Took too long for a remote program-2.5-3hrs. I wasnt given any info on what was taking so long until I asked the guy who checked me in. The front desk/cashier ladies were great. The lady that processed my transaction looked at the receipt and stated the final cost was wrong (too high). She took the time to correct it and I appreciated that
I probably would have given the visit an Extremely likely to Refer were it not for the issues I note below. I recently visited the Service department on Memorial day due to a check engine, transmission fluid and front suspension issues. Jarred(glasses)was our service advisor. While I really have no complaints with his service other than he forgot to have the techs do an oil change, what I was displeased with in the Service department, was that we had to wait 5 hours to get a diagnosis for the problems. Also, Jarred had informed me there were no loaner vehicles available. When my husband and I purchased the 2019 GMC Sierra in July of 2021, we purchased the extended warranty coverage in addition to the vehicle still being under the manufacturer warranty. I am glad that we did because we have had transmission issues already with this truck. We serviced the transmission only a few months prior to our Memorial day visit.The next issue associated with our visit was the scheduling of the work to be done on the truck. The earliest an appointment could be made to repair the truck was for June 22, almost 3.5 weeks after the service visit. We were told that there were delays in getting parts and as a result the Service department was backlogged- hence the 3 week wait. Also, I suggested to get a used vehicle for a loaner and was told there was a shortage of used vehicles as well. I am hoping
BJ Worley contacted me that there was one Canyon on the lot and my lease was coming up. I went to the dealership as soon as I could, did a test drive, signed the papers and drove off in a brand new truck with a few extra features and a lower payment. Its always a pleasure working with BJ. Hes not your stereotypical car salesman. We followed him from Classic to James Wood and cant imagine working with anyone else. Thank you BJ and James Wood!
Terrible is all I can say. Took my GMC dually in for a simple recall yesterday. Making a 9am appt was useless. Took all day. Then when I got my truck back everything had been jacked with. My seat was to the floor. My radio was blasting a station I never listen too and my ac was all jacked up. Then when I get home I see my underhood gasket sticking 6 up out of the hood. When I opened the hood the whole gasket had been tore off and just put down. This is by far the worst dealership service department I have ever been to.Never again...
From start to finish Patrick Ester was absolutely amazing and made the whole experience great especially since I have never been to a Buick dealership before and that day with him after being at 5 different places looking for a vehicle he made everything so easy and was so helpful and not a trying to scam me like other places. I will be going back to James Wood Buick dealership in Denton and sending everyone I know there also
I showed up without an appointment and didn’t have a service person yet. Taylor Adams greeted me promptly and got my truck in for the 2 repairs I needed to get done. She was very friendly and courteous. I will definitely bring my Truck back to James Woods!Thank you Taylor!!!
I have not bought a car in 7 years and Wendi Little made it so easy, I could buy another car from her today! She was so quick to respond and send us what our options were on the Denali we wanted. Oil filter leaked oil the day after my service. I could turn the filter easily with two fingers and oil was still leaking until I tightened the filter. I returned to the dealership and spoke with Service Manager (Brandon) and explained this is the 3rd chance Ive given them with concerns about the quality of service. I reluctantly let them take my truck back to check oil level and make sure everything was tight. They did offer me a complimentary oil change on my next visit, but Im questioning if I want their technicians working on my vehicle.
I had my 2015 Buick Enclave repaired after I was involved in an accident with another vehicle. Jeff, in the Body Shop, was my contact person throughout the process, and I was very impressed with the knowledgeable and accommodating presence he showed. He definitely is a vital part the James Wood dealer!

I was greeted by my sales associate, BJ, as I walked in the door. He took me to his office and asked what brought me in that particular day. The whole process from beginning to end was great, not demanding at all. He discussed a lot of unrelated car topics to help put me at ease. Once we decided on the vehicle, I had asked to get a few additional things done to it. He immediately reached out to the particular parties involved and gave me an estimate as to when it would be completed, which ended up being the exact day he said. As things were completed, he sent me pictures, keeping me in the loop. He informed me about all the options, and all the apps to download and additional services Id receive. Once the vehicle was complete with the additional things I had requested and cleaned up, he spent over an hour explaining all the different features on the car. He even suggested if I ever needed anything to call his personal cell phone. I had visited a few other places, and received very poor service and the overall experience wasnt good either. I had a friend purchase a vehicle from here who told me to check this place out, so I definitely saved the best place for last. I would definitely recommend James Wood, and my sales associate, BJ, to anyone in the market for a vehicle.

