This roller ring is behind the Ace Hardware and next door to Mrs. Cayses in Midland. You would never know it was there without looking for it. Parking may be adequate but not numerous. I liked the music and also the old fashion limbo and other games they played during the All Skate. The inside of the skates are old. But they roll well. The place is clean and the employees are helpful. The handwashing station is outside the bathroom but at least they offer one. There are no rails around the rink for those who are learning or skatemates that I saw.
Dress code? Seriously!! I never in my life have seen something so asinine. They pick and choose who to enforce it on too. Mainly girls. Guess you need a suit and tie to roller skate there. And the rude staff is a joy to deal with too........Its a private establishment, so they are free to enforce whatever, rules they see fit. But that doesnt stop me from letting everyone know of their practices.
I was there with this kid named Tobi and everyone tells me he asks for money when he works there and once he threaten to beat up a kid if he didn’t get money also the workers are rude and one time they wouldn’t give me my shoes after I told them that my parents were outside they said they had to come in the building but I told them she has baby’s on the car
Went on a Sunday. Small crowd, no lines at the concessions stand. However, the workers were very straight faced and a little unfriendly for the environment. Food is a bit pricey. $3 for 4 chicken nuggets. The soft pretzels are also $3 but they are a fair size for the price.
I would give this place Zero stars if I could. Had a birthday party there and staff and Owner were rude the whole time. They kept harassing the kids for having a hat on and for one kid trying to charge there phone in the wall outlet. Owner got mad and said you have to pay me if you want to use my electricity. I would not recommend this place and would not ever come back
It is a very fun place to go, but I have a few complaints. First of all, the bathroom stalls do not have doors. The staff is very rude and didnt allow me to have water near the actual SKATING part. Some of the lights are flashing and seziure inducing, which is VERY dangerous. There is quite a bit of holes in the skating part, you just have to avoid them. There is a lot of little kids all the time and the teens that just want to hang with their friends cant because of the little kids and yk, we might fall on them and like, kill them but yk. Its a very fun place to skate though!
The way the workers talk make me want to kill myself they are so rude. They let kids sit there and guess other peoples locker numbers and theyll take your stuff. No one is at the shop desk and takes them 10 minutes to get one person. The rink is small and it is so crowded they should have a limit. The restrooms have no doors which is really uncomfortable and very unsafe anyone can see inside the restrooms and its gross and dirty.
This place is a classic and a place that I used to enjoy when I was younger. Sadly, the owner is one of the rudest people in Midland. I brought my little sister and brother and he told us we weren’t allowed in again because he found a small rock in her roller skates, and threw them down on the counter. He told this to my 8 year old sister at the time. Looking at other reviews, he is clearly very rude not only to adults, but to children also. It’s sad that a place for kids is run but such a rude person. Won’t be returning.
Incredibly annoying that I have to go inside to pick my child up. Probably illegal too I wonder if the people that work here could face legal repercussions for detaining children against their will. The guy that owns it has been a real piece of work even since I was a kid going there and the staff has always been ethically questionable at best in their treatment of the children that come here.
It’s sad to see that a roller skating rink for kids is run by such a rude, and careless owner, they did not let my sister in even though she was appropriately dressed. If I could give them less then a star I would. This place sucksssss. The owner is not friendly at all.
Staff and policies are very strict. You cant get your shoes unless you have an adult with you, which is very inconvenient. As stated before, the staff is very inconsiderate. Snacks and drinks are very pricy, along with souvenirs and toys.Overall, this place is a great place to skate if your a robot with instructions programmed into you.
My kids love this place! We are here almost twice a week. Afternoons work best for us, but the special events are great! Check website for rules, hours and pricing as it does vary. The staff here are awesome... and the rules are enforced! If you do go,be sure to say hi to Mr. Sunshine! :)
This was always a Decent … little place for kiddos until the owners son started causing problems with our kids , and the owner herself would always single our kids out for what amounted to pettiness .. instead of talking to us she would jump on them , and we are always there supervising … our children have always been respectful and never caused problems …Furthermore , we have spent plenty of money there … had birthday parties there as well … and have given them business during Covid when they had very few people going ..Sad, but poor business !Too bad they have theMonopoly on the skating business in Midland !
It is a GREAT place to have a party and have some fun. HOWEVER, the owner is NOT very nice. I understand being strict. Trust me I agree with it. But he does talk to ADULTS like they are stupid and have no sense. His staff is also very bland. I was at a party and the guy talking on the mic was very monotone and sounded like he did NOT want to be there. The staff was not very friendly at all. The thing that made it worth it was that you get to skate. :( Also, they do not allow strollers inside the building. I have a small baby who was sleeping. I had to wake her up because of this rule. I use a doona stroller and that sucker is heavy. but I can assure you that the owner did not care. :(
