I am a 👑 & 💜luxury & blessed to be able to afford it, BUT, as my wealthy & pragmatic mother would say you dont have💰by throwing it away & thats what youre doing here! (1) A movie is a 🎦 there is nothing outstandingly better about the experience; I didnt see Top Gun Saturday 8/22 in even 3-D yet the general admission was $15 with NO senior discount, thats just disrespectful! Then to add insult to injury they impose a $2.00 booking fee they couldnt even give an explanation for it, as I was buying the tickets in person! Itd be less a blatant rip off to be honest & just charge $17 for the tickets! (2) The tray tables for the food dont come close enough to you to eat setting up straight, you must lean over upwards to be over it... Uncomfortable (3) speaking of which you are provided a blanket, but it does little to take off the sting & discomfort of how literally freezing in there it was! (4) At one of the crucial points in the film the waiter is bugging me for payment, repeatedly, because I couldnt find it in the darkness... unreal! (🆚 near the end of the movie, why not take the card info in the beginning, then only a signature would be needed later... duh!) I will Not be returning! On all, they should take a visit to and lesson from the Movie Eatery!!
I wanted to give this place one star because of how horrible the customer service was, but the movie experience was good. The blankets were nice, but other than that I’m never coming back. I lost my card last night and twenty minutes after leaving I called the theatre 20 times AND left a voicemail about my missing card. No response. I called this morning and finally got a response. That was three hours ago, when they told me that they’d talk to a manager and call me back. I then drove an hour out to the theatre and when I got there they told me that they hadn’t looked for it and that the manager was busy. THEY TOLD ME TO COME BACK… after telling them I live an hour away they went to look and no luck. I drove an hour away when this could’ve been handled on a phone call. The movie experience was good but please hire some new people!!
The film was fantastic. The bartender and bar was fantastic. The gal who sold us our tickets was fantastic. The place itself - once you head towards the screens - needs work. The bathroom was filthy (Im not exaggerating). And there was a broken down ice machine, on its side, just outside our theater, with dirty blankets stacked on it.For a $15 ticket, Id expect more.
Great theater and the food was superb; however, do not use the blankets they leave on the seats... I unrolled mine halfway through my movie because it was chilly in the theater, but the blanket was dirty and I ended up getting bitten over a dozen times by who knows what from the blanket... See the photos. It wasnt mosquitoes, maybe chiggers?? Theyre still itching 3 days later... Avoid the blankets!
We went to iPic tonight to see Too Gun. The facility is beautiful and has a cool vibe with a nice bar and really well kept and clean. The staff and management are great and accommodating. We got the chicken tenders, pizza and popcorn and all was really delicious. Def recommend!
The theater, the seats and the service were great. The food was absolutely terrible! I got a pizza, my son got chicken with fries and my husband got pizza with fries. The pizzas were disgusting and didnt taste right. My son got very sick from his chicken! 😵 For the price of our food, it should have been much better! We will not go back.
Very polite and knowledgeable staff, comfy seats, good food, it was awesome you have to go on a 2 person date here at least once, special seats let you have a low tone conversation without bothering other guests, (sound proof surround around seats) also they have blankets to borrow if your partner or you gets cold at the theater. It was awesome and my 1st time there, will definitely go back.
I really wanted to like IPIC but unfortunately the in theater service is close to non existent and the food came out cold. The staff all mentioned that theyre understaffed but management wont take on less showings. The bar service and drinks are top notch but i recommend getting food from somewhere else beforehand. Id also recommend getting up and going to the bar for drinks even in the middle of the movie.Hopefully IPIC gets their staffing situation figured out sooner than later or reduces showings.
Unclean. Terrible service. Obstructed view.We arrived 10 minutes before the start time to find some gross concoction in the cup holder (probably wet popcorn; looked like garlic). Pressed service button immediately. When our server had come half way through the previews, I went out to find someone and was told they would be right with us. This did not happen. I left the theater a second time, after the movie started, to speak to a manager so someone would finally clean the cup holder and take our order. When I finally settled in and reclined my seat, I found I had a partially obstructed view due to a railing.Awful all around.
Went to see Star Wars movie one time. The seats seemed comfy at first, though I was a little stitious... Wife sat on one, starting messing with the seat control to incline back, it kept going... and going... I thought it was going to stop for sure soon... nope, until it was almost flat!Well, she slept through the entire movie, dont blame her. Seats are just way too comfortable lol!Sound is great, theater is amazing, food is good, beer is great.
Awful experience at Ipic Domain. The theater was extremely warm. It was over 100 degrees outside and the theater was about 75-76 degrees. Never in the history of my life have I been to a theater that was warm, they are always ice cold. They recommend showing up 30 minutes prior to start time of the movie to get your food and drinks ordered. They didn’t open theater doors until five minutes before start time. Movie started at 4:20 and they opened doors at 4:15. I could overlook these two things but then our drinks (water and Sprite) came out 30 minutes after our food. I had to leave the theater and request a manager because of no assistance from wait staff and our help button being on. We’ll be sticking with Alamo Drafthouse from now on.
Really trying to be honest…minus star -chairs really not comfyMenu - disgusting 🤢 I ordered beyond cheeseburger and coffee latte. They bring me just INSTANT COFFEE! ( minus star )Can you believed it?! Instant! Burger was over fried and pickles with strange taste. ( minus star) will I come back -? Not sure
When we first walked into the lobby it looked very upscale with a really nice bar and seating area. Upon entering the theater though, we were very disappointed at the comfort of the recliners. They don’t recline as much and aren’t as comfortable as Moviehouse recliners. They were also very loud when changing the setting. We pulled our cup holders down and both were very dirty and one of them looked like it had been used as a spittoon. It was disgusting. Luckily I always stash a ziplock bag of Clorox wipes in my purse. We cleaned the cup holders and the table. The table was small and sat far away making it difficult to eat food. Now to the food- I had the prime rib sandwich with fries which was fine but my husband had the chicken wings and he let me try one and I couldn’t even eat it because it tasted way under cooked! My husband said he thought they were undercooked as well and I was very upset that he ate them anyway and didn’t send them back. I’m keeping my fingers crossed he doesn’t throw up later. The only positive thing about our IPIC experience was the movie itself. Nope is the best movie I’ve seen in a while. I thoroughly enjoyed it but next time I will go back to Moviehouse!
Just horrible! What happened to this place?? You want to charge 4 star service for a 1 star experience. My $17 wings were completely burnt. No dressing! Drinks came out after the food! Never offered a refill or even ask if we wanted to order more drinks. There quick to grab the check to get there tips but when they do leave all the dirty plates on our table. I will spend my money at Moviehouse eatery. Ipic you have lots of things to work on. Lots!!!
I had been wanting to visit iPic for a very long time and was SO disappointed. We are huge fans of Alamo drafthouse so we thought this would be comparable since it cost more, but it doesn’t at all. Alamo drafthouse is a million times better with one exception: the lounge recliners are more comfortable here and plushy. We arrive and our table is dirty with water all over it. There are crumbs in our seats that we had to dust off. The customer service was not good. The QR code on the table didn’t work for the menu, so we just googled the menu. The theater smelt funky and it just felt dirty. The food was okay at best and again, not nearly as good as Alamos. My significant other did not finish his popcorn because it tasted burnt at the bottom of the bag. How does the most expensive movie theater in the city mess up popcorn? A water did not come out with my food, but mid meal. This place was just a let down overall. Will not be returning. Also, some people in these reviews mention a blanket? I was not offered a blanket or saw them anywhere. I had to go out to my car to grab one in my trunk.
