Went here for an inspection because Take 5 across the street didnt have an inspector in-house that day. Jiffy Lube had quick service. Upon leaving my check vehicle stability control (and check engine) light was on (still not sure why) and my vehicle was running strangely...I chalked it up to the cold weather, but when I unplugged the battery to reset the lights inside I noticed that my main vacuum hose was unconnected from the engine. I had checked the engine before the inspection and I would have noticed if it was unhooked. I appreciate the quick service, but fear what the negligence couldve done to my vehicle if I hadnt checked under the hood as soon as I did.
Brought in for an inspection & it took over 40 minutes just to be seen. Six employees & only 2 cars in the bay. 2 employees walking around talking & on their cell phones. One guy was walking like the walking dead, so slow with no sense of urgency. A sloth moves much faster than these guys!!! No joke!! It takes every employee to work on one vehicle at a time and they’re still slower than slow!! Customer service sucks at this location.
Brought in my F-150 to Thousand Oaks, San Antonio, TX location. Did Inspection, synthetic oil/filter change, air filter change and top off fluids. Did a great job, fast service and great customer service. Been taking my truck there since 2014 when I bought it. Always do a good job, fast and keep all my records. Recommend Thousand Oaks location!
I visited 4 places for an inspection prior to jiffy lube and none of them were able to do a simple inspection for various reasons. Finally I ended up at jiffy lube where they were super friendly and professional. I had my kids with me and they assured me it was no trouble at all, and that they would be quick. They took my caR in right away. Definitely going back for other car maintenance with these guys.
Edit: the guy that was working the vaccum that day or possibly the person pulling the vehichles into the bay stole something (I would prefer not too disclose exact otems) out of my truck.....I am 100% sure of this though.....Idk why there are so many reviews of the staff being friendly or helpful. They have taken an hr and a half and are still working on doing a basic oil change. Keep in mind there was kne car in front of me when I arrived. They let 2 cars go ahead of me that arrived after I had already been waiting. J tried to ask a couple questions when asked to wait in the lobby and was never even listened to let alone given an answer. I have no problem with jiffy lube but I will not be returning to this location again.
Would not recommend for state inspections- One time I went, they marked a huge S on my windshield with whatever liquid chalk-like marker, and even after scraping, regular car washes, and rain, it hasnt come off. If youre going to mark cars, please remove marking when finished. Another time that I went with a different vehicle, the inspector typed in a completely different VIN, not a typo of one or a few characters, but entirely wrong. This could not be fixed over the phone, so I had to make a second trip for them to fix it.
I have my vehicles inspected every year at the Jiffy Lube located at 3015 Thousand Oaks in San Antonio. The employees are professional and friendly. They never try to push additional services on me but if they see that something is needed or looks like it may be needed soon, they let me know and leave it to me without any pressure. I trust them and usually go ahead and take them up on their suggestions. Good maintenance, good sense. I definitely recommend them.
Truly the easiest and most efficient inspection Ive ever had. They were so helpful, friendly and efficient I returned the same day to have my oil changed. Sam was extraordinarily helpful and shared with me the Top Off policy thats included with the oil change. The knowledge that they stand behind filling all the fluids, oil and air in my tires if anything were to run low within the next 3000 miles I can pull into any jiffy lube. Granted, I doubt I will but, the possibility, customer service and value is worth spending a little extra. Thank you Sam, Rochelle and staff! Rochelle, great job on the windows and enthusiasm/encouragement of wanting to vacuum and do the windows.I say all that to say this, although I normally dread all this stuff but, the experience was so well executed that I wouldnt go anywhere else! I was willing to wait for the air filter, first time in my life to get it changed etc, they were out of stock but Sam got one delivered within 5 minutes. While totally giving me the option to take it off if I didnt want to wait. Truly exceptional experience from all. Thank you Jiffy Lube and team! You gained a customer and referral for life. As long as you keep it up of course ;)
Went in for an oil change, They let me know my one rear light and one reverse light was out as well as showed me my air filter was basically still brand new and didn’t need changing. Also they caught that I had left a plastic strip on my windshield wipers when I put the new ones on and took care of it for me. Great price. Friendly staff !
Been here many times. Discovered I needed an inspection last night - with this pandemic I have not driven much at all! They were very courteous from beginning to end. I took the opportunity and had them take care of my headlights as well. Bought it three years ago (so worth it!) and I have lifetime care to make sure the headlights stay bright all year long! Got a $10 off for my next oil change. There was no waiting line.