I bought a car here previously, but this time around they would not take my GMS pricing to purchase an AT4. They said no one was taking GMS pricing around in the DFW metroplex. Well, I decided to call around...I even called several dealerships in Michigan and everyone I spoke to could not believe they would treat their own this way by not accepting a benefit that was given to us from GM. I visited Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine. They took my GMS pricing on two vehicles, I traded a vehicle in, and then got my brother in law to purchase a truck from them and then my niece. Thats four cars. They were a pleasure to work with through the entire buying process. If you are a GM Family First customer, do not go to James Wood. They will not treat you like family.

My wife and I were very pleased with the service we received by your GREAT and HONEST SERVICE TEAM. I was expecting after evaluating my SUV that they were going to tell us that all of the parts needed replacing to fix my engine from over heating. They came back and said that all I needed was a new CAP for my Radiator. Because the cap was not secure on the Radiator, that is what caused the over heating. I was bracing for the worst. Patrick was great throughout the process. He helped us test drive earlier in the week before we purchased and did not make a sales pitch or make us feel like we needed to negotiate anything at that time. After shopping around, we felt the the price offered at James Wood Buick-GMC was fair and the best possible. Patrick had told us about the Educator Discount after he learned my wife was a teacher. I emailed Patrick that we wanted to come in and talk about a specific car and he quickly emailed back the best time to meet. He met us when we entered the dealership, I provided my keys to my trade-in, and he provided the keys to the Buick Enclave Premium trim we wanted to purchase. We were able to take our time looking over the vehicle while he had our car evaluated for trade. The trade-in price was more than fair, and the all the discounts were figured in the price for me to evaluate. Our credit union had given me a low interest rate, but the dealership was able to beat it. The finance person came out to meet my wife to brag on her and tell her she had the highest credit score he had seen in his entire career. The monthly payment was figured with the interest rate and the numbers were exactly what I had anticipated.... no surprises. We moved to closing with the finance department and all went smoothly there. This was one of my best car buying experiences I have ever had and I will be back for future purchases. Recommended work that was not required, it’s either an out right lie or service technician who have no idea what they are doing. If the service manager want to discuss further they can call me. Best I can figure you owe me money back from overcharges for work not preformed or needed. Telling me what I already know should not be billed. This is my second bad experience at this dealership’s service department.
I was searching on the internet trying to find my wife a good vehicle for hauling our large family around. We saw an Arcadia at another dealership and she fell in love with it! I ran across one in our price range at your dealership. I inquired about it using your chat window on the James Woods Website and met Melanie Gregg. She was very helpful and knowledgeable but the one we saw was already sold. I was about ready to give up when she showed me a newer 2017 Acadia that was available!!! Needless to say we are now the proud owners of a Professional Grade 2017 GMC Acadia 7 passenger SUV and my wife is extremely excited! Called and Got an appointment with Tammy to bring in my Acadia for servicing. Twas easy. I showed up and the car was taken in for service. Found the brakes needed to be replaced and rotors resurfaced. Tranny needed servicing and the engine oil and filter and air filter needed replacing. And Tammy had the car washed. The courtesy pickup and delivery is outstanding. Great service crew. Polite and very helpful. Highly recommended. Seems as if the old Cadillac courtesy service came back.I checked and where are all the cars for sale? Hard to sell what you do not have. Come on GM!

Salesperson that helped me his name was Carlos I believe ........... did not give me hope at all in qualifying for a truck. Did not even try even with an 800 credit score. Maybe he thought we could not afford it but we went over to Kia down the road and got a 40k truck !!!! They gave me better service and did not turn me down at all. They went all the way for me so wont be going here for second vehicle Im about to purchase. Thank you for your 0 interest in being a client thanks to you I got my dream truck plus a great price !!!
Certified technicians did not inform me of a nail in my tire while performing rotation. I would think that they would observe the tires and condition while performing this task. Drivers seat and all mirrors including rear view were moved to inoperable positions as if it was a joke or something. Once again I trusted this work to your Service Department with disappointing results. I wondered during my entire 1,912 mile trip whether or not they even changed the oil or rotated the tires as I asked. I think Ill find a different location or dealership I can trust for future service no matter how far I have to travel.
The guys at James Wood were great. I felt welcome and not push to buy what they wanted but rather have a conversation of what I was looking for to fit our needs. My Salesman Chris and Manager Alex were second to none, honest people and upfront. Im really happy with my purchases.