First movie theater in 2 years, very nice seating but that all you get. Took over 20 min to place drink order, 30 mins for wrong appetizers, 45 mins for correct but under cooked appetizers (still no drinks). We were going to order dinner but they never came back, I did finally get someone to refill my drink but that took 45 mins with the blue light on. I would say the blue call light was on maybe half the movie and no waiter. Spent $100 buck on date night and Im now at McDonald’s since nothing is open past 9pm on a Sunday!
Our server didn’t take our order until 45 minutes into us sitting down. Our movie got interrupted so that he could take our order. By the time we got our food half of the movie had played. The food was cold. They also didn’t bring out anyones tab until after the movie was over so a crowd of people had to wait outside after the movie was over to sign their check. Worst experience. Go to Alamo or just stay home.
Decided on a whim to go on a Monday date with my partner, and bought iPic tickets as a treat as we’d not been before and usually frequented Alamo Drafthouse. The theater on entrance felt unclean, grimy, and dated. We took our seats in theater 4 and realized the projector was unaligned with the screen and the volume exceptionally low. We alerted our server, ordered waters, and hoped the remainder of our time would be better spent. That didn’t happen. We placed an order for food 10 minutes or so into our movie and did not receive our order for over an hour and a half. We inquired with our server and she said she’d be back after she verified what’d happened in the kitchen. She didn’t return, and we felt as if we’d not mentioned the order, it’d have been entirely forgotten. Our food was eventually brought to us without silverware, napkins, or any style of apology. To top this, the bathroom smelled horrendous and there was an automatic sink dispenser hanging over a faucet. The experience and theater as a whole was horrible and we will not be returning. Alamo Drafthouse much more deservingly should benefit from our business.
My husband and I are frequent flyers at iPic so weve noticed the frequent changes of the popular theater. A few months ago, a worker passive aggressively criticized me for having 2 blankets. He cited the fees associated with cleaning them. My response was a smart one of course because quite frankly, thats not my concern. Well a few weeks later, blankets were no longer available. No, it wasnt because of me lol. On Mothers Day something quite strange and peculiar occurred. We arrived 15 min before seating only to discover the bar was closed. What?!?! And we were told the call buttons do not work and would have to wait to get serviced. We were the 2nd group of people in the theater and it took 26 min to get our order in. Unacceptable. Our server was great - she was phenomenal. But my problem is with management or whomever is now running this place. The prices have come down a bit BUT the service is at an all time low.
Let me start with they were understaffed and I’m totally understanding about that, but this had to be the worst service I’ve ever experienced in my life. I use to go to ipic frequently but I’ve moved closer to alamos so stopped going for a while. I returned tonight after about a year and I will surely not return. It started fine, the server came in a normal amount of time and was quite nice, we got our appetizer and drinks promptly. While eating our appetizer I overheard our server telling the people behind us that the kitchen was closing soon (which she had not informed us about) so I clicked the button to try to place our food order. After 10 minutes she never came by or entered our theater, so I clicked again trying to make sure we could get an order in before close, another 10 minutes and nothing but she came in to assist someone else so we asked if we could place an order. She then with an attitude told us the kitchen was closed and that she told us it was (which she didn’t) and that only the bar was open, so we tried to get refills. Well the refills never came, we tried to go to the bar after about 15 minutes and they said they were closed. I’m not sure why the couldn’t refill a sprite from a soda machine but anyways I have no words for how bad the service was tonight.
Went to the movies last night, and the customer service was not very good. I have ordered a Boss Burger to see with my movie and a beer with cookies, and chicken quesadillas for my date. My burger never arrived even after pushing the service call button I asked where my burger was and they stated it was coming in a RUDE OBNOXIOUS IMPOLITE way. So at the end of the movie never got my burger that I ordered and it was still on the check when received. I stated I never got theburger and they too it off the check. I had to get the manager to come and do it as the girls that were working that night didnt want to comply
Yesterday on lower middle tierI was verbally insulted twice . First I was called an idiot by a guy when I was trying to find my row in the dark. Sad part is I had to sit next to his girl to my left. I pushed button for service that didn’t come until 12 minutes later. Lady’s rude kid says out loud that she doesn’t want to sit near creepy guy meaning me because they sit right next to me on my right. Rude lady turns off my bright blue button. I informed Rude Lady that I had the button pushed to order 8 minutes earlier. On top of this, waiter cuts off button and assumes that the Rude Lady hit the button first and takes all three of their orders. I asked for refund and was denied. 12+ years I have been going here. Tomorrow, I will be canceling my membership.
We purchased our tickets online so our visit was contactless. When we first walked in we were warmly greeted by name, and they took our temperature. The theatre allows for space in-between other guests so I thought it was the ideal place to visit under the circumstances we are facing because of the virus. There was only one other couple in the theatre we were in. The young man taking our order brought us two bags of popcorn and later a soda that we asked for. He wore a mask the entire time. We took our trash to a bin they had on the way out of the theatre so they wouldn’t have to clean after us because it seemed like the right thing to do. The restroom was clean, the only thing I had to touch was the soap dispenser. I missed being able to get a blanket but understand they had to take measurements to keep us safe. I would highly recommend this place. Please plan ahead and take precautions to keep yourself and the IPIC team safe.
I was highly disappointed in our experience. We ordered a cider and Ultra to find out they were out of both. After settling on another beer we ordered a caprese salad which they didnt have mozzarella. We figured wed Share some Brussel sprouts instead and they were out of those too. Compared to other movie eateries it was nothing special just more expensive and they are out of everything.
Ipic USED to be the fancy place to be with absolutely great foods for being a theatre, however I feel some time recently this year,(2022) they decided to change management or something. The foods definitely just....eh now and thats a huuuuge step down from what and how they were. I not sure how often were going to be visiting them in the future. The fries are over salted, smaller portioned and rushed tasting...the burgers arent hot when they come out, pizza is more like a frozen meal. And the replacement for the loaded tots is just nasty 😒.Still have the best, cozy seats in town but its to the point were looking to go to another resturant before hand or just another theatre because we dont feel the desire to eat there ever again.
Sadly we keep trying to go back and give them a shot but last night we went and their food is just aweful. It’s actually past passable and right to nope. I tried the new chicken salad lettuce wraps. The lettuce was wilty and limp, there was chunks of chicken fat/skin in the chicken salad as well as bones! Seriously! That’s a big NOPE! From now on we’ll stick with the Moviehouse & Eatery, their food is actually good and they have reclining seats. Sorry IPIC but y’all really need to start over.
Ipic is the worst movie/eatery in central Texas. We were headed to Ipic from Liberty Hill when we got stuck in traffic due to a road closure on 183. We were late and they would not let us in. They put a credit on our account for a later date. When we finally were able to come back,They had no blankets, and our food and drinks did not come until over an hour into our movie. The seats and trays were so uncomfortable and falling apart - and disgusting/sticky. The waiters were so loud the entire time clanking dishes, and very rude.
