The dealership advertised online through Car Guros and when I wanted to purchase a car they abruptly backed out of the deal saying they only wanted to sell to local people. Why advertise online? There was no disclaimer that they only sell to local people. In 2021 this is how this dealership operates. I will take my 100k money somewhere else who understands customer service. The Sales manager Will was very arrogant! Stay away!
The entire experience with James Wood Cadillac took less than 2 hours to look at car, purchase, and finance the vehicle. The sales (Phillip Surles) and finance (Sheldon Jeffcoat) guys were great.The Dealership delivered mu SUV to my home the next morning as I requested.I have owned a Cadillac before I wanted the quality and service you get with the Dealership. I am a very happy customer and recommend the Cadillac XT5. Great mid-size SUV.Call them if you want a great vehicle.
The first time we have dealt with this dealership but we were very pleased to see their professionalism. We appreciated their ability to work with us on our trade and within our financial parameters. We did not sense any pressure to make fast decisions, or even buy on our first visit to the dealership. Their website was accurate and we found the car that we purchased online and it was available when we visited the dealership.
I am so grateful to James Wood dealership for helping me attain the ONLY THING on my bucket list and that was to drive my Cadillac and my sales Rep DeeAnn made that happen. She expressed joy in helping people like me attain my goal because in reality i had to work very hard for it. DeeAnn deals with customers all the time who is financially able to come in and write a check for these cars, not me, she had to really juggle things for me to walk out the door with my dream car. On September 5th, 2016, I picked up my 2017 XT5 and I am totally thrilled with my purchase. James Wood Cadillac has done it for me the 4th time by providing me with an extraordinary ride.My sales lady Indy Ibarra was phenomenal, knowledge, funny, and friendly. She gave me new Cadillac school after all paper work was out of the way. She went over my XT5 from front to back, inside and out with me, also told me to contact her with any other questions or schooling I need.All employers need a person exactly like Indy Ibarra.. Mr. Wood you got the very best in Indy..!!!4-21-22 Doug Spivey was my go to guy when I had any issue with my XT5, I regret him move to GMC but I understand why he did. We just bought a new XT5 from James Wood Cadillac this week, and it was without a doubt the most pleasant, easiest car buying experience we’ve ever had! Our salesman, Don Gibson, was wonderful! No high-pressure, uncomfortable, pushy sales pitch at all. He was extremely friendly and helpful, and made the whole experience a breeze! We really enjoyed working with him. We came to a deal on the vehicle pretty quickly, and feel like we got a very fair price on it. We got to the dealership very close to closing, so it was too late to finalize everything and take delivery that night, so Don arranged to have someone deliver the vehicle to our house the next day (all the way in Frisco!), and had the paperwork ready so I just had to drop by after work and sign everything. (He offered to have the papers brought by to let me sign at home too, but going by the dealership after work was easier for me.) I figured that would still take a while, but I was in and out in no time at all! Quick and easy! As I said, Don was awesome, and I could tell that he reflected the culture at the dealership overall. Everyone we dealt with, from Don, to the sales manager (Will), to the finance manager were incredibly friendly and professional, and made us feel completely comfortable. I honestly can’t say enough about how great this dealership is for buying a new car! Oh, and my wife absolutely LOVES her new Cadillac!
This happens to be the closest Cadillac dealer to my house, but it is also the best. I looked for a 2021 Escalade for a few months. The large dealers were too busy. Did not have good experiences with Crest, Sewell, or Garland. A few others around the area weren’t bad but did not have allocations. I’m glad I went with James Wood as we got it built in 5 weeks. Jeff Mulkey is also genuinely the nicest sales associate I’ve met. The next time I need a GM vehicle I’m coming here again.
Chris is a great sales consultant. Honest, respectful, thorough, and knowledgeable. Made the buying process a pleasure. Tom is an excellent Finance guy. Last week I experienced the simplest and most painless car buying experience I have ever had, when I picked up my new Escalade from James Wood Cadillac. If youre looking for a new Cadillac, YOU MUST speak to Jessica Perry. Shes not your typical car salesperson. She went above and beyond to make the process easy, and even had all our paperwork ready when we showed up to pick up the vehicle. She kept all her promises and we left the dealership almost in shock, because everything happened so easily and just as promised. No surprise fees or add ons like you would expect from a new car dealership. Id give 10 Stars if I could. Thank you Jessica, and thank you James Wood Cadillac!