They took the pain out of buying a car and I was in and out in just barely over an hour to pick up my new Buick!
I had a really hard time getting a hold of anyone about my vehicle. There was never a time that I called and it was answered, and usually my call back was 1-2 hours after I left a message. Also, a simple tire change took 4 days to complete and was not done until the day after I was told it would be finished. 4 days is too long for routine maintenance, but at the very least, it should be finished on the day conveyed to the customer. Otherwise, it’s better to estimate later

My mom and I came in to purchase a brand new GMC Terrain this past Saturday. Ms. Melanie Gregg was our sales representative. She greeted us with a great smile and warm personality. She went over all of the specs of the vehicle and answered all of our questions thoroughly. She explained all of the exciting technology GMC had to offer and all of the safety features as well. The process was simple and quick, but Ms. Greg made sure we knew all of the crucial details. We test drove the car several times to really get a feel for the vehicle and once we decided to go for it, Melanie walked us through the entire process of purchasing. Don was a delight to work with as well. If I ever have the chance to recommend someone to James Wood Buick-GMC, I would send them straight to Melanie. Shes the best!
I had appointment at 4:00 on Fridayfor a oil change, but got there at 3:30 .My car sat there for 1hr and half and ,when I got there was about 5 person in front of me and by 4:30 I was the only one there and my was still sitting there and sat there to 5:30 until my car was ready.Your employee sat around talking on there phone and eating while my car sat there and they I was upset so they give me $10 off but I don’t know if I’ll come back there