Went to see Bullet Train on 08/26 my bf had the boss burger and loved it. I had the tuna cups, i should have known a movie theatre wouldnt have fresh tuna... It smelled and tasted very fishy and left me with a tummy ache. The Shirley temple didnt have enough grenadine and the biggest issue of all my server forgot to charge my gift card and instead charged my debit card so in turn he had to issue a charge back and then swipe the gift card. Its been 5 days and i still have yet to get the $66 back into my bank account. He was a polite enough server and had even joked that hed had a tendency to forget to use gift cards before credit cards but we even reminded him to use the gift card first when he came by to get the cards. It was an okay experience, i just wish theyd hurry up and give me my money back lol
I always have a great experience when I come to the IPIC theaters. I love their nachos grande that you can add steak to but I do wish they would put a little bit more steak than a few pieces. Their screens are pretty good sized for the size of the theater and I love that you can sit in your own little pod and not be around others. They have complementary blankets that you can pick up and use while you’re watching the movie. Another complaint I have is that their chairs have a lot of space between the neck and the chair which causes me to usually get two blankets to use one as a pillow because then you’ll be looking up at the ceiling.
The seats look like they would be very comfortable but arent. The angle of the screen is too low relative to the auditorium seating, so when we would recline our seats, the head of person in front of us would obstruct our view. The mac n cheese sticks taste awful. The volume was not adequate in our theater. The aisle running lights are located too high on the handrails, so that when I was sitting in my seat, they were still in my peripheral vision and shined in my eye throughout the movie. The cup holders that fold down from the sidewall are solid metal and dont allow for condensation drainage, so when I would go to pick up my drink, the bottom of the glass would start dripping profusely. They provide complimentary popcorn and blankets, but thats the least they could do for how expensive the tickets were. However, the staff was friendly and service was timely. Unfortunately, my wife and I were just really disappointed with our experience here overall.
My wife and I recently went here as part of our anniversary celebration. We hadnt been here before and thought it would be okay, but similar to Alamo Draft House and Flix Brewhouse. But we were wrong. While there are obvious similarities iPic is another level. We recommend splurging for the premium seats that are super comfortable, recline, and come with a pillow and blanket. It is worth the extra money for the almost at home experience. The food and drink selection was as good as Alamo and Flix though slightly more expensive. Regardless we had a great time and was definitely the highlight of our anniversary celebration. Not a theater we would go to on a regular basis, but perfect for a special occasion.
Loved the experience. Friendly service from the front desk to our server who did an amazing job. The only thing I have to say is that the food took too long to come (ordered before the movie started and it probably came half way though the movie) additionally we ordered popcorn which was super salty. We got it replaced but it was the same. Regardless, I will definitely come and try it once again.
Purchased tickets for the Austin cinema (Domain location) via app for one of their last showing and they canceled the showing without notification and we found out about it when we got there. The cinema was closed when we got there and we only got in because there were still some people playing pool who let us in. Refund wasnt issued until requested. This was our first time going to this place and I expected better for this company. There should be a notification alert within the app or call customers who made reservations if the theater is going to make such a bold move of canceling shows. This is not how you do business. You dont cancel shows and close your doors without notifying all parties who made reservations. Very unprofessional without consideration of people time.
Its like the business class experience for movie-goers. Really good movie watching experience. The theater has two seats joined together which share a small table. You can order food and drinks from your seats! They have a nice selection of both and the portion sizes are huge! The seats are very comfortable. They have reclining seats and they also provide blankets if you ask them. I would suggest booking the tickets in advance since there are lesser seats compared to other theaters in town.
While I love the chairs and the overall experience, I absolutely hate the food menu. Ive been quite a few times over the years and I dont know what it is but it feels like the menu has gone too upscale/fancy with deconstructed items and their take on theater dishes without really understanding their core audience member. The drinks are great but they could stand to stick with some traditional items on the food side.
IPic is the best movie theatre experience around. Excellent service and phenomenal food selection. I come here often and am never disappointed. Burger sliders, and ice cream sandwich are the best in my opinion. Great service and really quick as well. The upgraded booths are super comfortable and make it for a great viewing experience.
So bummed about this place. First off they DONT TAKE CASH. That was told to us when we arrived. Another policy they have I don’t agree with is they take your credit cards when you arrive and charge your card without getting an a check, approval of what you ordered, or knowing the price. They didn’t have popcorn (apologized), brought our coffee out cold and the soda with no ice (apologized). We ordered tator tots and they came out cold and with a rolled up napkin with no silverware (the apologized). To top it off the woman asked me steak or chicken and I was confused because I didn’t know it came with that so I said ok steak. Come to find out that was a 6 dollar extra charge. It was absolutely freezing, other people were loud and talking during the whole movie. We were charged 35.00 for tatortots a coffee and a soda without seeing a receipt first of course. I won’t be back. So disappointed.
So the bottom line I spent $72 for one person to see a movie and eat... OUCH!! Heres my breakdown and thoughts on iPic Austin at The Domain.Pros- Seats feel private- Table moves and has a call button and light- blanket and pillow with each seat- AMAZING sweet tea- big screen and very luxury feeling- free popcorn with the seat- awesome service- great menu with a variety to choose from including keto items (see menu in their app)Cons- sweet tea was $6.25- food was $27 and was cold and tasteless. They charged me $3 to swap to Sweet potato fries that were cold and soggy- not enough room for my legs to stretch out- seat was a little tight- did last call 45 mins into the movie. I wanted more but had already gotten my receipt- $28 to see a movie??? Why??- $45+ to join the loyalty program and get pretty much nothing in return...- parking is somewhat difficultIm sorry but I just keep thinking $72 for one person to see a movie and eat a very small amount of food. $27 got me a medium fry and 4 steak skewers and they were small. Ouch thats a lot to just see a movie. Not sure I can get past that regardless of all the Pros. They do offer a Keto Menu which you can access via their app. I do like their app a lot. Was easy to book my ticket and no convenience fee nor taxes. $28 straight which is nice. I rarely ever book online with Alamo, Movie House, Cinemark etc because of the added fees.Judge for yourself and at least come here once. For me I think its back to Movie House. They have the best seats ($12.99) and a great menu.Hope this helps
Server said they no longer include free popcorn with the seats as per their Covid policy.Wth? I watched The Batman back in March and there was popcorn included. Did the pandemic just begin in Apr 2022??Also, free popcorn = health hazard ... but if I pay $$$, its suddenly 👍??Load of bs.
Wow! Bad service. No one cares. After 40 minutes of arriving had to go find someone as we thought the call button wasn’t working. Actually - waiter was just on his phone. Service never improved all night long. Ordered things - never delivered. Wow! Just wow! Has been a regular for us. Will be hard pressed to return.
These guys finally updated their seats! I think it’s well worth the price now it’ll be another month before they get the buttons working to call your waiter but i’m just glad those old nasty seats are gone. I also noticed the drinks were much better they’re not the cheapest but they were worth paying for in comparison to the drinks I used to order in the past. I don’t know if the theater is under new management but they are definitely doing great things. I-pic is officially my favorite theater again in Austin.
I decided to go to I pic yesterday it was just too hot outside to do anything. It seemed I wasn’t the only one with the idea it was tough to find a seat last minute. But we did, the food was good everything was great but the SEATS this theatre has is seeming to be somewhat neglected they are supposed to be getting new seats in October then I think they deserve a five star review if they can just correct the seats.Update:The NEW SEATS are amazing. 5 Star establishment.
The customer service in this place has really gone downhill. I visited this Austin location; was the very FIRST people in our seats. A server came around and waited on ALL the people who came in AFTER we did; I thought to myself he’ll get to us. WRONG!!! NO ONE WOULD WAIT ON US!!! During the movie I had to continuously get up and go to the bar in the lobby to order items. I mentioned it to a manager and she was like “well I’m sorry” That’s it. I don’t know what is going on there. The only difference was the color of my skin; I say that because towards the latter part of the movie a black male came to ask if I wanted anything; the bartender reported that I wasn’t being served. Why does the color of the server matter? It matters because the original server was white who wouldn’t serve me, so they sent a black male. We used to visit this place often and never a problem but now I won’t be back.