My daughter and her friends had paid to enjoy their night , but ended up coming home less then 30 minutes later telling me they got yelled at by the employees! And one of the employees blocked the door from my daughter and her friends from leaving and forcing them to roller skate when after being harassed to leave because they were taking a break from roller skating never have I ever had an experience like this in my life . Very disappointed
My expectations were that the staff would be very friendly but instead they were very unmannerly. Although one man was kind hearted. However we had an outstanding time. Another thought that we had in mind was that their children should not be aloud to participate in most of the activities.
I have had nothing but good experiences at KCs Nutty Roller. The place, despite its age, is very clean and well kept, and the rink is very smooth and well taken care of. The sound system is great, and the lights are a nice touch! Thumbs up for KCs Nutty Roller from me.Also, do not believe all the people saying bad things about the owner. He is a great person, he just enforces the rules he has posted on the door. He has the right to deny entry to/throw out anyone who does not follow those rules. The people who complain about this place are either spoiled or entitled.
We went on a Tuesday, discount day, and there were less than 10 people skating, so it was really easy for beginners to get on the floor without fear of being run over. We had such a good time weve started going every Tuesday. Plus we found out they offer skating lessons.
Skating surface was actually pretty bad and scary. It is not smooth, it is a epoxy finished concrete surface with many bad patches. Really didnt get much enjoyable skating in, seems about every 15 min they had some special skate going on which would exclude many. The owners and staff were extremely nice though.
If I had to give no stars I would.. the manager Kevin is extremely disrespect to black.. he called my little cousins brats and calling kids names... he slam skates to my kids.. made my little girl cry, because he was yelling at her telling her she is lying ... she asked for a plate he gave her a napkin... my little girls cant share there food they have to pay EXTRA for something that was ALREADY PAID FOR
I dropped off my oldest (17) and my middle (11) and her friend (also 11). My oldest wasnt planning on skating at all, he just went to keep an eye on them. He calls me after I left and tells me he needs socks because they were forcing him to pay for a skate rental (because you know the $10 just to get in obviously isnt enough). So I haul butt home to grab his socks and haul butt back to the skating rink. As Im pulling in they are all 3 standing outside. I was furious!!! They kicked 3 kids out over 1 pair of freaking socks yall!!!!!!!! Nope, not going back and never will.
If you have a group of kids do NOT expect go to go to this venue to have a good time. Who do they think they are telling someone to take off theyre hat before they even step on the property??? If the facility is so state of the art then why doesnt it have a changing station in the restroom or even a DOOR in the stall??? To top it off the clock runs ahead so they kick everyone out 10 minutes beforehand. They obviously have also never heard of air conditioning. Why dont they use all that money they charge to get in the dump on a decent system??? Then they expect you to buy the horrible food and drinks please shut this place down for the love of humanity. -0stars
This roller rink is the worst one I have ever been too! The owner yelled at my daughter immediately when she got out of the car because she had her skates on before entering the rink. Also, they do not allow stoppers on inline skates. So if you have to stop be prepared to fall. Also no black wheels are allowed. Very very strict rules . Oh and cant wear anything that shows skin. Which I know the US is land of the free. This place should be in Saudi Arabia or any Middle East country it would get a lot more business! I know this, lived it!!
Attended a birthday party for one of my daughters friends... my son couldn’t get the hang of skating so I figured I would exchange his skates for skates for myself to go and take care of my daughter on the rink... at first they exchanged the skates but the owner told me that I would have to pay to skate... and of course i offered to pay but this establishment doesn’t take debit (dodging taxes I’m sure) and owner could have let it slide, but was extremely rude about it and I cordially returned my skates and got my shoes back... no way to run a business and make a patron feel uneasy for 10 measly dollars... will not be back and will definitely pass along my bad experience...
Good place to skate and good place but the staff were rude because my friend is 13 and got sent behind the counter because she was yelling and then he said stop I dont wanna hear your voice again and she stopped and asked him calm if she could leave now and her ride was there he said BEHIND THE COUNTER NOW she was so mad and finally they came in and got her.
This place is the worst skating rink I have ever been to! I manage a skating rink in Colorado and wanted to check out this rink while in town! It is EXTREMELY overpriced! $41 for four people even though we have our own skates! Also, they charge you $1 and make you sit for 20 minutes if they catch you chewing gum! The floor is extremely dangerous because of all of the chips and holes in it (they even patched some with duck tape). The owner was screaming and yelling at little kids and was extremely rude right when we walked in the doors! I would never recommend this rink to anyone!
The owners and employees are VERY rude when answering the phone to ask questions, are very rude in general, and know how to make a scene in front of everyone that is there. Also to note that their bathrooms arent that well(not very sanitary) and their snacks and drinks are expensive.

