seems they let anyone move in here and the residents are mostly rude and old. The front office never opens at its posted hours and when u complain about that they make excuses and shut the door in your face, the manager gave us the wrong mailbox keys to begin with, the wrong gate codes as well. The landscape crew that comes every tuesday is loud and obnoxious and drags out their time doing work for as long as they can...they start at 7 am and try to hang out for hours untill the afternoon sun becomes to much obviously to just gain more hours and bigger pay. There is not much landscape by my apartment building and yet they will use a leaf blower by my bedroom window for hours....like what are you even doing? So thats my day off and Im up anyways and when u ask them to move on they pretend not to speak english when u can hear them swapping stories in english outside my window...the dumpsters are always overflowing the residents here cant seem to put their trash away properly or just dont care. They recently decided parking was an issue I guess enough people complained. When in reality for residents to parking spaces ratio was obviously not considered when the property was built now they say we must have stickers or will be towed but they want ridiculous amounts of information including your insurance info to obtain a sticker even tho there is nothing in our contract about parking stickers now we have to worry about that. There are all these hidden fees in the rent like 5 dollars a month for pest control and yet we find black crickets and beetles in the house every month. There is so much more but I feel Ive made mynpoint. We cant wait to get the hell out of this complex and put it behind us. For the amount of money my husband and I pay to have our family live here it is deff not worth it and is the most weve ever paid to live somewhere! Very dissapointed wish we could afford to break lease before the birth of our second child.
Gates work selectively, dumpsters are always full, maintenance walks in whenever they feel like without notice (my kids were in the bath) parking is impossible to find.Recently started being charged an additional 27$ a month for utilizing wrong sewer??Avoid avoid avoid.
There is no parking for anyone here. There is a truck that has a for sale sign and hasnt moved in who knows how long and hasnt gotten towed, but me, a person who lives here and has forgotten to put on my parking sticker just tried to get towed and had to pay $125 because I caught him before he loaded it onto his tow truck. For the person that calls in every night and tries to get people towed, I will try to find you and ask for my money back! As far as trash and recycling, dont even get me started. They didnt make enough parking spaces and want people to pay EVEN more for covered parking when they shouldve planned for more parking spaces because the amount of people that live here. The pest control is a joke. Spiders that I have named that live under my cabinets are doing nicely. The cooking vent doesnt do its job and the smoke detector goes off nearly every time because its not routed outside. The building material for the amount of money I pay in rent is apauling. THE WATER is undrinkable and needs to be filtered because it tastes like PVC glue and flux that they used for plumbing and still hasnt changed. Lets just say Im getting out of here ASAP, aka: when my lease is up because Im trapped, and moving to a house that is the same amount and I do t have to worry about people trying to get my car towed or being poisoned by the water and the amount of dust that the ac doesnt filter. If I could rate it -2 stars I would.
Gates never work. Cant get ahold of anyone for help. Tried to have a pool day and grill on sunday and another resident would let me on to talk to a manager at the front bc all the propane tanks have been removed from the public grills for us to cook dinner and noone would come out to assist me even after making a call to the office and talking to someone on the phone

2022-06-29Ok so the first thing anybody looking to move into these apartments should know, is that HUNTERS CROSSING IS TOTALLY IN BED WITH THE PERSON WHO OWNS BOTH FREEDOM TOWING AND HHH TOWING IN BASTROP. Yes. You read that right. Conflict of interest? Absolutely! Will they tell you that when you sign your lease? Absolutely not! So if you dont like having your car stolen out of the parking lot by your own land lord, don’t move to Hunter’s Crossing because it will happen sooner or later. They are (apparently) one of the largest property management companies in the state of Texas, and definitely act like it. They could are less about any one of their residents. Besides that, there are constantly Freedom Towing wreckers parked in resident’s reserved spots inside the gated parking lot with no parking sticker in their windshield visible whatsoever. The place is basically a truck stop at this point! Hunter’s Crossing is also NOT a gated community, as they would lead you to believe. Both entrance and exit gates break almost daily and remain open 24/7 for anybody to drive into and steal the wheels off your car! And don’t even try to go to the office during their posted office hours to get a parking permit or anything else because 90% of the time the door will be locked with nobody inside even with the Open sign in the window. I have lived in quite a few apartment complexes over the years, and Hunter’s Crossing is BY FAR the shadiest, and most poorly managed complex I have ever called home. Save yourself the hassle and go move into the apartments accross the street from Buc-ees. You will thank me later. And for the record, the majority of the 5 star reviews on google for Hunters Crossing are obviously fake and most likely staged by the owners themselves. Note, it is clear in the signed lease there is a rule that there is absolutely no parking in the Hunter’s Crossing lot of commercial vehicles larger than 1 ton. Jeremy Bristol reached out to me a month ago and has yet to send me my check in the mail for the towing and impound fee.

2021-08-31Pleasant place to live. The dog park is nice and the unit is pretty quiet. Brenda is great to work with and always friendly. The pool is large and maintained well. The service staff is courteous and prompt with repairs. Rent gets a little pricey with the add-on mandatory valet trash and internet/cable, but average for the going rate in the area.

2021-08-24Brenda has been amazing. This is my first time getting an apartment (other then a dorm). I am moving down from Colorado so not choosing an apartment in person can be a bit daunting. But Brenda has been helping me with anything I need. Including securing a unit for this fall. Thank you for all your help ! Can’t wait to move in

2021-09-14I enjoy living at Hunter’s crossing. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The complex is clean, quiet and taken care of. They often have little get-together for residents (not as often now due to COVID), but that’s understandable. The dog park is pretty nice, especially with the new updates, and the location is pretty convenient and close to major grocery and retail stores.

2021-09-07Spent my best time so far in US for last 12 months. Brenda has been amazing with full life in nature. She has tried to solve each problem with loads of smile and equal importance. Very nice community. Debbie and Courtney are also working hard and they are very generous. I wish you people all the best in life.

2021-08-19When I went to inquire about apartments two weeks ago I noticed the grass was about knee-high maybe a little bit less garbage strewn everywhere and dumpsters overflowing around the size mattresses and furniture crammed in besides the dumpsters. I thought no big deal this is how the rest of Bastrop looks maybe they just haven’t had a chance to get here yet. I was hesitant because I did see some balconies that were unwelcoming and hoarder like also. I decided to go back today and see what look like two weeks later much cleaner in all areas I listed above. I took the application in and realized I forgot a piece of information at home so the manager decided to go over it with me. Her first sentence to me was @First off I see the same hand writing for both applications. Each applicant needs to fill out their own application. I get it but both me and my husband both signed it. I filled out my husband‘s information he signed it I filled mine out I signed it his IDs my IDs both there with me. You’re going to run our background check so why does it matter if I filled out his application you’re going to see everything anyways. She didn’t tell me it’s low income apartments. That’s what I realized oh the slow maintenance and the nitpicking application process you can keep it. I’ve been a great tenant for eight years thanks to Covid I’m looking for a place again. People acting too funny I guess they just don’t want my money my money is just as good as anybody else’s. Sad thing is I really could use an apartment but I don’t want to nitpicking manager

2021-09-14Hunters Crossing has been a great place to live while I adapt to a new city, state and job. This is the newest place to live in Bastrop. Brenda and her team have been responsive and it’s been a great experience so far. Thank you HC Team!