Only giving 1 star due to Service Department, would give our Sales person Chase 5 stars!! We had a horrible experience in the service department, we make an appointment to have the automatic bright lights looked at because they stopped working. We dropped the Tahoe off Monday AM (9:00am) and got a call Tuesday letting us know it wouldn’t be ready until Wednesday. When we asked what they found we were advised it had not gone back for diagnosis yet. When we picked up the Tahoe on Wednesday we had to ask what they found and what was done. We were told by the cashier who read the receipt there was nothing wrong and it all worked as intended but the auto lights still weren’t working. Then the rental car area wanted to charge us $3 a gallon for gas (we drove less than 50 miles) so my wife was not happy and called Chase our sales guy. Before he could take care of the charges the girl advise they wouldn’t be charging us for the gas. The service person didn’t come speak to us as requested so we left with the issue still not resolved.I explained the issue over the phone to Chase and he found out right away the cause and had us come over to him. He had a tech guy there who came out and showed us why the auto bright lights stopped working in less than 2 minutes. So basically the Service Department had the vehicle for 3 Days when the issue could have been fixed in 2 minutes. If it wasn’t for Chase and the tech guy we would still have an issue and be super unhappy! From now on when we need our 2 Chevy’s serviced we will be thinking twice before using James Wood!! I would expect that the service team of a choice Chevrolet dealership who wants to provide an ultimate customer experience would know the functionality of the vehicles they sell and be able to help customers without wasting 3 days and causing an unnecessary hassle.Thank you Chase for going above and beyond during a horrible experience with the Service Department!!!!
Lost radio transmission on my screen, this disabled me from using my radio and everything else it controlled. Doug and his team took control of the Xt5 replaced radio, all is good. I returned my courtesy vehicle and so far all is well. Thank you Service Department for job well done.This is the reason I bought my XT5 from James Wood Cadillac.
Doug was our service advisor. He was very thorough with the diagnosis and repairs of our car and also checked on a previous repair we had done to the same car a few weeks back - he checked to make sure it was working correctly. We are very appreciative to Doug and look forward to doing more business with James Wood.
I like this dealership-a lot of personal attention with the small town feel. I just went to the dealership for service and found a waiting room stocked with coffee, soft drinks, various kinds of water, all kinds of snacks and nuts, etc. My last dealership had coffee and water and a cookie once in a while. My experience has not been perfect as there was a mixup on my plates but other than that it has been all good. I feel you will like this dealership as they really work at your complete satisfaction
Chase did a great job with me during the process. He made the process of leasing my vehicle quick and easy. The car was ready to go when i showed up and i took it for a test drive. Tom in finance did a great job explaining everything to me, Trevor did a great job helping me and explaining to me the new technology that came with my vehicle. Bought the vehicle in February and this was routine maintenance for oil change and tire rotation. The folks at this location are friendly, courteous, efficient and I have had overall great experiences when visiting. Forgot to mention DeeAnn and her dedication to her customers.
I love my 2020 Cadillac XT6. Thank you for great and easy experience in buying my Cadillac. I came in to test drive several SUVs. Then looking on James Wood website for which one I wanted. Negotiated the price over the phone. Filled out the application online and next day came into to finalize the paperwork (took about an hour). Received a thorough demonstration on the XT6 and drove home. I highly recommend buying your next vehicle with James Wood

I had over $ 2000,00 dollars worth of work done on my car. The mechanics who worked on my car did a excellent job !! One of the items was replacing the LED screen that controls the radio and air conditioning etc... while reinstalling the dash panels the LED lighting was installed to far into the trim panel making it a peer to have a dead spot with no light. I like for the dealer ship to pay to reinstall the LED strip on the dash panel trim. I can see how this could be accidentally done by the mechanic working on it during the day. Because you only notice it at night when the LED strip is on. UPDATE : 04-17-18 They fixed the LED Light Strip on the dash panel trim above the glove box for free. They did a Excellent job ! Also, had other work done as well while i had the car their. Replaced the windshield washer motor that developed a crack in the seam portion of the motor. Fuel system cleaned, oil change, inspection sticker, overall vehicle inspection and tire rotation. I really like this dealership.
If you are going to buy a vehicle at least try this place. In 40 years of buying vehicles this was the best sale and dealership experience. You will be treated like a person not just a buyer or number for quota. They even came to my house to pick up the purchased vehicle for maintenance and left us a loaner during the period. I have never bought a car in 30-45 min, got more than I expected, and ready to walk out the door. Cannot say enough how great of an experience it was.
