Horrible. Went to the jewelry counter. Waited 30 minutes to get no acknowledgment or help. They helped everyone but me. Horrible service!!! This place looks like a huge thrift store. Added update: went to jewelry department to pick up a necklace that has broken TWICE now. Will not buy anymore jewelry from here plus the department manager, Ann-Marie was rude as all get out!! Dont make my day bad because yours was!!!
Nice, clean store.. The sale prices make it an affordable place to shop. I get my business casual clothes from here. Their style is professional and fun. The only issues I have is its hard to find my size. Seems like they always have an abundance of one size or another. Maybe look into getting a better buyer or inventory manager. The other issue is the shoe selection. Its not much of a selection. Online is best when shopping here.
Went yesterday and decided to do curbside pickup because my newborn was asleep.Never again! The associate who bought my items to my vehicle threw them straight at me from a distance like if my bags were trash.Even my 5 yr old told me, mommy she is not supposed to throw you things right? It was rude and a disappointing experience.
I have had mostly good experiences at this location. The cashier who opened my credit card was not pushy and was very helpful. Since then I have been back several times to get winter clothes. The prices have gone up so Im glad I got my discounts when I did. Ive only had a problem with cleanliness once. However I dont near their entrance for fear of cigarettes on the ground.
Leisa in the Optical department helped me. Her customer service was top notch. She was professional, courteous and only asked for a smile in return. Leisa is an example that good people still exist in this world. Please recognize Leisa for her awesome customer service skills.
Wonderful staff, everyone was so sweet and helpful definitely enjoyed the shop, only thing I disliked was a certain employee, he was an older gentleman, Jim I think his name was, horrible attitude towards customers and employees, I would hope y’all would rethink his position at this store
We have had a ring sized there and its over a week late and no one will answer the phone. One time it was answered and I was hung up on even before talking to customer service about the status of the ring. I had to get the lead on duty involved. There is no reason for this.
I realize Malls are supposedly dying, but you wouldnt know that from walking through this store. It has a vibrant atmosphere and the staff is exceptional - always courteous and helpful. And the clothes are great. You can get some really good deals if you spend a little time. Id choose this over any box store any time.
My husband ordered me a ring but when it came in two diamonds were missing so we were told that we could take it to the store to exchange or get a refund so we go to the store and the sales lady said she had sold the last one earlier that day and that was fine but instead of trying to show me another ring to replace it she just gave us a refund which I really didnt want.
Price is reasonable in this store. But one of my friend brought a top, on the price that display is $8. But when she pay its $13 she didnt complain and told us after. She doesnt wanna complain coz the line is too long.My point is, I hope they pay attention on putting their display price. Make sure they match on the tag.
The revision to group checkout appears to be an increasingly bad idea vs checkout per department. Checkout is never manned properly and individuals seem very inexperienced i.e., long wait times. Not the store it was, I miss the customer service that once was abundant in the store.
I went looking for a fragrance and met one of the best sales person in Texas, her name is Katrina and yes shes young but dont let her youth fool you she can sell ice to skimos; she was professional, witty, and asked all the pertinent questions, she tried to get other colognes with the same bergamot base scent I was looking for, she was a pleasure, and an asset to J.C. PENNEY.
Caroline was amazing. She was super helpful and made the experience fun. I haven’t had great experiences in the past with this location but Caroline more than made up for that. My husband and I were even a bit difficult shopping for watches and she still had a great attitude. Thank you Caroline!
I made a $600 purchase of several items from the home department. I literally had over 3 baskets, while shopping with my blind grandmother. One sales associate in the home department never asked me for assistance and chit chatted about random stuff with others. I wanted to walk away and leave everything but I continued with my purchase. Francesco checked me out and changed my total experience. He was very patient and even offered assistance after completing my transaction. His customer service was exceptional, because of him I will come back and recommend this location to others!
Still like coming in to look. Found the special formal dress that we needed for a great price. But the checkout lines are long because theres never very many cashier counters open. You can look around the store and go to another less busy counter, but what if they are just as busy and youve lost the place you had in the other line...
