Our dog had tumor removal stitches open after normal business hours on a weekend. He needed his wound cleaned out and repaired. The overnight surgeon at this emergency vet did an excellent job with a mess, and he healed well. They explained the needed after-care carefully. His next after hours misadventure, they treated him carefully. Hes still getting over that one. The first time we went, place was busy, front desk a bit stressed but professional. Second time, we went, things were not so busy. They were still professional. Perhaps the notes they put in each animals file for each visit could be a bit more extensive. That would have helped them with the second visit. (Since I wasnt thinking and hadnt brought the necessary information. He had got hold of medicine he shouldnt have somehow.)Still got a treatment plan put together.
My senior dog had major dental surgery with Dr. Bloom and the procedure and after-care has been excellent. First of all, Dr. Bloom takes the time to discuss the surgery and explain everything during the consult. She is an experienced dental vet and surgeon and my pup has done splendidly since the procedure eight months ago.The follow up care has been great because Dr. Bloom has re-checked my dogs mouth every few months to make sure problems dont return. I highly recommend Dr. Bloom if your pet needs dental work done.
I see most of the bad reviews are about pricing. Owning a pet is a big responsibility and it can be expensive. I have insurance for my dog and it is a life saver. Always research on pet costs before buying or adopting a pet. I have been there twice, including an emergency visit, and pricing has always been reviewed before any treatment. It’s great that this place is open 24/7 in case your regular vet cannot help after hours. Dr Bloom was great at reassuring me my dog would be okay before doing her dental cleaning and extraction. My dog is doing great and they even called the day after the surgery to make sure she was doing well.
I really liked the staff at I-20! Having brought home 2 new puppies recently, we had 2 occasions to get emergency treatment there. One puppy had Parvovirus and needed hospitalization. Dr. Zimmerman nursed my Sadie expertly back to life and she’s now home doing wonderful! The second, Ranger has skin sensitivity and a rash that was misdiagnosed by my previous Vet. Dr Welch properly tested and verified it was NOT scabies and instead prescribed medicine for a skin sensitivity. She was outstanding and listened to my input as I would expect while explaining everything to me. This facility does not get enough credit for what they provide considering they operate 24/7. They are always the “Go-To” vet clinic after hours or on weekends when other clinics don’t operate. Dr Welch is now my personal Vet, she has a wonderful caring demeanor and her tech, Mark is a superstar! Thank you I-20, you all saved my Sadie and gave Ranger the correct treatment to alleviate his terrible rash!
It was like any other normal given Sunday when you think that your deeply loved puppy might be seriously ill and your regular family vet is closed. This medical center for pets is open 24/7 and they accept both appointments and walk-ins.Seeing my concern, the young lady at the desk immediately took our pup back to the doctors for a quick basic field evaluation. That way they can determine the true depth of the situation. When our time came, my pup and I met Dr. Lindsay Robinson. As busy as she just had to be, she focused on us as if we were the only event in town. Lindsay made a plan of action and made sure that I was comfortable and approved the plan. She sent me home while they did all that was required.I returned to a puppy well on the way to winning a recovery. I was given meds and complete instructions as to how to do administer them. I would not hesitate to use Dr. Robinson again! A full recovery is expected.
Wait time!!! over 6 1/2 hours and still not done. I use to come here back in 2017-2018…I had no idea how long the wait would be or how bad the staff declined! 2 hours in waiting room and over 4 hours in patient room. A front desk staffer came around and brought dogs water- which was really nice. The Vet was dismissive and seemed not very confident in her abilities. I know my dog has an infection and needs antibiotics, otherwise I would have left hours ago (Sunday night, so limited options). It feels like one Vet and one Vet tech for the entire hospital with 6 waiting rooms and a full lobby. I agree with earlier comments that there should be an option to join a wait list remotely or stay in your comfy car instead the lobby or waiting rooms.Way too expensive!!! This will be my last time!!! Just like the other comments- don’t bring your animals here. The wait time, pricing and quality of care is not worth it!!!
7 yrs ago my then 7 yr old Black and Tan male was in distress and I did not know what was going on. At 11:30 pm, I looked in the yellow pages to find a 24 hours Emergency Vet and I-20 was the closest (10 minutes away). By the time I got there my baby was in a coma. Long story short, he had a bladder stone stuck in his urethra. The vet and technicians worked on him tirelessly. At 3:30 am they told us to go home and they would call us as soon as they got him stable. They called me at 7:00 am the next morning advising that he was finally stable enough to take him into surgery. He recovered remarkably and still runs around like he is a pup. I believe he would not have survived if I had taken him anywhere else.
This is the best place to bring your fur babies. My 12 yr old Chihuahua mix had major dental surgery and the staff was wonderful, they made me feel comfortable and confident during his procedure. Dr. Bloom and staff are very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for taking care of my baby. 5 Stars!
We took our dog in late last night because he was extremely ill and dehydrated. The man at the front counter got us in fast and was very patient with our boy when getting his weight. Both the doctor and nurse that saw us last night were very friendly and informative throughout the entire visit. They ended up doing a full panel of blood work, X-rays, fluids, an injection, and sent us home with medicine all for under $1000. So far this morning there has been a noticeable difference and we’re beyond thankful for their help. I think a lot of these bad reviews forget that every emergency clinic has a longer wait time and are more expensive due to the nature of their practice. We have also been here for our other dog (who was a foster fail) and I would highly recommend this place and have been very pleased with the staff.
I was really hesitant to bring my cat in based on reviews but I really needed to get in and this was the only place available to see my baby. This clinic probably gets a bad rep bc it’s an emergency clinic and it’s costs are pretty high but I can say that they have a really good staff that cares about your pets. As pet owners we are vulnerable and it is very expensive to treat our pets (mine are my children). We want empathy and most us are struggling due to the hardships of the pandemic, including myself. Im not sure about the regular on-site vets but I can genuinely say that Dr. Knape was an absolute angel and was very honest with me. My cat is still not in the clear but she kept it very real with me and respected my budget. The young man, with the “blessed” tattoo was an absolute angel and you could genuinely tell he really loves animals and truly loves his job. They both had great bed side manner. Even though I live in Downtown Fort Worth I will absolutely make the drive again for any of my pets. My only complaint was a young lady (possibly a front desk or vet tech) who made the comment “I feel like it’s going to be a long day” in an annoyed tone, which to me is very insensitive, especially since most of the pets who came in are sick but other than that I genuinely say I am very happy with my experience. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good 24/7 veterinary service.
My pup was having an fairly severe allergic reaction and due to other clinics and ERs being super busy and at capacity we had been turned away from any clinic we called, including our closest ER. I’m so thankful to Dr. Welch and all of the staff at I-20 for taking such good care of our boy. I felt like the cost was super reasonable for the treatment plan as well, especially being an emergency on a weekend. Thank you for all y’all do to help sick babes and their families. We are so grateful! 💖🐾
Took my 4-year old Schnoodle to see Dr. Bloom for dental, she has been bleeding from her mouth at night and no obvious reasons. Dr. Bloom treated my high anxiety girl with empathy, love and tenderness. Dr. Blooms Medical Assistant Alyssa was so gentle, reassuring, loving and really good with the handoff of a high anxiety pup. This takes patience and willingness to understand these types of pup personalities. I will never see any other Dentist for my girl. We Love Dr. Bloom and Alyssa, Thanks!
They tried to KILL my dog for just 350 dollars. Lying to me about internal bleeding without showing me proof AT ALLSo I made a tough decision and back brought home after seeking help from this supposed EMERGENCY ANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER pass away comfortably around his family. Within the next two days of love and care.. My dog is literally playing again and making love and puppies again! I WILL not let this go and will be making filings very soon. NO OPTION TO HELP JUST TO KILL.
We took our 9 week old puppy in around 7-8pm. He had a rash and a small bite under his belly. The staff was very thorough, great customer service, very clean hospital. The vet and the nurse staff that were working the night shift were amazing with Oliver. They explained what was going on with Oliver and even recommended some great meds for his rash. We were in and out in under 2 hours. He loved the staff and had no issues with letting them treat him. I will for sure take my little pupper back to that location. Nothing beats great service and fantastic customer service, keep up the great work guys.
After a long 12 hour shift, I figured I’d head home, relax and have a few drinks before bed. I walk inside to find my little 13 year old dog acting oddly and after contacting my vet, I was recommended to come here.AND NOW I KNOW WHY.I figured I was going to just take him there to drop a million dollars (that I don’t have) just for them to tell me he had an upset belly and quickly get over it after looking at those cute little puppy eyes because we all know he’s worth it. (Dogs, right?) … turns out my poor sweet boy wasn’t going to pull through.I lost my baby tonight.I am not an emotional person at all and I can be quite aloof at times. My own best friend has never seen me cry. Yet, here I am literally sobbing in front of these complete strangers.I have never felt more comforted being openly sad in my entire life. They were quick, informative and very matter-of-fact. I love that they didn’t beat around the bush just to get more money from me.They walked me through the process and helped me say goodbye to my first dog with such efficiency and care. Even when paying, they priced me close to $1000, but since I wasn’t expecting more than a few hundred, I only brought 1 credit card and a few extra twenties in cash. What do they do? Take what I could give and called it a day even when I offered to run home to get more money or have them bill me, they denied my offers. Whether it was because I was acting like a hot mess or because they are just that great, who knows 🤷🏽♀️The best part was the cute little fact that they give out real chocolate treats to feed your dog before starting the process. I’ll never forget that cute little face he made when he tried the best thing he’s ever tasted. When I say that this medical staff went above and beyond, I mean that Im contemplating putting a few of them in my will 😂I can’t thank you guys enough for helping my perfect angel Rest In Peace after a long and happy life.
THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE!! This is the second time Ive used them and never again! My dog is currently there after having surgery because the dr saw an object shed eaten on the xray and recommended they do surgery last night. Over $4000 later there was nothing in her stomach but gas!!!! My dog I took there a few months ago was throwing up and having trouble breathing and they said she had pneumonia and sent her home with meds. She died the next morning. Incompetent doctors is putting it nicely. Im waiting to hear from this dr, DO NOT use this place!!
Took my cat in because she was limping badly and not eating. Her vet recommended this place, as their x-ray machine was down. Waited in the lobby for 30 mins, then escorted to an exam room. While in the exam room, my cat started oozing pus and blood from a wound on her leg. I knocked on the door to let them know and they just stuck their head in and asked if she was an indoor or outdoor cat. Never saw them again. After an hour, I called another vet, set an appointment, and walked out with my cat.
Petco recommend me this Animal medical center because they had no appointments. This place accepted walk ins the doctor on that day was USELESS she saw from far away didn’t even get close to my dog to see if she was okay since she got hit by a car . The doctor was like “She looks okay to me” “anything else you want me too do ?” Like seriously?!?! Front desk ladies are the only good thing about this place other than that the doctor who was a lady sucked !
Have been here few times. The service is great here. People very nice. The only bad thing is it seems like it is never clean. Sitting in a room with white hair all over the place and out furrbaby is black. She comes out with white hair all over her. There us splatter on the walls and cabinets that looks like its been there for a while. Over all nice place. Just needs to be cleaned better for each baby that comes in here. Even in the front entrance, there should not be dog poop right infront of the door. There should not be treats on the floor inside the main lobby. Not all pets can have the same treats.
Called them today bc our senior dog was dying. She was suffering so much and they could hear it over the phone. They were absolutely nothing but amazing with our girl Maya and making her last moments comfortable. The staff was so sympathetic to us. I can’t thank you all enough! I definitely recommend them! Had a pleasant (though sad time for us) experience from the phone call to checkin to the end of the visit from the staff. Again thank you 😊
I took my cat for an infection in her breast. One of the technicians came and took some info about my cat, but didn’t even look at her. I waited for 2 hrs and left, and my cat was never seen by a doctor. I should have read the reviews before coming to this place. They didn’t charge me for anything, It’s just sad because my cat was so uncomfortable for that long and I wasted 2 hours of my time
I have a handicap plate and a handiap blue sign since I am a disabled US Army veteran who has hip and back problems. I notified the front desk about it and the woman told me on the phone she would ask. The closest space was down the hill near the business brown building. I finally waited and waited and nobody was at the front. The two white women in the waiting room were just staring at me so I asked, Does anyone have a blue Volkswagon thats parked in the handicapped area? One of the large white woman said it was her car. I told her that if she did not have handicap plates or a blue handicap sign she could not park there. She gave me an attitude and said Well the regular spaces arent that far. then she tried to give me some story that her husband served in the army... blah blah blah.I told her that those spaces are supposed to be reserved for disabled people like me and she started yelling at me rudely, OH my God, blah blah blah. When she started yelling at me, employees came out and told the rude woman to stop yelling at me. Because she yelled at me and was rude about the parking space being entitled and all, I yelled back at her and said, If you dont have disabled plate or sign you cant park there! Then this EMPLOYEE A VERY OBESE LARGE WHITE WOMAN with a brown ponytail intervened and started yelling at me escalating the situation and embarrassing me. The other employee was about to walk me into a room, and your employee who was the very obese white woman started yelling at me to stop yelling. Oh the irony! She yelled at me just as I was about to walk with the other employee to the room and yelled, If you dont stop yelling, your appointment will be cancelled and you can leave!! She embarrassed me and only chastised me, even though the other female customer started it.This employee only came in and heard me yelling at her about the plates and not the other woman. She was a nasty employee and I told her she was exasperating the situation. The employee continued to berate me in front of other customers all the while never telling the other woman not to yell. She only picked on me, embarrassed me and chastised me. If she was going to yell at me not to yell, why didnt she tell that to the other woman too? I asked two of the vet techs her name but for some reason nobody knew her name because I was going to write a complaint.
My husband and I cant thank Dr. Henry and the entire staff at the I-20 Animal Hospital enough for saving our cat Lizzies life. Lizzie contracted the deadly cat disease Panluekopenia and did not have a good prognosis, but Dr. Henrys action plan and treatments have saved Lizzie and he is recovering miraculously. Lizzie was in ICU for three days and the staff took great care of Lizzie and of us, Lizzies humans. They were so good about calling us to give us updates and were very kind to let us visit Lizzie on our way to and from work every day. We truly appreciated that everything was explained to us before any action was taken, and we knew exactly what financial costs were involved ahead of time. This animal hospital is very busy, but a wait time is understandable due to being one of the only emergency hospitals that so many other vets refer their patients to--we came from Waxahachie. What really stood out to us is that the staff is caring and compassionate with pet owners and are trying their best to care for everyone in a timely manner according to the severity of the emergency, no matter if you have an appointment or not--the parking lot is always full because they are doing a great job! We highly recommend Dr. Henry and the rest of the staff to take care of your fur babies. It is hard to find the words to express how grateful we feel for such a wonderful job they did caring for Lizzie.
I called first thing Saturday morning since I couldnt get my fur baby to her vet. They took us immediately as a walk in the 2 ladies at front desk Karisa & Skype were very kind patient and professional with me checking in then I met Peton & Dr. Cindy L Welch were extremely compassion kind & considered ofmy furbaby
GOOD: Dr. Zimmerman is a phenomenal, caring vet. This facility offers quality emergency care for your pet.BAD: The front of house administration is a dumpster fire. Your appointments are scheduled incorrectly despite triple verbal confirmations, your pets shot records are not accurately maintained, and you will not be notified about your pets life-altering test results. The frequency of these and others failures and your time wasted on addressing them will add up.Edit: We no longer entrust this location with the care and treatment of our pets.
This place is horrible, I took my puppy here and we waited there for 3 hours and a half, it was only one doctor there, the worse part it was when the doctor finally got to see us and check our puppy out she say that it was nothing to worry about, our puppy had some bumps and she give us a prescription for a anti flamatory that her bumps would go away, we ask her to touch her stomach because we felt something on her and didnt really check it sheSeem to be in a hurry, she say she didnt feel anything on her , we went home having hope that hopefully it was just that, we waited for almost a week and her bumps wouldnt go away , we decided to go somewhere else just to find out the bumps she had were tumors worse part some in her kidney, so disappointing on that place , would never recommend this place , so if you Care about your pet please go somewhere else.!!!! If I could give 0 stars I will but wont let me.