I just got my new XT5 from Don Gibson at James Wood Cadillac. This is my 4th car from Don at James Wood and I have always been so satisfied with his honesty, kindness and professionalism. He always goes the extra mile to make sure that I am happy and I never doubt that I’m getting the best deal from him. I highly recommend Don Gibson!
I had a few minor issues in the beginning , however the management team and the service department were able to work with me and resolve my issues 110% . Would i by another car from James Wood? Yes i would and I would highly recommend them too. I got an awesome car at a an awesome price.
Courtney was wonderful in setting up an appointment that worked for me and setting up a loaner vehicle. I believe Doug was the service adviser. He was also outstanding and gave me some great tips on using the technology on my XT5. Everyone involved was courteous and professional and demonstrated sincere concern. Thanks folks!
I would give 5 star for the James wood Cadillac for my purchase of Cadillac SRX. Mr.Nival Chavez was extremely helpful and courteous and took care of us from the start to finish. However i do not recommend the service department. Took my vehicle back for service because of some issues, which they eventually fixed it but the people in the service department messed up the car real bad and made it really dirty. My floor mat was all black with greases and so was my driver side door and center console. The exterior of my vehicle was filled with muds and grasses and what not and they didnt even bothered to clean it or at least just give it a wash. Although i had a great experience buying it but wasnt pleased with the service department and how they handled my vehicle.
We selected the Cadillac portion of this large General Motors dealership since my husband wanted an SUV with driver console. They have a wide range of vehicle models, colors, and options. My husband fell in love with the garnet metallic color which is basically a black cherry soda color.
Why I shopped at James wood Cadillac , and made the drive from Plano. The long story.Daniel Lopez answered my internet query.He quickly provided me a listing of escaldes in stock. He also provided me with my requested out the door price and made himself available for further questions.Other dealers had issues with that process. Or they couldnt CPO a used vehicle withoit charging thousands more until you get back to them after finding a like vehicle on another lot that was CPO for the same price , then they could mysteriously do it. To me thats a red flag they dont want to work with you and want to get as much out of your pocket as they can. One in Corsicana provided an out the door price $12,000 higher than the internet price , oh Im sorry it was an internet pricing mistake, someone is correcting that now, 1 week later its still the same.....but they have a price disclaimer to cover theirhuman errorBringing that information to Mr. Lopez , he assured me this was not that kind of dealership. He was absolutely correct. He is an excellent representative of this dealership.He showed my wife and I every unit in our price range. The 3 we were narrowing down to were parked side by side for more detailed comparison. Mr. Lopez let us look and drive providing information as requested. He did not presure a sale , and the internet price was correct. It was the same price whether financed in house or at your loan source. This is the kind of dealership I want to continue doing business with. One that has to make money of course. But they are not out to take all of yours in your first visit. They want long term customers and prove it in their dealing with you. I also got a better trade in allowance than 3 other dealers I visited, and a better price with the dealer discount and the buyer incentives for April made me move from a CPO 1- 2 year old to a new 2020 model. I will always make a drive for better deals and better service. If you dont, you continue to feed the big city mentality of we are the only dealer in town. Make a visit and see for yourself. I am 67 years old, my total dream and my bucket list was to some day drive a Cadillac. I went in this pass Saturday to see what I would have to do to make my dream come true. I was greeted by a wonderful lady name Deanne, at James Wood Auto Park. She told me about the present rebate, the trade in on my little ole car and I am now driving my new XT5 Cadillac!!! God is so great!!! They made a little ole lady dream come true!! :) THANK YOU! :)
Wish I could give 0 stars. The dealership did not fix the problem , left me in the parking lot with no gasoline and a broken windshield wiper. The wiper has cost me $199.00 to fix the motor which they claim they did not break however, it was working when taken to them. I then broke down in their parking lot after pulling out of service because they left me on absolute 0 miles after bringing it in with half a tank (2012 cruze is pretty fuel efficient), they did bring me out gas enough to get to the station where I had to refuel my car after dropping it off with more than enough. A manager then informed me that my broken windshield wiper motor was a Pre-existing condition which it was not, my wipers worked fine on the day brought in. I then took it to another Chevrolet dealer who solved the problem in a matter of 6 hours. James Wood had my car for four days! I will NEVER choose James Wood again or, in all honesty a Chevrolet vehicle. My next car will be a FORD, At least they care about their customers. Oh yeah! Thanks again for the broken wiper motor, really appreciate it

The entire process up until signing was done via phone and email, which makes things much easier than going through the laborious sales process many dealerships in Dallas put you through, many insisting upon you being physically there. Lets just say it was not a Sewell experience. My Cadillac is out of the factory warranty but I took it to James wood cadillac for an oil change like Ive done several times.I felt I was definitely treated differently because it wasnt NEW. The service man mentioned several times in a negative way that it isnt under warranty when I was asking him about an issue im having. I could look past that but what I couldnt over look was the way this one particular man would drive the vehicles that had been serviced back up front.I watched the same man drive 3 different vehicles, going too fast and over the speed bumps as tho he didnt care since it wasnt his vehicle and mine was one of them! I DONT DRIVE MY CAR THAT WAY AND DONT APPRECIATE SOMEONE IM PAYING TO WORK ON MY CAR TO DRIVE IT THAT WAY!SO DISAPPOINTING! I WILL NOT BE BACK!