The sales in the back for big and tall are a great deal. All of the clothes were folded neatly. I was able to get a shirt and jeans for $23. The two workers Hailey and Vina were really great and helpful during checkout. The store itself is a two story shop that spans a great area with many styles of clothes and shoes. It includes escalators and a elevator. The vibe of the store is clean with a red tint on most of the store.
I had an online order pick up and a return and both are in the same location but they made me wait in line twice to complete both transactions. Makes absolutely NO SENSE. Then, the cashier kept saying she couldnt find my item on my receipt and kept asking me if I had a different receipt. I only made two purchases so it had to be on either receipt. I would have taken a store credit but she said I couldnt do that either. What a waste of time.
I parked on the side of JCP and walked all the way to the door and it was blocked off as emergency exit only. So I walk around the entire side to walk in and go to the escalator only for it to be out of service. I had to go all the way back to the door I came in for the elevator and its 2 people at a time so I had to wait again. I finish shopping and go to a register and its CLOSED... find another CLOSED...walked around to the other side of the store to see a long line at only ONE register. SERIOUSLY so inconvenient
I went just this past sunday to look for a nice little suit for my 5 yr old! I didnt expect much being that its really not suit time easter over an so what but I was surprised they had a nice selection the only thing that bothered me was there was no help on the floor an plenty of clothes were on the floor. I bought a nice suit it wasnt dirty an the price was great i even got 10% off at register.
Great store with all the things youd expect from a big anchor store like jc penny. Prices are very good and competitive for such a large store. The people who work here are friendly and helpful. The selection of items range from toys to underwear to hair salon to luggage to bedding and on and on... They have a decent big & tall section for men too.
They had a new employee working the cash register and it was a disaster. She had no clue what she was doing and it took forever and a day for her to finish. They have good sales every now and then but they need to really work on training new employees. Good selection of black work wear. Good choice if thats the wardrobe your job requires. Not a great mens shoe selection. The salon employees looked like they just rolled out of bed. And that was an observation made just walking by.
I was irate that I had 2 exchanges & 1 return. It wasnt until I was looking for the exchange item that I was informed that I had to go all the way back upstairs. They said theyve had so much theft. Im on a walker so I have to go all the way back upstairs to get the transactions processed... I was so upset that I RETURNED everything. I think they just lost a valued customer bc this is crazy. They saw me w/ the bag why didnt someone be courteous enough to let me know the policy changed? The sales associate & manager could care less that I was upset & hurting from traveling all over the store on a walker where I had total knee replacement!!! This was the poorest form of customer service & I dont think they ever have to worry about me again...
In spite of all of the recent press, this store still has great values and great merchandise.My sales clerk was incredibly helpful today, and suggested combinations that saved me close to $50 on my transaction. The Parks store is great, and I recommend people give it a try.
I was there to pick-up an online item that i boughtThere were only two check-out in the second floor.The quality of the dress i got was aweful, so i have to return it.It took a significant amount of time to try to fall in line again.The good thing though is the air-conditioning works good and staffs are nice
We visited this place a few days ago and the staff was extremely rude. We were at the jewelry counter waiting for someone to help us. There was a small line and when we asked to be seen when it was our turn. We were told it was going to be a while because she was gonna wait until all the other people left, including those that came after us. After about 30 mins we left and wont be back. Horrible customer service.
Wow what a make over JCPenney has undergone! Extremely impressed at the product display and store organization. Was able to quickly find what I needed an an extremely competitive price. Very happy customer. Needed to buy a complete interview outfit, 1 stop shopping - pants, shirt, jacket and tie.
Found great deals on clothes....the fitting rooms were very dirty, floors dusty and hair everywhere. It looks like it had been awhile since they were swept. I was shopping and a sales associate walked by the row of items I was in and asked if that was my credit card on the floor. I looked at it and said no she quickly grabs it and I dont know what happened then. I know I walked go the counter within 3 min to check out and I never heard any page for a manager or a phone call about a lost credit card. Strange?
