Food and service were good, price and portions we every good! Was not crowded and not a place you would normally find our go to unless you knew about it. Had the calzone which was large light crust. The salads are large too and they make their own dressings. The Italy was red and looked like tomorrow tomato sauce but was a good original version of their own. Would go back.
Really good food. Love the pizza, calzone, ravioli, the sauce- everything. A personal favorite for my family and I, we’ve been going for years. Good for lunch or dinner. Never takes too long and the servers are polite. The location is a little hidden but still manages to get lots of business, which goes to show how great the place is. Support tour local businesses 👏
You got your cheese pizza pie, chicken calzone, lasagna coming out of the kitchen & the antipasta salad with house dressing (those dishes were finished at this point). Apparantly the soda seltzer & syrup is a perfect combo as well according to the soda drinkers at the table! Our family has been a major fan of Italy for the last 20 years & we stop by everytime we are back in the area.
So from the beginning the waitor was very slow and could care less if we were happy or not because we found in the end that they do 18% gratuity and than the shrimp scampi was over powering lemony too and the cook came out and was arguing with me too and I didnt appreciate that either will never be coming back to this place
This was our first time. The food was SO good. The kind of good where each person every few bites says “This is so good!” The dishes we had were chicken Alfredo, chicken piccata and pizza. They were all very good.We had just left volleyball so we didn’t realize how late it was. It was just a few minutes before closing time but we did not know it by their actions. They were friendly and attentive. We did not realize until we looked at our phones that they were closed. This is not a white linen Italian restaurant with a hostess. It is a seat yourself and the waitress comes to serve you kind of place. The kind of place that becomes one of your favorite places to eat and you go once a week. It is very clean. It is very affordable. They do serve alcohol. I seemed like they would be very welcoming it you wanted to have get togethers there to watch a game or bring the baseball team to eat between tournament games. I wish it was close to my house.
This is an Amazing Italian Family Dining Experience. We normally come here every Friday for dinner - this week we had an out of town relative who is on a very strict Gluten Free diet. The chef said No Problem - he would whip something up. And WOW did he ever come thru. In mere minutes he had a beautiful dish of Vegetables and Chicken w/ Tomato. It was extremely tasty. You all need to check this place out - just not on Fridays - LOL -David
Italy Pasta Pizza & Subs in Arlington is FANTASTIC! What a hidden gem of a place for fresh, wholesome, and tasty Italian food - just like what Mama use to cook!I know Italian food and this restaurant is a stand out in Arlington! All of their dishes are great but my favorite is their chicken parmigiana with a side of pasta. Then there’s the stromboli, baked ziti, Italian sausage sandwich, and they offer four sizes of pizza with a variety of toppings and salads too!Plus, the portions are large, the prices very reasonable and service outstanding. Perfect! They have a lunch menu, dinner options, dine-in, take-out, and food delivery can be had too.The servers are very helpful, prompt, attentive to diners needs and the restaurant itself is well decorated, clean, spacious and it has plenty of parking.Definitely 5-Star for Italian cuisine! Try it!
Pizza great but service is sooooooo bad. You order what you want but will receive only pizza. Dont know where they are using a Parmesan cheese and the crust peppersTheyre not sending it out with the orders after requested. I spent $45 and received 2 packs Parmesan cheese.Second order I spent $65Reminder them of The first order of the parmesan cheese and receive no Parmesan cheese on a $65 order. Wow the more money you spent The sorry the service.
My husband and I were in the mood for pasta when we stumbled across this wonderful gem! The server was attentive and the food was authentic as well as amazing! The portion sizes are very filling for a great price. Will definitely be going back anytime I need any Italian!
This is by far the absolute BEST pizza restaurant EVER!!! Im a pizza LOVER! Dominos or Pizza hut DONT EVEN come CLOSE to touching this place! I use to live near by & moved to North Arlington so I havent been as often as Id like. We went last night and drove our pizza all the way home no pizza bag all the way to North Arlington. & It made it home! Hot & all! We have about 2 to 3 Pizza hut and Dominos nearby & they dont make it home hot some times. Definitely worth the drive! We ordered a large one topping and cheese bread all came out to under $17!