If I could say NO STARS I would, after having my ATS in/out of this dealership I am very dissatisfied with Customer Service overall and how they handle concerns. I have had my car in for services at least twice in the last 30 days, after calling Mr. Spivey and informing him that the issues that I wanted addressed were still an issue. He arranged for a rental and took my car in for service, after a few days he calls and stated NO PROBLEM FOUND. Fine/ I pick my car up and arrange for the Grapevine Cadillac to give a second opinion, they were able to diagnose my car same day- but now I will pay another deductible due to it being a different service center. I don’t feel I should have to pay that- called to speak with Mgmt. at Denton location once again and was told by Mike to bring the car to him on Thursday and they would fix my car. Well.... it’s not that simple, now I owe Grapevine $232 dollars for the diagnostics. Denton would not pay for it so that the car can be released but stated we will refund you your $100 deductible (will take 7-10 days to get in the mail). So now I will pay for the deductible and the fees at Grapevine. I do NOT recommend James Wood to anyone needing service.
The key to my wheel lock was lost and no one could find it. I called the dealership spoke to Colton who advised he had walked over to the techs work area and found the rag that I had the wheel lock wrapped in but didnt find the wheel lock. I was asked to go to Discount Tire were I purchased my wheel lock set and get the part number and take back to James Wood so they could order one. Not cool seeing that now I have to be inconvenienced. I went for a simple oil change and tire rotation, will everything but simple. Not saying this would happen but all kinds of thoughts run through ones head. They have the key to my wheels, my address whos to say one of the techs gives my key and address to one of their friends and my wheels are stolen from my house. These are things I dont want to think about, but just cant get the different scenarios out of my head. Not happy with James Woods Service Advisors or Techs. I may just start taking my vehicles else where.
For some reason they refused oil change service on 2015 Tahoe. Same exact motor as the Cadillacs, but wouldnt change my Tahoes oil. I was told to go over to the Chevy dealership, so I took it over Classic Dodge and will continue to go there. Not a single other customer in sight at the Cadi dealer, it was just me parked in the service advisor area, unreal.
I was called by James Wood to bring my truck in on Thursday morning 7:00am, I did that and They had my vehicle for all of Thursday and until after lunch on Friday and did not do any work on it at all, did not even look at the truck, just parked it. I decided to go and get my truck, will take to another dealership. I got the feeling that if a customer give a negative survey you get treated negatively. This is such a disappointment after the great service I received from the Sales Team when I purchased the truck.
Recently came to James Wood service department from another Cadillac dealer, as it wasnt up to par and so far after 5 service appts on 2 different vehicles, JW is the same as the previous dealerships below par experience, but, vehicles have light interior, and the mechanics have gotten black grease all over everything theyve touched! Including the exterior of the vehicle. Spoke with Doug about this, and he made every excuse as the why it wasnt the mechanics whod placed it there.............REALLY???? I cant speak for the sales dept, but for your service needs, BEWARE!!!!!!!!

Apparently my truck had been hit by lightning, and needed a new ECM. This happened, 2 days I was going out of town on a camping trip. They said they would do their best, to get my vehicle diagnosed and fixed as soon as possible. They jumped through hoops, and got it fixed, and back to me just in time for my trip. I couldnt be happier, or more grateful for their efforts and consideration of my situation.