They had a wide selection of Levis Jeans for my son. I didnt have to check in with a clerk to have my son try the jeans on which saves time and makes me feel less like Im being watched for theft. The lines were not immensely long and there were plenty of registers open to choose from. The part that bothers me is that they wanted my credentials and Im using cash or debit card. I almost felt forced to give them my phone number and address and I really didnt want to but I did anyway.
Went to purchase luggage and the sign had sale prices for about 65% off. However at the register only 50% was taken off. Showed the sales person and manager the sign and they said oh thats only for these. Well there isnt a sign for 50% off and the luggage is right behind the sign. They didnt want to offer the sign price so needless to say I left their luggage with them. No customer service at all.
I Called Monday To See If They Had A Specific Item In Store. At First They Transfered Me To A Different Department and Hunged Up In My Face. I Called Like Almost 5 Times Until They Answered and I Asked If They Had An Item They Said No It Was An Online Item But It Said It Had Some In Stock. Yesterday On 8/4/2020 I Went Physically To The Store and They Did Have It. I Felt Like They Were Lazy On The Phone To Go Physically Check If They Did Have That Item. Even In The One In Hurst. Just Poor Customer Service On The Phone.
Hello. As always, good afternoon. JC Pennys is a good all around store, have bought mamy things over the years, one inpeticular a ring for the wing, on sale of course, best part was the lifetime warranty care plan. Has paid for itself over and over the last 15 years, cleaning, tightening, and replacement if a diamond is lost out of the ring. All at no cost, for life. And if they cannot repair etc. A full refund of original price paid, $3895. The warranty lifetime care package was $299. Like I said its paid for itself the last 15 years. I do recommend this store. This store is totally ghetto. Went to the St. Johns Bay area and they did not have any khakis. I was on my way out and heard a manager walking fast, so I paused just to allow him to pass me. Then the over weight manager asked me if I needed help. Dude, you need help. Need to lose weight. This whole mall is totally ghetto.
Very Organized JCP. Much better than the Cedar Hill location because the cashiers here are professional and friendly. HOWEVER, I HATE that price checkers were removed at all JCP locations. They are very needed for clearance items-especially because the APP SUCKS FOR SCANNING. But like I said, the cashier was very helpful and offered to ring up the price on ALL my items.
The one and only time I stepped into the store for a sale on kitchen bowls, I was taken aback by how one African American woman treated a young man, she wanted money back for an item she had purchased as is, and on sale. When she realized she was not getting her way? She commenced to scream obscenities, to the point of making the young man cry; no one called security , no one helped the young man, no police was called, she kept her rant up, and had a big, fat, smelly man with her. Never went back, I did speak to general supervisor Jim, who was very nice, professional and assured me the woman would never come back in the store.
Was there a few weeks ago, and when I was checking out there was what I’m guessing to be a manager, her name on her tag was Ronda. The lady who was checking me out was very respectful to me and did everything I thought was right, and Ronda was in her ear telling her she’s doing it wrong, that she is checking me out wrong, when the person beside her was doing it the exact same thing she was. Ronda then yelled at her that she was messing up and to leave and let her do it, in front of all of the customers. She then told me she was sorry for the inconvenience and I told her the employee was doing nothing wrong, she then began to talk to me rudely, and raise her voice towards me when she talked. I’ve seen her up at the store more than once and she always seems to be in a bad mood.
Every time I come to the women’s shoe department at any time of day any day of the year, it’s HORRIBLE!! No one to help. Employees walked by, I asked if they knew anyone who could help me, they literally just shrugged their shoulders and walked away. I had to call the manager while in the store to get someone to help and even she was unbothered. I will never come to this jc penny’s ever again. Bad customer service and dirty store. I have pictures to prove it!
It is too damn hot in your store for a Texas summer. Its 100 degrees out. It should be like 65-70 in your store and its like 80. Your employees are miserable in that heat, I can literally see sweat bearing on their foreheads, and as a customer I will stay here for the BARE MINIMUM of time. Im already rushing my wife and thus she is spending less money than she would have.Be smart and lower the temperature.