Atmosphere was nice, seats were alright, the blanket was a really nice touch.Unfortunately, the food was terrible, even for a movie theater. My wife and I were having a nice time by the pool tables, had a beer on tap, then ordered a bottle to take with me into the movie. I ordered the beer I typically keep in my fridge, so as soon as I tasted it I knew something was off, I checked the label and it had expired! They did swap me for another beer free of charge, so no complaints about service.Once we sat down the servers were friendly, but the spicy tuna was more like canned and bland tuna, and the pizza was a little better than the cheap grocery store pizza, but not as good as the premium frozen pizzas... Movie was great but I cant credit that to the theater, I had a good time but not a theater I plan to return to. Order the chicken tenders, the guys next to us got them and they looked good!
Bad food and bad service, only went here because the movie I wanted to see was sold out at Alamo Drafthouse. We were 45 minutes into the movie before my drinks arrived. I would have happily gotten my own drinks from the bar but there were signs all over the bar that said “bar closed”. The margarita was gross.
Been a member since 2013, and I get called less than 5 hours before the show to be told that they had to cancel my reservation for “last minute technical difficulties”. Either I get refunded or move the reservation to a different date and time. No apology and no compensation whatsoever, we couldn’t watch a movie that night since all other cinemas were full. So disappointed. Talk about service quality. By the way, one of their policies quote that you can only get refunded when you cancel a show 6 hours before it starts. Yet, they went against it.
My husband and I love IPIC! That was our theater of choice before the pandemic and now its the only one we go to. We go at least 3 times a month. The two chair pods make us feel at home and the service is always great! Sometimes you just need to see a movie on the big screen and this is the place for us!
Update:Well, we went again and the one free refill for a fountain drink was not a thing anymore (I wonder if the first time it was just courtesy and not a rule). Also, they seem to put less in the Nachos grandes now. Low key disappointed.--------------------First time here and I was amazed. You can order from your seat and they actually bring your food. You can press a button anytime and someone will come assist you. We got the Nachos grandes (or something like that) and its a massive delicious plate, its a must try! Can easily feed 2 people (pictures dont do it justice). Also got the strawberry lemonade fountain drink, which was nothing like the typical fountain drinks you get at other places. It comes in a big glass and the taste is what you would expect in a luxurious restaurant. You also get one free refill which makes it worth it!Everything was great, will be coming back 👌
We waited 30 minutes into the movie (with the blue order button on) and not one waiter came to check on us. My husband finally went and told them we hadn’t been helped. 10 minutes after that, someone came and took our order. I told the front desk our experience after the movie, and she did take down the information, but questioned us as though it was somehow our fault we were ignored for the first 40 minutes of the showing. Extremely disappointed all around. Staff has gone downhill.
The seats were comfortable but the food was just okay. Would not recommend using the blankets they offer, they must not wash them more than once every six months because the one I was given was very dirty. My experience here wasnt unpleasant but i did think it was a bit overpriced.
We were very much looking forward to coming back but after 2 of our seating areas were extremely dirty we prob wont. Service was good but did not feel comfortable ordering anything to eat. Very disappointed as Ive been a member since 2011.Update: I have reached out twice and have yet to hear back from the manager.
Love this set up with a private slightly enclosed section, button to order foodservice, and comfortable chairs, with a minimum seating theater...great for covid protocols. Food was really hot, however, my Buffalo chicken spring rolls were too salty and the truffle fries, weren’t bad, just fried too crispy for my liking. I’d come here often if I was closer. it’s about $60 dollars a person for Ticket food/drinks
Showed up to watch the movie and the receptionist was in the middle of a phone call. She continued her phone call for about 2 minutes and then went to check me in and informed us she couldn’t because it was 2:17 and cutoff was 2:15 to let anyone in. Even though I was clearly there and waiting there was no exception and couldn’t give me tickets for later or a refund even though the phone call was what put us past 2:15. Her and the manger were both very rude:
Deeply disappointent tonight (02/26/2022) Ipic is our go-to movie theater and this time they didn’t have any kind of fountain sodas, no popcorn, no popcorn and and bunch of all other items on the menu, not the first time thou, but this time no drinks nor popcorn it was too much :(
Thouruoghly enjoyed our date night at this theater. We rarely go to movies, so this experience was beyond our expectations. Booth was comfortable, private, and clean. Leather recliners were very comfortable. Food and drinks were great. Wish we had one of these in my hometown. Worth the drive.
Great set-up, social distancing or not:) Comfortable seating with a table that can easily move out of the way and brilliant to put drink holders in the seating cubicles so you dont have to navigate them on the table. Food was excellent (tuna lettuce wraps, chicken drumettes) and the popcorn was hot. It was a great experience.
We had our showtime changed for the new 007 movie. Ive tried reaching out to IPIC since Saturday and havent heard back. Many calls and emails. If watch a movie there and eat the food its great, but if anything changed beforehand, forget about it, there is no customer service. Its nonexistent.Getting ahead of the please allow two business days. Its been 4.
My movie was cancelled and i wasn’t notified until i arrived for the movie. I was never refunded although they said they would do it a few days later . When I tried to call the place it sends me to a voicemail box that is full. I had to go all the way back to the theater only to be treated rudely by the manager and to be told the corporate office was working on it. I’m still waiting for my refund of 4 tickets. Horrible customer service.
I recently visited IPIC to watch The Conjuring 3. I have multiple food allergies and was concerned about eating at the theatre. The manager took down all my allergies and confirmed all my food was safe and even let me know that they were going to make a special side sauce for me so I could enjoy the edamame. They went out of the way to make sure my food was safe. I highly recommend visiting! I know I will be back again!! Incredible experience and the theatre itself was AMAZING! No other way to watch a movie!!
First time here and I see what the hype is about. The place is well thought out and the staff is super friendly. Enjoyed the interior design of the place and the attentiveness of our waitress (call button was being fixed in our room). We bought the VIP tickets to the movie and service was phenomenal. Free popcorn, blankets, and reclining leather chair. Well thought out. Though, I found the soundproofing did not work as I heard snoring from someone behind me halfway through the film. Oh well, cant win them all.Didnt have time to explore the bar menu, but Im sure I would have enjoyed the scotch/cognac selection. Ill be back to give an updated review on that.
Took a chance during COVID. Their seating is a 2 seater pod concept. Similar to American Airlines first class seating pods, except more intimate. For COVID, they blocked out some of the pods to increase spacing between patrons, so we felt even more secure. Ordered 2 tickets online. Seamless. Think price included a $4 service fee. They have a pool table and underground free parking.Upon arrival, they took our temperatures. Theater and restrooms clean, though carpet in our theater 3 had a strong chemical smell gave me a slight headache. Maybe something the carpet cleaner is using. We Ordered chicken fingers and fries. Wasnt on adult menu, but they had it. Think it cost @ $19. Maybe 5 chicken chunks. Food was served fresh. Complimentary popcorn was buttery and salty (a tad too salty for our palattes, but bearable). Overall good experience.