Ive been taking my pets to this vet for about 15 yrs. It used to be great but over the last 6 months or so, its been terrible on the office side of things and the long wait times for service. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the lack of information and wrong information that I have been provided. This vet used to be my go to even though I moved 40 mins away. After my recent 3 visits in the last month or so, I wont be back
I’m sorry but after the way I was treated by Heidi while job hunting, I wouldn’t take a dead June bug there. Heidi is extremely unprofessional and hateful.Place just has a bad vibe and they seem very rude and stuck up. Hopefully the clinicians and techs treat the animals better than the staff up front treat people.
I-20 Animal Medical Center saved my 4-month old puppy from Parvo virus. Dr. Welch, Dr. Kraft, Dr. Robinson, and Dr. Wilson and their Staff were incredibily professional and supportive. I strongly recommend I-20 for its high level of medicine, 24/7 care, professionalisma and excellent customer service. Our dog Porchie loves visiting I-20 and we board Porchie there whenever we go out of town. Below are some pictures of the before and after. Thank you I-20 for saving our dog!
When my dog was bitten by a poisonous snake in the middle of the night, I was extremely grateful for this place! I called ahead. So they were ready for us. They were calm and caring. It is EXPENSIVE. But my best friends life was depending on it. The vet also does follow up phone calls. I would prefer more of a do you have questions? type call. I did get the feeling he was checking off his obligations by calling. In any case, the calls were appreciated.I want to add that a week or so after the expensive night of snake anti-venom I received a hefty credit to my credit card. I was told on the night of my dogs services that they do charge the maximum amount possible. Then they review all procedures and credit back whatever amount the patient has coming. I did not actually expect to receive money back, but it happened! So they were true to their word and I did get credit back to my card. I appreciate that very much! Yes, I do recommend this place and would gladly go there again.
My dog had been throwing up so I took her to this place for an emergency care. After waiting for 3 hours in the lobby I decided to leave the place. We didnt get to see any doctor. I went to a different animal hospital and they immediately took care of my fur baby. Waiting time is Horrible!!!
On my first visit of June 24, 2020, at around 6:30 until after 11 pm, yes ELEVEN PM❗And I have to say, Not such a good FIRST IMPRESSION when a couple of the staff complains about how busy they are and the nonstop phone ringing. And then right before my dog and I finally get to go to a room after a really LONG WAIT. And then WAIT some more in the room❗(TYPICAL DOCTORS OFFICE)The bad part was one of the staff comes out of her office and gets in another employees face and in a fairly LOUD voice says to her stay the FU%@ OUT of my office. Then as shes walking away she threw something towards the employee behind the front counter/register. I hope she DOESNT handle animals.Once seen after a long wait by 3 different doctors that did seem to care about Flex and that I did not have a lot of money to spend. I will say, Amber with the colorful hair was super nice and helpful. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Even after that LONG wait just do blood work, they still wouldnt wave the $50 visit fee.😞Itll probably be my first and last visit for any of my animals and myself to this vet clinic.
I highly recommend you run from this place. My puppy had parvo. I now understand why even with vet care, 20% dont make it.... because incompetent vets like this! Every time we called, we got a different story how the dog was doing. One time they told me my puppy was great, happy, and healthy... when I started asking questions specific to my puppy the lady said oh, I dont know. Can I have the phone number to look up your account and see which dog... how are you going to tell me dog is healthy and then have to look up the account!! I prepaid for services... miracously... they amount they adjust came down to the exact cent I prepaid. I call bullcrap. What I was charged for, the vet tech that had been taking care of her had already told me the dog hadnt had any of those meds so they will be new to her. I took her home before her treatment was up. Wed- Saturday.. my dog was doing worse than she was when we took her. I treated 2 of her siblings at home and they are already better. Never got as bad as her. Within 24 hours of her being home, she was sooo much better. I decided to take her to a different vet and guess what.. our puppy is still improving. I feel like they did not give adequate care and over charge. I paid around $3800 to get a dog back way sicker than she went in. 3 days of treatment and I picked up a puppy close to death. Now Im paying another vet for treatment. Guess what! When I call, they actually know my pet! Run from this place. Seriously. Worst vet experience ever.
I took my 5-6 month old kitten here last week because I thought she was having some digestive issues. After waiting several hours to be seen I was told that my kitten may have hurt her back issues charged $98 for the visit and medication she was prescribed. Only to go home and after observing her more I was able to conclude that my kitten was actually in heat and thats where her discomfort was coming from. I was so disappointed that I was able to figure out what was wrong with her and the Vet wasnt. I will never return back to this place.
My Great Dane Lexi just left there today and I was just in awe of the entire experience. They took her in and immediately got her into ICU. She had to have an Emergency spay and she had a slew of other problems. They addressed everything quickly and explained everything to us. She stayed over night and we were told we could call anytime or come up there anytime to be with her. We visited the next morning after surgery and were able to sit with her for a while and they were just so caring and accomodative. Of course I hope I dont have to go there again but if for any reason I would go there in a heart beat. Dr Zimmerman and Dr. Wegenast were phenomenal. Thank you so much for being there when nobody else was!!❤❤
I scheduled an appointment on the phone the day before and showed up on time. Still waited 2 and a half hours to be seen. I had brought my cat in for an emergency visit three days before and they almost immediately told me the bad news- and a second later another technician tells me there’s a chance to save my cat- but they need 500 $ down. We obviously agree to it. An hour or less later my cat has passed away and another 130$ just to cremate her- and we don’t get her remains. When I brought my cat in for a regular check up- which was 52 $ originally, the doctor takes almost three hours to see him, and stays for less than 10 minutes. She doesn’t take his temperature or anything but looks at him and suggests flea and tick medication, medication for ear mites, a feline FIV test, and a dewormer/ test for worms. This brings up the total to 200+. I deny the FIV test which was 80 because I will be getting his vaccines at TCAP- and I can get flea treatment for cheaper. However, I pay 50$ for the worm test and medicine. They say they’ll call me with the results in 20 minutes and I leave. They never call me. I have to call them. My cat didn’t even have worms
My family has used I20 AMC several times and weve always been pleased with the service weve received. Most recently one of our dogs needed surgery that our regular vet couldnt do for some time. We got an appointment for two days out and surgery the next day...I was happily surprised. Dr. Robinson did a great job with our girl and the other staff were friendly and helpful. Theyre under a lot of pressure these days and Im grateful for the work theyre doing.
After spending just a little over $10k in less than 18 months of visits, I was turned away on an emergency operation because I had no debit card or cash on me(lost wallet so no cards). This should have done it for me and I should have written them off but I figured a few years have passed, what the heck.Still an unprofessional business. As a walk in I expected a wait and was told it could be 2hrs but theyll call me once a room and doctor become available. I patiently waited 1hr and decided to call and see if anything opened up. The response was oh we were just about to call you, were ready to see your 2 dogs so walked in, weighed my pups and relayed all necessary info to a nurse. I was told a doctor will be in shortly but after 1hr 2mins, I walked out. My dogs get anxious, as most do in that environment so I would have gladly waited in my vehicle with my babies(plenty of space and comfort). A simple pop in and explanation for the extended wait would have sufficed. The clinic, at times, has quality staff that seem genuine and caring to our loved ones but management is horrendous and even nurses in the past would vent about the revolving door of doctors. Im not one to vent online and I believe my history shows that but when it involves my loved ones, my hand is forced.Full me twice, shame on me I guess.
Ive only had to visit in emergency situations, as my pets visit a different vet regularly, but my pets have always received great care in the hands of the staff. This past weekend I unfortunately had to bring my dog in with injuries from an altercation with another dog in the household. They brought her back right away and were very quick to assess the situation and and explain to me the severity of her condition. I was given realistic expectations and vet tech Mark was very eager to get my baby feeling more comfortable which I greatly appreciated. I unfortunately made the decision to let her go. Angel truly stood out to me, she treated me with so much compassion, like I was her friend, and she loved on my baby like she was her own. Angel even sent a personalized condolences letter shortly after 🥺As difficult of a time I was having, the staff was composed, attentive, and loving. I hope I get to visit under better circumstances soon 💜
Brought my kitty in and had to have surgery. When I picked him up he had vomit on his face and the tech told us not to worry about it. When we got him home we realized he was also covered in his own urine. Overall not a good experience and will be going elsewhere for his follow up.
The office was great with our peppers. My fur baby got a wooden stick stuck in the roof of her mouth and neither she nor I were able to get it out.The vet was great. She was very calm and reassuring. There was a little bit of a wait because I didnt have an appointment, but it was no problem. Bella wasnt having a crisis that was life threatening, just very uncomfortable for her.
THE NICEST VET!!! I have been to multiple Vets and have worked at one for a while but I have never found one that will take the time necessary for my highly reactive and scared dog. They gave him all the time he needed and went very slow and listened to all my dogs queue. he was so happy that when we left to go potty he marched right back in and was not scared one bit. This means we had to wait a bit longer however it was so worth it.
Dr Bloom and staff did an amazing job on my dogs dental surgery needs. Front desk staff great. Dogs recovery was short and pain-free in large part, which gave me great confidence the dental surgery went well. Service price was excellent, very competitive, high quality services from Dr Bloom and team. Price was the least of 3 quotes. Dr Bloom and staff very personable. Bonus, if any issues, questions, need a make-sure 2nd post-surgery check-up. No problem w Dr Bloom, and its no charge. Awesome!! Great team. Very happy.
We came here for an emergency that our regular vet was not equipped to handle (my dog was having seizures), and we were immediately taken care of. Mia, my pup, was made to feel comfortable and safe (she was terrified when we first came in), and our doctor was very helpful and kept us informed throughout Mias stay. We were so happy with Mias treatment, that we came back here for her follow-up appointment, and will be returning for all of her regular vet needs as well. Thank you so much for calming my scared pup (and her scared mama!!)!!
Had a wonderful experience with the folks at i20 animal hospital. Jade was just amazing. They took as much time to answer questions as I needed. Actually sat on the floor with me and Baby for the exam. So kind and understanding. Dr. Robinson was also very kind and explained everything to me in a way that was informative but not condescending. After I was given all the information I was allowed to decide between a few options for treatment. This is our clinic from now on!
Weve been here twice for pet emergencies, and have been completely satisfied each time. Once we took our kitty here at 1am and had incredible care. The nurses and doctors are extremely nice, very thorough in care, and answered any questions we had. Our fur babies felt so much better just the day after. Weve called them with questions in the middle of the night, too, and theyve always taken the time to talk to us.
I SHOULD HAVE READ THE REVIEWS!!! I scheduled an appointment for 12:30pm 9.22.2021. I checked in at 12:20pm. I was sat in a patient room at 12:25, was seen by a technician at 1:00pm. At 1:55 pm I inquired as to whether or not I should come back, since it had been 90 min and I had still not seen a doctor. My dog is 16 years old and he was very uncomfortable trying to lay on the floor. After I said something I heard the girl from the front desk mocking me in the back. I immediately got up and told them I was not happy and left. Complete lack of professionalism, communication and appreciation of another persons time. I really do not know what to say, very disappointed. They may want to consider in the future that the walls are paper thin and that patients can here everything being said. Pretty high and might group at I20 Animal Medical Center.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!!my super sweet, kind, full of energy one year old pit bull was denied service simply because he was barking (regardless of his tail wagging and excitement). The male tech there was awful and didn’t even give him a chance, my pup was terrified and scared and injured, but he was still excited to see everyone! They let me know that he cannot step into their doors ever again and that he is dangerous. -1000 stars here’s a picture of my “incredibly dangerous” pit bull
We brought our dog in because she was sick, they gave her fluids and told us it would be $2000 to keep her their over night. It was 2 am at that time, they then told me that my dog would be fine going home. She died slowly on the way to another vet because of their treatment. She was only 5 years old. If I could give this place a negative review it would be -20. They care more about money than the pets. NEVER BRING PETS HERE
DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE IF YOU WANT THEM TO LIVE! We had taken my puppy because he was vomiting and had bloody diarrhea. They didn’t know what was wrong with him. It looked like they didn’t know what the were doing. They had given him 2 injections and not even 5 minutes later he wasn’t responsive (he basically looked brain dead) and THEY LEFT THE NEEDLE ON THE SEAT AND I SAT ON IT NOT KNOWING IT WAS THERE. one of the first options the vet gave us was to put him down. The vet was trying to get us to pay $4500 for overnight care. My puppy ended up having a seizure and passing away before we even left. They charged us for medication we didn’t even use and we left without even knowing the cause of his death. The vet was very negative and the girl from the front was pushy about the bill. Never coming here again.
I have been going to I-20 Animal Hospital for likely over 20 years. Anytime there is an emergency or difficult case I bring them here. The staff are very professional and personable. The doctors are compassionate and informative. You feel like you are a part of the journey and maintain control of your pets care and concerns. whether it is a quick bath, a intense surgery, or the final walk, they care, they are there and they understand. I will always stand by them because they always stand beside me and my pets.
Really I feel bad cuz I took my baby cat there bad service high prices the doctor just want to kill my cat she no want to give him any treatment 😔she said cuz he will be sick again but when I took him to another vet he gave him some medication he became great and come back like before
I took my girl Blu here. They rushed her right in and did absolutely everything they could to help her.She did not survive but I know what they did to save her. When I got the call she had passed Dr Wilson was so compassionate and caring. I would trust them with any of my pets.I know telling an owner their pet has passed isint easy and their compassion was genuine and heartfelt. My heart is shattered but knowing they did absolutely everything possible to help her makes is a bit easier.
My 17 year old Husky began showing serious health issues two years ago. The doctors and staff at I-20 Animal Medical Center gave support and care while we hung on to Shire. She finally reached her end of trying and when I called Madison answered the phone, I said my name and Shires name and that is all I could get out before turning into a crying mess, but she understood it was time and she just took care of everything. She said, oh no, Im sorry- well be ready when you get her here. I didnt have to say a word. We arrived and we said our good byes and the medical staff were kind and gentle and quietly empathetic. They gave us two extra years and the most compassion you could ever need. These are the best people and medical heroes. Thank you I-20 Animal Medical Center!
The lack of customer service is disturbing and the managers do not care i have waited weeks for a follow up to being denied emergency service due ti a clerk with a huge attitude problem i recorded her telling me I DONT HAVE TO GIVE U CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS IS A ANIMAL HOSPITAL NOT HUMAN ANIMALLLL... it obviously was not safe to send my sick dog with such an angry ugly person.. i left and called to speak with mgt only to be told by Heidi I ALREADY HEARD ABOUT THAT AND I BELIEVE MY GIRLS DID NOTHING WRONG she said they went out of their way to help me and i refused BUT MY ER VISIT WAS AT 1 AM IN THE MORNING AFTER MY DOG HAS 8 SEIZIRES... please help me understand WHY I WOULD DRIVE TO THE ER THAT LATE AND THEN JUST SAY NEVRMIND??? i must have been treated VERY POORLY but no one cared no one followed up i have been calling daily and being ignored and now reached out beyond the office.. still waiting. this is not okay and MERCEDES count your days
This last weekend we took our Westie to 1-20 Animal Medical Center, it was the first time wed been there. He appeared to have had a stroke, was unresponsive but alive with labored breathing. A tech took him right away and another tech took us to an exam room to wait. Dr. Welch came in 3 times to talk with us. She seemed irritated when we asked questions to try to determine a good course of action. I never felt we got a clear diagnosis and it seemed like she was more interested in making $$$ for the clinic than caring for our dog. Finally she walked out without a word and sent in a tech. James was very helpful, he explained everything clearly and with compassion. Our experience here was that the techs were great but this doctor treated us poorly. I wont go back.