BJ is an awesome professional polite attentive and with great knowledge about the vehicle i did purchase he took all the time of the world to explain everything that my Denali is loaded with.This is the second time since 2018 that i purchase a denali and Since that time BJ is and will be my sales Guy! !!! The facility is great , clean and all the staff since to be dedicated to the clients, the signing process was flawless i spend probably 7 min and the technology WOW!!! signing on the surface of the desk… Sweet!!! Went in to replace a broken headlight on my Sierra. After installing a couple OEM replacements, we unfortunately werent able to match the headlight color to the original light. Edward and Doug in Parts were very helpful throughout this ordeal. They went above and beyond to understand the issue and keep me updated in their back and forth with GM, even offering exceptions when they didnt have to. As wonky as it is having two different color headlights, Parts showed outstanding customer service. Will be back with my business for future GMC purchases.
Tyler Mayfield bent over backwards to make this happen for us! Even driving to Denton from Decatur and back again so we could pick our truck. Unfortunately, James wood would not honor our GM discount we have depended on for years nor would they discount the cost of running boards which we now have to go pay to have installed. This in no way reflects Tyler but his supervisors/James Wood.Overall, very happy because we finally got a new truck and the one we wanted. Tyler was awesome to deal with and very patient! He was VERY knowledgeable on all the features of the truck and very comfortable explaining how to set up the different users. We would come back just for him.
After several attempts to get images of a vehicle on the lot and a price so I wouldnt waste my time driving 89 miles if I wasnt interested all I received were stock images of a red Jeep Wrangler Unlimited when I was looking at a White one. No interior images. No price. The sales Manager got involved and when I explained that all I wanted was to know the sales price of the vehicle and to see images he said he would get back with me. The next email he informed me that she (the last rep) had already answered my questions. That was awful!
Everyone was kind and helpful. But Wendy Deter goes above and beyond. Wendy was so great about letting me do multiple vehicle test drives. She helped me weigh the pros and cons of each vehicle comparatively. When it came down to the vehicle I chose she had paperwork ready on the new car and had my loan application approved with trade in estimate on my old car. She treats us like family and makes us feel welcome and cared for. We’re not just a dollar sign to her. She has never tried to high pressure us into a deal we weren’t ready for. When I picked up my vehicle there was greasy hand prints on the hood, chrome grill, lower driver door, and side step. I advised the young lady at the check out desk and she did not even acknowledge my complaint. When I got in my vehicle to leave I noticed oil on the steering wheel. The wheel lock key was also left in the passenger door pocket, that is not where it was retrieved from. I was not very pleased with the cleanliness of your crew. I didnt drop my vehicle off that way so obviously I was disappointed to pick up dirty.
I would not recommend anyone to buy or service their vehicles from James Wood. Whoever is in charge of service should be re-evaluated. The staff appear to have no desire to assist and communication is non-existent. The ONLY positive about this experience was the young lady running the desk when I dropped off and picked up my truck from collision repair.
I brought the vehicle in for a seat repair (2nd time) ,vibration while driving the vehicle. Also, an air conditioning problem (2nd time). I was told three of the four tires were bad (only had 500 miles on them) and they were out of road forced balance. Replaced all four tires and the vibration remains, the air conditioning problem was not resolved as the actuator door continues to cycle as misc. time.
At present Im leasing a Buick Encore. This is the second Buick Encore i have leased from James Wood Buick-GMC. The reason I do business with James Wood Buick is because of the superior customer service at this location. Their sales department is great including the sales manager. They are great and above the competition because they dont only sale you a wonderful car of suv. They back it up with amazing service after the sale. The service department is outstanding all the time. This last visit is no exception. It was so great I want to let you know about 3 of your employees that made it a pleasure doing business with your company. First my service advisor was genuinely friendly and efficient. he answer all my questions and took care of my car expertly. Next I want to recognize 2 admin women who were outstanding. Friendly, courteous, polite and gave me incredible customer service. They are far above others in the field. They really made my visit a EXTRAORDINARILY great. Their names are Mayra Valdez and Maggy Adams. This is the reason there is no doubt in my mind were Ill be coming for my next car or SUV. Weve purchased many vehicles from James Wood going back to the mid 1990s and the buying experience has several qualities in common: Great people, great service, consistent delivery on whats asked for in the type of vehicle and of course great deals (trade in, financing and sales price).
This is our second new truck purchase with James Wood. We have always gotten great service in every department, from sales to the service department. I have closer dealerships to my house, but always make the trip to Denton for any maintenance, just due to the trust factor.
Called on a friday to make an appointment for an oil change to check for oil shavings in the oil which was told to the receptionist and she made the appointment for Saturday. We went to drop off the car and the lady advisor we talked to said that is a Monday-friday job and we would need to bring the car in during the time to have the technician look at it. We made the appointment for 7am Wednesday. We dropped the car off at 7am, which you didnt have any rentals that day so we were down a car. At 2pm I had still not heard anything from anyone at the dealership so I called to attempt to get an update. Our advisor Taylor was apparently already gone for the day due to an emergency, which I understand but someone should have been in contact with an update. The receptionist told me my car was going through a wash, but still didnt know what was going on, I was told we had a back up advisor and to leave a message and she would get back with me. Well needless to say I never got a call back do the car was left there overnight without an update. On Thursday I had to call again to get an update and was told the master technician is taking a look and they would get back shortly. Well they didnt find anything so we picked up the car later that day. It was the most unorganized process ever dropping the car off at a dealership, we wont be back and the car will be taken to Classic from here on out.Crista Gardner

Shellie jumped on our request for a very specific and detailed new vehicle that there was only one of within 300 miles of us and within a few hours she was having it brought in from out of state. We closed the deal extremely quickly on the same day and with zero hassle. I had an appointment for maintenance at 10:50am and I didn’t get it back till 6:00pm. I had no idea I would be without a vehicle all day and as a result of that I put two families out. I was very embarrassed and had to have your service vehicle come pick me up from one the families who had helped me that day.If I had of known it would be an all day thing I would have asked for a loaner car.Thankfully I was not charged the $45 for the work that was done.With all that, everyone I dealt with was extremely pleasant. Hopefully my experience was one that is rare or if not a heads up that I will need a loaner would be nice.
Tammy in the service department is a superstar. There are far a few in between that offer the level of service she provided me. She kept me informed the whole time my car was in the service department. Train more like Tammy. She made the long wait for the repair less stressful.