Had a high-quality and quick experience with my oil change and state inspection. Efrain and the rest of the team were very professional and communicated everything in laymans terms so that I could understand the technical aspects of what was being checked and any issues found with the car. A big bonus is that I got to stay in the car the entire time during this pandemic. Highly recommended!
I have been going to this location for 14 years now. The first ten I lived close to the location and the last four have been based on loyalty. I have seen my fair share of employees come and go, I have also seen all types of work ethic as well. I have never had a single issue up until two days ago.Normal inspections take this location no time at all and they follow all of the rules and guidelines as well. This time around, their machine went down after my inspection and they couldn’t update the system or get me the necessary paperwork. The manager was very kind and respectful to the time lost waiting for something they couldn’t control.He said I could come back tomorrow and he would print the paperwork for me since I passed and I said okay. Right as I was about to pull off, I hear a loud whistle and I was told the machine came back up. The manager took care of me and gave me a discount for an oil change.Again, this was my first ever issue and the manager handled it with professionalism. Stand up guy and this is the reason I drive way out of my way to go to this location. They follow the rules and they are incredible people.I highly recommend this location.
I how to get a car inspection, and the morning crew was fantastic! They had just opened and I was their first customer. I had my baby with me and they didnt even make me take him out. They let me stand right there, did the inspection really quick, and let me get back in while I waited for the paperwork and the bill. Would definitely recommend. They were so friendly and considerate.
Staff are always professional and knowledgeable. I never worry about taking long trips; the people here check out everything before I go and make suggestions on repairs when needed. Most of the time, I dont need anything and am thankful they dont try to sell me something every time I go in to have my car serviced.
Great service! I needed an inspection and they took care of it in less than 10 minutes, PLUS they fixed my rear windshield wiper for me. Ms Sam especially was great and helped me usher my 2 young sons in and out of the clean and tidy waiting room. I really appreciated the 15% off military discount too. Will definitely return—very impressed!
I was in town for a few days and needed to get a state inspection on my Dads car. I went to a mechanic shop and was told the only inspector would be back in 10 minutes, but Id have to make an appointment the following week to have the car checked. I went to Jiffy Lube and had an inspection and a synthetic oil change within 15 minutes.
The manager ,Sam, is so professional. She has her crew sharp and on top of things. The crew is polite and quick. I really enjoy that they keep you informed on the status of your car and educating you on what is best for the car. I would definitely go back for more services as long as she is there.
Once I arrived I was greeted immediately by a very nice gentleman who gave me instructions and guided me inside. Inside was very clean and organized and smelled lovely. The gentleman went over what was going to be done to my vehicle as well as pricing options. The work that was done was efficient and well done. I was in and out within the hour. My vehicles needs were taken care of as well as myself. I was very pleased with the service.
Their services were Swift and professional, I went here for an oil change didnt take long, I came in one slot was empty.They filled my fluids up with water and removed the sticker on the top left, they gave me the two options of Oil synthetic or the pure oil one, when I asked them which was better to test their knowledge they just mentioned the pure oil was better not much reasoning which disappointed me a bit. Over all experience was GoodMiguel Was professional and Quick with the whole process
The Thousand Oaks location is my go-to oil change destination and service is always really great but my service today was exceptionally good. Rochelle has outstanding customer service skills and was so patient with me when I didn’t understand the Groupon pricing. I had planned on walking to HEB while they were working on my car but since the other two employees started on my car right away, they were pretty much done by the time Rochelle had finally gotten me to understand the price and they made sure to remind me (without being pushy at all!) that my car was due for some standard maintenance stuff. I’ll continue to go to this location for all my oil changes :)
I recently had an oil change done at this location. It is around the corner from my office and very convenient. I dropped off my vehicle during my lunch break and it was ready when I returned. The entire Staff was friendly and professional.I had a small issue that was over looked, once this was found I made a call to speak with the Manager. Not only did they give me a new oil change they picked up my vehicle and brought it back to me. The service I received from the Manager (Dominic) was absolutely outstanding. I highly recommend this location. I am very happy with the fantastic Customer Service. Thank you!!
I really like this place ,they cut str8 to the chase ,i went in got my car inspected an i like that they will say oh your filter could be replaced or u need new wiper blades an they leave it at that ,they dont try an hound you on upsales like some places .they tell u what they recommend an if you say no thank u they print out your ticket an your on your way ,thats the way i like it ,fast an no trying to push extra stuff that u dont want .great job ,actually i take both of my cars here every year to get inspected an also had oil changes also ,always a good experience .Thank u nice peeps at jiffy lube.