We took our 10 week old French bulldog in while having a seizure. I called ahead of time and they were ready for our arrival to take him right back. They decided to keep him overnight which was perfect because we wanted to make sure he was stable and all test came back good. They mentioned to come in and call at any point. I called the next morning to make sure he was still stable and it took a hour and a half to receive a call back just so I knew my baby was still okay. Later we came in to visit him twice and we’re not able to both times due to being busy, which I understood. The doctors and staff were amazing but the lady at the front with purple/black long hair was so unprofessional. I felt like a complete waste of time in her books. She made me feel uncomfortable and the elderly lady right behind me. The only reason I didn’t say anything was because they still had my baby. People shouldn’t work here who can’t be considerate of someone in distress going through a hard time. I would make changes immediately if I had someone like that working in a HOSPITAL. Going to Mansfield emergency room next time! They actually care at the front desk!
Do NOT bring your pet here for an emergency.I brought my 4 month old Pekingese here because he started having breathing issues. The vet ran tests and determined he had Pneumonia and his lungs were filled with fluid causing him to have struggled breathing.I left him for treatment overnight and the office was very unhelpful in giving me updates on the status of my dog. They ran x rays and bloodwork and came up with multiple ‘possible’ issues wrong with my dog.Stating he had megasophagus and can’t swallow food or water. They believed this to be due to birth defects and possibly heart problems as well with my dog. After calling for updates multiple times they stated that my dog was not getting better and they couldn’t figure out why. The vet called and prepared me to put down my dog but I didn’t see that as an option, so they were looking for other hospitals to take him. While I was trying to figure out where to take him by calling other hospitals at the same time due to the needs of a cardiologist specialist. The vet told me they would let my dog ‘hang out’ while I figure that out. Meanwhile he’s struggling to breathe on his own and his condition is worsening. They sent me to a separate care facility in Dallas that was so wonderful. The one thing I can thank them for.The new vet contacted me constantly with updates and were surprised with the notes of the I20 vet. They stated his condition was drastically worse over night but he came to them in an okay condition, and couldn’t understand why he would’ve gotten worse. The I20 vet stated these things happen with ‘flat face dogs’ that’s how I knew this is the wrong place and needed to move him. Seems like they did nothing at all to help my dog. After the new vets examination they said his heart was fine and that he was eating and drinking.Just had Pneumonia and started treatment for that. Not even 5 hours later they called me saying he was doing better and had continued to do so throughout the night. I talked to multiple vets and techs and they all went into detail about his treatment and improvement. Not even two days later he’s back to complete health and a happy puppy again. The vet here is completely incompetent and shouldn’t be in practice. I’m 100% certain they would have let my dog die had he stayed any longer. Don’t bring your pet here.
I HAVE TO GIVE A 5 STARS SO THAT THIS REVIEW CAN BE READ, IF NOT THEY WILL FILTER MY REVIEW OUT TO KEEP PEOPLE FROM READING IT.YOUR PET’S HEALTH WILL DEPENDS ON YOUR DECISION OF WHERE YOU WILL TAKE THEM.My intention to write this review is to save any pets owners from falling into the same situation where I was. IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET, YOU HAVE TO READ THIS 100% TRUTH EXPERIENCES THAT I HAD WITH THE 1-20 HOPSITAL. My dog was diagnosis PRE-DIABETES to SEVERE DIABETIC KETOACIDOSIS after brought into i-20 hospital because he was given PREDNISONE which induce the severity of his condition and inflamed his pancreas. MY DOG COULD HAD DIED, but the doctors from I-20 kept saying he is completely normal.Saturdays morning - June 26, 2021 - Like everyone else, our family waited 6 hours to be seen. The nurse said they were going to take his X-rays and blood work. Two hours later, the doctor came out with his lab results. She said his blood work is normal. EVERYTHING IS NORMAL! She mentioned the sugar level, the kidneys, the lungs, the heart, the pancreas, and the blood count were all normal except the x-ray showed that my pet has an obstruction in his stomach which he had to stay in the hospital overnight for treatment and promised the facility will contact me to update his condition. No other choice but to put all our hopes and trusts to this hospital, hoping that he will be in great care of the doctors and staffs. We paid $1,500+ and went home with lots of hope that we will see our pet healthy the next day.Sunday afternoon at 2:15pm, the doctor called and said everything in his stomach had gotten out and he was ready to go home. She promised to call me back around 5:30pm to ensure everything was done and ready for my dog home. I waited until 9:00pm. I had to work the next day and still didnt know when to pick up my dog so I called the hospital. Like usual, no one answered the phone. I drove to the hospital and told the receptionist my situation. She told me to wait and Around 11pm, they brought my dog out with four medications to bring home: The PREDNISONE (steroids), the anti-nausea, and two antibiotics. My dog had completely eaten nothing since we brought him home. He suddenly stopped eating ever since he got home.Wednesdays night, No food for 5 days straight so I took him back to the hospital to seek for help. After 4 hours of wait time, the doctor came into the room and told us that everything is still normal, and she didn’t know why he is not eating. She then recommended to start another $2,000 procedure on him to see further why he is not eating, then she left the room. We were left in the room clueless with a nurse, so I told the nurse that we will go home and will try to feed him, and if he is not eating again, then we will come back to do that procedure. At this point my dog was only ½ alive. He was so skinny and weak and yet they still said he was normal! After I rejected the procedure, the doctor never came back to give us an advice of what to do next. 2a.m., We were told to check out with the bill of $350+ and zero advice of what to do to my starving, fatique, hopeless dog. We left the hospital with sadness and lost.Thursday, I did not give up! I tried to seek for any hope that I could for my dog. I made calls to all the facilities around my area to seek for help with tears in my eyes, and finally I was told to take my dog to the Mansfield Hospital to seek help. When we got to the Mansfields Hospital, HE WAS URGENTLY BROUGHT IN TO BE HOSPITALIZED DUE TO HIS SEVERE CONDITION. His blood test showed that his SUGAR LEVEL WAS 350+ compared to only 120+ when he first brought into the I-20 Hospital. The doctor told me that the Prednisone HAD INDUCED THE SYMPTOM FROM PER-DIABETIC TO SEVERE DIABETIC KETOACIDOSIS .I had spoken up what really happened to my pet and hoping that other pets owners will never had to go through this situation like I did.YOUR PET’S HEALTH WILL DEPENDS ON YOUR DECISION OF WHERE YOU WILL TAKE THEM.
We took our pup in late one night because she was experiencing heavy vomiting and diarrhea. We asked if there would be any way for them to call when the doctor was ready so we could keep her at home and not sit in public for too long with her getting sick. I’m also 4 months pregnant and didn’t want to be sitting there for hours on end. They told us there was a spot immediately available for her so we rushed her there and ended up sitting there for 2.5 hours. During this time her condition worsened to where she was constantly throwing up blood and had blood in her diarrhea. We sat in the examining room all this time trying to clean up and begging for the doctor. Doctor took her time and when she did see her, told us that she just wanted to treat symptoms and not look into anything more serious. Again, blood was actively coming out of our dog. Two weeks later her symptoms are still happening so we take our dog to a different vet for a second opinion and SURPRISE our poor baby has a pretty serious case of hookworms. In the span of this two weeks since I-20 didn’t want to look into root cause, our other pup is now infected as well. I’m terribly disappointed with I-20 and the care they provided.
We took our very sick cat in. The vet did a URD panel stating we would have the results within 24 hours. We have called every day to find out results and was told repeatedly that a vet would call us back. I called today again to request a refund for the test since we never got any results and was informed by the manager Ashley that only the vet who did the test could authorize a refund. Turns out the vet who did the test has been off since the day the tests were done and Ashley stated no other vet could give us the results so we have had our cat in isolation for 8 days not knowing what he had and not knowing whether we can release him from isolation.Spread the word DO NOT TAKE your pet to this clinic. They are inefficient and do not care except for the money they can take from you cause you care about your pet.
Waited over 3 hours to not be seen. I understand this is an emergency hospital, but I was waiting for 3 hours and when i went to ask them how much longer they advised they just had three critical animals come in. Which i get, but those animals came in 10 minutes ago. NO ONE knows how to open their mouth and say hi it’s going to be 3+ hours. If I knew that I would have went home and taken care of my family and other sick dog then came back. Because the new three animals came in I was told would have to wait another hour!!! The vet tech came in about an hour after I was in a room and said the doctor will be in soon. 1.5 hours later nothing. My dog has been randomly chocking and gasping for air and I showed them the video. Just needed doc to look at the video and give meds or send her for x rays. But for 8x the price I could have brought her into ICU. but they said she was stable now.
This was already a challenging enough appointment to make and the terrible experience just made everything worse.I went in Wednesday to make an appointment for Friday at 6pm for a quality of life consult for my dog. I arrived on Friday for the appointment previously scheduled and was told there were no rooms available, no biggie. It was about 635 when we were brought to a waiting room. We saw a tech at 645 and from there saw no one for 2.5 HOURS. No one checked on us or updated us. At an hour and 15 minutes since we last saw someone I stepped outside of the room to ask what was going on. The front desk staff was unkind and uncaring. They stated emergency appointments are prioritized over scheduled appointments. When I asked if waiting over an hour way typical she seemed annoyed and shrugged stating sometimes. I proceeded to wait as it was important to have this appointment as I needed professional assistance during this sensitive time. Another hour almost goes by and no one has come to the room. My dog is over stressed and exhausted, so even if they did ever come check on us this appointment would not have been beneficial anymore. I walked to the front desk and asked them to cancel my appointment. I explained that I scheduled an appointment 2.5 HOURS prior and that this wasnt acceptable. I was not rude but I was exhausted, emotionally drained and it was apparent. There was no customer service, no apology, barely any eye contact as they said ok. This was a terrible and exhausting experience that I hope no one else has to endure
Honestly I can put into words how amazing they were. My dog was in rough shape (13) and they got her right in they were busy and yet made us feel comfortable and like a priority. The staff as a whole was incredible super warm and just overall great. And so far the road to recovery for my big baby is doing well. We went in there and she was lethargic shaking and just not herself when she came back from the treatments and such she was wagging her tail and had a pep in her step already. I couldnt ask for better
The staff at this facility is awesome. I had two pets who are like children that had to have surgery for an obstruction. Doctors Welch and Robinson, as well as assistants Jade and Zach were beyond helpful and friendly. I immediately trusted everyone with my babies, and that trust was deserved. The procedures were explained to me, my calls were returned promptly, and the overall experience was more than I could have hoped for. I was really impressed with how the doctors and staff treated my pets, and how I was treated. Finally, and more importantly, I am grateful for I-20 saving my babies. Its so nice to have somewhere you can go and be comfortable with leaving your pet. Thank you I-20!
I called around 11pm /midnight on Sunday night with concerns regarding my dogs behavior (I originally thought earlier in the week it was her seasonal allergies but her signs and symptoms grew more severe over the course of a few days). I was assured I could be with my dog in the exam room, which is a huge relief and privilege now that COVID cases are rising again. Dr. Lewis was amazing and answered all of my questions I nervously asked. He and his tech, as well as his front of house staff were all calm, sweet and reassuring (despite me being frazzled and frantic). It also wasnt NEAR as expensive as I used to pay at my last ER animal clinic I utilized before it closed when COVID hit. I noticed a lot of comments regarding a wait time, and as a healthcare worker myself, I think its really unreasonable to expect an in and out experience when it comes to an ED/trauma setting and its perfectly fine and professional that they took their time with their assessments, exams, tests, lab work to make sure they had everything they needed to diagnose my dog correctly. I do wish they had in house payment plans, but we ended up not even needing one because their prices (for an emergency setting) were manageable. Thank you!
If I could give this place negative 600 stars, I would. First of all, I sat in the waiting room for over an hour (expected) without being seen. Then, sat in a back room waiting to be seen (another 45 mins). ALL THIS BEFORE MY CAT WAS EVEN LOOKED AT. The overnight doctor was extremely uneducated and flustered and answered zero questions that I asked. They said my cat had no temperature and his overall exam looked good, and sent me home with 2 syringes of anti-pain meds. They refused to do bloodwork or an X-ray and insisted I just take him home and monitor for 12 hours. Luckily I didn’t give him the medicine they provided, the next day he was much worse. I took him to the Pet Emergency Hospital in Mansfield (incredible facility), and they informed me that my cat’s temp was at 105.5, he had pain in his abdomen, and immediately came up with a treatment plan. I then called I-20 to speak to a manager and was hung up on. I cannot talk down on I-20 enough. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!! Other vets and pet owners in the area have the same consensus, this place SUCKS.
: I spent over an hour waiting for a room after we were told to come straight in. Mind you I came from Lancaster to Arlington since I was told to get there the sooner the better. Then we waited for about 2.5 hours for a vet after TWO techs came in to check on him. The front desk “manager” Heidi was very pretentious and acted like we were a waste of her time. By this time I was running about an hour behind for appointments. The longer we waited the less lethargic Sam became so I brought him home after a complete waste of our morning with no concern from the staff. On the way home I called to speak with a manager only to find out Heidi was the ONLY manager on duty & was promised a return call, that never happened!!! On top of it all I wasn’t able to finish in time to go to prayer service & Youth group. I arrived home to some very upset kiddos. Now Sam is back to his good ole self and I didn’t have to take him to the Mansfield emergency hospital which I hear has loads better service. Next time Mansfield animal hospital will be our first stop!!!!
This was our first time here late last night. They wavered our after hours fee because it was our first time. Since Ive never been to one, I cant compare prices. We paid 400 total for the visit. That included our cats XRAY, pain meds and the 102.00 walk in fee also included the cat being seen by the vet. They took our cat backfirst then explained the walk in fee/ exam and let us feel out paper work then charged us. We paid the rest after the visit. The staff was very nice. We loved the nurse, they are very relatable. The facility is clean and very pretty! Incase your wondering our kitty is fine! Just a sprang paw.
The staff at I-20 Animal Medical Center are amazing. They are very caring and helpful. My dog Gus has been going there since he was a puppy and he is always treated well and loves going to the clinic. The clinic is doing a great job with the new covid policy in place. The clinic is clean with a homey feel to it. The staff always puts the care of your pet first.
In terms of an emergency clinic, I have no opinion. In terms of a normal clinic, Im not particularly happy with them.A round of bloodwork and xrays cost 450.00. The vet mentioned possible slight arthritis in my 9 year old dog, and immediately put painkillers on my billing sheet. Im unsure as to why my dog, who dashes around the yard, catches possums, and kills mice, needs to be addicted to an unnecessary pain medication, because of a POSSIBLE hint of arthritis.I mentioned that she had seizures, but that they had been decreasing in frequency and severity in recent years - to the point where they were mild (no more than five minutes), and no loss of bowel function or salivation. She recommended putting her on anti-seizure meds, three separate examples.Shes had a rough allergic reaction to either fleas or the new chews I got for her (they have a chicken base, and she doesnt do well on chicken). The vet said that her skin was infected, and recommended a round of antibiotics (?). I did purchase these, though her skin has already lost inflammation and is smooth again without use, two days later. In this case, Ill likely be giving them to her if there is sign of infection (there was a scab where she chewed, which has since fallen off - she heals faster than I do).She hasnt been neutered, owing to said seizures, and again, she is 9 years old - any other vet Ive talked to has said that unless there was a particular issue, neutering at that late age wasnt recommended, especially with a propensity towards seizures. Of course, this vet recommended neutering (there is a trend here).I brought her in for a small hard line of tissue near her vagina, which - positive note - the vet assured me was more than likely mammary, and the xray showed how shallow it was. She recommended surgical removal.Overall, I wasnt impressed, and I genuinely felt they were racking up the costs (the painkiller recommendation is truly what irked me, and made me wonder about the necessity of all of it. When the medication ran out, of course my pup would be in more pain, since it nullifies ALL pain - then Id get worried and have to show up again. All of this for a possible spot of arthritis at the base of her spine - never mind that she sploots like a champ, and can jump on tables).I felt every statement I made about my dog was ignored. That being said, they were friendly and kind, and my dog appreciated and loved them all. The bloodwork and the xrays were done quickly and clearly, and the clinic itself is quite beautiful, with stained glass chandeliers and a large foyer.