Love this place. We went there yesterday and the food is still as amazing as I remember. It seems family owned and operated, which gives it this nice homey feeling. They’ve been here for more than 20 years, and once you eat there, you’ll understand why. I don’t understand what some reviews are talking about bad service, because we have always been treated well and prompt here. Eh, might be preference in service, but the servers aren’t gonna be at your table the whole time. But they’re also not forgetting about you either! Even when they’ve been super busy, I always have a pretty good time, and leave with a smile on my face. Overall, my favorite restaurant.
Went twice and the pizza was amazing but the last time I went was just terrible. My pizza was so sloppy and it looked like they didnt even try on it. Perhaps it was just the cook having a bad day but I really wanted to make this my new main pizza place I dont think I can do it anymore after this experience.EDIT: Started coming again after over a year, and the pizza has been great consistently. Last year, I came here about 6 times and it was 50/50 whether my pizza was good or sloppy. Now, I come home with a pizza that blows the New Yorks Best Pizza down the street out of the water (not that they make bad pizza, just not as good as this one).Something I would recommend is perhaps adding more lighting to brighten the mood of the place up, the last time I walked in to pick up my order there wasnt a single light on (at around 6 pm) and it gave off a gloomy vibe.
Service isnt what is used to be. Our favorite server that worked here since we have been coming for the past 4 years seems to be no longer here. Now you have servers who arent really attentive to anything and either hang out by the drink station or sitting down on their phones. The remodel is very nice what it used to look like and very clean. Food is consistent and good portions. Did notice that our fried ravioli was changed of late and now seems to be store bought or something so we dont order that anymore. Overall, we will still continue to come to this hole in the wall.
Food is tasty as expected from an Italian Restaurant, however id there are no customers and there are more than two, three, four or more than EIGHT EMPTY NON OCCUPIED tables because there are two chairs per table even if it’s just two people you cannot sit there? I have been a long time customers and had never experienced such non sense until today. Two stars for horrible customer service and at that even so much as a hostess to sit you but some Aunt Jemima wanna be races out of the kitchen that we have to move because that is for eight or twelve people that were non existent and that moment, waitress didn’t say that it was reserved instead she handed us the menus all the meanwhile Aunt Jemima insisted that we move for the invisible 8-12 people that were not there nor scheduled or reserved. Never again. My money is valued elsewhere with the same quality of food if not better. CAFE SICILY look them up ;)
A honest true Italian restaurant. The Shrimp Fettuccini was excellent and brought to the table in a deep Pasta Plate with a spoon as well as a fork. And the house Italian dressing is a very good red spicy sweet and made with a very good olive oil. The atmosphere is nice, the servers were fast and professional and courteous the cook was very fast and the meal was perfectly cooked. The only thing I would change would be to pull the tails off the shrimp before you add them to the dish it did take a bit away from the experience of enjoyment of a true Italian Dish. I highly recommend this restaurant if you were looking for any kind of true Italian pasta.
Nice, intimate place. Not a chain. Cozy neighborhood place tucked away in the area of where I used to work. Hadnt been there in 10 years. Did know it still existed. Was nice to drive by, see its still there, and pop in. A great family place on a cold Saturday night also.
Absolutely delicious! My girlfriend got the lasagna and she said it was absolutely amazing. I got the stromboli and it was great! The bread was soft and the sauce was to die for. The place looks ghetto from the outside, but it is very nice and clean inside. Will definitely come again.