My experience with James Wood dealership was awesome! The salesman Chase Whaley was beyond professional. I live far away and he made the buying experience feel as though I lived in the same city. He always responded to calls and texts immediately. He was very professional and was able to answer all questions about the truck without a second guess. I made an appointment with Jarrett, everything worked out as planned, no surprises. Truck finished in a timely manner. The Truck was very clean inside and outside. The cleaning folks are to be commended!On another note I would prefer a more conservative TV Station than that was on. FOX News would be appropriate..
We returned to James Wood to purchase our second vehicle not only because it was a great deal and experience with the staff, but also because of the sales person Melanie! My vehicle purchase from James Wood was by far one of my best dealership experiences. My salesperson BJ Worley made buying my Sierra 1500, so easy. He is knowledgeable and able to answer any questions. He beat everyone elses prices and was straight forward. He was a man of his word (hard to find these days)! After the sale he spent at least an hour going over all the features. He left me with his personal phone number in case I had further questions. What an asset to have working for your dealership. I was so impressed. Kudos to BJ for a job well done.
Melanie was great! She was super quick to respond to my inquiry via phone and worked with me to ensure I was 100% satisfied with my purchase. Tim the service adviser was helpful in explaining his initial thoughts and opinions to my vibration issues and kept me informed after the technician did his analysis. The issue seems fixed and resolved now. Definitely the service was excellence in both the experience and in the monetary value. The only reason for not giving the 5th star is they returned my vehicle unwashed and dirty. I have never had to asked for a quick rinse in the past, so not sure why this was not done nor offered? Other than that I will service with James Wood GMC again in the future.
Brought my truck in for service. I needed to have my airbag light turned off and to possibly have my BCM reprogrammed with the new ABS module number to do so. I told the service writer what I wanted...or so I thought. a few hours later, I asked the service writer what the status of my truck was. They told me the mechanic calibrated the BCM and the airbag light was still on. Frustrated they did not do what was needed, I left as I had to go to work. As soon as I went to get into my truck I noticed the systems the BCM controlled (the module they said they recalibrated) were no longer working correctly and many features were now erratic.Looking at my receipt later, the service writer did not even list what I said I wanted done correctly on the work order. I went back a few days later to give them a chance to make both things right. I spoke with the same service writer. They were very indifferent, rude, argumentative, unhelpful, unprofessional and all they kept telling me was We did what you wanted. NO, they did not do what I wanted as what I wanted was not properly written up in the service order!Speaking with the service manager was actually great! He was everything the service writer was not. He seemed genuinely concerned. I explained to him the issues and what was now wrong with my truck that was NOT before I brought it to them. He had the unhelpful service writer set up a second work order to have the mechanic look at my truck again.later that day I was called and told I need a new air bag module. I declined the repair this time. Upon picking up my truck, it was clear they did NOTHING to fix the issues created when I brought my truck to them in the first place.I have since taken my truck to a different service center. They told me the BCM was somehow damaged and that was what was causing the issues. I had it replaced and the issues I had after taking it here were all corrected. Coincidence? Perhaps.I have decided I will NEVER set foot on this property again as I was charged $90.00 (and told they were cutting me a deal) to have them possibly damage my truck and do NOTHING to look into or resolve the issue. This is sad as the parts department there has been very good to me going above and beyond to help me find hard to find parts for my older vehicles. But I cant overlook how myself and my truck were treated by the service department.UPDATE: Seeing their response is nothing more than a canned cut and paste response used on many other negative reviews, it is clear they do not care about customer satisfaction. It reinforces my decision to not set foot back in this place and I urge others to please do the same. There is a chance they will damage your vehicle and do NOTHING to correct it!!
Well my truck has been in 3 times for the steering wheel not being straight. Still not straight. This last time it was in I never even got a phone call letting me know it was ready for pick up, I had to call and find out myself as my service advisor letleft early. Then you guys trying charging me for the work done. My truck has been in for a total of 5 days and only one of the issues have been resolved... not impressed at all.
I received an advertisement for complimentary sanitizing my car. Immediately, I was recommended to change my air filter and windshield wipers. My car was cleaned on the outside with perfection. However, to sanitize my vehicle the inside was left uncleaned. To me, placing sanitizer on top of dirt inside my car is just not clean and I did not like the way it was sanitize. I would have liked the vehicle cleaned inside and out and then sanitized. That was my sole purpose of having my service was for the sanitized.
Bj was absolutely amazing in the whole experience! I am a college student with no credit. We came in not wanting to buy just yet and he was very understanding and told us our options. I was not in love with anything that was on the lot and then found something I was in love with at another dealership. Bj jumped through hoops and did back flips to make sure I got the car I loved with the price I could afford! Once we got pre approved, Bj even offered to come in on his day off so I didn’t have to wait to get my new car! I absolutely loved the experience and will definitely be recommending him to EVERYONE!