This is a great place for a checkup if you dont have any kind of time frame, their doctors are experts in what they do.If you have a sick pet, they wont help you over the phone. And if you do get an appt for a sick pet theyll usually break that appt by 2 hours or more and screw you around. If you show up in person they will try to turn you away unless you pet is going to die in the next 5 minutes.Dont go here if you have extended, palliative care as well, Ive had a pet take a dive and have them put me off 8 + 12 + 24 hours.TLDR: Expert doctors that will save your pet from imminent death. If your pet is sick take them somewhere else because they wont be any kind of priority.
This place needs to be shut down! No matter what the delimma is,, they have many excuses..its rediculious and there are so many places that truly care for your pets and dont try to take every penny you got! That dont euthanize your 10 month old pregnant dog because you cant pay their overpriced fees..So many pets are dying because of their uncaring staff ! They dont scan for chips. Oh by the way, can I have your scanner? Since its just collecting dust and germs...I remember a few years ago my chihuahua had a little gash on his head. They wanted almost $800 ! I took the pain shot and antibiotics $275.00 and went home and put a butterfly stitch on it. He was fine.
They saved my puppys life last year. I came in with him and they took one look and swooped him up and put an IV in him because he was lethargic. The doctor explained everything so clear and gave analogy to what someone with diabetes go through when there sugar is low. On 8/7 he will be 1 years old:)
My cat had a appointment scheduled for 12:30 due to a infection in his mouth that was getting progressively worse. My dad arrived for his appointment and was taken to a back room where he sat for 45 minutes with no updates. Finally he called the desk to ask for an update. A medical tec came in claiming he cussed out the receptionist which never happened and we would have to wait another 2/3 hours. When my dad said that never happened the tec said “haha you know how women are.” They obviously don’t care about animals considering they made no effort to look after an animal whose condition was getting worse. I will never even think of scheduling an appointment here again. It’s disheartening when you come across vets who don’t take your pets sickness seriously.I would like to add that I did call the office right after to discuss what happened and the lady on the phone was horrible. She said “sorry you had to wait but we were busy saving lives”. I totally understand that emergencies come in but for my animal to be put on the back burner without any explanation is disgusting. I ended up taking him to our normal vet today and he had an abscess in his mouth and a fever which could have been treated a day earlier if they hadn’t lied and said we were cussing them out. I’ve since read all the reviews and thank God these people did not touch my cat. I’ve also read the condescending replies that I’m assuming the owner post on any negative review so I don’t expect a whole lot out of this place.
All the above qualities hold true, my dog had some stomach issues and had diarrhea for past 24 hours. My wife took him to this clinic. They charged $800 in total just to have my wife wait 5 hours in line where my dog pooped 2 times already and felt really bad and after 5 hours the doctor telling “your dog is absolutely fine, here is a list of over priced medications and over priced medical bill” off you go.I looked up the medications later and it was literally $15-20 on 1800 Petrx or Walmart petrx. She didn’t give us the option to purchase it elsewhere, and made $300 on us just on medications. Never going here again. Never going here again. Unless you have hell of a time to waste in line and have approx $1000 to waste on being told “everything is fine” DONT GO HERE!!!
Our older dog reacted very poorly after a surgery at a different veterinarians office. Because it was the weekend we could not get in touch with our veterinarian who did the surgery so we took our dog to this place. Everyone there was extremely caring kind and went out of their way to make us comfortable. They immediately gave her an IV and made her comfortable while they ran blood work. Her blood work came back horrible. They presented the options to us and they could have easily taken a lot more money from us by having us leave her there in intensive care running more test but the vet was very honest with us that her blood work was really bad and we ended up having to euthanize her that night. As horrible is having to do that was they could not have been more compassionate in the way that they did it. Our whole family was present, she was put to sleep 1st and then euthanized it was very peaceful and everyone there again was just so compassionate with everything. Doctor Williams was our veterinarian, Christa was the wonderful tech and the lady at the front desk name escapes me but again everyone was simply amazing to us. We knew she was in bad shape when we brought her in we just didnt know how bad off she was. They may be a little expensive but then again they are an emergency vet. They were very upfront and honest with us about everything and I do not feel taken advantage of at all. Thank you for helping our family through this difficult time.
I arrived at 11:30 over an hour later finally called on to go to an exam room, fast forward another hour and a half and still hadnt seen a doctor. I will say that when the vet finally arrived, she was super nice and informative, both she and the tech took great care of my puppy. If you can deal with the wait time then this isnt a bad choice, but just be prepared to sit for a long while. The office was super clean and all the staff were professional and extremely nice.
Like others have said, they delete bad reviews. Im just going to keep re-writing it.NEVER come here if you have a small animal. I have a guinea pig who was bleeding yesterday, so I rushed in at 3:30 in the morning when only one other car was there. I told Jennifer at the front desk what was going on so she quickly got Peaches (my pig) to go get looked at by the vet. After that everything went downhill.I waited in the room until 4:22 for a vet tech to come in and get more information, so I gave it to him and he said the dr would come in shortly. 4:45 Dr. Wilson came in and we talked about what was going on. She was the only good thing about this visit. However, she didnt know much about small animals and she told me so, but shed ask the other dr and get back to me with answers or the other dr would come in.5:45 rolls around and I finally see x-rays come to find out Peaches has a distended stomach. Wilson doesnt know why, but she would get the other dr to take a look. Never saw her after that and never saw the other dr. Wilson also said that I would be good to go in half an hour.7 oclock comes by and I have already asked 3 different people where my pet was or an update just to have them avoid eye contact with me or ignore me after saying they would look into it. At that point I thought she died! But dont worry, they came into the room 3 separate times to talk about my bill. Finally another tech comes in with her and says he just gave her the injections so were free to go. At that point I got upset and said I understand you had other emergencies, but those people left before me. I was told I could leave over an hour ago and she just got her medication. No one would update me or communicate with me unless it was about my bill, what happened? To which he replies, I dont know, I got here at 5. Did you get here after 5? I told him no Ive been there since 3:30. Oh, well idk sometimes it gets busy idk anything before 5 but I was told shed get her injection before 6 and wed be on our way.I understand there were other pets that had emergencies, but my pet is a patient too. Its great if they know whats going on, but no one would talk to me or give me updates, and most made eye contact and ignored me.$600 later I still dont know whats wrong with my pig. I have to go to another vet to make sure theres no blockage in her stomach. Dont waste your time here and save your money.
I just moved to TX a month ago. My 3 year old pup got extremely sick and spent days in the ICU at I-20. I was so nervous brining him somewhere new and with some of the reviews I read. But I was SO VERY pleasantly surprised. I cannot say enough about Doctor Robinson and the vet techs that helped Zeus. They were so attentive to me and made sure to answer every and all questions and concerns I had with Zeus. This place is SO busy but they make you and your pups needs feel so important. I believe they went above and beyond to make sure him and I were comfortable. Everyone in the ICU is knowledgeable and helpful. I also want to note Z is a pit and has extreme anxiety at the vet and they did great with him. Zeus and I are at home now and he is on a long road to recovery but I am so happy, because I wasn’t sure we’d get here.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! they killed my friends puppy by being absolutely careless. Rather than being helped after waiting for a long time, my friend was bullied and berated by one of the employees instead. They watched her dog have a seizure and die without doing ANYTHING and only said his health was already declining which was a LIE. My friend still doesnt even know what was wrong with her puppy.and a personal message to the staff: you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. you do not care about any of the animals, you solely care about money. youre disgusting. stop using excuses for your disrespectful behavior. keep deleting bad reviews, ill keep posting to make sure you cant kill anymore pets.
BE PREPARED TO WAIT!!!I was a walk up so definitely make an appointment ahead of time. Regardless, I got there at 3:30pm to get medication for my dogs excessive sneezing. I was told to wait outside and they will call me when a room becomes available. After following up twice they finally told me to they had a room for me at 6:30pm! Once in the room they took basic details and told me to wait. At 9:30pm the doctor came in and gave us the medication we needed. She spend 30sec looking over the paper work. We waited 6 hours and very exhausted and disappointed with the whole experience.
This place is NEGATIVE STARS. Walked in with my 13 year old cat as an emergency. 15 minutes later she passed (on her own). 10 minutes after that they said we owe $600 and cant leave without paying. WHAT?!? My 13 yr old fur baby just died and you are holding us hostage for a for just walking in the door and taking a blood sample?? Then you put her in a blue bag inside of an old Amazon box and gave her to us to have her creamated somewhere else for another $300?!! Read the room people!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO I-20 ANIMAL MEDICAL CENTER!!!
Amazing staff all around. Brought our cat up who wasnt eating. The regular vet had misdiagnosed him as having an infection. I-20 took xrays and found he had a blockage in his stomach. They preformed the surgery and were so seriously so great letting us come visit until we could bring him home. Hands down best experience with an ER period.
We have had to come here for emergencies a few times. The first was for a Guinea pig that was sick and they were able to help our little guy back to health. Most recently we were in with puppy emergency. They are fast, the front desk is so helpful and all the doctors and Techs are informative and you dont feel rushed. The doctors do the follow-up calls which is impressive.
We have had excellent care from the veterinarians, vet techs, and staff at I-20 Animal Medical Center for all 3 of our pets. I give them 5 starts and here are 5 reasons why:1) We love Dr. Robinson!2) We feel comfortable if/when another vet has to see our pets (like when have had to come in for an emergency visit).3) We like the consistency and continuity of care I-20 Animal Medical Center offers our family. Whether it be for our regular pet appointments or during an emergency, we like having all of our pet records, trusted vets and vet techs, and friendly staff in one location where our pets feel comfortable.4) We appreciate the follow-up phone calls and emails we receive after our visits.5) And, as pet parents know, pet care can be expensive. That’s why we appreciate the multi-pet discounts I-20 Medical Center offers. Thanks I-20 Medical Center for taking such great care of our pets!
I take my cat to see Dr. Bloom there regularly because he has chronic dental issues. I was referred to her by another vet, and she has been nothing short of amazing. Not only is she great at what she does, but its clear she genuinely cares about the animals she treats. Furthermore, she doesnt charge for follow up visits- only for surgery and pain medication; she could be making a lot more than what she does but chooses not to. Plus the facility is always clean and her vet techs are also amazing! Wish I could give this place 10/5 stars because my cat is now back to his happy, sweet self because this clinic. Dont know about the quality of their other services, but if youre cat/dog has dental issues, this is the place to go!
Hands down, one of the BEST vet experiences Ive had in a long while. Ive been trying to get my dogs teeth extracted for a long while but other clinics were either way too expensive, over $3000, or they were jerks that made me feel terrible about the whole thing. However, this place is one of kind. They worked with me SO much on the pricing and my dog was not in good shape after the surgery so they kept him over night free of charge for round the clock care. I was up all night and apparently so was Dr. Bloom, who did an amazing job caring for my dog! The entire staff are amazing people! I will be coming back in the future for all of my dogs needs.
I’ve taken my dog here a few times now due to seizures and they’ve been really helpful. The staff are all friendly and the prices are reasonable. They have also been upfront on pricing before taking next steps so I know what I’m saying yes to. Dr Welch is one of the best vets I’ve used. She’s very knowledgeable and an excellent communicator.
Dr. Welch and the team at I-20 Animal Medical Center took excellent care of our chihuahua Violet when she woke us up vomiting blood. They recommended Care Credit to help us pay for ICU services to get Violet the medical attention she needed. We received frequent updates and clear instructions on her at home care. Were so thankful they could help us! My sister recommended them after receiving wonderful care for her own pup.
DONT USE THIS HOSPITAL-GO ANYWHERE ELSE.Just walking in with my cat I was asked to pay an initial $134. which I did willingly. We kept getting bumped due to other emergencies which they prioritized more urgent than my cat so I was there 4 1/2 hours arriving May 27th and leaving at 3:30 the next morning. My cats bill was almost $500. with antibiotics and 2 other medications and there was blood drawn to test for what kind of infection if it was one, my cat was suffering from. We were told to isolate my cat from the other pets until we see what he has. 7 days later, after Ive called every day, Im told only the vet can give me test results. Each day Im told the vet will get back with me. Makes me wonder now if they actually did draw blood. I will drive farther to the next emergency hospital next time.Update:Called them on day 8 to get a refund on the blood work that I never got a call about. Asked for the manager, Ashley, and she said she was not authorized to give me a refund and was not professional to talk to. Turns out the vet left for vacation after seeing my cat and wasnt due back until Sunday 6/6 at 7:00pm. If I had been informed originally that our blood work would not be available for 9 days, I wouldve gone to our regular vets and had it done there at probably half the cost! The vet tech led me to believe I would here from them in 24 hrs. I am seeking a refund on the blood work only, but I was told I would not get it because the tests were run. Instead of focusing on what I brought my cat in for, they ran a recommended list of everything they he supposedly needed that was over $1200. I had to decide what I thought was necessary. The tech told me to pic from that list what I wanted to do. The intended upsell was ridiculous when you are most vulerable with a sick pet!
Doctor Wilson and nurse amber are who we see all the time and we just love them to pieces. I brought my puppy in for an emergency visit when he was 4 weeks old and we saw doctor Wilson. We fell in love with her caring heart and the love and concern she showed when we were new fur parents and in total destress. Nurse Amber constantly shows soooo much compassion as well. I honestly cannot see having my fur baby go anywhere else. The office and exam rooms are always very clean as well. My puppy is now 14 weeks old and we have had three routine appointments since❤️
Dr. Bloom has been super helpful with my dogs surgery recovery. Her staff assisted with any questions I had with my dogs medication treatment. Theyve kept contact with me throughout the whole recovery making sure Princess is doing well. This place was recommended by another emergency hospital when it turned out Princess needed dental surgery. Im grateful to have worked with them during a difficult time.
We have been taking our dogs here for about 13 years and they always give us the best care they can. We trust them to take good care of our animals both in emergencies and routine senior care. Dr. Bloom is an amazing dentist. They really care about the animals they treat. They care about the animals comfort so much that the antibiotics they sent home for our pom are butterscotch flavored.
Seven hours. Ive been here for 7 hours and no one has looked at my dog. He cant stand up without being in pain, he cries when he bends his leg. One staff member with long straight burgundy hair (taller girl)acted like it was not a big deal. The other staff members were at least more sympathetic. Im still waiting to be seen. Hour 7.
The is the worst run establishment. I called on 2 separately occasion to have a pet seen. I inquired when a good time to stop by. I am sorry we cant tell you that but we except walking. First time I changed my mind. Today I called and drove a half hour with my dog to be seen. I went and was arrived in the system and the time was marked I arrived at 1038. I was then told to wait in the car. I ask the lady if she could give me an idea on how long a wait. She tells me all rooms are filled and two people before me which I could see them waiting in the waiting room. I said so I am sure if a emergency comes in first they are seen and she said yes and then she tells me and also anyone with an appointment. Why wasnt I told on the phone when I called you can make an appointment I called on 2 separate occasions and neither time did she bother to tell me you can make an appointment only when she sent me to my car did she mention if I got tired of waiting I could make an appointment and come back. I went to my car and was looking to see if I could figure out what their wait time was. only then did I discover they take appointments from 8 am to 8 pm. And also deal with emergency. I am so happy after 10 minutes I left and went home. I never called inside to tell them I was leaving I wanted to see how long my wait was going to be needless to say she called my 4 hours later. Never once called to check on me or my dog. I have never experienced such poor customer service or care in my entire life I cant belive the gual that she really expected me to wait four hours. There is no vetinerany in the world that is worth this type abuse. If your an emergency clinic then be that. If you say walk in then deal with the walk in a timely manor dont expect the animal patient and their owner to wait outside until you have no patient before you will see them. That is wrong on so many levels it is plain wrong. If you except appointments then tell ever single person that calls and inquires you do appointments. I was referred to this establishment by bridge street animal clinic. You would think you would be honest with a client that gets referred to you by another vet. Save yourself a lot of aggravation do not and I mean do not ever take your dog to this establishment as a walking. They will only see you when they have no other patient. That is the poorest care ever. And the worst way to aquire new1 patient if your so busy say so. Be Honest will all your prospective clients. If they treat new owners in this way I can just imagine what piss poor service they would have provided to my dog.