This place is a solid 4 stars. Everything about it is at this level. The food is pretty good but could use a slight bump, possibly just my preferences in crust thickness since the toppings are spot on. The pasta was fine as well as the other dishes weve had.Service has never been bad and at times really good. The parking is a bit cracked but not too bad. The place in general needs an update but it works for what it is, a neighborhood Italian place.Unfortunately it gets passed by a lot, being off of a side instead of a main street.Yes the restrooms are up in front but they keep them clean. That also means theyre nowhere near the kitchen. In short give it a chance. You might find a new favorite here.
Great old school neighborhood pizza shop! Ive been enjoying their pizza for many years and will continue to for a long time. Its definitely my favorite! The best pizza is chicken, bell peppers, onion and pineapple, cooked well done. Try this place out, you wont be disappointed!
I work at the CTC right down the road from this place, so I come here often. It is such a great experience every time. The food is always great, they are fast and efficient, and the pricing is inexpensive. It is a bit small and tight-fit, but the ambience is very welcoming and family oriented.
This restaurant is one of my absolute favorites. I have been going to Italy Pasta Pizza & Subs since 2001. We started going there because we lived close. We moved far from it and we still drive all the way to the restaurant because it is that amazing. The inside is clean and very nice. The food is simply superb. I recommend the Chicken Piccata and Chicken Alfredo. Their pizzas are also delicious and their garlic bread is awesome. The service is always great and the food has not once disappointed. I highly recommend that you go and try this restaurant.
First, let me say Im not Italian or claim any knowledge of what authentic Italian food is in comparison. But this restaurant is my go to when I want Italian food. The appetizers and entrees are ALL top notch. The guys and ladies that work here are very welcoming and friendly, and the bald man with glasses is probably the best of them all in my opinion, he will deliver your food hot and fresh in the rain, snow or incoming meteors. Pair this with generous portions at a great price and you have a place that cant be beat.
Wow the pizzas are just great like u remember as a kid you lift the pizza and the cheese strings high as you can lift it ingredients so fresh and just delicious great service I found this place 10 years ago or so and and I think they got better keep doing what you do I will come back
I ordered last night. I live 2 mins from this place. I thought I googled Pizza Hut, but I googled pizza near me. Once I saw the photos of dishes and pizza pies. I was like nope! I’m sold and of course the reviews. I want to say to the owner......great job. I believe in supporting our local businesses. I will from now on order my pizza and then some from your business! Great job guys✌️✌️✌️✌️🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
My very favorite pizza place ever!!! I have been going to this pizza place for over 20 years. Pizza is always FRESH and made the way I WANT IT! Everyone that works there is very professional. Price are crazy good. When you order a Large Pizza, it is really a Large Pizza. Pizza flavor is sooooo good! If you havent tried this Pizza, treat yourself today.
The food was real good and the portions to price is a hreat deal. Had the Stromboli and they allowed us to make xhanges. Tons of cheese and ingredients, my only complaint was the how little of the saice they served and the waitress was a little grumpy. Overall 7 out of 10
Love their food and its pretty authentic. Great prices. Only thing I hate is their bruschetta is spelled brochette in the menu and the servers always look at me like Im stupid or crazy when I order it correctly. Im Italian, I cant stand to call it brochette... brochette is just a term for a grilling technique. Not for a bread and tomato dish! Other than that Ive been coming for years and would definitely recommend it.
Consistency of this place is amazing. Have not been back in 15 years, but their fettucini primavera special with white alfredo sauce is THE SAME. Who else can boast such fine persistent quality? Great local un-googleable hipster spot (try to search for Italy in Google maps - only a true hipster or authentic local will know about this place!).
I went here for dinner with some friends and one of the waiters, (I’m assuming it was the manager) spilled a glass full of ice cold tea in my face and down my lap, ruining a new pair of white shoes I just got. He never apologized for spilling the tea and proceeded to charge me almost full price for my meal. They only took off $4 from my check. Unacceptable on all terms. Horrible service as well as taking over 45 minutes to serve my table.