Our salesperson, Melanie, was outstanding. Having knowledge of the product (Equinox) you are purchasing obviously goes a long way in the decision making, but what two things made it even easier was the lack of the pushing of the sale, and the fact that she actually seemed as though we were talking to a friend and they were just giving us car details. This was by far the easiest and most pleasant experience I have ever had purchasing a car. Melanie Gregg is an absolute rockstar and I would recommend asking for her if you make your way to this dealership. What makes my experience even better is that I was coming back from overseas so all of our interactions were either by phone, text, or email. They even went so far as to make me a video of my car on YouTube so I could see it. She jumped through hoop after hoop to get me in my dream car and I could never thank her enough. Financing was easy, customer service was great, transportation of my vehicle wasn’t a hassle or headache. There is nothing I can remotely point to as an issue. If it were this easy for me to buy a car halfway across the world, I can only imagine how easy and great another persons experience would be. Several months ago we visited at least a dozen dealerships looking for a 2019 mid-sized SUV to replace our still perfect 2003 GMC Envoy. At James Wood we worked with Jacob Wood (no relation!) and decided on a GMC Acadia Denali, but then decided to wait for the 2020s. Were so glad we did. Jacob was still there and was absolutely wonderful - from the loaners to scouring the lot for colors to the equipment and accessories - right through the sale. The entire process was a fun, wonderful experience. No pressure. Nothing was a problem. He couldnt have made it easier and we can say the same for everyone we met at the dealership. This is a very well run business.
James Wood will forever be my go to dealership and SHELDON will be my go to salesman! He not only is intelligent and knowledgeable about his business but has also always been extremely kind and respectful of my budget. I never felt pressured to upgrade or take on a payment I wasn’t comfortable and confident in being able to maintain. He made the whole process so easy! Our family has bought a few cars from him now and will continue to do so. He’s easily become part of the family over the years!
I’m disappointed how it took to get my service. That first time it took an hour and 15 minThis time it took over 3 hours. That is unacceptable. They should have said because they knew I was waiting. I finally said something then all of a sudden my truck was ready not acceptable. Not good
We dealt with a very cordial salesman named B. Rollins. He treated us very nicely and let me take my time in making a wise decision for my family. I want to thank James Wood dealership for being committed to conducting business in such a quiet and relaxed manner.I went to a second dealership today as well and, from the moment I walked in the door, sensed a very hurried and bustling atmosphere (from even the very fast paced music they had blaring, made me think I was going to be ram rodded through with a deal on a vehicle I had yet to see)... Which I did not appreciate. All I wanted to do was look at the vehicle, and was almost immediately asked for my drivers license for my address info... WHAT IS UP WITH THAT!? COME ON! I dont even know if I like the vehicle! I havent even seen a picture of the vehicle! What are you doing asking for my drivers license? Everyone I had contact with was very friendly and courteous. I felt like a valued customer. Scotty Rice was the salesperson that worked with me on the purchase of my new vehicle. He was very helpful assisting me in getting familiar with the operating of the vehicle. He assisted with setting things up, etc.
One of the easiest, most pleasant car buying experiences in my 78 years. BJ, my salesman, was up front and honest with every word spoken, and even checked to be certain he was right on a couple of occasions. I could have gotten 2500 dollars more for my trade in at another store, but decided to bite that bullet to get the vehicle my wife wanted, a GMC SLT, AWD Terrain. I dont often give up 2500 dollars, but the treatment I received before, during, and after the completed buying process, as well as my wifes love of her new Terrain makes it all worth the effort. Vehicle was not returned until 10:30 after basic inspection.Value: 1 out of 5Expect to pay sticker prices for even basic repairs. Got quoted $1369.32 for ONE front left strut assembly (actual part was not available) install. By comparison Firestone quoted $1054.50 for the same OEM part and install. Pep Boys did not have OEM but offered Rancho alternative for TWO shocks for $997.98 installed.Customer Focus: 1 out of 5After an hour an a half of waiting, was told that OEM part was on backorder. I asked about alternatives, and was told that they needed more time to figure it out. Not sure why the problem was brought to me without a solution being shown at the same time. It took another half an hour to find out a solution. Sticker priced.Friendliness of Staff: 5 out of 5People are friendly. I was asked several times if I was being helped. Even my service advisor, I believe, at the core is a good guy. But the business model is broken. It’s profit first. People second. I run a sporting goods business in North Richland Hills - I know the pain of being in the parts and service business. Dealerships could do a lot better.
Although there is always room for improvement, my overall experience with purchasing my new GMC truck from James Wood in Denton Texas was very enjoyable! Melanie Gregg, our salesperson, stuck with us for several days, as she tirelessly scoured the state for the vehicle we were looking for! Just picked up a used 4Runner from Daniel in Internet Sales here. Excellent service!!! By far the easiest purchase I’ve made. Everything was clear and provided up front. Trade in was seamless, and the new-to-me car was cleaned exceptionally well! Definitely would recommend this dealer to friends.
I had only had my certified pre-owned Buick for 3 weeks when the check engine light came on. The team worked me in as soon as possible. When they were finished, the car needed a new valve cover which was replaced at no charge. I had requested the vehicle be detailed given the previous weeks weather and it looked brand new when they handed the car back over to me.
Experience here was absolutely wonderful. William Youngblood was by all means hands down very informative and knowledgeable even though we did not purchase a vehicle from him due to financial restrictions. I must say he is a great sales man and would definitely recommend him and will be back to purchase a vehicle in the next few months to come.
Tammy was great to work with, but after spending almost $1800 to have my car repaired, I got home and got back in it a while later and it wouldnt start. It just seemed like one thing after another. First the fuse block, then they put that in, but it wouldnt start. Then they replaced the ECM and I got it home and it wouldnt start. Now its back up there and needs a new starter because of the work that was done on the car. Its now been there for over 2 weeks! I brought it to you guys since you know Buicks, but I dont seem confident that your guys know what they are doing.