Dr. Kraft and the rest of the staff were so wonderful and comforting during our visit. My dog was attacked by another dog and had puncture wounds all over. They made sure to provide him with a mild anesthesia before they began any treatment to assure that he was comfortable. The doctor was very helpful in explaining everything they had done and what I needed to do for continued at-home care. The vet tech was very kind as well and assured us to call if I had any questions/ concerns, no matter what time it was.My family has taken the rest our pets here my entire life and have never had any complaints. Thank you I-20!
I highly re commend not using this vet if the lady I speak about in this review is still working there! The doctor and staff were all very good except for one person and it was enough to make a very bad situation even worse. I dont believe my dog could have been saved but the doctor did a good job trying. My dog have got hit by a car and I rushed into the hospital without even walk in my front door they put him in quickly as I called ahead and look like they did everything and then some to do what they could for my dog there came a lady about billing and how much it would cost she told me it would be atleast ****$5,000**** minimum if he were to survive through the night. Shortly after I arrived and they admitted my dog I was asked to pay $120. I did so and It was suggested that I download an app that they suggested and borrow 5k bucks. I didnt hesitate at least to be honest I would have paid $100,000! Best dog/friend I ever had. I told the lady that I needed to go home and lock my front door after being there for 3 hours she told me know you may not no! I was like really. This lady is telling me I may not leave the clinic. I said what the hecks going on here she said you wont come back if you leave I said youre mistaken and I stayed the dog soon got sicker and I had to make the call to put him to sleep since he was in so much pain. The lady with the half shaved head and alien like contact lenses told me that I had to pay another $350 that night right after I saw my best buddy ever die in front of me. I was mad of course and the large strange woman carried the box with my dog to my truck and left. Totally rude and classless lady she is. I soon discovered that she was one of the owners stepchildren. Very bad experience on top of a very bad experience. Ill never forget how nasty she was.
We arrived as walk in patients for our pup. He was lethargic all day had been throwing up and diarrhea. So we were extremely worried. We waited hours but didnt care as long as he got the care he needed. We were some of the last people at the clinic We left about 12:30 a.m. our vet tech was awesome with Easton, as in terms of helping us understand. However the same can not be said about the actual vet.He spoke to us in a rushed condescending manor through a lot of big numbers around about how much the care would cost but didnt really break anything down to us so that we can understand. Our tech ended up coming back in and walking us through care options and what would be needed financially. The vet first explanation to us was that he was sick and needed hospitalization and that itd be upwards of $3,000 cash, And at home treatment would not be a good option fast forward to I was approved for $1,000 scratch loan which Im now finding out that they only used about 500 of.The worst part of this all is when they brought Easton back into us after treatment he had fleas yes FLEAS. He wears a flea collar We took it off when they took him back for treatment, I called for the vet and he had a oh well type attitude towards the issue and I quote well we treat other animals here that have fleas what a sad and sorry response to giving a patient FLEAS, they gave me an edible for him to kill anything on his body and an extra but no real apology. Definitely our first and last visit.Easton is all better now thank God
I really love this Center. They take everything you say is wrong seriously and validate your theory and theirs. Lol!!! Its a little pricey, but well worth the cost. I am assured whenever I need to have my dog looked at, that they will give him the best care and love. You can tell they love what they do.
Notice a lot of 5 star reviews all within the last 3-4 weeks..... way to try to get your rating up. Maybe try being a decent vet clinic first.Brought my dog in for an emergency, rude staff on the phone, rude staff in person (lady yelled at me in the front lobby with other patrons present AND she was training someone), long wait times. I was told my dogs emergency took 4 hours to be seen because we didnt have an appointment...? But then had to wait almost an hour at my follow up appt. Staff also lied about the vet seeing my dog right now even though he wasnt actually seen for over an hour later. I could go on and on and into great detail, but basically dont go here unless every other 24 hr clinic is unavailable.
I was able to bring my very sick Bull Mastiff to 1-20. I had taken her to another vet who wasnt sure what was wrong with her. Dr. Kraft did an very thorough exam. Explained every step and every test. He showed me the X-rays, and Ultra Sounds. Thankfully he was there because my baby needed emergency surgery. The staff were very easy to deal with and worked to keep the bill to a level I could afford, and still gave my dog the excellent care she needed. I was very pleased and my girl is on the mend. I will recommend Dr. Kraft and I-20 Animal Medical Center, they saved my dogs life.
When my 7 year old German Shepherd was so disoriented and could hardly walk, I took her to this ER. The team was quick to get her into the ICU however I wasnt permitted to go with her and was alone for two and a half almost 3 hours in a room. While the staff checked in randomly and the doctor would pop in with treatment and progress updates I still wish I could have been around her more for my comfort than hers. Unfortunately I hit $1,000 pretty quick so I was not able to continue my stay for her treatment as the doctors would have liked. I am still not sure what was wrong with my dog as all the tests didnt prove helpful. I was advised that my dog may not make the next few days without medical round-the-clock attention but they were able to make her comfortable enough to come home. I am happy to report I was able to nurse her back to health myself ( because she was not allowing antibiotics to be given to her) and she is 100% back to normal. I wish I would not have spent $1,000 but I like to hope it jump started her recovery. I did receive a couple check in calls from the doctor, Who was very surprised she lived which is Another reason I wish I wouldnt have spent that much.
We care about our little dog. We know Dr. Welch and the folks at I-20 Animal Medical Center will go out of their way to give her the best care. Because of this, we drive over 100 miles to take her to I-20 Animal Medical Center. Recently, when she was in for a routine treatment, Dr. Welch discovered a condition that could have cost her her life. Fortunately, they were able to treat her and she is back to her normal, feisty self!
I visited this office yesterday and was not pleased with the techs that handled my dog. The vet was nice and understanding but the two vet techs I personally didnt care for. They need to work on the compassion part and understanding that its not about money. I felt like they were a little upset due to me choosing what I felt like what was best for MY 12 year old dog. From having and working in the animal field myself Im pretty familiar with procedures and whats needs to be done and what doesnt. Sorry I didnt want to put my dog under anesthesia and thats my choice to make. I also didnt like the fact that when I asked about the second option the vet offered me wasnt even presented when she came back to let me the cost. I had to ask her for the breakdown of that and she then proceeds to give a generic response. I could just get the feeling she didnt like my choice and thats fine. Another issue I had was that they take the dogs to another area which I did not like because I want to see and Know exactly what is being done. I only came because they were 24hr and my dog needed something done. I Love all my dogs as my children and I really didnt feel comfortable and I feel bad as a pet parent for allowing this visit here. Than the tech that brought my dog back to me wasnt any better just short and quick and just still having the same opinion as the first one. Just wasnt a good first time visit the rating is for the techs in the back the vet as I said before was super sweet and understanding. He understood I just needed my dog to be taken care of till she saw a her actual vet.
We took our puppy here and had her tested for parvo a few times because she was sick, not eating and was losing weight. Their tests came back negative both times and they said she had a blockage. Yesterday we took our girl to a different animal hospital and test results came back positive for parvo and she has a very slim chance of survival. I get things happen. However, when I call to ask what happened and why your tests would come back negative do not turn the blame on to us!!! I let the receptionist know that had they had caught it we would have done whatever we could to save her and then she turns around and puts blame on us for declining parvo treatments after THEY said the test was negative and that it WAS A BLOCKAGE. NEVER DO THAT TO ANYONE ESPECIALLY PEOPLE WHO ARE GRIEVING!! This place does not care about your animals. Dont waste your time!!
They did great with my dog but every time I spoke with the nurse or doctor they explained what was happening with my dog in extremely different ways. For example, the nurse would tell me my pups white blood count was really high and then the doctor would say its normal. This happened on 3 different occasions. All and all my pup got her problems fixed but I think the doctors and nurses stories should add up for the prices theyre charging....Also, phone staff would rush me off of the phone on multiple occasions.Im just happy my pup is back healthy. As a fellow business owner, what Ive stated above, are the things we need to hear to improve! Thank you i20 medical.
Was left in a room for three hours after a nurse took my pet and said tests would be run but three hours later i learned that my pet was just in the back somewhere suffering while no tests were being done, and i dont know if anyone who works there is aware about how everything they say can be heard through the door. While i was sick with worry, the workers in the back were talking very loudly about the food they were going to order and a convo about who is more stubborn. That is not something that anybody coming with their sick pets should have to overhear. Just plain unprofessional.
I had an emergency with one of my 6week old puppy’s not really being responsive. There is a hundred and something dollar fee before emergency service which I pay. The front desk lady Ashley ( she has a tattoo on her forearm of a compass) I believe her name is doesn’t seem to want to help. She immediately try’s to get another lady to take us so she doesn’t have to. She gave me papers to fill out with a dirty pen. She clearly took the pen out of the basket that’s labeled dirty pens. I happen to have my own so I don’t use it but during these times sanitizing is very important. I can’t say that she was just giving me horrible customer service. I literally watched her ignore or act annoyed while helping others. It was clear she did not want to be doing her job. I actually felt bad for the other girl whom she kept attempting to give her work to. I come to pick up my puppy and Ashley again is rude and when assisting us. Not to mention we waited 30mins an she had no one there. she realized the other lady was still helping someone so she had to assist us. I tell her I’m there to pick up she says with attitude well I’m waiting for the lady that just left but I guess I can. Mind you another 25min goes by and that lady still hasn’t come back. But I express concern about the charges she literally just walks off with out explanations. Suddenly another lady comes 20mins later. The whole customer service situation was horrible especially during an emergency. Someone finally goes and gets my puppy. What really was mind bottling to me is that she literally told me the exact opposite of what the doctor said to me in the room. To be safe I took her to a more reliable veterinarian in the am that actually cared. Especially since I received contradicting information. She’s doing great now thank god. But they have horrible customer service or maybe it was just that one woman either way she is a representative of them. They came off as money hungry and not knowledgeable. I’d never come back there after that horrible customer service experience. It was completely unprofessional receiving contradicting information with a little life on the line.
I took my dog in on Wednesday morning because he was breathing heavy and they said it was normal after we gave him his medicine and the doctor told me to continue to give them to him around 4:30 my dog stopped breathing only two minutes after we gave him his medicine!!!!!!!! Don’t let them inject your pets my dog was acting strange after they injected him with something.
They allowed an animal to be returned to someone who did not own the dog even after the police told them they were getting a warrant to seize the dog. The woman left the dog in the car with the windows up and civilians got the dog out and to the shelter. This woman and this place need to be responsible for this dog. Especially if something else happens to this dog. I will never bring my animal here again.
Very positive experience as far as their customer service and Vet practice go. I have taken all my animals there, there have been good circumstances in which our visit only required shots and regular examination, but there have also been times when circumstances were tough and extremely sad like the loss of my cat. They have always treated us with empathy, dignity, and respect, and I cannot express how much I appreciate that. We have always visited with Dr. Robinson and Dr. DeVore, but I have absolute trust in all their vets and vet techs. Thank you all so much for your knowledge and caring professionalism.
I live right next to Martin High School and we have two cats, one of which had some upper respiratory infections in the past and now some eye infection problems currently. Ive taken our cat to the Arlington Pet Care Hospital and the Jason-Little Road Animal Clinic in the past. Due to COVID and other factors, a lot of these vets have limited hours and most are not even open on Sundays. As part of contingency planning I was searching for nearby animal hospitals that might be open 24/7 to get situational awareness in case I ever needed to go to one for an unplanned emergency. While I was initially happy to see there is a nearby I-20 Animal Medical Center that is open 24/7 I became extremely dismayed after reading some of the negative reviews for this center. In particular, the review by Ashley Marie about her young puppy that came in with life threatening injuries that might have been saved had the center acted fast to save a life and help the puppy first rather than instead of refusing treatment until money was paid in full was certainty a poignant eye opener for me. While it is certainty possible the puppy might not have survived whatever traumatic injury it suffered despite immediate care, the fact that the center refused any and all help until they were first paid means that they value money about life, but not only that, in certain exigent circumstances -- for example in cases where time of the absolute essence, every second counts and money wasnt the issue but timely payment was a logistical problem (credit card machine down, bank false positive put a temporary hold on a customers debit/credit card who otherwise had plenty of money to pay for treatment etc) -- they betray the very cause of their existence and essentially commit fraud on the community by giving the conveyance of a emergency resource that can be counted on as a final resort when indeed had this false perception not been perpetuated very likely concerned pet owners in distress during emergency life&death circumstances could have saved their kitten or puppies life had they the foreknowledge to choose the right center and avoid the deathtraps... the ones such as this supposedly pet hospital Center who seems to value the certainty of money being cleared at the expense of losing the initiative of those precious moment and minutes during an emergency that once lost can never be gotten back... it is clear they have no empathy and no concept of the definition of an emergency... this is no more a pet hospital than it is a financial instrument masquerading under the false pretense of treating pets.
On Monday I took my best friend there who was very ill, they ran blood work and he had late stage kidney disease... They helped me relieve his suffering, they all were so compassionate especially the vet tech named Jade, she was so sweet and she treated Harley with care and love, Ill never forget it.
3 trips in 3 days to this substandard clinic to find out my Lola had heartworms. She had all the symptoms. Total cost $2500+...I immediately took her to A&M where she got the best critical care unit and cardiologist in the state of Texas for 3 days before she passed.. Total cost $2100..if you love your dog, go to College Station and skip this place.
We took our cat into this office. The doctor took a test to determine if our kitten had a ringworm. We had to call this doctor more than five times to get her to give us any feedback on the results of the test. We became so frustrated that my wife began to research online how to determine if our cat had a ringworm. Pretty simple with a UV Black Light. It must be nice to be able to charge people hundreds of dollars for nothing. We will never use this vet service again for any reason.
This place is a joke, they set appointments and tell you to leave and they will call and if you don’t get back in 10 minutes they bump you like you didn’t wait your time patiently. So 8 hours In no help for your animal and the Attitude of all the workers I can’t believe the place is even open still. I really thought this place was a good place and after reading the other current reviews I guess it’s all changed … greed is something else and if you want your animal to be seen do not go here…. I guess I need to find a real vet to go to from now on ,, Thanks for Nothing I 20 animal clinic your a absolute waste of time and way over priced
It took me awhile to be able to have enough courage to write a review on my horrible experience with this hospital. I want to say that I would definitely not put any stars but just to write a comment you have to so keep that in mind. My pup went through a traumatic injury that happened so quickly that I rushed him to the nearest hospital which was this one. As soon as I walk in my puppy is still breathing and holding on for dear life. As soon as I walk in I am crying for help and they take my pup right away. They asked me what happened and I began to tell them what happened. I was historical of course because my puppy is only 2 months old and is throwing up blood. Right after I told them the story they stated it would cost $90 just to see him. I had nothing on me because I rushed out the house helpless. I was able to get someone on the phone to pay for it. As soon as I paid the doctor came out and she didn’t even know the full story but automatically told me it was going to cost $3500 to get him fixed but he most likely wasn’t going to make it. I asked her if they can do whatever they can and I will find a way to pay for it I just wanted them to do anything they could and then I told her what happened. After I told the doctor the story she stated it would still cost around $2500 dollars after all the treatment and medicine. But for her to even try and save his life at that moment I needed to come up with $450. Mind you I had nothing on me and I didn’t have that amount just laying around. I applied for every loan I could and got denied. The whole time the doctor was just waiting on me to make a payment before she even looked at my pup again. She just kept asking me was I able to come up with the money and did I get approved and that his chances of living were little to none. After 45 mins of me doing everything I could she came back and told me he passed away. After 5 mins of me crying my eyes out a tech came in to ask me how was I going to pay for his cremation. Again all they care about is money. Not about how they could help my puppy. I went to multiple vets after this and asked and they all agree that his death could have been avoided if they tried to help my pup. It’s sad that this hospital only cares about money. What’s even worse a lot of people have went through this same situation at this same hospital. I know you guys read all the comments and respond with how you can better serve us for the next visit blah blah blah. Don’t even bother writing on my comment because there is nothing in this world you can say or do to bring my puppy back. If you are reading this please do not take your animal here for any reason all they are looking for is money.