I just want to say that the customer service was above and beyond my expectations. I had serval conversations with Efrain and he was very knowledgeable in servicing my vehicle. He had such a wonderful and upbeat personality that made my experience a definite return! Thank you Efrain.
I was assisted by a very kind and helpful associate. My vehicle required a part they did not have in stock, but they went out and picked up the needed part and didnt charge extra and it only took a few minutes extra. I will definitely be returning for any needed services.
After the long wait for a simple oil change, I was returning home when I heard a distinct scrapping sound that could only be plastic dragging underneath the car. Upon arriving at home, I found the skid plate unattached and underneath the car. After several phone calls and a second visit to this fine astablishment. I was promised that a replacement would be ordered and installed. Two weeks later and I have not received a single phone call. Attempted to call on multiple occasions to speak to the manager, wouldnt you know it, he was either absent or non existent. I will never be taking my vehicles to any jiffy lube for any service. Do not trust these grease monkeys. Oil changes are very simple to accomplish. Do yourself a favor and do it yourself. Oh, and in case you have not encountered it before, the up-selling of parts that are not needed is very irritating.(4/06/2019). Decided to add to this review. I finally had my skid plate replaced after much struggle. No apologies were made. I was promised by the manager that I would receive a free oil change on my next visit. I did not want to give this place a second thought, but my laziness prevailed. I came in on Saturday and explained to the tech, (who looked as if he had just rolled out of bed at eleven a.m.) that I should have a free oil change service. I was then informed that the manager was moved to another store, and if I wanted to redeem the free service I would need to drive to the store where he works. Never again will I visit a jiffy lube, not even if the service is free. DO NOT TRUST THESE FOOLS WITH YOUR VEHICLE!.
Service is fine, but the SAGO PALM to the right of the driveway makes it absolutely impossible to see traffic coming from the right to make a left turn out of the drive... at least from my small sedan. I have to put the nose of my car IN the road to actually see if its clear from the right. If its possible to relocate it or replace it with something less obstructive, that would be safer.
Went for an oil change, left with new oil, a cabin filter, and cleaned headlights. The headlights looked scratched, but that might be normal for the cleaning process, idk. when I got home I saw that my car was leaking a bit of oil. Now I have to go back tomorrow morning at 7:30 To fix the leak so I don’t miss school, very inconvenient.Conclusion: went back in the morning, they checked it really fast (no car lines). They forgot to clean the oil left over on my oil filter. I’m glad it didn’t take longer and tbh I got free coffee.
I’m really not sure what to make of my experience here, except I won’t be coming back, and other people need to be careful as well. I came in this past week.When I was called to pay, they went over the receipt with me. My tires were suppose to be rotated, it was on the bill, and the guy said yes when I asked if they were. Except - my tires had not been rotated.I had a flat on the rear driver side tire, and had it fixed a few days before I came in. There was a clear mark on it. The tire was still on the rear driver side, as I was being told they were rotated. I also needed to get air on the front driver side - it was still there, where it was before I came in.I brought it up, they seemed surprised then kind of humorously tried to change them right there. I told them don’t bother and just take it off the receipt. I then verified the filter they said they would replace was done (it was).The debit card reader happened to be offline, so I had to run to HEB to get cash. Then I was told the printer was offline too, so I wouldn’t get a receipt.I guess in fairness it was empty when I came in, and two customers came in after I did. I don’t know if that threw them off, but...really?Be careful if you go to this location, and verify everything. I don’t know if it was on purpose or not, but now I’m second guessing if the oil was changed with what I paid for (or even at all..).
I just got home from jiffy lube right now. They changed my oil,air conditioning filter,and engine filter.The man that helped me was tall,with blue eyes,he was very polite and informative.He took his time to anserw my questions and walked me through the checkout process.I will definitely be a returning customer!:)The recipt says Robert c. as the cashier, but Im not sure that was his name! Anywho! If the guy who helped me sees this, Thank you very much! your awesome:)
Been loyal customer of jiffy lube for four (4) years now. I always brought my car in this location coz its near from my residence. They treat you well by opening the door for you going to their waiting room with hot coffee dispenser. Also, very greatful for the DISCOUNT coupon they sent me every month. However, last Sunday (April 29, 2018), I brought my car for oil change. Usually they have FREE vacuum service, but not this time. I just noticed it when I got home. Thats why I just gave them 4 stars. I hope they will restore the FREE vacuum service as part of their good service the next time I will bring my car. Overall, I have good experience in this location for quality service.
