I worked with Matt Taylor to get into a new traverse. He was quick to respond, and easy to work with. As a single mom it can be intimidating to feel certain you’re getting the best deal, and to feel confident In your purchase. He made it fast, painless and easy. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We purchased a 2021 suburban & noticed some paint defects. So we brought it here for warranty repair of the defects & it took them 5 weeks to fix a couple small issues. Plus they scratched the paint & denting the rear hatch.Now my brand new 2021 suburban has spots all over it where you can see they wet sanded & did not do a good job. Very poor quality of work would not recommend bring any vehicle here
Typical car dealership where if you go just to look at a car a horde of salesman come out of the woodwork like zombies for the kill and dont leave you alone dreaming of a commission not knowing the difference between a v8 or a V6. Ask if the headlight fluid has been changed and they say of course all fluid is changed
Philip our salesman Juan the finance manager and Chase the internet sales manager three class Acts the team that we dealt with was absolutely phenomenal if youre looking for a new or used car James woods dealerships are the place to go as long as this team stays together I will not buy a car anywhere else
Went to buy a used suv and the sales guy did not have much experience and the sales manager had no interest in a high end trade. We just had Lewisville autoplex buy the suv for us so we could get a fair deal on the trade.This dealership has been here for years and this was the 6th time I tried to buy here without success. I am sure by the size of the place they sell cars to people not looking for a fair deal. Or maybe they want one time customers. Either way I would find a dealer that wants your business.
These guys are up-standing and great to deal with. they were very helpful during the purchasing process with us buying the car sight-unseen. We felt comfortable enough to pull the trigger. We got the car and everything was great UNTIL we found some damage that was VERY hard to see under the step plate on the bumper. This is after all the purchased as is, where is documents were signed. We reported it not knowing what to expect. They reviewed their pictures on file and although it was very difficult to see, concluded that they must have overlooked it. They could have easily told us, sorry. But, they had us take it to a reputable repair shop and paid the bill in full to the tune of over $2,000! I call that standing behind your product and not making your oversight/problem your customers problem. Thank you for being a trustworthy and reliable business guys! 100% RECOMMENDED!
This dealership is beyond fantastic. There was two guys who helped us out. One of the guys was named Teddy, he was very helpful, treated us like family not seeing us as dollar signs. Teddy was vey knowledgeable and respectful. The other guy who helped us was “Jake” Jacob he was awesome and very helpful.
Needed a part for my old 1993 Suburban... Tried parts from other auto parts shops, they failed... After replacing the same part 3 times in less than 2 years, I went to the Chevy dealer.... Yes the part cost a little more, but not nearly as much more than I thought... Less than 10% more..... Better part, proper fit. And I bet it lasts a whole lot longer....Good people there too and they knew what they were talking about... I will be back again.
I was having issues with the some electrical components on my new truck and brought it into the service center here. First impression was efficiency and customer oriented service even though they were extremely backed up, this place has a huge inventory and the service staff is only human. Jarrett Abel was my associate to deal with. I was “that customer” on a few occasions. While understanding it’s not his fault the electrical was troublesome, I reacted emotionally at times. He was a great representation of what I hope the rest of the staff acts like, James Wood should visit the shop and explain the raise Jarrett should get! Even if you didn’t buy your vehicle here, take it to them. I’ll be back even though it’s much further than other dealerships.
We went for a second opinion after being told we needed 3 new tires to pass inspection. They told us the truth and helped by letting us take pictures of tread measurements. We did not need three new tires. One was very close and they recommended to replace one. Honest and helpful....if you cant feel secure saying that about your service provider, give these guys a chance to give you a quote
I was involved in a car accident and didnt want anyone repairing my truck except the James Wood Collision Center. I purchased my GMC 2500HD from them just 3 months ago and the experience was incredible so I figured their collision center would be the same.They did a fantastic job and the truck looks the same as when I bought it. The reason why im giving them 2 stars though is because someone from the collision center went through my center console and took all the cash that was in there along with 2 car chargers for cell phones. I absolutely understand that I shouldnt have left money in the center console so I take some ownership of that. But the repairs done to my truck were all in the hitch and truck bed, there was no reason for someone to go through my stuff. The cell phone chargers were out in the open and those are gone now too.The gentleman I worked with on getting my truck fixed was great to work with. I called him a couple of days after I found out my center console had been picked through and reported it to him. I wasnt asking for compensation or anything, I just wanted to make him aware that this was going on and that I was more disappointed in the fact that they had an employee(s) that behaved like that.He too was not pleased with the situation and assured me that he was going to take it to the manager and that the manager would contact me regarding the incident. I havent heard from the manager yet and its been 2 weeks.I really hope whoever took the money and chargers really needed it, but its a bad reflection on James Wood Autogroup.
This last vehicle experience has been a nightmare. I have bought my last 4 vehicles with James Wood for they have the best sales man but the truck i recently bought is a lemon. They are willing to pay off the loan but not give me the money i spent already back in equity on a new vehicle. I have had the truck 2 months and its been in their shop nearly half that time. I feel like im being bullied. Basically stealing my down payment. Maybe because im a single woman? My next review will be with General Motors
Buick, Cadillac, and Chevrolet all in one place. Service is awesome, no sell up. They offer Shuttle Service (reserve ahead) and the waiting area offers full wifi and charging for laptops, tablets etc. Muffins and coffee are also offered. Your comfort is truly catered to.
In general great to work with, new car sales great, body shop, well my rep Jesse was wonderful however beware that if they have a poor relationship with some insurance providers. They will hold your vehicle until payment is made in full from that provider. I have a car there now and its done. Progressive says payment is in process but since JW claims Progressive is a poor pay, they refuse to take anything from them other than the payment. 5 - 7 business days to process, this is rental car insurance cost out of my pocket....I can understand they wanting to watch out for their own interest but putting the end customer last to do so, not a good move.UPDATE: JW addressed my concerns and issued me check for the time lost even though its Progressive that should pay. They stand by their word. Thank you!
Awesome experience!! Glad to find that this place is still big on customer service. I originally went to a Chevrolet dealership in Richardson looking for a 2018 Silverado, the salesman was not very knowledgeable on the truck we were test driving. They did not get to the price I was wanting so I emailed some additional dealerships in the area. Jonathan Brown from James Wood Autopark in Denton called me promptly and told me he was confident he could make me happy. He did, I am now driving a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT, which turns out to be a little nicer than the Chevrolet I was looking at. We communicated by text/email which is easier for me with my work load during the day. I snapped a few pics of my trade in and they were able to work all the numbers up. Once we agreed on a price they delivered the truck from Denton to Richardson , I signed the paperwork, and they drove my trade in back. Super easy, super convenient, and very stress free. Jonathan made the car buying experience the way it is supposed to be, get the price right and be attentive and you sell a car. Even if you do not live in Denton, call James Wood and ask for Jonathan Brown to see how he can help...you would not be disappointed!
Were car people. I mean we buy a lot of cars and mostly Chevrolets. We have done business with a number of different dealers in the metroplex over the years and most were just good. In 2010 we started using James Wood in Denton and in 8 years weve bought 5 vehicles there. I just think they keep it as simple as possible. The stress of buying a car can be very hard to handle. A simple no pressure experience and sales team can make it just that much easier and thats what you get.
The agents attention did not show interest, he was friendly but despite being recommended to us by a relative, the agent did not meet our expectations because he never offered us alternatives. We were totally dismissed without the intention of visiting an agency again. Fortunately, at Autonation Chevrolet North Richland Hills and thanks to the advice of Edgar Rios and Leo we found the financing we were looking for. I wouldnt go back to GMC from Denton