**had a two star review but I downgraded it to one because of their narcissistic reply.**My Review: I am disheartened by this company for a few reasons. I dont particularly appreciate that the group chooses to share specific information about our office visit here in the review section. I called over concern for my pup, who was vomiting up blood. When I called, I explained I was relying on my partner to pick the bill up because I had experienced a substantial loss of income due to COVID. They shared how much an emergency visit was. It was apparent that money was a significant factor in getting him (our pup) the care he needed, and if I needed to make other calls, I would. At every step, I was real and honest about finances. I did expect to pay a little more for medication if it was determined necessary. I asked if my partner could pay by phone, which wasnt an issue. Yes, we walked out paying $297 as they said, but they sure as hell wanted to issue us expensive meds we found elsewhere for a much lower cost. And the findings from our visit were he has an upset stomach, nothing life-threatening that the group saw.On top of that, the group said our current choice of dog food wasnt the best when I said we have been on Nutrish for two months because of the change in income. Yep, they sure as hell tried to push the expensive dog food they carry, which would have put us another $200 over the $600. I said no to the dog food and then chatted with my guy about the $600 bill. That is where his $600 number comes into play. I-20 saying they see we were charged $297 is correct, but my whole experience with my visit was not pleasant. I heard them gossiping about our decisions and then came back in the room with body language and tone that came across as put out that I asked for a prescription to send into Chewy. Twice this company has pushed overly expensive items on us. Our first visit was odd, we were new clients, and I believe in the benefit of the doubt and that we all have off days. Our second visit was worse than the first. Our third visit, the one described here, was a combination of our first and second visits. Shaming language disguised as for your pups health while pushing overly priced medication and food that I-20 carries. You might want to shop around before using I-20s Animal Medical Center. I have already signed up with a different place. I felt like sharing my experience since the company likes to come back and say, BUT our records show this. To I-20 group: I, Bobbi, absolutely do not appreciate a single one of my interactions with your group at all, and I request that any specific details about our office visit not be shared moving forward.Gil’s Review (which can be seen below): “Stay as far away as possible! They wanted to charge over $600 for a visit with blood work just to say my dog had minor gastrointestinal issues and needed doggy heartburn meds. A tummy ache. Thats it. Over $600! Wanted to charge me DOUBLE what the meds cost at any other place! My friends dog needed emergency surgery after jumping through a plate glass window and it only cost him $800 at another vet in Mansfield! This place is a scam and are out to get every dollar possible.”Them: “Gil, I am sorry - I dont know what happened. I found your account and see where you were charged 297. I see the emergency appointment and the blood-work. Cerenia is terrific medicine for a tummy ache. We never know if its something worse so we try to check what we can to avoid making things worse. We have been working with pharmacy options since you posted this. I am not sure why our medications would be higher than other clinics but we truly appreciate you bringing it to our attention and hopefully we will get it fixed. Mostly we hope your baby is doing well.”
After spending close to $1000 and 3 visits, they hand you a bag of meds and expect you to do their job. I told the doctors and techs that my dog doesnt like taking meds or having her ears messed with, but they sent her home with all of that and more. After fighting with my dog and getting bit several times, I decided to call and take my dog back out there to be told they couldnt do anything and I would have to do the best I could. Needless to say, the meds are being administered when I can sneak them in.
This clinic is the best! One of our dogs was attacked by another a couple years ago, and Dr Bloom and the staff went over and beyond what I’d say a human doctor would even do for their patient.I live about an hour away, so our dogs saw a local vet for their regular care. After a bad experience there, on top of them not taking precautions for COVID, I chose to transfer care of all three of my dogs here. It was well worth the drive to come here.My experience today was a safe curbside service, and the staff was wonderful as always. I’m at high risk for complications from COVID, and it was a huge stress relief to know I can take care of my dogs without putting myself at risk. I’d drive here for veterinary care even if they were 2 hours away! I love this place ❤️
I didnt want to give any stars. I took my 5 month old kitten last night 10:50pm with fluids in the abdomen and heavy breathing. They came in at 4hrs later and asked how long his been breathing like that. I stated I told the front lady he had heavy breathing. They took him to ICU didnt even get to say bye. The doctor x-rays and said he has fluid in heart and abdomen. She gave me an estimate of 1600 to 1900 to keep him over 24hrs and of course I dont have that. She comes back stating all the money in the world wont save lets talk about putting him down. No let me take him home. The doctor then stated lets at least take the fluid. Now this is now 5am She comes back and tells me when taking out the needle his heart stop and they did Cpr and wanted to know if I wanted them to continue so I said yes. Not even a minute later she came back and he couldnt be revived. They killed my baby...they put him down. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BABIES TO THIS PLACE.
I called them at 9:04pm on 6/1/21 to ask about getting an X-ray on my dogs leg. They put me on the waiting list and said to bring her in. I arrived at 9:20pm and went into the lobby. They got my information and told me to wait in my vehicle.I was told they would call me when they had a room available. I waited in the parking lot until 10:25 and didn’t receive a call. I then called the main number and was told I was next and they would call me back shortly. I waited another 20 minutes and decided to leave.I called to let them know I couldn’t wait any longer, and no one answered the phone. I left about 10:45 to make the hour long drive home. They never called me back. Very disappointing that an emergency hospital would treat a customer like this. I have used them several times over the years, but wouldn’t use them again after this visit.
I had a late night emergency with my dog. And when I got there everyone was very nice. I didnt have to wait but a few minutes. I was a wreck, because my dog was not himself at all. Dr. Wilson had treated my dog. And Jade assisted. Everyone did a fantastic job. So my dog as I said was treated and I took him home. A few hours went by, and I felt there is something not right. I was told if I needed to I come back, that I could and I would not be charged as long as it was in a 24 hour period. And I did just that, and by that time Dr. Wilson had gone home. I apologise, but I cannot remember the other Veterinarian who helped me so much. Both doctors helped very much. As well as Jade. What a great group of people. I forgot the other persons name who helped as well. They all kept me at ease. Just seeing smiling faces was nice. Everything was explained very well. Everyone was knowledgeable. More places could learn from the I-20 Animal Medical Center. Oh, and my Chihuahua is doing so well now too. So I am so grateful for this place, and its doctors, Jade (going to have play guitar and jam with Jade sometime), and again, I apologise to the other person, I cannot remember her name, if I do, Ill come back and put her name, and the other Veterinarian. So if something ever happened to my Chihuahua again, I would definitely go to I-20 Animal Medical Center.
These people are all about the money and do not care about your animals, after driving all the way from Cedar Hill i was told there was going to be a 5 hour wait time for the doctor to see my dog, this so called emergency clinic just cares about getting as many dogs in as possible even if they short staffed. Leaving other dogs with real emergencies like mine in a limbo they should seriously rename this clinic and ERASE the emergency part off their name; if they are going to be short staffed and make you wait 5 hours or more.
Went today with my dog Charlie and had a very good experience. Dr and assistants were nice and I got my dog taken care of. When I left, I found my car battery was dead and could not leave, so I went back inside and one of the girls said she would get her jumper cables and help me get my car started. Her name is Tina and she was wonderful. It’s saved me a lot of trouble because she jumped my battery and I was able to go home without any problems. I would definitely go back there again and recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much Tina.
I had an excellent experience here with my beautiful Golden Retriever, Stella. We went to see Dr. Bloom after an ER visit in Burleson and two follow up appointments at our regular vet in Waxahachie. By this time I was extremely stressed over my dogs health and the fact that we had no answers- just suggestions for $2500 surgery to rule something out. Dr. Bloom took her time and explained it all to me and realized what the problem was that the other doctors didnt. She was so helpful and concerned for my dog as much as I was. She gave us expert attention and I am so grateful for her and the staff there. You can tell they really do care about your pet here. This will be my go-to place from now on. I cant thank them enough for taking care of my sweet girl.
The vet and staff did a great job taking care of our cat Lucky for an eye infection. They got us in on short notice, in the evening and hes doing so much better now.I loved the place - I think it used to be a church, it has beautiful stained glass when you walk in. The atmosphere is awesome, the cat examine room with the groovy cat mural on the wall. I knew we had been guided to the right place when I saw the Cat Angel statue.Thank you for taking good care of our cat, being caring and affordable.
I came to this place because my dog had an accident at first I called and asked for the price and tell them what happen ( she jumped from the back of my truck) they told be it would only be $80 for examination and if she has any broken bones or something it would add up, when I got their they looked at her and thank God she didn’t have anything, they send me back to a room and asked me what was my budget I said I only had $200, I thought to myself if their asking me it’s because they’ll try to stay in my budget or give me a discount , like for what else would they be asking, to my surprise when they give me the bill it was almost $400. Why ask if you are not going to help
Our dog experienced a medical emergency. The staff saw her promptly and she received a quick diagnosis and emergency surgery within 2 hours, ultimately saving her life. The staff were very compassionate and understanding. They took time to answer our questions, allowed us to visit her at all hours, and followed up with a phone call post discharge. Thank you for your great service and thank you for giving us more time with our baby!
I brought my sweet Jerry Lee in with Bloat/GDV although I did not know what it was at the time. It required emergency surgery. Although he did not survive Dr. Hubbard did everything she could to save him. I think its very telling when a veteran has enough compassion to cry with you on the phone because sometimes all your effort just isnt enough. They dropped everything to get him in and seen and I do not fault them for his passing. The only critique I would have is that I spent almost 30-45 minutes to try and secure financing up front for the surgery that likely would not have made a difference in the outcome. I do understand why but its very distressing to know your pet is critical and needs immediate care but not untill you pay. Also, Brittany who I spoke with several times was very knowledgeable, helpful and compassionate through the whole process.
Been a long time since Ive been to I-20 but I would gladly take my pets there and have in the past. 3 other vets failed to diagnose my girl Molly properly. Dr Welch was able to diagnose a very rare fungal infection that we were able to manage until we had to let her go. When we did, Dr Welch met us in the parking lot where we got to say goodbye to her under a beautiful tree. Also took my cocker spaniel Lucy there for many years when Dr Paulson was on site for glaucoma. All the staff treated my animals well.
I brought my dog in to have a skin tag removed. I was blown away from the minute I walked in the door to the time I left. First, the clinic was beautiful and immaculate. Then, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Dr. Stinson was so personable and talked through everything with me, which totally put me at ease. I was given very clear instructions and treated very respectfully each and every time I had a question. This was by far one of the best veterinary service experiences Ive had in the 20+ years Ive owned animals. I will continue to take my dog to I-20 and will definitely recommend to all my friends.
I took my cat Storm, here for an emergency visit. She was in a lot of pain and panting and could not walk. They took her back and immediately was able to diagnose her within 15 minutes of exam. They talked to me about the condition and I was able to make the decision that her prognosis was not good. The vet seemed knowledgeable and friendly and made me comfortable. I am sad to see my cat go, but Im glad they were honest and upfront and there were not a lot of diagnostic tests needed to confirm her condition. I liked the staff so much I am thinking about bringing my other cat in for a check up and dental work.
My account is under Pam Chandler. Early Saturday morning my cat Sumo began having seizures. It was a sudden onset as she had no history of seizures. I was devastated that my own local vet clinic told me they were booked and I would have to take her elsewhere. My previous vet (when I lived in Dallas) was also booked but said they would definitely see her. I worried about the long drive to Dallas with her condition. I called/brought her here and they were incredibly kind and supportive. Given her advanced age and the poor prognosis I decided to have her euthanized. It was a terrible morning but Dr. Welch and her staff were wonderful. Thank you for your kind words that day and the sweet card you sent.
This Animal clinic has a excellent friendly staff. Woke up and my fur baby Oliver could not walk. He could not even stand. His back legs would not work at all. Even though my animal hospital was open they declined to see Oliver. I was in shock. I just moved here from Baltimore, Maryland and my vet there would never decline to see my animals if they were sick. As soon as I arrived I explained my pet could not walk. Four staff members came out with a cart to get him into the clinic. After talking with the doctor we decided to euthanize. Our baby was old and almost blind. With him not being able to even stand I didnt want him to suffer. When the time came I was able to hold him and talk to him. I want to thank the entire staff and Dr. Hubka for your kindness.
Best place to take your furry family members hands down! Weve been taking our dogs (and rescue foster dogs) here for years and I cant say enough good things about the staff and facilities. The doctors are amazing and you can tell they absolutely love what they do. I love that they are open 24/7 because it never works out that your pets get sick during workday hours. We love boarding our dogs there because there are lots of great options for extra playtime, treats, and the kennels are super clean (believe me, Ive asked for a peek). My dogs are like family so I cant just drop them anywhere. I love the email reminders for my vaccinations and their costs are very reasonable.
Both of my dogs were so sick within a 2 day period that I was scared I was gonna lose both of them. I took them here and had a wonderful experience. The techs were all wonderful and sweet, Sarah was so kind and loved on my babies. Dr. Stinson was very kind as well and listened to and answered all of our questions. A day later and my babies feel so much better and I am so grateful to the staff that helped us out. Thank you, when and if my dogs are sick again I will come here.
This place gave me used car salesman vibes. They failed to mention my little girl needed a MRI & it would take months to do until I was 1k into the bill. They made my baby suffer longer than she should’ve. Absolutely disgusted with this place. Do not take your animal there for an emergency.
I went in the hospital in the middle of the night with my three day old pup. Paid $120.00 + to have my baby examine. 5-10 minutes later the vet told me to come to the back. Her response was she have labored breathing and weak suckle. But, she said shes to young to tell whats wrong, then told me for $977.00 they keep her for a few days draw blood, run x-ray, and put on a feeding schedule. Then sje said the x-ray probably would show nothing. And, she might be dying while in their care. So I purchase a bottle with milk substitute/replace. After home I looked my pup over. The labored breathing and cut on tongue probably from her mom. My pup was in pain!!! Now, how is it that the vet missed that?? Or was she even examined at all? Very nice/pleasant staff, but need more experience, training, and knowledge regarding puppies.