2022-04-03This is a pretty good place. It is cash only. The snack bar prices are way good.Party area is good. Floor is awesome. Great sound system. Great staff. Great roller blades and skates.(It could use some big fans as it gets a little hot)Owner / manager is on top of it also. We are planning 2 parties after today. It’s that good.

2022-05-23Ive been there multiple times, and sometimes, I have fun. But other times, I do not. This is coming from a kids point of view, so hear this out. Yes, there might not be stalls on the restrooms ( Which is gross ) and I have seen boys loitering outside of the girls restrooms. Its gross in there, so I always go before hand. The music is always on repeat, and there are some people who skate WAY too fast, and weave through you. Ive seen many little kids get run over from those people who think they can speed through. Then, theres the fact that the owner carries around a flashlight. Hell shine it right into your eyes if youre doing something wrong. Hes done this to me before, and I was blinded, so I wasnt able to see. I ended up running into the sideline! Theres also the stupid rule that you cant hang on to the side, or else the flashlight gets flashed at you. Youre not allowed to have rips in your pants, yet youre allowed to wear chains? Wheres the logic in that. Anyways, do what you must with this review, but just remember that this is coming from my view as a kid, and not as an adult.

2022-06-26Every single one of the employees here were ridiculously rude. The owner was the rudest one yelling and talking at you even to me and my young child. I’ve been here twice and each time was the same. Very strict dress code and rules. I won’t ever return to this place and would never recommend this place to anyone!!!

2022-06-05Completely irrational rules that made no sense. Owner did not care to elaborate or explain why there dress code was so strict. Honestly I felt like I was going in a court room or church. Its supposed to be a place of fun and enjoyment. The owner has got to be the rudest individual I have ever met with no care for customer service. P.s. even though we are in the 20th century, they do not take any other form of payment but cash. Next time I will remember to bring my frankincense and myrrh for payment.

2022-03-16This is a fun place to take the kids. Unfortunately. The floor of the rink, is definitely overdue for a makeover and a bit of a face lift. But other than that,. My family had a pretty good time

2022-03-27This place is a disgrace. No doors on bathrooms or stalls. Boys were just walking right in to the girls restroom able to see everything. Staff are the rudest people I’ve ever encountered in Midland and I was raised here. Do yourself a favor and make the drive to MCM in Odessa. Way better environment for kids and adults and you will spend far less money. I hope they get shut down.

2022-02-27I haven’t been to this place in at least 20 years, NOTHING has changed! It smells awful, the skates are the same ones from 20 years ago, laces are cut off where you can’t even lace them up anymore. All the staff has the same condescending attitude they did 20 years ago… The way I saw some of the kids being talked to was ridiculous, of course when their parents weren’t around! There are rules posted everywhere, some of them are very petty and a little ridiculous. There are NO doors on the bathroom stalls, I find this disturbing. Extra fees for everything, I even noticed they sell bandaids in the sticker vending machine! Definitely not a great “first time at the skating rink” experience for my little boy!

2022-01-08We have come to this skating rink many times but the last time was the last time. At first this place seemed nice enough and we even got to know the owner and a few employees however the rules are very strict. I understand that there is a liability to letting people do anything they want but I mean you cant even take water that you bought there to the lockers because they are electric.. really??? Also one time when we came the daughter called me out for having a short shirt which wasnt even showing anything but I saw some mom that had a very short skirt on which was fine? Whatever not going back, we go to mcm to skate now. Much more free environment and the skating service is hole and bump free!!!

2021-10-09Dress code is enforced depending on who you are and who is helping you at the front desk. Spaghetti shirt not allowed but mini skirt is not an issue. Kids falling left and right. Walkers are not allowed due to safety. It doesn’t make sense having children getting hurt is safer than them actually skating using the walkers??? It would’ve been better to flush 100 bucks than be there for 20 mins, and leave because kids just can’t skate on their own. Having to follow the direction of the rollers but then turning around because you can’t go inside the ring with shoes. Just very weird to understand the safety protocols.