This was a really nice experience with comfortable recliners, a pillow and blanket, and food and drink service. The moment you check in, theres a professional check in process thats nice. The theater itself is nice, clean and very cold. They take care of this place which is nice. There are a couple of things that jumped out at me in trying to make this an amazing experience. The prices!! OMG, theyre expensive! theyre expensive for a nice restaurant and this is a theater. Its hard to enjoy the experience of the food though when youre watching a movie in the dark, knowing you just spent $16 for two tacos. I think the experience would be better if the prices were reasonable. After all, youre eating in the dark watching a movie. Its different than having a nice sit down experience with lighting were you can enjoy food and conversation. The second thing is it seemed a little distracting with food service, lights and people walking around during the movie. This is minor, but I did notice it. Overall I gave a four star. Its probably worth the experience if you can get over the $28 for a movie ticket.
The experience is great but they need to update their seats badly! (Leather would be more sanitary) The prices are pretty high compared to other dine in theaters. The food is good but not big portions. The drinks are very good! The ease of picking up the tickets is great (machine inside theater)
You will never want to attend a typical theater ever again after experiencing this place. I love this theatre! Food and drinks are delivered right to you while watching your favorite movie. The seats are comfortable and clean, and the environment is so serene and satisfying. You can also play pool, watch the game, have a drink in the lobby area. It’s perfect, and I always look forward in going back. My fiancé proposed to me outside the theatre which is also a nice social area, especially during Christmas.
I enjoy going here. The food is generally good to excellent. The seats are super comfy. My two complaints is that the seats are in pods of two, so if you have three people, someone will have to sit with a stranger. And, because of the wait-staff, the theater is brighter than a non-food theater. But those are pretty minor issues. The theater is always clean and they provide a pillow and a blankie for each seat.
I had the same problem that another person mentioned. I purchased tickets and it said my card was declined but I saw that I had the transaction pending in my bank. I never got a confirmation email so I called the theater multiple times and sent an email and no one ever responded! I purchased tickets from another theater and I’ll never be back to this one. Customer service is non existent so I’ll take my money somewhere else.
Simply the best moviegoing experience. Nothing else even comes close.Imagine luxury pods, five-star service and gourmet food while watching your favorite movies. That’s IPIC.It had been over a year since I’d been there when the pandemic started. I missed it dearly and going back to it was somewhat of a surreal dream come true.
Pod seating was more cramped than I imagined. Service was atrocious relative to the menu pricing (seemed like waiter had no experience at all). Sound system inside theater was unimpressive in that it was not nearly loud enough and I did not sense much fullness to the sound, although it was very crisp. I took someone there for a special occasion and I found this all very distracting. Theater itself is nice and I get the concept, but I would not be likely to go there often and I do not see why everyone gushes over it. It seems more suited to corporate parties than anything else.
Best seats in town for a super special night out for Dinner & Movie. Love the pods and blankets -though challenging to sit as a family larger than even numbers.Food menus is limited. Have not tried many choices yet. Pizza is more of a flat bread. And a bit heavy on sauces even if asking g for light sauce.
I’d say that it was very nice and elegant inside, this place did seem like a luxury theater. The only reason I’m giving three stars is because the food was way over priced and did not meet the “luxury” expectations I had. The dessert was not great and definitely not worth $10 a piece (we got s’mores cheese cake and red velvet cake) The surf and turf was definitely not worth $35. (The steak did not taste like steak. The texture seemed artificial.) Another issue I had was the candy. You cannot get the candy yourself, the server gets it for you which is fine but my issue was that they didn’t have the selection posted on the menu and our server also didn’t know the selection. I did enjoy the over all experience, however I would say do not get the food. It’s not worth it.
Excellent experience for people who love to eat, hangout and watch movies in a convenient and chic way!The selection of food and drinks is amazing. My all time favorites are:Filet sliders and the buffalo chicken spring rolls and the salted mocha martini. I like the calamari as well. The atmosphere is very nice and there are no people screaming or loud noises. The servers are extremely courteous and even the bathroom is visually pleasant. You can conveniently pick your movie and purchase the ticket through their app and simply check in when you get there. So far I have no complaints and I have been going there for a little over three years at least once a month.I definitely recommend iPic for people who prefer smaller audience, quiet and enjoyable environment with great food and service.
I love IPIC, we have been going here for years. I received a $50 gift card from a friend, and used it to purchase tickets for a movie. A day before seeing the movie, we had to cancel- I called and canceled and they put a credit on my account for only 1 ticket… not the $50 that I used.I canceled within their policy. Then I tried calling them again and again and again and again, emailed them twice. No response.Nothing.The IPIC in Houston is WAY better, the customer service sucks at the Austin IPIC.
Great theater. Nice building. I like the ambiance of the space. The rest is just not up to the price of the ticket. Food is not worth it. They serve too late and you have to eat in the dark during the movie. The servers show up after the previews are on and act like we are in a 5 star restaurant. Too slow people. The chairs are worn and clunky. Cloth is dirty. We lay their napkins on the arms of the chair. We do like the drinks but not consistent flavor.Think they need to team up the servers and work together and share tips. They have assigned seats and that is only your server. No one else can help you. Bad plan manager..... times are changing faster than you are.
Not at all the experience my husband and I were hoping for. Interior excellent. Service at the bar and theatre terrific. 1 star for the atmosphere inside the theater - peoples behavior. It seems people more interested in getting intoxicated than watching the movie. Staff oblivious - simply kept serving the drinks. Will not return.
We LOVE the iPic. Our first movie since covid was Tom Hanks News of the World. It was great on the big screen with our private seating area. Our food was delicious and service was great. We sat in the Premier seats and everything was very clean with plenty of social distance.
Normally I would give 5 stars since this is our favorite spot to go for movie with family and friends. However, this time was not as good. I booked 8 tickets for Captain Marvell at 9:30pm on Friday night.Normally when I arrived, I will get tickets myself at the self serve kios, however, those are not working so I walked up to the counter. The gentlemen was on the phone and not even give me eye contact or give me hand signal for anything. I waited for about 5 minutes until he got off the phone. (I already have my booking ticket up on my phone at that time) Instead of asking and see what I need or sorry for the wait, he literary just grab my phone and scan the bar code to print me ticket and not any other word. WOW!The movie was good and our waiter was decent. However, the person did pop corn completely skip us :( But no problem, I asked our waiter and he brought us some.Beside the counter experience, everything else was good as normal. This is not our first bad/horrible experience at the front counter, this is actually our 3rd bad experience. Maybe someone need to take a look at their front counter staff?
I was pursuing a job at this location however, they are refusing to pay me for the days that I worked there. Their management team is extremely difficult to get a hold of if theyre not blowing me off completely. Its poor business practice to have people work without pay and I dont appreciate being given the run around multiple times. I hope they treat customers better than they treat employees.
Comfortable seats and the relative privacy with the dividers around each set of two seats is really nice. Screen and sound were great as well.Popcorn is definitely not as good as at other theaters I frequent. Sliders were a little bland, but I did like the mozzarella sticks which look more like empanadas than sticks. My main beef is that we ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer at the same time as our meals. The server had the appetizer sent out first which was a nice touch. But heres where things went wrong, after a bit more than an hour I was forced to summon our server to see why our meal hadnt arrived yet. We werent offered an explanation or a discount or anything for the delay, just got our food 5 or so minutes later and got to worry about eating during the climax of the movie.
Best movie theater Ive been in Austin. The screen is really big and has good visual and audio quality, the seats are super comfortable and recline. They also give you popcorn (included in ticket), a blanket and a pillow. You can also order food. I got the truffle fries and they were really good. This theater is a bit expensive but with the membership sometimes you get 50% off on your ticket and then I think what you get is really worth it for the price.