Took my dog to vet and they didn’t even give him a check up or physical exam, just gave him 2 vaccines and medicine. And my vet was HORRIBLE! When I said that I didn’t want to pay thousands of dollars they commented “you know I would’ve paid thousands of dollars but that’s you”. Later on my dog had a seizure and we had to put him down. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE IF YOU WANT THEM TO LIVE
STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC!! THIS IS A PET FUNERAL HOME!!Our beloved cat Sasha of 11 years was having urinating problems beginning the Mother’s Day weekend on Saturday. He was completely blocked that weekend and we had no choice but to take him to this veterinarian hospital to try to save him as nothing nearby was open. Being a holiday, the only clinic available was the I-20 clinic in Western Arlington. What a mistake was this place! After the vet had examined him, he stated that our only option was extensive blood work, x-rays, placing a catheter under sedation, hospital stay, all at a cost of around $3000! My wife had a good friend that was a vet out of town and said that we could demand a simple catheter to be placed to unblock the cat and that the blood work, hospital stay, and e-rays were not necessary. The cost of the catheter should have been a maximum of $400.00, but after we insisted on only the catheter, they DIDNT want to lover the price below $800.00, still a gouge! We paid this amount anyway and Sasha was euthanized that night. We were told that he aspirated, bad breathing, bleeding in the urine, and that they said to try to save him would require several thousand dollars more. Due to their lack of caring, we feel that they could have done a lot more to save our cat than was done. It is quite obvious that the charges of care for a pet are exorbitant and that they only care about draining one’s wallet and not particularly about saving the animal from death. We feel like something should be done with these dishonest people! Our reply to the clinics response:In the first place, your prices are 2 to 3 times higher than most other pet clinics charge running into the thousands of dollars for a standard procedure. The only option we were told was to get x-rays, scans, blood work, etc. in lieu of a catheter procedure only which might have saved our cat if done on our first visit, amounting only to $800.00 hundred dollars. We were told to preform all of these other test which we feel like were totally unnecessary to make this life saving procedure to just get him drained. Furthermore, we were NEVER quoted $400.00 or $500.00 for ANY procedure! We were NEVER offered the option to have him only catheterized! Sashas diet could be changed to prevent further blockages from occurring, but absolutely nothing was said regarding this that might have been helpful! I just find a lack of caring here! You have many other similar bad reviews posted currently, so we are not the only ones that feel like we were short handed. He might have been just another cat for you, but Sasha was like a member of the family to us.
Took my teacup chihuahua to i20 for boarding. We provided the food, toys, clothes and bed, They never once told us that she needed an Influenza shot but I had no time to find another place so i accepted. At the end of one of the papers that they made me sign they the option to give them your phone number and they would text you and send you pictures of your dog through her stay. 2 days had passed and I had received nothing so I decided to call and check up on my dog. I asked the secretary why I was not receiving any updates of my dog and she said she hadnt put that information in the computer yet so I asked her if she could please add it. She did tell me my dog was okay and was doing fine. Through out my dogs 9 nights of her stay I only received 1 picture of her. When we finally picked her up one of the nurses said we could not see her yet, we had to pay first. The bill had random additional items listed like treats and extra walking. They never once asked me about this but honestly in that moment I was tired from the flight that I did not feel like arguing and also I really wanted to see my dog, so i just payed. As soon as we left I put her on the ground so she could stretch her legs. I start noticing that shes dizzy and not able to walk, so i assumed she was just hungry, As soon as I get home I feed her and she ate her whole plate so quickly that it made me think that she was not being fed well. She also had diarrhea for a few days and was always flinching when I tried to pet her. If you love your dog stay away from that place. Theyre greedy, rude and do not care about your pet
The staff and doctors at the I-20 clinic are very kind, caring, and extremely helpful people. Ive been impressed every time I go there. Last friday my baby girl had spay surgery. They put a chip in for me AND asked me if I wanted the last of her baby teeth removed (to save time and money) since it wasnt likely they were going to fall out on their own. I appreciated that, since this is the first small dog Ive owned. (4lbs.)I was concerned about the surgery because she seems so tiny and I was afraid something might go wrong, but the Dr. and techs were very supportive, caring and informative. They eased my fears. I didnt want my baby to go thru any surprise pregnancies, so I went ahead with the surgery. I worried for nothing! Only three days after the surgery and she is ready to romp and play just like before! I have to curb her enthusiasm because she is supposed to be calm and careful for another couple days. Im very happy with the wonderful care the medical center gave my baby girl. I recommend the I-20 Animal Medical Center to EVERYONE!
I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Zimmerman. She has been so great throughout our whole ordeal. Our dog injured her arm pretty badly right at the beginning of this whole shelter in place thing and had to have surgery and then had to have a second surgery when some of the tissue died. Which is common after trauma. She ended up with a big open wound, but Dr. Zimmerman checked on her often and helped walk us through taking care of the wound. She was very available and thorough. When we first came here we weren’t so sure because depending on who answers the phone they’re not always the friendliest or most helpful, but some of them are great so it just depends. But Dr. Zimmerman has been such a blessing and has actually helped us out considerably and all of the techs that come get the dogs have been so great and friendly as well. Everyone is very knowledgeable and I am so glad they were here when we needed them and they have taken such good care of Dakota!
If you choose to go here please proceed with caution for your pets sake. If I could give zero stars thats what they would get! Very unprofessional! They wouldnt let me stay with my cat, they took her to the back. My pets are like my children and I never left my child alone with the doctor but this vet expects me to leave my pet alone! Then they treated my cat without authorization and wanted to charge an exorbitant amount! Very unsatisfied and worried for all the animals that cant talk and tell us what these horrible people did to them!
I had two siamese mix cats. After 6 weeks of treatment at HSNT in Fort Worth, my female passed away from her cancer on 4/10. Later that evening, my male began throwing up/diarrhea and refusing food. I called I-20 medical center the next morning (Saturday), and told them I wanted to bring him in as a precaution, and told them the whole story about the other cat since I know grief can be a factor. I did request blood work as a precaution. That was my choice. Due to Covid-19, they take the animals in while you wait in the car. A few hours later, they tell me everything is normal, but elevated amylase means gastroenteritis/pancreatis. They send me home with 4 prescriptions. Monday, there is very little to no change...I make an appointment with my vet for Tuesday. That night I realize that my cat hasnt used the litter box all day. I call I-20 - they tell me he may have an obstructed bladder and that it cant wait until morning for my vet. I rush him there and sit in the car until 1:30 in the morning. They say hes fine, just a UTI...give him 3 MORE prescriptions. Total for two visits = 852.16. My vet requests the records...they get records for first visit only. My vet calls me and immediately stops the gastroenteritis meds - one is an OLD medication, not tolerated well by cats (lots of foaming/drool - it was terrible), one of them you can buy on Amazon for a fraction of the cost (pro-plan probiotic), one was a tapeworm med because doc saw flea dirt, but no other evidence of parasites, and one of them was essentially nexium. My cats elevated amylase was barely out of range...and was easily explained by stress due to the other cats death. My vet calls back to tell them that they are still missing records and they say that the doctor hasnt input them yet. Several hours later I call and request that they please send them before his follow up with my vet. Upon finally getting the records...my vet is surprised to see that they charged me for a urinalysis PLUS extra to get urine? (Cystocentesis - extra 35.00). He stopped those prescriptions too...one was a pain medication he didnt need, one was a smooth muscle relaxer that is OLD and a stretch at best for a UTI, and one was an anti-nausea med despite the fact that he hadnt thrown up since Friday? He stopped ALL of the meds (that I-20 just gave me).Long story short...I had 7 expensive prescriptions I didnt need. The only thing I-20 did correctly was the antibiotic injection for the UTI. All of the rest of it was fluff - unnecessary. I feel like I was taken advantage of - I was grieving my other cat and I was sitting in my car and they just handed me bags full of medication they said he needed. What my cat needed was a dexamethasone injection (steroid) to help reset his system and make him hungry/thirsty given his grief/depression with a little B12. My vet administered that yesterday...was 16.00 total. My cat was back to normal by the end of the day.Also...they are charging 56.50 for subcutaneous fluids - HSNT which is specialty/cancer hospital for pets, charges 20.00.My first bill was 436.24, my second was 415.92.All of his symptoms could have been treated with a steroid injection/B12/and the antibiotic injection - in one visit.I am giving them 2 stars because the technicians were kind, but I cant feel good about a place that is either intentionally driving up bills or that has uninformed, net-casting vets. Especially right now, when financial concerns are very real.
We made an appointment at 3:30pm. We made it there early. We tried to explain the issue and the nurse seemed to be having trouble remembering which foot we were talking about. We waited well over an hour and they seemed to not care so we left. Another 30 minutes went by and I suppose they discovered we were no longer in the room. They called my wife on the way home with an attitude. If you truly love your animals, do not take them here.
Very disappointed upset how they would not just refill prescriptions for my dog that Ive been taking him there for over 3 years!! Instead of 50$ office visit which NOBODY even touched him weighed, vitals NOTHING never touched him but were quick to hand me a 217.00$ bill! He was in pain and could not DIDNOT even TOUCH OR DO ANYTHING for him!! Very upset how they just blew us off after I intrusted in them to help us! I already know whats wrong with nono and this is not worth my time anymore. All I needed was his meds refilled and all your worried about is an office visit which you never even touched him much less came into the room
I absolutely LOVE I-20 Medical! I found out that my dog has a cleft palate and took her here and Dr. Bloom was the sweetest and most kind person I have ever met. She has taken my dog in like she is her own and has performed several surgeries on her. None have completely worked yet, but a dog with a cleft palate doesnt usually live as long as mine so not much research has been done on it so they are still working on figuring out a solution. They never give up and I take her in every month for check ups and they make sure she is okay in between surgeries. Everyone at the desk is so sweet and knows my dog so they all get excited to see her and they really are amazing. The manager is a doll and overall this place is awesome! Every doctor is very informed and you will not be disappointed.
My dog had ingested rat poison our exterminator had just put out. I was lucky and caught her doing it. I drove her from south Dallas County to this hospital.( I had experience with the staff previously when we had to put our other dog down who had cancer.) They were amazing then and they were tonight. They immediately took her back and began treating her. There was absolutely no delay. Dr. Hubka was her doctor had he knew exactly what to do. She returned home within a short amount of time and acted like nothing ever happened. The staff is absolutely wonderful here. I am so grateful for all they have done.
I have no idea what has happened to this place but I took my dog there years ago because of an after hours issue with an upset stomach. I’m still in complete shock after everything they put me through this time I went back for my Boston terrier that was having severe breathing problems. Every vet that looked at her there had something different to say. One of them said “oh well she’s just new out of school so isn’t seasoned yet”! If I didn’t waste my time dealing with those rude inconsiderate barely human people that work there my dog might still be alive today!!!! Oh yeah and that so called Dr. Welch is off her rocker!!! Yeah my mom & I had a mask on...... We were in the room with my dog and we were going over the bloodwork and everything else amongst ourselves from her last visit while no staff workers were in the room. We barely had our masks pulled down while we are looking at the paperwork and talking when this lady “Dr. Welch” started to walk in and screamed so loud oh no they don’t have masks on no way!!! But without my permission she reached down snatched my dog and while hitting her with the door and took her in to the back!!!!! I almost went screaming back there to tell her to give me back my dog but I couldn’t move because I was in such shock!!! Luckily enough a very nice guy named Zach came in to talk to me about what was going on & watched me bawl my eyes out!!!! After I put my dog in the car I was going back in to pay for the god awful visit.....and I guess there was a dog that just went in & got parvo all over the floor. As I walked in I stepped right into it and I thought maybe it was dog pee or some thing...... So as I walked through the second set of doors I finally see a cone saying wet or something but I couldn’t figure out what was going on cause the rude lady at the front yelled at me saying that’s PARVO!!!!! Can’t u see the cones??!!! I honestly can’t even remember what I said back to her because I was so livid!!! All I wanted to do was pay and get the F out of there!! After I finally asked 3 different people to print out my dogs appointment details.....I turned around to leave and they have bleach now all over the floor in the lobby. Basically I am leaving with Parvo & bleach all over a nice pair of my shoes to get into my car with my sick dog!!! I’m not a rocket scientist or anything but I dont think that’s gonna mix well!!! I had to take my shoes off to put in the trunk & drive home barefoot. Sadly that’s only a scratch of everything I went through with them in those 2 months of numerous appointments. After all of my issues I was expecting a call from Susan the main lady in charge but of course I didn’t! I pray that the better business bureau investigates them!!!! Please if anybody is reading this and needs to take your animal in after hours go to the one in Mansfield!!!!!
Ive had dogs all my life and have tried to give them the best medical care possible. My dogs are part of the family.Im convinced that Dr. Bonnie Bloom is the finest vet and dental specialist in Dallas - Ft. Worth. She uses cutting edge techniques that are used on human dental patients for her dog and cat patients. Dr. Bloom and Priscah Ogumbo (medical assistant) are the Dream Team in animal denistry.I drive from Uptown, Dallas to Arlington to take my dogs to Dr. Bloom at I 20 Vet Clinic. I trust Dr. Bloom and Priscah and know its not about money - they truly care! When my dog Patty developed a serious dental disease (ulcers in her mouth - repeatedly) at age 14, Dr. Bloom helped me manage the ulcers and did research - getting new medications from Texas A&M. Also, Patty needed 14 teeth pulled - she never showed that she was in pain and was eating soft food the very next day. Patty lived to 17 years old because of Dr. Bloom and Priscah. They even called and helped me the day she passed away.My other Italian Greyhound Julia still sees Dr. Bloom for her yearly dental cleanings, shots and for any other health issues that arise. I wanted to write this review to help other dog and cat owners (like me) that are looking for the very best vet to take their beloved pets to receive - the finest care for complex dental problems, excellent overall dental care, and yearly maintenance.Thank you, Dawn Carmichael
Im willing to bet that Ive owned more animals (pets and otherwise), of more varieties, over the years than about 99% of the population. Believe me when I say that Ive been to lots of different veterinarians across the State of Texas and have experienced quite a range of expertise. Recently, our exotic shorthair cat, Cheddar, was bitten by a rattlesnake on his leg. I cannot say enough good about how very EXCELLENT the entire staff at this facility has been. Drs. Kraft, Williams, Robinson, and others have all simply been fantastic to us. They have shown extreme care and compassion for our cat and have done all that they can to save him and his leg. We are happy to report that he is doing well today; and we know that it is due in very large part to these excellent professionals. All assistants have been so kind and caring; and the front desk staff is stellar. Are they expensive? Oh yes. Is our cat worth it to get the best care he can get? You bet. We are very grateful for these folks.
I’ve been bringing my pets here since the early 2000’s and mostly I have had good experiences . However the last 2 times I’ve been in the clinic the vets not the employees have been rude and short with me . The last time I was in I was looking at X-rays of my dog and another doctor ran into me and just kept going no excuse me get out of my way or nothing . I see this clinic is becoming more and more busy yearly . Please don’t loose sight of why you there . I really don’t want to seek out a new vet
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VET to clients who appreciate their own time. This vet has no respect to their clients time whatsoever! We initially chose them just for the fact that they are open 24/7, but we soon realized that they are extremely bad when it comes to honoring any of their appointment times, which defeats the purpose of being available 24/7.Thinking about it, I dont even remember one time when we were seen based on our actual appointment time. We always have to wait anywhere from 30 min up to 2hrs! This vet does a horrible job communicating with their clients. For some reason, they think its okay for their clients to come for an appointment they schedule upfront and wait, as if their clients dont value their time. They have been having these issues for years, well before COVID19, and now theyre trying to blame it on the pandemic. This is unfortunate from an administrative standpoint as we expeeienced no issues with their vets and techs.
My boyfriend and I took our poodle in after he was hit by a truck. The staff was very helpful since we were upset and crying. They took our dog to the emergency room and let us go into a room. They gave us an estimate for surgery and then kept us updated. SHe stayed in the hospital for two days and honestly it was a very reasonable cost. We were welcome to visit int he hospital and the staff was so nice. Cyndi and Mystery were taking care of her when we stopped in to visit.SHe did well. The staff called to check on her. I read the reviews and I am so thankful we didnt pay attention t them. These people were all so sweet and caring. Oh, and we even got a refund so they really not about money. Thank you staff at I-20 Animal Medical Center!