Okay, so I went here for a simple oil change last weekend. They told me after 30 minutes that the oil cap (or something like that?) was too tight to remove, and Id have to go somewhere else with a specialized tool to remove it. I thought that was weird.. but okay.I went to Valvoline today to get an oil change and they let me know that Jiffy Lube stripped the cap so it was no longer removable.Basically these guys totally screwed up, and then they lied about their screw up. Really not cool. Its been a hassle trying to get just a simple oil change done thanks to you. Dont go here!
I used a Groupon for a Signature oil change here and the employees were very knowledgeable and friendly. They checked and topped off all of the fluids in the car (coolant has a $5 charge), inspected the filters, lights, and belts and even ran over to AutoZone to grab a new air filter for me so I wouldnt have to wait long or come back later. They vacuumed the floors, washed the exterior windows, and filled the tires.The waiting room is a little bare but they dont keep you waiting long. Will definitely go back for my next oil change.
Early morning state inspection. In and out in under thirty minutes! So clean, courteous and kind. These guys rock! Recently I had gotten done with work early, ready to hit the road, I pulled in to see how long the wait was, nothing! Just knocked out one more thing I had to do tomorrow!
Went in for a quick oil change. I always check the small details of everything. I can easily do an oil change but with 2 little kids, who has the time. So went there and got the full synntheic oil and filter change. I live 3 minutes away from there. So went home, turned my wheel to look at the filter and to my surprise, it was the same old dirty filter from before. I know its only 5 bucks, how do you expect someone to go back for any service after being able to validate what has and hasnt been done. Everyone double check the work.UpdateWent back and spoke with AJ and Samantha and they took great care of me. I will go back as long as Samantha is there working. Thanks again guys.
Went to this shop for an oil change and state inspection. For the second time at that location they turned the vehicle down for wiper blades. I had checked the blades prior to going to the store because of a past problem there. Blades were perfect, perfect coverage and no tears. I was told my blades were flat. When I asked what flat meant I was shown the blade and the smallest portion of the blade that actually contacts the glass was at about a 45 degree angle. The inspectors said it should be standing straight up, no angle. Blades are spring loaded and no way even on a new blade that it will stand up straight. I said forget it. Went home and looked up the state regs and there is no mention of flat blades, only torn rubber and poor coverage were listed as reasons for rejection. Had enough of that, after 3 vehicles and over twenty years frequenting this shop, I will not be back. Guaranteed it will cost them more than they would have made on those unneeded wiper blades.
Called to ask about state inspections during Covid-19 pandemic. LOTS of neighbors recommended for contactless/ not get out of vehicle. I was TOLD by JIffy Lube that would wear gloves, could pass card through passenger side, they can test the windows from passenger side, email receipt, alcohol off credit card. I show up, with traffic sadly 3 mins to close time. Not ONLY did he NOT wear gloves, taking the cards, he also came back to my vehicle to start OPENING my driver door while I sat in the car!!! I open sunroof to hear him, he tells me he must drive my car and TX DMV rules. I told him thats NOT what told me on the phone, I ask for my cards back. I tell him lots of neighbos came up here and did NOT get out the car.SOOOOO, why did the bait and switch me over the phone?? I call back, same person named JOHN answers phone and I hear I will get that because I am sure my screaming out the moon roof about LIES TO CUSTOMERS he knew I would call. REFUSED to put the person on phone I originally talked to, then asks the other coworker and says I can come back tomorrow.....UH, NO THANKS!! NO contactless, NO respect.
I got a safely inspection at this jiffy lube and they tried to tell me that my ooga horn was not a legal horn and let me know that next year they would not pass me for it even though they passed it this time and there is no law in Texas or Bexar County against said horns.Texas Transportation Code § 547.501. Audible Warning Devices(a) A motor vehicle shall be equipped with a horn in good working condition that emits a sound audible under normal conditions at a distance of at least 200 feet(d) A warning device, including a horn, may not emit an unreasonably loud or harsh sound or a whistle.
I gave them one more chance. FAIL! Hours on website AND door to business indicate they close at 7:30. I pull in at 6:50 for an oil change. Sorry, were closed. I pointed to them to their signage says 7:30. No, we closed at 7. I then pointed out it wasnt 7. Well be open tomorrow at 7:30. Been here twice and zero customer service. The Jiffy Lube on 281 (San Pedro) is customer focused and thats why I go there, though its out of the way. ***The next morning, the website was updated to show a 7PM closing time***
Went for state inspection. I was told i needed a new serpentine belt. I asked to clarify he was saying I needed belt to pass inspection. He said yes. I ask how much? $101.50 or you go buy one and we will pit it on.Someone else yells to him Ill do it for $20 labor as a friend price. I said no thanks.I had previously reviewed the state web site and made my own point by point inspection prior to going. Nothing on web site said a squeaky (it was) or worn (it was not) belt would fail. I went 2 miles down the road to another Jiffy and passed. I asked after sale, if a worn belt would have failed me. The attendant said no. I must assume they were trying to make a quick sale and hoping I would just pay instead of being in convienced with another trip.