This is the last time I will ever darken the door of any Penneys. I had bought a small nondescript wallet for a trip out of the country, but discovered it wasnt RFID blocking, which is what I wanted. I carried it back and because I had no receipt, they told me the money would be refunded to a merch card. Im ok with that since I have worked retail as n I understand the reason why. When the lady handed me the card she told me the balance was $5 and some change. I told her the wallet had cost me $14, but yet they were only refunding that amount. She explained this was because I had no receipt. No doubt I was upset and still am. Since when did a store start charging over half the value of an item in order to refund money to a customer who did away with their receipt? Doesnt make any sense, but I will tell everyone I know about this incident and see how many will quit shopping JCPENNEY. Ridiculous!
I happen to be in the Dallas area and a friend of mine needed some updates on clothing, and we decided to stop at JCPenneys. JCPenneys has been a store that has been around since I was a child and it has always given me satisfaction in whatever it was I was looking for.
Good selection and pricing but if youre an associate or retired associate and want to use your associates card it has become a tad comolicated as certain registers wont accept the card and will ask that you go to the back of the store register while they call the manger to ring you up when using an associates card.
STAY AWAY FROM JCPENNEY PORTRAITS. I’ve been going to this location for exactly one year. My daughter has had multiple sessions and I’ve never had an issue with disrespectful staff members until today. The staff has never been the friendliest, but it’s never bothered me until I encountered Tan. Tan was rude and obnoxious. We had an extreme accident in the mall while heading to our appt, so We ran as fast as possible to the portrait area. We arrived 5 mins late, and Tan very rudely says she could not take us because we were late and unprepared. While on the phone telling my mom that they would not take us, Tan was in the background laughing obnoxiously loud and yelling, “tell her the full story, tell her the reason why.” She laughed for so long and so loudly that I couldn’t hear my mom on the other line. When my mom arrived to diffuse the situation and explain the reason for our actions, Tan kept throwing her hands up in my face telling me to stop talking to her. While coming up with alternate solutions to take try and get these photos done, she lied and said there last appointment was at 5pm. However while we were leaving, a family walked up at 5:25, stating that they had a 5:15 appointment.There are many reviews about terrible customer service and now I see why. While this was going on, none of her peers even bothered to take over since clearly she can’t handle her attitude. Tan was Very loud, rude and ghetto. Not sure how she’s even employed.
The cash register at the returns was rude and I didn’t know the transaction was complete until after a 2 min stare and a remark from another associate. If you don’t like your job or don’t feel like being there step away or talk to a manger but don’t be rude to the customer
No direct access to second floor of the parking garage because the doors have been designated fire exit? They are at least quadruple doors with direct access to the second floor of the parking garage where the handicapped parking is. The elevator does not work so you must walk down the stairs to the ground floor entrance. Not a viable option for the handicapped!
When this place does its annual JC Penny Suit up for UTA, you can go home with 400 dollars worth of clothes for 200. Ive gone twice and both times were a tremendous help. On any other day, they still carry nice clothing and provide good sales, but when september comes around, I am so glad I am a UTA almuni! The people were courteous and some will even remember your face. Its a great store found in the Parks Mall near I20.
Daisy and Shyra are the best, so helpful and pleasant. I will always buy from them. Daisy helped me on Saturday and when I went in to make my purchase she wasnt there on Sunday 9/9, Shyra was the sales representative, I just mentioned Daisy name and Shyra said she would share her commission. These are the type of employees anyone should want working for them. Im impressed!
The first time I went here I loved the people! I had to pick up an online order. And when I got over to the counter the gentleman that was helping me was super nice and poliet. And when I said it was hard to find pants in my size (plus size in juniors) he got on the computer and started looking for any that they might have or anymore online! :)The second time I went there to pick up a different order the lady that helped me was SUPER rude and acted as if I was non-important! It was horrible! She talked to me like I was benieth her.
Very rude cashiers when it came to asking a simple question about the price a lady named sharon started catching attitude for no reason as we were paying with another lady named lillian she started laughing with the other one honestly wouldn’t go back as I catch attitude with Sharon she started being nice to others hopefully they learn how to treat people .