I purchased tickets to see Halloween Kills at IPIC Austin for Friday October 22nd, at 1:45pm. I received my email confirmation, showing the date, time, location, and seats. I live about an hour away. Once I arrived at IPIC on October 22nd, and tried to check in, the lady told me there was no such time for that movie. I showed her my email confirmation, with all of the information and she could not provide a reason as to why I was able to purchase tickets to a movie time that does not exist. There solution was to take my number and email down so they can contact their IT department. Thanks for wasting my time IPIC. Dont waste your time or money going here. This place is worthless.
Love iPic! The food is better than any other theater and the chairs are very high end electronic recliners. The decor is first class and the people are very attentive. I have been a member for 2 yrs and its well worth the money. You usually earn a free premium plus movie ticket a year.
First time here to see a movie. I really liked the seats they had here. Fully recliner! The problem is you can find yourself passing out easily if that movie isnt doing it for you. Hey maybe thats a good thing right? Food was pretty good and the staff were friendly as youd expect. Will definitely check this place out again.
So the atmosphere and the theater is awesome. Its like going into a restaurant with fancy design and nicely groomed hostesses. The seats feel like sinking into a pile of cotton balls. If I wasnt expecting the Alamo my rating maybe better. However, the food is way overpriced. I agree that it was fresh but the portions are tiny and you are paying over $10 for any apps or entree.Thats the other thing: we missed the beginning of the movie! We wanted to order from the full line of menu and the buzzer went off after the movie started. You can get the premium plus seats for extra but at that point Id rather go to the Alamo (the newer ones) and enjoy the seated service and food.
IPic is definitely an experience I only feel the need to try once. While the reclining seats with blankets and pillows are nice, the price of the tickets still seems way too high. $60 for two tickets is ridiculous, even with the free popcorn (which is way too small of a serving for a 2 hour movie). Tried it, enjoyed it, wouldnt do it again.
$28 for a ticket. The food is not worth the price at all. Extremely overpriced!! Last time I went there I had to ask twice for popcorn. They forgot to bring my boyfriends drink. So basically, we had to keep calling them to remind them to do their job. So you have to act like their manager while missing the movie for which youre paying. When they bring your food, they hand the very hot plates to whoevers next to them to pass them around until it gets to your seat... Are you freaking kidding me?!. Not the service and food quality I would expect for their prices.
This IPIC unit located in the Domain Austin was a great overall experience, the seats and the movie theater were very comfortable. The theater staffing were very fast and friendly. The service also has many food and beverages options to choose from while you are enjoying your showing. The seating options are all great and the chairs also recline including a commentary pillow and blanket to relax. I would definitely recommend this movie theater to any single, couple, or family!
The theatre is nice, the seats smell so bad. The smell was lingering and made the experience not enjoyable. I don’t mind paying the iPic prices if the seats are clean and the smell is more tolerable.. I don’t believe I will be going back, not worth the smell of old wet cloth. You get great service and decent drinks and you get free popcorn when the movie starts.
0 stars if I could...Second time Ive been and their call buttons dont work. and I have to go ask to be served...walked out...asked for a refund...$56 for two tickets for what exactly??1st time there was food on one of the blankets, but I gave them a pass. They are not cleaning their blankets, seats or the pods, which is disgusting. They tried to convince me they send them out to be cleaned every day and change them out every showing..nope...dont believe it..Not today...There is absolutely no reason for me to patronize ipic theater..oh and by the way, Ive been trained in hospitality. The Manager was called and could have cared less!!
Terrible experience. Our first time coming here and will be our last. As expensive as tickets are our expectations were not met. Our food was under cooked and over cooked, flavorless and disappointing. Sent both entrees back and were left with cold , sad fries. No visit from a manager or server to offer explanation or apology just a bill for 12$ for two ice teas. Sorry Ipic, you need better service, menu development and management that cares.
Very nice theater, but a little pricey. You do get what you pay for though. The bar area and pool tables are nice and the cushion seats are really comfortable. I think paying the extra price for the upper seats is worth it. The service was quick and reclining during a movie is awesome.
Heres the gist of iPic: You overpay for the ticket, get a crappy seat and no service. If you WAY overpay for a ticket, you basically get the service you can get at Alamo Drafthouse. The seats are fine, but not great. The food is fine, but not great. Really disappointing experience, overall. If youre looking for dinner/movie experience and want to spend an even remotely reasonable amount of money, look elsewhere.
We saw a movie in the luxury plus theater. The seats are all recliners and come with a blanket and unlimited popcorn. These features were amazing, although the $28 ticket price was a bit hard to swallow. I ordered a sangria which I dont recommend. My husband and I split a chicken caesar salad which was good except they forgot to put chicken on it. The waiter didnt come back to ask how everything was so we werent able to let him know. Overall I recommend this place if you want a special night at the movies.
Weve been treating ourselves with trips to iPic for several years now, and I hope itll continue to be one of our favorite theaters - for the comfortable seats if nothing else! So, why not 5 stars? The price one pays for the good seats is high, and thats meant to be indicative of the experience youre paying for. Unfortunately, that experience has been slipping over our last several visits. The food isnt amazing, its not bad, but it isnt the quality Id expect to get for the price by a long shot. The service is has gone from remarkably good to simply okay. Honestly, the service at The Alamo is better...more prompt, and more friendly. So why give it 4 stars? Its still the only place I can really be comfortable, and watch a movie with my husband in a wonderful mix of a shared experience with the rest of the audience while also feeling like were in our living room. Its that magic blend that keeps us coming back. I recently bought into their Saphire Membership, which significantly reduces the value for money issue. I can see the iPic in The Domain returning to what it was when they were new and excited to be a part of Austin, and Ill keep hoping that renaissance will happen soon.
They just added a lot more and also brand new reclining chairs and new tables with more privacy which are better than the chairs before. The food was very good as was the service. They also redecorated the sitting lounge which looks great. I really like the upgraded changes they made.
Awesome experience, great date night spot! Really worth the extra money that we originally balked about at first glance. It really feels like you’re watching a movie in a private theater with how blocked off you are from everyone else...And mad kudos to the chef. Man, the food is AMAZING!
The inside of the theater was nice. The prices for the seats was a little too expensive for my taste it was my first time going it will be my last. The seats were uncomfortable to me and the complimentary popcorn they served was too salty. The bathroom was clean thats a plus. But as for me returning highly unlikely.
Very expensive, and probably not worth the price but there isnt much competition at the luxury level you get here. Its really best for a high end date night. The seats are really nice, fully recline with foot rest. Im 64 so normally recliners are worse then normal seats because my feet hang off the end and my head towers over the top so there is no head rest. Luckily these seats are tall in the back and the pillow they give you made the back work great. My feet still hung off the end with calves right on the edge which was a little discomforting but the chair was big enough that I could move around. I also didnt have waiters walking in from of us which Ive had problems is tripping before with my legs sticking out from lesser recliners. My feet did hit the front lip of the booth, so if you are much taller you might not be able to recline, though you could probably still put your feet up in the front of the booth. Overall I liked the seats and are one of the reasons to justify the price. The booth also sperates you from everyone around you so even if someone is texting it wispering in another booth, you would have no idea. You are really in your own section (another reason to justify the price). The service was ok. We didnt get much except a few appraisers and they were fine. Food wasnt as over priced as the tickets, and it was good enough quality. The service should be better when they get the buttons working. They came by a few times asking if we would like anything else, which one time was during a key scene of there movie, but otherwise it wasnt too disruptive. The sound was great, and noticeably better, and Im not really a audiophile. Picture was about what to expect from todays digital projection.