In my opinion, the service department of this dealership made the wrong call about my warranty complaint that the clips, which hold the plastic cladding to the passenger side of the front bumper, came loose. The service department said that the clips came loose, due to impact damage. There is NO tangible evidence that the bumper had impact damage, as the physical evidence of such an action would leave either a visible scrape, or warped surface on the plastic cladding, neither of which exist. I have had clips come loose from my Pontiac Vibe and my Chevrolet Colorado; it seems to be a common problem with GM vehicles, but clips on a Sonic are harder to access. I will NEVER return to this dealer, or buy a GM product, again. BTW, I investigated owner warranty complaints in the home repair industry for 23 years, so I know quite a lot about the characteristics of physical damage to structural materials.
My seat belt is broken from them having to remove the headliner, my glove box was rummaged through, my car was left out in the sun and it overheated the gasket between the dash and the windshield so that it came out in pieces when I used my sun screen, and the superficial scratches on the roof were not buffed out while they were fixing the hail damage on the roof. Now I have to go BACK and disrupt my schedule and use my valuable and limited personal time to get these problems fixed.They fixed the hail damage, though, so thats something.
Robert Capestany and Juan Olivares both handled the sale and the paperwork in 20 minutes. Very efficient and no high pressure sales talk. Of course, I am a repeat customer of Roberts so I knew he was awesome but this experience keeps his legend alive. Could not be more pleased!!

2022-07-06Shock absorbers on our Cadillac Escalade ESV are leaking oil with resulting rough ride from having lessoil in the shock absorbers. Shocks were replaced at 75K miles and now at 151K with the precisely sameproblem as at 75K. We were told the shocks were defective at 75K and needed to be replaced at a costof $3,000.00. However, now that these replacement OEM shocks need to be replaced again, at theexpense of GM, they are seen as not defective enough to replace under warranty. By definition, anyshock absorber that leaks oil is defective. GM came out with a service bulletin January 2022 thatbasically states that the car must be completely incapacitated to warrant a replacement of the shocksunder the lifetime warranty and I assume the same policy applies for Cadillacs within their initial 50Kwarranty. I expect that GM was spending too much money to replace these shocks under warranty,new cars included, and created the new service bulletin of this year. It is very apparent that GM doesnot stand behind its cars and products. It should also be noted that the GM extended warranty offeredon new Cadillacs does NOT cover these shocks on any vehicle. Obviously GM KNOWS their shocks will fail between 50K and 75K and will not cover same to be replaced. As a result of the backlash from these failed shocks over many years, GM provided the Lifetime shock replacement warranty. Now, with the new service bulletin of this year, GM has again failed its customers and is eliminating any loyalty to Cadillac and GM. This is an epic failure of GM product engineering, customer support and Dealer service.

2019-01-03I would give a full 10/10 to JamesWood Cadillac.During my vehicle purchase journey, I visited several Cadillac Dealerships around North Texas including some of the most profound ones like Sewell in the Grapevine, Crest in Frisco, Cadillac of Arlington and a few others. The experience with JamesWood was by far the best.Right from the Sales Person Josh to the GM; Will Lewis, everybody did an excellent job to make the whole purchase experience special.I am definitely going to recommend JamesWood to friends, family and colleagues for their Cadillac purchases.I would specially like to call out Joshua Jones and Will Lewis for their exceptional customer service and people skills, which established an environment of trust, and open communication making the purchase possible.The team had patience, empathy and everybody around the dealership acknowledged that a vehicle purchase is both special and a significant investment for an individual.

2021-11-16Needed oil change, tire rotation and state inspection. They asked if I wanted a complimentary wash. Of course I accepted. Dropped vehicle off at 330p and was told it would be 2 hours. Returned at 530p. No state inspection. No vehicle wash. The person at the desk stated I am only a cashier He stated this several times, so I took it that he did not want to assist. Cadillac service use to mean something but no longer does at this dealership. I was treated as if I was inconveniencing the service advisor. Ill find another provider to service my vehicle and another dealership to buy future vehicles.

2021-07-23I took my Cadillac to James Wood Cadillac to have a problem fixed. The service department provided me with a loaner car as my car had to be kept overnight. The service provided was very well done. They fixed my issues and also fixed an issue for a re-call problem while they had my car. When I picked up my Cadillac, it was washed and clean.We have dealt with James Wood Cadillac for the past 6 years and we have always been treated very thoughtfully and with great kindness.