It seems like Penneys in Arlington is a ghost town. Theyve changed their pricing again and it looks like they marked it up so they could mark them down and call it a sale period on a more positive note I had them hold and item and it was still there the next day for me to purchase
Went to the JC Penney Suit Up Event for UTA students. They had a lot of good work/business attire options for women. Tons and tons! Its great that JC Penney gets involved like this because lots of students like myself need it and are grateful. Overall happy with my purchases and my experience at this exclusive event.
This past Saturday when I went to JCPenneys inside of Sephora to get my makeup I asked the makeup lady that was there to give me a match fit for the type of makeup I told her that the color time that I was she told me she went to makeup school and she had a lot of makeup then her skin tone okay and I told her I was I was Im a warm Golden so I need something in that color pattern that would fish my skin tone she told me that I was darker than that color is I have not that dark at all in the light skinned apartment Im riding in the middle okay Im in the middle like skin OK I aint dark right in the middle golden tone color color for my skin so I should know what Foundation would fit my type of color and I told her that I was disrespectful at all she tried to match me but she couldnt cuz she was so busy trying to run around doing whatever she told me she be right back she never came back she never came back she told me and five other people shooting to help at the same time and never came back. I dont know what she disappear to I dont know if she had black and white on want the blonde hair one and she very young and she wear makeup thats real lighter than her skin color I went right over here to Spence s Dillards and got my makeup and they was on point everybody she was trying to help when riding over there got them some help and went to hell and got them a little coupon to from Dillards okay I do love JCPenneys but the Sephora section needs more customer service help okay cuz all the other Sephoras that have went to very nice very polite help you out be on point with you when you walk through the door they on point with you they come to help you before you even get in there really good okay and they dont leave you until the time is done and they make sure you happy just need some more customer service help okay thats all I want to say
Went looking for a 2 pair earrings set they had advertised, website said they had some on stock their cashier showed 8 in inventory. None to be found, jewelry dept told me to go check all the registers and if none there then they mustve been stolen. Waste of time and gas...
This store is going downhill quickly. ALL of the shops at the Parks Mall are shabby facsimiles of what they used to be. Save yourself some time & parking agony - go to NorthEast Mall. This mall is a grungy teenage hangout place - with hordes of teen gauntlets to have to get through - just to look at outlet leftovers.
I Will not EVER shop with jcpennys again.. a 100$ swim suit return and i only got back 57$.. not that the value went down but they keep part of my money!! Then tell me that the details of it are on the reciept.. I paid BEFORE i received a reciept and now im out of money... HORRIBLE BUSINESS!!!
Awful first experience. walked in, didnt get greeted then finally, got greeted, I was told my stylist would be with me shortly. then the stylist came up to the register and was asking the receptionist all types of questions and even asking how to say my name. I got brought back to her station, but her child was in it so she proceeded to move her child without telling me what was going on and then finally told me to take a seat. we went through the consultation, she kept asking other stylists how to achieve what I wanted and then proceeded to tell me she couldnt do it in the time alotted. well, interesting because I made the appt for a double process which takes atleast two hours and I used to work at a jcpenney salon so I know how it works. theres 3 hours for a double process color. its okay, I took my business elsewhere.
I bring my mom here to get her hair done. She used to go to Toni and Guy, which was a fine haircut. However, it was pricey, and my mom made a statement that everybody she talked to her that worked there told her they had four children. Maybe, but I ssume it is a ploy for tips. I work in the spa industry. I told herto try JCPenneys. She was nonplussed until I explained to her they get more constant training than any other establishment. She chose not the highest designer but maybe the 2nd or 2nd tear down and absolutely adored the woman. shes been going to her for a couple years now she. Is spectacular! I will always recommend JCPenney salon.