The iPic theater staff and management were absolutely amazing during our company event! They helped us with a last minute request and did everything in their power to make our visit great. The food is delicious, the scenery is cool and the general atmosphere is very friendly. Thanks to Alex, Matt and the rest of the crew for accommodating us on such short notice and for the wonderful service: truly a high class experience!
I was so pumped to finally make it out to iPic, and I have to say - it lived up to the hype. We purchased the premium seats (there really is no other way to do it), and they fully recline and even come with blankets. The service is spot on and the food was delicious. In case you want old faithful, they even come around with free popcorn! We will definitely be back when we want to splurge. The only area for improvement was that being our first time, they could have done a bit more to explain the ins and outs of where we needed to go and sit.
I first went here a few months ago and enjoyed it so much Ive been back a couple of times since then. I am normally not a fan of the dine-in theater concept. The whole get your full dinner and have a few drinks because my past experience with them just wasnt what I expected nor was I impressed. IPIC at the Domain changed my opinion of that. Each time that Ive gone the service has been exceptional the food has been great. the staff has always been very attentive but not to the point of annoying. They where able to take my order, bring it to me and tend to any other wants I had all the while not disturbing the movie I was watching. I love the service there and the space between the seating, I am always impressed by this establishment. If you have not been there then I highly recommend you try it out at least once. if you tried it out and were not pleased then I recommend you give them a second try, after all we all have our bad days now and then. I guess I have just been lucky enough to always catch them on a good day.
Food is hit or miss, the drinks are incredibly watered down (I once visited with a spirits rep and he confirmed), management is nice but never refunds anything, even when confronted with pictures, etc. After several years of top status and having invested in the now bankrupt organization, Im afraid this place is just an overpriced, underdelivering rip off. Top status brings virtually no benefits (several great benefits vanished over time, once they did something for Christmas, thats it), the app is nice but useless as most of the reservations cannot be canceled within the app, despite the cancel button - and you better have your card handy bc they need the full information when you request a cancelation).Number of dirty blankets Ive sent back: Ive lost count. Burnt popcorn: dozens. Seats or silver ware not clean: sadly, also lost count.Number of freezer burnt ice cream sandwiches Ive returned: 7Other foods returned: 10+Drinks... Abandon all hopeMessages to management about that: 10+Resolutions from that: 0Re the upgrades/updates inside.. So now you are in a 90s business class shell.. And the walls block sound from the speakers on at least one ear at all times. Also, if you are 62 or taller.. Good luck trying to get comfortable. Water holders are so poorly placed Ive repeatedly been the victim of involuntary leg baths by staff who just couldnt get to the holders. New tables are way too small, no room to stow anything.I loved this place but, considering the prices for the seats, the watered down drinks, the incredibly varying quality of the food and the frequently lackluster service, I dont see myself being anywhere near top status again this year.By my calculations, the place owes me about $800 in refunds / properly prepared drinks and foods.
I dont like that you have to get up during the movie to order more food and drinks, and then go get it yourself when its ready. I thought the tickets were too expensive to have to serve myself, plus you have to miss parts of the movie. There are only a handful of (even pricier seats) that actually have servers, and those sell out fast. The seats were super comfy though!
An amazing theater! The reclining seats, complimentary pillow, blanket, and popcorn just make it a very pleasant and pampering experience. A little on the expensive side for a movie theater, but you wont complain about spending the extra money after you try it for yourself.
This theater is the best! The remodel is a huge improvement to the chairs etc., and the food and drinks are delish! There was a period I had stopped going due to the higher prices yet declining condition of the facility. But now it’s back to being my favorite place to see a movie.
It’s one of the best theaters I’ve been in Austin. I had a really good experience. Customer service was really good. I think I went there with low expectations and I got a good experience. I think when we pay more for something we start expecting a lot from the time we enter the theatre so may be just go without any expectation and be good with servers and customer service people to start with.
First time here, was an okay experience. But loved the movie we watched. So you have to sit in the $28 seating area in order to get food brought to you, which we didnt know. So my husband is missing the beginning of the movie to go order food in the lobby. Which is Way over priced! 3 tiny burger appetizers and 2 drinks is $34! I recommend eating before you go there.
This place is incredible!! I went to go watch hustlers this past week. Ordered an appetizer (spicy tuna, kudos to the chef!) and the pina colada alcoholic beverage from the bar.The bartender John was amazing! So friendly and very professional. He got everything out in a timely manner, we even had time to play one game of pool before our movie started seating. Then went into theater and had megen as out server, she really knew how to point out all the points for it being my first time there, she even recommended all the most popular dishes to help my dinner choice be easier. I ordered the steak and lobster with truffle fries and my husband ordered the lobster roll with ‘truffle tots’ (again megen recommended) Man, let me tell you my steak came out better than it would have at a steak house and truffle tots are now going to be a go to for us on date night! The cinema was packed but the servers in the movie were good at keeping the volume under control. When we left the cinema The girl manager was very sweet in asking how everything went. Such a great follow up. The price of the ticket is well worth the experience. And did I mention popcorn is included?!?!? I highly recommend this movie theater and I will be back for any upcoming premiere nights!
I have yet to have a bad experience here yet, its a little pricey for a movie but its overall the best movie watching experience in Austin. The seats are comfortable, the service is good and the theater is clean. The food is also good but pricey compared to the portions you get....the house made bacon ketchup is awesome. Ive actually upgraded my membership (30$) and it saves 10$ per premium ticket, (during weeknights) so youll make your money back in just a few visits...its definitely an above average movie experience for an above average cost, but totally worth it if youve got the extra money to spare for a movie, I prefer iPic to anywhere in Austin.
Saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens with friends 1½ years ago and I enjoyed the experience. We sat in the lower section but by no means were we looking up at the screen. Our seats were 2nd tier in price but very comfortable. The food was tasty and averaged about $15 a person. Id give iPic a 5-Star rating, but after seeing my friends charged $11 for two iced teas, theyre getting 4 stars.
Overall a good concept and I like going to movies here. The food and wine selections are good and the seats are comfortable. They do take care of you. But $30 a ticket? On principle, no. However if you become a member (which costs nothing), you get a free ticket on your birthday!
This was my second time going to IPIC. My first experience was great; however, my recent one did not measure up to the in-theater service. I was 30 minutes into the movie and I had not gotten my popcorn order. I had to remind my waitress and then there was an additional wait. Water took 10 minutes to receive and my food order was received an hour after ordering, but unfortunately, was incorrect and by the time the correct order arrived, I was still eating the last of my 3 sliders while end credits were rolling on the screen.
All the negative reviews about the cost. If you dont like the cost this does not mean the Theatre or the experience is bad. In this case you are getting what you pay for and if you have the money to pay a premium and are not worried about paying a premium then it is well worth it.I would much prefer in my case to pay a premium price for the seats, eat food that is good and have no teenagers talking or cell phones going off during the movie. For me the experience is worth it and I will continue to go back over and over again. Thanks Tim
Well, been here several times and I am usually very pleased but last night I have to say the service was very slow and the Mexican martini that I usually enjoy was the worst I have ever tasted, anywhere! My wife had one and said the same thing. Slow service and bad drinks - WOULD EXPECT MORE FOR MY $100 CHECK (not including admission.)