6 months ago, my 14 year old dog Parsons, had multiple seizures within an hour. On my way to rush him to the hospital, I called and they came running out when I pulled up. There was a comment made by a former employee, Colleen, about them asking for payment before treatment. Not remotely accurate . They took Parsons in, stabilized him and the next day I was able to bring him home. Dr. McCradic was very clear on what may happen with him and what to expect. The ladies up front were very kind to me.Yesterday I took Parsons in again because over night, he wouldnt eat. Dr. Robinson informed me he had tumors, showed me the xrays, laid out my options, and gave me time to make my decision. I decided to euthanize him to save him from more pain. She took extra steps to make sure i was comfortable with my decision. I buried him yesterday.I dont understand all the negative reviewers [some blatantly idiots that dont understand pricing and cost of these services]. I never paid for more than I needed, and received more than I paid.My only dog I have left will take the 30 minute drive to go see them, even with a very good vet 2 minutes away.Theyre good vets. Good people.
Fixed my dogs broken k9. Although it broke off again a month later. Then they fixed it again for free. And again, it came off about a month later. Im not taking my baby again. I do not like him being under anesthesia. He will just have to live with only 3 k9s. They tried I guess.
Stay as far away as possible! This place is a scam and are out to get every dollar possible.
Recently, my dog unexpectedly passed away. She was diagnosed with thyroid issue about 6 months ago or so. She lost weight and began to look healthy. However, a month before she passed away, she began to loss interested in her food that was prescribed by the vet. About 2 weeks ago, we began to noticed that she was having trouble sitting or laying down. So, we went back to the hospital to get her thyroid level check and whats the underlying cause of her discomfort. Dr. Robinson state that her thyroid levels is pretty high, we need to adjust the dosage. However, she failed to do proper check for physical discomfort relating to sitting/laying down. Her prognosis - physically she doesnt see anything wrong but we can do x-ray on the lower limb to detect any possibility of arthritis. My husband and I opt out not to do any x-ray on the lower limb bc their charges can cause you arm and length. 4 days after this appointment, we noticed my dog was having trouble breathing and continue to have discomfort laying down. We immediately took her to this place on the very next evening thinking she may have some kind of respiratory issue going on. This time, Dr. Robinson suggested to do x-ray on chest and on the lower limb, and we proceed with these testings. She diagnosed that my dogs lung were filled with fluids and she is not sure why. And she is in really pain, and suggested to us out to put her to sleep. Or , they can attempt to remove the fluids from her lungs. Desperately, being expensive we did not care how much, we ask them to proceed with further treatment to remove the fluids from her lungs. 20 mins later, we were told that they were not successfully able to remove any fluids instead in looks like my dog has been hemorrhaging internally. She could not give us a clear reason why. We decided to put her to sleep bc she was in lot of pain. However, my dog passed away before they can proceed with euthanization.I would not recommend this place to anyone unless its for an emergency and you have no choice but to take your sick pet after the clinic hours.First of all, Dr. Robinson missed her initial prognosis when we brought our concern to her 5 days before my dog passed away. She overlooked my dog symptoms. The night, my dog passed away, she was very prompt to help us out but it was too late. The staff that handle euthanization were insensitive. We were placed in back family to say our final good bye to our dog. However, the guy who was handling the euthanization said that its better if they take care of this in other room due to better lighting. And rolled my dying dog out of the room fast without being sensitive about the whole situation. Within 30 second we were informed that my dog passed away naturally before they can proceed with the euthanization. It literally break my heart how the euthanization staff handle the situation. I have another dog, who is a regular patient over here, and we spent thousands of dollars at this hospital because he is a diabetic. However, after this incident we will not continue with any follow up appointments with this hospital. We currently looking at some other hospital where staff are trained well to handle emergency case properly and the vet knows what they are doing.
Brought in my dog who was really sick and they diagnosed her with pancreatitis. We left her there for 2 days as that what was recommended, after 2 days I get a phone call saying my dog is doing better and she was ready to get discharged. We bring her home and she seems worse than when we brought her in, throwing up, having trouble breathing, no energy. The question I had was why was she sent home if she clearly was not better. I still have the voicemail saying she was doing a lot better and ready to be discharged. I noticed from the time she came home that she seemed more of the same than anything better. Made me feel like it’s only about the money for them. When I asked why she was sent home when she was not better no one could give me a clear answer. All her symptoms got worse and I took a leap of faith and brought her back and Left her there for another 3 days and they were unable to solve the issue with her pancreatitis. I know my dog was terribly sick and the veterinarians tried there best but the whole sending her home he first time runs me the wrong way.Ended up having to let my beloved princess go last night and seeing another vet and a vet specialist . And today i came to pick up my dogs bed and blankets as they said they were washing it when she was discharged as to why she didn’t have it when we brought her home for the final time from this place. They could only find her bed and when I asked about the blanket they said they couldn’t find it and there wasn’t anything they could do unless they find it. That blanket was my dogs favorite blanket and it means a lot to my family and I and are sad they lost our stuff. And to be honest they didn’t seem to care when I said it meant a lot to me and would like it back. Wouldn’t recommend bringing your beloved pets here or at least be thorough with your options.
Today was an extremely difficult day for my partner and I. We unfortunately had to lay our baby girl Abigail May Madrid to rest. The room they have setup was not some cold room and didnt look like an exam room. It was in fact quite warm and loving and it made Abigail comfortable we were even allowed to bring her comforter into the room. They allowed my partner as much time to say his final goodbyes both before and after she was laid to rest. The staff was so kind and they even helped take pictures of Simon with her before we let her go. We have had her for a very long time and its going to be really hard to adjust without her. Thank you to the staff and veterinarians at I-20 Animal Medical Center for your patience and kindness.P.S. To all the people I see whining and bitching about cost. If you cant afford to pay for the very best care for your fur baby maybe you shouldnt have a fur baby to begin with. You treat your fur babies like they are your children. If you want the best care possible you go to a place like this knowing they have everything they need in house to give your baby the best care they can get!
They were able to take me in almost 30 minutes earlier then my appointment was set for. They were extremely nice and took great care of my fur baby. They awnsered all the questions I had. They went over everything in full detail to help me understand what was going on with my pup. She is already starting to feel better and be herself again. Thank you so much! The staff is wonderful!
At 2:00 am on a Sunday morning, my son-in-law drove quite a distant to take my terrier mix, fifteen year old, very loved dog in to have her treated for grand mal seizuring. She had never had a seizure and I was very, very concerned. We were met by such support and concern from all of the staff and especially Dr. Patrick Hubka. After a thorough exam, it was decided that our sweet girl would stay at the clinic for 24 hours while the staff administered phenobarbital intravenously and monitored her for further possible seizures. That being said, the staff also was very willing to discuss and describe other possible scenarios and encouraged questions and phone calls to either check on our pup or to ask questions. When I picked her up to take her home, Dr. Jeremy Knight followed through with the same level of attendance that we received prior. I am so impressed with this clinic and its staff. Because of our situation, the services were pricey but I feel that was because we were in an emergency situation and our pup required excessive attention. These folks are knowledgeable and, I think, use best practice with their patients. Our family is very grateful for the special attention given to our beloved pet.
This place is HORRIBLE!!!!!! They are more concern with making you pay high prices without caring for your pet. I brought my dog in after midnight because she was having seizures. They quoted me 1,300 dollars to stabilize her and get her treated. Because I was unable to pay right then and there (even though she was still currently seizing ) they pretty much had nothing more to with me or my dog. After she kept having seizures all morning long she ended up dying that morning. Had they just tried to help me she would still be alive. I thought this was an emergency hospital. I will never recommend them to anyone. This just happen this past Sunday. My baby died 4/9/2017. I wish I could make a review without giving them a rate
DO NOT TAKE your pet to this hospital. They lie, they clearly are not genuinely concerned or interested in the care of animals. We arrived at the location at 12:40pm, parked in the numbered parking space 9. Called to let them know we had an emergency, our pet was showing symptoms of parvo. Spoke with “Madison” who took our information and said they would call us once a room was available. Naturally, we expected a wait, but not one to exceed 30minutes to an hour. An hour later (1:40pm) after seeing a number of customers go in and out, we called to get an update, we were told they called and spoke to my husband to let us know a room was available, I never received such call and my husband was with me and looked as dumbfounded as me. We had no choice but to continue our wait. After another 30 minutes, at 2:20pm, I went inside to talk to them and get an update and at this point was told that they “had to take the emergency situations first, then the appointments, and last the walk ins.” This was very disappointing to say the least as I felt they were not giving our pet the same level of urgency as those they considered “emergencies.” To make matters worse, they then said they called me and were hung up on, at which point we asked why they didn’t come out to space #9 where we indicated we would be parked and she said she didn’t know why, but they were busy and just moved on to the next person. Mind you, that was not what they said originally, originally she said she “spoke to my husband.” She then proceeded to admit that they HAD in fact dialed the wrong number, but did nothing to rectify their mistake. Instead, we were told to continue waiting outside until a room became available, which could take 30minutes - several hours. Had we been told this from the beginning, we would have gone someplace else. This was by far one of the worst experiences I have had in terms of poor service. I’d give it a negative star if I could.
I had a very nice experience here. Ive been coming to I-20 for several years with my pets.I made an appointment and got right in.I brought Bart in for his allergies. Dr. Michael McCradic was our vet this day. He was very caring, amiable and attentive. He prescribed medication. He could probably made the appointment more expensive, but didnt.Overall, I experience was very good. The veterinary tech and the person that checked us out were also very nice and made sure the visit was a positive experience
I have lots of pets so weve had a few emergencies over the years that would happen after usual vet business hours and we would nervously arrive at I-20 worried about insane bills. Thank goodness the pricing was always reasonable. On our last recent emergency for one of my dogs Stella we decided to try a new ER vet in Fort Worth. After they gave me a psychotic estimate with no cheaper options we decided to leave and go back to I-20. I forgot his name but he is a young looking male vet who saw that we were in financial distress and gave us a few options where we chose one that worked out great and didnt cause us to skip paying our next mortgage. I will not cheat on I-20 for emergencies again!

2022-01-12I cannot say enough good things about this emergency vet clinic. I have taken my two chihuahuas for dental care, one for major dental surgery with Dr Bloom and the other who had to follow up because of a complication after a dental procedure with our local vet that could’ve been completely avoided had our regular vet given appropriate post surgical instructions. Definitely the vet you want to use for any dental needs. Dr Robinson helped with my chihuahua who has a tracheal collapse issue and was quick to respond when I called the office with a follow up question. The vet techs at this office are the absolute BEST. Dr Robinson and Bloom are so sweet and kind. Today I had to take our hedgehog for an emergent issue. Dr Kraft was wonderful. He was patient, thorough and respectful of my wishes. ALL of the staff were amazing and I can’t say thank you enough. On a side note, this is an emergency vet clinic. The wait times are much longer because of that. So please be patient. They are overworked and overrun and overwhelmed with all of their patients. They see patients based on acuity, just like an emergency room. That being said, I would rather wait and see these knowledgeable vets and their staff than be treated poorly at another vet that could see them sooner. They don’t turn people away and their prices make vet care actually affordable. Props to Everyone who works here. Y’all rock!!

2022-01-18Ive taken my dog here for as long as shes been alive (6 years) and the quality of care and service has gone down the drain. I always understood paying the outrages prices they charge but I thought it was for good quality service. However, already too many times Ive been proven how all they care about is the money ! For one my puppys vaccination card was filled out wrong so I almost double vaccinated her. If I hadnt called to randomly ask what vaccines she already had they would have not only charged me for it, also carelessly give unnecessary amount of vaccines! However, the latest most irritating thing is that I just found out that they have been giving my dog the wrong dose of Cytopoint. My last visit I made my typical appointment for it, ready to pay what I usually do. However, this visit was already very different. The receptionist was insistent on me getting my dog up to speed on a yearly check up and vaccines, yet I already did at a less costly place. Then the receptionist just took my dog, didnt weigh her in front of me or take me into a room with her like usual, barely spoke to me at all. I still didnt think much of it, then she comes back out with my dog and charges me more than usual. At that point is when I was confused. I pulled out my previous receipts and showed her how I usually pay less. So she explains to me and I quote Oh well they have been giving your dog the wrong dose but now that shell get the right dose it will give her more relief for longer. How is this okay?! For one, now Im so upset, feel taken advantage of and I dont trust them anymore ! She said she would speak to her managers yet not one time have they had the decency to call. So basically you were giving my dog the wrong dose just so I can come back sooner and pay. Two, you dont give her the dose in front of me, so how do I know you are even giving it to her? Three, so you dont discuss pricing anymore before treating a pet? What if I didnt have the money since it was more than I usually pay? Beyond unprofessional and deceptive, definitely a dishonest place. Take your money and service elsewhere !

2022-02-27We took our baby to the vet & was extremely nervous due to her being in labor & her first puppy passed. We met James! He was the best thing that could have happened to us! He checked on us the entire time, his customer service was Phenomenal & he went the extra mile to make us comfortable. He sent us home prepared & confident! This type of experience makes you feel like your money was well spent!

2022-06-27I can only imagine how tough it is working in emergency animal care but, I give all of my respect to the team at I-20 Animal Medical Center. I have visited multiple times with both of our animals and they are always so sweet and attentive and incredible patient. They have always listened to me and gave great care. With some of the other prices around town they are also quite affordable. You can see that the staff truly cares for the animals. As an emergency clinic, I highly recommend this location. I know my fur babies are in good hands when they are here.

2022-08-19We took our dog in due to him not acting like himself. We were told he has diabetes, no follow up, nothing. Just told give him insulin shots twice a day. Then when we got home we reviewed the bill. We were charged for blood work that was never done! We were with our dog the entire visit! We had to go back and ask for a refund. They refunded the money, but never apologized or took ownership. We went to Animal Health Care Center today for a second opinion and when the doctor requested records they said they couldn’t be sent. RUN FROM THIS PLACE THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY!! Go to Animal Health Care Center, DR. NEWTON IS AMAZING!!!

2022-05-18I had the worst experience with my 3 month old puppy. They had to put her down due to the fact THEY FORGOT to put a cone on her head smh they were not sorry they did not offer to do the surgery for free to fix her foot since it was their fault!!!!! She was robbed from life when when all they needed to do was put a cone on her head that we paid for!!!!!!! She was just a baby……I do not recommend this place at all😞😞 terrible experience.

2022-03-09Took our cat here she was having some pain and discomfort, they ran the care plan by us first before giving her treatment. I will not lie the total cost was a little bit painful but that’s to be expected from any vet place you go to. Their visit fee is very reasonable tho compared to other places. They do offer other options like a third party loan or credit card if you qualify so that’s nice. Was able to call and checkup on my fur baby any time I wanted, the staff is very kind and patient. I think they might have even taken her a bath, not 100% sure about that one but she came back home looking cleaner then when we took her lol.

2021-12-18I brought my 17 year old Dachshund here because she has a really bad tooth that needs to come out. Dr. Welch and the vet tech listened to me, answered all my questions, and took a huge weight off my shoulders. The tooth extraction is scheduled, my dog is on antibiotics, and I have a sense of peace. Thumbs up for the folks here! :)

2022-05-21Extreme wait times, a vet with distasteful attitude and severe lack of communication on treatment plan.We went in as a precaution for a puppy with diarrhea, despite being up to date on all vaccinations and no exposure to parvo or other serious parasite or infections. We were happy to get every test possible to rule out more serious conditions, however when all the tests came out negative we were treated as though our puppy was sick simply due to his good behavior for his breed. We were prescribed several medications and treatments without consultation or discussion of the treatment plan. We waited for 4+ hours even as the clinic cleared up for a $500 bill just to over medicate a puppy that is relatively healthy. I don’t blame the clinic overall, but Dr. Crystal Terry was the worst excuse for a vet I have seen in over 20 years.

2021-10-07Took my 9 month old puppy in today with severe intestinal issues. My normal vet was booked and told me to take her to an emergency clinic. She was seen very quickly, tests done and treatment plan in place at a reasonable cost (I was prepared to pay whatever because it is my baby).Vet and vet techs were top notch!Thank you.