Called to make service and recall appointment and was told it would take 1.5-2 hours. Almost 3 hours later I had not received any updates, told they were running behind and my Service Consultant Tammy W left, without telling anyone, before my vehicle was done being serviced.Tammy did not put my extended warranty policy on the bill so when my vehicle was finally done the cashiers had to get another Service Consultant to change the bill. It was an unprofessional experience from start to finish. I will be driving to the further location in Decatur next time for my service needs.On the plus side, Jesse McWilliams was a great sales consultant and would highly recommend him for your next vehicle purchase.
I looked at several Chevy dealerships prior to James Wood - most did not even have the inventory that was posted on their websites. I contacted James Wood online and William Youngblood responded quickly even though it was late. I met him the next day at the dealership, and the Tahoe I was interested in was pulled up to the door waiting for me. I didnt have to wait on William, we test drove it right away. The price was just as advertised, no surprises and no add-ons. Everything went smoothly and very quickly thanks to Williams pre-planning. The whole transaction was less than a half hour. Ive lived in DFW all my life and Ive always heard good things about James Wood. My last car purchase at a different dealer was 15 years ago and not the greatest, so the James Wood experience was a pleasant surprise and very much appreciated. Id highly recommend both William and James Wood Autoplex. Everything was so easy!
Edit, I was able to get a portion of the excess fees removed by GM Financial. Adjusting up a few stars because of the follow up and assistance James Woods gave after the fact. Mike Loch was willing to help, provided details, information, and helped me contact the GM Financial folks for final resolution. Thanks Mike.This was the first and LAST time well be leasing or doing any other business with James Woods. We turned in Buick WAY under mileage and in pristine condition. NO explanation as to why or what caused these excess fees weve been blindsided with. It has been 1 month since we returned the car and we just now get a bill due in 4 days!! The bill totals to more than 3 MONTHS payment!!!! Horrible deceitful service, why would anyone think they could regain customers by doing this?? The woman we turned the lease into provided no information and seemed completely out of it, just took the keys and sent us packing.
They can do better with customers who have the Blow Device installed in their vehicle, due to a DWI. Im not proud of actions and take ownership for my actions!! So, please no rude or nasty comments regarding that! I beat myself up enough and dont need help with shaming me! Im sure Im not the only person with this issue. They system for dealing with this type of issues is......The Dealership has to contact the business that controls the device. Which is rather frustrating and finding the ability to actually speak with someone immediately does not work! The dealership has to contact the company that controls the device in advance of the scheduled appointment for the repairs.I am not allowed to be given those codes directly for obvious reasons. One of the James Wood service attendants, tried calling but was placed on hold for over 15 minutes. This should have been done previously to my scheduled appointment.So the gentleman found someone in their shop who was willing to learn how to use the blow device to start my vehicle.I provided that gentleman with my two extra Blow Attachments that were sealed in a plastic bags.... one for him and one for the mechanic. So I walked him through the process and then had him do it on his own without my help.He advised that he would make sure that the head mechanic was aware of this process.So when the vehicle was completed. I was paying the cashier who sent out a employee to bring my car into the sheltered garage. However, he was not told that he needed the Blow Attachment in place and ready to blow once he started the vehicle.(*Note) I had place my personal Blow Device Attachment in the center console, so when my car was ready to be picked up, I could change the Blow Attachment back to my personal one.After finishing my business with the cashier I stepped outside to wait on my vehicle, and noticed the man who was sent to get my car throwing his hand up in the air motioning, that he didt know what to do.So, I ran back to him and attempted to locate my personal Blow Attachment, but was unable to find it right away! So I ran back to the cashier asking if the staff that received my spare Blow Attachments were their because my personal one was apparently moved to a different location. She informed me that they were off for the day and immediately called one of them via phone got one of the techs to explained where it was.If you dont know anything about these Blow Devises, you cant allow your car to continue running and the device alarm sounding off waiting for you to blow into it. Otherwise, the device will go into a lockout mode and you will no longer be able to start the car again until you make contact with the device caretaker, which could take a day or two.I just wished that 1.) They had contact the company for the bypass codes prior to my appointment.2.) And that they actually shared what was needed in order to start my vehicle once it was repaired.Very frustrating and totally avoidable!