I was hesitant upon arriving for my oil change. Reason being, whenever i leave one of yalls locations my steering wheel is oil slick along with the inside and outside door handle. I expressed my concern to the crew that i wanted only CLEAN hands entering my new truck.In the end, all went well. ROCHELLE made sure a rag caught her fill gun after pulling it out of the oil fill spot in the engine. She went as far as to wipe off a small smudge left from the fender protection mat. i normally rotate between stores just to get better service. I believe this will be the one i stick to. keep up the good work ROCHELLE
Customer service is poor considering this is a service industry. Bays are left open too long with various employees standing around not doing anything. The idea behind these places is to get as many vehicles serviced with utmost quality. Employees have no sense of urgency. Ive been to other locations but this particular location is dreadful.
100% awesome. I work 2 jobs, 60+ hours a week. They got me in, out, and didnt push anything, even told me my filter was good ( I always expect a lie for the upsell). 1st time here, will def be back for the customer service. Didnt sniff at the groupon I used either. Annette, Shawn and Martin made a customer for as long as they are there.
1st google review of my life: This place?... WORST place EVER!! Today was my first and last time here. I decided to give this place a shot over my usual place since it was two streets closer to me...BIGGEST mistake ever. I went in for an inspection...then my car went out of sight....ONE HOUR LATER...they couldnt find me in their system to charge me....my car was suspiciously parked away from all the other cars...and then they couldnt find my keys! Wth??! Oh and the receipt said my car was only worked on for 17 minutes! What the??!
Will, I assume you are speaking of the jiffy lube on Thousand oaks, and you had your motor blown this past summer. and you had the beat up car with the bad vibrating engine and multiple leaks. You also claimed to have found the filter on the highway, showed it to the manager and then magically lost it when it was asked for again. Also, your vehicle went 2500 miles with the wrong filter on it, very very very unlikely due to the fact the filter would not have fit nor stayed on at initial start up. Not too mention that the spindle and mounting plate were impeccably clean with no apparent damage to either one or any damage to the fan housing which would have resulted in a filter blowing off with force while at speed. Before you post bogus claims just be thankful that jiffy lube never questions the customer and you were able to get away with getting a pay out on your old clunker.
Just wanted to say thank you to the crew at jiffy lube on thousand oaks....did a very good job taking care of my car.....johnny was very good at explaining what my car needed according to the dealer recommendations....dont know the person running the shop but he has to be very happy with his crew.....this will be my stop everytime i need my car serviced.....😃

2022-03-26I needed an inspection and I hate taking my car anywhere. There was a bit of a wait as it seems this place is popular. I sat in line thinking I should have went to a bigger jiffy lube, but by the time I left I was feeling pretty this. There was this kid working named Josh who came to tell me that my inspection had passed and they just needed to put my filters back and top up my washer fluid. He went through the whole list of what was right very quickly, and when I checked out he was genuinely nice.I can’t express enough how much customer service matters to me. I’m not the type of person to harass an employee if I’m unhappy - I simply won’t return. I will go out of my way to patron businesses with whom I feel comfortable, and I would go out of my way to return to this jiffy lube.Thank you for not making my experience horrible.

2022-02-27No one came out to greet me or ask me what services I needed. The other line went through 4 cars before my line even moved one car and I was there way before the other cars. When someone did come acknowledge me he was nice but I should not have had to wait for over an hour. I will probably never come back and will return to use Pep Boys that is located just across the street for all my mechanical needs.

2022-06-16I had used another Jiffy Lube location for several years but stopped at this location yesterday out of convenience and Im glad I did! Joshua E. was so kind, respectful and professional! He and his team did a fantastic job and I wont go to another Jiffy Lube again. The best part was that Joshua E. didnt try to upsell me at every turn! Great experience!

2022-04-10Store manager Darryl and his crew did an amazing job. Having a high mileage vehicle Darrell did advise me on little things to keep my truck running. This Jiffy Lube is kind of out of my way to come too but I will be coming this way more often to get my oil changed and any services.