2022-03-25Absolutely love this dealership. Everything was so smooth quick and easy! They did everything they could to get me the lowest price and best payment plan in my budget. Answered all my question , never once hesitated! The first place I have ever been that didn’t try to hide fees! They explained everything and made sure I knew exactly what I was getting before signing papers. Recommend them 100% to anyone wanting to purchase a car! Wendi was excellent! Couldn’t have gotten my dream car without her help! Thanks so much

2022-03-28James Wood has been our family dealership for several vehicles. I just bought my 4th but my 5th will be coming from someplace else. The attention to the little things must have passed on with Mr. Wood, sad to say. We bought a Rouge and the floor mats needed to be replaced, they replace with rubber instead of carpet like was originally there. Car passed State inspection with a torn windshield wiper, which I didnt realize until I needed it. Tires were replaced but vavke stem caps were left off, James Wood logo wasnt removed. Itisnt easy to find a dealership to trust its even harder when they break that trust. Guess we need another Family Dealership.

2021-05-09Had an extra wait as my car was sent under tent rather than garage for oil change.Ended up getting it for free. Manager was polite and professional.Had a light come on which I assumed was from tampering? But ended up being legit. I was skeptical as Ive had bad or unprofessional experience before at this location.I simply will never deal with them again. Lost me as a customer.The sales staff etc is professional, but garage is questionable.