2022-01-14I needed my passenger mirror fixed due to my own fault backing out of the garage. I went to have them replace and it and they were very nice and super quick and got me in and out. I would give 5 stars but that evening I realized you could no longer open the passenger door from the inside. It was working fine before but now it wasnt. We called up to service center and they told us to bring it back. I had to take off work again to get the door fixed that they admitted they did not put back together the correct way. Everything else about my experience was great, everyone was nice and they were quick in getting the door put back the correct way.

From the very beginning, William Y. was eager to help us and answer any questions about the vehicle we were interested in. He always answered our questions in a timely manner, gave constant updates on the delivery of the vehicle, and even managed to find us a better deal than what we originally agreed upon! I definitely recommend them if you’re looking to purchase a new vehicle as they will definitely take care of you!

2022-06-06My wife and I had been in the market for a new SUV because we are looking to start a family. After visiting several dealerships over several weeks, we almost gave up looking. We decided to give it one more shot and reached out to Matt at James Wood Buick GMC and with no pressure, no hassle, Matt was able to work with us and give us a heck of a deal on a GMC Terrain, along with his finance manager Juan. 2022-05-31James Wood has always been my place to purchase all my vehicles. This place is like family to me. Always inviting and welcoming easy experience to purchase car, truck or SUV. With the trust & family atmosphere there. There is no reason to really go anywhere else to look for your new car needs. Even working with someone new like I did with Cole Fellers this time. He also continued that ease and comfort of buying my new truck there. He was patient & listened to my indecisiveness until I finally made my decision. No pressure just me making the choice that best suited me. Again this is the reason I always go back to buy my new vehicles there at James Wood Buick-GMC.

2022-04-12I have been buying cars from James wood denton for about 10-15 years now. I believe I’ve bought 6-8 cars. Mostly dealt with Greg and the pre owned team. Bought my first brand new truck now. As my finances increased along with my credit, I’ve been able to step up each time and buy something better at each purchase. I’ve experienced the same great service and treatment every time which has kept me coming back. From the time I bought a used junker from the cash lot up until last week when I purchased a 2022 GMC Sierra, I was treated the exact same along with everything in between. I love being apart of the James woods family and am so appreciative to have y’all in my area to work with. Thanks for all y’all do. Here’s to many more years and many more purchases. 2022-04-28I just spent over $1400.00 for a 100,000 mile service on my Sierra. You would think for that amount of money they would check everything on it. Front to back, top to bottom. This should be so that the vehicle was safe to drive for another 100,000 miles. I want to know why they did not check the brake pads or the rotors. Also, why did they not check the tread depth on the tires. Additionally, why they did not check the battery or the electrical system (other than replace the plug wires). They knew they had those things to do because there is a box on the inspeciton sheet for them. However, they just checked the box that said Inspection Not Taken. Please explain to me how this disregard for customer (Me) safety is in the best interest of James Wood.

2022-02-25I am pleased with Jacob Wood as a salesperson. He takes his time and is very knowledgeable about the vehicle you are buying. I paid $1500 over the msrp for the truck I bought and i was disappointed about that, considering that i just purchased a new C-8 from them in September of 2021.