Hi world,I was in JCPenny today I brought a pair of pants and a white skirt. While the sales clerk was taking the hanger off my pants, my white skirt fail on the ground. It was another sales clerk there ,she didnt pick it up, the other sales clerk which was the one who was taking my pants off the hanger ,she didnt pick it up either. So i I leaned over the counter and look down at the ground, then she went to pick it up ,mind you ,it was a white skirt !! I didnt like that at all!!!

2022-05-08The customer service is horrible. I purchased a ring and earrings in February, had the ring sized and had screw backs added to the earrings. The salesperson said they were backed up about 2 weeks. So now it May and I still haven’t gotten my ring. At first the salesperson messed up the paperwork now the people may the adjustments did add the beads, it won’t be ready until June 11th. Just unacceptable!

2018-09-29Our favorite store in Parks Mall Arlington. My wife loves to go there. The best place for clothing needs and home stuff. The prices are reasonable. The sales events run year long. $10 off $10 and $10 off 25 coupons are sent out very often during the year. They have a big collection of seasonal items for all seasons and especially for holidays seson.

2021-12-14Penneys always has been my go to store for good quality clothing. I have been shopping at Penneys for over 56 years, my oldest son had a T-shirt that was worn by 5 others in our family and it cost me only 50 cents, that was a great bargain! 2021-12-28I went to the jewelry department 2 times in 3 days. Both ladies that helped me were very patient, kind and knowledgeable. They even got me to buy a diamond ring when I was there shopping for a gift for someone else. I’m very appreciative for their knowledge and patience. Thank you ladies.

2021-12-05JCPenney need more employees they have great clothes for every size. I just think big and tall need more selection. Where employee can help customer when they need it. We dont need to find you we just need you to be there or the store manager need to sit out and walk around and ask for help if we need help

2017-12-08I was coming in for Christmas shopping for my kids and was excited to see all the sales but watch out.... Its not what it says it is. I thought I would stock up on these fabulous deals of 70%off already marked clearance for Spring/Summer Tees, Tanks, Shorts, Capris, & Swimwear and IT WAS ALL A LIE. The sale only applies to specially marked items not all the ones on the rack below that sign. So of the 20 or so items I had picked up from the rack only 3 APPLIED! I tried to explain and even show them where I got it and they said im sorry it only applies to spring/summer wear.... Oh so these shorts for my daughter are to be worn in the winter?! Then other sale items werent showing correct price and i had to go and get pictures then the cashier went. It was a mess. When it was all said and done and we finally got out of the store after 30min at the register we hit the door and BEEP BEEP BEEP. She forgot the sensor on the clothes so we walked out to figure out which item it was and we found out she forgot to void one of those non clearanced item.... BACK TO THE REGISTER WE GO...... omg.....

2019-10-28I had not been to JCPENNEY in a very long time, actually many years. But I went to look for particular housewares. Fantastic store. What a surprise. Cookware that was just what the home chef within me needed. And got my hair done, I didnt want a cut or neded color but needed a nice curl for evening out. My hair is unmanageable sometimes. A+ in service and courtesy. So nice, friendly and polite.

2021-12-22This used to be my favorite store, but after today that’s changed! I ordered 2 items online this past weekend because they were all out at the store, and a day later I got an email 1 item was ready for pickup, and the other was in transit.I waited a few days to give the item in transit time to arrive at the store, so I won’t have to fight traffic more than once to get there. Well, every day I received an email to come and pick up my item at the store. Early this morning the email read last chance to pick up your item.I went to the mall reluctantly, because the other item was still in transit just to be told my item that was supposed to there is nowhere to be found. The fact that the customer service manager and store manager showed very little remorse that I made a blank trip, and now have to last-minute replace the 2 gifts that were promised to be ready for pick up when I purchased it.My money was refunded, and that’s it. UPS was blamed for possibly delivering the package somewhere else, even though my text and emails clearly stated they were at Parks Mall. Customer service is nothing like it used to be. Thank you JC Penny for ruining my day of blissful shopping.😡🤬

2022-05-30Its never going to be the same as it used to be. Got a feeling its going to end up like sears soon. You can get most of the items at JCPenney at Walmart for far far cheaper.