I dont get it. Nothing really special about the theater screens or sound system, their one trick pony is the fancy chairs. Nothing special about the food or the cocktails. The bar is nice, in that this is so shiny I dont want to hang out here kind of way. The servers in the bar are kind of disinterested.Overall, a place to go if you want to make a point of visibly spending money to sit in a chair less comfortable than my couch.Definitely not the sort of place I personally will ever hang out in or see a movie outside of a company event Im not paying for.And be ready for the nonstop sales pitch. They are desperate to give you their membership discount in exchange for your contact info, and it gets old very quickly.
Ive been going to I-pic @ the Domain since they’ve opened. I remember when the domain was just a field. Anywho i-pic WAS a great place to dine and watch a flick maybe 3+ years ago. The drinks are heavily diluted, weak, and expensive (for the quality). The seats are repulsive the theatres smell so bad because of the cloth chairs soaking up everyone’s spills. I even asked the manager on staff 2 years ago when they’d be changing out the seats because they’re always wet and stinky. He actually had the audacity to lie to me and respond, “we are scheduled to have the seats replaced in 2 months”. A blatant lie! This place has gone so far down hill yet they still charge as if they are an A+ theatre. Advice: Try another theatre until they fix the stinky seats.UpdateSeats are new and the place is awesome again!
This would have to be the most incredible adult themed movie theater I have ever been too. It may be a little pricy for the premuim seats at $24 but with unlimited popcorn and drinks it is worth it. Especially since they are comfy reclining chairs with blankets and a small pillow. They have wonderful service, a open bar with a wide selection of drinks common with most admirable bars. Pool tables and so much more. This is what date night needs if you go to a movie.
Ive only been here once, but wow I loved it. You pay top dollar for the seats, food, and drinks, but the experience is totally worth it. Reclining in a comfortable chair with a pillow and blanket while being served food and margaritas is a really pleasant way to watch a movie. Really all that was missing was a nice shoulder and scalp massage, but I guess you cant have everything.
A little dissapeared that they no longer after complimentary pop corn. The excuse is that the ticket price is lower, so they had to stop giving it away.If memory serves, the ticket price used to be $18. Now it is $15 plus $4 processing fee (they did not use to charge that fee). The math does not seem to support the excuse.

2022-05-29Best theater hands down. The seats are so comfortable and you get a soft blanket. With your own private cubicle and table. The sound is impeccable the cubicle feels like it moves with the sound. We went to see top gun👍. The drinks and pop corn were good. Next time we will try the food.

2021-08-21Super clean, comfy, relaxing, chilled place. Staff is very friendly. Haven’t tried food but drinks are all good and not too pricey. A great hangout when you have time to kill when in the Domain 🍿

2022-07-12Came here with my wife last night. Super comfy seats. The food was delicious. My wifes nachos with steak were amazing. My shrimp salad was also good, wish it would have had a little more salt. Excellent customer service.

2022-05-31Weve been going since they first opened. My kids loved how fancy it seemed. I was even willing to pay the extra for the comfortable seats, free popcorn, good food, and excellent service. The service was still great, but the food and the changes made to accommodate lower ticket prices ruinded what made the theater special. My son came home sick from what he ate. I understand trying not to price yourself out of the market, but if you take away everything that made you stand out, you just become any one of these other movie chains that sell food.

2022-06-22Great seats and interior decor, but thats where the greatness ends. They over charged my card TWICE! Once on drinks that were billed to a different theater and the second on food we never received. We ordered food and drinks (2 drinks, 2 meals) before the movie started. Drinks came as the show began, 1st meal shortly after. Second meal never came – they delivered it to a neighboring seat and before I had a chance to say anything, the guest started eating it – the server told them if you dont tell I wont. Manager on duty came by to check, told her I never got my food – (movie 50% over at this point), she went back to check and never came back. Check came and everything was on it.Went outside after the move to ask about it. They were nice enough to take the food off but as I was waiting I saw 3 other people from our show ask her about the same thing!I understand staffing is hard right now, but the staff working that night just didnt care.I cant wait till this place gets bought by a different chain. iPic, please go away.

2022-07-25One of the worst theater experiences I ever had. All I ever heard was rave for this place, but this was the first and last time I ever go here. I ordered food and a drink at 7:47 pm. We watched everyone get their food and asked about ours. Finally we were told around 9:21 pm (hour and half into movie) that they lost our order and would comp us. They brought meal out in the final twenty minutes, never brought me my drink and brought some popcorn out in the final 5 minutes. They were also out of blankets and pretty much all the cocktail ingredients we tried to order. It was super noisy. They talk to you during the movie and make no effort to not obstruct your viewing of the screen. Terrible place to go. Don’t waste your money. I am grateful they comped most of the meal, but still feel cheated out of my $35 in tickets. I could have seen same movie at Cinemark for $6 a seat and left with a richer experience. Yuck. Boo. Stay away. Far away from this place. Not even the manager would come to see us and we requested them twice.

2022-04-19I really enjoy seeing movies here. It feels like such a private experience. The extra cost is 100% worth it to not have to be annoyed by other people. I barely even notice other people are at the movie. One negative is the seats are shaped weird. I learned to grab a blanket and use it for neck support. The blankets are a major plus.Another negative is the whole dining experience. First the food cost is outrageous. Second its not very good. Third we waited a very long time to receive our food and it was a little cold. I thought the nachos looked good but they really are not. So I would say skip the food or just get popcorn. All in all, I enjoy the privacy and dont feel like I need to eat while watching a movie. So its a 4 star experience for me.

2022-06-24Great movie experience. The seats are very comfortable, the best Ive come across in Austin so far. The service is a little slow but thats alright since you have the comfort of dine-in and the staff is very good.I would have given a 5 if not for the hand railings between seats which are high and obstruct your view when the seat is reclined.

2022-06-20I first came to this theater while visiting Austin in October 2021. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the theater was clean. When visiting with a friend 6/19/22 I was excited to take her to see the new Jurassic World movie. The whole experience was so different from my previous visit. I used the restroom before heading into the theater to find stalls without paper, trash everywhere, and a couple stalls that had human waste on the seats. We ordered our food then waited 45 minutes for our food and drinks to arrive. The food was ok but again not as good as my previous visit. No one came to check on us, refill drinks, or remove dirty dishes. The only time we saw our waitress was when she took our order (I had to flag down someone different to even get silverware) And when she brought our check (no pen). Austin is a big city and I likely will find other activities to fill my time on my next visit.

2022-07-26Upon walking in, I had high hopes. The lobby/bar area had a fairly stylish decor. This theater describes it self as upscale. I thought this was the experience we would have, yet very far from.We we’re enthused by the unique, secluded individual pod idea . Our enthusiasm quickly faded as we went through the process . The chairs squeaked very loudly as the chairs lowered into a recliner position. The ordering system could be more efficient . Someone takes your order at a whisper as the movie starts. Alamo draft house has a similar concept but has smartly chose to accept hand written orders when ready . Prices are very expensive, although, not surprised considering it’s a theater . Each item was brought by someone different . Very hard to eat with lack of low lights to see food. Our lemon pepper dry rub wings were the first to come . They were very oily and chewy. Not crispy. The popcorn came next . The popcorn tasted homemade but very bland . Added butter. The butter tasted like cooking oil . Weren’t given salt. Didn’t finish either food item. Never received our requested beverage. I did notice the beverages came our way later than food for everyone else who did get their drinks . Very hard to ask for the things we need considering our drinks, food, and condiments were all delivered by someone different as waterfall time intervals. Finally, the bathrooms were unkept. It smelled like rank, dirty diapers. I had to hold my breath. My advice, go to another theater that has the process perfected. The pod privacy is not worth the all the other complaints.