I dont know what the restrooms being part of the dining area means, the place is small, yes, used to be a Whataburger. Food is pretty good. Great pizza, ziti, fettuccine, I just dont recommend the shrimp scampi plate, the only bad thing Ive ever had. Not fine dining but good food and quiet atmosphere.
Been going here for over 10 years food is absolutely amazing hasnt changed a bit. Staff is awesome very friendly and makes you feel welcomed. Portions are HUGE so come hungry, highly recommend their pizza and stromboils. Lasagna and raviolis are delicious aswell, If looking for pasta try the Shrimp Fra Diablo, Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Alfredo. Will forever recommend Italy to all my family and friends.
My girlfriend found so many hairs in her food. So she first pulled out one hair and she was like its okay but then she kept pulling out more and more. And they wanted us to pay for that?? They finally decided that we werent going to pay and they handed us a check and they had charged us for a salad we never ate/asked for.
First time ordering from here. Delivered quickly. I got the chicken parm which I liked ok. It came with pasta. I chose fettucine thinking it would have alfredo sauce but it had marinara like the parm. I guess you have to special request alfredo sauce and fettucine marinara isnt very good. Had it had alfredo sauce my rating may have been higher. Portions are huge. Can feed two people. The garlic bread had no garlic and was stale. The salad was passable. A 20 oz soda was $2.20 but that was ok. Quite small piece of cheesecake for more than $3 wasnt worth it. Its just ok from what I had. Nothing special about it but I may try the pizza or calzone sometime before writing the place off.
Close your eyes and think about any expensive place you have been to to get some good Italian food such as Shit garden aka Olive Garden............ ok now burn the building down and kill the cook because thats what youre going to want to do after eating here! As a conissour of Italian food I can tell you that this place is one of the best places to get some amazing Italian food anywhere in the DFW area.Remember the simple rule that I know everyone here has heard dont judge a book by its cover
Arlington isnt exactly a hotbed for Italian cuisine, right. My favorite puzza place recently closed its doors, and I have been searching for a replacement. This is it. Are there better pizza places in North Texas? Of course. Will they delivery a hot pizza to your door under 45 minutes for a heck of a price? How any other pizza places within the Italy Pasta Pizza & Subs delivery limit stay in business is beyond me. Staff is very nice, delivery is quick, and the prices are cheaper than large pizza chains. What kinda momo is buyin from those places anyway? Dont be a momo, next time you want dinner delivered give em a call.
Leaving one start because I didn’t even get to finish ordering my food and I can clearly hear the delivery guy in the background complaining about delivery my $15.01 order to me. I only chose this place because of the reviews and the food on the website looked great but the delivery guy really upset me but the guy who took my order was excellent next time make sure if your gonna complain about your job the customer can’t hear you.
My co-worker and I both ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo and IT WAS DISGUSTING! It had no flavor or seasoning what so ever. I called to complain and the cook ( he wouldnt allow me to speak with the mgr) said he has been cooking it the same way and never recd a complaint and I was only complaining about the price. That was not the case. He continued to argue with me and refused to replace the meal. Thats what I wanted not a refund. So much for customer service. I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN NOR WILL I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. I WILL CONTINUE TO TELL PEOPLE HOW BAD IT IS. IN FACT I THINK I WILL POST IT ON FB AND TAG THIS PLACE.
I had baked ziti and my friend had fettuccine alfredo. First, service was pretty decent but the food was seriously lacking. I dont really care about decor as long as things are clean, but I had to wipe food crumbs out of my booth seat before I seated myself. As you can tell from the other reviews, the decor is run down. But most importantly, my food was awful. When I order baked ziti I expect it to be made with ziti pasta, but they used penne instead which to me is not as tender as ziti. It took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive, but yet it seemed under cooked for how Im used to my pasta (I tried my friends also hers was also not done). Sauce on these pasta dishes was almost non-existent especially on the fettuccine. And lastly the bread served with the meals was basically a store bought french loaf cut down and was very dry and tough. I am used to places that make fresh baked breads and offer some kind of oil dipping sauce. Price-wise, it was cheap our entire meal with one soda was right under $15 which is what I would spend on myself alone at say Olive Garden. But if you normally love Olive Garden or other chain Italian, take my advice from someone who LOVES and KNOWS my pastas, run the other way from this place and go to a clean, predictable, and still reasonably priced Olive Garden or Carinos. Also, you dont have to worry so much about getting mugged or shot at in an Olive Garden parking lot... this area was very shady and I hid my valuables in the car before dining here.
This was the first time ever the place look normal there only 1 waitress very slow I believe that the owner Drinks need to ask to refill drink and slow cook food waited almost 40 minute for food and very expense Didnt fill me up First and Last spent 46 dollar huh ? And people who is standing in the back seem like they laughing and talking

2022-04-17We went for the first time with guests and we will surely be back. It is in an old Whataburger restaurant but you forget that the minute you walk in the door. It is a very open restaurant, everyone was friendly and the food was amazing. There are so many choices and everything was so good. Stromboli is huge and filled so full, the pasta is so comforting and the pizza is homemade and it shows. What a great place!

2020-02-26I came to this restaurant for the first time a week ago. I had a great visit. The place was clean. The service was good. I really enjoyed their food. We started with a cheese bread which was really good. We also had their Stromboli and that was very delicious as well. I’m definitely coming back to this restaurant soon. We were there before noon, so it wasn’t as busy and therefore parking was easy. Recommend if you are a fan of Italian food.

2020-02-16Italy has been around for a long time, and they are still great! We hadnt been here in a long time, but I already got their stromboli. They have great cheesy bread too. Service was good. There werent too many people there, and it looked clean.

2019-10-20The place looks a little hole-in-the-wall from the outside, and our table did have a bit of a wobble to it, but in this case, the looks are quite deceiving! This place has excellent food. Very satisfying, large portions, delicious flavor, and the food was piping hot (in the fresh-off-the-grill kind of way, not the sitting-under-a-heat-lamp way!).The service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean and tidy on the inside. The restroom (ladies) was clean too (pro tip though- the single stall in there doesnt have a door, so maybe go ahead and lock the knob while in use).Im an Alfredo junkie, and while its a little on the thin side when it first comes out, thats only because its so freakin hot! Once it cools down a bit, it thickens up real nice. The consistency and flavor are great! My husband ordered the stromboli, one of his favorite Italian dishes, and it was packed full of the toppings he ordered and plenty of cheese. Just a bit of only crust at the ends, but thats pretty normal. Its very hard to get a stromboli with toppings all the way to the corners and still have it seal properly. The service was prompt, attentive, and very kind. We never had to ask for anything, and he even brought me a little to-go box right when I was thinking I might need one!I didnt think ahead to take pictures, but I will next time! Just know that the pictures already posted here are not deceiving- it does look a little second-hand from the outside, but its pleasant inside and those portions REALLY are that big.So much bang for your buck, its definitely worth a visit!Edit- attached pictures from our next visit 😉👍

2021-10-03Ill have to come back and try something else. I ordered fried ravioli, a salad, n chicken fettuccine. The ravioli was ok..I loved the salad dressing, my fettuccine a bit too much cracked black pepper for me. Came here several years ago thought I stop back in.

2018-12-30The building used to be a whataburger back in the 80s.Now it is Italy! The food here is delicious to say the least.Ive been either eating here or getting food delivered since they opened many years ago. From their pastas to the stromboli, the veal, and of course, their legendary pizzas , ive never had a bad meal from here.Their extra large pizza is an extra large! Pieces are big and pizza is always hot.Prices are cheap, quantity is always good and quality good too.The staff is great from management, greeters, cooks, and even delivery drivers. If you like Italian food and are in Arlington Tx. Browning and between arkansas and pioneer pkwy. Check them out! I wouldve included a pict of the food but it is usually gone before i think about it.
